  One step into this next environment only provides a millisecond of relief from the unrelenting heat below until the unbearable cold becomes too much. Nothing but ice and snow in a perpetual snow fall can be seen in this icy forest, the moon above reflecting the snowflakes that fall from the sky and from the trees and branches. Thousands of years ago, a troublesome Ghost type created a mirror that distorted the reflection of anything viewed within in, making it grotesque and hideous. The Ghosts and Dark types reveled in this work of mastery, and loved to carry it around the world, scaring anyone who happened to look into it. One day, a particularly troublesome Gastly thought it would be incredibly hilarious to carry the mirror up to Spear Pillar. How epic, it thought, if the legendary dragons viewed the mirror, and saw themselves as grotesque monsters! The other ghosts thought this was such a great idea, and very soon, the entire entourage was headed up Mt. Coronet. However, during the trip, one of the Haunter helping out made the mistake of looking into the mirror himself. So startled at the reflection, the Haunter dropped the mirror where it shattered in hundreds of pieces, some no larger than a grain of sand. These splinters are blown around and get into people's hearts and eyes, making their hearts frozen like blocks of ice and their eyes like the mirror itself, only seeing the bad and ugly in people and things. A particular Snorunt happened to be traveling through the mountains that day, and a shard of the mirror pierced the Ice type's heart. The world around it grew ugly and flawed, and the Snorunt shunned all others, exiling herself to the icy forests at the peak of the mountain, where her only solace is the snowfall. For not even the mirror's twisted power could distort the natural perfection of the snowflake... So entranced by the snow, the Snorunt remained, eventually evolving into a Froslass, who still guards the forest she keeps in perpetual deep freeze... The haunting forest looms with an eerie presence, its evergreen trees shrouded in a perpetual blanket of ice and snow. Blizzards rage ceaselessly, their howling winds weaving through the twisted branches, creating a symphony of ghostly whispers. The ground, hidden beneath a thick, undisturbed layer of snow, crunches underfoot, each step a reminder of the unforgiving cold. Visibility is reduced to mere feet as the swirling snowflakes obscure all but the closest objects, creating an oppressive sense of isolation. The air is frigid, biting through even the warmest clothing, turning breath into visible puffs of mist. Amidst the blinding white, shadows flicker and dance, giving the impression of unseen watchers lurking just beyond the periphery. This frozen, desolate forest is a place where time seems to stand still, and the relentless blizzards ensure that no warmth, and no respite, can ever penetrate its icy heart. The moment they stepped through the barrier from heat to cold, they all breathed a sigh of relief. Julian's overheated body was so grateful for the sudden cold that he nearly plunged head-first into a snow drift. He decided against it though, because he knew that as hot as the last place was, this floor was going to be overwhelmingly cold very quickly. He decided to play it smart, pulling the coat out of his bag that he'd stolen from the storming city filled with Electric-Type Pokemon and slipping it on.
"This is so much better!" Espeon pranced around in the snow. "Chase me." She dared Umbreon.
Umbreon was never one to ignore a challenge, so with a determined expression the Moonlight Pokemon darted after his counterpart. They ran around trees, diving into and out of piles of snow while Julian watched with a smile on his face. This was quite entertaining after all. Even Phanpy was getting into the Christmas spirit, rolling around in the snow.
Deciding to play it safer yet, Julian called out Quilava. The Fire-Type Pokemon took one look around, and said; "Nope." With that, his fires flared to life. In a matter of seconds the snow surrounding Quilava melted. Julian stayed near Quilava and his warmth. No gloves could have meant frost-bite, so he was glad he chose the Fire-Type Starter. "That's better." Quilava muttered.
"Don't be so grumpy, playing in the snow is so much fun!" Phanpy tried getting Quilava to cheer up, but the Fire-Type was having none of it. "Suit yourself." He went back to rolling around, 'drawing' figures and objects in the snow.
Then they saw that they weren't the only ones playing around in the snow. Another small, round Pokemon was rolling around too. This one Julian didn't know, but he could guess it would be an Ice-Type. They were the only ones who could survive in a place like this. He called out Noctowl, who emerged expecting a battle. He flew in a couple of circles keeping up the blood flow. One lap he used Hypnosis, the next he used Psychic. That was enough to weaken the Pokemon, and Julian tossed out a Pokeball.
The capture was successful, but he could tell that Noctowl was miserable in this snow. Julian recalled the owl and then collected his new Pokemon.

