Watching carefully to make sure that there wasn't going to be a need for them to step into the battle, Emiri remained with Azuran, Charizard, Salamence and Hantu out of the line of fire as Lynno relentlessly attacked the Mismagius that had threatened them so. His attacks were powerful, though a bit reckless as the waves of dark energy raced through the air, and then even that strange attack that Emiri had never seen before seemed to hold just a bit more power than he was capable of controlling. Emiri knew that Lynno meant well and would listen in battle when it came down to it, but even from the beginning he had always been a bit reckless, and less likely to listen since they didn't have a very friendly beginning together. But he was powerful, and confident, and could take a hit and keep on swinging, and his tenacity to prove himself went unmatched when it came to battles. She knew that he was doing this to protect them, though he might never admit to it, and Emiri watched the power of the attack that he had issued, that green energy streaming from each tip of his feathered wings as it struck the Mismagius like a rain of spikes being thrown by a Sandslash. The witch tried to fend off the attack the best that she could, and for a moment Charizard contemplated burning up her force field that she had put up, but Lynno's powerful attack managed to break through the darkness she had tried to protect herself with and had started to strike every part of her cloth form. The witch screamed as her cloth ripped and the green ribbons of energy struck through her very being, and with each strike she seemed to lose more and more of her power and strength as she started to fall throught the air. She screeched and screamed until nothing could be heard from her dark figure disappearing into the clouds beneath them, and Lynno looked down to his teammates as he moved swiftly through the air to join them, a stray spark moving over his feathers still.
"You sure you miss traveling with us," Lynno sneered, looking to Hantu whom had only just decided to rejon them on their travels, already privy to some of the worst things that had happened to them, but it seemed that things like this happened enough that they were hardened by them and almost expected to have their lives threatened. Emiri sat on Azuran's saddle, lightly trembling still at the assault on her mind that the Mismagius had caused, and while she wanted to praise Lynno for his power, and wonder how he had learned such a unique attack, she couldn't shake the sick feeling that still hung in her stomach, like the witch's energy was still looming over them.
"I don't think she's gone... What if Raphiel sent her...." Emiri uttered, hardly able to think clearly, or think of anything aside from the vivid memories that were starting to take her over. Her few Pokemon growled and snarled at just the mention of Raphiel, all except Hantu, not wanting to accept or think that this was his doing.
"Cronus would let us know if that evil came back," Azuran tried to reason, knowing the great psychic was keeping his thoughts open for such an instance, but Charizard was less than convinced, having not exactly seen eye to eye with the Mewtwo in the ballroom that night.
"He didn't find anything wrong with that invitation in the first place, what would make this any different to him," Charizard growled, but any other words were cut short as the clouds the witch had fallen into began to grow dark, and the winds around them began to pick up.
"I guess you were right," Salamence growled as he glanced to Emiri who was preparing for the worst, reaching into her bag and grabing her goggles to help her see in the increasing winds as she placed them over her eyes and made sure they were secure. The clouds continued to grow darker still, rumbling with a terrible force that threatened to consume them, but Emiri's few Pokemon held strong in the increasing winds to keep themselves aloft and together in their group.
"We have to find the witch," Charizard roared over the rushing wind around them as Emiri clung easily to Azuran's saddle, hanging on as the air around them began to shift and move in a circular pattern, beginning to create a sort of vortex. They seemed to be in the middle of everything, the force wanting to pull them in to the center of this shadow induced storm as the clouds circled and swirled around them in a violent and growing cyclone. Within the darkness and shadows, the witch's shrill cackle came over the wind, echoing around them, taunting them with her direction, and Charizard held a fire in the back of her throat ready to strike if she caught sight of the Mismagius. There was a flash of movement within the vortex around them, and she turned with a snarl as she released a torrent of fire into the dark clouds, but it did little to make the storm dissipate as the flames were consumed by the now gale force winds. It was turning into a real struggle to keep themselves in the air where they were, their wings were constantly being caught by winds in every direction that threatened to tear them apart, but it only became more aparent that that was what the witch intended as she shrieked again and revealed herself through the darkness. Her dark cloth body began to twist and stretch with the force of the winds that she had summoned, looming over them now as she leered down at them with her sickly yellow eyes. Charizard and Salamence both growled and snarled at her revealing herself then and opened their muzzles, releasing a combined torrent of fire that would have surely seared through anything caught in its wake, but the cloth that the Mismagius was covered in came up in a series of long tendrils that drove the flames into the swirling vortex, leaving her unharmed. She regarded them with her malicious tone then, glaring over all of them with her sharp eyes and the threat on their lives, and it seemed their anger and ferocity only spurred her on more to want to consume their souls. Emiri trembled atop Azuran as she clung to his saddle, her hands growing white at the grip she had on the holds, trying not to give in to the intoxicating darkness that surrounded the witch. She looked over her, Charizard, and Azuran, Emiri knew they harbored so much darkness and so much pain every day of their lives that it must be a calling card to a malevolent spirit like this, and she was beginning to think that Raphiel had nothing to do with this, and it was instead just a horrid spirit that was bent on keeping herself alive in this afterlife. Azuran snarled as the witch looked him over, daring her to make her next move that would pose any kind of threat to Emiri or Charizard, but instead the witch turned her focus on Lynno, disappearing in that instant and appearing right in front of him, causing the bird to waver in the air. Lynno caught himself on his wings, glaring and leering at the witch as she regarded him, but just as he was getting ready to attack with the dark energy that laced his wings, she caught him with the tendrils of her fabric and swung in the other direction towards his teammates that had roared at the sight of him being ensnared. Lynno watched in abject anger as the force of her swing caught under all of their wings, and one by one he heard their roars and Emiri's screams as they were thrust into the darkness, into the swirling form of the vortex around them.
