Skylar took his Pokemon back to the Pokemon Center and let them get rested and healed up. After a bit, he was walking out of the Pokemon Center and headed out of Ecruteak City. Eventually making his way to the National Park.

He hadn't really gotten to interact with her that much, but she seems kind and aided in getting them out of the interrogation. He frantically glanced to Liz and Julian to see if they had an idea of what to do. Julian sprung into action to try and see if there were signs of life, which was a good idea, but he couldn't bring himself to move. He looked over to Cronus, who looked surprisingly calm. Was he figuring out a plan? Marcellus was shocked but he couldn't bring himself to make a decision on their next course of action. His smaller Pokemon wouldn't be able to understand the seriousness of it. Novu was too young to understand, and Josette's mind was reverted back to a child's so he wasn't sure she could either. It wasn't until the beast's form and power gave way as it was pulled back into the bottle, leaving the small Hoopa remaining. This revealed Katie, and Jirachi who were just fine. He hadn't been quick enough to see the teleportation. She moved over to thank all of them, which caused him to let out a deep sigh of relief. Novu would run over to her and gentle butt his head against her skirts, and nuzzled them happily."I'm so happy it didn't get you!" He exclaimed as she thanked them, and explained he wasn't bad, he was just under the influence of the bottle. Liz offered up some humorous, but kind, response that he was thankful for. "I'm delighted you're okay, I believe you that Hoopa means well. But I would definitely get that bottle looked at." Marcellus replied, He was very happy she was okay. Nor did he place blame on her by any means. She definitely helped, and succeeded in stopping this version of Hoopa. It just made him worry for her if that beast was ever unleashed again. Cronus appeared next to Marcellus, ready to give his 2 cents. "That was very clever and quick thinking Jirachi. You should be proud, you saved your trainer." The Mewtwo complimented the little wish maker, Cronus's sudden kindness made Marcellus side eye him, curious as to why. However, it was just that, Mewtwo was impressed and thankful the small psychic type really held it's own in the heat of the battle, keeping everyone safe. Cronus did have a respect for other fellow legendaries, and he didn't mind showing his appreciation for Jirachi. She stated that they should go, which Marcellus couldn't agree more. Liz turned to Cronus claiming he was her hero, Cronus looked to her, hesitating for a fraction of a second. Unsure how to take the thanks and praise. It wasn't exactly often that he received it. "You should be thanking Nagi for taking the bullet." He replied calmly, negating the conversation away from himself. "I don't know, that was quite the production up there." Marcellus replied, having finally recovered from the idea of watching someone get flattened. He now had a small smirk to his soft smile as he teased Cronus. Cronus knew the male appreciated the plan, but his comment did earn him a leer form the side of the Mewtwo's eyes, but Marcellus's expression didn't change. Once Liz commented on who wanted to leave, it was a pretty unanimous decision amongst his group. Cronus looked to Julian, seeing a possibility of him wanting to go elsewhere, and if so Cronus would be willing to teleport him any where he wanted to go, after the night they had they all deserved something. But if he wanted to go back to ecruteak then he would teleport along with them.XXXXX In an instant the group would be standing back in Ecruteak City. The town was very quiet, not only physically but also spiritually its quiet. Being around so many psychic's Marcellus was able to appreciate the quietness of the town. DON'T YOU CRY NO MORE Julian gratefully accompanied Liz and Marcellus back to Ecruteak City, though he made it clear that he wouldn't be able to stay for long. The only thing that entire event proved to him was that no matter where he went, there was going to be trouble. Every big gathering or event he'd ever attended had ended in a big fight, and he was determined to grow stronger so as to be ready for the next one. He though his team might have been able to handle the Hoopa in a six-on-one fight, but the fact that he wasn't sure only cemented the idea that he needed to train, to get stronger. Besides, there was the eighth Johto Region Gym Badge to earn. Claire was waiting for him. If he had any say about it, then that battle was going to happen very soon. He needed to get in as much training as possible, because he still doubted he was capable of defeating her in a real battle. Not even the help of two Legendary Pokemon would even the score if she was as strong as he believed. Others had told him that she was no joke, and not to be taken lightly, and he'd believed them. Marcellus was in a hurry to get out of his clothes, and as Julian looked down at his worse-for-wear suit, he was eager to do the same. He hadn't realized just how bad that fight had gotten, but he could see it on each of them now. Liz, Marcellus, even their Pokemon looked like they were in need of a bath. Or two. He returned all of his Pokemon, heading towards the Pokemon Center. He handed each of the Pokeballs over to the Nurse, even those who had not been in his active party, for them to be checked over and tidied up. While that was taking place, Julian was getting a new pair of clothes ready and then he went off for a well-deserved shower. BACKPACK

Elizabeth Morgan It took a lot not to immediately frown as Julian went on his way again. She couldn't bring herself to smile either, leaving Liz with quite the blank expression as her young friend went off to continue his own adventure. It felt like they hadn't been back together for very long. It wasn't Julian's fault, he had places to be and things to do too. She couldn't expect him to hang around waiting on her to move up in the Gym Challenge forever. "Be safe, Julian. Call us when you finish!" She shouted after him even though he couldn't hear her. She hoped Espeon shared that message. With Marcellus' declaration that he too wanted to get some rest and recovery in, she nodded quickly. "I've not been to many balls, bot I don't think they're supposed to leave me feeling more messy than when I arrived!" She remarked loudly, stretching her arms over her head and yawning. With Marcellus still around Liz was willing to take a break and get some rest before she moved on. She liked traveling with her friends. Sometimes you had to slow down to do that. That was fine with her. Marcellus and Cronus were good company to walk around with.

