They were sneaking away, but thankful for him they weren't trying to make a full on sprint for the sake of being quiet. Marcellus always moved in a graceful or whimsical fashion, and that didn't exactly translate well into running. He wasn't a fast, or athletically inclined individual. He never really saw the need to train athletically, seeming to over look the years of near death experiences. Especially with Cronus around, he never really needed to do more then walk, and sometimes not even that. Marcellus could see Liz had Josette with her, so he wasn't worried for her. So he kept his eyes on the path ahead, with quick glances back. Josette was looking up to Liz with her large eyes as she responded. She blinked as she listened to Liz, it wasn't the answer the little princess wanted but she smiled anyways. "Yes, it counts." She said in her tired voice, and pat the arms that was holding her. She had started it get back to herself after her wild trip in the crocodile's mouth. He hadn't gotten a good look at herself, her blonde hair a bit messy or her dress. This time, she kept her eyes on the Absol. Even as a Jynx, Josette's psychic abilities were no where near the caliber as Cronus's, but now she had been devolved into a Smoochum they were weakened even more. Of course, she still had her telekinetic powers, and was able to psychically speak, but she wasn't able to sense to multitask like Cronus could. So when Liz asked if they were safe, she leaned around to look at Marcellus and Cronus. "I think so... She might be preoccup-" He began to answer, but was cut off by Cronus. "If we're under ground, lets presume we're not safe." Cronus told both of them, floating behind them. Leah could easily out run Liz and Marcellus, so he was expecting her to watch the front. Seeing as she had a specific sense for danger being an Absol. He was covering the group from behind. If the Krookodile snuck up on them, he knew he wanted to be the one to fend her off. Especially if she was been able to go toe to toe with him. It was very frustrating to the Psychic, especially with his pride and ego, being one of the strongest psychics in the world it was incredibly frustrating having his powers limited. Hitting something he couldn't do was never a good thing for the Mewtwo. Liz paused to look back, causing both Marcellus and Cronus to look back. Cronus moved a fire ball further down the tunnel until a red and black blur appeared. Josette screamed as Liz exclaimed they weren't safe. "Definitely not safe!" Marcellus echoed as he whirled around and began to sprint down the tunnel. There he was again, sprinting down the caves of Mt. Mortar, just like he had when the evil teams caused a cave in before Missingno. attacked. It didn't take long for Marcellus to run out of breath, as he ran. Cronus how ever, tried to help with defense, but no matter how many quick barriers he put up, she smashed right through. He couldn't spend time enough to make them strong to hold her back. Josette watched the beast running behind them, as she quickly tapped Liz's shoulder nervously. She ducked her head down as she had to squeeze through the forming rocks. Marcellus, being taller then Liz but thankfully lean enough, was able to squeeze through the crags that were forming, having to duck down or turn sideways to get through them. Cronus however was able to levitate his body horizontal to slide right through easily without slowing down. Marcellus followed the path straight like Liz did, however, he sprinted right past her. It wasn't until Cronus psychically grabbed him by the shoulders, and yanked him back and around the corner. Causing him to let out a surprised yelp. He hadn't seen Liz's plan, and would have run right off the edge himself, but Cronus was smart enough to figure out the clever plan. Now standing opposite of Liz on the wall. After the conversation with Copper, Julian decided that the place he most wanted to be was with his friends - and after their brief stint apart, Marcellus was now considered much more a friend than he had been when they'd parted. Julian hadn't really known what he was going to do when he'd left the others. Now that he'd had his little vacation he was ready to get back to his mission. He was ready to start working towards that eighth gym badge.
So he had stopped by the Pokemon Center once more and then flown away from Jubilife in the direction he knew Liz and Marcellus to be. They couldn't be in the next town or city yet, not enough time had passed. So he set his sight for somewhere in between - the mountains. When he landed, he was almost immediately swept up into a battle with some guy who was apparently training to take on the same Dragon-Type Gym Leader that Julian still had yet to beat. "...because only Dragons can beat Dragons good and proper!" Julian got a sense of distinct dottiness from the guy.
The first part of the battle was set to take place against a Gyarados. It appeared and rose to it's full and average height for it's kind. Julian sent out Persian, who was well practiced in bringing down any sort of Gyarados by now. From above it shot a heavy jet of water down over Persian, but as it was looking down it didn't realize storm clouds were gathering above it. By then it was too late. Three Thunder attacks came crashing down as it was still shooting water at her, and her move did way more damage than his could have. Little did he know the friends he'd come to find were closer than he suspected. TL;DR

Don't you cry no more Julian had picked up a victory against the Gyarados. When the other Trainer returned his fainted Pokemon and Julian had done the same to Persian, he waited to see what he would be introduced to next. It turned out to be a dragon he'd never seen before. It had metallic scales, and showed off it's fangs and claws while it waited for it's enemy. Julian did not know what this dragon's skills and abilities might be, so he sent out Noctowl quite at random.
Even without wings, this dragon proved to be fast so he was glad he'd picked Noctowl. The owl could fly up and out of reach, but if he'd chosen a Pokemon who was stuck on the ground then he knew he might not have been so lucky. Even though Noctowl kept out of reach, it began to clang and bang it's scales together in order to create a sound-based attack that he could not hear, but could still somehow feel in the air. Noctowl in turn shot moon blasts right back. In fact they exchanged blows like this for quite some time. In the end, Noctowl was still in the air and Kommo-o was laid out on the ground. TL;DR

Elizabeth Morgan Krookodile bellowed furiously as she rolled into the craggy exit. Her momentum carried her straight on through minor blockage and opened up the tunnel fresh and clear. Her spin ended as she realized she was out in the sunlight and no longer rubbing against any bit of earth beneath her. As the giant red crocodile Pokemon flew free of the debris she had launched, her roll broke as she realized she was in big trouble. Krookodile fell from their high vantage all the way down to the road below with a terrible CRASH! Her landing would be right in between the battling trainers near the base of the mountain which left the mighty Krookodile unconscious and whining with pain. Liz looked panicked at first, she had kept her eyes shut until she heard Krookodile scream. Now that she was looking, she couldn't see her friends! "Marcellus? Marcellus!? CRONUS!?" She peered over the ledge without even glancing to her left where Marcellus and Cronus had gone. Liz appeared to believe he had gone right over with Krookodile. Because Cronus was apparently stupid enough to do that. The redhead was fit to cry. There was absolutely zero evidence the boys had gone over but she had now convinced herself that was somehow the case. When one of them finally decided to point out her mistake there was little room to avoid making Liz scream as though she were being attacked by Ghosts. Unless Josette was kind enough to give the girl her relief by poking and pointing out the objects of her panic. Marcellus and Cronus were just fine. Don't you cry no more When both Pokemon were put away to make room for the next, Julian was presented with the opposition of a Dragonite. These, he knew, were incredibly powerful Pokemon. He would not underestimate it. He thought for a moment and decided that he had a point - Dragons did do significant damage to other Dragons. So he sent out Nightrial. For a moment, they only stared at one another. Then as if a starting gun had been fired, they both shot powerful Dragon-Type attacks at one another that met in mid-air, and detonated. Again they waited, and again they did the same moves which met and exploded between them.