"No, Emiri," he shouted, struggling now to rid himself of the hold the witch had on him, rivaling her strength with the strength of his wings and the speed that treatened to give way if he could just gain the right leverage, but the tendrils of fabric only began to constrict him more the more he moved and struggled, beginning to ensnare him entirely.
The force of the winds and the force of the dark energy that knocked them back was too great for any one of them to fight off and right themselves as Azuran, Charizard, Salamence and Hantu were forced into the swirling, consuming dark clouds that had trapped them. Emiri clung with all of her strength to Azuran's saddle, keeping her foot holds steady and her body close to his form so as not to create any drag between him and herself, but just hanging on wasn't enough. Lynno was in trouble, they couldn't just float and hope for the best, they needed to get out of this, and fast. When the tornado had struck over Mt. Moon, Emiri and her Pokemon spent ample time making sure that they would be able to survive such an instance again, and Emiri was determined to push through the struggle instead of letting it take her over. She was forcing away memories of Charizard's roar, watching her flame disappear in the midst of the dust and debris, and as much as those memories pained her, she didn't want a repeat of anything with Lynno's life on the line. Only a few seconds had passed before Emiri situated herself on Azuran's saddle, watching with her goggles to see the angle of his wings and the direction in which the vortex was moving, and through the only way she knew how without being able to speak over the roaring winds, she used the unspoken language that all of her Pokemon knew through the movement of their saddles. Azuran's enormous wings were struggling to gain any kind of ground because they were trying to go against the current of the winds, she watched his tail behind them and made sure that she could feel which direction the winds were going before pushing down on his saddle with her right leg and pulling both of her arms to the right, telling him to turn right into a verticle bank. Azuran understood immediately what it was Emiri wanted him to do, the training they had worked on in case of such conditions, and he gave out a guttural roar to try and communicate with Charizard, Salamence and maybe Hantu to get them on the same track. With a moment of struggle on his large wings, Azuran managed to bring his right wing out from a stray draft and turn himself in the other direction, catching an updraft as he now moved effortlessly with the moving, rising current of the wind. His keen hearing kept a lookout for any calls of distress, but at the sound of his roar, moments later he heard the sounds of a similar call and caught sight of Charizard and Salamence moving towards him through the winds. They understood the same tactic that Emiri had communicated to Azuran, and were following him in a sharp verticle bank along the current of the winds, using the natural momentum to propel themselves forward and upward. Hantu managed too to catch on to what it was they were trying to do, always a smart dragon that Emiri enjoyed training, and within moments the four of them were nearing the top of the vortex and would be able to spiral over the top edge to dive back down through the center and away from the vortex.
Within the vortex, listening to the roars and struggle of his teammates through the darkness, Lynno fought and struggled against the holds that the witch had on him, trying to get any kind of air in his wings or any kind of leverage to manuever away, but no matter how he fought or how he struggled, the witch held her grip firmly and relentlessly. Every movement he made caused him to become more tangled in her tendrils until he was only able to move his head as the dark cloth consumed him. He wasn't backing down though, he wasn't going to give in to her power over him, even as she muttered something about a curse, and began to chant in some language that the bird didn't understand. The witch chanted and chanted until she was shrieking the words over and over, her voice carrying over the winds that whirled around them, and Lynno could hear the sounds of his teammates moving through the vortex, his keen hearing catching the sound of their wings, but he feared it would be too late by the time they managed to escape for whatever this witch planned to do with him... He winced in pain as some horrific force took over his body, and everything went black as he squawked in anguish, his body consumed in darkness. He had no other thoughts in that moment except for accepting his end with the fight he put up, and the witch cackled and shrieked with her malevolent work completed for now.
With Azuran leading the charge, only moments had passed as Emiri and the rest of her Pokemon worked through the vortex, coming to the top of the storm, but no sooner did Azuran come spiraling out of the top of it, snapping out his wings to give himself the leverage to thrust downwards, the clouds dissipated immediately as though they had never been there, and they were left in the clear blue skies that they had been in just before. Charizard, Salamence, and Hantu were thrust into the air at the sudden disappearance of the forces they were working against, their momentum propelling them forward just a bit as they tried to right themselves to come back towards Azuran, but looking around there was nothing, not the witch, not darkness... Not even Lynno.
