"An excellent place for relaxing."
At the very southern base of Mt. Chimney in the midst of all the mountains in central Hoenn, Lavaridge town stands proud despite it's destructive location. Using the natural warmth and heat from the volcano, Lavaridge town actually has a series of hot springs that are what puts this town on the map, said to have healing properties that can heal and cure any ailment. Despite the treacherous landscape around it, Lavaridge Town is almost more of a resort community with the people that come to relax with the hot spring, and some of Lavaridge is actually a retirement community for the elderly who come to use the hot springs to keep rejuvenated.
{ Lavaridge City Gym (Click)}Flannery is the official Gym Leader of Lavaridge Town's hot springs Gym. She specializes in Fire-type Pokémon and gives out the Heat Badge to Trainers who defeat her. Flannery has rightfully earned the title of " The One with a fiery passion that burns!" She is admired not only for her beauty, but also her strength and dedication as a Gym Leader. She's only recently taken over as the Gym Leader for her Grandfather, who has trained her since she was young, and she tries to act intimidating but can't quite get it right. Flannery feels a great deal of pressure to be a perfect Gym leader, as well as to make sure the Hot springs is running swimmingly, and sometimes can get in over her head. Not only is she the Gym Leader, but she also works part time at the spa her Gym also features. She and her Pokemon help out by running the hot springs, and making sure they stay the right temperature. She also, little known fact, is a well trained massage therapist for both humans and most Pokemon. When she's not battling on the Gym side, or working on the Spa side, she can be found visiting the top of Mt. Chimney and just relaxing with her Pokemon in the sun, or even just helping out around town. Her gym sits in the back of the Town, at the foot of Mt. Chimney. The gym appears to be very large, and built in a traditional Chinese style. The gym is surrounded by a large white wall, with red roofing, which all lead to the entrance. The entrance is a beautiful archway which leads to the main part of the Gym. Just past the archway is a small courtyard which leads directly to the actual gym itself, which is the largest and tallest building within the walled in area. Once in the doorway, The room open up into a large open room where the Chinese style architect continues. The walls are still white, with deep red accents to them, which continued onto the roof of the tall building, where golden accents begin in ornate designs. The field however, appears to be a normal battle field. It's completely flat, and is merely the ground, for convenience of the battle and structure of the gym itself. Both battlers will have to stand on the ground, level with their battling Pokemon. On each side of the field is stands for those who want to watch the battle. Surrounding the actual Gym building is multiple buildings, all connected by screened in wooden hallways. Each building is dedicated to different forms of spa treatments, for both human and Pokemon alike. The spa features separate buildings for; the Hot Spring (one for men, woman, Pokemon, and co-ed), steam rooms, saunas, massage therapy of all types, and even meditation. All of which, the rooms are completely sound proof, and risen off the grounds to ensure a tranquil experience, one of which will be unaffected by the gym battles. {Gym Trainer (Click)} Sadie Slugma Lv. 30 HP 230 Male Ability: Flame Body: The opponent has a 3/10 chance of being Burned when using an attack that requires physical contact against this Pokémon. Just like that, they were over the open ocean. It was stunning to say the least. In the distance they saw a storm, and Julian knew to avoid those out at sea so he took Pidgeot around the storm; even if it would take them a bit longer. After a few hours of travelling by air, Julian was stiff and sore but they landed in a place Julian's Father had once told him about - pointing to it on a map. It was supposedly the most relaxing place his Father had ever visited. Julian knew this would be the first place he visited.
He recalled both Pidgeot and Noctowl into their respective Pokeball, thanking them each as he did so. This was crazy, he was in a whole different Region! He had thought about visiting home, but he wanted to capture the remaining two Johto League Badges before he did so to show them he could do it.

Julian Malcolm
It was time for a nice, relaxing vacation. The sun was so warm here, especially compared to Johto where it was the middle of Fall. Although, Julian suspected the hot springs and natural heat from this land had something to do with the amazing temperature here. It was just like taking a Summer vacation in Autumn.
