XXXXX Marcellus was making his way towards Liz in hopes to pull her out of the line of fire. Once he was almost within range, Julian's Arcanine ran in just before he could reach her. While Marcellus found this to be fairly rude, he knew she would be safer with the canine. He was ready to turn back when the wind suddenly stopped. Marcellus stumbled forward a bit, having been fighting the pull of his long cloak. He regained his balance just intime to witness the portals opening to reveal opponents. Marcellus didn't pay any mind to Victini, his eyes were on Lugia. If his heart wasn't racing, it definitely was now. A wash of salt water shocked him out of his fears and worries as he sloshed back to Novu, who was still teethered to him. He hoisted the Bulb out of the water, and moved as quickly as he could back to Josette before she could drown in her many skirts. Marcellus moved back to Cronus, who he was in fact concerned with both Lugia and Victini. Definitely not wanting to allign himself against the embodiment of victory. If it came to blows of course Cronus wasn't short of confidence but he wasn't wanting to have a go at Lugia and Victini on top of Hoopa. Marcellus handed the Bulbasaur off to the Mewtwo so he could hold the heavy Josette, who was about triple her normal weight in her dress. Marcellus went to reach for his bag to let out Articuno, if thats how this Legendary was going to play, he'll have articuno freeze them solid. Stop the hurricane before it's started. However he had stopped himself. Articuno would flash freeze the area, which would be bad for the group of them standing in water. Athena was out as well. "This is bad." Marcellus commented watching as the Legendaries remained airbone. Marcellus was trying to formulate a plan, despite he was sure Cronus was already far ahead. "Cronus protect the hotel, I'm not sticking around if they try to stop us for damages or hurting one of the guests." Marcellus called, out as he rose into the air. Cronus knew better then to leave Marcellus unprotected. If he had gotten hurt, no one would hear the end of it.

XXXXXWith Cronus protecting the hotel from any further damage, Marcellus turned his attention to the task at hand. Victini seemed to have chosen Liz as it's target, however Hoopa seemed to have been familiar with the blonde, while she was hiding behind her snorelax. Marcellus left Lugia to Julian, he knew he could take it on. Zekrom could hadn't itself, and hopefully not electrocute them in the process. Marcellus wanted to assist in battling Hoopa, and taking out the source of the problem. Belle was protecting Liz like a champ from debris. He knew she was not to be triffled with, probably Liz's strongest Pokemon physically. That got his mind thinking. Josette was still to small to go after that legendary, and he was too concerned to send anyone that couldn't meneuver out of the way of a portal. He reached into his pack and let out Inanna. She seemed to flex in different directions to see what was happening, and fell backwards into the ocean water. "Ugh! It's been so long! The sea feels so good!"She exclaimed as she soaked in all of the ocean water she could. She stood up after getting her fill and looked to Marcellus for the plan. It seemed to be the routine once he needed her. "I need you to get Belle up to that thing, so you can attack it together." Marcellus told her, her gem gleamed for a moment in excitement as she cartwheeled through the water towards the Tsarenna. She didn't dare get too close before speaking."Need a lift?" She offered, then lifted out of the water and turned horizontal, her gem facing down offering to let Belle hop on. Once she did, the Starmie wavered slightly adjusting for the, clearly petite, weight, and off they went skyward. The Starmie make sure not to rotate in the air as she coasted smoothly. She made an effort to try and dodge the debris and other legendaries as they headed for Hoopa. She whirled around the Legendary, smoothly bobbing and weaving to avoid any portals and once she was close she turned allowing Belle to get a vantage point. Once she was off Inanna whirled around the Hoopa pelting him with ice and water. She kept her mind on Belle to whirl down and catch her combo partner if needed.

Jirachi blinked at the chaos going on around her and looked back to Hoopa. She didn't think any of this was right, but she also didn't want to be teleported to the middle of an active volcano for disobeying. Noticing Victini take up the call to arms, Jirachi decided that it wasn't too much to ask. Battles could be fun after all. "Fine, I'll battle her." She said, pointing at Katie. That rotund Snorlax looked like it would be a fun opponent. Their size difference was immense, but that didn't seem to deter her.

Hoopa roared with laughter as his team joined the fray. That is, until he came face-to-face with a couple daring Pokemon bringing the battle to him. They were floating around him. He tried to swat them out of the air with hovering, separated arms. He was larger, and seemed to move more slowly than the smaller insects bothering him. "Go away!" Hoopa roared, distracting the hovering star with swatting hands while sneaking up behind it with a floating hoop. If allowed to catch the Pokemon off guard, the hoop would close over it and take it to the bottom of the nearest ocean.

Jirachi was planning on charging Snorlax, but was caught off guard by an arrow flying right at - and then through - her body. "What?"Jirachi gasped at the unusual sensation. "What was that?" With a new target, Jirachi floated over to Decidueye and used Zen Headbutt. It might have been enough to stun an enemy but Decidueye fell backwards onto the ground, firing off a second arrow on the descent. Jirachi was out like a light before either of them could hit the ground.

