Elemental Paradisity Estelle "Stella" Eleanore Crawford Estelle had been looking towards the stage. When she had left, of course the residual crowd from the gifts were still hovering about the stage, but now it was a smaller tight knit group and they seemed to be huddled, as well as the dispersed groups looked as though they were detached now, keeping to themselves and minding their own business. She was trying to work out what had happened while she was gone when she felt someone bump into her. She wasn't walking, so she wasn't exactly paying attention, or trying to pay attention for someone else. She took a step back, the girl wasn't at a brisk walk or anything so they hadn't collided too hard, Estelle just wanted to open the space between the two again. "Goodness." She couldn't help but let out. The retired opera singer eyed over the young girl as she apologized. It was very tasteful in figure, however she wouldn't have worn black to a birthday celebration, but it was still a tasteful dress. However the girl was wearing false ears that threw everything off from her dress. She only recognized the ears because of the brief meeting with the young deaf boy and his espeon. It was an odd accessory for her to wear, but some trainers were odd. At least she assumed since their was no Pokemon with her. "It's alright, there are worse things that could have happened I suppose." she responded. Normally she had given the young girl a piece of her mind, but she had been out of sorts from the shock she had received before. But also, she seemed to be much more mild mannered then the last teenager she encountered, and she had apologized, there was no real need to be hostile or snippy. "Oh, that mere bump hadn't startled me. It was being plunged into darkness while in the ladies room." She had explained to the younger girl. She let her hand fall from her chest as she looked from the girl back to the group on the stage. "I'm starting to believe it was more then just a mere power surge..." She purposed as she looked back to the dark haired teen.(I'm terribly sorry, Paradisity, I completely thought I had responded the day after you posted, which is why I posted as Ridley already. D: )

She knew she was pretty, and she definitely knew how to use her looks for the attention and information she was looking for. However, while she was able to notice the absence of the caretaker, and clearly something had happened in the Ballroom to create the buzz that there was presently, she couldn't have guessed what had happened. The male responded that she indeed have missed something, but his tone was less then desired. She wanted to charm him, and make him putty in her hands, or friendly at the very least. Though it seemed his Pokemon were pleasant to her compliments. However, his explanation shook her. Suspect of murder? Her beautiful smile dropped immediately as she looked to the stage quick enough to toss bundles of curly blonde hair over her bare shoulders. She snapped her attention back to him. "What?" she questioned almost in a shocked but demanding tone. "She was murdered? Here?" Lucille questioned with wide eyes. That was not at all what she could have imagined in the possibilities of the night. "We'll, I clearly couldn't have done it." She commented, "I wasn't even in the room." She said confidentially. He did say that everyone was a suspect, which made sense to the Heiress, but she had to have been in the clear since she wasn't even in the room. "How was she murdered?" Lucille asked him crossing her arm a little uncomfortably as she looked around herself. So if they were all suspects, she could assume that the murder hadn't left, which means they were still in the room.

The Archduchess could tell she was letting her temper get the best of her, but she couldn't help it. She would much rather be angry and firing quips at everyone rather then crying and being upset. She wouldn't allow herself to appear weak in front of the public. She hadn't before when she lost her son, and she wouldn't now. These things weren't suppose to happen here in luxury. This wasn't Virbank City for heavens sake. This was Kalos, this was in the royal family and court. Crime wasn't suppose to happen to them, they were the elite and the protected. Lady Adelaide was furious that they had let something like this happen. The redheaded young woman denied her knowledge of swords, claiming that her Honedge was alive. "Alive is a strong word for a Honedge." The Archduchess commented on. It wasn't exactly a negative comment or quality for the Pokemon, she was just aware that the sword was a ghost and it supposedly draw the life force from it's holder. However, as Liz turned the tables on the Pokemon itself and began shouting at it, it causes both nobles and both guards to flinch at the sudden out burst. Had she not known she was carrying around a ghostly sword this whole time? Being from Kalos, both Archduchess and Baron had been told and warned of the Pokemon's lore. Her manic behavior was just bizarre and strange to the Archduchess. Be it because of her seclusion to family and court, or because of her status, but she never was really around people who acted like this. It began to cause her to keep an eye on the red head. If someone was so wild and had emotions swinging so wildly with the wind, she could see the girl stabbing someone in a panic, or in attempts to help. She looked to Demetri. He always tried to see the best in people, even people those like Adelaide didn't think deserved it. He had spoken for Liz, and now she was believing he had been wrong. The Baron was even shocked at the out burst, but had she really not known of it's nature, he could understand her anger. Maybe just not to that extent. However, he couldn't help but notice that Liz hadn't taken his advice to call her Pokemon to step down. It only added more tension to the situation. Yes there was a thief and murder in the room, but more violence wouldn't help the situation. He didn't want her to return them, just have them relax. She and the new arrival seemed to start working together to help, which if so he definitely didn't want to interrupt. However, she turned to the Archduchess, professing to help her and be Rhya for now. This comment would appear to strike a cord with both of the nobles. Demetri would wear it on his face as his calm and handsome expression would change to one that was upset and hurt. But he briefly had met Liz, and he knew good and well she didn't mean to replace Rhya, but to offer help where help was needed. So the expression didn't last long, but he did turn back to his Grandmother. She reacted by sitting further back in her chair and taking a breath. This only added further suspicion to the girl in the old woman's eyes. However, she was letting her temper get the better of her before. Without any proof the Archduchess knew it was a simple gesture of help. "I appreciate the gesture. But no one could be my Rhya." She commented. While she had been seen as cold, and rude, which is exactly how she acted. She did love her family more then anything, and she viewed Rhya as her own granddaughter. "It was kind of you to offer. But I have Edwin, Rhya's Audino, to assist me. Both of your focus would be better used on catching the monster who did this." She commented looking to Demetri. She would like a caretaker around just in case, especially one with first aid knowledge like Edwin had with a murderer in the bunch. The Baron caught on and let out Edwin to have on hand.
After letting out Edwin, he remained focused on the Archduchess like trained, despite everything that happened. He tried not to pay attention to the Pokemon moving about the stage. However, behind the chair, the blue Snubbull was taking his time to gear up another whimpering growl at the approaching dark colored Kabuto, but was caught with a hiss before he could. The Snubbull let out a whimper as he turned tail and booked it back around the chair and to the Archduchess' leg, pawing at her skirts to get up into the safety of her lap. The older woman knew of the cowardice snubbull so she didn't really worry about it's reaction, so she merely leaned down and scooped him up, and set him opposite of the pink canine. Demetri was now giving his full attention to the blonde who was giving him a lead. He listened to Katie, as she began to explain knowledge of a person in the room who was a thief and had Pokemon who like to steal as well. "That definitely is a big lead to go off of." Demetri admitted with a surprised expression. He was curious to see who here would be the thief, knowing he hadn't sent a specific invite to a thief. "Who's the thief, that definitely would be a good start to go after." He began to explain, knowing if most leads and common sense directs to a person, more often then not that might be the person. "Where did you learn this? Do you know this person?" Demetri asked, curious to know where she had found this lead. If she knew him from before. She was a ranger so maybe she had encountered him before. However, the Pokemon from before seemed to have noticed something as well, as he called out. Demetri looked over as the Pokemon pointed to the said clue. Demetri almost thought he was just pointing to the knife itself, which would be cute but not a clue. He called out it was on the knife. "Oh, let me take a look then." He stated, moving over and began to grimace as he looked at the knife that had stabbed his friend. He leaned down, and was able to see the black threads stuck on the knife. He plucked one thread and looked at it closely. "It looked like you found a few black threads on the knife." He inspected. It could mean something... The only person that had physically touched the knife was the attacker since the Abra teleported the knife back. "This could be really important, good job Hoopa." He told the Pokemon, assuming that was his name, since he was talking in a third person. "So, we're off to a good start it seems. We have a clasp, threads, and a direction." He stated to the small group on the stage, turning back to Katie to explain who the professional thief was. Adelaide will remember that.Demetri noticed that.Demetri noticed Cyren had a Rockruff.Hoopa found a clueKatie has received:+20 exp to each Active Party Pokemon Any one non-event item of choice.