Julian called out all of his Pokemon, including Noctowl and Pidgeot. "Sorry guys. Now that I think about it, you'd probably be more comfortable finding a nice place in the sun to stretch your wings and nap." The nodded, and flew off. Then he looked at everyone else. "Go on, have fun. Noctowl and I will call out when it's time to leave." They didn't need to be told twice, everyone basically scattered.
It didn't take Typhlosion long to find the hot sands, and plop down in the warmth all spreadeagled like a bearskin rug. Umbreon and Espeon hesitated at their Trainer's side. He saw their pause, and shooed them on. They went off to explore the quaint, cozy little town. Phanpy sounded his little trumpet-nose and started rolling around in the sand - he really did enjoy making designs in snow and sand apparently. "Come on, let's play!" Growlithe said to Persian.
Wait, Persian? When did Meowth evolve?! This was crazy, the Pokemon had never been out of her Pokeball. Did that mean that they could evolve inside of their Pokeball? Julian would have to stop by the Professor's lab on the way home and ask.
Persian swiped her dagger-like claws at Growlithe, who quickly took the hint. "Buzz off." She said, then set to work grooming herself in the warm sands close to - but not too close to as she is a cat - Typhlosion. Quagsire walked beside Julian into the Pokemon Center. His Father had long ago told him that to get to the hot springs, you had to go through the Pokemon Center. And there! An out-of-place wooden door that had to be the one. He walked through, changed in the changing room into his swim-suit, and lead Quagsire to the heated waters. Normally Quagsire like really cold waters, but this was an exception. It was best to relax with warm water after all, and it was the whole point of a vacation to relax.

Hours passed in what seemed the blink of an eye. Julian had become more relaxed than he every remembered being before. All of his Pokemon were making the most of their experience here. Before he knew it, the sun was beginning to set. He begrudgingly slipped out of the hot waters and toweled off. After, he recalled Quagsire - who refused to leave the tub - and then returned to the Pokemon Center then through the front door. "Alright everybody, time to come in!" Nobody wanted to leave their relaxation day, but they all listened to their Trainer. Everyone followed Julian into the Pokemon Center and up to a vacant room to eat dinner and turn in for the night.
Pidgeot preferred to hunt and catch his own food, so rather than joining them in the Center the bird went flying up over the mountain. Meanwhile back at the Pokemon Center, Julian and his remaining team ate soup and Pokemon food. With his soup gone, Julian took time to polish and admire his six badges. It had been a long and challenging road to say the least, and he didn't regret a moment of it. Umbreon and Espeon were already asleep at the foot of his bed, while Persian curled up in the corner. She swiped at Growlithe when he tried to interact with her again. Growlithe in turn went to a different corner.
Julian set the lamp on the ground, and Noctowl perched in it's place. Julian chaperoned Quagsire out to the Water Pokemon aquarium, and then went back to his bed.

Julian Malcolm
The next morning, Espeon and Umbreon woke Julian up from his sleep. Apparently it was time for Nurse Joy to go door to door and wake up the Trainers. Julian recalled everyone except for Noctowl, and his owl followed him through the Pokemon Center. Waiting outside his door was the giant Pidgeot who was perched on the Center's roof. He flew back to the ground, and Julian hitched a ride. Within moments, they were back in the air.
In the air, with Noctowl following closely behind, Pidgeot directed himself in a new direction. "We're going back to the next Gym Leader." He was ready. Out over the open Ocean, a storm hit them out of nowhere. It was baffling how there could be nothing one minute, and a furious storm the next. It was so intense, but Pidgeot was having no problems. Noctowl, however, couldn't handle the wind and Julian needed Noctowl to communicate with Pidgeot. "We have to get out of this storm. There!" In the distance, he could faintly see land. Julian recalled Noctowl, pocketed the Pokeball, and Pidgeot's speed got them down over the land in moments.

