North east of Lacunosa Town, which has been known in the town's history for many generations since a meteor had crashed into the earth, creating the Giant Chasm. It is a crater site where the remnants of the meteor do not remain, and their whereabouts unknown, but most do not dwell on these questions any more since they were never answered. Since then, the crater site has become a lush forest after bringing up fresh soil from deep beneath the earth's surface, and is now home to many Pokemon that call it home. Many of these Pokemon have built caves that stretch beneath the surface, but for many months out of the year, these caves are little seen and used for hibernation as the chasm fills with snow every winter.

Elfana Aroway The trip through Giant Chasm should have been simple enough. Travel through the forest, study the chasm some, continue on her way. She had stopped at the edge of a pit full of water when she heard something snap behind them. A few seconds later she found herself leaping into that same pit to avoid being trampled by a rampaging Rhyhorn. Both she and Haruka were a mess. There was no way they were climbing out until that Rhyhorn left though. She paced back and forth along the edge, trying to find a way down to them. "What the hell is your problem?" The Vulpix snapped, his dripping wet fur making him look anything but intimidating. Walter and Kiro had gone on ahead so it was up to him to protect Elfana. "Where's the Turtwig?!" The Rhyhorn growled while she continued to circle the edge of the pit. She looked like she was considering just jumping in after them. "You're one of the thieves then?" Of course. He shouldn't have been surprised. They kept taking out their friends so one of the remaining Pokemon was bound to come after them before long. "Return the plate and we'll let you leave. This doesn't have to turn into a fight." It was going to turn into a fight as soon as Kiro found them but she didn't need to know that. The Rhyhorn glared at him and took a step back. She scd her foot against the ground, preparing to charge until the ground began to shake. Elfana grabbed Haruka and held him against herself protectively. She heard the Rhyhorn cry out before the shaking stopped. The Toxicroak had returned. Elfana handed Haruka off to him before climbing out of the pit. The ground beneath the Rhyhorn had torn open and she had fallen in. Elfana glanced inside to make sure she was still alive. She unconscious but she would be able to get out of the hole on her own whenever she woke up. "That was not supposed to be here." She stated flatly while Kiro checked her over for injuries. She was soaked and had a couple of bruises but otherwise unharmed. After his examination was done, Walter grabbed her arm and Teleported them to the next town. He wasn't going to wait around for their last enemy to appear.
