"Go, Aipom!" The monkey was right back at home among the trees and wasted no time climbing the very same tree Slakoth was hanging in. It stared, not even bothering to move until Aipom began storing Power. Even while gathering that energy, Aipom was curious about the complete stillness of the Slakoth and inched closer until some force hit him from behind, nearly knocking Aipom out of the tree. Being so nimble the monkey caught onto the branch with it's tail and swung back up to release the full Solar Beam attack into Slackoth. That was enough, and Katie went through two Pokeballs before being able to catch the sleeping sloth. TL;DR

Only this one was slightly different... she wasn't sure what it was exactly, but it was prettier. She almost hated to have Munchlax Metronome the thing out of their area, but the baby was getting good at working them over and it was good experience with little to no danger. She couldn't deny him the opportunity to train and grow big and strong like the rest of her team. It was what she wanted. TL;DR

Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ Munchlax was on a role, but apparently the fact that someone was running through the forest and attacking members of the Wurmple evolutionary family. They weren't going to take that lying down. Following the adventures of A Brave Little Wurmple, it wiggled across the ground and tackled Munchlax from behind. They hadn't noticed it approaching, but Munchlax got back up and used it's now-familiar Metronome to blast it away. Well, isn't he just a powerful little guy! She thought proudly. TL;DR

Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ Next on the list of 'got messed up by Katie's Pokemon', a Shroomish! Yet another Shroomish, that is. She had come across three in the forest so far. Even though there were far more Cascoon, this was still just too many of the little plants. Katie picked up Munchlax before it could enter the fight and instead sent out Buizel to use Blizzard. Shroomish did not even get in a single hit before being shown up and defeated. She quickly returned Buizel because something else happened to catch her eye.TL;DR

Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ There, in the underbrush, was a Zigzagoon. That would be perfect! It seemed fitting to the blonde that this mission would complete with the help of another of these raccoons when her first mission began with one. She walked towards him. "Hey there, little guy. Would you like to help me out?" She asked with honeyed voice. It looked up in surprise from a half-eaten berry, crouching low and pulling it's meal closer to it's body. "I don't want your food. In fact..." She pulled her bag down and started leafing through it. She finally seemed to find what she was after. Pulling out some of her salvaged Pokemon food from the last Pokemon Center, she knelt down just far enough not to scare it off. "...here."
She knew her Grovyle would have warned her to be careful around wild and hungry Pokemon. She didn't have the time to be careful, though. That elderly lady was depending on her help. The small animal did not take it from her hand, so she set the food on the ground at the edge of her reach and backed up a bit. Zigzagoon took a tentative step forward, sniffing the food. It smelled partly appetizing, and partly like a Human. It made a decision and snatched it up, retreating to it's former place to eat in safety. "There you go." She said, smiling brightly. "That's better, isn't it?" The Pokemon seemed to be more agreeable with a full belly, and walked right up to her.
"I'd like to catch you." When it stopped mid-step, looking wary, she backpedaled. "Oh, just temporarily." She held out the stylus, which it sniffed curiously. Taking aim, she fired the device before it could react. It didn't fight back, having been lulled into a sense of security. A moment later, it was captured. Then it was more than willing - it was friendly! Now that they were on the same page, they could get down to business. "Right, would you please show me where you found that berry you were eating?" Zigzagoon hopped twice in a backwards direction, spinning on the spot before darting into the bushes. It was visibly excited to be helping now. She grabbed up her bag and raced after it, hoping she hadn't already lost the speedy little Pokemon in the growth of the Wood.

Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ Katie had to jog to keep up with the small Pokemon. She would occasionally see a bushy tail vanishing into the foliage, or hear the Zigzagoon scurry over fallen branches and leaves. "Not so fast." She whispered, and a fuzzy face appeared from the wall of plants. It was such a comedic appearance that she couldn't help smiling. Moments later they were off again. Worried that she was going to lose the Pokemon, she sent out Grovyle to help her. Unlike herself, Scout was very much at home in the woods. He was able to jump from the ground to the tree branches above. From there, he leaped from branch to branch keeping an eye on the Zigzagoon below. It was easier to keep sight of the Pokemon above than the Pokemon below.
Even if they did find more of the same berries it had been eating, she wanted to find a few different varieties. The lady was relying on her help, and with multiple types of berry she would be much better off. She hoped that Zigzagoon would know where others could be found. For the meantime she would follow the two Pokemon into the unknown. There were very few dangers in these woods her team could not deal with - though if she only knew how close she had come to real danger, perhaps she would already be three cities over boarding an uncharted boat to some deserted island. Jasper and his two faithful morons were now in Hoenn, and she would just have to pray that they would never meet one another.

Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ When the two Pokemon stopped, and Katie finally managed to catch up to them, she was looking over a berry tree full of small fruits. "Oh wow! Good job, Zigzagoon." She moved forward and started picking a handful of the berries. Then she remembered that she only needed one to plant a new tree. So, she tried one of them. Turns out, they were really sweet and tasted wonderful! She finished all of the berries she'd already picked, and then plucked another to carry back. Then an idea hit her. Why should she be the only one to enjoy them?
She let out the rest of her Pokemon so that they could have some as well. Encouraged by this, Scout dropped from the tree above and landed in a crouch. Then, just like all her other Pokemon, settled down for lunch. She quickly realized that the small Munchlax was consuming much, much more than the others and had to return him before he could eat the tree clean. She did want the wild creatures of these Woods to be able to eat from the tree too. Meanwhile Aipom, Emolga, Rowlet, and Swablu were flying up to the taller branches of the tree and bringing down food for the other Pokemon who could not reach them, and were not as capable of climbing or able to fly.
Before long everyone was full. Katie didn't bother to return her Pokemon, and instead let them stay out and walk around with her. Buizel and Aron were slower than the others, so they lagged behind a bit and moved at their own pace. Aipom and the birds were flying around overhead. Scout and Aipom jumped from the trees, trying to out-perform the other in aerial acrobatics. All the while, Zigzagoon lead the way. She had asked the little Pokemon if it knew any other places to get berries - different kinds than the ones they had just eaten. It energetically took up the charge at once. Backpack

Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ "How long have we been in this forest?" Aron asked, looking around. "It feels like we've been in here for days." In truth they had been walking around for less than an hour. Of course they were far enough from Katie that they could speak freely... not that she understood what they said in the first place, but still. Aron had short legs, and in all honesty was rather lazy. Aggron were known for the opposite - a ruthless aggression that would carry them to the ends of the Earth but he'd never understood all that.
Buizel also had shorter legs, though she had nothing on Aron. "I don't think it's been very long." She said, looking up in hopes of seeing what the sky looked like beyond the trees. They were too thick and close together to give anything away. Still, she was starting to get tired as well. Aron simply huffed his disbelief and kept moving. Just how long would they be forced to hike around like wilderness explorers?
Katie looked back, realizing that the two had fallen further behind than she thought. This just wouldn't do. She wanted them to have some free time outside of their Pokeballs, but they were in a bit of a hurry too. She hoped to find her way back to the woman's cabin by nightfall. That wasn't looking like the most likely outcome at this rate. "Here, have some rest." She offered, and fished out their Pokeballs from her bag. She returned them and turned on the spot to race after the others - now she was the one falling behind!Backpack

She panted, stopping to lean against a tree. "I think it's time for a break." How the Zigzagoon could run at top speed like this and also be able to sniff around for berries she had no idea, but she just couldn't keep up and... *YAWN*... she was so tired. It wasn't late, she knew that. They had been running for a while though. That might be able to explain it. Scout and Aipom appeared, closely followed by Zigzagoon. The birds landed, and were soon tucking their heads under their wings. Katie slid down the tree to sit with her back against it, and Scout took up a spot beside her.
She realized something was wrong, but they were on a runaway train that could not be stopped now. Zigzagoon curled up for a nap with Aipom and Emolga, looking more like a trio of cats laying against each other in that moment than anything else. Katie stifled a yawn and tried to keep her eyes open but it was useless. Something in those berries was acting as effectively as a tranquilizer, and they had all eaten multiple berries each. The last waking thought was that she should return her Pokemon, but before she could even move the light of consciousness simply blinked out.

Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ Yawning, Katie blinked a few times and looked around. She couldn't remember going to sleep. She knew she wasn't in the Pokemon Center - her body was stiff from laying against a tree and the sound of nature was all around them. "What happened?" She muttered, rubbing her head. After a few moments, she remembered where they were, and what they were supposed to be doing. "Crap! How long were we asleep?!" She asked, and realized that her Pokemon had still been asleep. Her voice had woken them, and they were all unhappily getting up. Not only had they lost hours at the very least, as she looked around she realized that her bag was missing! "Oh no, oh no oh no oh no..." She groaned and the Pokemon watched her in confusion. "Aron, Buizel, Munchlax... they were all in there!"
She looked all around, hoping that the bag had simply fallen from her as she'd been passing out. It was nowhere to be seen. All of her items and her Pokemon were missing. "Scout?" Grovyle walked over to her. "Look around for any signs of something coming through here. We need a trail to follow." Scout nodded and vanished into the nearby bushes where she could hear him moving around and searching. "Rowlet, Swablu, search from above." They also vanished, leaving her with Emolga, Aipom, and Zigzagoon. "You two..." She looked at the first two. "...search the trees, maybe something's playing with us."
Then there were two. "You know this forest better than any of us. I need you to keep looking for more berries. We need at least two more different kinds. When you find them, bring them back here." Zigzagoon vanished like the others among the midnight forest. Meanwhile, she had to start helping Scout look for clues. Granted she was near-blind, but her eyes would adjust and she had to feel as though she was doing something. She knew that if the Grovyle managed to find anything, he would let her know. She just couldn't stand the thought of losing three members of her team. She had been so foolish, so stupid. Sure, Zigzagoon had been eating the berries too, but why had she been so careless?! Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ It was Aipom who found her bag. Apparently it was hanging in the upper branches of a tree. The problem is, it was also empty. "Well, I think we can safely say it was a Pokemon." She sighs and slings the empty bag over her shoulder. "Alright everyone, we need to spread out and start looking for all the items that were in here. Rowlet and Swablu can check branches, and nests. Emolga, you should look for dens and hallow trees. Aipom, help Scout search the ground."
Then the scavenger hunt was on. One by one, items were brought back to the spot where they'd fallen asleep and deposited for the Pokemon to go back and look for more. Katie was also looking, though she was having much less luck in her search. The others seemed to have better night vision than she had, and she kept walking into a number of obstacles. Eventually she had to admit defeat. She walked back to the 'base' and sat down to clean up the cuts from bushes and thorns.

Thankfully she was prepared for such minor injuries. Among the items her team had already recovered, a small first aid kit could be found. The lid popped open and Katie pulled out a small antibacterial wipe which she ran over each of the stinging cuts along her legs. She had no interest in walking around with a dozen bandages taped to her legs, so she would just have to keep an eye on them and keep them clean... not that that was going to be easy camping out in a forest.
Within the hour her Pokemon had found and brought back every item she'd lost. They were no closer to discovering the culprit of the theft, but at least she hadn't lost anything. She pulled off her shoes and slid into the sleeping bag laying on the ground. Sitting up with her legs under the fabric and the rest of her still out, she turned to Scout and her birds. "I'm going to try sleeping until morning, it's only a few hours. Please keep an eye out. You can rest in your Pokeballs tomorrow." With that the rest of her vanished beneath the camper's cocoon, head and all.
The rest of the night passed without incident. Perhaps whatever had stolen their stuff wasn't about to do so again with so many guards on duty. Katie woke up with the birdsong of Petalburg Woods. More accurately she was forced awake at that point, because it would be near impossible to sleep through that sort of racket. She looked around, blinking sleep out of her eyes, and spotted Scout leaning against a nearby tree. He definitely looked tired, so she looked around for his Pokeball.
"Thank you." She said, and returned him. Then she returned the birds - and Emolga, who had decided to stay awake as well. That left her with Aipom. She was tempted to bring out Buizel to carry around for company since Aipom would have the task of following Zigzagoon's path through the woods, but decided that having her arms full while cutting her own way through the undergrowth would be more painful than beneficial. "Alright, let's move out. Zigzagoon, we need two more types of berries." She hoped against hope that they would be close to each other. Backpack

Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ This morning wasn't as bad as the day before. Zigzagoon was moving slower which allowed her to keep up, and Aipom was able to keep her company on her shoulder. It did help to have him nearby - ever since discovering that Jasper knew the area she was in, she didn't like feeling alone. Which was ironic because if she just allowed herself to get lost and be alone out here in the woods then she would surely be safer... right? She wasn't sure, but the idea had crossed her mind and she'd actually humored it in her mind.
She also made a mental note to put Nidoking back into her party the next time she was in a Town or City. He was big, scary, and dangerously strong. Even though she couldn't control him, he might come in handy one day. For now she would have to deal with what she had and hope for the best. Little did she know that the little mischief-maker was watching her even now as she marched through the woods. If she had known just what was in store then she might have felt better about her prospects of survival. Because one thing she did know - he wanted her dead.
Zigzagoon rounded a giant tree, and when she found him on the other side he was sniffing eagerly at a berry tree. No, this was not just one... there were two growing here side-by-side in the same spot! She had finally done it, she'd found three different types of berries to help the elderly lady get her source of income back. She hurried forward and plucked dozens of each berry - there would only be a need to plant one, but since there were so many it made sense to bring a snack for them all while they worked. Backpack

Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ As the blonde and her Ranger Companion emerged from the fading light of the forest, it was getting pretty late. She really didn't want to do this tonight but the old lady was eager to get the new berries planted as quickly as possible. So she set down the berries as well as her bag on the table and they went to grab some gardening equipment. "I can't thank you enough, Dear. I was so worried that all of my hard work over the years had been destroyed by that terrible storm."
Katie was very gracious about her role in this. "It was my pleasure, and you know I really didn't do too much. Just a few berries, and I am a Ranger after all." She said with a sweet smile. When they got back to the front porch, Katie let out all of her Pokemon to relax in the sunset light only visible in the old woman's cottage clearing. While they were busy playing or relaxing, she donned her gloves then grabbed up the spade and berries. The lady lead her to the fresh soil and showed her where she wanted each berry tree.
She set down the berries and went to work digging three holes in the specified spots. For the most part she was left well enough alone to do this, only having to shoo Munchlax away from her work once before making to grab the trio of berries from the ground. Only... the berries were gone. She looked all around, trying to figure out what might have happened when her eyes suddenly widened and she looked around for Munchlax. He was asleep on the woman's porch, obviously tranquilized by the same berries she'd had that problem with the day before.
She wanted to throw something at him, but her head just fell. This was great, just great. Now she would have to go back out there and spend all night stumbling through the bushes and getting even more cuts all over her already bleeding legs. This was a nightmare. "I'm so sorry, I'll go..." She was cut off when a glowing portal suddenly opened up above her head. She looked up just in time to be buried beneath a mountain of differing berries from all over the world. When she surfaced, clothes and hair stained in berry juices, she stared in shock.
There were berries here from all over the world, some you couldn't even have imported to this Region. The old woman hurriedly and excitedly started picking up the ones she could make the most money on by planting. Zigzagoon panicked and ran off into the woods. Katie knew without looking that the Pokemon had just dismissed itself from her service. "Were you surprised?!" A high voice asked. Katie and the old woman turned to look where the voice had come from, only to see an odd Pokemon floating by the trees. Backpack