JASPER COLE BAD COMPANY I CAN'T DENY BAD, BAD COMPANY 'TIL THE DAY I DIE UNTIL THE DAY I DIE Sandygast apparently did understand the desert like an extension of itself. It took them right out of the desert and up to Lavaridge Town. Jasper was sorely tempted to go right into the Gym, but Rex and Lucky reminded him that he should get Sandygast checked over. "Right. I almost forgot." He admitted, looking down at Sandygast. "Return. I'll have the Nurse check you over first thing." Aiming the black Pokeball at his Pokemon, it was recalled. They walked into the Pokemon Center and Jasper asked the presiding Nurse to check over his Sandygast. She agreed, and he handed over the Pokeball in question.
"Of course." She had him place his Pokeball on a tray, and handed the tray to a Pokemon. "Please take this to the back and I'll check on it in just a minute."Then she looked back to the trio of Pokemon. "Why don't the three of you relax in our famous hot springs for a while, and I'll be sure to let you know when your Pokemon is done with his exam." Well, that sounded like an excellent idea to Rex, Lucky, and Jasper alike. They all changed and made their way through the door to the side.
They all decided to relax there in the pools of water heated from volcanic vents belowIt took the Nurse a few hours to do an exam, either she was busy or she was giving them plenty of time to have a break after making their way through the horrible desert. All of them had washed the sand from their hair and faces first thing, so now they were just laying back in the hot water with all of their Pokemon. There were enough pools that it didn't become crowded. Sandygast may have ben in the Pokemon Center, and Litten wanted nothing to do with water, but Turtonator, Stufful, and Mimikyu were happy to soak. Wearing - Default outfit. JASPER COLE BAD COMPANY I CAN'T DENY BAD, BAD COMPANY 'TIL THE DAY I DIE UNTIL THE DAY I DIE Just as they were about to get out of the water, a Pokemon floated to the top from somewhere in it's depths. "Hi-ya!" Staryu cried out, spinning and trying to get their attention. Jasper looked around at it, trying to figure out what it wanted. He didn't think that these Pokemon ate, so it wasn't looking to be fed. That meant it either wanted them to leave, or wanted him to capture it. It could have just waited for them to leave, because they were already doing that.
"Catching it is." Jasper muttered, pulling out a Pokeball and throwing it at the Pokemon. It pulled the starfish inside and fell into the water, floated there, and started to wiggle back and forth. The light flashed as the Pokemon decided whether to fight the capture or not. At last it sealed with a final solid glow that faded away. "Guess I caught a... what is this?" He looked at Lucky. The brains knew all about Pokemon, and while they were also able to be found in Alola Jasper had never encountered a Staryu before.
"Staryu are Water-Type Pokemon that can also learn a couple Psychic-Type moves. A lot of people think they are aliens that come from space." Jasper raised a brow at that. How very interesting. So now he had an alien and an Ultra Beast. They returned to the Pokemon Center where they retrieved Sandygast's Pokeball. They all changed back into their regular outfits and were about to leave the Pokemon Center when Jasper noticed the Nurse was waving them down.
They went over towards her, and she met them half way. "I couldn't help but notice you caught the Staryu that was outside in the hot springs. I have to admit, it's part of why I encouraged you to go soak in the water to begin with. I was hoping Staryu would choose you. You see, that poor Pokemon has been out there in the waters ever since it was abandoned by it's Trainer, who was angry with it for not being able to defeat the Fire-Type Gym here in Lavaridge."
"I see. So it's a Fire-Type Gym. A Water-Type Pokemon could definitely be a huge asset to the team. "In that case, you hold onto this until I beat this Gym Leader." He said, the idea of losing not even a possibility he was willing to entertain. Lucky accepted Litten's Pokeball to hold onto for the moment. "Take good care of it. And don't lose it." After ensuring that Lucky would care for the Pokeball as if his life depended on it, he left the Pokemon Center with the others in tow.
The Gym was beautifully crafted and inside they were offered a full spa experience for those who were interested. Jasper told the others to go and enjoy the time while he went and took care of business. The first person to stand opposite Jasper was a girl named Sadie who was oddly dressed in red. He guessed that made sense considering she was bound to have Fire-Type Pokemon, but he thought it was going a bit above and beyond the need for such things.