Decidueye got up and brushed the dirt off with massive feathered wings. "Good job." Katie told her Pokemon, feeling a rush of affection for her owl. Such a short time and Decidueye had come so far, evolving from a Rowlet less than an hour ago. She threw out a Pokball to capture the unconscious Pokemon. She looked around at the other Trainers absorbed in their own battles and knew she would need to get them all working together to bring down her out-of-control Hoopa. She couldn't do that just yet, though. They would have to prove themselves against their enemies.

Belle looked at Inanna sharply when approached by the Starmie, ready to tell the levitating Water Type to buzz off. "...If you drop me, I'll kick you all the way back to the ocean." It was the closest to a "yes" Inanna could expect from such an aggressive creature, but she was careful as she hopped onto the Starmie's back. She crouched as they flew, trying to be as conductive to Inanna's aerodynamics as possible for a long-leafed berry with a wide flower for a skirt. When Inanna began to sling ice and water, Belle leaped from her back, Trop Kicking at the nearest of Hoopa's floating hands that she could reach. She was at a disadvantage in the air as she had to rely on Inanna's connection and Hoopa making mistakes to remain up here with them. If she could count on Hoopa trying to swat her down Belle used the opportunity to kick off of his hands whenever possible to keep herself airborne and reduce Inanna's need to catch her as often.

Leah's fight with Victini was not an easy one. She focused on the burning sprite even as it used a simple trick to attack her using Arcanine as cover. Rather than retaliate immediately, Leah turned her attention inward and focused her power. A quick dash and quickly Victini was surrounded by images of the Absol trying to throw him off from her true position. "Oh, right, like I've never seen this before!" Victini cackled, but paused in its attacks to focus as well. Victini's body began to glow as a shimmer of light twinkled in the center of its chest. Leah glowered at Victini after it opened its eyes, staring the Psychic down and making it tremble. "Ooh! Scary!" Cried the sprite, though the reaction was short-lived as it smirked. "Now I gotcha! Let's go!" Victini shouted as Leah realized a mistake in her use of Leer and the Victory spirit lurched toward her. Flames erupted around its body and Victini impacted Leah with as much force as it could muster in a single blow. Leah was knocked down but not knocked out, recovering quickly enough to punish Victini for getting too close! Victini cried out in pain as Leah's fangs bit into its small body. The two broke away with Victini preparing another Flame Charge. Leah vanished into her group of copies briefly, causing the Victory Pokemon to hesitate as it lost track of her. Leah lunged out of the line, smashing headfirst into Victini from the side and sending the Pokemon reeling.

Rather than black out, Victini recovered mid spin and laughed loudly. "Wow! You're good! Really good! I thought for sure I was gonna get you with that last move!" It clapped at them while Liz let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. It was held again preceded by a sharp "Eep!" when Victini levitated directly in front of the red-haired girl. It grinned and gave her a pat on the head. Humans had a habit of petting Victini, so it was just accepted as a form of affection between humans and Pokemon. "Well? Come on. Your friend won! I'm not gonna wait here forever!" Called out the sprite in her mind. Liz had to process that she was being told to capture the Pokemon in front of her...by the Pokemon in front of her! Spike had come out with Liz's bag after deciding he wasn't going to get very far with the Archduchess abandoning him. He anticipated something interesting getting her attention...he stared in mute disbelief at the Mythical Pokemon that had decided his Trainer was worthy of their attention. Nervous clicks brought Liz's attention back to the real world. She broke eye contact and rifled through her bag quickly. "Uhh...oh! Mm...I hope this one's OK." She muttered to herself, taking an Ultra Ball out of her bag and staring at Victini. How did you approach catching a Pokemon that was apparently super special? "I...uhh...here?" She touched the button, expanding the Ultra Ball. Then she reached out one hand, pressing Victini's clawed fingertip against it next as it reached out. The ball shook in her hand after consuming the Spirit of Victory, leaving Liz more than a bit confused about where to go from here.

Without much else to say or do, Liz turned back toward her friends and raised her newly occupied Ultra Ball. "Uhh...I caught one?" She offered meekly, pointing to her ball. She couldn't show the excitement she had because she was still interpreting the data she had. Victini was hers. The Unovan Spirit of Victory was under the control of a moody teenager from Johto. At least this made up for the fact her new dress was ruined by the salt water. This was not what she wanted to do with her evening! At least now she had a Mythic Pokemon to show for her night. And the diamond Pokemon she had claimed!