Obviously they were testing the waters, trying to see what the other could do. Then Dragonite shot straight for Nightrial, who had expected another long-distance attack. Nightrial tried to use Dragon Pulse again, but Dragonite plowed right through the middle of the blast and slammed into him. After the impact, Dragonite was off balance and tried to land next to Nightrial in order to get it's bearings, but Nightrial swept it's long tail into Dragonite's feet and sent him crashing to the ground, where Nightrial put his front claws against the other dragon's body to pin it down and started gathering energy for another attack in it's mouth.
The point-blank attack would have surely finished the job, but Dragonite had used another Dragon-Type attack at the exact same moment. The explosion this time was much larger than before, sending Nightrial head-over-tail into the air before he could unfurl his wings and catch himself. Dragonite was below - unseen - in the smoke. Just then, a commotion caused Nightrial to look around for it's source. A Krookodile had landed beside them, apparently having fallen from the mountains above. If so, it would be lucky to be alive. Unfortunately, Dragonite hadn't realized something was interfering with their battle. It emerged from the smoke mere feet away from Nightrial and launched the energy it'd been gathering below in a massive Hyper Beam that hit Nightrial at point-blank range. Don't you cry no more Nightrial had no hope of escape. He fell to the ground, where Julian returned him. As far as he was concerned, that was a cheap shot. He couldn't say so though. He sent out Noctowl - who looked hurt from the previous battle but fortunately Dragonite was slow after such a massive use of it's energy. Noctowl used a Moon Blast attack and Dragonite just couldn't tank this last hit. He was returned, and Noctowl landed near Julian. The look he gave the Trainer made it clear that he was tired and wanted to be given a chance to rest. Julian obliged and returned the owl. This was a quick exchange to finish the Dragonite so he had the chance to look around and see what the deal was with the Krookodile. Either it had lost it's footing or someone had treated this Pokemon carelessly upon defeating it. No, he couldn't let himself get distracted in this battle or he'd lose it. Round 1 Dragonite must recharge! Noctowl used Moon Blast (-180, 0/1000) Dragonite has fainted! Nightrial and Noctowl split 35 exp.

Marcellus brought his hand to cover his mouth, despite his need to catch his breath, in fear he held his breath. He watched wide eyed at the exit mere feet away where the beast would soon emerge. The male was quick to catch on what the plan was, seeing as he nearly fell for it himself quite literally. Both trainer and mewtwo knew that if the beast had seen either of them, and stopped herself. They would all be goners unless Cronus had gained back enough strength to teleport them out. Even still, it probably wouldn't be a very fun trip. The plan seemed to work as the matriarch barreled out of the opening and right over the edge. Marcellus let out a sigh of relief, and began to attempt to recapture his breath again. He began to slowly gingerly lean over the edge, to check, and indeed she did fall all the way down the mountain. "Well... That was something I'd like to forget." He commented under his breath, looking to Cronus, who was more then annoyed. Cronus prided himself in being untouchable. The fact that he now was brandishing a bruise was insulting to him. Josette however, still in Liz's arms began to celebrate happily. Her head bobbing back and forth happily. At least until she heard Liz's cry. There had been a bit of a cloud of dust as the beast erupted from the cave entrance, so maybe Liz hadn't seen Marcellus. The Smoochum stopped celebrating and looked back to the red head. "Um, Liz? It's okay.." She began to speak, gingerly, trying to pat her arms. Josette was trying to offer an explanation and point the boys out. But once the dust cleared Marcellus moved towards the red head. He had heard her cries for them, but he had assumed once she saw him, she'd understand they were okay. He had sorely mistaken. "Your plan worked perfectly! That was so ingenious, Elizabeth!" He complimented her. His plan probably would have been to face her head on, rather then what they actually did. However, he had expected an out burst of excitement, maybe a hug. Not a loud scream. Marcellus flinched and recoiled away from her, but Cronus didn't move. Marcellus moved forward again. "It's alright everyone is safe," Marcellus tried to calm her seeing the fear in her expression. "I appreciate the worry and theatrics, but not that much if you expected us to be as idiotic as she was." Cronus commented calmly. Don't you cry no moreStill unable to see the two Trainers who had caused the disturbance and cost his Nightrial everything, Julian turned his focus back to the battle. This time the guy sent out another Gyarados - only this time the hulking sea-serpent was far larger than any Gyarados he'd ever seen in person. He'd been told horror stories about creatures like this in his youth and to see this in person made his mind seem to... shut down. He tried really hard to get his focus back. He fumbled and sent out Persian again. It wasn't a move he'd planned out, it wasn't something he'd chosen to do. It just happened.
Well he was stuck with it now. Persian had done well against one Gyarados, even if it had been half the size. Gyarados sprayed Persian and he was surprised to see that the cat hadn't been washed away. Digging in claws, Persian held on and just like before gathered storm clouds over the hulking leviathan. Gyarados continued spraying Persian until the Thunder came crashing down. Gyarados fell - no much better as a giant than it's previous team member had been at resisting the electrical blast.
It had fallen and Persian was left standing. Granted, the cat was thoroughly soaked through to the bone for the second time in an hour and wanted nothing more than to claw the face off of the Gyarados Trainer. Fortunately for the unsuspecting bloke, Julian returned Persian and decided to give the big cat time to dry herself off and recover. Not that he had much of a choice, after all that Persian would be out for his blood if he hadn't given her a chance to recuperate. TL;DR

Elizabeth Morgan When Marcellus had interrupted Liz's fears her scream echoed. She held Josette in both hands and away from the two, though her pose appeared to indicate she had been considering flinging the princess Pokemon at her "attackers." She stared wide-eyed at the boys, then grappled Marcellus' neck while holding Josette like a doll. "You're OK! I didn't see you come out! I was so worried!" She cried, explaining part of why she thought they'd been taken to the bottom with Krookodile. "I felt my hair stand up and then suddenly it was gone. I thought she got you!" She added, giving a perfectly reasonable argument how she thought Cronus could have fallen down the cliff face when he could fly and teleport. For once she had a fair point even if it might offend the Psychic type's pride. Krookodile's interference had created a situation that made Liz believe Cronus' psychic powers had been stopped. They had already seen she could completely ignore it.