Elfy gravity_resistant Marco DirkMarco was pleased at the coo he had received. Marco didn't want to have anything to do with being involved negatively in the investigation, so he was going to mind his business and not draw attention. He wasn't really a trainer, but he did have his own Pokemon, and could enjoy mild mannered Pokemon. Especially when they were a beauty like Eva here. He was left in charge of watching the Pokemon, but didn't mind, he liked 'Beastie.' Even he could see she could grow up to be a strong Noivern with what experience he did have with Pokemon. He couldn't help but let out a small chuckle as she pushed back against his hand. "Alright, Alright, I won't stop giving you attention." He told her. He began to scratch her chin, and as he did he tried to guide her head to follow him. This way he could sit at a near by table, and still reach her. Once he did, and if she followed him, he would resume his attention giving and continue to mat and scratch her head gently. "For such a young and curious Noivern, you are pretty well behaved." He complimented as he continued giving his attention to the dragon. However, he was completely unaware of the little Aipom eavesdropping and keeping an eye on him.

Julian's Pokemon had all been given a mission. Noctowl perhaps had the best view of them all, flying overhead and using Keen Eye to scan the floor around the stage and gift table. Sure he saw a lot of little scurrying creatures, including the shell-covered one that Julian had one of - only black and red. He wasn't sure exactly what he was looking for, but the man who seemed to be in charge had already been given two clues from this area specifically. It was a good place to start his search.
Persian wasn't going above and beyond in her search. She seemed more interested in bothering the band members than actually searching around them. It didn't matter to her, she'd have suggested they just leave and damned to Kalos on the way out. What could they do to her? She could summon lightning! But she still started sniffing around the band and their small platform specifically for clues. She looked back when Dmitri approached Hoopa and the knife, but didn't go to investigate herself.
Also ignoring everything going on around him, Arcanine had been following the scent of that stinger back to it's source. It took him a little longer than expected because of how it circled around and moved in so many directions. "You!" He growled, though not loudly enough to alert anyone's attention. "Don't move." The already panicking spider was in his sights, and he was a big hulking potentially-spider-eating dog that was looming over Spike.
Typhlosion lowered and crooked his head to let Julian pet him. He knew his Trainer was panicking and hadn't seen him do this in a while. Unlike with that monster-maker, Julian had no target. Nobody to hit, no hits to take to save his friends. He would be feeling useless and Julian hated to feel useless more than most. "It's okay." He told his Trainer. Typhlosion was ready to fight if it came to it, but he would try everything else first. Unlike Persian, Typhlosion was a logical creature that knew there was more than one way to do things.
Umbreon had decided to search all the potted plants within the room. He knew people sometimes liked to stash things in places like this. He would begin with the plant vases on the right side of the stage, because of the proximity to the other clues found and work her way towards the entrance, circle the room, and come back along the other wall all while searching the plants. He was so focused on that that he might have missed any clues laying around him unless it was blatantly obvious.

Elizabeth Morgan "Y-y-yeah...I guess you're right. Right?" Spike was all twisted up inside. This was a bad day. This was a very, very bad day. Spike was calming down at first. Venus had managed just fine on her own. Cyren made the Spinarak shrink away again, but even the giant human was calming him. Spike was somewhat relieved when he noticed Arcanine, visibly relaxing until he was promptly threatened to stay where he was. Panic was the only logical recourse to a massive Fire Dog threatening a tiny spider. The Poison Sting left his mouth before Spike could cry out. He tried to stop himself, really, but Arcanine triggered a basic instinct to escape death. Made worse by the fact that this Arcanine was supposed to belong to a friend, wasn't he? "Wha--No! Why!?" The little Spinarak wailed in terror, skittering desperately around behind Cyren and Venus toward the only thing he felt safe with. He didn't leave his chances up in the air, either, shooting thread at his trainer as soon as she was visible to him. Whether or not Arcanine was fast enough to catch Spike, he was at least sticking to the young redhead by the time that momentary obstacle of the tall human was overcome. Whether or not Spike was already pulling himself toward the human depended on just how quickly Arcanine decided to react to a terrified Spinarak running away.
Liz was still arguing with her Honedge at first until she realized that Adelaide was addressing her. She tilted her head, holding Nagi by his handle with his sheathed blade tucked under her arm as she appeared to be trying to choke the sword Pokemon still. Scarlet crept up the young woman's neck and face as she realized just how she must have sounded, offering to replace the Duchess' caretaker just like that. "Oh! No! I--Ohmygod. I'm sorry! That's not what I meant! At all! I'llshutupnow." She was glad Adelaide could at least deny her offer politely, but the redhead still felt the full weight of an admonished child inside her own head. She had just made an ass of herself in front of the Duchess a second time. Third, if you counted the scene she just made with her Honedge and neglecting to have her Pokemon stand down. "Hey! Belle! What's gotten into you?" She demanded suddenly, as if just realizing something was wrong with her team. Her Tsareena stared as if the woman was growing a new head as she spoke. Leah still gave the guards a wary look, but followed the suggestion of her trainer's attitude. The stuffy humans weren't a threat...yet. Belle glowered at the nearest guard, raising her leg as if she meant to kick him just for being there. She turned on her resting heel and stormed off instead, leaving Liz confused and frustrated with her Tsareena. "I'm sorry, mister. She's normally so sweet! Are you OK--YAH!" Spike's attempt to reach his trainer had ended with silk sticking to her gloved arm, making the young woman scream in shock at first. She looked down at the silk, reaching to tear it off until she saw the little green thing attached to the other end. "Wh--Spike?!" Then she saw the big, furry animal Spike was running away from. "Arcanine!?" Cyren and Venus were there, maybe Spike was running from them. Something had her Spinarak terrified and no amount of gross bug thread was going to deter the Bear. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY SPINARAK!?!" Now Liz was angry. She was red in the face and clutching her Honedge with half a mind to use him as intended. At least it was still sheathed, so she would only cause blunt force trauma instead of the usual cutting death. If anyone had managed to ignore the stage up until this point, Liz was hard to ignore at the top of her lungs threatening Julian's Arcanine, Cyren, and his Machop for bullying her little spider. She should have gone looking for clues and suspects by now, but here she was having to baby her Spinarak against bullies.
While Liz was determined to make a big, noisy scene out of every little thing, Belle had made her way toward the outside. The idiot human could cause all the trouble she wanted, her Tsareena would get to work so they could all go home. With or without the crazy redhead at this rate. She looked around once, nervous about going alone at first, then crossed the threshold out into the Courtyard where she could start hunting for clues. Or kick something without being caught right away. Maybe both. "If you're out here, I'm going to kick you for ruining this night. Come out, you coward!" The Tsareena muttered irritably. It was worth a shot, calling out to the attacker and seeing if they might actually listen to her. Tsareena weren't Pokemon you just mess with.((Not sure if it's bad to split to another thread, Belle figures it's still on location and they can't limit their search to the ballroom. Actually, she just wants to get away from everybody, but that's what she'll tell whoever's trying to interrogate her later. xD If it's not discouraged, I'll post Belle searching in the Courtyard tonight.)) Eve happily followed him to the table, humming and nearly purring in response to the pets she received. She wasn't at all aware of the Aipom spying on them. More pets were all that mattered to her up until she heard yelling from the stage. She turned to see what the commotion was, tilting her big head in a way that was almost adorable. "Why are they being so loud?" She asked Marco, though she knew he couldn't understand her. That girl was being really loud. Had she gotten in trouble? She tilted her head to the other side, her tail sweeping across the floor in the same direction. That amount of yelling really didn't feel necessary. She was just about to turn back to Marco when she saw her Trainer sitting on the stage with an unfriendly looking Arcanine nearby. She began to panic, balancing on her back legs and letting out a confused cry. The Noivern was supposed to stay with Marco but it looked like her Trainer needed her help. Had she not remembered the Sableye clinging to her she would have jumped up on to the stage. She whined and cried out for her Trainer again. If she couldn't go to him then he needed to come to her so she could protect him from the horrible dog and the shrieking girl! She hid Sableye under her wing, resisting the urge to begin pacing back and forth. She couldn't protect her Trainer at the moment but she could protect Sableye.Partners: rooker