Katie Du'Mont♪ My Bartender she's from the islands, her body's been kissed by the sun. Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪
Katie stared, dumb-struck, at the mess around them. She struggled to wrap her head around what had happened. "Surprised? That's one way to put it." She said, climbing out of the berries. Her Pokemon were already enjoying the food. Even Munchlax, who had eaten earlier, was shoveling in more food. Well, that was alright because there was enough food here to feed an army for a couple days at least. She sighed and looked down at her ruined uniform.
She hadn't even faced the horror that was her hair. That horror was creeping up on her slowly and she was trying to ignore it until it was too late - until she couldn't anymore. She touched the top of her head and whinced. It wasn't a good sign. Then taking a sticky strand in her fingers, she pulled it in front of her eyes to see. "It's going to take... forever to wash out." She signed, but Hoopa floated next to her to have a look for itself. She watched cautiously, and Hoopa looked from her hair and then pointed straight up.
When she looked up she saw another giant ring floating overhead. Suddenly a torrent of water came crashing down on top of her. There she was standing with her arms out at her sides, hair plastered wetly to her face, and eyes closed tight. Opening one eye, she saw the Pokemon beaming happily at her. She couldn't tell if he was excited because he honestly thought he had helped her or if he was pleased with the chaotic scene he had caused.
A few minutes later, Katie was sitting on a chair on the woman's porch in her underclothes. The uniform had been wrung out and was drying on the porch railing. She was in the process of explaining that she would have to contact the Ranger School for a new uniform to be delivered. Hoopa had been listening in, and decided to 'help out' by opening another portal and bringing through a bunch of clothes. She stopped mid-sentence and watched this. These clothes were lovely, but they still had the price tags on them. "What... how..." She stammered.