"I don't know..." Umbreon replied. The closer he got to the figure, the more he came to realize that it wasn't a person at all. It was a Pokemon; more specifically a Jynx. Now that they knew just what they were up against, Julian knew how to counter Jynx's typing. With Quilava. The Fire-Type Pokemon rushed forward, leaving Julian to deal with the cold by bundling up further into his new-yet-old jacket. Quilava immediately launched a Fire Blast attack that left a trail of melted snow in it's wake which lead to the now-unconscious Jynx.
Quilava was victorious in the battle before Jynx even realized she was under attack. Now that was power, and Julian knew that when the time came to battle Bugsy, that his Quilava would be more than ready to meet the challenge. He just had to find his way out of this place first. He tried to remember exactly what that challenge letter had demanded of him. Aside from going through these 'floors' to reach the true challenger, he couldn't remember much else. That didn't matter, however, because he was going to make it and he was going to make this idiot regret ever sending him that letter. And it was going to hurt whoever had done so. The incline grew steadily larger and larger as they all wondered just what they would be facing when the time came to battle their next Guardian. That Rhydon had been the most powerful yet, and Julian wasn't deluding himself into thinking that it would get easier. One thing was obvious though; it was going to be an Ice-Type. The Guardian was always the same species as the landscape and inhabit Pokemon. Which meant Quilava would be his go-to Pokemon for this challenge. The best thing he could do for Quilava is to keep trining and keep advancing his power.
With the drama past, Espeon went back to chasing Umbreon. "You can't catch me!" He said, diving into a large snow pile.
"Oh yes I can." Espeon plunged in after her counterpart. They dug around, one trying to avoid the other while the other hunted him down.
Phanpy had grown tired, however, and rolled over to Julian. The Trainer picked his Pokemon up and kept walking just behind Quilava. Pokedex Potion (x) Pokeball (x)

The wind picked up dangerously, howling like an angry demon. Julian could do nothing but sit down, hiding deeper under his jacket, and struggling to be as close to Quilava as possible without actually setting himself on fire. Quilava lowered his flames, so as not to hurt his Trainer, but curled up in a little ball right next to him. He drew further beneath his own hood. The Pokemon around him were no longer enjoying the snow and they wanted to go back into their Pokeballs; including Umbreon and Espeon.
Sad to see them go, but knowing it was for their own safety yet again, Julian recalled Phanpy and his Eeveelutions back into their Pokeballs. It was only him and Quilava left to brave the storm together. Hiding beneath the hood without the use of his hearing, Julian wasn't the one who noticed the ghostly figure floating past the trees near them. In the ferociously loud wind, Quilava thought he heard something out there, just past his field of vision.
Little did they all know, something didn't like them being here. Sure Julian knew there would be something here that they would have to battle, but he didn't expect it to show up this quickly. He perked his head up, just in time to be hit with a Torment attack. Enraged, Quilava jumped up to his feet. Enraged now, he launched a powerful Fire Blast attack that was large enough to destroy both trees, and hit the Pokemon hiding behind them. The fire attack detonated and sent smoke billowing up from what was left of the trees.
In retribution, Frosslass used Blizzard and the storm picked up even worse, and Julian curled up trying to bury himself in the snow. Now that Quilava knew where the enemy was, he started running forward. Electricity erupted around his body and his speed skyrocketed as he launched himself at the Ghost. Another explosion, and Frosslass was feeling the pain now. Since Quilava closed the distance betweeen them, Frosslass used Crunch and bit down savagely into the Fire-Type's shoulder. Point blank, Quilava set off a Fire Blast attack while they were literally only two feet away from one another.
The enemy fainted, the Blizzard died off in seconds, and Julian dared to look up. He hurried over to Quilava to heal him completely, collected the dropped items from Frosslass, and recalled Quilava into his Pokeball. That was when he noticed the sudden, open and shimmering doorway. Taking a deep breath, he took the plunge.

Then just like that, they were back on the snow-covered mountain. This time, the snow-fall was quite light. The Frosslass had no reason to attack Julian, so the blizzard had not been activated. Umbreon and Espeon played around in the snow for about ten minutes while Julian watched with a smile. It wasn't going to hurt to take a brief break. After all, he'd made it multiple floors in the span of about half an hour. After they had worn themselves out, Julian opened the next portal and all three walked through. He knew what he'd be faced with next.

Thomas was shocked, he had to stop and blink a few times before he could comprehend what had just happened. From intense heat to driving snow, this place was a madhouse! He was going to get whiplash from this place tossing him this way and that if he wasn't careful.
He checked his surroundings, already beginning to shiver from the cold when he encountered a wild Pokemon. It didn't attack right off the bat though, it seemed more curious about the intruder. Thomas was curious as well, he'd never seen a Pokemon that looked like an ice cream cone before. Despite his interest, he still sent out a Pokemon to do battle; Metagross stretched it's powerful arms and didn't wait for an order before he shot forward, using all four dangerous claws to slam into the cone.
The Vanillite tried to fight back, firing off more than half a dozen icicles at the tank, but it was no good. A Confusion attack sealed the deal. Thomas hurried over to Metagross, congratulating him and spraying him with enough Potion to fully heal him.

