 "The city of otherwordly dreams."
A city forgotten to modern society, or perhaps having come straight out of a fairy tale book, Laverre City is one of the smaller cities in Kalos, almost considered a larger town, located at the very north of the Kalos region. The city was built around a mysterious, ancient tree in it's center, but hasn't grown much since then. Though it is surrounded by swamp grounds and murky water pools, Laverre City is something beautiful for everyone to behold at least once in their life. The enormous tree in the middle of the town often holds most of it in it's shadow, and forever has the town below in a blanket of it's leaves, likewise the smaller trees that grow in the area. Worn dirt paths line the city's walkways instead of even cobblestone or laid stones, and the buildings show the city's age just as much with aged wood and brick. To the north of the town is the Pokeball factory where the world gets it's supply of pokeballs for trainers everywhere, but that is not the only reason why trainers visit the almost forgotten city. The tree that holds it's place in the center of the city has actually been hallowed out for years, and has since become the city's own pokemon gym, the sixth in the region.
{Laverre City Gym (Click)}Valerie is the Gym Leader of Laverre City's Gym, known officially as the Laverre Gym. She specializes in Fairy-type Pokémon. She gives the Fairy Badge to Trainers who defeat her. Valerie grew up in Ecruteak City in the Johto Region. She was a rather interesting child, preferring to keep to herself and spend time with Pokemon rather then kids from school. She always enjoyed the pretty things in life, and now it's clear she possess a deep appreciation for all that is beautiful. As a child she always wore colorful and pretty dresses and made sure she looked her best. But aside from looking pretty, she also appeared to hold actual conversations with Pokemon. No one really knows how she was able to, and she just recalls always being able to, however Valerie is able to speak with Fairy Type Pokemon, as well as few select other Pokemon. This has aided her in battle in the past, but it doesn't give her an advantage. After moving to Kalos, she began modeling, and she really took off. She began to wear and create large and extravagant gowns and costumes, and soon she began to identify herself with Pokemon. Once she became a Gym Leader, she dropped her modeling career, and began spending the majority of her type in her Gym's Dollhouse. Valerie's gym sits in the center of the town. It is a large traditional building that stands out against the rest of the town's buildings just at it's size. The first floor of the gym is the actual battle field itself. It's fairly beautiful, Valerie would have nothing less. The large room is surrounded in trees and other flourishing plant life. The walls continue up into frosted panel like windows, only instead of windows they're screens. When Valerie enters after defeating her gym trainers, she puts on a show. The screens turn onto a beautiful sunset, rainbow, or fields of flowers. Anything she finds beautiful that day, as flower petals rain down from the ceiling. Four bridges connect the grassy areas around the lifted battle field. Under the bridges is a little pond all the way around the large battle field. Separating the grass and plant like from the actual battle arena. The battle field itself is fairly flat and plain. The trainers stand level on the field with their Pokemon. However, Her gym doesn't stop there. There are upper floors that trainers and anyone is free to use and accompany Valerie in. The top floors is modeled after a human sized dollhouse. Each room is designed completely different. One room is a tea room, where Valerie frequents. But there is also a dress up room, a sun room, Dessert room, flowery rock garden, and others. Tourists often visit this, and little girls and boys hold birthday parties here.    {Gym Trainers (Click)} Katherine  Dedenne Lv. 50 HP 380 Female Ability: Cheek Pouch: Restores 1/3 of max HP when the Pokémon eats a Berry, after the berry effect has been applied. Laverre City was the northern most location in the region, and from there they were going to move north towards the Galar region to start on region number four. Emiri had now returned most of her Pokemon at this point in order to prepare for the flight between regions, making sure that everyone could get some rest. It didn’t seem that the Galar region was too terribly far north from Kalos, but nonetheless it was fair to make sure that everyone was getting rest from traveling through the Kalos region together. Azuran’s long distance flying went out matched with most of her Pokemon, so she had returned everyone to their Pokeballs and sat with the baby on the fossil’s broad back as they made their way north to Laverre City.