 Nicolai "Servo" DakariTo say that the mysterious disk he had received from the Masharna lit a fire under Nick's ass would have been an understatement - even if used metaphorically. Upon returning to the hotel, the man had wasted no time packing his things and gathering his team for the road. He knew the city that lay ahead of them had certain industrial facilities that would house the type of digital equipment he needed to decode such an encrypted material. Rustboro had several locations capable of housing a computer with enough processing power to handle the task, including the famed Devon corporate headquarters. Of course, Nicolai was only so good with a computer to begin with - not bad, but far from skilled enough for such a task... One glance over his shoulder to the floating digital anomaly that was Quanta reassured him that his own skills were more than made up for by the small Pokemon. So quick was his rush to escape the hotel that Nicolai had neglected several key details before his departure. For one, Flux had maintained its human form, her arms crossed beneath her chest while she walked - a clear pout on her features that, ironically enough, had little to do with the swift departure from comfort. Until a moment prior he also hadn't seemed to notice that Quanta had managed to purge whatever strange disease had been apparently ailing it for the past day and a half. Had he not known he needed the creature, that detail probably would have continued unnoticed for some time. But there was one more pressing thing that the redhead had completely forgotten about - a thing that he hadn't remembered in his haste until they found themselves walking the forest path, more than a few miles from Petalburg city. Stopping abruptly, the man winced, his hand instinctually rising to his stomach as it growled uncontrollably. As both Flux and Quanta paused and took to staring at their trainer, the former rolling her eyes as she was still pouting, He reddened just slightly. "That noticeable, hm?" He asked, prompting a nod from the Porygon and a half sigh from Flux. Of course, he had forgotten to eat. Nick wasn't one to overindulge in anything - Eat to live and live to eat were among his many life lessons. However, Not eating the day they had begun their journey and picking at the remains of canned meat the day before hadn't exactly left him prepared for another day of lengthy travel. Heaving a sigh, Flux ran her fingers through her shoulder-length hair and seemed to debate something fiercely within her own mind. She continued this mental combat even after her trainer and Quanta proceeded ahead of her down the path, eventually shaking herself from her thoughts with a groan that was barely above a whisper. Nicolai's hand clutched his stomach in irritation as he growled again, silently threatening to harm the organ that was crying out for nourishment when an object suddenly began to tap him on the shoulder. He wheeled around just in time to get a light slap in the face by the plastic wrapper of an energy bar, his eyes following the wrapping to the 'human' fingers, arm, and slightly annoyed expression worn by flux. Unlike her trainer, The ditto cared if he died from starvation and kept a much more efficient tab on the normal things that he seemed to neglect whenever he was 'on the hunt'... Which was pretty much all the time. The pair stood there for what seemed like minutes, Quanta looking back and forth between them as if expecting a brawl to take place at any moment. Eventually, Flux grew bored of the standoff and broke into a grin, tapping his cheek again with the bar a few times. It amused her a great deal to watch the act though, for the life of her, she couldn't pin down why. On cue, he snatched the bar from Flux after three taps to the face and turned back on his heel, continuing down the path without another word. She knew he wasn't the type to speak thanks - but letting her have a bit of fun was more than she had expected. Besides, as she watched the red hair ahead of her peel away the wrapping and dig into the small bar, she couldn't help but widen her grin. Sure, he was a clueless idiot about basic things - but he was her basic idiot and she couldn't stay mad at him no matter how dense he was. Nicolai "Servo" DakariContrary to the map's description - Petalburg woods really weren't all that large. Every year, children and trainers of all ages seemed to get lost here - requiring the assistance of rangers from the Hoenn region to track them down and get them out safely. This caused Nicolai to scowl. They had barely walked for a few hours and already he could see some of the vague landmarks that made up the telltale signs of the halfway point between Petalburg and the next city. The more he thought about the fairly regular occurrence, the more he began to pick apart its source. At first, he felt like a hypocrite for mentally scorning the trainer application process since, had it been to his own standards, he would never have been able to blend in and become one himself. Yet, even as they continued to step down the dirt path, his boots occasionally snapping loose branches, the redheaded man couldn't seem to think of anything else. Had he been in charge of such a process, there would have been, at the very least, a course on basic survival processes like hunting, tracking, and pathfinding. There should be no way that a human being gets lost on a journey thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people had taken before them. With a heavy sigh - he realized that his criticisms were the creation of his worst enemy- boredom. The forest was actually quite pretty and the weather was fair. The problem was that he had seen prettier woods, and experienced better weather. Places of nature so far from the beaten path that he had questioned from time to time if any other human had ever set foot in them. Tracking legendary Pokemon tended to lead one to such exotic locations, and once you'd seen them - there was no comparison. Pausing and kneeling near a small stream, the man took to one knee and cupped some of the pristine-looking water, lifting it first to his nose and giving the liquid a sniff before draining