The very northern part of Akala island is a popular spot as it is completely open to view the northern coast of the island and the ocean that stretches beyond. There is a motel here on this part of the island, as well as a Pokemon Center to accommodate those travelers that make the long journey out to this part of the island, but most will say that it is well worth it for the views and for the pure joy of being somewhere so pure and beautiful. They had one more island left after this, so Emiri queried that they might rest at this final Pokemon Center for the night in order to move on in the morning. It was clear in the skies, and the northern tip of this island leveled out into a wide open space that overlooked the ocean, and Emiri could see that traveling aside, this was just a beautiful destination spot. The view couldn’t be ignored, and how pretty the water was in the Alola Region, it seemed appropriate to have a Pokemon Center here and a small hotel of sorts, so people could stay here when they came to enjoy the scenery.
Emiri did land with her Pokemon and gathered her stamp from Nurse Joy at the Pokemon Center, and then for the remainder of the evening they did stay out and enjoy themselves to rest for the next day of traveling ahead. Emiri released all of her Pokemon from their Pokeballs at that point, wanting everyone to have some time to spend together, and she did let Racion out of his Pokeball as well. After their interaction with Burst and learning more about what it meant for him to exist, Emiri made sure that she gave him the attention that she knew he needed to continue to work past his aggressiveness towards the things he was ‘designed’ to hunt. After his memories had been released, after he had experienced that pain and anguish all over again, Emiri was able to help him understand that he didn’t need to do that any more, that that part of his life wasn’t what needed to run his life now. She kept him at a distance from Burst who was enjoying his time playing with Cerian and the baby, but now that they had had Burst within close proximity for a time now, his reactions were becoming less and less towards the Ultra Beast. In due time, Emiri was certain that Racion wouldn’t feel controlled by the ‘designed’ aspect of his existence, and was going to be patient with him until then. Elfana Aroway Route 8 had to be her favorite stop in Alola thus far. Pantalaimon was let out of his Pokeball. As soon as he noticed the view, he let out an excited squeal and ran to what he decided was the best spot to admire the ocean from. Elfana followed along behind him, watching to make sure he didn't get too far away. There was a motel in the area and she was considering getting a room for the day. There was still plenty of time to get through the region. They could spend the day admiring the scenery and relaxing. Before she made her decision, she stopped by the Pokemon Center and got her book stamped. Visiting one of the nurse clones first thing in the morning somehow sounded more miserable than going back through Kalos. From there she searched for the motel. After a room was secured for herself and her Pokemon, they spent the rest of the day exploring the area. Taking a break for a change was nice. She almost didn't want to leave the next morning but she still had several regions to get through. With that in mind, she made a note to come back and visit Route 8 again someday before moving on.Alola

Grim stopped off at the pokemon center for a quick break before he headed finally to his destination, the jungle. He had heard there were a lot of cool pokemon there and wanted to see it for himself, as well as get a bit of training in battling them. But first, Grim put Duke up in the PC for now before having a quick shower and changing his clothing to something more suited for the jungle. Once he was done he headed back outside and hopped on his bike, it was only one more stretch before he finally reached the jungle. It had been quite a bikeride.

Grim arrived at the pokemon center on route eight after a long struggle through the jungle. He was covered in sweat and almost immediately went to the back and hopped into the shower, enjoying the cascade of hot water. He relaxed for awhile and listened to his pokemon playing outside the shower room door, hoping they weren't being a nuisance to nurse joy. It was nice to just relax for a moment and not worry about what he should be doing. He took his time scrubbing his hair tree of leaves and twigs from his excursion before finally rinsing himself off and stepping out. For a moment he just stood in the steam and took a few deep breaths to prepare himself for the next haul of their journey before digging in his bag and changing into a fresh pair of clothes. Refreshed, he walked back out to the lobby and over to the PC, switching out shade and withdrawing Leer and Ronin. It was time to start training for real.

Grim headed out of the pokecenter to find an odd gathering of people surrounding what appeared to be two trainers battling. Perfect. He headed over and weaved his way through the crowd, hating their closeness as he made his way to the inner circle. Luckily for him it wasn't too hard to get through when you had a cranky Charmeleon snapping at people's legs as she passed, though luckily none of them took any insult to her attitude. Maybe most charmeleon are like this.. He watched the battle until it came to an end and the winner shouted into the crowd to find another challenger. At once Grim stepped up, deciding this would be great experience for his pokemon.    Trainer sent out Lvl. 29 Tropius!

After the battle was finished his opponent smiled at him and took her spot back among the crowd, and just as she did so another Trainer stepped up to take her place against him. By what he had seen it seemed these trainers were having a tournament of sorts to train, and now that he was the winner he had to fight to keep his spot at the top. Grim put on a smile and nodded to his new opponent as she prepared to battle. She was a pretty punk girl with a broad grin, and he couldn't help but feel excited to battle her. The last woman had been tough, and he didn't expect any less from this one. He healed up his pokemon and stood ready to battle.    Trainer sent out Lvl. 51 Crobat!

As he won again Grim couldn't help but be proud of his pokemon, although the type matchups so far had been in his favor. He healed up his pokemon and awaited his next challenger, smiling as Tokumei gave a challenging growl. Of them all it seemed Tokumei was having the most fun in this little tournament, and he partially hoped it would help her vent her anger and calm down a little. This time it was an older gentleman that took the side opposite Grim on the makeshift battlefield. Despite his looks Grim could tell the man would give him a real battle, but that was what Grim was here for in the first place. If he was to take on the gym challenge he needed to test his strength out against anyone he could. It would all be valuable experience.   Trainer sent out Lvl. 55 Corviknight!

Before his eyes Raika evolved into a Boltund and the crowd went wild with cheers. Grim crouched and scratched the happy dog pokemon behind the ears with a grin, trying his best not to feel overwhelmed or self-conscious from the crowd. His grin only broadened as Luckett approached Raika and gave her a cheerful lick on the cheek, and he swore he could see the Boltund blush under her fur as the crowd erupted in 'awes' and more cheers.