He had already taken a deep breath, and had his previous calm expression fixed on his face. He took a deep breath as Julian continued about getting thrown in jail because of Cronus. The white haired trainer never understood why the teenager was so avidly angry at Cronus. He may have had a bit to say, but the Mewtwo definitely could have made all of their lives easier or help out in a pinch. Cronus was the last person Marcellus wanted to piss off. "A back and forth right now wouldn't help anyone." He replied calmly, still fiddling with the knife in his hands. "Besides, I'm not worried about the guards as much as I am the Abras floating about." Marcellus added as he looked about the room with his eyes, but without moving his head. But Julian seemed to understand the dilemma at hand. He apologized, and began to explain that he didn't really understand how to act in this situation. He was use to fighting his way out of things. Which Marcellus fully believed, seeing how he had reacted in the labs, as well as the mountain top. Julian seemed to be the punch now ask later type. He continued to talk about having to prove his innocence and get themselves out. "Well, it's just a different way of fighting our way out." He began to explain looking to Julian. Marcellus began to slowly walk and drift as he spoke, moving towards the middle of the blue area as he did. "If we can find someone guilty, we're innocent by default." Marcellus shrugged off. It was easy enough for him to understand. Marcellus knew he didn't do it, he knew Julian couldn't have, and Liz wouldn't have. Julian then asked a pretty valid question, about who was near the stage and who was now near the Exit. "I'm not so sure, I tripped in the dark so I wasn't paying attention to the door when the lights came back on." He explained readjusting his sheer cape with his free hand. But below Josette began to speak. "Oh! Oh! Oh! I saw who was by the door!" She spoke happily, hopping in place as she did, though barely getting half an inch with each hop. Marcellus leaned down to scoop her up, and held her against his chest across her torso and above her full skirts. "Novu and I hid under a table so we didn't get kidnapped in the dark. And when Zekrom lit up we saw that blonde lady in the black dress, and that guy in the black suit with the Pokemon, and that other guy in the white suit closest to the door. But I don't know if they were close to the stage..." Josette explained, then pointing her little nub of arms at Ridley who appeared to be sitting with a few Pokemon, Andy who was talking with the Heiress, and then Marco who was sitting with the Noivern. Marcellus finally moved over setting the knife down as if it were nothing and looked down to smile at her. "That's awesome Josette." He thanked her, and looked to Julian. "That's three people we could look at, additionally, I believe I saw the woman with the strange ear accessories move to." Marcellus grouped together. Maybe if they could look over the three one of them could be the culprit trying to make a quiet exits. But Marcellus also threw in a fourth possibility. From the moment they were in the room together he felt a disliking towards her, so Marcellus seemed to be already suspicious of Rhienne. "Did that see anything when he turned the lights on?" Marcellus commented pointing a quick finger to Zekrom, it wasn't an icy tone or int he tone when he and Julian were arguing, it was a just... a slip of the tongue. Elfy gravity_resistant Marco DirkAs Marco settled into his chair, he was still more then happy to stay out of the way during this investigation. He really got into the little head massage he was giving Eva was things started to heat up around the stage. He didn't really pay an mind at first, trying to ignore it. He knew tensions were growing high, so things were bound to happen. He couldn't hear any of the conversations, really, and ignored the faint growls of the canine. But he couldn't ignore the shouting. He turned back to see the calamity, leaving a hand touching Eva so she wouldn't feel ignored. He could see an Arcanine focused on something, with Venus, while the red head with Cyren was yelling at the dog. He couldn't help but chuckle and shake his head at the display and right in front of the Archduchess. He was ready to relax back in his chair with Eva as he felt the dragon move her head, and start speaking. Granted he obviously couldn't understand her. He gave her a few pats as he looked back to her, but she began to sit up and whine nervously. Marco stood up, and followed the Dragon's motions. "It's alright, Beastie, We're fine. We should stay right here and away from the crowd." Marco reassured. It was the last thing they needed was a panicking Noivern indoors. He reached up to give her a few pats. "He'll be okay, lets just relax." He tried to sooth her again, glancing to Cyren and the group at the stage. He wasn't all that worried. Eva had yet to show herself as aggressive, just anxious it seemed. So he wasn't afraid of the Noivern and pretty confident in his skills to calm her down. Meanwhile, Sableye remained comfortable within the wings of the dragon. He clinged to the inside of her wings without any problems as she moved and happily remained where he was.

"What are you worried about the Abra for?" Julian asked, risking a look at them. They didn't seem very intimidating to him, just pre-evolved Pokemon that didn't look up to taking on one of his Pokemon, let alone all of them. Marcellus and his Pokemon began counting off the people who they thought might have been near the stage at the time of the outage. Well, they were possibilities. "So... what exactly are we looking for here? WhaHow are we supposed to prove who's guilty if we don't even know what we're looking for. Zekrom, meanwhile, turned a glare on Marcellus at his disrespect disguised as a question.
Arcanine had no idea that the Spinarak he was confronting was the one belonging to Liz. With all of the Pokemon running around it was possible another Trainer had one of the spiders as well. The spider panicked and shot a poison spike at him. He was moments away from reacting with a fire attack that might well have incinerated the arachnid. He spotted where the bug however, after a puff of flame destroyed the poison sting, he spotted where the bug was headed and allowed it to escape without trouble.
He watched without appearing too worried when Liz turned a sword on him. Between the one Trainer looking at him as though he hoped that poison sting had done him in and Liz looking like she might just run him through, Arcanine wasn't in much of a mood to be threatened. "You want to find out what it feels like to be melted down into a spoon?" Arcanine growled at the ghostly sword, making it clear what would happen if he allowed Liz to swing him at the hound.
"Liz, put that thing down." Julian's thoughts came to her mind. He hadn't moved from the spot, but did have his eyes trained on Liz and the sword. "He would't hurt Spike." Julian knew what was happening because Liz's outburst was on the forefront of everyone's mind while he had been scanning them with Espeon. Marcellus was watching him, he knew that without having to look. "You need to calm down or people are going to think you're the attacker. Like Marcellus just warned me, this isn't the time to let our emotions go unchecked."