Thomas pulled his jacket tighter around himself, zipping it up in an attempt to fend off the cold. He didn't even notice the bird that had appeared. It was standing on top of Metagross as if riding a merry-go-round. "Del?" It suddenly asked, and Metagross seemed just as surprised to find out it was being invaded upon. It tried to shake the bird off, but it didn't seem phased as it reached into it's sack and pulled out a neatly wrapped Christmas present. It set the gift box down on top of Metagross' head, then flew up to a nearby tree branch.
The Trainer could only watch as the gift exploded atop Metagross. The super-computer shook it off before firing himself at the tree. His four arms, each one lined with steel-coated razor-sharp claws, made short work of the thick trunk. The tree toppled over, and Delibird went along for the ride. Both Trainer and Pokemon waited silently to find out if the enemy had survived. They had nearly called it a victory when a present came flying out of the canopy of leaves and branches, only to explode near them both. Metagross used Confusion, whipping away most of the leaves and hitting the bird with his psychic powers. TL;DR

Her white hair began to grow back out to her mid back, all as she spoke. " Got it. So we gotta survive the snow and beat the cursed Pokemon." Marilyn summed up. Ridley huffed, her breath very visible. " What ever it is, we need to find it and soon. This is just as bad as that desert." Ridley spoke as she began to carefully walk through the snow, having a hard time as her heels began to sink in the snow. " I think it's just fine here." Jessica commented with a small smile. " I agree, I think it's pretty cool." Delphine added with a grin. Ridley turned back and glared at the Pokemon. " No one asked you." Delphine didn't actually mind too much, now she was able to keep her fur dry on her legs. The winds began to really pick up suddenly until it was a full on Blizzard blasting at the group. It got to the point that Ridley, Del, Marilyn, and Greta were forced to shield their eyes from the stinging snow. " Jessica, we can't keep looking forward, lead the way." Ridley shouted over the winds. Jessica looked back and nodded, knowing that her appearance would be hard to loose even in a blizzard, her red hair whipping wildly behind her in the wind, and her deep red dress contrasting the snow. It began getting harder and harder for Ridley, Marilyn and Greta to keep up with Jessica and Amma in the snow, as they seemed to easily glide over it. " You dare enter my forest?" A woman's voice rang out from all around the group, even in the blizzard, her voice was crystal clear, with no clear source. " Aaand here we go." Greta spoke, her illusioned white hair and coat blowing frantically in the wind as if it were as real is Ridley's or Jessica's. " Your blood will run colder then mine when I'm done with you." the voice rang out once more before a beautiful Froslass floated down into view. Ridley looked up at the icy ghost, and tossed Delphine forward, who stumbled a bit in the snow. " You're up!" She called out as Amma, Greta, Marylin, and Jessica began to move in closer with Ridley. The Froslass didn't hesitate and sent a shadow ball barreling at Delphine. She was knocked backwards in the snow, but was able to keep her stance. " My turn!" She shouted as she pulled out her stick, and after a wave, a massive blast of fire whirled out of the stick and surrounded the ghost, hissing as the fire whirled around the trees, melting the snow. The ghost sent out yet another shadow ball from within the whirling flames, but Del held on and continued to blast the ghost with fire. Suddenly there was a cry of anger within the flames. " Enough!" she shouted, the flames getting blasted outwards and dying out. " You vile creatures have done enough damage." The Froslass cursed as she raised her arms, and the winds began to blast even harder. Metagross needed to be healed once more, but it came with the territory of his most powerful move. Recoil was something they were just going to have to deal with. Thankfully, he had plenty of Potions left over from his last stop at the Poke Mart. Discarding the empty Potion bottles into the snow, Metagross was ready to whoop some more butt. The only problem was, they would have to find some butt to whoop before he could. Thomas didn't touch Metagross, the steel would have to be freezing cold by now. They did, however, travel side by side through the snow. Metagross floated, making no tracks while Thomas' tracks were already being noticed by something... something that did not like him being here. It followed him further up the mountain before finally making it's move. It jumped out, growling and slashing his claws. Thomas' eyes widened in shock, before he began to chuckle. "What a cute little guy... Metagross, why don't you use Takedown so I can catch him." Metagross happily obliged, slamming into the tiny bear cub at break-neck speed. Thomas tossed out a Pokeball, watching it rattle around in the snow before it clicked shut for him. "Alright, we caught him!" Thomas excitedly hurried over to collect his new Pokemon. Naturally, Thomas made sure to heal Metagross again. TL;DR

