Although his tone remained as impassive as one who knew him could expect - Thade was the type of person who could tell a little girl her Rockruff had gotten stabbed to death by a mob of Sveiper and maintain that same tone. but given his personal connection to the topic at hand, he found his mind swimming quite a bit, which of course lead to the awkward body language. It was not until he had finished speaking and explaining what it was that he needed that the man realized his mistake and corrected his posture, becoming the ever rigid solider he'd been playing since he was but a child. He took note of her minuscule reactions like a professional even whilst fidgeting himself. There were times where he wished he weren't so observant - it was not even in his nature, but the lifetime spent tracking and observing patterns in nature translated to places he wished it wouldn't - like facial expressions. Based on what he observed, the man was prepared to take back his request immediately. Before he could, however, he found himself frowning as the Jynx jumped in and immediately changed his train of thought to that of simply correcting himself. "That is not what I intended to say. He would never hurt another human being...erm." Thadius coughed into his hand to clear his throat of the original ending to his statement which had been 'i think'. So far as he knew, Nicolai was only hunting for Pokemon. That it was on a grand scale did not help things, but there was no way he was about to tell Elfana that. Certainly, that would give her a bad impression that would carry to their first interactions and that was the very last thing that he wanted from this. His eyes swiveling, the older man caught a quick glimpse of Kayuki only to find himself holding the gaze longer than was probably necessary. He could smell the murder on that one, and while it bothered him little - he didn't want any of this party to be too unhappy with his request. Elfana was pro-pokemon as it were, and if her party put up a fuss then it could cause problems. When the same jynx that had voiced against him seemed to indicate she was finished, he turned his attention back to the younger woman and tried to force a bit of a smile. Then she started chuckling and he felt a bit of cold sweat build on his back immediately. His wife laughed like that sometimes - but it was never good. "If this isn't something you can do, I under-" He tried to interject, only to his head to the side in unison with his Pidgey. Interesting? That was not quite how he would have framed the request, but that wasn't necessarily bad right? The man sighed, waiting as she prodded him for giving her away before even asking permission. To be fair, he deserved that, and he hadn't exactly framed the person who had her information in a good light. The man really needed to work on his delivery in the future- 'you always tell yourself that you old fool.' He thought to himself, catching on to her next statement as a wave of relief fell over his shoulders. She hadn't even needed to agree for him to know she was in, the grin she wore and hints were enough to tell him that... Still, the man let go of a breath he hadn't even been aware he was holding when she confirmed her willingness to help. His son needed this, and even while Thadius was not a people person himself -once upon a time, a beautiful young woman had saved him from going down a dark path, which was really saying something when you consider that he had still spent nearly two decades in team rocket. Just as he was prepared to thank the woman - Thadius stopped short, soaking that last bit in. It gave the man pause for a moment while he considered the not so great possibilities. In the end, whether it was the only bit of selfishness in his old bones, or simply because he truly believed that nothing terrible would happen to either of them, Thadius nodded, his gratitude evident in his now perked expression. "It won't be a problem, the boy is just a bit misguided. Personally I think the two of you might actually get along. He loves his science voodoo too." While he knew it showed his age, the man wiggled his fingers to indicate the 'magic' that was science. He understood a great deal more than one might assume - but he was not his son, and certainly not Elfana. "I have taken great care to make you out to be the type of person I already know you to be. And, if this helps with the task at all, the man who will be looking for you is in possession of an entirely unique species of Pokemon that he needs help with. To be very honest, so far as I know, it is the only one of it's kind." It was true - He had painted Elfana as essentially a god of Pokemon repair, and so far as he knew, she might as well have been. The Pokemon bit he could safely assume would at least pique her interest and maybe help make the experience more bearable. Andronite was a team rocket pokemon that no longer existed until his son had managed to revive one from some scrap remains, or so he was told. When she asked for a description - Thadius stopped walking, unable to hide a very awkward chuckle while he tried to think of how to phrase the answer. Surely he could have described the man as tall, handsome, fit, and intelligent, but that almost made the man feel like he was bragging. In the end, Thadius scratched his chin, lifting his arms and slowly letting them fall over his own body before giving a shrug. "He looks... Like me. Well, except with youthful red hair and probably a few less wrinkles. But he's tall, blue eyes, little lanky, and he's got a bit of a crooked smile. I can have hurricane drop off a photo later on if you'd like. I uh, I don't really have one on me." While it was technically a lie, Thadius didn't see himself parting with the one photo he had of both his son and wife. Besides, that particular photo had a Nicolai no more than ten years old so it was unlikely to help. "You don't need to worry about tracking him down, in fact - I don't want you to have to go out of your way any more than you already are. The boy needs help but in time I suspect he will find you. I'm... Not really sure why I thought this was a good idea to be honest, but I'm glad you are willing to help me with it - sincerely. I think this just might be the thing to save his life. So, thank you Elfana." The man bowed deeply as he finished, a whistle from his Musharna causing the man to redden a bit. It was not that he had any prideful resentment of humbling himself - but both he and the Musharna knew that this was essentially a new world record for words stated in a single conversation for Thadius. He had said less to his wife on their entire week-long honeymoon. When he returned to his full height, the man adjusted the strange backpack he wore and nodded to the woman, his gaze following the path they were on and then coming back to her with a bit of a smirk. The town was just over the next ridge. "For what it is worth, I have always found the ones who love Pokemon most tend to make for the best trainers. I know that probably won't mean much while you trudge through this region in the rain and snow but you should know that I am rooting for you Miss Elfana. Also... That Crogunk isn't a half bad tracker. Maybe someday I can help refine that." They had been slightly ineffective on their path towards the nearest town - but for a Pokemon like crogunk, who he had clearly seen scouting their route before they'd set off? It was rather impressive. Perhaps he'd have to catch one for himself and see what other relevant skills they might possess. "But you need water for a lapras! So it would have to be a cart with a pool in it!" This idea just kept getting better and better! Little one couldn't swim but he did like the water either way. Before Thadius had remarked on their current location, the wind had told Little one everything he needed to know to understand that he was going to be leaving his new friend far too soon. The pidgey coo'd sadly, receiving a scratch on the neck from Thadius almost instantly. Pantalaimon was a good turtwig... He wished they could stay and talk more but Thadius never stayed in other company for too long. Wriggling his beak, the Pidgey nodded at his little turtle friend and added. "One day I will come back and we will see just how big you get! And me! And then we will get that Lapras and fight all the big bad monsters. Fluttering down from his trainer's shoulder, Little one nuzzled the turtwig just slightly and chittered something unintelligible. "Make sure you think of a cool superhero name while I'm gone okay?"