XXXXX Inanna hovered as the Tsarenna seemed to catch on pretty quickly and make her way over, threating her as she hopped on. Inanna wavered for a moment as she adjusted to the new petite weight from Belle. Like a top almost, but once she was adjusted, she was ready for takeoff. "I don't have hands to hold you, so you don't let go." she warned. It wasn't a threat or a retort, she knew they were about to be soaring through the air, and she didn't want Belle to expect Inanna to hold onto her. Yes, she did have psychic abilities to stop her but her concentration was going to be the beast in front of them. The Starmie had to keep her focus on staying airborne, but also attacking and watching for Hoopa who will attack. The Tsarenna jumped from her and began her assault. As she did Starmie stopped shooting ice spikes at Hoopa in fear of hitting Belle, and began to really frisbee around the legendary. She rammed her points into him the best she could as she avoided its many arms, and portals. If Inanna could keep its focus maybe Belle could continue her assault. She continued to spin around Hoopa's head, but the portals began to keep up with her. She went from attacking Hoopa to dodging and running from its portals. She would be able to whirl around and slow to allow Belle to spring off of her one or two times, but the portals opening was too fast. Just as she spun around Hoopa to dodge one, a portal opened up catching her side ways as she flew in it sideways with a splash which closed behind her before she could fly back out."She's gone!!" A wet Josette shrieked in fear. Josette covered her wide eyes with her nubby hands and kicked her feet under her deflated skirts. Marcellus snapped his head to look back at Cronus with wide eyes. Marcellus knew that Inanna wasn't able to really teleport like Cronus could. Luckily for them it was Inanna from the looks of it the portal took her under water. Marcellus was afraid they lost her, sure he believes Cronus could locate her but he didn't know where exactly Hoopa had sent her, or if she could survive there."She's fine. Starmie dwell in the deep ocean. One moment." Cronus said as calmly as he could, but the seriousness in his voice made it clear he was starting to be pulled too thin. Cronus was still hovering in the air, as he held out a hand and Inanna reappeared, having been teleported back. She was wet but okay, still in motion. She spun forward as another portal opened sending her back to the depths. Cronus teleported her back again as Inanna appeared, the sudden changes in her location confusing her as her momentum made her continue forward. As she appeared another portal opened knocking her back to the bottom of the ocean. Cronus sneered, his nose wrinkling as he teleported her back but held her still psychically. The Starmie's gem was flashing brightly as an SOS. "Stop it!! Stop Teleporting Me!" The Starmie yelled out, demanded to remain. anger and desperation clear in her psychically produced voice. The pressure of the deep sea having taken its toll going form high to low pressure so quickly. Once she caught her bearing, she whirled around to catch Belle and be a jumping point but her attacks had ceased.

XXXXXWith that scare over, having Inanna back it seemed, Marcellus looked back to Liz, making sure not to leave her hanging if she needed help. Just in time to see a red flash. Marcellus moved closer to her with a confused look until she stated she had caught one. His expression turned to surprise. "You... You caught Victini?"Marcellus asked her, it wasn't that the idea of her catching it was a bad thing, or that he couldn't believe she had. It was just the idea of someone, Liz of all people, had caught the Victory sprite. It was surprising to Marcellus. He didn't know a lot about the legendary but he knew it was correlated with victory.

With Arcanine standing between Liz and Hoopa, Julian now felt that he could focus on some of the other threats around the courtyard. He took mental note of the Legendaries brought into battle and which had already claimed an Opponent, and he knew what was left. Lugia, the gigantic Guardian of the Sea. He was about to send out Zekrom to counter the Legendary; but before he could, his Persian raced into the danger zone. It leapt over one of Lugia's wings, turning in mid-air and using a Thunder attack.

The lightning came crashing from the sky, which meant Lugia's Aeroblast attack could not divert it. Unfortunately Persian did get hit by the attack. The good news for Julian was that now Lugia had it's back to him. He started digging around in his bag for a Pokeball. Persian brought off a pair of Thunder attacks without any retaliation. Lugia had been paralyzed, you see. With the Legendary unable to move, Julian threw out a Pokeball, bouncing it off of Lugia's back. The Pokeball fell to the ground and bounced into a puddle of water where it floated.

Three times it bobbed in the water before settling. Persian picked it up in her mouth and raced back cross the battlefield to drop it into Julian's hand. He pocketed the Pokeball and looked around to see how the others were faring. So far, most of them had already defeated their Legendary Pokemon. The only thing left was Hoopa.

Hoopa was very much enjoying playing with the little star, and did not mind in the slightest that the Mewtwo kept returning her. It just meant he got to do so again and again and gain until it popped. While the portals kept toying with the enemy Pokemon, Hoopa's arms kept trying to swat the tropical Grass-Type out of the air. Unfortunately it was a little too fast, and acted much like an annoying fly that kept just out of reach. "Stay still so hoopa can smack you!" He thundered.