She sent out a Slugma, and Jasper threw out Sandygast's Pokeball. The girl knew at once she was in trouble. Sandygast obviously had the Type advantage. "Let's burn that thing up with Flame Burst!" Slugma shot intense flames at Sandygast, but it shook off the shards of glass that formed around it. With the flames faded at last, it was Sandygast's turn! He used Stone Edge, which rose up and then fell one by one on top of the enemy Fire-Type. It was buried and could no longer escape or battle, so had to be returned.
"That's right. Now return Sandygast." Jasper said, now having imposed his will on two Slugmas. Naturally he couldn't help be reminded of what he'd done to the Slugma and that boy. Perhaps this was payback because the girl called Sadie sent out yet another Slugma to battle with. "We'll end this quickly. Go, Staryu!" Staryu emerged and began to jump up, spinning in dizzying circles before landing again. "Use your strongest move!" He ordered it. Staryu began to spin, only this time didn't stop. It began to generate electricity and soon zapped Slugma with a powerful burst of electricity.
Slugma was Paralyzed! Staryu had surprised everyone on the field with it's display of electricity. Lucky hadn't mentioned anything about Electric-Type attacks, but he wasn't here to be questioned about his lapse in this important detail by Jasper. "Let me rephrase that." Jasper said as the Paralyzed Slugma struggled to move or whip up an attack. It was just too slow, so they had plenty of time. "Use your strongest Water-Type move. " Staryu shot a spray of water that washed over Slugma and sent it back to it's Trainer unconscious.
The girl congratulated her Challenger and left to get the next Gym Trainer. The next one was a male who introduced himself as Jace. Staryu stayed out onto the field, absolutely refusing to leave the fight. Jasper could seriously admire that tenacity. So he just healed the new Pokemon to give it the best shot at fighting off the last two enemy Pokemon. It made short work of Numel in a similar way, by paralyzing it without fail via Zap Cannon and finishing it off by washing it away with Brine.
Then, knowing Staryu was tired after the double battle beforehand, he returned the odd starfish and sent out Litten. The determined and fiery cat took a hit, but kept on lickin'. Or more accurately biting. Fire Fang stacked on top of the Paralysis effect from Staryu was a double-hitter that Koffing was unprepared to handle. It couldn't move or even resist for far too long and the battle turned in the favor of Litten. Though Koffing fought valiantly, Fire Fang took it down oin the end! Litten was victorious.
That was good news for Jasper, it meant he was ready for the next battle. He picked up Litten and healed him, as well as Staryu, but seemed to forget about Sandygast's health. That would come back to bite him in the ass later. JASPER COLE BAD COMPANY I CAN'T DENY BAD, BAD COMPANY 'TIL THE DAY I DIE UNTIL THE DAY I DIE Jasper knew that the Gym Trainers would only be a warm-up compared to the heat that the Gym Leader would bring to the battle. Knowing his best bet was to start the battle with his most type-effective Pokemon, he sent Staryu out onto the field. Flannery appeared and started talking, though he couldn't much care what she had to say. "Yeah yeah, let's just do this already." He retorted, hoping both to shut her up and put her off her game. A frustrated opponent was an opponent with weakness.
She consented to send out her first Pokemon, a Magcargo. Well that wasn't so bad. He'd dealt with fire-slugs all day. He wasn't too worried. "Alright, let's paralyze that thing iwth your Zap Cannon!" He ordered, and Staryu obeyed. The electrical blast swept over Magcargo and left sparks emitting from it's body. "That's what I'm talking about!" He grinned. "Finish it." He ordered. This time, however, Staryu didn't obey right away. He stood over Magcargo, dodging it's attempts to strike and taunting before finally brine-blasting the slug off to the land of sleep.