"Where is that witch, what happened," Charizard coughed and breathed, struggling now to keep herself aloft in her weakened state, having not intended to go through another tornado while she was trying to recover. Emiri began to panic, not even caring about finding the witch to end her, she couldn't see Lynno anywhere, didn't know what had happened to the bird while they had been trapped in the vortex. She lifted her goggles, trying to look for any sign of him in the air, but looking down far below them after working their way up through the vortex, she caught a spec of brown falling down towards the city beneath them, and she could swear that was Lynno's brown figure that she saw.
"There," Emiri called, situating her goggles again as she pushed down on Azuran's saddle, and within seconds the enormous fossil was rushing down through the air on one push of his wings, the angle allowing him to dive at an incredible speed despite his size as they raced to reach Lynno before he hit anything. They had been forced so far up away from him that he had been falling already for enough time to get close to the city beneath them, and would certainly hit the sky scrs that were there on the ground if they didn't catch him in time. Charizard, Salamence, and Hantu thrust downwards and raced after Azuran in that moment, hoping for the best since they had found their teammate in the air. Emiri held herself close against Azuran's body, minimizing any drag for him so they would be able to reach Lynno before it was too late, but as they came closer, Emiri feared for the worst as she saw not the figure of a Pidgeot they were racing after, but a small unconscious Pidgey that was falling through the air.... Azuran shifted his angle just slightly as they came up on the unconscious figure, and Emiri was able to reach out and grab the Pidgey from the air, but just seconds later they were coming in very fast on the city below, the sky scrs beginning to come into their air space. Emiri held the Pidgey close against her with one arm as she pulled up with all her force on Azuran's saddle, and the fossil threw out his wings to slow his speed, but they had gained so much downward momentum that his wings did little to increase his drag as they were still rushing down towards the city. Emiri panicked, but only slightly as she felt Azuran struggling beneath her, but she leaned in on his saddle and pushed him forward, leveling out on his wings as they narrowly missed the edge of a sky scr. They came out into a tight left bank, but had to move into a right spiral to miss another building, coming in closer to the ground with every passing second as they tried to lose some of their momentum. Azuran roared as he leveled out again and threw out his wings just over the city streets, flapping vigorously to stop himself as he came to a slowed pace, finally able to gain control of himself. Stopping himself just above a set of buildings along the city street, Azuran made a heavy landing on the ground beneath him, coming down with a loud thud. He panted and heaved at the exertion he had just gone through, but looked up at the sound of wing beats following them down from the sky, Charizard leading Hantu and Salamence in the chase through the city skyline to keep up with him. Charizard had a less than graceful landing in her exhausted energy, coming down hard on the ground on her two legs, but that didn't stop her from stumbling and rushing forward to meet Azuran whom she had worried so much for.
"Azuran, are you alright," Charizard breathed, coughing a bit as she came up to him while Salamence and Hantu came to land behind her.
"Where's Emiri, and Lynno," the dragon questioned, trying to take stock of everything that had happened, and Azuran gave a heavy breath as he situated on the shoulders of his wings.
"Yes, I'm alright, we managed to make the landing," Azuran huffed as Emiri situated herself atop his shoulders.
"I'm right here Charizard, I'm alright," Emiri replied as Azuran leaned down to show her atop his shoulders, and with her free hand she lifted her goggles off of her eyes and sat them atop her head and her mess of wind blown tangled hair behind her. Charizard glanced around though as Salamence and Hantu came closer to join the group, drawing some stares at the large Pokemon that were there in the middle of the city, unable to see Lynno anywhere since they had made such an effort to dive down to get him.
"Where's Lynno," Salamence asked, coming up on the group, but Emiri's solemn look caused them to stop as Azuran leaned down further for her to dismount if she wanted, looking down to a small Pidgey that she held in her arms.
"Oh no... Not again....," Charizard breathed, having seen it enough before to not need to question if it was in fact Lynno that she was holding in her arms.
"No way... I thought that couldn't happen again," Hantu remarked, knowing what happened to Venusaur those years ago when they had fought against Lance, but he couldn't have fathomed that anything else would have been capable of that power.
"Emiri," came another voice from above, gaining the attention of her small group of Pokemon, and they saw Nimbus coming down towards them from the air with Flix close behind.
"Is everyone okay? There was a storm, and those black clouds, and I could hear shrieking and some terrible voices, what happened," the Raichu questioned in concern, having stayed away with Flix and the baby like Emiri had asked, but he worried so much about what had happened and if they had made it out alright.
"Almost everyone," Charizard commented, glancing down to the Pidgey in Emiri's arms.
"Why, what happened," Nimbus asked, though his words were cut short as he glanced to the Pidgey that Emiri was holding on to.
