At almost any position in the central Hoenn mainland, looking to the center of the region, one can see Mt. Chimney standing high above the rest of the region at almost five thousand feet tall. Mt. Chimney is an active volcano that resides in the central most part of the Hoenn Region, almost the epicenter of the mainland itself, where a plume of smoke can be seen trailing from it's peak every so often, or a cloud of ash rains down on the land around it. It's eruptions are far and few between, and are rather subtle when they happen, so no real damage comes to the area around it, but it has been years and years since it's last real eruption, and no one is really quite sure when it might happen again. Until then though, with the volcano under close surveillance at all times, Mt. Chimney is a great tourist spot with a cable car that takes visitors up and down the majority of it's slope, where a most breathtaking view can be seen from it's heights.