The next opponent turned out to be a Houndoom. Jasper had never seen one, but he wasn't going to underestimate it. It looked mean. It looked rather like a Pokemon he himself would like to own. Deciding on the spot to counter fire with fire, he sent out Turtonator who was immediately set upon by a succession of Feint Attacks. "Good, now show that mutt what we do to oour enemies!" He said, having seen that Turtonator had withstood the attacks quite well. Turtonator used Stone Edge not once, but twice. The first sent Houndoom into the air, the second shot out at an angle to hit him while he was up in the air and send him crashing back to his Trainer's feet.
"Next." He said, giving her an arrogant grin. It was all part of his attempt to throw her off and make her sloppy in battle. When she sent out a Magmar, Turtonator looked back at his Trainer and -with a look- said that he'd be fine to stay in for this fight too. Magmar and Turtonator collided, throwing heavy blows at one another. Turtonator pushed Magmar back a few paces and then brought his foot down onto the ground. A Stone Edge erupted beneath Magmar and sent him back out of sight behind the rock pillar.
They couldn't tell if they'd knocked it out, but they were soon informed better of that idea. Magmar came used Brick Break on the Stone Edge pillar and it came crashing down right on top of Turtonator. ."No! Turtonator, get up!" But it was no use. Turtonator couldn't even move. "Fine. Whatever. Return." He snapped, recalling his Pokemon.
"I'll take that thing down with Mimikyu." Though Magmar tried to use Lava Plume, Mimikyu escaped unharmed by using it's Disguise as a shield. Though it would have to remake it's outfit, it couldn't think about that right now. Mimikyu began to glow brightly and sent that glow as an energy right at Magmar. At almost the same moment, Magmar used Lava Plume again. Both attacks hit, and both attacks failed to end the fight. "Alright. Use your strongest move!" Mimikyu used Wood Hammer, but Julian forgot to take into account that this was an opponent of fire. It was less effective than it should have been. One last hit and Mimikyu was on the ground, motionless.
"Next." She remarked, shooting off a grin of her own. His face set and he determined that he would not lose this battle under any circumstances. He sent out his white-and-red Litten - very unusual for the species, and the two Pokemon charged one another down and struck, then passed and froze in place. Litten flinched and mewled in pain, but Magmar fell over and lay quite still. "Alright, fine. So you got lucky. My last Pokemon's going to show you who's boss." And with that, she sent out a torkoal. jasper couldn't help but laugh, having expected a Charizard or an Incineroar or something.
"This'll be easy." He told his Litten. "Just Paralyze it. It's already a slow Pokemon, so if it's Paralyzed it'll be slower than ever!" Litten darted forward straight through Torkoal's flames, and landed on it's shel. It licked the back o Torkoal's head and Torkoal froze on the spot. Litten looked smug as it started kicking the Paralyzed Torkoal's shell but suddenly the domed volcano-like structure erupted and sent magma straight up into Litten's belly. Wen the smoke finally cleared, Jasper spotted Litten laying about twenty feet away from where it had been. The cat wasn't moving.
"Damnit." And he realized she'd been right. Torkoal was stronger and tougher than he gave it credit for. He sent out Stufful, but it could only get off a single very unexpected attack before it's four-times weakness to fire left the bear beaten in a pool of magma.
"Looks like we're both down to our last Pokemon." She said, grinning. She must have forgotten about the Staryu, clearly not having recognized it from a previous battle. She had beaten it before, and it had remained in the town abandoned by it's Trainer ever since. Jasper grinned and sent out his Sandygast - also a Shiny. It took one look at Torkoal, strained for a moment, and then solidified a mass of sand into a shard of stone that went flying across the field and struck Torkoal right in the face. Torkoal groaned and collapsed under it's own weight.
