Hello everyone! It seems that we have yet to utilize the OOC here in the forum, so I’m going to take the opportunity to get things started. A good role play group takes more than just role play posts and characters, it also takes getting to know your fellow role players and making those connections. I quoted all of you here to show you how many other active role players there are in the forum right now, and hopefully there will always be more to come. This is a solid group of role players, a good strong number, and we want to make sure everyone feels welcome here! So please, use the OOC, start getting to know each other, introduce yourselves here and see if you can find common interests. I can start by giving some preliminary questions here for everyone to answer if you would like, that way it might begin as a conversation starter! How long have you been playing/been involved with Pokemon? What was your first game? What’s your favorite generation? Do you play Pokemon Go? What team are you on? What level? What’s some of your best Pokemon? How long have you been role playing? Who are your character(s) here in the forum? What do you have planned to do with them? Are you looking for a travel companion? My name is Elemental Paradisity, for those who might not be aware. I can go by either Emiri, Ele, or Paradisity here on the forum. I am twenty three years old and live in the central United States.
I have been a part of Pokemon Hidden Legends for over seven years now and have been the moderator for almost five years since we have moved sites and the role play itself. I’ve been role playing within the realm of nine years or so, not quite sure exactly how long, but I do know that I had been role playing for a bit before I had joined Hidden Legends in 2010. Writing has become my one true passion, the one thing that I’ve always been good at, so I’ve been writing in general for as long as I can remember, but didn’t get serious about it until I was in the middle of high school.
In regards to Pokemon in general, I’ve been involved for as long as I can remember. Like most, I grew up with it, watching the cartoon when it would come on, if I managed to sc together enough money I played the games if I could get them, but I most avidly collected the cards when I was younger. I have about fifteen years’ worth of Pokemon cards, by no means an impressive collection compared to some of the others I’ve seen over the years, but I do take pride in my own collection and tend to it regularly. I’ve played most, if not all of the games, including some of the off series games like Mystery Dungeon, Conquest, the ranger series, and some of the mobile games like Shuffle, and Pokemon Duel. Diamond was my first game and first generation when I was relatively cognizant of what I was doing as I was younger, so I suppose one could say that Sinnoh was my first generation.
I also do play Pokemon Go, not as avidly as most, but I play when I have the free time. I am a level 29 Valor with a Tyranitar as my best Pokemon, but I have recently captured the four legendary birds that have been released to the game, and that presently is my greatest achievement.
I have five characters thus far in the role play that you might see around here from time to time, my oldest and longest standing characters being Emiri and Rhienne Virray. Emiri is a flying type trainer aspiring the become the champion of Kanto who has been traveling on her journey for almost four years or so, and her starter Pokemon and most trusted companion is her Charizard whom she has been through life and death with. She is reserved and tends to stay away from people in general, but she can a completely loyal friend or an even more fierce adversary depending on how she interacts with certain people. Rhienne is a peculiar trainer who errs mostly on the side of supernatural based Pokemon like ghost and psychic type Pokemon, but she will train anything she might feel she can gain a deep emotional connection with, or something she feels might draw a crowd for her performances. Her starter Pokemon is her Quilava Kyoko, but the two don’t exactly get along even after years of traveling together. Her go to Pokemon are her Alakazam Absolem and Cheshire the Haunter, and she has been traveling for about two years or so on her journey.
I do have my other characters, Phineas Howe, Copper Abernathy, and Demeter Becartiae who I have been working with for a few years each, and I am always open for interaction with any of my characters if you would like to role play together!

Greetings there fellow Role-players. My Name Is Preston, I'm rather new to this Forum, been here for about 2 months now i believe. I'm 23 Years old and live on the wester part of the United States. Being in this group so far has been really fun and eventful! its slowly opening myself up to better styles of roleplaying. I have a passion in my roleplaying and making art, my art mainly does consist of pokemon art.
Now about my life and how it connected with pokemon. When i was 3 years old my parents got my a Game Boy color for christmas and along with it was pokemon yellow, pokemon red, and pokemon blue. Of course i didn't know about it so i could only watch, but once i got to actually play it my first game i played was my friends Yellow version. The first pokemon i had caught was a ponyta. Ever since the day i started Pokemon, it has been a big point of my life. Ive played and owned all the versions of pokemon so far. I also grew up with the cartoon and am currently to this day trying to catch up and find those episodes i missed. My favorite game i had was my Crystal Version, it has a story on why. At the point in the game where you go to the tin tower and Suicune approaches to battle, I couldn't ever catch it cause it struggled overtime, and when i had finally caught it i couldn't save cause the game died leaving me in an upset state where i hadn't played for 2 weeks. But when i came back to battle Suicune i got this sparkle effect when the battle started, understanding the red gyarados had the same effect i eventually caught the suicune and found out it was shiny. To this day i still have the Suicune and quickly Suicune became my number 1 favorite pokemon and partner. I do play Pokemon Go, i wasn't playing when it died and didn't have the raids. But when the raids came i got back into it. Im lv 27 with a team of 2 Lugia, a Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno. Also having a Gyarados, 4 Tyranitars and my team of Arcanines and Rapidashs. I am on Team Mystic because of blue being my favorite color and i love articuno out of the three, However i am a member of the so called Team Harmony.
At the moment i only have one Character in the forum, you may see him around here or there. Even when i haven't been here, i have been building my character up on places like Facebook and messenger. His name is Skylar Soren, his dream is to become a water type Master. He got the idea when he first encountered the Legendary Suicune. Currently his most trusted pokemon is his shiny Ponyta and his Chikorita who is also his starter. The Chikorita is quite affectionate towards the trainer, which makes it look really cute. His home is currently in Ecruteak city and he plans on going around to take on the gyms and winning the badges to take on the league. Skylar is quite friendly and always loves to make new friends. Feel free if you see him, he is always looking for more friends. He can also be headstrong at times and rush into things without thinking, but with this he is also one heck of a loyal friend and won't be one to turn away from his friends.
Another Character i have that i haven't introduced here is my Character named Preston Yvonne. he is and can be a bit of a wild card. So if you wish to role-play with any of my characters, feel free to, the more the merrier i say. I look forward to roleplaying with you all.

