Almost in the center of Akala island, traveling north from Heahea City from "Straight Street" or Route 6, travelers come to find a town lost in time it seems as they enter Paniola Town. The town doesn't see too many visitors due to its location, most trainers and travelers choosing to move east from Heahea City to move on towards other areas for their island challenges, but that doesn't make the town any less important to the island or the region as a whole. This center area of Akala island is almost completely flat despite the mountains that make up the Wela Volcano park to the east, but it is because of the Wela Volcano park that the fields and soil around Paniola Town are rich and fertile which make for perfect harvest grounds. Paniola is the central market for most of the region's grain and other crops with the famed Paniola Ranch at the head of production, and the town itself never seemed to lose touch with its roots as a ranching town.

With Burst along for the ride with them, Emiri felt that even though he had been through a lot lately and the uncertainty that was surrounding his existence there with them, he was enjoying the time spent together and getting to see this new world. Whether he be hovering along with them through the sky using his powers, or taking a ride with Hantu whom he had grown a bit attached to due to their bonding in the canyons, Emiri was happy to know that even in a bleak situation, he wasn’t dwelling on what was wrong. She would do her best to continue to make sure that she might be able to get him home one day, whether it be through the strange locating device that she still held onto or with Aslan’s help some time in the future, but for now, he was seeing the world with them, and was enjoying himself.
Just north of Heahea City, out into the central part of this island, it seemed that there was abundant sprawling farm land that took up the bulk of the area. Paniola Town was next on their map, continuing to check each stop in the Alola Region as they went, and Emiri found Paniola Town charming in a way. It was similar to places like Rota or Laverre, it wasn’t a gimmick and wasn’t a theme, it was just a way of life and a tradition that the town looked lost in time, like something out of an old movie. Using the sprawling farmland, all of Emiri’s Pokemon landed, and Emiri made her way with the baby and Cerian who padded along with her to visit the Pokemon Center. There she was able to get her next stamp, gathering seven so far for the Alola Region, and she was ready to keep on her way through the islands as she headed back to her Pokemon.

Years ago the earth had been torn asunder and from the yawning chasm hell spilled forth. Only "Hell" was a terrible name so they had to rename it Paniola Town if they wanted to attract tourists. Paniola Town looked better on a postcard anyway. Really fit with the theme of the region. That was Elfana's explanation for the town anyway. Apparently she had incurred the wrath of some deity or another and having to travel through that town was her punishment. "Okay. I get it. I am a terrible person." She muttered to herself. Even if she was terrible, she didn't deserve this sort of punishment. She wasted no time in getting to the Pokemon Center and collecting her next stamp. There was no way she was spending any more time than necessary in the tiny country hellhole that was Paniola Town. No thank you. She had standards. Elfana stubbornly waited in the Pokemon Center lobby after she was done getting her stamp, refusing to budge from her seat until Walter agreed to Teleport her to the next town. The Alakazam tried to argue- which resulted in her spending more time in the Pokemon Center than she did trying to find it. In the end he gave in and the group Teleported on to Heahea City. If she was lucky the memory of Paniola Town was going to be buried so far that she would forget the town even existed.

Rather than traveling to another City like Kira was told about by the last Nurse Joy, Kira got turned around and found herself in the nearby Paniola Town. She could tell at once that this was this was not a place frequented by other Trainers. They flew past a herd of Mudbray who looked up from eating their dinner. Kira had to admit that it was getting late, and she would only have time to visit one or two more Pokemon Centers before the sunlight was gone entirely. It just so happened that this little Town had a Pokemon Center that was on her list! So at least it wasn't an entire waste of time.

They landed just outside the Pokemon Center, which was pretty much empty. She even had a suspicion that the Nurse Joy had nearly fallen asleep at her desk before Kira walked in and brought her to attention. "Welcome!" She said in a voice that was a bit too bright. She accepted Kira's book. "Oh! Of course, I'd be happy to give you a stamp. Oh my, you really are coming along, aren't you?" She complimented Kira's progress. Kira thanked her and then she was gone! The Nurse was free to get back to her rest.