Marcellus obviously wasn't a number one fan of Julian, but he had grown not to hate the teenager. That being said, had he been invited to watch the battle between Julian and that Gym Leader, he would have had to decline. There are a few things that Marcellus wouldn't be able to hide his disdain for, and Dragons are one of them. Be both hated and feared them. Granted he had definitely made that clear with Julian, and even Emiri. Barely tolerating them being around for Emiri's sake. Thankfully for him, they preferred to stay outside of his house when Emiri came to visit. He would have had to take his leave instead. This way he got to keep his friend and avoid dragons. That was at least a win win. They said their goodbyes, Marcellus would have let Julian and Liz have their moment alone, before telling him to destroy the gym leader. Marcellus genuinely hoped he would take her out. As they made their way to their nightly accommodations, Marcellus was a bit disappointed as they moved towards the Pokecenter. He was fully willing to get both Liz and Julian a room at a hotel for the night, but he did not have the energy to protest. Granted he wasn't sure there were too many places in Ecruteak that could house them. As they made their way in, Liz stated she hadn't been to a ball but she didn't think it should end up like that."You are correct there." Possibly a bit of dancing but Marcellus usually enjoyed socializing and networking.
As they parted ways to get a good shower in, Marcellus stepped away and with the help of Cronus got his sleeping attire, and sent his rather unique outfit back to their house for repair, or possibly just scraps. He handed his Pokeballs off with Nurse Joy as well, and returned back to the room. They readied for bed as he heard Liz speak up again, asking if it was normal for them to turn out as poorly as it had. "No, It definitely is not normal for tragedies and the like to happen." He explained, pausing for a moment as he thought about the Halloween themed ball he had attended, and if he felt comfortable speaking about it. "Only once before have I been to a Ball that ended so poorly, and quite worse actually. However that was a very isolated incident " He explained to her as they both climbed into bed. Elizabeth Morgan Marcellus' explanation deserved a respectful ear. Pleasant conversation. Maybe even a reply. Instead, Liz got so bored thinking about a real ball he was answered with a soft snore as the redhead had blanked right out. She did not want to go to another ball. If people weren't getting hurt, then she was stuck talking to boorish people with no sense of common decency because they're so rich.
Liz's dreams were unusual but starting to become something she expected lately. The weird Alter Liz was remarking on her behavior today but she also got some praise for making friends with the Duchess' son and servant. No nightmare was a good change of pace. Or maybe it was different. The noblewoman's face as she was being taken away plagued her guilty mind until she woke with a start before the sun rose. Did Cronus know what her dreams were? She hoped not. Mewtwo might know a lot of things but that didn't mean he should have to deal with someone's weird thoughts and dreams. She slipped out of bed and collected her things so as to avoid waking her companions. Once she was out and able to change in another room, she decided to go explore Ecruteak City for a little while. Her Pokemon were kept in their balls for now, letting the young woman go shopping without having to worry about one of them getting up to some trouble. Plus, Vee was kind of a big deal. He didn't need to come out and play. Not in public anyway. She was lucky Ecruteak was still a pretty big city, finding shops that were open this early with the sun still only just beginning to peer out over the horizon. For a girl scared of Ghost and Dark Types, Liz was weirdly comfortable in the early dawn. Enough light to see by but still plenty of dark places to hide if she had to. She finished shopping and returned to the Pokemon Center where she hoped to catch Marcellus only now waking. She didn't want to have to wait all morning for him to get up, but she also had no intention of waking him herself. It was also fun to catch Marcellus not looking his absolute best sometimes. He was exhausted and joined her in sleep soon after. Marcellus's dreams were much less eventful. Normally Marcellus didn't have nightmares after such events, granted the Orient Ball wasn't as traumatic as previous perils he's been in. Normally after such exhaustion he slept a dreamless night. He almost believed that Cronus had caused this in the past to ensure a better sleep after these events, however he wasn't entirely sure. Elizabeth Morgan Liz pretended not to hear Marcellus' remark about being up early. It was no big deal. So what if she couldn't sleep? It was nobody's business but her own. Then again...he might pry if she didn't say something. "I was restless after all the excitement." Not exactly a lie yet still she managed to foul it up. Her restlessness wasn't related to the Ball. The Ball was just the topic she was discussing...with herself. His questions didn't involve her surprising punctuality for the morning and that was nice. "Azal--Oh! Yes! Absolutely!" She knew she still had a Journey to continue but it had slipped her mind where her next step on that track was! "Of course we're headed back to Azalea Town. I can't be Julian's cheerleader forever...who would want a useless trainer following them around, right?" She announced without a thought for how self-deprecating she sounded. She still smiled brightly like she hadn't said anything unusual. To her credit, she hadn't done much in a while. She was feeling like she wasn't very helpful in their adventures. "Let's go smash some Bugs!" She cried enthusiastically. No way was she going to let herself stay so far behind forever. She had her own pride and her own strength to move forward!