Hello everyone!
I thought I'd jump in and introduce myself as well! I am the White Prince of Wonderland, here to reign in my kingdom of Hidden Legends. I'm here to bring disorder and a bit of kookiness and fun! You can call me Prince, and I've been in Hidden Legends for seven years now as of July. Outside of Pokemon Hidden Legends, I am currently located in Texas. I am a Ravenclaw, I've escaped Arkham Asylum, Trained under Professor Xavier, barely escaped Lake lachrymose with my life, and now I'm currently a Psychic/Water trainer. I am currently fighting on Team Mystic, and will always have a Jynx on my team. Outside of training, I work full time, and enjoy writing and roleplaying in my spare time. I am a sucker for a villain, and fun characters with powers. I enjoy fun times and action packed situations in stories. I'm a cosplayer, my best friend and a few good friends usually do all the hard work and creating the costumes, and I get to sit there and look pretty. And I adore it!
My experience with Pokemon probably started out like everyone else. I remember getting ready for first and second grade, watching Pokemon. I remember getting playing cards in Happy Meals form McDonald's, and playing half ass games with my sister with the three cards we had. Weedle, Kakuna, and Beedrill. I always got stuck with Weedle and Kakuna. But Over time I was given Pokemon Yellow, and every Birthday, Christmas or Easter I got one or two new games. I pretty much had every Gameboy game and I don't think I ever really got to finish all of them. As I said before, I am Team Mystic, and I will represent. I am level 25, and my highest CP Pokemon, and my top six are Rhydon, Golem, Alakazam, Jynx, Exeggutor, and Feraligatr and in that order. I wasn't kidding about Jynx always being in my team. I am a collector, not so much of a battler, but I do dabble in gyms.
I technically have five characters, but only four of them are here and in use. My oldest Characters are Mika, and Marcellus. Mika was my first, however his muse died in Mt. Mortar, and he has gone off to finish his aspirations, and is currently filming a movie. A trilogy. So we was demoted to an NPC, and I don't really use him anymore. Marcellus however has no where to go but up. He has recently achieved his 8th badge and is sitting pretty as he trains to become the next champion of Hoenn. He's taking things easy and slow right now, realizing he's quickly becoming out of his league, so he's going to stay home for a while and maybe drift. Now I'll really get to explore who he is, and who he'll be come, I have a real interesting future set out for him. Next is Ridley, she's a bundle of fun, going around arguing with everyone she meets. But she sure is handy in a time of need. I have a very interesting future for her too. I also have Alec and Apollo drifting around. I usually like roleplaying with others, now Alec really does not work well with others, but my other characters enjoy company, and right now Marcellus and Ridley could use someone to be with. Ridley is a drifter, and Marcellus likes traveling, so if you want to roleplay just shoot me a message! |