Just as Emiri remembered, the impossibly large tree was what stood out amongst the cottage and cobble stone town, a city lost in time it seemed, or even locked away in a fairy tale. Emiri landed with Azuran and helped the baby down from his back while they made their way into the Pokemon Center, and meeting the Nurse Joy there for her stamp, Emiri had successfully finished collecting the stamps for the entire Kalos region, ready to make her way towards their next set of destinations. Elfana Aroway Walter took charge when they entered the city. He didn't want to give Elfana a chance to rush through the city. There was a fascinating tree in the center of town and he wanted to see it. Laverre looked like something out of a storybook. Walter loved it. Elfana, on the other hand, wasn't impressed. The town looked like it was about to be swallowed up by nature and that really didn't appeal to her. She didn't complain though. Her friend wanted to explore for a while so she let him. To keep herself busy she chatted with Haruka and Kiro after releasing the Croagunk from his Pokeball. She let Pantalaimon out as well but he decided to walk along with Walter. The Turtwig adored Laverre as much as the Alakazam did. After a couple of hours they stopped by the Pokemon Center and collected the town's stamp. Elfana hadn't even noticed how much time had passed until she looked at her phone. Walter and Pantalaimon had fun so losing a few hours didn't matter. Kira stopped by the Pokemon Center for a stamp, but she also booked a room for that night. While she had time to make it to another Town or City before nightfall, she was tired and wanted to stick around this quaint place for the day. She wanted to do a little shopping, which she did with Lucy, but did not end up buying anything new. She was low on funds and besides, she couldn't enjoy the activity as she usually would because of how far behind in her travels she was.
That night she and Lucy went to their room while her dragons were all returned to their Pokeballs. In contrast, however, she let out Lunatone, Tyrunt, Goomy, and the brand new Dreepy who she had never even seen. It turned out to be a ghostly little dragon and she fell in love instantly. Even Goomy and Tyrunt seemed to really like the spirit, who was friendly and floated around just playing with them for about an hour. Then they all went to bed, Lunala floating - asleep - over the bed.

She stopped for a moment and looked around herself to realize where she had been exactly teleported too in the City. Laverre was not much of a luxurious place, nor her kind of place to visit, so it took her a bit to really find where she was going. She spotted the large tree, and knew that was suppose to be what housed the Gym. She didn't take time to shower or even change out of her designer dress. She began to huff it towards the tall tree. " I'm going to take my anger out on some stupid fairies, and for the love of god I'm not climbing a tree." Ridley spat. So far all of the other cities had these large obstacles to get through. She had planned to have a nice elegant evening and night but instead she was held hostage and accused of murder. Of course, she was let off the hook, and it was kind of funny to see heiress barbie get arrested. She was purposefully ignoring the hypocrisy there, she needed to get as much enjoyment as she could. She made her way into the giant doll house that was built around the massive tree, and was pleased to see the stage set up was not going to cause her to climb a tree or play house to battle the gym. She made her way up onto the stage to find a little girl in a prissy little dress. " Wow your so pretty! your dress to!" The little girl spoke. This was enough to soften Ridley's anger, she was ready to bitch her way through the gym, but this little girl reminded her too much of Ryan to punch her way through. " Thanks. But I'm here to battle Valerie. Are you the Gym Trainer?" Ridley asked the girl, and she was. Kathrine introduced herself and then skipped over to her place on the field. Ridley took her place as the lights opened up on them, which was actually fairly interesting for Ridley, as well as screens lit up displaying both herself and the girl who was labeled as Kathrine. This was a pretty nice set up, she just hated that it was for fairy types. Ridley wasn't too surprised when the little girl sent out a Dedenne. Ridley sent out Jessica, who usually didn't fail her. While this kid reminded her of her little sister, she didn't