Liz was still hugging Marcellus when a realization struck her. Krookodile was an evil Dark Type, but it had still gone flying off a cliff! "Is she alive!?" She had no reason to want that but her father had raised her too well. She let go of Marcellus to see Krookodile unmoving on the ground in the middle of a trainer battle. That made Liz panic. "Cronus! Can you get me down there? Please!" The redhead was clearly desperate even after having the monstrous croc threaten her life multiple times today. She could pick her way down, but Cronus could levitate or teleport the group and get her to work on Krookodile's wounds right away. How she could even think about treating such a beast was beyond her own sensibility yet here she was begging Cronus to take her there so they could make sure she was OK. She was still a matriarch for a large family. Unfortunately, it dug in it's large feet and charged again. Enduring the Earthquake it slammed into Typhlosion again. Putting Tyrantrum into a sort of trance, the giant stumbled again and the bear-like Fire-Type Pokemon made the ground quake yet again. Large stones rolled down from the mountains above, but the battling Pokemon and Trainers alike ignored this as they concentrated on what they deemed more important - winning. Just as victory seemed assured, Tyrantrum shook off whatever spell Typhlosion had used and charged once more. This time, when the massive head collided with Typhlosion, he did not get back up. His most powerful Pokemon had been beaten, though he did not know it yet, in front of the two people he most wanted to prove himself to. TL;DR

However, he did feel Josette between them trying to gently push him away to get her space back, having been smooshed between them. "Well, I almost did, I didn't see the ledge until Cronus stopped me." Marcellus admitted, not feeling bad about admitting his mistake in hopes of neutralizing Cronus's statement. However he did pause, as though expecting the hug to end, but it still held firm. Cronus looked to the redhead as she continued to explain her worry. While, having his intellect compared to the likes of the near hillbilly mind of the Krookodile, and apparently Marcellus, was offensive to him... Liz didn't exactly see him for his power. Granted she didn't know the extent of his powers when they weren't nerfed by large amounts of dark energy. But most didn't usually. He wasn't completely unknown to the human race, his siblings sought to that. But most, Marcellus, Giovanni, and those back still in that abandoned lab, knew his power. If she was aware he might have expected her to react the way Emiri does around him. Almost fear, and intimidation. But even still, she regarded him as a strong psychic type and she was worried. He had to swallow his ego, as well as he didn't think commenting on it further would do any actual good. "Well, I do appreciate the concern." He replied again calmly, this time without the added statement to defect the appreciation for it. That was something that most didn't do, Liz always saw him as a being. Not just for his Powers. While Emiri also did the same, she feared him. And Marcellus saw him as both. She saw him for him which was comforting but also confusing for the Psychic. XXXXXSuddenly, Liz made an exclamation, and then broke the embrace, causing a sigh of relief to come from the smoochum. "Excuse me?" Marcellus asked, taking a moment to process what she had exclaimed. She had feared the Krookodile was actually alive. Marcellus gave her a look of surprise almost, as he leaned over to look again. Too Liz's defense the beast hadn't exactly moved. "Oh, she should be fine. Krookodile are a very sturdy species." Marcellus told her. "I can vouch." He commented, which was true, she had definitely held her own against the Psychic. Marcellus hadn't thought anything of it, and had taken to looking himself over. He always enjoyed appearing as perfect as possible, and wearing stark white or light colors. But that definitely did not work in his favor. Seeing his white outfit was now off white and torn due to the adventures in the caves. He tried to dust the dirt off of him, but failed, as he spoke. "She might wake up with a well deserved headache, but she should wake up just as well." He explained his thoughts. Marcellus had no intention on going down towards the beast. If anything he wanted Cronus to just teleport them to the next city. But Liz asked Cronus a question that made both stop and quickly look to her. "I don't think that would be a good idea, we just got away from her." Marcellus explained cautiously, as if he were expecting her to be joking. "She's still alive. I don't want to be anywhere around her when she wakes up." Cronus told Liz. Neither of which wanted to be down in the valley or canyon where she had fallen when she woke up. Marcellus couldn't see who the trainers were, granted he didn't look very hard. But he had seen three of the four Pokemon that had been battling since they got out. Gyarados, Tyrantrum, and Typhlosian. Marcellus was confident the trainers could battle her safely if she woke.(I tried to thing for 2 days for a reason why Cronus would want to be down with the Krookodile or actively move towards Julian and I couldn't figure it out... Elizabeth Morgan The redhead was relieved to see her boys were in good shape and that she didn't need to worry about them even if something did throw them off. However the reassurance that she was making a mistake wanting to check on Krookodile soured that good feeling quickly. She scowled at Cronus first, then Marcellus. They were completely right in their assessment but she still felt they were being too callous. "Fine! If you won't help me, I'll get to her on my own!" Snapped the young woman, running to the nearest decline in the path and hastily picking her way down the mountainside. She could hardly call her current path viable but she cared not for her own well being. Because that made perfect sense somewhere in her head. She skidded on loose rocks and tripped over outcroppings she wasn't paying attention to but Liz was well on her way to getting to the bottom. She managed to reach the bottom after Typhlosion's first Earthquake, tripping and sliding her way down painfully if Cronus hadn't decided to spare the completely irrational female a rough sledding experience on her butt. Liz ran up to check on the unconscious Krookodile, dabbing a sc as she chanced a glance at the trainer battle going on in front of her. Neither seemed to care Krookodile was there, but they had moved just enough to not include her in their fighting at least. Tyrantrum was a terrifying sight to behold. She knew too little about Fossil Pokemon and the presence of the mighty creature made her hands shake as she was trying to help Krookodile recover just a little faster. She might have been frightened out of her wits but the other trainer's Typhlosion--while scary in its own right--was definitely a comforting sight. Cherry was going to grow up to be one of those. And it looked just like...