Elfana Aroway Elfana was certain she had gotten her point across, though Thadius still just seemed pleased that she was willing to go along with whatever he was planning. He was someone she trusted. That alone made doing this favor for him worth the effort. Getting close to Elfana was not an easy task. She couldn't help but chuckle when he referred to science as "voodoo". He wasn't entirely wrong. A common interest might help her tolerate him a bit better than she might a normal stranger- had his description of her not already ruined any chance of her being viewed in a positive light. She was aware that she was in no way an easy person to get along with and her reputation as a person wasn't exactly positive. Elfana was an excellent doctor but her people skills were virtually nonexistent. They had never been something she had felt were necessary to improve. She didn't need to be able to hold a conversation to help her patients. "A one of its kind Pokemon..." Thade had been right. Elfana looked genuinely interested in the thought of dealing with a Pokemon entirely new to her. Fascinated as she was, her neutral expression had been replaced with an almost sad smile. "It must be so lonely." She murmured, more to herself than him. Just like that, Andronite had taken priority over all else. She would do whatever she could to help that Pokemon when the time came. From what she had seen of the Pokemon she had treated, they thrived among other Pokemon and people. She couldn't imagine a Pokemon being totally alone. The doctor was torn from her thoughts when Thade began to describe the person she would be meeting eventually. "A mini Thade. Got it." Dealing with someone who looked kinda like Thade might make the process easier too. He would remind her of something she was familiar with. Interacting with a new human was always...a process...but familiarity made all the difference sometimes. Elfana considered accepting the offer for a photo but shook her her in the end. She would meet him eventually anyway. "I'm sure I'll be able to recognize him when I see him. No picture necessary."
She didn't need to see the city to know how close they were. Cities weren't exactly quiet places. She stopped, watching him bow with a small but awkward smile. Elfana liked to think of herself as a professional creature most of the time but bowing was a bit too formal from someone she considered to be a friend. "Don't mention it. You're one of the few people I like enough to help out and I get to see a new Pokemon. This should be fun." She stared at Thade thoughtfully before bowing in return. It still felt like a bit much but she was hoping to make the situation a bit more comfortable for him. "I'm not sure about saving his life but I'll see what I can do." She straightened herself out, holding Pantalaimon up so he could nuzzle Little One as soon as he was close enough to do so. "Grow big and strong! You're gonna be the bestest birdy ever, I'm sure of it!" He waved his foot and smiled excitedly despite how sad he was to be parting with his friend. "We'll see each other again soon! And we'll have a Lapras by then!" Elfana hugged the Turtwig and bowed slightly one more time. "Seeing you again was nice. I hope next time it's under better circumstances." The mansion had left her a total mess...and if the rain and snow thing was anything to go off of she would probably be even worse off when they next met. She would hope for the best. "If he warms up to you I will certainly let you try." That was Kiro's call though. She wasn't going to force him to learn. "Croagunk are amazing Pokemon. You should try to find one while you're in the region." Elfana shifted uncomfortably before offering up another small smile. She wasn't used to people encouraging her so it had taken her a moment to come up with what she felt was an appropriate response. "And...thank you, Thade. Hearing that someone believes I can do this is...nice." Aaaaaand that was enough awkwardness for her for the day. She raised a hand and waved slightly before turning and heading towards the city. "See you around, Thade! Stay safe!" She called back to him. Kayuki followed close behind her but Walter hung back a bit. "Thank you for encouraging her. She needed that." The Alakazam bowed like his trainer before grinning. "Good luck out there, Thadius. I hope we hear from you soon...and try not to worry. I'll keep an eye on both of them- when I can anyway." The person he wanted Elfana to meet was clearly someone important if Thadius was taking the time to set up a meeting. Walter would make sure the encounter went as well as it could.
The Alakazam had to run a bit to catch up to Elfana. She looked more than a bit exhausted after her night in the forest but she seemed...happy. Seeing Thadius had helped quite a bit. "Ready for the next Gym?" Elfana nodded. "Ready as we're going to be." She just wanted to get it over with so she could get far away from Eterna. The whole area needed to be removed. She glanced back one final time before entering the city. She still wasn't thrilled about being away from her lab but thanks to Thadius she now had something to look forward to. That made it a little bit better.Partners: SorukaNyoki Out of their Pokeballs: Pantalaimon (Turtwig), Kiro (Croagunk), Walter (Alakazam), Kayuki (Jynx), Geno (Pawniard) Wearing: outfit, coat, shoes Trainer Encounter: 40/25 Wild Encounter: 8/5 Item Posting: Vs.