Little did Katie know that the others were doing perfectly well at keeping the other Legendaries at bay, and had even managed to capture them. She could not afford to look around and divert her attention. She brought Jirachi out of it's Pokeball and while the rest of her Pokemon distracted Hoopa she had a conversation with the sprite. "I need you to keep the star from being teleported so that Mewtwo can focus it's attention on the battle." Jirachi nodded, and started using it's psychic abilities to block the portals from sweeping over Inanna.

Then she got up onto the busted up fountain. "Everyone focus an attack on Hoopa! If we can't weaken him, we can't get through to him!" She shouted over the noise of battle. "I need to get through to him somehow..." She muttered to herself now, thinking. The bottle. That must be able to contain some of this power, right? She raced over to Mewtwo. "Can you repair the bottle thing there?" She asked, pointing it out. She hoped that now Mewtwo was able to focus on less, that he would be able to help.

Liz smiled slightly as she looked at Victini's Ultra Ball, holding it to her chest. She was aware she had something special, but she just couldn't wrap her head around the gravity of her capture. This thing was hers now...it chose her! She looked from the ball to Cronus, who was being approached by another trainer. She could blame Cronus for her failure to grasp the nature of having a Mythic Pokemon basically for a pet. It was his fault he made it seem like it wasn't a big deal. "Y-yep. I caught it." She stammered, turning her attention to Marcellus. Victini was in a Pokeball. She was holding something like Cronus. This was hers.
Wait, what was going on? Liz regained her sense as she realized that Cronus was being asked to do something. She had called earlier for everyone to take a shot at Hoopa. Who was Hoopa? The thing making all this craziness happen? Well, he did also make Victini happen. Was that really so bad? Liz knelt down finally to hug her Absol who was still nursing some minor injuries. "That was a very good job, Leah. Let's put you back in your ball. Have a rest." She murmured to her Absol. Even if Leah wasn't hurt, she wasn't going to be much help against a flying Pokemon like Hoopa. Better to tuck her Absol away where it was safe. She popped two balls out, releasing her Seel and Electabuzz to join the line-up instead. Her Honedge removed itself from her back and floated toward Katie. He placed his tassel on the woman's arm, communicating feelings through the connection. Maybe Honedge wouldn't accomplish much in the long run but it still gave Katie the impression that it had a plan if she could coordinate the others into distracting Hoopa. He still knew Destiny Bond and could bring Hoopa down if he could get close enough to touch the Legendary Pokemon. "If you can keep Hoopa distracted, I can Destiny Bond him. Then have someone hit me with their strongest attack." Nagi said to Cronus, hoping the Mewtwo had just the move or Pokemon in mind to take out Nagi should he succeed. Liz, meanwhile, was getting the rest of her Pokemon in on the party and trying to hit Hoopa with everything they could. "Atlas! Hit that thing with Shockwave! Gus, use Ice Beam! Spike, Poison Sting! Princess, hit it with Ember!" Liz called out to her Pokemon, looking around as she once more realized she'd lost track of her Tsareena. "Belle! Use Ma--Belle? Belle!"

Only after she had already found her way up to the battle on her own had Liz figured out her Tsareena had, once more, run off to do her own thing. Belle kicked off of one of Hoopa's swiping hands so she could deliver a harder strike to the one she was aiming for. "I'll hold still when you knock all this off!" She shouted back at him. The Tsareena flipped backward from her attack and aimed to kick the next hand coming her way straight down. "Belle!" Oh, for the love of-- "WHAT DO YOU WANT!?" The Tsareena knew her trainer couldn't understand her but still she yelled. She was a little busy trying not to get swatted like a Cutiefly up here! The shouted response was enough for the redhead to take it as a reply. "Belle! Use Magical Leaf!" She cupped her hands to call out to her Tsareena even with Cronus and other Psychic Types that could have just as easily relayed her order. Hey, that might actually help. Belle did her best to level out her position, moving her arms as leaves came free of her body or materialized from thin air, forming a corona of shining leaves. She let out her breath and showered Hoopa with these leaves while Liz's other Pokemon began to attack Hoopa lined up in front of their trainer. Hopefully with others coming to add to the damage. The drawback Belle had not prepared for was that using Magical Leaf had killed her momentum. The Tsareena began to fall now without a way to protect herself from Hoopa's floating hands.