"Emiri... is that what happened to Rhydon...," Flix asked hesitantly, having been a part of the team then when Darkrai had attacked the rhino and caused him to revert back to his first stage as a Rhyhorn, and Emiri looked up to her Pokemon at Flix's question.
"I guess something similar... I just don't know how he's going to recover," Emiri spoke after a moment, moving then from Azuran's saddle as she put her feet on the ground, holding Lynno's small body in her arms carefully. It could go a number of ways, with all of the times that she had seen it done. When Venusaur had been changed by Lance and that blade, he'd had his energy drained and had to work to get his strength back in order to evolve. When Rhydon had been attacked by Darkrai, he had been thrust into such a powerful nightmare that it changed his reality, and it took the power of Cresselia to bring him out of that nightmare and back to reality. She'd even seen it with Marcellus' Pokemon, with Josette and Angelique, though the two Jynx were Smoochum again under different circumstances, but there were too many ways that this could go, and she didn't know what it would mean for Lynno.
"Where did that witch go, if we defeat her power, maybe Lynno will return to normal," Hantu questioned with a growl, wanting to get a piece of that Mismagius for himself now after the chaos she had caused, but there was no telling where the ghost had gone off to since there was no sign of her after the clouds had dissipated. Just then though, at the mention of the witch, Lynno's small figure began to move in Emiri's arms, there was a twitch of his wing first, and then Emiri could hear him muttering something, whispering before he began to grow erratic. He was gaining consciousness, but only just as he thrashed violently in Emiri's arms, scratching her with his small talons as he fluttered and fell from her arms the short way to the ground.
"No! Let me go," he squawked, struggling on the ground in an unknown force, surely the remnants of what he could remember before he had fallen unconscious.
"Lynno, Lynno" Emiri called then, trying to get his attention as she leaned down to his thrashing figure on the ground, not wanting him to hurt himself even more in his weakened state. The Pidgey struggled and fought, thrashing his wings and slashing with his claws, but Emiri reached out and held his wings against his body, trying to get him to come to through his state of shock.
"You can't do this," he squawked again, fighting against Emiri's hold, but she was afraid that he was going to hurt himself if he kept on.
"Lynno, you have to stop, the witch is gone," Emiri tried to get through to him, shaking him gently to try to get him to come to out of whatever consciousness he was living. He thrashed for just a moment more before he slowed to a stop in Emiri's hands, coughing and breathing heavily before he barely started to open his eyes.
"What? What's going on," he coughed again, and Emiri let him go gently as he stood on the ground, barely even a foot tall it seemed as he rustled his feathers. He blinked a bit before starting to look around through hazy eyes, a fog clouding in his mind and giving him trouble in trying to focus.
"Lynno, do you remember anything...," Emiri asked tentatively, wanting to ease him into the situation the best that she could, but knowing how Lynno was, this wasn't going to be an easy let down...
"That witch... She tried to put a curse on me..." he coughed, blinking again with his eyes to try and rid himself of the fog that was hazing through his mind, but he felt weak and groggy, and he couldn't understand why...
"A curse? So it can be broken, or it'll wear off, right," Salamence questioned, trying to find a solution to the problem already, but the small group looked at him with a glare as he had mentioned that out loud.
"Salamence," Azuran chided, knowing that this was going to be a difficult situation, but the dragon's words hadn't gone unnoticed as Lynno looked in his general direction.
"What do you mean it can be broken? What happened," the bird asked with aggression, wanting to know what they were all starting to tip toe around that no one was telling him.

Standing there on the ground, hardly able to think straight or really process what had happened after he recalled blacking out, Lynno was getting agitated and wasn't having anything in regards to his teammates.
"Look, I don't know what you're talking about, but I've got a witch to finish," Lynno sneered, having a vendetta against the ghost now since she had targeted him and singled him out among his teammates. He hadn't quite taken time in his hazy thoughts to pay much attention to his much larger surroundings, only having a mind to enact his revenge on the wicked spirit that had tried to threaten him and his teammates, and he was going to do just that. He opened his wings there on the ground and was intent on taking off into the air to track her down, but his now incredibly small wing span did little to carry him through the air as he flapped his wings to move upwards and forwards, but instead he went no where. He breathed for a second, believing himself just to be drained from having fought against the ghost, and fluttered again with his wings on the ground, moving forward on his talons to get any kind of lift, but while he jumped as high as he could, it seemed in this weakened state that even his ability to fly had been taken from him...