The further Thomas made it up the mountain, the heavier the snowfall became. It grew more and more powerful with each passing step, until it was a full-blown blizzard. It was wise of him to let Metagross lead the way, blocking much of the frigid wind. Each step was stiff and slow, and every imprint his feet made in the snow were immediately filled in. He could barely see ten feet in front of him. That's when the sounds began; soft at first, then growing steadily louder. It sounded like the sad moaning of a horror movie. Thomas shuddered - this time from something other than the miniscule weather temperature. He looked around, peering through the snow. He could only see the outline of the closest trees around him. Every time Thomas turned away, or returned his attention to Metagross or the way forward, a figure would dart from one tree to another, always following the intruding Trainer who dared to enter this land. The hair on the back of his neck stood on end, and he felt a sense of foreboding all the way down to his toes. "It appears we are being followed." Thomas looked at his Pokemon, his meaning lost in translation. What he heard was; "Met, Meta." Thomas wished he had the ability of that kid they'd met - well, what seemed like ages ago - to speak to his Pokemon telepathically. That would simplify so many things, and battling would be a sure-win if he didn't have to call out his strategy for the enemy to overhear and counter it.
Despite the communication barrier between Trainer and Pokemon, it didn't take Thomas long to figure out that they weren't alone. It's hard to miss a Ghost appearing in front of you, calling out to you in a way that made your skin crawl. The Spirit held out her hand, trying to lure the Trainer closer. Thomas stood rooted to the spot, until he managed to simultaneously scream and throw out all of his Pokeballs. "Kill it!" He screamed at his Pokemon. Ralts looked utterly bewildered, she'd never imagined killing something a day in her life! The irony of the thing being dead already was lost on Thomas, he was thoroughly focused on 'I don't want to die!' Realizing her plan to lure in the Trainer and freeze him for display would no longer work, Frosslass unleashed a powerful orb of pure dark energy that hit his Lapras. She was too slow out of the water to dodge it, but she could counter with Sing. Using Psychic, she introduced mental trauma to the Guardian's mind. Realizing she'd have to up her game, she amped up the power to her Psychic. Then, the Pokemon woke up and sent another Shadow Ball - this one hitting the ground in front of Lapras which sent snow up and over her, effectively burying her. The mound of snow didn't move or shift, so Frosslass turned her attention to another threat. Noticing Ralts, a seemingly weak target, Frosslass used her control over the Blizzard to direct the frigid winds around them directly at the Psychic Pokemon. She used Disarming voice, but it didn't seem to do much as she too was buried beneath a snowy grave.
Now, who was next... who would it be? She set her sights on the Steel-Type, Scizor. In the blink of an eye, she was in front of Scizor biting down into the steel. She must have actually tapped into Supernatural powers, because if she'd simply been moving really fast then Scizor would have been able to keep up with her and see her movements. He sent out a plague of sorts to infect the ghost, struggling to keep himself from suffering the same snowy fate as his fallen comrades. He sped away using his enhanced speed, planning to regroup and speed in for a second attack. She was so focused on him that she didn't notice Metagross approaching behind her, until it was nearly too late. She glanced back at the last second. He swiped his steel claws at her - enough to leave a truck in ribbons - but it passed through thin air. Damn, she'd gone transparent! She turned the storm towards Metagross, and it held such frozen power that he was instantly frozen solid. The hunk of frozen metal fell to the ground with a heavy 'thud' that sent snow falling from nearby tree branches. They would quickly be covered again, however, and the battle would continue. So far, she'd nearly managed to single-handedly wipe out his entire team, Thomas was worried that they were in real trouble now. Only one Pokemon was left; Seel. A Shadow Ball attack nearly finished the job, but Seel hung on and tried fighting back. The Headbutt attack went right through the specter. Just when it seemed all hope was lost, the Infestation flared up, draining Frosslass of every ounce of remaining strength she had. Fading away from the battle-field, a handful of items fell to the snow.
"I think..." Seel began, breathing heavily. "...I think we got it." She had been wiped out from that intense battle, one more attack would surely have finished the entire team. Seel scooted over to where she'd seen Ralts get buried, digging through the snow. "Please be okay..." She muttered, worry showing on her face until she finally found the motionless body of Ralts. "No!" She dug her friend out, pulling her free from the snow. They had to get out of here... where was Thomas?! She looked around for their Trainer, finally managing to find him behind a tree. "Seel! Seel!" She exclaimed, and Thomas peeked out from his arms where he'd been hiding his face. Seel was here? That meant they must have done it! He jumped to his feet, running from his place of hiding to dig through the snow. Come on, come on, where were they. There! He found them, the Pokeballs he'd thrown out. He sprayed all of his Pokemon with every potion they could have needed to be healed, and then recalled everyone - even Ralts and Metagross. A portal opened not too far away. He started towards it, then noticed something buried in the snow. It had nearly been covered up by now, but he put the helmet and TM into his bag before literally diving into the portal