"JULIAN!?" How long had they been under that mountain? Liz set to work treating Krookodile that much faster and left a handful of Berries on the ground in front of her snout. "Julian! It is you! You came back! How did you--EEK!" The redhead stupidly tried to run right up to Typhlosion when he was struck down by Tyrantrum for the last time. She cried out in shock at the impact and shrank back quickly. Tyrantrum defeated Typhlosion completely and now Liz was feeling distinctly like she had caused Typhlosion to fail. Not that she had been doing much to affect the battle until just now. If anything, she could have caused Tyrantrum more trouble if its trainer cared at all about hurting passersby. Typhlosion was down and Liz grew anxious again. That unpleasant reminder that battling was not something she was a huge fan of. If Typhlosion could lose, what chance did her Pokemon have? Especially with such an incompetent trainer? Liz stumbled back toward Krookodile, crouching down and hugging her knees to her chest next to the crocodile as she waited to be given a better choice than cowering beside something that wanted to eat her. Still better than those dragons...((Because he doesn't want to see his new favorite girl go "squish" I hope? It would seem that Liz didn't like their standpoint on the beast being okay, or dismissing it. Liz looked visibly upset as she snapped at him, explaining she'll take care of it herself. This action made no sense to Marcellus. The matriarch was trying to seek revenge against them for harming her family, and now they threw her from a cliff. He knew good and well she would wake up swinging if Liz revived her. The redhead moved over to a less steep incline and began down. The male watched in almost disbelief as his mouth slowly began to slip open. She really was going to try and climb down which Josette to save the beast trying to kill them. "Wait-um-Liz- I don't-" Josette scrambled to speak unsure about how she was going to get back to safely. She looked back to Marcellus, looking him in the eyes as if she were a princess in distress and being kidnapped. The white haired male watched for a second before turning to Cronus to go down and help her to actual safety or move them. "I've already made my stance. Natural selection maybe taking it's course." Cronus spoke almost curiously as if he were watching a study now and no longer angry. Marcellus's teeth clenched back together as he let out a hard angry breath. "Cronus" He hissed, before turning his back on the psychic and began towards the path Liz took. Rather then sliding down sitting he tried to stand and slowly inch down the steep slope. With great struggle. "Elizabeth!" Marcellus called out to her as he tried to keep up with her, and failing to do so. "She's feral, she won't be thankful!" He tried to reason, as he continued to slip and scramble to keep up. Behind him, still up on the lofty ledge, he watched the two humans inched closer and closer into danger, with a look of curiosity and surprise. "Possibly it actually is..." He said to himself, but then with an exasperated sigh, he knew he needed to help. Being out in the open air, he began to feel much better. He levitated downwards and steadied Marcellus psychically, and then helped Liz move down the rocky slope easier. He wanted to let her live with her choices and take the earthquake as punishment, but if either got injured, he'd only have to deal with them further. So he opted to take natural selection, that he believed, into his own hands. XXXXXMarcellus took a quick moment to ready himself back upright, as Liz immediately went for the beast. Marcellus also noticed that the trainers didn't really seem to notice the beast, but it seemed to be a fairly heated battle, quite literally, so it was understandable that they were distracted. Liz had to have let Josette down as she was tending to the beast and looking her over, to which the Princess scurried away from her. The last time she was near one of these crocodiles, she ended up in his jaws. She wasn't going to let that happen again. Marcellus moved as close as he dared. "She appears to be alright, Maybe we can send Nurse Joy this way, but I don't think we shou-" He spoke gingerly and calmly, trying not to upset Liz any further, or wake the matriarch. But before he could finish, Liz exclaimed a name he didn't expect to hear. "-What?" He questioned tearing his eyes form the beast that she was tending to, and towards the red head. He almost thought that she had hit her head. But she promptly left berries and began towards one of the trainers battling. In true fashion it was Julian. His mouth fell open once more in surprise, but quickly shifted to a smile. Marcellus went to take a step forward, but swiftly redirected himself around towards Cronus. He kept his expression, but silently pointed to the Crocodile and then back towards the mountain. Cronus wasn't going to protest that idea, as he used a barrier to lift her without moving her position, and her berries upwards and back through the entry to the cave. As this happened, Marcellus began back around to see Liz had taken it upon herself to go straight into the battle field, at least where Julian was standing. It made sense why he hadn't noticed, He couldn't hear the beast land. The Tyrantrum struck down Julian's Typhosion which seemed to have been quite the feat. He had never seen the fossil in person, only having read about them. It was quite an intimidating sight. While Marcellus knew it was a dragon type, he didn't really look at it as one. It didn't have the abilities or the idles of a Dragonite, all things he feared. This was just intimidation in it's sheer size. Liz didn't seem to take the blow of Julian's well as she sat down and hugged her knees. Marcellus found that this was a fairly nice distance so he moved to sit with her. He didn't think of any words he could say to her to calm her down, so he let his company be there for her, if she choose to keep it, until Julian had finished the battle.(Perfect! I'm not trying to step on Julian, just get Marcellus down there. I don't think he's worried about losing her at this point, more so he still just doesn't like Julian XD Marcellus can hold a grudge for a veeery long time. I removed the Krookodile from the field so she can't pop up at attack the three of them again, but I can quickly take it back out if you were wanting to go with it.) | Pokemon appearance 141/7 |

Don't you cry no more Julian had evidently overlooked Liz's mostly freefall down the mountain, chalking it up to the effect of the avalanche. At a glance to the unconscious crocodile, however, he could not fail to realize who was there. What a coincidence, apparently they had spotted him and hurried over! Surely that was the explanation, they couldn't have fallen from a mountain. When Julian returned Typhlosion, the other Trainer made it clear he was keeping his Tyrantrum out in the battle. Julian grimaced, hating the giant rex with every bit of his being. He tossed a Pokeball up into the air a couple of times, letting it fall back into his open palm before aiming it and releasing Arcanine.