gravity_resistant As the Noctowl flew over head in the ball room, it would have a pretty good birds eye few of the room itself. As the commotion played out between the trainers and the Arcanine and Spinarak. It would be fairly difficult to see around everything going on with how many people and Pokemon moving out. But luckily for the Noctowl's keen sight it shouldn't be a problem. As tensions rose and swords were drawn, something might have caught the eye of the owl. A little flash of light reflecting off of something on the floor towards the right of the group near the stage. If Noctowl chose to further inspect the flicker of light, he would find a pink disk that might look a bit a little familiar to a trainer. It would be sitting on the ground in front of the stage, close to the right corner of the stage area. What Noctowl decides to do with the disk would be completely up to him. It was a strange situation, because Abras aren't intimidating in the slightest. His Pokemon could easily take them in a battle. But Marcellus at least knew what their signature was, they all did if they arrived the same way he did. "Well, I believe they are like the Unown. Harmless alone, but with more they could be strong." He explained, remembering his experience in Darkrai's realm that was created by the unown. He knew they couldn't do much if you ran into just one or two, but a hive of them were dangerous. "I'm not concerned about battling them, I think they would just teleport us where ever they planned on holding the criminal. I'm not sure what they would have planned for Cronus or Zekrom really, but the Archduchess and the Abra don't seem concerned about them." Marcellus explained to Julian, if Espeon wasn't transferring the messages, he knew Cronus would for Julian's sake. Marcellus didn't realistically think Abras, or the royal family for that matter, would try and throw a legendary or a strong psychic in jail. Not exactly effective, but he was fairly certain they would have some sort of plan for this if anything went sour. Probably drop them off some where else, or take them back home. Cronus knew making an enemy of an entire region wouldn't be smart even for him, there wouldn't be any peace for him nor would he hear the end of it with man hunts and what not. He wasn't sure what Zekrom's thought process was on all of this. Cronus didn't particularly like Zekrom, but like he did with the Yveltal he met, he respected his status as a legendary enough not to go digging in his mind to find out. However, it was his decision if he wanted to try and fight his way out if Julian got himself teleported out with his Pokemon. Granted, this was all Marcellus's assumption. Had he been in the Archduchess' place, and had his own neck on the line, he would make sure to have the same security protocols. But he was sure Cronus would have been a better security detail. Julian continued to ponder what their plan was and what they should do. It was a valid question, for Marcellus and Cronus since he was shrugging off his own abilities, they were just going to have to fend for themselves. However He ignored the look he got from the legendary Dragon, it was the best he could do to keep his calm composure. "Well, if Zekrom hadn't seen anything, we at least have a direction of Four people to look at. Maybe try and formulate what could have happened and try to prove it." Marcellus explained to him. Marcellus made a glance around to those four he and Josette had mentioned, and began to think about if he had been them, how could he had pulled off the crime. He didn't exactly know what was happening or the conversion that was going on between Julian and Liz mentally through Espeon, and Cronus didn't feel it was important to listen or or clue in Marcellus. She didn’t seemed harmed at all, but in the ornate dress she was wearing, which seemed a bit unique for a Smoochum, she couldn’t quite get up from the ground.
”Oh no, I’m so sorry, here let me help you,” the Lucario spoke, but no sooner had he made an attempt to assist than did she manage to get up and flounce over to a trainer dressed as ornately as she was, and also in completely stark white clothing. Wattson looked at him for a few moments, he could swear that the male trainer was familiar for one reason or another, his aura in particular was very distinct, something the Lucario felt that he would never forget… Wattson hadn’t necessarily been paying attention to the conversation that he was having with another trainer, the one that seemed closest to the Zekrom that still stood idly in the middle of everything, but when the small Smoochum began to speak, pointing fingers about who was closest to the doors when the lights had come back on, Wattson looked at the trainer’s mention of Rhienne, placing her as part of the accused party. The Lucario paused for a moment then, wondering why he felt the need to single out Rhienne in accusation, though he eyed the knife that the white trainer idly played with, finding the behavior very peculiar, and a little too on the nose for what had happened to the archduchess’ care taker. All of a sudden Rhienne was on a list of accused by the white trainer and his Smoochum, and they were going to go to the Baron and have them interrogated. Wattson tried to think, getting Rhienne out of the spotlight aside and ignoring his growing distaste for the white haired trainer, it’s not always the best idea to try and make an immediate exit when committing a crime or otherwise. There was so much chaos in the time the lights had gone out, there was no guarantee that whomever might have done this would be able to make it out in time, they wouldn’t have been able to time when the hotel might be able to turn the lights back on, or when a trainer would release a legendary Pokemon into the ballroom to blind everyone. If they couldn’t be certain that they would have enough time, it wouldn’t have been worth the risk.
”If I could make a point,” Wattson said then after a moment, moving forward towards the two trainers and their Pokemon, swallowing a bit as he came into closer contact with the white haired trainer’s aura.
”You’re admirable, trying to aid the cause, and you are bringing up some good determining factors. However, I’m not so sure that focusing on the exit is the best path, at least not immediately. There was no guarantee that whomever was the cause of this would have enough time when the lights had gone out to make it to the exit, there were too many anomalies, people to run into, tables to miss, and when that Zekrom was released, that even more so took away from any allotted time they might have given themselves,” Wattson began, thinking through things carefully, trying to be deductive and thoughtful.
”We might want to consider those who tried to move furthest away from the stage, or those who huddled into a crowd, to meld back into the guests and feign innocence or act as though they had no idea what’s going on when the lights came back on, so they could wait it out,” Wattson spoke then, or he would also like to consider those who are going out of their way to make a scene or jump head first into accusing others. He didn’t exactly like these two trainers, but thinking through his own words, Wattson realized something… How did the lights go out exactly?
”Wait… Does anyone know how the lights went out? That wasn’t an accident, it was part of this plot to get to the archduchess. If we find out what happened to the lights, that might narrow the search, or maybe even tell us that there could be more than one person involved in this,” the Lucario mentioned, having realized that the lights going out was as big a part of this as anything, and if they could figure out what happened to the lights, how they were accessed, they would be able to tell more about what happened over all.
Quietly and a bit solemnly moving through the crowd, Aviraba had been a bit relieved to find Delphine and Ridley, just like Rhienne told her to, it was something to get her mind off of things. The energy in the ballroom was shifting like crazy, it was getting hard for her to keep her emotions to herself and not take on anyone else’s, but she tried to keep things in check when she found who she was looking for. The psychic was glad that they were alright, they’d run off before and they seemed really upset, it was good to see that things had calmed down for them.
”Rhienne said to come find you, to see if you were okay,” Aviabra commented when she approached Ridley who turned to find her, her hands clutched in the skirts of her dress as a sort of nervousness. Ridley seemed a bit agitated though, not like Rhienne who was calm, saying that she was babysitting now. Aviabra didn’t exactly like the thought that she had to be baby sat, but she was kind of scared about what was going on, so maybe she would just stay here for now… Ridley said almost the same thing that Rhienne did, that she shouldn’t go far and that she shouldn’t talk to anyone, but Aviabra hadn’t thought about there being a murderer around them… After a few moments, Ridley had everyone sit down at a table, and just like she had been told, Aviabra sat while she was holding onto Delphine’s staff, looking around before she looked up to the Delphox beside her.
”Yeah… That’s kind of cool,” Aviabra mentioned, agreeing that it would be cool to get to talk some more… But there was just so much going on now.
”You don’t think they actually tried to murder someone, right? What if it was just an accident, I don’t want to get got by someone who tried to kill someone,” Aviabra thought aloud, looking around nervously the more she thought about it, Ridley hadn’t exactly been sensitive about the nature of what was going on around them.
”Do you think that lady that was on stage is going to be okay,” she asked then, she couldn’t exactly see what had happened on the stage since she was shorter than most, but she heard that someone got stabbed, and she wondered if they were going to be okay… In no time at all, Aviabra looked around and saw plenty of Pokemon wandering around now, even a Noctowl that was flying around randomly. Were they trying to help too with their trainers? What if there were clues and stuff, like an actual mystery?
”What if this is like an actual mystery, like in the movies, what if there are clues you know? What if we find one and it tells us who did it,” Aviabra mentioned then, looking up to Delphine, getting just a little excited about maybe being a detective like in a movie that solved the big crime and got someone arrested with the police. She’d have to tell Mika all about it one day that she helped catch a bad guy just like in a movie.
Standing there in the midst of the ballroom with the tension beginning to build with the baron and the archduchess on stage, Rhinne found herself in company with an older woman that she had run into, and hopefully hadn’t upset. Rhienne could figure that these high society types could do or say anything to get someone kicked out or branded as trouble, and especially now that they were all accused of attempted murder, that was the last thing that Rhienne wanted to do. However, it seemed that the woman didn’t have any ill will upon being bumped into, which put Rhienne at a bit of ease, she was trying to keep a low profile, stay out of the way of things while the investigation was taking place, she certainly didn’t want to start making a scene at all.
”It was my mistake, I wasn’t watching where I was going,” Rhienne said in a last attempt to make sure that things wouldn’t turn sour, and in hopes of getting back on track to find Aviabra, and track down Wattson as well, but the woman spoke up again in kind to Rhienne’s words, saying that she had actually not been in the ballroom until just now.
”So you weren’t in the ballroom until after the lights came back on? I’m surprised you were able to get back inside,” Rhienne commented, she was sure that the Abra that worked with the royal guard would have had every door to the ballroom on lock down in some way or fashion since the archduchess had declared everyone present an enemy of the region.
”It wasn’t just a power surge, it was on purpose. And now that you’re here, you’re brandished as an accused party for attempted murder and grand theft by the archduchess. No one is allowed to leave the ballroom, the Baron is conducting an investigation,” she informed, confirming that it was not just a power surge at all, but something premeditated and purposefully done. |