Liz had to pause on her way back out, staring quietly at the strange stand that hadn't been there earlier this morning. Or maybe she was crazy. The redhead moved toward the game booth without much thought as to when, or how, this had been set up without being noticed...wait, why was nobody looking at it? She probably shouldn't be approaching this thing. "Such a slow day...fancy a game?" Mused the booth's tenant, watching Liz with eerie eyes. Why did a person remind her of those creepy paintings that followed you around? She didn't dwell on it. Games were fun! The young woman forced a smile in spite of her chilling unease, accepting the ping pong balls while looking at the toys swimming around in the bowls. First shot sailed over the far bowl. Then she undershot it. It bounced around three bowls' lips but ultimately fell between and rolled off the table. Her third shot managed to skip the bowl she was aiming for, but the splash of water sapped most of its momentum, causing it to plop right into the water of the next bowl without incident. Succeeding once helped her confidence--carnival games were rigged anyway--but now she was determined to find ways through the pattern. The fourth ball dented on the edge of a bowl, which threatened to crack from the force of her throw! Liz smiled sheepishly and threw her last shot, mixing the direct route with a little bit of arc...Plip! The ball looked like it would skip the water like before, but instead it sank in partway, then bobbed up to the surface! That was a win, right? "I won!" She declared without confirming what she'd done. Two out of five was way better than most people! Carnival games were weird, and hard, and rigged, but that didn't mean you couldn't win!

He offered the 5 balls, and then stepped aside, allowing her plenty of room to make her shots. Meanwhile, the Gentleman's eyes never left Liz, as if she were alone and Marcellus didn't exist. Even though he had stepped aside, and seemingly faced another direction, his eyes never left the red head. She made her first 3 failed attempts, only then did his eyes leave the young woman. His eyes followed the ball through the air with his eyes as they successfully landed in the water. After an exclamation of her win he stepped up again. "You did indeed, young lady!" He confirmed, taking a step back, and reaching under the counter of his booth. He pulled out a tan looking egg, with green circular spots all around it. "Here is the prize! Since it's been such a quite day, I made sure to grab you a good one!" He told her with a grin, and a friendly wink rather then flirtatious one. He would hold it out for her to take, and refuse to take it back if she tried it.Liz Morgan has received: Bad Egg- Bad Egg is a hold item that immediately will attach itself to one of your active party Pokémon of your choice. - It will not count as a hold item, so you do not need to replace its current hold item if it is holding one. - Whether the Pokémon of choice is physically holding the Egg it will still receive its effect. - The Effect this egg has is bad luck. He couldn't tell where it was coming from, especially after everything they had been through. He looked at her almost confused, unsure if he misunderstood a joke. "I don't believe you're useless at all. Especially after seeing the battle last night." He reminded. Had it not been for Liz's Nagi they might not have beaten Hoopa. As for her physical participation, she was willing to run head first into danger to help the blonde woman and safe her. Definitely not useless. "But, you are some what right about one thing." He began, raising a finger and gingerly pointed it at her for emphasis. "Julian does not need a cheerleader following him around. His ego is already large enough." Marcellus stated calmly. It could have be taken as a joke, but Marcellus definitely meant it. He turned and made his way towards the door as if he hadn't said anything at all. XXXXX Once outside, Marcellus looked around at the surroundings to try and get his bearings on where they were and the direction they needed to go in. He brought a finger to his lips as he thought for a moment, taking a few steps. "I believe we just need to got his way to-" He began to speak, taking a moment for him to notice Liz had run off. He hadn't even noticed the booth to begin with, which he found odd. Marcellus had stopped himself and slowly drifted after Liz. This was fairly peculiar to him, what looked like a carnival game in the middle of Ecruteak City. The male didn't look at Marcellus at all as he stepped up beside Liz. As she played the game, Marcellus looked around with a look of suspension. This definitely didn't feel right to him. "Elizabeth?" Marcellus chimed quietly trying to get her attention without drawing too much from the man running the booth."I don't think you should play the-" Marcellus began to warn, glancing in the surrounding area, expecting