Jasper returned all of his Pokemon and left Jasper and Lucky standing nearby to cross the field and retrieve his rewards. gravity_resistantLeader Flannery Flannery returned her Torkoal with a deep calming breath, She had beat which was always a downer, however she was battling a very frustrating trainer. The way he treated his Pokemon, and interrupted and brushed her off really bothered her. She of course began to walk to the middle of the battle field to meet the challenger half way. Normally she would act big and tough but she was too frustrated to try and intimidate this guy, which might be best for everyone given Flannery's awkward past with trying to act tough. She stopped at the halfway mark and crossed her arms, taking another deep breath to calm herself so she didn't make a fool of herself. "Your Pokemon fought well for what they could, But you and your Pokemon definitely need to do a lot of training before challenging Norman. " She advised, trying to take a more constructive approach rather then get upset or argue with him because the fact is he did win and she knew that. "If I had one more Pokemon you would have been toast. You need to have a Bond with your Pokemon so they don't disobey. They have to trust that you want the best for them, not just to win win win." She explained to him. She began to dig out the badge in her pocket and held it out to the male for him to take. Jasper has received: +70 exp split amongst Staryu, Turtonator, Litten, Stufful, Sandygast, and Mimikyu Heat Badge TM 50 Overheat 4th Consecutive Badge Bonus: Bus Pass Good Rod

JASPER COLE BAD COMPANY I CAN'T DENY BAD, BAD COMPANY 'TIL THE DAY I DIE UNTIL THE DAY I DIE
Jasper scoffed and smirked at the Gym Leader. While it was true that she had taken him to his limits, he was practically a brand new Trainer. She was supposed to be the best of the best as a Gym Leader, and he'd beaten her. Close call or not, he'd come out on top. "Yeah, whatever. When you're battling, winning is the only thing that matters." He remarked. Returning his Pokemon, he laughed at her and his two thugs on either side joined in. "Imagine giving out advice to the person who beat you." He scoffed and they all laughed some more.
They left the Gym and turned toward the Pokemon Center. "I'm going to heal these and then we'll be on our way out of this dump." He told his lackeys. The Nurse was rather pleased to see them as they entered. She noted the new badge pinned beside the others and smiled warmly. After congratulating him on his fourth badge, she held out what looked like an ID card. She informed him that he could now use that to request a ride to any Gym City in the Region. All he had to do was insert that into his Pokedex and a GPS signal would be sent out from his location.
"Interesting... so I just-" He inserted the card and his Pokedex informed him that the signal was received, a helicopter would be dispatched to his location shortly. "This will make travel so much easier." He mused. "Too bad I didn't have this before going across that damn desert ten times." She took his Pokemon and had them healed in the span of time it took for their helicopter to show up. They climbed on and the Pilot asked where they wanted to go. "The Gym City with the strongest wild Pokemon."

- Kira Anne Williams - ♪ I'm gonna show you what little girls are made of, gunpowder and - gunpowder and lead! ♪ When she finally got to Lavaridge Town, she knew that she wanted to soak in the hot springs. It was getting late so there was no real need to keep going tonight. She returned Charizard and Salamence. Then, Lucy went off to find a good spot in the hot water. While she did that, Kira went in to the Pokemon Center to find the Nurse tending to a Trainer who'd recently battled the local Gym Leader. Apparently this Trainer had come off worse for wear in this battle, and her Pokemon were in critical condition.
She was happy to wait. While she did, she considered stepping into the Lavaridge Town Gym to battle this Flannery. She was confident that as the fourth Gym Leader in Hoenn, Flannery wouldn't stand a chance against her team. But it was too late to fight her tonight. Kira didn't have the time to waste the next morning. That meant that if she wanted the fourth badge, she was going to have to come back and battle her another day. That was fine, she could live with that.
Then she was talking with the Nurse. Joy was happy to provide Kira with another stamp. She'd made a good start in Hoenn by now. She had six stamps, and by counting out the remaining pages for this Region she figured out that there was less than a dozen remaining. She stuck the book away in her bag and then found a bathroom where she was able to change into her bathing suit. Then she went out, following the psychic connection shared between her and her Pokemon to find Lucy already soaking in a pool by herself.
She joined her, and together they soaked there for a couple hours in friendly silence. When the sun was set, they were still right there. It was nearly midnight when they finally got out and dried off with the towels provided by the Pokemon Center. Then they went in, and both fell asleep almost the moment their heads hit the pillows. They slept like babies after being on the move for so long. The next morning, they got up and ate breakfast that an employee brought directly to their room. They packed, Kira brought out Charizard and Salamence, and then they left.