XXXXX Marcellus was beside himself as he looked at Liz. She had captured the embodiment of victory. Theoretically speaking, used just right you could never lose. Marcellus glanced down at the Pokeball in her hand as she hesitantly admitted she had indeed caught it. Why hadn't he battled it for her? Why hadn't he had taken it when he had the chance. If he had gotten Victini teamed up with Cronus he could accomplish anything he wanted. He was upset that Liz had caught it first, but also frustrated in himself for not jumping to catch it himself. "Do... You know who you just caught?" Marcellus questioned her with wide eyes filled with surprise but also want. The battle and struggle around him wasn't important to him anymore, the legendary was what he wanted. However, what shook him back to the dangerous reality was the booming voice of Hoopa. He looked up at the booming voice that had been wanting to hit Belle. "Let's talk later!" He added as they parted for their Pokemon. Victini would do him no good if they were defeated by this beast. Marcellus was pretty confident they were going to defeat it pretty easily. He had guessed right about Julian, he needed no help in defeating the Lugia, however he too had captured the Legendary. Julian seemed to have one too many Legendries for Marcellus's tastes. Marcellus wasn't star struck by the idea of being near or with a Legendary for just being legendries. Of course, he respected them, but he wouldn't purposefully search for one just to have one... But if there was one right in front of him, he would be more than happy to shoot his shot at having them. However, he had missed his chance tonight for Victini and Lugia. He was too slow to draw, this was frustrating to him. But he couldn't wallow in his frustration, he needed to work on defeating the beast. Marcellus returned to Josette and Novu who had been more on the defensive if anything, while Inanna was still airborne who was now making a big effort to keep away from portals. With Lugia out of the way, that left Hoopa the only target left. The blonde female that had been helping in the investigation called for attacks. He looked up to Cronus and actually found him near the blonde. So, he had been planning something already. "Well, let's hit him with everything we've got."He told his Pokémon. "Inanna blast him with Hydro pump" Marcellus called out to his airborne Starmie. She began to spin again and started to unleash a torrent of water. In her flurry of portals and self-preservation, she had lost sight of Belle. "Josette, use Blizzard to freeze her water."He told the elegant Smoochum, who nodded and flitted forward and began unleashing freezing winds to freeze the blasting water. He turned to his Bulbasaur, Had Hoopa been on the ground it would have been much better and Novu could have tried to use earthquake to shake the legendary off his feet, instead he would have to just add to the firing squad. "Alright Novu, shoot as many energy balls as you can at him." Marcellus called out, stepping back to allow his Pokemon to enter the fray.

XXXXXMewtwo had been working hard to keep the Hotel protected, sensing the Baron was still in the hotel. If anything happened to him, they would be in the hot water. But also, he had to keep the humans safe alongside his team. Alongst everything else he was doing psychically; he was pulled thin and kept himself on the back burner as more of a safety measure rather than a participant. He felt a familiar protective force overtake Inanna. It wasn't familiar in the sense of he had met them, but familiar in the sense that he recognized it as legendary energy. He traced it back to the Jirachi, seeing that it was protecting his teammate. He would have to think it after the battle was over. The Psychic was happy to see that Julian had taken care of Lugia, while Liz took care of Victini. He was surprised they had been caught, but he was glad that they were strong enough to deal with it and he didn't have to step in. He felt a mindset directed at himself as the blonde trainer, Katie she preferred, ran over to him. He lowered himself to the ground to meet her, he was a little caught off guard that she was aware of who he was, but he knew it wasn't unheard of to hear the tales of a Mewtwo thanks to his overzealous siblings. It didn't take long for him to realize Hoopa was her fault, at least she was in control of him, at least she wished. That being said, he didn't have to venture into her mind to get a feel for her personality, she was a kind person. Someone that meant well, someone that wanted to do good. These minds and energies Cronus enjoyed being around. Now wasn't the time however, she asked if he were able to repair the relic she was holding. "Hm." He replied as he looked closer with his brows frowned. He could tell it was old, very old. With strange energy, maybe even magic, woven into the pottery. Magic was something that was tricky to the psychic, it wasn't straight forward like psychic energies, magic seemed to be more chaotic for him. "I believe so. The dark energy it has won't make it easy." Cronus replied without taking his eyes off of the pieces. He wasn't worried about fixing the pot, that was easy. The part he was unsure about was fixing it's abilities and power he could feel. He waved his balled hands over the pot in a swift circular motion. The pieces twisted in her hands as they began forming back together. He continued to circle his hands over the bottle to make sure it's formed. The cracks that were left began to glow as Cronus psychically fused them back together. "The energy seems to still be tied to the bottle, so it should still work on Hoopa." Cronus informed the blonde. He looked about the battling area seeing that others were joining in against Hoopa, so he was ready to help knock the legendary out before it brough in Yveltal or Giratina, Arceus forbid. Cronus was about to rise back and enter the battle when a voice caught his attention. Cronus looked to where Liz was and saw the sword Pokemon. He disappeared from where he was standing with Katie and reappeared in front of the sword. The Honedge wanted to use destiny bond on the legendary and take a fall for the team. Cronus was surprised by the idea, causing him to hesitate. He hadn't expected someone to volunteer to take an attack meant to knock them out. The Mewtwo's red eyes flicked to Hoopa and back quickly. "That should work, that is a clever idea." Cronus complimented him. The Mewtwo figured if he was volunteering to take his own strongest attack, he was willing to bare the strike. Cronus nodded as he looked up to the legendary. "I'll get its attention." He spoke confidentially as he rose back into the air so that he would be level with the beast.