mind wiping the floor with her. She reacted much quicker than Ridley had anticipated and struck Jessica with lightning. The static it put in Jessica's hair was almost funny. But Jessica raced forward and put the rat to sleep. She started pelting it with Shadow Balls until it woke up and began striking lightning again. She had gotten stunned but with one more Shadow Ball it was down. Next was Azumarill. Morticia was an easy choice to put up against it, She was practically a grass type. This back fired on Ridley though. The Azumarill made quick work of Morticia and rough housed her into submission. Ridley groaned as she let out Delphine. " Alright, light it up." Ridley called out. Normally Ridley wouldn't throw out Delphine against a water type, but she knew she could handle it. With a mighty solar beam from her wand, and that was it for the water fairy. While Catherine made her way off of the platform, Ridley revived Morticia and made sure to heal up Jessica and Delphine. The next girl, Kali apparently, reminded her of her other sister. Reese. This was not a good thing. Her goodie goodie sister that could do no wrong. Now she can bitch her way through. " Lets get this over with." Ridley sighed as the other lfemale sent out a Kirlia. Of course. Just like her sisters, that little tattle tale. The blonde sent out her big guns, and the crazy. The little girl Pokemon started the fight, using psychic and sent Eris flying. Eris's jaws caught her as she got flipped back over and charged the little thing with her pigtail jaws. She tried to send her back again, but Eris was prepared, she swung her head and sent the little girl Pokemon flying back at her trainer, only to be returned. Next was another familiar pokemon. Granbull, she had her own fairy bull dog, but hers was the exemption. Hogarth was cute, hers was not. Ridley sent Delphine back out and came in hot again with Solar Beam. She was able to keep up with the blows even with being charged and chased around the field. She had to keep the dog at bay and continuously blasting it with fire until it stopped it's headbutt charge. This goodie goodie was down. Ridley wiggled her fingers at her with a condescending smile to send her off as she healed up Eris and Del. They were going to be her heavy hitters she needed to keep them strong. Next and old woman came out next. Ugh, just like her grandmother. It was like a family reunion. She wasn't much for chatter like the last girl, which was fine by Ridley. She sent out a Togetic which made her roll her eyes. She sent out Themyscira... Or, Delphine. She hesitated, only stopped herself when she remembered the Sirene's illusion. The fairy used a blast of energy on her knocking her illusion away, causing her to smirk at the fairy, she unleashed a blizzard that from the fairy solid. The old lady had no other option but to return it. The woman sent out Wigglytuff, which this time Ridley sent out Del for real this time.This battle went on for a bit, the wigglytuff tried to sing her to sleep, but Del was able to protect herself with psychic energy, but did force Ridley to yawn. She had been up all night. Del blasted the wigglytuff and began hitting it way waves of fire. But this pink beast could run through it and punch Del half way across the field. Ridley grimmaced as the thing man handled her. " Keep away from it! Psychic that thing away from you." She called out, and Delphine did just that and sent her packing. Ridley didn't mind it, she almost enjoyed it. She was glad she hadn't changed out of her Ball attire, or make up. She was putting the gym trainers to shame. "It's nice to see you dressed up for the occasion." A soft but clear voice spoke as Valerie walked out and onto the field. She also was dressed to the nines, but her shoes.... Those were probably a good two inches taller than Ridley's. It wasn't very often that Ridley was out heeled. " Well, I like to be the best dressed every where I go." Ridley replied back, kicking her leg out of the slit in her dress. Valerie smiled, and nodded as she let out her Mawile. Ridley knew these little things were tough so she knew she had to be smart. Delphine was the obvious choice, Which the fox shifted uncomfortably, knowing how weird and crazy her own Mawile was. " You know how to beat her." Ridley encouraged. The other Mawile was quick just like her own, and quickly clamped down on Del. She let out a scream and blasted the steel fairy off of her with fire. The Pokemon continued to chomp at her until she