Being thrown through the portal, she landed face-first into the snow. This time it was Lucy's turn to help the Trainer back to her feet. She brushed the snow out of her hair and clothes, her nose already turning pink. "This is just as bad as the last place, come on!" She huffed and folded her arms over her chest, shivering. Looking around, she noted how grateful she is that it wasn't snowing heavily - just a light drift of cold flecks. "Charmeleon, come out..." She aimed a Pokeball out in front of her, and Charmeleon appeared. He blinked, looking at the snow-covered mountainside in the distance. She held her hands out near Charmeleon's tail. "Hey, Apollo..." She trailed off, trying to get his attention. When he didn't reply, she looked around for him. "Where are you?!" She called out louder, hoping against logic that he'd just wondered off. The place was testing them, that much was obvious now. First Thomas disappears, and now Apollo? This wasn't good; not one little bit.
Charmeleon started looking around for Apollo as well, but what he found instead was a Pokemon. A tiny bear that at first he thought was Teddy, but the color was wrong. He launched a Fire Blast attack, not wanting to let any wild Pokemon come near them again. It was smart, so far nearly everything wanted to kill them... or at least seriously injure them all. The Pokemon took the Fire Blast directly, and when the smoke floated up and away on the wind the bear was un-moving in the snow. The fire had melted a crater into the snow, and the Pokemon was at the bottom of the divet. TL;DR

Kira approached the edge of the concave snow formation, noting the water at the bottom surrounding the unconscious Pokemon. "Lucy..." Her teeth were chattering too much for her to speak aloud, so she used the linked connection between their minds. The Pokemon didn't need to hear any more, jumping past her down into the crater to collect the other Pokemon and get it out of there. Kira hadn't wanted the small bear cub to... well she wasn't sure if it could even get cold enough to die, but the water couldn't have helped. Knowing the Pokemon was protected from the frigid wind by the trunk of a nearby tree, Kira could peacefully turn her attention back to her own condition, and to warming her hands by the light of Charmeleon's tail-flame.
She had been separated from Thomas, and now Apollo. It wasn't a secret anymore that this place was trying to test her ability. Or maybe it just wanted her dead - the Guardians here certainly did. However, she didn't think it was the Guardians running things around here. They were nothing more than a glorified challenge. The real puppet-master was hiding, watching, toying with them all. If she was going to deal with this on her own, which she had to assume was the case now, she needed to step up her game and her training. "Ch..Charmeleon, you f..fight anyth..thing that sh..shows up." Charmeleon nodded, but he was worried for his Trainer. While it was true that he could keep her from frostbite, she was going to be cold and miserable until they got out of this damn place. They had no choice, if they wanted out then they had to beat the Guardian. The most likely place for said enemy to be was further up the mountain. Why? Because if this place really was testing them, it wasn't going to make anything easier on them.
Suddenly, another Pokemon came into sight. It was curious, the bright light and noise of the last Fire Blast attack had drawn not only this Pokemon's attention, but the attention of many others who weren't as courageous as the Snover. They weren't going to show themselves until they had a damn good reason to. Unfortunately for Kira and her team of Pokemon, the Fire Blast attack that Charmeleon whipped up and sent after Snover was enough to enrage them. "Did you see that?!" One shouted.
"Yeah, the Kid just wanted to say hi!" Shouted another. "What kind of Monsters are these?!" Mob mentality began to take over, and they were shouting over one another; only succeeding in whipping up the anger and fear and hatred even further. At this rate, it was only a matter of time before everyone crossed the line and they attacked. Kira, Lucy, and Charmeleon could hear the angry calls of Pokemon all around them, and one thing became painfully clear... they were in serious trouble. TL;DR

Just then, the wild Pokemon found the discarded and motionless body of the first Cubchoo to fall at the hands... well, the fire of Charmeleon. "No!" A second Cubchoo cried out, hugging his brother. "They need to pay..." He muttered. He rose back to his feet, and turned to face the Monsters. "You hurt my little Brother!" He yelled, and started to whip up a flurry of Powder Snow on the wind. Charmeleon was too quick, however, and saw it in enough time to counter with Fire Blast. It cut through the ice-laden wind and chased down the small bear cub. His injuries made him into a martyr. The crowd rose into a frenzy; yelling and screaming. TL;DR

When the storm of rage and anger kept building and building, it had to reach a tipping point sooner or later. The angry mob of Pokemon rushed from their hiding places in a wave; refusing to let their newest threat escape with their lives. Kira's eyes went wide, and then began to water from the freezing-cold wind. "Run!" Lucy practically shouted in Kira's mind. Not needing to be told twice, Kira and Lucy began to run. Charmeleon blindly launched a massive Fire Blast attack to cover their tracks, before he ran as well. It would have been nearly impossible for the attack to not hit something, and it just so happened to connect with a floating ice cream cone. The group wouldn't have known this, however, because they were too busy running for their very lives. They were dodging Ice-Type attacks by the skin of their teeth as they ran, barely avoiding the enemy fire. Charmeleon wasn't happy about it, but he knew that this strategic retreat was their best chance.TL;DR