"What is going on," Lynno squawked again, only getting more upset at not being able to do anything that he was trying to do, but as he looked at his open wings, noticing them to be much smaller and his plumage to be minimal at best which was strange, it seemed that that witch had caused his focus and his thoughts to go awry. But as he looked at his wings, his eyes glanced past his wings down to the walkway that was just inches beneath him, as though he were laying down on the ground, or was already that close to the ground to begin with. He blinked his eyes a few times, trying to rid his head of the haze the witch had put him through, but Emiri and her few Pokemon were now preparing for the worst as it seemed Lynno was starting to realize that something wasn't quite right. He glanced from the ground, and around himself, finding that he wasn't able to make eye contact with any of his team like he was used to, but instead had to look up to even see some of their necks let alone their heads. He had been around long enough to have seen this done before... This wasn't really happening... Was it?
"No, this isn't happening," he breathed, and the panic began to set in as he looked back down over himself, lifting his wings and looking at his talons, realizing how much closer he was to the ground now.
"No, no no this isn't happening, this isn't real," he went on, testing out the movement of his wings to make sure that he was actually moving them and looking around frantically.
"Lynno...," Emiri tried to get his attention, but the bird wasn't having it as he looked at her with sharp eyes and a look that could kill.
"No, don't even start. You're going to try to tell me that everything will be okay. Is this okay? Does this look okay to you," he shouted then, stopping Emiri in her words as his aggression was taking over, his anger at the situation and what this meant for his life then.
"Lynno, Emiri had nothing to do with this," Azuran chided, not too keen on the notion that Lynno was starting to take out his anger on her, but the bird was far beyond taking out his anger on just one thing, he was angry at the world and wasn't going to have this.
"No, you don't get to talk," Lynno shouted again, interrupting Azuran in his words.
"You have no idea what it's like, being like me, you never would. You were already bigger than me when you were brought up in a lab, you can breathe fire even when you're the size of a human child, you have scales when you're born, you can fly," Lynno seethed, glaring and pointing at each one of them that surrounded him from Azuran to Hantu.
"Do you know what its like, being born with feathers, hatching so small that even a Growlithe could eat you if it wanted? I can't breathe fire, I don't have hard scales, hell, I can't even fly right now because that witch decided to take away everything that I've worked for," the bird raged, and this wasn't his normal temper, or his talking just to talk and fill in space, he was genuinely and holistically upset at what had happened to him, for reasons that none of them had ever considered.
"Living in a world of dragons and scales and fire breathing and teeth when all I have is feathers and a beak has never been easy, did you know that? Did you ever consider that for one second? I had to fight to keep up with you guys, fight to get stronger, and now all of that is gone because we were again in the wrong place at the wrong time. So I don't want to hear it, I don't want to hear that things are going to be okay, because things for me have always been different than for any of you," Lynno shot back, hardly able to believe that this was happening to him, not when he had spent so long trying to learn how to survive in a world of scales and teeth, when he had been just a Pidgey when Emiri caught him those years ago. He got to watch all of them fight and use their natural physique to take care of things, but he always had to be careful when he was smaller because he could get too hurt. Emiri's Pokemon remained silent at Lynno's words, having never to their dismay considered Lynno's feelings like that. He had always been so confident and so tough even when things seemed too bleak, but it seemed that that was all a front to make up for how he really felt about traveling with them.
"Lynno... We had no idea," Charizard returned after a moment, her tone remorseful and her demeanor was sympathetic.
"Yeah, well now you do. Now you can thank Arceus for your scales and your fire breathing. Save your sympathy. Sympathy isn't going to get me my life back," the bird chided, completely and utterly distraught at how things had turned out for him in those few moments that he had gained consciousness, entirely unsure of how he was supposed to move forward at all.
"No, it's not, but feeling sorry for yourself isn't going to do it either," Salamence growled, and though he earned a series of disgruntled looks from his teammates, he knew that Lynno had always responded to a sort of tough love before, needing to be told straight rather than beating around the bush.
"Yeah, that's what you have to say to me right now? What am I supposed to do like this, huh? How is losing years of my life going to help me," Lynno sneered, his tone harsh and cold as he turned to look up to Salamence whom stood above him, but the dragon didn't flinch at Lynno's sharp words.
"It's not, but we are. I don't know what it was like for you growing up as a Pidgey, you're right, but whatever happened then won't happen again because you're living in a world of dragons who are just as angry as you are," Salamence growled back, not liking Lynno's tone at all and how angry he was at all of them, but he wasn't going to make him think that he wasn't going to get help.
"Salamence is right, we weren't just going to ignore what happened and hope for the best," Azuran commented, looking down to the bird on the ground, concerned that Lynno thought for one moment that they weren't going to do everything in their power to fix the situation any way that they could. That's what they did for each of their teammates, whenever anything happened to any one of them. They weren't just going to leave him and make him figure things out on his own.
"What are you going to do about it? It's not like you're magic," the bird shot back, still hardly able to accept any kind of sentiment in the moment, and they could understand why both given how he was normally, and how his normal attitude was being magnified by the situation.
"Well, it's just like Salamence said, a curse can be broken. We've seen magic and unnatural things enough to know that power and control can be broken if you defeat the source," Charizard returned, though she paused at the thought of having to go up against that witch again, especially in her weakened state, and how disheveled everyone had become because of the fight.
