Brian smiled at the Lopunny's words, glad they were of the same mind with him. He glanced at Grace to see more curiosity than wariness in her covered eyes, then looked back at Skylar as he spoke. "I think Grace is more curious about ye than she is wary," he said. "I think we'll be alright for now. We stocked up on supplies right before leaving home, so we should be good for a while yet." Before he could say anything else, he heard a voice from behind him, and he turned to see his mother, Allison, approaching. "I thought you might need this," she said, holding out a map to him. "Yeah, that might come in handy," Brian said, grinning. "Thanks, Mama. This is Skylar, by the way. He'll be my traveling companion." "It's nice to meet you, Skylar," Allison said, giving Skylar a friendly smile. "I'm glad to know that Brian will have a friend to keep him company on his journey."

Brian gave a nod in response to Skylar's words. "Yes, I'm planning to take on the Gyms, as well," he said. Allison smiled at Skylar when he said they would be fine, then noticed Grace on Brian's shoulder. "Who is this little cutie?" she asked, making Grace smile. "This is Grace," Brian answered. "I'll tell ye how she and I met later, Mama." Allison nodded and headed back into the house, and Brian turned to Skylar, settling his pack a little more comfortably on his shoulders. "Yes, Grace is level 11," he said. "She was level 10 when I got her. I've got a Gible named Sonic that's close to leveling up to 11, and Grace isn't that far from level 12. The others haven't hit level 10 yet."

Despite having already gone through Littleroot once earlier in the day he was still impressed by the size of the town. The name of it had him convinced it would be so much smaller. That was fine by him. He was enjoying the walk with his new partner. Talking with a Pokemon he couldn't understand was a new experience for him. Walter, Saiphe, and Kayuki could all communicate with him easily and all three of them were willing translators. Ashe could understand him perfectly but he needed to make sense of her through her expressions and tones. He was having a lot of fun with it! He was lucky that the Treecko was patient with her new trainer. They had only just met so she couldn't expect him to understand her perfectly yet. She was happy with her situation all the same. "We have to make a quick stop between towns but we'll head straight to Oldale after. Are you okay to keep walking?" Kana didn't know how much time the Treecko had spent outside of the lab so he felt it best to check in occasionally to make sure she wasn't being worn out. He wasn't the type of trainer that was comfortable with forcing a Pokemon to continue on without any sort of rest. Ashe responded with a confident "Treecko!", excited to continue moving. This would be her first time out of Littleroot and she couldn't wait! She wanted to see what the world outside of the lab was like. "Alright then. Onwards!" Kana was a little excited to start their quest too. Unlike Elle, he loved being outside. While his indifference towards the Gym Challenge remained, he planned on taking it on anyway. He couldn't ask Elfana to do something without having experienced it himself too. He would collect some badges then...he considered it for a moment then shrugged. They would figure that out later. After a very long flight that felt like it would last forever, the familiar shores of home came into view. "Home..." Faithe says in a whisper as her long stare out the windows caught the sight of Littleroot Town into view. She glanced over to Teriyaki, somehow her pokesister had orchestrated this with the pilot. "Thank you... Sis." she says quietly as she looks back out the window, her heart racing with the thought of seeing her family again. Finally the helicopter landed and Faithe was able to disembark.
"MY BABY GIRL!" thunders the excited voice of Faithe's father as she got off the helicopter. The large man swept Faithe up in his arms spinning her around before putting her back down on the ground. "That unique Florges of yours contacted us and let us know that you were coming home." he says happily as he walks her away from the helicopter landing pad.
"It was absolutely terrible there dad. I saw someone get eaten by a monstrous pokemon. And the friends I had made there got hurt, and the whole dang time... I couldn't do anything to help anyone." Faithe whimpers as she leans on her father.
"Nonsense. I have no doubt that you touched many hearts while you were there. You don't have to be a hero, for your actions to matter ya know. You made friends while you were there. It felt so good to be home. She took a long hot shower, did her laundry, and spent the rest of the day playing with her younger sisters and catching up with her older brother and sister. The table was full of food and love at dinner. The whole family of seven gathered to feast, and as Teriyaki had planned, help recharge Faithe. She had seemed sort of listless through the day, but slowly her normal exuberance returned. By the end of dinner the unflappable smile had returned to her face. "Your such a brat, you know that right Teri?" Faithe says to Teriyaki after dinner when the family had gone out back to watch the sunset together. "I guess that's why your my sister huh?" she adds with a giggle as she hugged her pokesister tight. Teriyaki trilled excitedly and squeezed Faithe tight in response, earning a well expected 'ack!' from Faithe as she squashed the girl in her arms. "Some things never change huh." Faithe giggles after Teriyaki releases the hug. There were so many times she wished to be more like Teriyaki, her pokesister was such an incredibly brave and powerful pokemon. As the sun faded below the horizon and stars slowly filled the sky. Faithe sat on the porch beside Teriyaki leaning against the warm fire type pokemon. "I love all of you so dang much." she says with a broad smile, and a sastisfied sigh. She watched the twinkling stars as everyone else finally went inside, sitting quietly on the porch with Teriyaki, a strange dark envelope flitted out of the sky landing on her lap.