XXXXXCronus had left the protection detail up to Jirachi as he pulled most of his attention to Hoopa. "Hoopa. Enough." Cronus called out, using is psychic abilities to amplify his deep voice to match Hoopa's. He threw out his arms, as psychic fields began to forcibly crush all the portals Hoopa had created. Cronus might not be able to manipulate the portals due to it being a dark type, but he was still able to crush them. "You have caused enough damage. I am going to put a stop to it." He spoke, crushing every portal as it formed and being sure to deflect any attack thrown his way. Cronus began to form a large ball of energy, creating a shadow ball, and continued to let it grow in his arms. For added effect, he used his psychic energy in the attack to cause the ball to warp and flicker. Making it appear as though it was no mere Shadow Ball. "Your time here on earth is over; you should have remained in your bottle." Cronus threatened, he had to be the biggest threat in the area to draw the fellow Legendary's attention, and he was willing to put on a show. He hopped he had been giving the sword enough time to prick the legendary. He aimed his attack at the Legendary with both arms, hesitating just a second. "Goodbye Hoopa." He wasn't sure if Nagi had informed the humans or not of the plan, but Cronus didn't take the time to let in the humans in on the plan. It might make it more believable.

Julian did not even have the time necessary to process that he'd captured Lugia, Guardian of the Seas. Two Legendaries were now on his team and he had to make himself focus on the present threat, just like the others. He did not hear Katie's plea for everyone to attack her own Pokemon, but he got the idea when everyone else started to do so. Very well. He could do that. His own Pokemon were looking to him for instruction. He nodded, and that was all the guidance they needed to follow suit.

Typhlosion and Arcanine used powerful Fire-Type attacks. Persian used Thunder, bringing powerful lightning bolts crashing down from the sky. Finally, Noctowl used Moonblast. All of these attacks hit about the same moment.. or at least they would have. Julian was hoping not to have to bring either of his Legendaries out into battle. He had a feeling that they would change the dynamic for the worse if they got out and started attacking everything in sight again.

Half of Hoopa's portals had now been forcibly closed, but he was still putting up a valiant fight. As far as he was concerned, he was the most powerful creature around. Not even these tiny Pokemon working together seemed to be enough. That was, until they all attacked at once. He felt a small cut from behind, but paid the bee sting little mind. There were more pressing issues. The remaining portals opened up to absorb most of them, but Hoopa's attention was distracted by the other Legendary. "Hoopa is strongest there is!" He roared, opening new portals - all aimed at Cronus.

If everything went according to plan, Cronus would be too preoccupied by the Shadow Ball attack to properly defend against the deflected Fire Blast, frozen Hydro Pump, Magical Leaf, and Spirit Shackle attacks. Everything else hit Hoopa, and the Destiny Bond finished off the job. The moment the sword took the attack Hooopa believed was meant for him, Hoopa roared in agony as whatever force swept over him sapped him of all his strength. "NOOOOO!" His voice and rage shook the ground.

Katie raised the dress enough for her to run across the battle field, avoiding the obstacles from Hoopa's junkyard. "Hoopa, listen to me! It's okay! You should just relax. Everything is fine." She didn't want to have to do what she had to do, so she was hesitating. She wanted the Legendary to come down from whatever was affecting him willingly before forcing him into it. He raised his head, peering down at her. He lifted his hand, balled it into a fist, and brought it down on top of Katie. She was out of sight due to the massive fist.

Marcellus' questions were a little concerning. Did he really think she couldn't do it? Maybe he was still as surprised as she was. The redhead missed entirely how her friend was beating himself up over failing to capture Victini for his own. "I..caught...Victini." She replied blandly. Yep. Still broken. It was going to be a long night for Liz. She hadn't taken the time to find out what moves Nagi knew, still struggling with the idea of her sword being a Pokemon too. More avoiding thinking about what that meant he was in the end. Some small part of Liz knew Nagi was Ghost Type. She could make up how it must be Psychic based on its abilities. A lie that some old fairy tales could easily prove false. Honedge was a known Ghost Pokemon and a younger Liz had heard stories of the famed sword Pokemon. It was like a myth to the child. Something she would never see in her whole life... "Good work, guys! Keep it up! Take this jerk down!"

Nagi moved quickly, sliding quickly along the ground with his sheath covering his body. Even a momentary glimmer of light could alert Hoopa! Nagi fluttered up when he was confident he had slipped by. He threw his scabbard off in desperation to enact his plan and let it fall to the ground near the fountain. He didn't wait for a signal from Cronus, though he did appreciate the big speech about ending Hoopa. That kept him focused. The sword nicked his target, charging their momentary connection with grim power. "Goodbye Hoopa." Nagi flipped up into the air beside Hoopa's head, taking Cronus' Shadow Ball without a flicker of hesitation. Hoopa's anguish was satisfying to feel resonating through his body. The shock of Shadow Ball from such a powerful Pokemon had rendered Nagi inert. The sword fell and stabbed into the ground without a sound from the mind within it. He needed time to recover before he would start interacting with others again. Hoopa still being conscious was more than the Honedge would be willing to accept once he came around. He had hoped to end the conflict entirely.