One of the charging wild Pokemon broke ahead of the pack. They were all pretty small, but this one was small and fast. Much, much faster than the others. It even easily out-sped Lucy and her Trainer - jumping over the group and cutting off their escape. Before they knew it, they were surrounded on all sides by a frozen team of enemies. "I don't know what you all want..." Kira began, trying to reason with them now. "...but we just want to leave this place. I'm pretty sure you want us to leave too... so just point us towards your Guardian and we'll be on our way." They didn't seem to be having any of it, and began to close the gap between them. If they were going to make it out of this one, they were going to have to fight tooth-and-nail for their lives. Charmeleon started the all-out war by launching a Fire Blast attack at the Pokemon that had cut them off. That gave Kira an idea. Apollo's sprint carried him through the portal, but his first step into snow brought him forward, sinking into the snow, and into a face plant. The sudden change in the air took his breath away as he went from blistering heat, to freezing temperatures. The brunette laid in shock for a moment, unable to move as the cold set in on his sweat covered body. Apollo jerked upwards and let out another loud shriek from the cold. "Gosh, he's so dramatic. It's not that cold." Squirtle commented as he pushed himself back onto his feet after the wild ride Apollo drug him through. Apollo frantically dug through his pack and pulled out his hoodie and pulled it over his head. "Okay, this is better then the last place, but it still sucks" he commented yanking his hood over his messy hair. He looked around at the trees and the snow covered ground. This was a sick and twisted change from the last level, but this was something he could do. it was just like reporting the weather, that was the easiest form of news. "I like it here. Lets stay on this one" Teddy chimed in, still laying in the snow, now doing snow angels, his thick fur perfectly suited for this weather. Apollo chuckled, and went to pull him out of the snow, knowing that when it melted into his fur he wasn't going to be happy, but was stopped by Anthony. "Apollo... Where's Kira?" he asked his trainer. Apollo stopped. It was strangely quiet... He turned back to where the portal was, and there was no trace of red hair, or a tacky green dress in sight... "Kira?" Charmeleon whipped up yet another Fire Blast attack, this time directing it towards the larger group of Pokemon. It was more of a distraction, giving the group time to turn and run. They didn't know it, but the blast did make contact with one of the Pokemon; a small Pokemon named Snover. The poor youngster didn't stand a chance against the raw power of that fire. He was sent flying away from the impact of the blast. The others were also swept up in the force, but they were only sent sprawling a bit away. They quickly righted themselves while the Snover did not, and gave chase.

Now that they were rejoined with the others; Apollo and Teddy, rather than fleeing for their lives, they were fleeing for their lives as a team. Dratini was still curled around Lucy's arms, and knew that the Pokemon chasing them would be much closer now. In order to keep up the plan of 'distract them and run', she brought down a bolt of pure lightning that struck one of the pursuing enemies. TL;DR

Apollo crossed his arms as he began to panic. Apollo knew he wouldn't be able to get through the challenges on his own. He would still be trapped back in the temple underwater if it wasn't for Lucy and Kira. He would have been stuck in the cave in, sure Chansey and Anthony would have been able to dig them out eventually, but the Dragonite would have caught up with them by then. Even with Kira being so much younger then he was, she was made to be a trainer. She was tough, she had been burned by a dragon type, and she was still fighting. Apollo wasn't made for any of this. He was a dancer with fans to cheer and pamper him, he was a reporter. He was meant to stand on live TV with a wide smile and perfect hair. He wasn't a tough trainer, he like excitement and being in on the fight, but he wasn't able to conduct or lead a fight on his own, and Apollo knew that... "We don't know that Apollo, Maybe the portal just took them to another spot in the forest because we got through faster... I can still sense Lucy's aura around, so she's here. It's just faint." Anthony explained. Apollo nodded with a deep breath. "Well that's good... But if you can try and track them Kira's injured and I'd like not to be alone." Apollo told him. "Can you sense Thomas?" Apollo questioned, but Anthony merely shook his head.
Meanwhile, Teddy was laying in the snow behind Apollo and making a snow angel. Teddy stood up and turned back to look at his little snow angel with little honey smears for arms. Teddy smiled, thinking this was perfect, he walked a few steps over and fell back to make another snow angel, a friend for the first one. Apollo began to pace back and forth as he shivered, waiting for Anthony to locate Lucy and Kira. The ghost floated with his eyes closed as he tried to use psychic and pin point the aura he could feel. "That's strange." Anthony commented under his breath as he began to rotate slowly almost like a compass as he sensed Lucy's aura over Kira's. "What is?" Apollo asked. Anthony hesitated as he stopped, looking in the direction of a large bush. "I sense them them getting closer." he explained, opening his eyes and looked to Apollo. "And fast." he added and pointed to the bush with his string. "Well that's a good thing then, right?" Apollo purposed as he began towards the bush. Apollo reached through the bush and pulled it a part to look through. Anthony couldn't speak fast enough as he was met with a charging Kira, Lucy, and Charmeleon. Apollo shrieked as she smacked into him, sending him backwards and tumbling into the snow. Apollo smiled when he saw her, but she wasn't happy to see him. She scrambled to her feet and took off running, shouting at him to do the same. Apollo grunted and frowned his brows as he got to his feet, and looked through the bushes again, and let out a scream as he saw the mob of ice types. "What did you do!?" Apollo shouted as he turned and took off running. He scooped up Squirtle, and Teddy and took off sprinting, with Anthony floating behind him. Apollo was able to catch up and sprint past Kira with his long legs, with Squirtle in one arm, and Teddy in the other, both hung on tightly through the rough ride as Apollo ran. As they ran, the snow began to grow heavy and the wings picked up but they didn't pay any mind to it, Anthony just grabbed onto Apollo's pack and held on.
It wasn't until Apollo looked back and saw the mob of Ice types stop chasing them, and begin to scatter did he slow down. "Kira wait, something's up!" he called out, but that didn't give them much time before ice began to grow in front of them, forming a large wall, forcing them to stop. "You fowl beasts dare set foot on my mountain?" A woman's voice spoke out as a froslass floated through the wall of ice. "Such ugly monsters, I can't wait to shatter you all like the rest." She spoke as he raised her arms, and the snow and winds intensified. "Ugly!?" Apollo cried out, as he set Teddy in front of him and shoved him forward. "Show her to call us ugly!" Apollo called out as he had to shield himself from the forming blizzard, as Anthony whipped wildly in the wind behind him. Before Squirtle could attack, the ghost leered into his eyes with her now glowing red eyes, and began to torment him mentally, causing him to lose focus in rage.