Elizabeth Morgan Liz was struggling with her feelings. Arcanine was one of Julian's. Julian was her friend. This shouldn't be happening! Spike was clinging to his trainer, tucked up safe against her shoulder and turning his head away from a potential sting. Nagi was just grateful the swinging stopped, though Arcanine's mouth was not helping. "Oh. Yes. Absolutely! I'll make you a deal. You put a muzzle on your idiot human and I'll stick a sheath onto mine!" Cried the Honedge. Arcanine wasn't exactly in the wrong for not wanting a human to swing a sword at him. He could always avoid the situation where she thought it was necessary to do so, though. And threatening the Honedge was certainly no way to secure his help! Liz's sudden silence was unnerving. She had retreated into her own head for the moment, struggling with pain and confusion. "Poor thing." The voice was faint at first but it was decidedly within her thoughts. "In trouble again, I see." She let go of Nagi, allowing the Honedge to float away and try much harder to understand his trainer's behavior. This couldn't be good. Psychics around the room would be able to hear Liz thinking to herself in different voices but the context of what she was speaking to was jumbled in the mess that was the young woman's mind. Speaking to herself, speaking to a split personality, speaking to a creature that somehow lived inside her head. Any of those theories could be reasonable to eavesdropping Psychic Types. "It isn't right. We didn't sign up for this." SaLizzle snorted derisively at a mental picture of Julian. "You don't deserve this." Liz's breathing was rough until she took a slow breath. She let it out and the quiver went out with it. "I don't deserve this." She murmured to herself, reaching out and taking Nagi around the middle. Couldn't be accused of attacking anyone if she was grabbing her sword by the blade. Her bright green eyes flashed as she finally looked to Julian on the floor. "Oh. Sorry, Da." She snapped icily at the young man. An accent she normally didn't share slipping out in the retort. "I didn't rec'nize ya, you'd got so short." Liz made sure to glare in Julian's direction long enough to make eye contact if he wasn't already looking at her. She had a fire in her and he wasn't about to escape it by pretending Cronus or Espeon weren't relaying the message for him. Though her temper was all stirred up she couldn't really call the feeling hate. She definitely wanted it to be, but that was a momentary idea. A desire for hate didn't create it luckily for her.
The redheaded woman turned that glare on Arcanine once she was sure Julian had got the hint. Honedge was having his pommel pointed at the large hound's nose even as Nagi himself was insisting she stop brandishing him at everything. "Stay. Away. From me." Her voice came out in a growl almost as menacing as if she were a Pokemon herself. Liz glanced once at Cyren and his Machop, shrugging as if his presence was optional. Maybe she needed another person to talk to, maybe she didn't. She certainly wasn't asking for it now. She gestured to a corner away from the bulk of the crowd--away from Julian--just to make sure everybody knew where not to be for a bit. "I'mma check over there. Holler if there's someone to hit." Liz announced out loud. She had a sheathed Honedge and a lot of frustration she couldn't just deliver to somebody's face right this second. A criminal's revelation was surely a death sentence if Liz was within arm's length! She hopped off of the stage and stuck the landing this time. Leah and Princess were called with a sharp "C'mon!" and she scarcely noticed Belle had gone missing. She wanted to scream at something, or hit it, so addressing her missing Tsareena was bad to think about right now. Instead she scanned the ground as she walked away from the stage and shouldered through any people that didn't immediately give her space. On her way to the near opposite end of the Ballroom Liz passed by the journalist Elizabeth Plum. Any attempt to start a dialogue would get the pretty blond growled at but little more. Leah paused momentarily by the woman to bark an apology for Liz's sour mood before moving on. She also eyed the blond over once, hoping to identify something out of place. The woman didn't give her any weird feeling but that didn't always make people innocent. Princess likewise stopped to try and make an encouraging gesture to the human hoping Elizabeth was having a better night than they were. If she came to talk to Liz later Princess was sure they might actually talk about something. The Salandit scampered off soon thereafter as the Absol lingered and tried not to be obvious about her examination. Liz's trip toward the Courtyard side of the Ballroom was not terribly exciting and the young woman was doing a poor job of keeping her eyes peeled. Cyren had absolutely no idea what was going on now. His Machop was just as lost as he was. He was concerned for the redhead after whatever had just happened with her but he felt it best not to bother her for the moment. He could confirm both she and the Spinarak were okay after she had been given enough time to calm down. "We should head back. Eve's probably worried." He patted Venus's head, trying to get her attention on him and off of the Mama Bear and Arcanine. She looked ready to go after the girl immediately just so she could make sure Spike was alright. She tugged on her Trainer's sleeve and pointed towards the Courtyard door. She was going to go outside. Getting out of the room might help her. "Alright. Come back right away if you run into anything bad." He didn't like the idea of his Machop wandering off alone but if she needed the break then he was willing to allow it. She hopped down from the stage and headed towards the Courtyard door. Cyren decided to return to Marco at that point. His Pokemon were all busy exploring and Eve was clearly upset with everything that had just happened- though Marco appeared to be calming her down. If she panicked she was likely to get into trouble. Cyren left the stage soon after the Machop did. The Noivern bumped her head into him as soon as he was within her reach and whined at him. She was scolding him for staying on the stage with something so loud. The redhead and that dog being more trouble than they were worth. They could have waited to act silly until after her Trainer was somewhere safe!
He rubbed her head, letting her scold him all she wanted. "Seems like everyone is on edge." He commented to Marco while he gently scratched behind the Noivern's ears. "Thank you for looking after her. I hope she didn't give you too much trouble." Eve had been very well behaved so far. He was impressed that she was managing to keep herself together. "They have a direction now. That didn't take them long at all...I wonder who they think is responsible for all of this." He had left to retrieve his Kabuto and had returned with an update instead. The fossil was determined to help and Cyren didn't see the harm in letting him. So long as nobody tried to bother him the Kabuto would be fine with just Mars looking after him. He hadn't realized that the Rockruff had abandoned the fossil and Yami had wandered off by himself as a result. "How are you guys holding up?" Partners:

Katie didn't even hesitate. She didn't feel bad about pointing the finger at the person she thought was responsible for everything that had happened. That being said, she also didn't want anyone running off and telling the guy that she suspected him. So it was good that Cyren walked away when he did before she said anything. "His name is Marco. He's wearing a white suit, and he has a Sableye with him. I was informed that he makes a living by taking rare and valuable items that do not belong to him."
Hoopa beamed with pride as his clue was deemed worthwhile. "Hoopa only wants to help catch the bad guy." He explained, somewhat unnecessarily. Talking to Hoopa was something like speaking to a toddler. He would always say what was on his mind, and would often be brutally honest. "What else can Hoopa do?" He asked Dmitri, who had come over to personally examine Hoopa's discovered clue himself.
Meanwhile Aipom was trying to spy on Marco and his Pokemon. He would duck under the table and retreat into the shadows as Cyren passed by on his return from the stage. He'd peek out again once Cyren was back with who might have been his partner in crime. Which brought up another idea to the small monkey. What if there was more than one person behind this whole thing? What if it had been more. What if, in fact, half of the room was in on this? That thought didn't sit well with the purple Pokemon.

rooker Elizabeth PlumElizabeth remained off towards the side of the stage. She had sat in the closet seat available, causing her to sit sideways in the chair to keep her angled out towards the rest of the ball room. Her back was too the band which was no longer playing and now being looked upon by the Persian. She didn't really pay any mind to the feline, she wasn't reacting hostile, so she continued to do what she told Kathrine she would do. She had set her camera bag on the table, while she was petting her Cutiefly with her index finger that was sitting on the palm of her hand. She would speak to her Cutiefly, but her eyes were moving about the room. There was so much going on, but she was trying to put her journalist and reporter mind to good use as she eyed the crowd. There was so much going on, her eyes were flicking back and forth. A Noctowl was flying all around, there was a Persian behind her, A Lucario moving about the room, Marco was calming a Noivern, and not to mention the large Zekrom lumbering by. There was quite a bit for her to try and py attention too. However, She paid most attention to Marco by the Noivern. He appeared to be just giving affection to the dragon but she couldn't hear him or anything. She had half the mind to send Cutiefly over towards him so the Pokémon could listen in. But she lsoon noticed a familiar little Aipom peeking out from under a table. Elizabeth remembered the little monkey when Kathrine needed to look for her Hoopa. She couldn't help but smile. "Very clever, Kathrine." She whispered to herself. However the commotion on the stage had grown quite a bit, enough to startle the blonde and cause her to look back towards it. Kathrine was still safe with Demetri, but the Redhead seemed to have been upset and now pointing a sword at the Arcanine, though it was still sheathed. There was a strange back and forth, but as long as no one was in real danger, she was okay with it, and turned her attention to Marco again. Shortly after, The Redhead stormed by, and Elizabeth couldn't help but watch her go by with her few Pokémon. It took a lot to intimidate the blonde, but she knew when to back off, and this girl did not want to talk. She kept her eyes on her s she continued to move past, when the Bark caught her attention suddenly. Elizabeth flinched, causing the Cutiefly to flutter up above her hand. It wasn't an angry bark or really even a loud one, it just had caught her off guard. She smiled and couldn't help but chuckle at herself. "Well, hello to you to." she greeted the Absol, not understanding the apology. She tucked her short wavy hair behind her ear as she looked down to the canine. "It's okay, she didn't hurt anyone and she does seem really upset.." A tiny voice replied to Leah. Her Cutiefly had understood, and answered for both her and Elizabeth. Neither held anything against the trainer. As Leah looked over the blonde, She'd notice the blonde sitting back in her chair comfortably with one leg crossed over the other. Exposing one or maybe both of her black heels. Once she had finished her comment to Leah, her eyes would flick around the room before turning back to her. Her camera bag sat next to her, it was sat down crookedly, rather then carefully, with the top flap sitting half open. Neither of the clasps were clasped like they had been before. But the sight to where the pronged clasps would be appeared to be obstructed. Leah might need to get a closer and more angled look to see if one of the pronged clasps were missing. Meanwhile, as Leah was looking her over and seeing all this, Elizabeth was in fact distracted by the Salandit. She scampered by, and stopped to gesture towards her, which was clearly friendly. "I'm unsure of what exactly happened... But with such friendly Pokémon, she must be having a bad night. Can't say I blame her." Elizabeth commented as she returned a wave to the Salandit as she continued off after the Redhead. Shortly after the Absol followed. They watched the Pokémon follow after and exchanged glances before looking back to the ball room. She began to think about if she wanted to trabel about the room and get closer eyes on the other guests.