"Wait--Nagi!?" Liz had just noticed her Honedge as he took Cronus' Shadow Ball. Hoopa screamed and raged when it became clear Nagi had thrown himself into harm's way again. Liz ran over to her Sword Pokemon as he was thunking into the earth. He was going to feel that later. The redhead found his sheath on the ground and picked that up on her way, stumbling as she fell to her knees on the hard floor. "Nagi! Hey! What are you doing, you crazy sword!" She shouted at the unconscious creature. She was careful pulling him out of the ground, lifting him up and sliding the blade into its sheath. She would have to clean him up too. Katie trying to reason with her raging Legend didn't seem to be going well, and Liz cried out in shock when she saw Hoopa's massive fist coming down toward the blonde. Even knowing she couldn't move fast enough she planted her foot on the ground and rose with the intent of taking a swing at Hoopa's fist all the same. She wasn't going to get far but she was going to try!

XXXXX Marcellus couldn't do much else but watch as his Pokémon began to send flurries of attacks at the Legendary. Cronus seemed to have gotten really into the dramatics of the plan which Marcellus approved of. He seemed to be really into the act of deceiving the other legendary, if everything else wasn't going haywire Marcellus would have been fairly amused by his showmanship. But he was more concerned with his Pokémon's participation in the battle. Cronus could handle himself, if Marcellus called out for him to deviate from whatever plan he had, the mewtwo would ignore him. Marcellus wasn't part of the plan, he wasn't aware, but he had seen the sneaking Honedge, and once Cronus had directed his attack at Nagi, Marcellus figured it out. Marcellus was very impressed by the self-sacrifice of the sword, he would have never expected that coming, or really think they would be willing to do so. Marcellus had expected Cronus to handle and protect himself, so his focus was on Hoopa and their Pokémon. They seemed to have done the trick, as Hoopa went down. But he clearly was not down without a fight as Katie seemed to try and reason with the beast. Liz raced forward to try and help her, which Marcellus was fine with the blonde putting herself in danger. This was her Pokémon, she had caused the ordeal. She was confident in her actions. Cronus would never attack Marcellus, Articuno maybe but that's a different story, but the point was, Marcellus was confident in Katie's judgement. He hadn't expected the large fist that came down on top of her. Marcellus couldn't stop the gasp that escaped his mouth as he watched wide eyed at the fist. His hands quickly came up to his mouth having presumably watched someone get crushed. Josette let out a childish scream of fear as it happened. If destiny bond didn't take it out, Marcellus was ready to high tail it, and take Julian and Liz with him.

XXXXX Everything seemed to have gone without a hitch, His shadow ball had hit the Honedge. A lot of the energy he had created was for show, so luckily for the Honedge it didn't blast he thing back into the afterlife, but it still would have been a tough hit to take. He wasn't surprised to see the sword go inanimate. What he hadn't expected was the flurry of attacks that had been redirected at him. Despite having been actively crushing the portals, another one game up without him being able to counter them. It had redirected a flurry of other attacks. Belle's, Inanna's, Josette's, and another's. Cronus knew he could easily withstand the attacks no problem so rather then deflecting them sending them back to an already defeated Hoopa he took it. All but the frozen water pump. He didn't want to risk the brute froze of it he crushed that too into fine powder causing it to snow on the humans and Pokémon. The Mewtwo lowered back to the ground seemingly unharmed from the fire and energies thrown at him, as well as unbothered by the theatrics of Hoopa. He was however curious how Hoopa was still conscious from taking the hit with Destiny Bond. Maybe he had gone too easy on the Honedge, but he didn't want to injure the ghost.

Julian, limited by his lack of auditory input, only knew parts of what was happening. He couldn't have heard Katie's plans with Cronus, but he could see what was playing out. Cronus had made himself the biggest threat around, drawing Hoopa's attention. Other Pokemon were attacking, but doing very little. It was the small sword flying sneakily behind Hoopa which did what was necessary. It nicked the Legendary Pokemon, then flew up into the air to be met with a Shadow Ball from Cronus. Julian thought this was a bit much, considering how powerful the Mewtwo supposedly was, but the trick did it's job. Liz's Pokemon fell to the ground, motionless, a generic sword in it's unconscious state.