Elfana Aroway As soon as she saw what sort of town Lavaridge was, Elfana let Kayuki out of her Pokeball. She remembered the enthusiasm the Jynx had showed for the hot spring in Galar. Needless to say, she found herself being dragged along behind Kayuki while she searched for the ideal hot spring for the team. The area she eventually decided on was a short walk from the Pokemon Center. Elfana was able to leave her Pokemon alone for the fifteen minutes it would take for her to walk to the Pokemon Center, collect her stamp, and return. Kiro was the only one who came with her. The rest of her team settled in at the hot spring while she went to talk to the nurse. She was in a decent enough mood that she chatted with the nurse while she waited for her stamp. When her booklet was returned, Elfana and her Toxicroak made their way back to the hot spring. They joined them in the water after Elfana made sure her things were safely stored away. They spent the better portion of their time in Lavaridge relaxing in the hot springs. She was finally able to see why Kayuki had been so enthusiastic about it. They were definitely coming back to Lavaridge and spending a day or two in the hot springs after they were done with their journey.Hoenn

While the circumstances of her time spent there were something Emiri did not want to revisit in the slightest, even shying away from looking out to the mountain range in fear of seeing any glimpse of the memories that were harbored there, what Emiri was fond of were the kind and generous citizens that lived in Lavaridge. Emiri and her Pokemon had a lot of recovery they needed to go through in that time, especially Charizard and Zaron, and the older citizens that tended to them were the reason why Emiri and her Pokemon were able to pick up their broken pieces after the fact. First as they landed, Emiri was elated to see the Nurse Joy again whom had cared for so many of her Pokemon during that time, especially Charizard when she had been near death the way that she was. Emiri was happy to get her stamp from the good nurse, and spent some time talking with her to catch up, while her Pokemon moved about the small town to meet with the citizens that they remembered. The Pokemon Center hadn’t had enough resources at the time to care for every single one of Emiri’s Pokemon, so there were some of the townspeople that had taken in her Pokemon to help nurse them back to health. Emiri came out of the Pokemon Center and it was like a small reunion as some of the townspeople had seen her Pokemon descending from the sky, and the ones that Emiri had spent time with, helping them in their homes and doing chores for them during their recovery all came out to greet her and her pokemon and say hello. It was a little overwhelming, but in a good way as Emiri visited those who she was familiar with, and having acquired her mid way stamp for the region, Emiri chose to stay the rest of the late afternoon and the night in Lavaridge town to revisit with the people who were so generous to her and her Pokemon. Katie Du'Mont♪ My Bartender she's from the islands, her body's been kissed by the sun. Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. Katie climbed gently out of the helicopter, shooting the pilot an appreciative smile and waving as he departed. She looked around at the small mountain village, happy to be out and about again. She had gotten sick of staring at those hospital walls while she went through surgery and recovery. She still suffered from bad dreams, which was confusing to her. Now that Jasper was gone from her life, she thought she would feel happy and free. So it was odd to her that she should still have nightmares and feel so unsure of her place in the world.
All she could do was get back to what she was doing before that final confrontation. The hospital was happy to take her to wherever she wanted to go, so she asked them to drop her off in Lavaridge. Hoopa and Jirachi let themselves out of their Pokeballs now that they were no longer in the scary helicopter. "Where are we?" Hoopa asked, clearly curious about their suddenly new surroundings. Her Pokemon had not been nearly as good at hiding how unhappy they were about being stuck in the hospital.
"That is a volcano!" Jirachi exclaimed, pointing up at the mountain's top. Katie, who had been about to answer the question, looked at Jirachi in surprise. How had the Legendary Pokemon known? Had she been here before? Jirachi noticed Katie's odd look, and grinned. However, the Legendary (clearly intentionally) did not explain further.