Elemental ParadisityEstelle "Stella" Eleanore Crawford Normally it would have been a serious infraction running straight into Estelle. She still believed herself to be a star in her own right, where as she still had the talent she had before. But it would frustrate her to have been over looked or not even seen. However, with everything going on, her concern was else where. Additionally, the young girl was fairly kind and apologetic about it. With her last experience with a teenager, she was going to give credit to her manners. The older woman nodded to the teenager as she accepted the mistake as her own. She continued on to question if she had been in the room and how she got in. "No, I was in the ladies room. There was quite noise when it went completely dark. That was what gave me such a freight. I had feared the worst." She commented then reached up to check if her hair had still been in place, it was. "But why wouldn't I be able to get back into the room? That-" She questioned, and began to speak and looked over to the blonde who was talking with the young male and his Pokémon. She paused as she eyed over Lucille seeming to look for the right words. "-Tall drink of water had no problem thrusting the doors open." She commented having followed her into the room. Estelle didn't have quite the stride the Heiress had, nor the drive she apparently had. It was an interesting thing for the young girl to wonder, the doors weren't all the heavy, nor was she too old and frail to open. The young girl was pretty quick and helpful to explain the situation at hand. It wasn't some faulty outing, someone had apparently cut the power in an attempt to murder and steal from the Archduchess. Her mouth fell open as she gasped, clutching her pearls yet again with a sound of surprise. She looked towards the stage to see the group of people talking with the Baron, while she sat visibly upset. "Dear heavens. I'm thankful I hadn't been here." She commented, bringing her hand form her shapely chest to her cheek keeping her eyes trained on the stage with the Baron and Archduchess for a moment, then back to the teenager. "Well, It's terrific to see the attempt failed, and she's alright. What did the delinquent manage to steal?" She questioned, she could clearly see that the Archduchess was perfectly fine, so the attempt must have failed. She could clearly see that there had been a fire, so that must have been the failed attempt. But it would be difficult to prove someone had an attempt as grand theft if they had failed, so she could only assume that was the only part of the crime that succeeded. There had been quite a few gifts that night, not to mention what had been brought by guests. Who knew what it could have been or why. "Well, surely the Baron is reasonable and won't keep everyone here. It shouldn't be to difficult to snuff out a petty thief." She commented looking to the young girl. She didn't seem worried about being implied as a suspect, nor did she seem all too concerned that the teenager was either, However, she was able to put two and two together. If the Baron had locked down the Ball room, then that meant the thief was still present. At that thought she did take a quick look about the room. She had only gotten to meet the ill mannered teenage boy, and his beautiful Espeon. Every other trainer at least was a stranger to her. It could have been any of them.

Elfy gravity_resistant Marco DirkMarco kept his hand on Eve, making sure she was receiving attention, and a distraction from what was happening on the stage. He obviously couldn't hear the conversation the Blonde and the Baron were having, but he couldn't ignore the altercation growing between the Arcanine and the redhead. "She's a spastic one, huh?" He commented to Eve with a chuckle, moving his hand to under her chin. She soon stormed off leaving the group behind and ending the altercation. He couldn't help but shake his head again as he turned his full attention to the Noivern. After that, what he would call an; incriminating mess, Cyren returned. Eve quickly turned her attention to her trainer with both a whine and nudging him. Cyren commented on everyon being on edge. The archeologist looked back to the angered redhead, and then back to Cyren. "Sounded like it. Glad I stayed over here in good company." He commented calmly, looking back to Eve. He then thanked him for watching Eve, which was fairly nice of him. "Nah, Beastie was no trouble at all." He waved off. She was very well behaved and listened when she was nervous or worried which was amazing for a Pokémon that was new to the human side of the world. "It's pretty clear that she cares a lot about you, and pretty protective." He added, seeing how she reacted and whined nervously when the altercation was happening. "I'd feel bad for that Arcanine if it tried anything with you up there." Marco joked to Cyren. He firmly believed that he couldn't have stopped Eve if the Arcanine decided to take on the redhead and Honedge. However, he hadn't been able to see the Spinarak. Even if the canine was't aiming for Cyren, with how the Noivern was watching he was pretty sure the Dragon would have sprung into action. He then commented that they had a direction on where they wanted to take the investigation, and wondering who it might be. "That's great for us then. That's one step closer to be done and out of this Ballroom." He stated. If they were on the trail to who did it, that meant they were closer to no longer being under arrest. He took a glance around at the group of people. "My guess would be one of the 'trainers' but who knows. It might not be someone we might not expect at all." He commented. If someone was planning on stealing or murdering someone, it would have been pretty easy to come in under the guise of a trainer. As well as he thought there would be someone here with a motive they hadn't found yet. As he spoke with Cyren, he still hadn't noticed the Aipom spying on them near by. He had been standing near the male and dragon, seemingly still calm and relaxed with his leather satchel over his shoulder, with a hand dd over it protectively. Meanwhile, the Sableye under the wing of Eve had remained perfectly still in his happy dark place, and seemingly didn't feel like moving any time soon, unless he had too.