it from his makeshift cup. After repeating the process several times and noting that Flux was mimicking his gesture while Quanta simply floated with his face down in the stream itself, he stretched a bit and took yet another look around. This time he wasn't admiring the scenery or attempting to compare it to some of the majestic landscapes he'd been blessed enough to witness, nor was he trying to puzzle over how the mundane managed to get lost in such a location. No, this time he was looking for something a little more specific - something he knew was here since he'd been absently listening to the sounds of nature for some time. His blue eyes scanned the nearby brush, flitting over every rock and tree base while he continued to search. There was only one cure for boredom in Nicolai's world and truth be told? They needed the practice anyway. Squinting at a shape a few hundred feet away he smirked, giving a low whistle that caused Flux to frown deeply. She knew the sound and hated what it meant. Still, even with water still cupped in her hands she began to shift back into her natural form, the liquid spilling out of her now pink and formless tendrils as the fingers she once possessed vanished. It was combat time. Nicolai "Servo" DakariThe 'training' as it was supposed to be, did not go according to plan. This was more of a frustration that what shown on the redheaded man's face. One moment he had been creeping up to the wild Slakoth in the forest, the next - it was gone. He had been certain it was there. The color patterns matched up correctly, and the slow-moving Pokemon couldn't possibly have escaped given their near-silent, and literally silent in Quanta's case - approach. Yet, as Nick and the Porygon lept over a fallen log to catch their prey it seemed to have vanished entirely. For several minutes, the man in black and the digitally rendered Pokemon floating next to him searched the surrounding area. Nick peered through empty tree trunks and behind rocks while Quanta floated along with the trees, examining branches for the fleeing sloth. In the end, they found nothing. All the while, Flux sat inconspicuously by, doing everything she could to look innocent in all of this. Eventually, it was Quanta who noticed the odd demeanor and took to staring at the pink Pokemon who only shrugged its non-existent shoulders. This caused Quanta to narrow his eyes at the ditto. "Based on your current body language I estimate an 84.5871 percent chance that you did something mischievous." He stated accusingly, causing the Ditto to roll her head to one side and shrug again. Flux was going to have to work on her innocent face. She had mastered it in human form but apparently something was giving her away. Sure enough - as Quanta suspected, she did have something to do with the disappearing sloth. The moment Nick had turned to face Quanta and explain they were going to engage the creature, Flux had tossed a small rock in the poor thing's general direction. Truth be told she had probably saved it from a savage thrashing... Quanta was already the strongest Pokemon Flux knew Nick to have - even though she hated to admit it, the little Porygon was an absolute master in the battlefield. As expected even with the rock falling far, far short of reaching it- the Slakoth had perked up to see what the noise was and gotten a full view of Nick and the talking Porygon, immediately becoming startled and crawling away lazily. They were not fast, and if Nick had thought to look a little further he probably would have stumbled upon the creature. Thankfully this was not the case! Flux loved her trainer but she preferred stealth and missions to random beatdowns, especially when it was clear she wasn't even going to get to take part in said beat down! "That is a big number Quanta. Is that a lot in humans?" She asked, pressing her fingerless hands together in one last attempt to look innocent. When all else failed, there was ignorance. Quanta continued to stare her down a moment longer before rotating around and facing a returning Nick who looked none to pleased that their prey had gotten away somehow. "I wasn't seeing things. And there is no way it heard us coming until we got close... I was under the impression those things were slow as syrup in the winter but I suppose I might have miscalculated it's ability to flea when necessary. Lets go." He stated with a shrug, falling back into step along the path after scooping up flux and putting her into his shirt via his collar. Instead, he could feel the ditto wriggling around a bit - assuming she was simply flattening out and getting comfortable... She did that too, but only after rubbing her nubs together in a conspiratorial manner. "Heheh.." She failed to stop the giggle from escaping while the trio walked - If Nick had been right about their surroundings, which he always was, they would be exiting the forest soon, another day of watching Quanta get the spotlight avoided yet again.

Elfana Aroway Starting off her trip through Hoenn wasn't ideal but the tall trees blocking out the majority of the sunlight more than made up for it. The woods were comfortably dark and cool. She could hear many Pokemon skittering about in the foliage around her. Sometimes she would stop to investigate the source of the sound, only to discover the Pokemon had fled upon hearing her team in the area. She didn't blame them. Kiro, at least, was an intimidating Pokemon. The bright purple- yellow. His skin was turning yellow. She waved the Toxicroak over to her and began to examine him. There were several bright yellow splotches across his body but they didn't appear to be causing him any sort of pain. The change almost reminded her of how a Kecleon would change colors. "It appears as though you've evolved into a Kecleon, Kiro." This was said in jest but her expression didn't match her tone at all. The doctor was worried for her Toxicroak. Kiro responded with a croak that came off as more nervous than he intended for it to before hopping on ahead. She would examine him more thoroughly once they arrived at the Rustboro City Pokemon Center. Kiro was allowed to continue to walk with her but she kept a close eye on him.