"Well that's just great. I'm sure all of you know how to find a supernatural hag of a witch to make her fix this," the bird sneered, still far from accepting of the situation, but he was calmer than he was before, and wasn't coming off as hostile.
"We'll figure it out. I think we just need to take a bit to plan accordingly," Azuran replied, knowing that they hadn't been prepared at all to face that witch, and hadn't known what she could have been capable of.
"Yeah, okay, that's easy for you to say when you weren't almost killed," Lynno sneered, looking up at Azuran with a glare, but he knew really that there wasn't much more that could be done. They didn't know where the witch went, or how they were supposed to find her again, and certainly didn't have the bearings to go after her right this moment either, despite how much he didn't want to accept all of the following.
"Azuran is right. We'll figure it out Lynno," Emiri commented, knowing that Lynno didn't respond to sympathy and fruitless words well, but she was only trying to make him understand that he wasn't going to go through this alone. She leaned down with an extended arm, unsure if he would even accept the offer, but she didn't want to just leave him on the ground with no where else to go. The bird glared at Emiri, his feathers rustling at just the mere notion she would consider something so demeaning, but he heaved a sigh at knowing that there wasn't much else that he could do. He lifted one foot before clinging to Emiri's hand with his small talons, and began situating himself on her forearm just in time for her Pokemon to turn at the sound of running footsteps coming towards them. Emiri hadn't really expected anyone to pay much attention to what had happened from the ground, sure there would have been the dark clouds and the wind would have picked up, but no one they had landed around had seemed concerned at all, that was until Emiri was approached by a tall older brunet male that came running up to her, asking if everyone was alright. Emiri looked at him with wide brown eyes, almost frozen in her spot where she stood as her Pokemon looked down to the human that had come up to them. She hadn't been expecting anyone to come towards her, let alone ask if she was alright. Was he asking about what had happened in the sky...? He couldn't have seen them from that high up, or paid that close attention, but then he seemed concerned because of how far they 'fell'... He had watched the whole thing from the ground?
"Uh... Uhm..." Emiri stammered, at a loss for words on how to handle the situation since she never did well when she was put on the spot like this, but it seemed things got just a bit more complicated as Nimbus moved forward towards her, the baby still asleep behind him on the end of his tail, looking with his blue eyes past the male.
"Emiri, it's that human girl again...," Nimbus mentioned aloud, only in time for Emiri's eyes to glance over to Kira's exclamation. Now Emiri really didn't know what to do, as the whole situation had taken her aback from the second that witch found them in the air, and she stood there in a shocked state with her disheveled hair and her goggles perched atop her head, trying to sort through how to move forward.
"Uhm... No... We're not hurt... We weren't falling, we just came up on the city faster than we expected.....," Emiri answered hesitantly, glancing from Kira to the taller male that had approached them first, holding Lynno closer to her body now, becoming smaller among her Pokemon that looked down at the two humans.
"What is that human girl doing here? Her Pokemon aren't very nice...," Flix asked aloud, looking up to Charizard and Azuran whom were slightly less than pleasant upon seeing the girl again from the day before on the reserve grounds.
"Don't worry Flix, they won't hurt anything," Azuran returned in a low growl, stepping in closer to Charizard though out of habit and instinct.
"I, uhm... We're okay... But I didn't know you would be here Kira...," Emiri stammered, unsure of how to get any clear thoughts out, or keep her communication coherent as she glanced again to the girl Kira that had come up to her.
"Yeah, keep telling them we're okay. That's exactly what we are right now is just fine," Lynno sneered, grumbling to himself on Emiri's arm. Emiri glanced to Kira though, and noticed something in her hands, she was holding a camera for taking pictures...
"Why do you have a camera....," Emiri asked then in a quiet, almost fearful tone as her eyes stared at the device Kira held in her hands. At this point, Emiri had such an aversion to people knowing where she was and being able to see anything that she was doing, just the mere thought that a single picture that even showed any of her Pokemon in the midst of that mess existed was enough to cause her heart to skip a beat.

There were so many things now throughout her travels that had caused Emiri to become as standoffish and weary around other people as she was, for in a sense was was afraid of people and more often than not felt alienated from them. She had seen so much strife and cruelty that had been caused by humans, and only humans alone, and that caused her to separate herself from the vast majority of them because of what they were all capable of. Her first and most trying perils had been caused by Lance and the likes of the Kanto Elite Four, and Missingno was the result of Team Rocket and the Neo Rockets trying to ensue panic, Charizard had been stolen by that hunter working for the black market, Raphiel had held her and the other trainers hostage. Even Darkrai's motives and attacks were fueled by the footprint that humans had left on the world that he saw, their inhumane actions and rationalization of the terrible things they were doing, so in short there was little Emiri could say for other people that she didn't know very well which evidently made her a closed minded person. She could be friendly, when not in strenuating circumstances, and she could be kind if shown some kindness in return, but otherwise she didn't have much reason to think of anyone around her as a friend and was never given much to think differently. This was especially true when she was being accused of things far from her control and questioned as though she were someone deceptive and quick to do wrong by those around her. She couldn't be sure what Kira was even trying to talk about when mentioning 'evil gods', but if there was one thing that she did know above all else was that she had seen evil in the most drastic and terrible sense of the word, and in that moment there was nothing to validate such a suggestion. If anything, the most evil thing in that moment was Kira whom had now became antagonizing and accusatory, and Emiri didn't take lightly to that at all. Even in the fields the day before, where she had been much less aggressive, Emiri found it hard to say that she could like Kira with her impulsive behavior and quick to judge disposition, and this was only adding to a negative opinion about the girl.