finally was able to blast it in the jaws, and knock it out. The both returned their Pokemon, as the model, not Ridley, sent out a little fat bird. Ridley's face scrunched up, she always hated aromatisse. " Time for you to meet a real Mawile." Ridley said letting Eris join the battle. There was no hesitation for the Mawile. She charged the bird, it tried to keep her way with psychic abilities, but it was no use. Soon Eris was practically playing croquet with the bird as it tried to fend for itself. But there was no use, Mawile took the little round bird out fairly quickly. Ridley had bested Valerie with one of her own Pokemon, and fairly quickly, she couldn't help but grin widely. Valerie didn't seem to pay any attention to Ridley's y grin.She sent out a Florges, which Ridley couldn't help but judge the basicness of the flowery fairy. Ridley had to think smart, and she realized the only way to get through all Valerie's Pokemon is she would have to use Marilyn eventually. She didn't have anything but Mawile that was effective against Florges so it was now or never. She sent out Marilyn, which the flower was quick to Moon blast. It hit Marilyn hard, which Ridley recoiled. The Mienshao was one of her strongest and skilled fighters, but she didn't belong on a fairy stage. " I know, I know, but use Gunk Shot." Ridley said, admitting that it wasn't a fair match up. The fighting type refused to back down, so she struck the flower with a large ball of gunk, but was blasted back. Ridley knew that was all she could handle so she returned her. She sent out Themyscira, hesitating again when she saw Marilyn again. " Do you have two, or are you unfortunately sending her in for more?" Valerie asked, not teasing she seemed genuinely confused at Ridley's decision. But she didn't stop for long and used psychic on the Pokemon to keep her at bay. However it just coasted through the weasel, which both Pokemon and Ridley smiled. " Gotcha." Ridley commented as Themyscira began to sing. To Ridley, Themyscira's voice was very soothing. It didn't make her want to go to sleep, but it did make her much calmer. Maybe she'll need to remember that for later. But now, they had to take out the flower. The Weasel unleashed a blizzard on the flower and continued until Valerie return the Pokemon. " Interesting trick." she commented as she moved on in the battle. Next was Mr. Mime. Another Pokemon Ridley hated. It was time for her heavy hitter again. Ridley sent out Eris, and just like before she was ready to go. " Okay, please tear it up." Ridley commented waving her hand to usher Mawile forward. She charged and swung her jaws, but hit a barrier. The Mime was ready for the aggressive Mawile, and focus blasted her. This knocked the Pokemon back a few feet but she was back on her own feet in a matter of seconds using her jaws to pop her over onto her feet. She charged again and used the barrier to launch herself over it and slam her jaws downward on the Mime. She was blasted backwards again but with another round of iron head, the Mime was down. Valerie now sent out her Ace. Sylveon. Ridley wasn't to concerned. Eeveelutions were hardly ever a threat. She sent out Jessica, and called for her to put it asleep. " How about this," She spoke, and blew a visible kiss at the fairy and caused him to be infatuated. The blonde had no idea, he was an actual male.... But she wasn't complaining. Jessica was quick to react as began throwing shadow balls at him with both hands. Valerie's commands falling on deaf ears. The fairy awoke from his daze for a moment to return fire with it's own shadow ball, but with another kiss blown he was down again. It wasn't much longer before he was down. There was mix reactions from the crowds. Some cheering at the battle, some Valerie fans were booing. Ridley didn't care. Ridley made her way across the field. She held out her hand to Valerie expecting her to just hand her the badge. " You are a tough trainer, and you're right, you were one of the best dressed challengers I've battled. But it'll take more than tricks for you to defeat Olympia." Valerie advised. Ridley looked her over before responding. " For a fairy trainer... You're pretty tough too I'll admit. And you have nice shoes. But you just lost, so I don't think I need to take your advice." She spoke, which Valerie seemed to understand was a compliment. She smiled to her and fluttered her sleeve wings and produced the badge. Ridley took the badge and made her way out of the Gym and to the Pokecenter.