Kira held her arm this time as she ran, the collision with Apollo had brought all of that pain into sharp focus again. Between her pain and the horde of Pokemon chasing them all down, she could barely spare any time to warn Apollo. Thankfully 'run!' was enough for him to get the picture. Run they did, Kira angry as Apollo easily passed her with his longer legs. "Hey!" She managed to exclaim, but she wasn't really mad. She also hadn't given any thought to Apollo being any less of a Trainer than she was; to her, every honorable Pokemon Trainer was worthy of some respect. It was all about pushing forward, coming face-to-face with a challenge and finding the will with your friends to overcome it.
Kira had been looking over her shoulder as the giant wall of ice began to form, cutting off their path. If he hadn't warned them all, she might have run right into it. As it was, she still nearly ran into Apollo again. God, that would have hurt for her. When the ghost floated right through the ice, threatening their lives, Kira saw only another challenge. No longer were they fleeing for their lives - now they were fighting for them. "Charmeleon..." She was cut off when the ghost's eyes began to glow bright red, seeming to do nothing but piss the small turtle off. Charmeleon and Squirtle - two Kanto Starters stood side by side as they battled. Thankfully, Charmeleon didn't have to wait for an order. He knew just what to do. With the ghost distracted with Squirtle, Charmeleon launched a massive Fire Blast attack that flew through the air and collided with intense heat and power. "Shatter that, Casper!" She grinned. TL;DR