The male on the other hand, who seemed to know Kira on a better level than Emiri did, didn't seem as aggressive or quick to draw conclusions as the red head, but Emiri still couldn't make too positive of an opinion on him either. He was kind in asking if she was alright, and wondering about her Pokemon too whom had come from the storm above, but he was inquisitive and asked more questions than Emiri was willing to answer and that didn't give her any confidence in wanting to be around him just as much. He was talking about stories, and following the storm, and when she mentioned the camera the first time he was quick to regard it as though he had the intent to use the pictures, whatever they might show. Emiri had done well to avoid reporters or people who intended on getting answers for things that happened in the world, but that didn't mean that she wasn't familiar with what those people could be like. Emiri had answers to questions that people didn't even know to ask with the things she had seen and the scenarios she had encountered over the years in her travels, and she was never keen on sharing anything. The things she'd been through should not be recounted or retold and made to be shared, and the fact that she could even consider that he had that kind of intention made her just as uneasy as Kira's accusations did.
Still trying to sort through her many thoughts and figure out how she was supposed to handle the situation knowing that she needed to take care of the camera that Kira had, Emiri's Pokemon stood behind her still and made sure that nothing more than foul words were going to come from the confrontation. Charizard and Azuran both eyed the Lucario who had seemed to cause the red haired human's drastic change in disposition again, recalling the steel type from the day before. She hadn't been very active in trying to stop what they could assume where teammates from making a mistake in attacking either what wasn't an enemy or each other, and was hardly making many efforts in this encounter now. The steel type was less hostile than the two flying types the girl harbored with her, but that didn't make the Lucario any less of a problem, just like her human, and the older male.
"Hey, so can we drop these humans? I'm still not fine, I'm not staying like this, so we need to go find that witch," Lynno squawked from his perch on Emiri's arm, turning his head and glancing at his teammates that stood behind or on either side of her, but before any of them could make any comment in return, the older male spoke up, though to no one in particular and made to take out a Pokeball. Emiri's Pokemon growled at the intent that a bodyguard was going to be some kind of defensive Pokemon that was meant to drive them away or some such, and Emiri too was rather confused by the turn in the conversation that was again ignoring her request for the camera, but they all watched as the male opened the ball to reveal a small red light, and an even smaller brown bear. A Teddiursa now stood in front of them, sucking on its paw and looking up around them as the male put the Pokeball away, clearly having not made any kind of mistake in releasing the small bear.
"What is that," Lynno leered, looking down from Emiri's arm, but at the sound of his voice the bear turned and its wide eyes focused on the Pokemon behind Emiri, and spoke to them in a small, young voice.
"It's a child...," Charizard commented, much less aggressive now in her tone because of how utterly confused she was, just as the rest of her teammates were. Emiri looked down and watched the small bear waddle past her and towards Salamence who looked down from his height, taken aback by being approached by the young normal type.
"Guys," he asked, wondering just what he was supposed to do, and the bear spoke then, showing his small teeth in just one moment that he took his paw away from his mouth, calling him scary, but not actually sounding like he was scared?
"What was he doing letting out this Teddiursa," Hantu questioned in a grumble, leaning towards Charizard and Azuran whom only stared down at the small bear, though the human Kira tried to take a tentative step towards the bear she called Teddy, as though she thought that they were going to hurt him somehow?
"We get yelled at and now we're made out to be the bad guy," Salamence glowered, glancing from the red headed human though back down to the small bear.
"Emiri, how about some help here...," Salamence asked, lifting a clawed leg as he glanced back down to the Teddiursa.