rooker gravity_resistant Elfy Archduchess Adelaide Beatrice Albert || Demetri Nathaniel AlbertDemetri spent his time trying to give his undivided attention to Katie. She was a ranger, and she had a hunch and a start to where they might lead their investigation. Because of this, he missed most of the Arcanine's sleuthing. However he was aware of the canine's presence. Everything seemed to dissolve into madness in a matter of seconds. He was happy to hear that his Grandmother had calmed down enough to accept Elizabeth's help, and ignore the accidental comment, but it still was enough to embarrass the redhead. After this the Arcanine confronted the Spinarak. The Baron's attention was on the Ranger, however The Archduchess' was watching both Liz and the Approaching Pokémon. She couldn't help but notice very familiar poisonous needle that the Spinarak shot at the fire type, that was soon burned away. She was going to make sure to remember that as her old lips tightened. She couldn't say anything or draw attention form anything because her worry was now scattered all over the place. The Tsarenna reared back to attack one of the guards. The male gasped and blocked, preparing to get sent flying from the attack, but it never came. Once he opened his eyes, he could see her fleeing from the room and into the Courtyard. Their attention was snapped back to the red head as she began to scream at the male that had came to her defense, and the near by Pokémon. Threats began to fly, and Pokémon began to quickly move and argue. As Elizabeth threatened the Arcanine with it's handle, One guard began to use himself as a shield to block The Archduchess, as well as the second guard pulled Demetri away from Katie, to also protect him. They weren't there to fight Pokémon, They were there to defend and protect the royal family at all costs. Demetri didn't fight the guard, and moved back with him, fearing what might happen next. The Archduchess remained quiet and still behind the guard. Her Snubbull remained quiet too. The Archduchess' hand was on them, that meant they were to sit and obey. Demetri was watching over the shoulder of the guard, and was shocked to see Elizabeth acting like that. He knew tensions were high, but he had never expected that. She seemed completely divorced from the sweet and clumsy person he met before. She was being protective, but he believed he anyone there could have defused the situation between the bug and canine, but she was making it so much worse by yelling at everyone. He almost didn't recognize the girl, he looked back and met eyes with his Grandmother, and could see the judgement in her eyes. He had spoken for her, even Rhya had spoken for her. Edwin beside the throne like chair was watching closely and his mouth was gaping as he watched everything unfold. The Arcanine didn't seem upset at all by the advances of the red head, but she was fuming. Demetri was watching her closely, trying to understand her, as she suddenly turned her attention to a young male a ways from the stage. He hadn't heard the psychic connection that caught her attention, so it all seemed so random. If that wasn't enough, she began speaking in some accent she hadn't had before. He, of course, knew the accent, but had no idea how it connected to Goldenrod City like she said. Families taught accents and languages not the cities, he knew that, but the suddenness of it caught him way off guard and began to make him rethink his trust for the girl. She soon made her quick exit calling her remaining Pokémon with her. This caused Demetri to relax his shoulder, but the Guards and Adelaide were still tense. The Older woman watched the large Canine, then looked to the owl above head. Then the Persian who was inspecting the very uncomfortable looking band members, then Lucario in the room, then the Espeon and umbeon. The black kabuto and Rockruff. All Pokémon left unattended. She wasn't a trainer, but she was well aware that Pokémon were smart enough to behave, however this was becoming too much. So Many Pokémon running around is how the Spinarak and Arcanine situation happens. "Where is your Trainer?" The Archduchess questioned in a stern tone. It was very serious, but not exactly demanding of an answer. She didn't expect to get one really. Adelaide looked around the room. "Where is any of their trainers?" She questioned looking around, then seeing the Tsarenna by the windows outside. The old woman then stood up and guided the Guard out of her way. "Enough." She commanded, raising her voice to make sure anyone who wanted to listen to her warning could. She paused to take a look at Hoopa before continuing to speak in a stern but level voice. "I appreciate the necessity and aid of your Pokémon. Many have proven very helpful already, and I am thankful for them." She began, taking a moment to look to Hoopa for the threads, and Yami for the buckle. She was explaining that she understands that Pokémon had greater abilities then they did, and they were a great assistance to the investigation. "However. If your Pokémon cannot behave themselves, it is a reflection of you as a trainer, or the owner the Pokémon. Any damage, fighting, or damages they cause will fall back on their trainer, and the person will be equally as guilty." She commented now taking a moment to look at the Persian with the band, the Arcanine, as well as Liz and her Spinarak and Honedge. "Mind and discipline your Pokémon, or we will for you." She warned in a strong voice before sitting back down. She wasn't having an angry out burst, but she was taking control of her party. She wasn't going to let any more people get hurt under her watch if she had anything to say it. Even if she suspected the Redhead, The old woman wasn't going to allow her to be lit on fire because of her own stupidity.
There wasn't much Demetri could add to is Grandmother's speech, He didn't exactly disagree with it. Things had gotten dangerous, and had their trainers all been around, it might have been de-escalated before it had gotten to the extend that it was in. Once everyone seemed to clear away from the stage except Katie, Hoopa, Yami, Mars, and maybe Arcanine, Demetri stepped out from behind the Guard. The situation was over, and he needed to get back to Katie so they can talk about the apparent suspect. He moved back to the Blonde, but before he could there was a little familiar sounding bark. He looked down and spotted the little Rockruff that the tall male had let out. This caused most of his stress to fade as he smiled to the small canine. it was scratching the floor and walking circles and sniffing it. "Hello little guy, aren't you cute?" he commented, and leaned down to hold out his hand and offered a little scratch if the dog reacted positively to his free and non-gloved hand. He stood back up, completely unaware to the dog's wants or intentions and was ready to turn his attention back to Katie. But if they were going to go some where, he couldn't take the clues. The knife with the thread were already back on the table thanks to the Abra floating above it. Once he looked back to the Abra and held up the clasp, it disappeared from his hand. The gifts on the table all disappeared, clearing the table for more possible clues. A plastic back appeared, as the clasp was now sitting on top of it. The knife and the clues were both open to those wanting to inspect it, with a box of glove free for anyone to use. Or, if anyone wanted to catch the scents.
With the clue now safe on the table he looked back to the blonde ranger. "I'm sorry about all that, Katie, you have my full attention." He apologized to her. He wanted to hear from her, but everything going on really had pulled his attention away. But now he was ready to listen. The second he came back to her, she immediately responded with who it was, what his name was, and why. She told him the male's name was Marco, what he was wearing, that he had a Sableye, and that he made a living as a thief. That definitely seemed to check off quite a bit of boxes. "Well, that's definitely a suspect if I've heard one." He commented. He stopped and thought for a moment. "Marco... Marco... Marco..." He commented quietly to himself as he thought with a thoughtful expression. He looked to the guards, and then the Abra above the table. "I don't remember inviting a Marco, was he a trainer that RSVP-ed?" Demetri asked the Abra. The Abra didn't turn to look at the Baron, merely did one quick shake of his head 'no'. Demetri hummed to himself as he thought. He stepped down to Katie's level and angled himself so that Katie was between them. Demetri pretended he was looking at Katie but really he was eying over Marco, whom the tall male just joined. "Well, he is wearing a white suit, not black... But he does have a bag. That is all suspicious." Demetri commented, with a calming breath. "Maybe we'll have to have a little chat with Marco. How did you find out about this information?" Demetri asked her, it was quite a bit of information for her to have, and he was going to be thorough before he marched over to him. Shortly there after, Hoopa proclaimed wanting to help. "Of course, we all want to catch this bad guy." He agreed, and the little Pokémon continued on offering his help. "Well, we have a lead. and it looks like a few Pokémon are looking around... Maybe it'll help if we make a wider search for clues. Why don't you search where mostly everyone was during the outage?" He offered to Hoopa. It might lead to something. They had a clasp, but that could be to anything... an outfit, bag, satchel, trainer back pack, belt... He wasn't sure. As for the threads, it was a bit more on the nose, it was black, but there were a few black objects of clothing in the room that it easily could have come from. They had a direction with their current clues, it would help if he found more clues, maybe he could find more if he looked further then the stage floor. Demetri began to walk slowly some what in Marco and Cyren's direction, but easily could be moving towards anyone in the Foyer side of the Ballroom. He had his attention on Katie, curious about where she had gotten the information from as he guided her. Now leaving he stage, leaving Edwin and the guards to care for Adelaide. [Adelaide will remember that.][Demetri lost trust in Liz's reliability.][Adelaide warned the guests. She has a security system, and will use it accordingly. You have been warned~][Marco is now an official suspect.]

And somehow, despite everything that she had been through up until this point, this seemed just as threatening and concerning, if not more on some level, than any of the perils she had faced with her Pokemon. The glitch, Darkrai’s realm, cave ins, the many encounters with spirits from the beyond, all of those things didn’t seem to phase her now as much as she was beginning to grow concerned in this moment, but that could be for a number of reasons. She had spent so long after Mika left in a sort of limbo, it was like nothing happened at all despite the traveling that she did, and this was happening now, it was real in this moment, not just a memory, and the consequences of this were all very real. She had absolutely nothing to do with either variation of the crimes at hand, so she had that to take solace in, but for some reason, she couldn’t help but feel just the smallest bit concerned about the ‘what if’s’ that were running around in her head. Rhienne was doing her best to remain calm, especially as she noticed the amethyst gem on her ring begin to glow faintly, she didn’t need her powers to get out of control because she was putting herself into an unnecessary fit. She looked though through her glasses as the older woman spoke again, following the movement of the one girl in the overtly pink dress that seemed to keep coming up in her time at the ball.
”Yes, I can imagine, she seems to be the pushy type. I’ve seen her around here already, it’s hard to miss her frankly,” Rhienne commented, glancing back from the girl in pink to the older woman.
”Well, unfortunately someone did end up getting hurt in all of this. I’m not sure who she was, but there was a younger brunette woman on the stage with the archduchess, and when the lights came back on she had been stabbed in the shoulder. We’re not sure of how she’s doing, but she was rushed for medical care immediately,” Rhienne explained, though whomever that woman was, she was very important to the archduchess, that much was clear. As cold and straight faced as the archduchess was, she was very upset that someone had harmed the woman that she held, she hadn’t even seemed to care that the Gigalith was gone.
”So, there was a stabbing, and it very well could have been the archduchess, there was also a poisonous needle embedded in the chair behind her. All of this though was for not, the only real crime that has been committed is the theft of that Diamond Gigalith that the archduchess received as a gift,” Rhienne continued, recounting the little that she did know about the “case” as a whole. There was still much commotion and conversation and otherwise going on at the front of the ballroom, the Baron and the Archduchess were completely swarmed by Pokemon and various guests that had been causing such a fuss since the lights came back on.
”No one has come forward with any solid information yet, I don’t think, and the Baron hasn’t declared any real suspects yet. Needless to say, he and the archduchess have been preoccupied. All of those Pokemon and trainers up at the stage have been gathering there since the lights came on, they haven’t been able to get anything done,” she commented, almost in a small tone of disdain. She almost started to think that it was one of them that had done it, and getting in the archduchess’ face and making such a scene right out the gate was their way of creating a distraction enough to get the focus off of the investigation. |