Katie shrugged and nodded. "Yeah, that is a volcano. We're in Lavaridge, which was built near one." Hoopa listened, and after learning where they were floated up into the sky to see if he could see any lava. Katie suspected it was long-dormant, and that lava wouldn't be likely but she didn't know for sure. Now that they were here, she wondered if she should go in and face the Gym Leader. She didn't know if they were ready for that challenge, but she didn't know what else to do. Backpack

Katie Du'Mont♪ My Bartender she's from the islands, her body's been kissed by the sun. Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. Katie realized that they were not ready for the next Gym Leader once she saw how powerful the people training outside the Pokemon Center were. Apparently even they struggled against the hot-headed Gym Leader. Sure she had a couple Legendary Pokemon, but they were still just as capable of being defeated if improperly prepared and trained as any of the other Pokemon on her team. Besides, she desperately wanted to find out what Pokemon was hidden within the egg she'd gotten, and had been carrying around for ages. It didn't seem to want to hatch and she couldn't figure out why.
Not even Nurse Joy at the Pokemon Center could help her when she asked, simply stating that sometimes the Pokemon in eggs just wouldn't hatch until they were good and ready. Katie had to admit that she probably was being too impatient. So after getting her Pokemon checked up by the Nurse, they left the Center in search of something to do. They went exploring around the mountains and eventually stumbled across the entrance to a cave. Katie had always loved caves, and exploring their mysteries, so they climbed in. It took longer than usual because Katie was still very stiff and sore from her ordeal.
Once inside, they discovered that there was a narrow tunnel which opened up into a massive cavern that had other tunnels leading off in various other directions. There were a few Pokemon milling around the cave, the closest to them was a Numel which seemed very curious about them. Clearly they weren't used to people discovering their location. Numel charged at them, and Katie drew out a Pokeball quickly. "Buizel, go!" She exclaimed, and the Pokeball released a red light which became the Buizel in question.
Buizel was caught off guard, and couldn't react quickly enough to avoid the already-attacking enemy. The Bulldoze attack landed, but Buizel was a tough little otter and didn't seem phased. In response, Buizel used Surf. The water that she drew from the environment rose up and came washing over the Fire-Type Pokemon. In fact, it was send down one of the tunnels she'd noticed earlier still carried along on the wave. "Good job, Buizel!" She said, kneeling down to pet the otter's head. "Why don't you stay out in case there are more enemies around?" Buizel nodded and looked around to be safe.
TL;DR Numel (180/180) vs Buizel (180/180) Numel used Bulldoze (-50, 130/180) Buizel used Surf (-180, 0/180) Numel has fainted! Buizel receives 12 exp.

Katie Du'Mont♪ My Bartender she's from the islands, her body's been kissed by the sun. Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum Deciding on a whim to battle every single Pokemon in the giant cavern, Katie instructed Buizel to next take out a nearby Geodude with her surf attack. She obeyed instantly, and in a single attack sent Geodude crashing into the wall propelled by a powerful wave. Buizel jumped up into the air in victory, and Katie nodded. "Good job. If we keep battling Pokemon in here, we should be able to beat any of these Pokemon in one blow. Then we might be ready to face the Gym Leader. She has many Fire-Type Pokemon, so you're going to be the most vital for winning this." Buizel listened somberly, the thrill from the victory still there but being suppressed to show that she knew how important this was. Flannery was going to be no joke, but she seemed confident that they would be able to pull through in the end. TL;DR Geodude (170/170) vs Buizel (130/180) Buizel used Surf (-180, 0/170) Geodude has fainted! Buizel receives 10 exp.Backpack

Katie Du'Mont♪ My Bartender she's from the islands, her body's been kissed by the sun. Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. Now that they were already on a roll, it made sense to continue down the path they'd chosen. They would clear out the cave, and then go on to explore the tunnels around them. Katie was good at navigating caves, and remembering her way back so she wasn't concerned about getting lost. The next Pokemon the encountered was another Geodude, angry at them for what it had done to it's friend or family. It attacked, but just like the first one could not even get a single blow in before being washed away by a powerful Surf attack. TL;DR Geodude (170/170) vs Buizel (180/180) Buizel used Surf (-180, 0/170) Geodude has fainted! Buizel receives 10 exp.