Arcanine had been standing protectively between Liz and Hoopa, but the rest of his Pokemon were at the ready. Any one of them was prepared to attack, to finish off the job, but they couldn't do that with the blonde Trainer running right up to it. He had no idea that this was Hoopa's Trainer, but still the idea of approaching the giant beast unprotected seemed like a bad idea to him. It seemed to be exactly that as Hoopa raised a fist, bringing it down on top of Katie. The Trainer never even flinched. What a horrible way to go, attacked by your own Pokemon in a state of uncontrolled rage. "Search for signs of life!" He practically shouted through Espeon's psychic link with himself.

The Pokemon flinched, but obediently went looking for any sign that the Trainer might still be alive. While she did this, Typhosion was just getting over his shock. If this Pokemon had just killed a Human, he was going to put it down before it could hurt anyone else. Liz, Julian, Marcellus, none of them deserved to go out like this. Hell, this was supposed to be a relaxing getaway after Julian had barely escaped death! Here he was, right back in danger like some sort of magnet. He rose to his full height, muscular barrel-chest puffed out as he roared loudly and ferociously.

With Hoopa so weak, practically on the verge of defeat, it seemed sure that the collective of Trainers and Pokemon would win. Katie wanted to give this new Hoopa the chance to stand down and allow her to bottle it again, but apparently the entity's fear of being contained was too great to allow it to give in without a fight. Hoopa lifted his fist, bringing it right down on top of Katie. Or at least it would have if Jirachi hadn't interfered and teleported the Trainer to just behind Hoopa.

"I gave you a chance." She said, a little sadly as she lifted the top off the Prison Bottle. Hoopa roared as the dark entity controlling him began to get pulled into the bottle. When at last Hoopa was returned to normal size and shape, Katie raced forward to catch him as he fell. "It's alright, I got you." She told him as he strained to open an eye. "Here, get some rest. We'll get you checked out at a Pokemon Center as soon as possible." she pulled out Hoopa's Pokeball and returned him.

Katie put the bottle away in her bag. She couldn't allow the entity to get out again, she would have to protect it and keep it out of the hands of those who had no idea how to handle such power or what it could mean to those around them. "thank you all, so much." She said, looking around at the Trainers and Pokemon in turn who had done so much to battle her Hoopa when it had gone out of control. She couldn't possibly have handled all this without them. "Hoopa is not a bad Pokemon. Whatever this is, in the Prison Bottle, it took him over."

She hoped they would be understanding, but she did note the hot-tempered and rash acting redhead from the Ball among those who had helped battle her Pokemon. She didn't know anything about the others, Marcellus, Julian. They were complete mysteries to her. "We should go." She blushed, suddenly suspicious that she was going to be detained by the royals and their guards. She looked at Jirachi, nodding. "Can you get us out of here?" She asked, and Jirachi nodded with a smile.

Liz had to take a moment when the fist crashed into the ground. She stumbled but still took the swing at Hoopa's hand. It amounted to a whole lot of nothing with Nagi being sheathed and her momentum dying when she thought Katie was just crushed. She was trying to reconcile what just happened as Katie took advantage of the moment and worked on pulling Hoopa's entity back into the Bottle. When the fist disappeared Liz was looking around trying to figure out Hoopa's whereabouts. Katie was already there to catch the little djinn Pokemon and return him to his ball. Wait...she was OK? Liz was struggling to process everything. Jirachi was there. She knew stories about the Wish Maker but hadn't learned enough to know she was looking at it. So Katie had been saved by...she could only assume it was another region's version of Victini. That made the redhead smile. Nobody got hurt after all. "Heh, sure. I'll believe it when I see it." She scoffed, though her demeanor was much calmer than you'd expect after that moment of panic. Maybe Hoopa wasn't such a bad guy, but he tried to be. Liz was willing to start a fight with the impish genie if she thought he would try again. "Keep safe, alright? I can't run in heels." She added with a playful smirk. Not that Katie had needed her help but she had to feel like she contributed somehow. In the back of her mind Liz was worried about the idea of something possessing a host. Wasn't this Hoopa supposed to be a powerful Psychic Pokemon? That was terrifying. If that thing could take on Hoopa, what could it have done to any of them? She shuddered. Evil thing was evil.

After a little more chatter and returning all but Belle and Nagi to their balls, Liz put her unconscious Honedge between her bag and her back. The redhead grinned at Cronus as she approached Marcellus and Julian with all the excitement finally dying down. "My hero." She teased the Legendary Psychic. She got that Nagi had been involved but it was the Mewtwo's Shadow Ball that had brought Hoopa down. "Who's ready to go back home? I have a lot to catch up on!" She declared to her group. Once Marcellus and Julian were ready to head back she waited patiently for Cronus to teleport them back to the Johto Region. If it took them a moment to actually go, Liz took one last look around the Ball with a thoughtful frown. This had been fun until everything went wrong. She would have to come to another one if the Duchess was still willing to hold them. Then, with Cronus' powers, the group vanished in a flicker of light...