The big fuzzy space heater spotted Liz and wanted to run over at once, but knew this battle must take precedence. He still made happy noises to greet her. At this point, Marcellus was catching up to her. He found he was glad to see him, even if they both looked a bit disheveled. Tyrantrum wasn't going to let this drag out any longer. Dragging one heavy foot along the ground, it kicked up dust and charged with it's head lowered. Arcanine raced forward as well, practically a blur until flames began to erupt all around him. They collided with such impact that the ground shook beneath their feet. When everything settled at last, both Pokemon lay on the ground without moving. Round 1 Tyrantrum used Head Smash (-300, 220/520) Tyrantrum is hurt by recoil (-150, 350/1000) Arcanine used Close Combat (-240, 110/1000) Round 2 Tyrantrum used Head Smash (-300, 0/520) Tyrantrum is hurt by recoil (-150, 0/1000) Arcanine has fainted! Elizabeth Morgan Liz was shaken by the loss of Typhlosion against Tyrantrum and the way she tried to curl in on herself without getting off her feet proved that. She only smiled in thanks to Marcellus coming to comfort her and she hardly noticed Krookodile move away. The Mewtwo's power once more solving problems he didn't have any reason to solve on her behalf. He needed a treat after she got her wits back. He had helped her finish the trek down and he helped her give Krookodile the best chance. Near the end of the battle, Krookodile came to and decided not to pursue her invaders further. She scooped up the Berries and wandered away into the cave. Liz watched with expectations for Arcanine. She cheered meekly and waved at the excited giant puppy. He needed pets when the battle was over. She was owing a lot of Pokemon affection and treats when this was over. After the nerves lessened and allowed Liz to settle down in a seated position, she let out a slow breath and smiled. She reached over to smooth Josette's hair if the Smoochum hadn't already cleaned herself up. "That's hardly lady-like. I'm sorry, sweetie." Liz remarked, doing her best to make sure the Psychic Pokemon got settled and comfortable where she sat while Liz set to work on cleaning her up. Some of the mess was the redhead's fault after all. She couldn't help but flinch as Arcanine took a pounding from Tyrantrum and his Head Smash, leaving both Pokemon badly injured. She winced again when both of them knocked each other out in what felt like the longest instant Liz had seen before. Zekrom had been terrifying, but she had still felt the passage of time. Arcanine colliding with Tyrantrum made her heart skip. The two Pokemon rammed one another and there was a brief moment of eternity passing before they knocked each other into the dirt and stopped moving altogether. Liz was upset and her attention on Josette waned with her increasing focus on the battle. "Arcanine! Come on! Get up!" She shouted, forgetting herself once again as she tried to rally Julian's Pokemon when he was busy battling another trainer. Liz needed to butt out and let the young man handle his business. She had to understand that sometimes you had to give a Pokemon up to win a fight. Even if that meant letting someone get hurt that didn't necessarily have to fall to win the fight. "Go! Julian! You can do this!" She shouted suddenly, reminding herself that she had a job to get back to. Don't you cry no more Another Dragon was obviously coming next (sorry Marcellus I forgot when I made this battle that you dislike them. I figured it'd be good to get some experience slaying them in as he still has to get past a Dragon-Type Gym Leader). However, this one was, by appearances, the furthest thing from a dragon. It looked more like a tree, with it's neck stretching high, high over Julian and his allies. "Like it? Imported straight from Alola!" Of course Julian could not hear this, but I had to specify what he said now that there are people here who can... you know, hear.
Julian was growing tired of this battle. He'd just lost two of his strongest to a single Pokemon, and most of his remaining were injured. He couldn't use Persian again, it just wasn't an option and Noctowl had already been in two fights. Nightrial was down for the count, so that left-. He pulled out the Pokeball containing the legendary dragon Zekrom. Every time before now, the dragon had reacted violently and unpredictably in fights, but the last time they had seemed to come to the same terms. They didn't need another avalanche burying them again.
He set his jaw. They would just have to hope for the best. He sent out the legendary Zekrom, whose roar seemed to shake the ground and filled their ears with a ringing. "Blimey, is tha..." Was all the guy had time to shout before Execcutor lobbed a handful of small eggs around Zekrom's feet. The legendary stared down at them, but ignored them and started forward. When he stepped on one, it detonated beneath his foot and sent him crashing back into more explosions. Exeggutor seemed to be laughing while also scattering more eggs around Zekrom's feet.
Julian had never seen Zekrom being worked over like this, it was sort of... terrifying. He tried to imagine putting one of his regular Pokemon against this towering tree, and didn't want to imagine the pain they would go through... but Zekrom was tough. He pulled himself together and shot into the air, held up by it's wings. Obviously this seemed a clever little plan to avoid those eggs. It even worked for a while. Zekrom shot in close, using a glowing Dragon Claw attack to swipe three or four times across Exeggutor's neck and head.
With his eyes on the head, Julian believed the enemy Pokemon was retreating a few steps. That was not the case. In fact it was winding it's head back to fling it forward and basically headbutt Zekrom out of the sky and right back into the explosive eggs, which blew up beneath his back as he landed. Zekrom roared in pain and anger as Exeggutor sent more eggs around him. What happened next was something that plainly shocked and intimidated Julian. Zekrom shot at Exeggutor like a blur, blasting not around but into the flying eggs and used a flurry of slashes which there was no hope at all of counting.
