"Sky Glittering with Flowers of Snow."
In one of the most northern reaches of Unova where the weather gets more difficult to contend with in any given season, Icirrus City can be found situated on the hill tops that make up the landscape for the north. Because of the mountains and frigid climate that surround this area, rainfall is quite frequent which makes for an almost ever present series of puddles and marshes that make up the lower grounds of Icirrus. In the winter however, when snow is more than common to blanket the city, these marshes and puddles freeze over and become ponds of ice, making for travel in this area very difficult. This is not to say that those who live here do not love their home, for they are very self sustained with the abundant windmills that take their place at the top of the hills, and the Moor of Icirrus is one of the most acclaimed spots for visiting while in the north.
{Icirrus City Gym (Click)}Brycen is the official Gym Leader of Icirrus City's Gym. He specializes in Ice-type Pokémon and he gives the Freeze Badge to Trainers who defeat him. In his younger years, he caught a lucky break in Poke Studios, landing him a starring role in an action movie, thanks to his superb martial arts skills. As time passed, he rose into stardom and featured in many action movies, however as the villain. Namingly in the movies 'Brycen-Man' and in 'Mecha Cop.' His acting career was at an all time high, until he was almost fatally wounded during an action sequence. Afterwards, he quit acting all together, and after a long talk from Alder, he was convinced to start training. After completely disappearing into an Icy Cave, training himself and the Pokemon he caught. He returned and was able to prove his strength and became a Gym Leader, however he kept his identity a secret. He was never seen without his mask, and kept his fame and identity hidden from the world. As time past, and he was traveling he found many Beartic traps around the forests and was applauded. After thinking long and hard, he revealed his identity, and went back to acting. He began to use his fame and stardom to advocate against poachers, and explain the importance of the bond between a trainer and their Pokemon.

Aspen was raised as a country boy, a little ways from the City of Driftveil. He got a job at the young age of 13, rather than going off on his journey like many of his friends. He was raised in hard work, and discipline, and jumped at the chance of getting a job, helping unload the smaller items in the ships, while going to school. After graduating high school, instead of becoming a trainer, or going off to college, he put his savings to good use and moved to Icirrus City with his Pokemon, and bought a small cabin away from the City in the marsh. Aspen continues to do hard work in the city, cutting down rotting trees, helping keep the waters clean, shoveling snow during the winters, and helping to keep the city clean and safe, and his Pokemon help him with all of his work. But in his down time, in the slower seasons, he does enjoy the pampered life, and going a bit of contests. Who ever said manly men can't enjoy Contests? Aspen is a very mature acting man. He was raised to be very chivalrous, and have the utmost respect and manners towards others. He is a very friendly man, and loves keeping those around him laughing. He is quite a contender in the Contests, and even though being very respectful, he still will try his hardest to win. Unlike the other Contest Leaders of Unova, Aspen usually keeps to himself.