"Go on kid, go back to your trainer," he mentioned, in an attempt to make the normal type go back towards the older male, really not wanting anything to do with the kid, not when they were all supposed to be focused on other things like the witch, or the two humans that were still confronting Emiri. The male started to talk again about the camera and how the focus was mainly on the storm, but when he made a mention of footage, that caught Emiri's attention. The camera that she had seen Kira holding was a camera for taking pictures it looked like, not something like a video camera. Was there another camera that they had with them, something that took video and she needed to be concerned about too? But he went on still to talk about the media and news that would want to cover the storm in the sky, and she wasn't too concerned. There had been countless times that Emiri and her Pokemon could have very likely been a part of some news story there or an interview here, but nothing came of a lot of the conflicts that they faced, or at least that she was aware of. When Salamence set fire to the western side of Mt. Moon in Kanto, no one came to see what was the matter or came to make some news story out of it. When part of the caverns of the National Park Mt. Chimney were blown up, no authorities showed up, and she certainly didn't hear any talk about it. Even through each peril she faced, whether it be the cave in in Mt. Mortar, the fossils in Pewter City, or the glitch under the casino there in Celedon City, news reporters and other miscellaneous people never showed up while she was there. She always felt like she had time to remove herself from the area, and never mind that she was unassuming herself as just a young girl, she never drew that much attention to herself in any case. If anyone were to show up, Emiri wasn't concerned that they would seek her out, they would be concerned with the weather event that had taken place in the sky and what might have caused it. Her only concern still was the cameras that the male was talking about and that he said he saw them coming down from the air. Not everyone paid attention, not everyone cared to despite how keen he was on describing the severity of the event that had taken place, but Lynno didn't seem to be much in the mood for any press release on his fight with a witch.
"Then let's just get out of here? These humans are wasting our time," Lynno sneered, not concerned really for their cameras or what content they might contain. It was unrealistic to think that they had never appeared in one single shred of video tape or otherwise, but they never got found for anything or detained for questioning or something of the sort, so he really wasn't concerned about two humans and their stupid technology.
"Emiri, maybe we should go...? I think the baby is starting to wake up...," Nimbus spoke aloud, trying to get the girl's attention in regards to the infant Pokemon that was starting to stir on the edge of his tail. Emiri started to think of the best course of action, knowing that maybe it was time for them to move from the area if the male was so certain that other people would be looking for anything and everything about the storm that had emerged in the sky above the city. They also needed to think of a plan of action to help Lynno in his state, take some time to recoup, and it did seem like the baby was starting to wake up as Emiri glanced back to Nimbus' tail.
"But what about their cameras...," she questioned, glancing to the male and Kira, slightly affronted, and maybe even threatened that they might have some kind of documentation on her and her Pokemon being a part of what had happened in the air, but Azuran came closer to Emiri from behind her, leaning on the shoulders of his wings as he lowered his head down to her.
"It might be for the best that we move on. We can't hide from everything, but standing here is only going to take more time from things," Azuran commented, not liking the situation any more than she did, but they couldn't wait around and get caught by any humans trying to get information. Emiri struggled to accept this, but held Lynno close to her body still as she turned to look at her Pokemon. She knew that they needed a safe place for the moment to at least gather their thoughts and figure out their next move, and to take care of the baby. If they weren't trying to draw any attention to themselves, a numbers game wasn't the best option as she glanced to her few flying companions. Flix was young and probably tired from the flight from the west, and Charizard was still recovering and probably needed to rest after the rigorous flight they went through.
"Ok... We'll work things out here in a little bit," Emiri complied, taking out a few Pokeballs and her Pokemon understood. She returned Charizard, Hantu, Salamence, and Flix to their pokeballs, leaving Nimbus and the baby, Lynno on her arm, and Azuran for now, but Emiri turned to the fossil who still leaned in beside her.
"See if you can find anything, okay? Maybe the ghost didn't go far. We'll be at the park," she offered in a quiet tone, hoping that maybe Azuran might be able to find something that could lead them to the witch to help Lynno.
"Yeah, you better come back with something. Preferably her rags in shreds," Lynno sneered. Azuran didn't pay Lynno any mind, but understood Emiri's mention of the park for him to come find her later. It would have been the same park that he had decided to leave her from that year ago when Charizard had been stolen, and while those were bitter memories to think about, it was a safe place that he knew they could go. Without much word, Azuran lifted his head from Emiri and opened his enormous wings, lifting from the ground with each flap before he began to rise into the air. It wasn't long before he started to rise above the buildings that surrounded them and was catching more air under his wings with the open air space, and he moved past a sky scr down the street before disappearing from view. With that, Emiri turned to walk through the city streets, remembering them well with her vivid memory and knowing where the park was as Nimbus turned to glance back to the two humans.
"Uhm... It was nice to see you again...," he offered, though it was more of a question, and he didn't sound very confident in saying so as he started to move after Emiri whom had let Flareon out now as her security for moving through the city. Just because she was familiar with Celedon didn't mean that she felt comfortable here, and she didn't want to take any chances of being left alone.
"Can I get his formula ready," Nimbus asked, moving towards Emiri then as the baby began to stir a bit more on the edge of his tail, a yawn coming from his stark white muzzle. Emiri lifted her arm that Lynno was perched on, and the Pidgey took the nonverbal queue to move up to her shoulder as her bag lifted into the air from her arms through Nimbus' control, and in turn she moved her arms to take the baby from his tail, holding him against her chest then.