By the time Zekrom stopped and backed away the Exeggutor swayed on the spot for at least ten seconds before toppling and vanishing right before hitting the waiting Liz and Marcellus. "'Ow the bloody 'ell did you get yer 'ands on a dragon like tha?" He asked, to which Julian did not bother replying. In fact he hadn't read this sentence on the guy's lips so he had absolutely no idea what he had said. Now, at last, he could walk over to his friends. He'd mentioned it before, but huge battles like that seem to wear out the trainer quite as much as the Pokemon, and he was exhausted. He hugged Liz, shook Marcellus' hand, and tried to convey his intentions for a truce within his smile and nod. Zekrom simply stood nearby, being marveled at by the powerful Dragon-Type Trainer. ((No need to worry. I wrote up this entire battle a week ago. Spoiler: I win.)) TL;DR

He wasn't entirely sure where her emotions were coming from, after everything that had happened before. He didn't realized it was from a confidence issue after seeing the strong trainer at battle, but he more assumed it was from shock of the events they had just faced, as well as seeing the large Pokemon at battle. He himself had read about the fossil, but even with his knowledge of the large Pokemon it seemed intimidating, but had he been completely unawares maybe he would have been a bit more upset like he thought Liz was. But she seemed to cheer up, if only a little as she gave him a smile. He hadn't really noticed the beast get up and decide to cut her losses and leave with the allotted food Liz left for her. However Cronus watched her like a hawk, ready to send her sailing if he needed. But Luckily he didn't. Josette moved closer, now that the beast was gone, and trotted towards Marcellus, and stood in front of him, as Liz began to speak to her. She looked to the red head, and her dark lips pursed as Liz tried to smooth out her hair. "I know... It's upsetting... And look-" She agreed, and the began on as she turned around and pointed to her dress. "They tore my dress to. I hope Marcellus can mend it." She pouted sadly, patting her dress, revealing the tear in one of her many layers of skirt. Of course, her dress was covered in dirt and rubble, but that was no problem. Marcellus had fixed her dress before, since it seemed to be a part of her like a Jynx's was. Not too long after, the heat of the battle intensified as it pulled Marcellus's and Josette's attention as well. It was a sight to be seen, Julian's Arcanine battling a Tyrantrum. He glanced to Liz as she began to cheer for Julian. He watched the battle, but didn't exactly feel the need to cheer. Marcellus had never gotten to positively interact with Julian's Pokemon, not really much at all to begin with. But Marcellus couldn't really see the reason why he'd shout for Julian, unless Julian was looking directly at him he wouldn't really had known. So he stayed quiet and happily watched, as Liz cheered. It was a very nice gesture regardless, so he was sure it was nice to have a cheerleader regardless. XXXXXThe next Pokemon caught him fairly off guard. An Alolan Exeggutor. This forced him to look upwards to see the faces of the tall tree. Marcellus always found these things a bit bizarre, specially his own. But seeing their height wasn't what was strange to him, it made a lot of sense actually. But the fact that their height did something to their species making it a dragon type. He, of course, didn't like or appreciate the news. Nor would he ever want to train those of those. But he couldn't bring himself to fear the tree. Just look down upon it. metaphorically. But the next Pokemon was another story. Julian had unleashed his Legendary. It's bellowing roar jolted Marcellus onto his feet, quickly looking to Cronus who had moved forward and towards his side. The Psychic didn't return the look, and just watched the battle take place. Marcellus watched stiffly as the battle continued. It was quick, but repetitive, on both parts. However, the strength of which seemed to rise. Marcellus didn't move when the tree began to topple in his direction, still standing next to Cronus, he knew the psychic wouldn't let the strange tree his both Liz or himself. But Josette did duck her head down for cover. The trainer was floored by Zekrom, which was fair. But Julian remained silent to the questions, and turned away from the male remaining silent. Which seemed to be a habit of Julian's Marcellus noticed. He moved towards them, giving Liz a hug. Soon after he turned to Marcellus and offered a hand. To which Marcellus accepted, just as he had did the same when Julian left Mahogany Town. However, his eyes continued to glance towards Zekrom who silently just stood in the foreground. Marcellus had hoped Julian would have returned the legendary so he no longer had to be around the dragon, but he didn't seem to. Marcellus put a smile on his face for Julian, but would still glance in the legendary's direction, as if expecting it to attack at any moment. "That was quite the show." Marcellus spot, looking to Julian as he spoke, to see where the teen's eye's were looking. "How was your battle with Claire?" Marcellus asked. Elizabeth Morgan Liz quickly was distracted from poor Josette by a mighty battle of Dragons. First she marveled at Exeggutor and its mighty size. She was bending back far enough she was about to fall over when Zekrom appeared. The overwhelming pressure of the Legendary caused Liz to finish her tilt and fall on her bottom again. She stared up at the dragon with her skin tingling and her mind running blank again. The redhead watched in awe as the Dragon battled with the gigantic palm tree she did not know was a Dragon as well. The way Exeggutor held his own and even caused Zekrom harm was even more frightening than the Dragon itself. She had to admit she was, for once, relieved to see Zekrom's awesome power brought to bear against the creature that was causing it pain. When Exeggutor finally went down she couldn't help but laugh in shock. It was huge! And even as the towering tree came down their way, Liz was too fascinated by the Grass/Dragon's form to recognize she was about to get smashed. Luckily its trainer was not the kind to allow for collateral damage. She had managed to get back to her feet by the time Julian made his way over to them and hugged the young man back tightly when he embraced her. "Julian!" Cried the redhead, about to babble on about her adventure in the caves before realizing she needed his eyes before she could word vomit all over him. She managed to restrain herself enough to allow the boys to interact with one another amiably, which only made her more excited to see her friend. While they hadn't left on a sour note, Liz had been concerned that Julian and Marcellus might still struggle to interact with one another. They seemed to argue a lot the first time around. When her boys were finished greeting one another Marcellus easily distracted the young woman by bringing up Claire. "Oh? That's right! How did everything go?" With Marcellus reminding Liz of the Pokemon League she couldn't help but want to hear Julian's story first. Sure fighting Krookodile had been exciting, but Claire was the strongest trainer in Johto! Quite frankly, Marcellus was happy to see anyone now that they were out of that death trap of a mountain. He didn't particularly like Julian, especially not the Pokemon looming behind him, but the teen was definitely much better then all of the horrors Marcellus had experienced in that mountain. Marcellus wasn't sure if the place was curse or it was just a place he should keep out of, but in comparison Julian was a ray of sunshine. He seemed to be in a good mood, which was a sigh of relief. Which the white haired trainer was sure that mean he had a good time facing off against Claire. He knew she was a fierce competitor, she made sure everyone