Gym Battles
Please post here to request a gym battle or to let a moderator know that you have finished a battle and it is waiting for approval
- All gyms are located in their in game locations
- All gym leaders are always present to take care of a challenge
- If you are challenging a gym leader for the first time, you will be playing out the battle with a moderator
- You must be given permission to take gym challenges on your own before you may proceed to conduct those battles for yourself
- For all battles, you must wait for a moderator's approval and awarding of your gym badge before you may move on
- Within the gym there are trainers you must defeat before moving on to the leader, you must successfully defeat all of the trainers to do so. These battles may be conducted by yourself
- Up until you are challenging the actual gym leader, you may leave the gym
- If you are defeated or leave the gym before defeating the gym leader, you will be challenged by the gym trainers again before coming to the leader
- If you battle a gym trainer more than once, you will not receive exp for any more than the first time you defeat them
- Gym trainer exp is earned per Pokemon defeated and is as follows: {Click}Lv. 1-10 give 5
Lv. 11-20 give 10
Lv. 21-30 give 12
Lv. 31-40 give 15
Lv. 41-50 give 18
Lv. 51-60 give 20
Lv. 61-70 give 25
Lv. 71-80 give 30
Lv. 81-90 give 35
Lv. 91+ give 40
- You cannot forfeit or 'run' from a gym battle with a gym leader. You will be expected to finish the battle once you've begun the challenge no matter the outcome
- If someone is in the middle of a challenge or challenged a leader before you did, you must wait until they are finished and have been awarded their badge
- You must challenge the gym leaders in each region in their proper league order, you cannot skip or come back to a gym leader
- When you have gained the eighth badge of a region, the Pokemon in your active party at that time will be ineligible for any further gym battles, regardless if they participated in the battle or not
- If you've made a mistake or need to change something in your battle, you will be expected to fix those mistakes before you will be awarded your badge
Like the games, you must have badges to control certain leveled Pokemon, otherwise they may not listen to you and just goof off. A Badge will only earn you the respect of your Pokemon so long as you have no ribbons.
With no gym badges or only one gym badge, you are only able to control Pokemon level 25 and under.
The badges are as follows:
You must have 2 consecutive (in a row) badges to control Lv. 30 or lower
You must have 4 consecutive to control Lv. 50 or lower
You must have 6 consecutive to control Lv. 80 or lower
You must have 8 consecutive badges to control Lv. 100 or lower
Other than your starter, if you have a Pokemon higher than the required level you must roll a single 6-sided dice. If you roll a 1, 3 or 5, your attack goes through. If it's any other number, your Pokemon disobeys you.
Along with obtaining badges, every time you obtain a certain number of collective badges, you can get bonus exp and some rewards, which are as follows.
1 badge- +5 exp to each party Pokemon and x1 TM of your choice
5 badges- +15 exp to each party Pokemon and x3 max revives and 3 full restores
10 badges- +20 exp to each party Pokemon and x3 hold/form change items of your choice
15 badges- +25 exp to each party Pokemon and x10 berries of your choice
20 badges- +30 exp to each party Pokemon and x3 lucky eggs
25 badges- +35 exp to each party Pokemon and x1 HM, and x3 TMs of your choice
30 badges- +40 exp to each party Pokemon and 2 active Pokemon's exp gets reset of your choice
35 badges- +45 exp to each party Pokemon and x10 rare candies
40 badges- +50 exp to each party Pokemon and x1 mega stone and x1 Z Crystal
45 badges- +55 exp to each party Pokemon and x1 Lv. 25 shiny Pokemon of choice
50 badges- +60 exp to each party Pokémon and x3 event items of choice
55 badges- +70 exp to each party Pokemon and x1 Lv. 50 shiny pokemon of choice
60 badges- +75 exp to each party Pokemon and x5 any non event items of choice
64 badges- Any legendary of choice |