Elemental ParadisityEstelle "Stella" Eleanore Crawford Estelle listened to the young woman, she could see the girl was much more tell mannered then the male she had encounter, despite the fact she had smacked right into the older woman. Or maybe that's what the girl was making her believe. Either way, She was being kind and making an effort to fill her in on what she had missed. They lingered on the topic of the blonde in pink, as Estelle gave her a lingering side eyed glance before responding back to the teenager. "Yes, she seems to be. I believe that's exactly how she likes to be." the older woman commented, she believed the teen was quite right that she was very hard to miss and that was exactly how she wanted to be. She probably wanted all of the eyes on her, with a face and figure like hers. Estelle was almost starting to enjoy the conversation as they spoke about the blonde, but the conversation soon shifted a bit darker. Originally the teen left out the most important parts, the crimes and actual attempts themselves. The woman had come to understand only the theft was successful, but apparently there was a crime that was successful and someone was indeed hurt. "Dear Arceus," she gasped quietly as she looked to the stage again. Estelle had never really paid attention to the brunette on the stage. It wasn't that she didn't care for the servants, she just didn't seem memorable to the woman. However she did notice the absence of her, which was now replaced with an audino. "I don't know who that might have been either, but I hope the poor dear is alright." She commented while her eyes lingered on the stage, before turning back to the young woman, who had even more to say about what happened. Apparently not only was there a stabbing, but there was a needle shot at them, as well as the theft of the diamond gigalith. "Dear me, the delinquent must have been very quick." she commented, remembering how long the lights had gone off. They had to have been off for maybe a minute or so, she wasn't exactly sure. But she believed it could have been easy to steal the gigalith, stab the brunette, or shoot the needle, or maybe even carry out two of the tasks and then get back to where ever they needed to... But all three crimes... that must have been difficult. "Have they considered that there may be a second or third criminal in the Ballroom? " She asked the teen, bringing a hand to her cheek as she pondered. However as she asked, the young woman continued on what they have come across thus far. Which was nothing. The older woman hummed to herself quietly at that news. "Hm. We might be in here longer then I thought then." She sighed, she might have enjoyed the night had none of the crimes been committed, but now she couldn't even leave. The older woman shifted her weight from centered to the side. Estelle looked back to the stage, and then the surrounding trainers and Pokémon. She spotted the teenager she interacted with a large dragon Pokémon, however he wasn't apart of the crowd. There was a commotion going on but she didn't really pay much attention to it, until the Archduchess stood up. Had the teen not brought her attention back there, Estelle would have ignored the announcements. It didn't bother her really, so long as the Pokémon weren't coming up to her and actually pestering her, and she actually enjoyed seeing a select few of the Pokémon. "I suppose you're a trainer as well?" She questioned her looking back to her. It wasn't so much as a negative comment, they just were on different paths then she was, and she was still young she could still do anything she wanted. However, much like the teen before, she was nicely dressed. The difference between her and Julian however is she didn't have Pokémon physically around her, so Estelle could only guess based off of the Espeon ears she decided to wear, which she could only tell thanks to the Espeon earlier she interacted with.

Cyren looked around the Ballroom curiously and shrugged. He didn't think they had enough to go off of currently to determine who did what yet but some of the Trainers were acting rather odd. He didn't believe the loud redhead had anything to do with it but she certainly wasn't making herself look innocent. Some of the other Pokemon were acting out too. The Archduchess had just said that Pokemon misbehaving would reflect negatively upon their Trainers. If things continued as they were then there was a good chance a couple of the trainers wouldn't end up in trouble. He would likely be among them. There was always a chance his temperamental fossil could bite the wrong person. Cyren would deal with that if that happened. For now he was going to trust Yami to behave himself. Eve stuck her head under her wing, nuzzling the Sableye and humming softly. Things in there area were quiet at least. Neither Cyren nor Eve were aware of the Aipom. The Noivern was too distracted by Marco, Cyren, and the Sableye hiding beneath her wing. She was still convinced he was a sweet little Ghost baby that needed her to protect him. "I'm sure she would have given that Arcanine hell if she felt it was necessary." He chuckled and rubbed his Noivern's head when she looked up at him. Eve was on her best behavior right now but she had a destructive side. He had seen it when she had decided that a war with the Wimpods was necessary. He had no doubt that she would be willing to show it again if she had to. "If I had to guess...maybe someone who had something against the royals? If they wanted to steal the Gigalith they could have done so without harming someone in the process." Unless something had gone wrong during the attempt to steal the Gigalith. Cyren began going over the few things they knew about the attack in his head, trying to figure out if there was anything important they could have missed. "What do you think caused the lights to go out to begin with?" Maybe there was more than one person involved in the attack or maybe the thief was purely opportunistic. The lights going out so suddenly seemed a little too convenient to be a coincidence though.Partners:

He began to explain how their idea may have been flaws and what may be a better idea to think about. The thing was, Marcellus agreed with Julian on checking out the few that were by the doors, especially if they had moved in the darkness. As well as, Marcellus had slowly put two and two together while the Lucario very kindly explained his idea in a friendly tone. This Lucario belonged to Rhienne. The girl he could just feel had a bad energy. He didn't get the same vibe from the Lucario.. but he was associated with her, which was more then enough for him. He kept his expression soft at this discovery however, and made sure to look like he was listening intently. He thanked them for their assistance and seemed to divert their attention away from those who were making their way towards the door, which was a very clear defense of Rhienne to him. Marcellus gave him a small smile. "That's very kind of you to listen in and help us." He complimented back. He was making sure to be fairly kind to the Lucario. If the canine was playing a game to try and divert away from Rhienne, Marcellus was ready to beat him at it. "I think you do have a point there, Lucario." He replied with a nod, and took a moment to the stage, and appear that he was thinking. " The lights were off long enough to move around, it's just a matter of seeing is the problem like you put. You definitely are right about that. But if you think about it, if you had a Pokémon that could help see in the dark. Maybe a ghost, psychic or dark type could help with that." He commented with a thoughtful tone, which these Pokémon types could point directly back at not only Rhienne with her Medicham, or even possibly the Mega Lucario, but also back to all four thanks to the Mismagius and Jynx with the blonde, the Slowking and Rotom with the male, the Sableye with the male in white. But he wasn't going to out right accuse them again. He listened again as the Lucario began to purpose they look for those who tried to move the farthest from the stage or those who were trying to hide or be innocent. Marcellus kept his expression soft as he listened. But Marcellus didn't think trying to figure out who was huddled in a group or trying to look innocent was helpful in anyway. Everyone seemed to be in a group more then one, while everyone in the room would proclaim their innocence. This Mega Lucario was very articulate and well mannered but Marcellus began to think he was very narrow minded. Must be his trainer who was hindering him. After seeing Macon, his own Lucario, and how intelligent he was, Marcellus couldn't help but think that this was just sad. "Oh, I suppose that would be a pretty good idea to look at." He commented, complimenting his idea although he disagreed greatly. "Well, since it was your idea, who do you think is trying to huddle in a crowd, or feigning innocence?" Marcellus questioned him, stepping closer and to the side so they could look around the room together. Marcellus almost wanted to see if the Mega Lucario had any ideas or could see anyone that looked like they were acting innocent, then they all were. Though shortly there after the Lucario had a good question. What had happened to the lights? Marcellus stepped back again and glanced towards Cronus, however he looked like he was focused on something else. "Hmmm, Another good question. I would guess a Pokémon would have been the one to knock it out, but there are plenty of Pokémon that were out that could have done it." He commented this time it wasn't directly pointed at the group of four he had been considering before, there were plenty of other Pokémon that were out when the lights went out, and even more now. He looked about the room again and saw plenty that probably could have caused the temporary outage. When Cronus as done he would have to ask him what he thought. Marcellus looked to Julian to see what he thought about it. XXXXXCronus however was focused somewhere else, namingly Liz. He of course was listening to Julian and Liz psychically now, but it didn't really hold his attention until a third voice chimed in. His deep red eyes were now trained on Liz. He listened to the voice start to speak at her, almost commanding her. He couldn't tell were the where was going from, at first he had assumed it was a psychic type trying to influence her. That would explain some of her erratic behavior in a time like this. However, after checking her Honedge, and trying to locate some sort of trace, he couldn't He could only assume the voice... was from her mind. Had Espeon not relayed the strange response, Cronus was more then happy to if only to understand what was actually happening. The Accent was a sudden chance, since he hadn't exactly noticed or paid attention to if her thoughts had one to.