knew it. But Marcellus had zero respect for the 'Dragon Master.' Anyone that adored such beasts... He found vile. Much like the quiet trainer that seemed to be ogling over the legendary he had with him. While his own heart rate remained high, he found a disdain for the legendary as well as the male gushing over it. He trained to turn his attention back to Julian to get the final story of what happened with Claire. He glanced to Liz, who was eagerly listening, as well as he was. After a moment, there was silence. Marcellus knew Julian couldn't exactly speak, but he was expecting something. After another moment of silence, Marcellus and Josette turned back to look at the powerful psychic. Cronus was still levitating just off of the ground, but had his eyebrow raised at both Julian and Marcellus. "My memory doesn't fade, Julian. For someone who 'doesn't expect my help' you sure do expect my help quite a bit." Cronus commented calmly. "Yours seemed to fade quickly, so I'll remind you. Communication seems to be a luxury you don't appreciate, and take for granted. Until then, you will just have to fend for yourself." Cronus continued to speak, calmly as if they were having a normal conversation. Josette's wide eyes looked to Marcellus to see his reaction. Marcellus's eyes were wide as well. However, it was full of communication. Marcellus was sending a wave of thoughts at Cronus, but the psychic seemed unbothered. Marcellus didn't exactly like Julian, but he was genuinely curious on how the male did against the gym leader. Not only that, he was going to keep the mood light while he good. Well. I suppose we'll just need a friendlier medium of communication then. Cronus doesn't need to help if he doesn't feel appreciated. Marcellus commented back. The male was clearly unhappy with the circumstances, but he was keeping his tone level and calm like Cronus.Marcellus brought a pale finger to his lip as he thought through his options. He had many psychics he could use, but how many could he trust to actually relay messages. He couldn't trust his espeon to pass along information, she was too much of a wild card to trust. She might even rephrase the answer, so he thought about Prue, Grace, and Mercy. His very aged and senile Exeggutor. That option was whipped from his mind rather quickly. They never stopped arguing with each other to actually get a full sentence out. That left Inanna, his Starmie. She usually was a good sport. He reached into his bag and pulled out another Pokeball, and let out the starmie. "Would you mind relaying Julian's messages psychically for Elizabeth and I? He asked the Starmie. "Ummmmm" A female voice hummed out as the starfish slowly turned towards Cronus. She had no real expression on her, but her tone was clear that she was confused and uneasy at the fact that Cronus wasn't relaying the message. She didn't want to step on his toes definitely, but he seemed calm enough. "If you don't mind being a messenger pidgey, go for it." Cronus told her. He didn't care if someone else was doing it, but if Julian was going to continue to berate his skills and intellect, then he could go else where for help. He gave the Starmie the message that Julian had already spoke, and let her deal with it. XXXXXThe Starmie turned back to face the trainers as her crimson gem glimmered a bit. There was a pause as the starmie seemed to stand stationary as she thought. "Sure, it could be fun. Just don't shoot the messenger!" She proclaimed in an optimistic tone. Marcellus turned back to Julian and Liz. "Alright, This Inanna, she's happy to help and connect us for you Julian." He introduced and explained, hoping Julian was watching. Soon after Julian's voice began to emit from the Starmie. 'Well... The truth is. I realized I wasn't ready for her when her Gym Trainers gave he a hard time.' Julian's mind explained to the group. So he didn't actually battle the so called 'Dragon Master...' Marcellus found that very interesting. What had he done in all the time if he stopped the battle? Marcellus found it almost comical that he hadn't brought back the eighth badge, but he nodded to Julian instead of reacting to how he felt. "Well, I know we had a hard time getting our eighth badge, so it's good to know your limits." Marcellus expressed. It wasn't exactly a lie, or false. Maybe realizing he was out of his league at the time was better then biting off more then he could chew. Julian's voice emitted again, purposing they had been getting into trouble. He looked down at his ruined. no longer stark white, attire, and then glanced to Liz. "Mmm..." He hummed, as he held up his rather dented and ruined pot he was still clutching tightly. He wasn't going to throw it away until the legendary was gone. He knew the legendary wouldn't have even felt a blow Marcellus dealt him through the armor, even at full strength. But it was almost like a security blanket. "We might have stumbled on a bit... I'll let you explained if you would like." He spoke, turning to Liz, knowing she could probably explain better then he could, faster and more animated. Elizabeth Morgan The redhead grew quiet after a brief moment, staring at Julian's silent form before looking back to Cronus. His scathing speech about not forgetting before made the redhead scowl. Even if she did understand his opinion she felt like he was being unfair. She even expressed this opinion by crossing her arms over her chest and turning away from the Mewtwo with a sharp "Hmph!" He deserved her praise and attention for helping with Krookodile, but he was being a brat right now. Besides, he was definitely smarter than other Pokemon. He could be praised later and understand why. The annoyance melted quickly when a Starmie was released, making Liz beam with excitement. Meeting Marcellus' Pokemon was always a joy! And she knew Starmie! One of Kanto's Gym Leaders had one, she heard! "Oh! You're so pretty! Are you gonna talk to Julian for us?" It was not hard to determine that Liz viewed Pokemon as largely simple creatures--pets even--and had a habitual attitude toward them that could be offensive to smarter ones. Still, she was smiling bright and clearly pleased to see Inanna. Insensitive childish tone or not. Of course Inanna was speaking for Julian, she just said she would. Being so engrossed in the shiny gem of Marcellus' Starmie, Liz almost lost track of the conversation. She had to tear herself away from fussing over Inanna to acknowledge that she'd heard his message. "You didn't battle Claire? I'm sorry..." What she was sorry for she didn't know. It just felt like the right sentiment to have. She somehow felt responsible for it as well. She was going to further express her regret hearing he hadn't beaten his last Gym yet when he asked about the trouble they got into. Liz opened her mouth to answer, then closed it while looking guilty and sheepish. "I...ah...may have taken a wrong turn in the tunnels...?" She answered honestly, skirting around the fact that she and Cronus had dealt with a massive, angry-looking Krookodile. "You know, just...the fun route! They were cute! ...Mostly." Liz winced as she stood up, reminded that she not only had a bite on her leg but had run with that wound and aggravated the tender flesh. "Right boys?" The silly expression was plenty of information that she felt awkward about explaining how she had led them into a Sandile community by accident. Even if she was cross with Cronus right now, she was hoping he would humor the bit of bashfulness. Or just handle the story himself. Unless he was willing to play along it was doubtful the Mewtwo was the least bit amused by Liz's roundabout way of explaining how she got them into trouble all on her own. Maybe, just a tiny bit, the redhead wanted Julian to feel like he had to be there to really know what went on in Mortar. Even so she wasn't sure she could do the ordeal justice if she tried!