Squirtle was consumed with anger and hate he had never felt before. He grit his teeth as his breathing sped up, feeling the whirling anger through out his little body. He could no longer feel the blasting cold air anymore as all he could focus on was the woman's voice ringing in his head. Just a cloud of echoing voices targeting all of his insecurities, and weak points. He was almost seeing red as the area lit up with heat that almost burned against the freezing air. "Squirtle! Are you okay?" Apollo called out from behind his arms, still bracing from the freezing winds. Squirtle let out what could only be described as a growl, something that sounded odd, but very unnerving coming from the little turtle. Squirtle tucked away in his shell and began to spin, and launched himself across the area, using the ice to get him off the ground and slam himself into the ghost. Ramming his tail into the ghost. The froslass wavered in the air but then raised higher in the air and glared down at the disgusting creatures in her land. "Now, I'm going to freeze you all solid and keep you as trophies." The froslass glared. She raised her arms as the winds turned into a blizzard, but instead of just blasting them, it whirled around the group of trainers and Pokemon, as the temperature began to drastically drop. The sweat still in Apollo's hair from the previous floor began to freeze, as did the melted snow in Teddy's fur. "We have to get out!" Apollo cried out as he began to shutter violently in the cold. Anthony, who was violently whipping back and forth behind him, as he frantically tired to hold onto his pack. "I can feel the portal just outside of the blizzard. You'll have to lead the way Lucy!" the ghost called out knowing he wouldn't be able to do anything in this wind. Apollo held Teddy close to himself, and Squirtle gripped onto Apollo's pants. Apollo held onto Kira's shoulder. "Lead the way!" Demeter tried to shield her eyes the best she could as the sands struck and scratched at her skin, and she felt Loki coming up beside her, his fur blocking one side of her from the attack, but it was fruitless as the sandstorm engulfed them. They couldn't know how long it would last or if they would survive through it with that Rhydon still out there, but just as Demeter could start to feel cuts coming up on her skin from the relentless sand, she almost started to shiver as the assault disappeared, leaving soft touches on her skin, soft cold touches...
Demeter looked up with Loki beside her, and no longer were their eyes being assaulted by the brightest sun, but it was night time now, the moon high above them, peeking through clouds, snow clouds to be exact. Demeter's feet moved beneath her, only to have her shoes sink into the wet snow that now surrounded them. They were in a snowy forest, the sandstorm long gone.
"If these environments don't kill you, going mad will," Loki growled as he shook out his fur, ridding it of sand before his fur got too wet and it stuck to him instead. He had to admit, that the cold was a nice change on his fur as opposed to that insuferable heat, but he could see Demeter beside him already shivering as her breath was coming out in plumes in front of her face. No human could last long in any one of these places with the harsh conditions, and there was no telling if this snow would only get worse.
"How does anyone even have time for this? Whoever made this place seriously needs a life," Calcifer spoke, throwing his arms in the air. How anyone had the time to sit down and make this place and think about how to drive someone completely mental with switching from hot to cold or fire to water was beyond him. They needed a new hobby.
"Come on, lets just keep going," Demeter huffed, the cold stinging at the small cuts the sandstorm had given her as she held herself tighter together, trying to brace against the cold. She was trained for survival, a few years in the harsh environments around Ore would do that, but there was no way to prepare for any of this, there was no patter, no rhyme or reason.
"Calcifer, have you been paying attention to the types that we've come across," Demeter asked through gritted teeth as she started to trudge through the snow, the Cyndaquil following beside her with Loki close behind. The ghost thought for a moment at her question, holding out his fingers and counting to himself.
"Grass and bug, fire, water, electric, dragon and flying, psychic, steel, ground and rock, and now ice," Calcifer counted out, relaying each environment they had passed through thus far.
"That's twelve, twelve out of the eighteen existing types of Pokemon we know of," Loki finished, jumping onto Demeter's train of thought. If they could even slightly know what might be coming next, they could know how to better prepare for each new environment.
"And what types does that leave us with," Demeter asked, trying not to think too much if Loki and Calcifer could do it for her, she needed to focus on not freezing to death.
"Normal, fairy, poison, ghost, dark, and fighting types," Loki answered, having to think for just a moment.
"And this is... Nine, the ninth challenge that we've come across," Calcifer thought for a moment, putting the pieces together.
"Okay, so in the challenges to come, over four more environments, those are the six types left that we might have to face," Demeter finished, having since been using the process of elimination to try and plan for what may come next, knowing that this tower master couldn't hold the upper hand forever.
Demeter was starting to try and think of what kind of environments may come with these types to follow when the snow started to kick up around them, and the clouds got darker and thicker, making it almost pitch black around them save for the Cyndaquil's red flame. Demeter huddled in on herself, trying to fight her muscles spasming in the harsh cold as Calcifer and Loki both could feel something coming towards them.
"Where is it Cal, I can't see it," Loki snarled through the ice and snow, trying to stay close to Demeter so he didn't lose her in the darkness.
The Cyndaquil though was the first to find the Froslass coming at them through the ensuing blizzard as he lit up the area with fire, starting the battle against the ruthless ghost.
The battle lasted longer than Demeter thought she could handle as she struggled to stay standing next to Loki, but with a shrill shriek of anger from the Froslass, the blizzard consumed them, and they were left in darkness. Lucero | Lv. 29 | HP 230 | Ability: Blaze | Holding: Quick Claw

Returning Osilvey to his ball for a job well done and to make sure he didn't lose the water skipper, Finn tried to step in closer to Verasi and Archimedes who were weathering the storm with him. He could already being to feel cuts appearing on his already sandy tan skin as the sand and pebbles struck at him with the intense winds of the storm, and he turned his back against the wind trying to urge Archimedes and Verasi to do the same to save their eyes and faces from the storm. In just moments though, Finn felt a sudden shift around him that caused him to stiffen at the new sensation around him, the sudden feeling of cold around him and the realization that they were no longer in the middle of a sandstorm. Instead, snow fell around them in heavy drifts as the same wind from the sandstorm continued, and trees came up in every direction they looked in through the dark of the night that had come. A blizzard in a forest in the middle of the night, just after a sandstorm in the middle of the day in an unending desert.
"This place is madness," Archimedes shouted over the growing winds, coming in closer to Finn who had started to shake against the frigid temperatures.
"We have to keep going. This is the ninth challenge, we're making some headway," Finn replied, moving towards Verasi who's paws had sunk into the snow that surrounded them as she tried to trudge through it.
"Verasi, we're going to need you again. We can't stay here for long, we need you to fend off what ever is here," Finn told her, hoping that the dragon could continue with her powerful fire to keep them moving through the environments.
"Okay Finny, I will, I promise," Verasi replied as her sharp eyes noticed movement through the trees, and a shadow ball was thrust at her through the darkness as a Froslass emerged from the trees, very clearly the challenge for this enironment, and the cause of the blizzard that was only getting stronger by the second. Verasi took an easy first hit as she used the fire she had with her to strike, and soon, but not soon enough as Finn and Archimedes were huddled together, the Froslass was subdued, but only for so long as the snow continued to swirl around them until finally they were ultimately consumed by it, just like the sandstorm.
