Central eastern Sinnoh, years ago, used to be characterized by one road that connected Celestic Town and Hearthome City until many ranchers and farmers began to cultivate the flat landscape for crops and ranches. Over time, Solaceon Town was established as a farming community which has since grown into what it is today. Solaceon Town is a temperate town in both climate and temperment where people and Pokemon relax and maintain an easy going lifestyle. Most of the town though and it's residents are on the western side of this town near the main road where the landscape is flat, where the eastern side of Solaceon Town is full of trees and ledges, where the Solaceon Ruins can be found, a temple dedicated to Dialga and Palkia.

Elfana Aroway Elfana hated farming communities. Finding anything worth doing in farming towns was incredibly rare. The ruins on the eastern side of the town were the only thing that held any sort of interest for her and even that wasn't enough to convince her to stay in the town longer than necessary. She just wanted to collect her stamp and leave. There were two more cities she needed to get through before she would be willing to stop to rest. The only thing that spared Solaceon Town from receiving the same treatment that Oreburgh City and Eterna City had was a small shop she had taken an interest in on her way to the Pokemon Center. Given that it was a farming town, she assumed she would have no trouble finding a variety of interesting treats for her Pokemon. She left the shop with a bag full of different treats and toys for her Pokemon. After that she headed over to the Pokemon Center. Her greeting to the nurse was friendly enough- or as friendly as she could manage anyway. She went through the usual process of collecting her stamp from there. After that she was on her way back towards Hearthome City. Sinnoh

It made perfect sense for the residents of the town to be on guard considering their proximity to Hearthome. It wasn't unreasonable for them to think they might be invaded next. "So much for talking to the locals." On the plus side, their trip through the town should be uneventful. That would mean they would get to Hearthome that little bit faster.