Well, um, I'm Deltafairy! If anyone wants to do so, they're free to call me "Delta", or "Bree". I haven't been here very long, as far as the forum here goes. But, I have very much enjoyed my time spent here thus far! It's been wonderful finding such a mature, welcoming, and nice Pokemon-RP community. "Irl" I'm not much to sneeze at however. I live in North Carolina, as a stay at home artist, essentially. Due to my disabilities I'm rather limited. But, that's alright, I manage as best as I can! Even if I have to hobble around everywhere, and look like a human bendy straw, I do my best! I do art commissions, fan art, and often times adult art as my "job". In my spare time, aside from RP, I generally enjoy anime/manga, video games, and some trading card based pastimes. I do a lot of roleplay other than Pokemon-based one as well! I dabble in a variety of subjects, with a variety of characters (all of varying moralities, species, etc.), as well as a variety of genres! Unfortunately, there's not too much else to me other than that. I'm an extreme introvert, with very little finances, and mostly just sit at home doing whatever I can at the time.
As far as Pokemon goes however, I have been a fan since the Red, Blue, and Yellow days! Yellow was my very first game as a child, and still holds a special place in my heart even today. Though, unlike many, generation one is not my favorite. I'd have to say Generation 4, or 7, is my favorite thus far! Though, Magikarp is my favorite Pokemon, and has been for quite some time. Other than the main series game I've played most of the spin off games! My favorites are probably Pokepark: Pikachu's Adventure, Pokepark 2: Wonders Beyond, or Pokemon Conquest. I've also read most of the manga(s), and seen almost every episode of the anime (including the films)! Pokemon has been, and always will be, a very special part of my life. I have tried a bit of Pokemon Go, but due to my health I can't really play it due to my inability to walk around well. But, I do have some nice Pokemon! I am on Team Instinct. I think my best Pokemon is the Dragonite I caught near my local post office. As far as the games go however, my prized Pokemon is a Gyarados by the name of River that I own. He's been with me for a long time now.
Magikarp (and in relation, Gyarados) is so meaningful to me due to my childhood. When I was growing up, I was bullied heavily. Beaten up, spit on, sexually harassed, and worse. From first grade until I graduated high school. Having parents who were less than involved with raising me (they were the type to give me a toy, go watch TV, and call that parenting) and having 0 friends, Pokemon was all I had. The Pokemon were my only friends. One day at school, people were making fun of me for playing it (I snuck my gameboy color to school. Them playing it was cool as Pokemon was popular then, but I was horrible for being a GIRL who liked video games.) and were also making fun of a specific Pokemon. Magikarp. They called it worthless, pathetic, and talked about how no one would ever want it. That it should be dead, and not even in the game. The same sort of things they said to me, and how they even from a young age encouraged me to "just go die". So, I bought the in-game Magikarp. His name was River. River quickly became my favorite Pokemon, best Pokemon, and first to level 100. He was my everything. Especially when he evolved. I thought maybe if Magikarp could evolve into something so amazing, awesome, and powerful that everyone loved.. Maybe I could grow up and be something good too. As silly as it might sound, Magikarp kept me away from suicidal thoughts from a very young age. I lost River to cartridge damage, and couldn't even bring myself to raise another Magikarp for years. Finally in Soul Silver I brought myself to do it again, and raised another Magikarp also named River in honor of the original. He's been with me ever since, and I still have him. He's been with me through Heart Gold, Soul Silver, Platinum, Black, White, Black 2, White 2, X, Y, Omega Ruby, and now Moon. I transfer him to every single new game that releases that I get so I'll always have him. When you gained the ability to pet your Pokemon and care for them in X/Y, I broke down sobbing because I could actually pet River, and love on him. Needless to say, he gets plenty of pets, and Pokebeans.
As far as roleplaying goes however, I have been doing so for many years! I'm 23 now, and have been roleplaying since I was about 11 or 12. As mentioned above I dabble in many subjects! I'd have to say "high fantasy" and things with a medieval theme are probably my favorites, though. Most of my characters are designed with that in mind!
Here on the forum I only have one character so far, Eric Ninon. He is a young trainer whom I hope to develop over the course of traveling all the regions, having a plethora of adventures within! He's a timid, inexperienced, little thing and I hope to see him grow throughout his life experiences here on the forum! I even plan to draw some of his adventures as he goes along as mementos of sorts! So, here's hoping he has a grand adventure filled with action, emotion, conflict, self discovery, and more! |

I was going to offer, if you would like, Freedom and I are presently role playing in Jubilife City if you would like to meet up with us to get some interaction? Once you exit from the laboratory into Sandgem Town, you would just need to make three posts and you could move to Jubilife City where you could meet up with our characters if you would like?

Yes, that's absolutely correct. It takes 3 posts in a thread in order to move to the next one, and you can see which threads are attached to each other through the map in the very first post for each location. For example, from Sandgem Town, you wouldn't be able to make three posts and move to Oreburgh City, you would have to go through Sandgem Town, then Jubilife City, the Oreburgh Gates, and then you could arrive in Oreburgh City.
Likewise, you will need to keep your Pokémon's information and your inventory in your posts at all times. Your party Pokémon will gain +1 exp for every RP post that you make, and it helps us as the moderators keep track of your team as well. If you need any help with that, anything at all, please let me know, and I will be more than happy to assist you.

Oh, I apologize if that wasn't clear, you have unlimited pokeballs and unlimited potions to start, so you don't have to worry about running out of those.

Heh. Not actually what I meant. By “Ice Eater” I was referring to something used in Final Fantasy X. When you upgraded your resistance to immunity, it was possible to upgrade it one stage further. Absorbing the damage. They called it “Eater” like Natsu from Fairy Tail. The character “eats” attacks of that element and gains health instead of taking damage. What Type does that 9 make?
It makes the immunities Ice and Fairy types. The numbers and types go based off of the NPC trainer type list. That's our standard go to when rolling for types. |

I scrolled through the Attacks list and realized that certain Types were showing up in sequence that way. Except...Normal and Psychic I think. Pretty sure they were reversed as 17 and 18 in that order. Good to know how the sequence is decided. Although I am curious if that absorption thing could be an option. Probably not now, but in the future. I might play with the concept of "eating ice" as a way of showing off Riolu's immunity though. It'll be cute to watch it chomp down on ice attacks to destroy them. Acting like they're treats and dancing around as a "thank you" for the snacks. |
