The people and Pokemon share their lives together on Akala, gathered together to live beside one and other, and on Memorial Hill they have also shared their graves for generations to come. The Memorial Hill is a sacred place for Alola where both humans and Pokemon are buried, where all generations and all walks of life can gather in the heart of Akala to celebrate life and pay their respects. The Ruins of Life can also be found here, past Memorial Hill and on the very southern edge of the island. They say that life is never very far after death, and islanders consider this a most special place with places of death and places of life being so close together to coexist in the universe.