to be ambushed or pick-pocketed. However Liz announced she had won, causing him to flinch. He looked back to her, as she began to receive her prize. "Congratulations, But I think we should continue on our way to stepping on insects." Marcellus tried to gingerly remind Liz. Elizabeth Morgan Liz was so excited by the fact she won, she didn't think too hard about the egg. She eagerly accepted the prize and smiled brightly at Marcellus. Maybe she shouldn't have gone running toward the sketchy, mysterious game booth but now she had this cute egg! Unbidden, Belle popped out of her Pokeball. The Tsareena was as surprised to see everyone as they were to see her. Liz stumbled as she walked forward, crying out in panic as she fell forward with the egg flying free of her hold. Belle reacted faster than she could think about it, catching the egg on the end of her foot, bouncing it up into the air, and catching it in her arms just as Liz fell flat on her face. Belle looked at Marcellus and Cronus like they somehow would know what exactly was going on now. While she was distracted trying to understand her predicament Belle failed to notice the spots on the egg shimmer briefly into a sickly green light. The Egg was bonded to Belle, for better or worse. "Right! So! ...Where were we going?" Liz had managed to dust herself off and get up like nothing unusual had happened. She had rather rudely ignored Marcellus' direction to play a game, now she was paying for it in being uncertain where to head next. "Thank you, Belle! I almost dropped that poor egg and you saved it!" She knelt down and, after a brief standoff with Belle uncertain she should even give the Egg back, reclaimed the baby Pokemon from her Tsareena. Liz now looked expectantly to Marcellus with a shy smile. She felt bad that she had ignored him before. Of course she was going to be coy knowing he had no reason to help her after all that. She seemed to have earned herself a Pokemon Egg. Stranger things have happened, so an egg itself shouldn't be too harmful. He just did not like the vibe of the man running the booth. A little egg never hurt anyone and possibly it could end up hatching into something interesting. He was pulled from his thoughts as Belle suddenly appeared unprompted. Marcellus turned to see the fruit queen, giving her a curious expression. With all his psychic type Pokemon, he was used to Pokemon just popping themselves out of their Pokeball, but it was very interesting to see Belle do it. However, he wasn't too sure she kicked her way out seeing her expression was just as curious and confused as his was. Shortly thereafter, a flurry of bright red hair waved past him as Liz tripped and hit the ground. Marcellus looked down to her in shock but let out a gasp as he realized the Egg was thrown. Marcellus moved to try and run for the Egg, but Belle was quick to catch it with her foot and pop it up into her hands. The white-haired trainer had to pause for a moment to not only process what had happened, but also calm himself. He didn't have to worry about the sight of a broken egg and whatever would come out of it. He was at a lack of words, as he looked to Belle. The series of events had happened so fast. Found a mysterious man, won an egg, Liz fell and threw said egg, and Belle caught it. Had he been out, Marcellus would have drilled Cronus on the odds of everything that had happened and why. But sometimes Marcellus enjoyed his time without the genius Pokemon, he felt like he could relax a bit more without Big Brother always in the back of his mind. Liz then popped up asking about their next step as if nothing happened. Marcellus only managed to let out a soft "Ahh...."as he regathered his witts. He looked back to the mysterious man who hadn't moved or changed his expression, his eyes only trained on Liz and now Belle. XXXXX He recovered fairly quickly, turning away from the mysterious man, he was not going to question it. Questions lead to answers, which lead to trouble most often. Liz had won an egg, and he was ready to move on before they get sucked back into something. "Yes, Azalea Town" He spoke, reminding them of the goal at hand. Marcellus once again looked around himself to gage where he was, as Belle began to walk rather confidently in a direction. Well, he would say it was confident considering it was in the wrong direction. "Actually, we will be traveling in this direction." Marcellus corrected and started to walk in the direction of the skyline in the distance. "The quickest route I believe would be to travel through Goldenrod, then the Ilex forest. The other path we would have to walk through a cave, which I would personally like to avoid." Marcellus explained as he had begun to start to walk. He had explained himself as if it were an optional game plan, however he had already set his own in motion as he begun his walk to Goldenrod, in the opposite direction Belle had started.