Grim peddled along the straight road and gazed out at the rolling fields to either side. It seemed he had entered a flat valley of sorts with farmland sweeping around a small town. He had always heard of Paniola town, after all who grew up in Alola and didn't hear of it, but he hadn't seen it in person until now. The scenic place was rather nice, but he was determined to continue on along his route so he pushed sightseeing to the side for later and moved on towards route 5.

Grim coasted along the road leading around Paniola Town, this time taking his time and enjoying the view of the grand open fields. Here and there he noticed groups of Tauros and Miltank milling about and enjoying the sun, and the sight caused a weird sense of peace to envelop Grim. Maybe it was the fact that he had grown up caring for pokemon in stables but although he didn't think of himself as a farm boy, farms had a strange comfort to him. If only he had been born in a normal family maybe he could have led a better life. Not that he regretted anything. Not anymore. If not for his past he would never have met his pokemon and that was enough to make it all worth it. Feeling calmer than he had for weeks Grim sailed onward to Heahea City.

Alice sailed into Paniola Town with Nyx and Valefor hot on her heels. She made quick work of passing through the town and heading North to the Daycare center. Once there she dropped off Gadreel and Mastema before making her way back outside. Then... she had no idea what else to do. Alice blinked and looked around for a moment before slowly walking back to her bike. Now what? Wait? She had no idea how breeding really worked besides the obvious points, nor if Gadreel and Mastema would even like each other... After a moment Alice sighed and merely got on her bike, heading back into town to find something to do.

As Alice biked back into town she thought over what she had learned of breeding, and almost slammed on the breaks as a thought occurred to her. Baby pokemon were known for hatching knowing moves their parents did, right? She was going about this the wrong way! Immediately she swung the bike back around and sailed back to the daycare, collecting her pokemon and apologizing profusely to the daycare lady for bothering her again.

"God I'm an idiot." It would be so much faster to teach the parents moves first, then breed and hope for a miracle baby for her research! Her mind set, Alice peddled back into town and swung hard for HeaHea City.

Alice had picked up her bike along the way and sailed down the road into Paniola Town. However, as she reached the Daycare she came to find that the place was closed. Apparently the owners had gone to visit their grandchild. Great for them, bad for Alice. Frustrated, Alice climbed back onto her bike and turned back towards Heahea instead. If she had to wait a few days she might as well explore and train, so that was exactly what she planned to do. Mind set, she pushed off the ground and sailed along the road leading out of Paniola Town without looking back.

Alice rode along the dirt road through Paniola Town without a second glance. The Town interested her as far as appearance went, sure, but she had far more important things to do than sight-see at the moment. It was finally time to do her little experiment with breeding. She pulled to a stop outside the Daycare center and was happy to see that the owners had returned. There she dropped off Mastema and Gadreel with a grin before leaving. Hopefully, the two would have an egg, and from that egg Alice would get a baby worth all of this hassle.

Alice Headed back to town and stayed the night at the pokemon center before returning the next day to the daycare center. As she had hoped, the owners had an egg for her as she walked in the door. Alice accepted the egg and smiled as she felt the smooth shell beneath her fingers. It was warm to the touch and Alice worried for a moment how she would keep it that way, but luckily the older lady smiled and handed her a warm backpack to keep it in. Alice looped the backpack over her shoulders and stashed her normal pack on her bike, feeling a little overwhelmed and wishing she had a wagon or something for Valefor to pull instead. Maybe she would have to invest in one.

Alice decided to leave Mastema and Gadreel in the daycare for now while she was focused on the egg, knowing she didn't have time to focus on too many of her pokemon. Handling four pokemon and an egg was her limit, at least for now. Alice said her goodbyes before heading out the door and to her bike where Valefor and Nyx waited for her. She got on her bike and turned it towards town before pushing off and sailing down the road. She made quick work of passing through town and headed down the road that would take her back to Heahea City. It was time to make her way back and battle Hala!