Liz looked back and forth between the boys and Inanna, glancing at Cronus after an awkward few moments. "I uh...fell." She lied, for some reason not wanting to admit she was bitten by a Sandile. "Could we, maybe, get to town? I should really get off of this soon." She didn't say anything to Cronus, but it wasn't because she was still mad at him. He made it pretty clear that he didn't like being asked for help after having trouble with someone. Unless he wanted to help she wouldn't bother him. His was the quickest route to the city, by no means were they limited to just teleporting. Which also made Liz realize she had nothing to ride on if she needed it. This made the young woman scowl to herself with frustration. She needed a riding Pokemon. Something to help her along when she couldn't rely on her boys.((So far my favorite part about playing Liz as the bright-eyed newbie with no hard experience is when she encounters Pokemon she recognizes. She is so pleased with herself not having to consult a Pokedex to identify what she sees.)) Don't you cry no more "I've fended for myself my entire life, Cronus. You don't know what I've had to put up with." He snapped. That was okay. The Trainer hadn't expected Cronus to actually be of any use, he was too proud to show any decency or concern to anyone who wasn't himself - at least in Julian's view. In fact, as far as he was concerned, he was more mature than the Pokemon was. Here he had been, trying to make peace and be friends with the others whatever the past may have held, and the Pokemon had just thrown it back in his face. Well that was rubbish attitude. "Oh, Inanna, thank you." He told the star. "It's nice to have a reliable Pokemon around to help when they are needed." He said, giving the Pokemon a nod and smile. Liz was right, it was a rather pretty Pokemon, but he wasn't sure where it was supposed to speak, or whether it could even see them without something easily recognizable as a face. "Yes... let's find a town." Thought Julian to the others, allowing himself to be distracted by Zekrom. They looked at one another, and Julian was forced to the realization that he had not been a Trainer for very long. Sure he had some strong Pokemon, but that was because of all they had been through in such a short amount of time. In fact Typhlosion had been forced to mature much faster than any of the others in Darkrai's Tower. Still, for all his ability, he had paled in the face of Claire. What right did he have to contain such a force as Zekrom? This did give him a bit of a new perspective for Cronus, though. He returned the Legendary and they set out. As the trio traveled together again, Julian was more quiet than usual. He let Liz and Marcellus talk, and tell him about what had happened while he'd gone out, before finally settling on the truth. "Well, I did some training with a new team. Liz, you met them when we first met... Pidgeot flew us around, and we actually faced a few Gym Leaders in another Region. It all went very quickly." He admitted, realizing that he'd battled four in what amounted to a couple days. "The truth is, I have rather severe anxiety." He went on, not really sure if either of them cared. "Because of my 'disability', I have so much more to prove than everyone else, and the more difficult these battles become the less confident I am. I had a panic attack before I even saw her." He wasn't looking for sympathy, but was simply giving an explanation. Now was the time for honesty, because he realized he actually valued these two as allies and friends more than he could have anticipated. "So I went to weaker Gyms - even if I did have weaker Pokemon, it was easier because I'd already battled Gyms of their strength and level." It seemed his response was fairly not well received, But he wasn't all that upset about it. He knew Julian wouldn't like it, however Liz and Marcellus seemed not to appreciate it either. Marcellus had a different reason then she did, but the Psychic was unphased by the turn of events. Marcellus turned his back towards the Legendary, as Inanna took control of relaying his comments, as if his voice was emitting from her as if she were speaking for him in his own voice. Inanna's focus was immediately pulled to Liz at her compliment. The large starfish turned a bit so her gem was facing more towards Liz as her voice rang out again. "Oh, thank you! Of course I will! I definitely like you." Inanna admitted in a bold tone, her gem seeming to glimmer a bit more. However, she turned back so she was facing more of the group rather then just Liz as Julian's voice rang out again, his voice was responding to Cronus about fending for himself and not know what he put up with, as well as calling her a reliable Pokemon, implying Cronus wasn't. Inanna's gem immediately stopped gleaming. "Oh no no no, You're not gonna get me in trouble here." She began, two of her arms waving back and forth as she did so. "Thank you for the compliment too, I am reliable, but everyone just needs to cool it and be the cool friends we are, or I'm out too. I'm not going to get caught in this cross fire, No sir." She explained her gem flashing within itself as she spoke before it began to gleam once again. Inanna liked to think she was fun, and she was happy to help anyone she liked really. But she wasn't going to be the once standing in the way of Cronus and Julian if they start arguing. "But if you stay the cool, awesome, people you are. I'll do it." She spoke again, her tone wasn't angry or stern by any means, but she was speaking honestly. She didn't want to upset Julian or Marcellus, but she really didn't want to let Cronus stay mad. Despite this, and Julian's words, Cronus acted as if he couldn't hear Julian, perhaps he blocked the psychic waves all together. Every way he remained quiet as he appeared calm as before. Marcellus was happy at her attempt of defusing the situation, as in her full honesty Julian's voice began out again suggesting to go find a town. Marcellus knew the next town was suppose to be Ecruteak City, and with a glance back, Cronus nodded in the direction they needed to walk. He began to lead them in the direction of the City. Luckily for them they were spat back out on another side of the mountain, a bit closer towards Ecruteak. XXXXXAs they had begun to walk, Liz explained the story of what happened in the Mountain. With Zekrom returned, and the pining trainer gone, Marcellus relaxed a bit more as he listened. There seemed to be quite a disconnect from what happened and what Liz was saying. He frowned his brows in confusion as he listened to her. She was glossing over the entire attack, labeling it as a few wrong turns. Granted, Marcellus had been the one to initially pick the path way that lead them to the dungeon of Sandile but he wasn't going to correct her there. He was sure that Julian could figure out there was much more to the story, given their injuries, as well as their torn and battered clothes, and his very damaged Pan, however She soon after looked to him quickly with an expression he didn't exactly understand either. Maybe it as just the Gym Leaders themselves rather then battling in general, their battles were in a whole other league. But it was also very interesting to note and keep in mind about the teenager. Marcellus never was the person that felt he had to prove himself, Aside from proving his strength to his deceased father, and seeking revenge. He was always sure he would accomplish what he needed. While his struggle with Juan made him realize he wasn't ready to take on the best in the world, he was still a very confident battler. He did believe Julian had nothing to prove. "You have Seven Badges, and have Zekrom, the Legendary of Ideals, on your side. You've already proved yourself to be a successful trainer." Marcellus finished, looking to Liz to see if she agreed and then back to Julian. Inanna relaying both Liz and Marcellus's statements. Marcellus still couldn't care less about Julian, It would take a bit to get back in his graces. But he knew he at least had to pretend they were friends. To do so, he stuck to facts about Julian. He hadn't lied, it does take a successful trainer to reach 7 consecutive badges. It wasn't easy by any means. Marcellus's anxiety had always come from a different place then Julian's so he wasn't sure if his words would do anything, but at least he was trying. Elfana Aroway Mt. Mortar was an eyesore if she ever saw one. Elfana was getting sick of caves and mountains. Wasn't it bad enough that she had to deal with them in Sinnoh? Navigating the maze of caves to the other side went about as well as one could expect from someone who had no idea where she was going and was far too stubborn to ask for help. Walter's attempts to offer to Teleport them on through were shut down in record time. She would find her way through! He wasn't so sure but he didn't argue. So long as she didn't fall through the cave floor again letting her try to figure it out on her own wasn't hurting anything. The sun had risen by the time they finally found their way back outside. Judging by its position, it was close to noon. Walter decided it best not to comment. Elfana looked plenty annoyed with herself without him saying anything to make it worse.
