The very southern point of Melemele Island is one of the most well known locations on the island because of the natural formation caused by an under water volcano. Ten Carat Hill is famous for its structure because of how unique and distinct it is from other mountains formed by such natural events. Found far south from Iki Town off of Route 1 where part of this mountain leads into the ocean at the southern coast, Ten Carat Hill is seen first as a cave system when entered through one of the few mouths that opened up either by natural causes, or by wild Pokemon. The cave walls are smooth due to the salt water that had run through them over time, but what is really quite special about Ten Carat Hill is the hollow that can be found in its very center. As though it were a crater, the center of Ten Carat Hill is completely hollow, open and exposed to the sun and the air where grass and even some bushes and flowers have begun to grow from the fertile soil of the volcanic earth. No other natural formed structure by an under water volcano has such a unique feature to it, but it's drawn the attention of trainers, tourists, and scientists alike for years to come see its natural hollow. JASPER COLE BAD COMPANY I CAN'T DENY BAD, BAD COMPANY TILL THE DAY I DIE UNTIL THE DAY I DIE About an hour later they came upon the base of Ten Carat Hill. It stretched and rose ahead of them, waiting to swallow them up. Jasper glanced back and saw the others looking at him. He nodded, and they set off up the incline. They ignored the tall grass which shook and waved with scurrying beasts, they ignored the berry trees (which often contained a hidden Crabrawler), and they ignored the flock of Pikipek which flew over them, hoping to spot food they could steal from the invaders.
A bit further up, Jasper stopped. He was confident this would be a good place to hide out. It was a flat with tall grass hiding it from the path just large enough to fit three Campers. They didn't come to this particular island often, but this was a nice little spot. He liked it here. Now that he knew where they would be, Rex disappeared back down the hill to steal them something to eat later that night. Meanwhile, Lucky and Jasper made themselves comfortable and set up camp. They actually broke out the tent and made a fire this time. They believed they were far enough from the City and from well-traveled roads that they could take the risk.
They didn't talk much. There wasn't much to say that hadn't been said on the walk up here, and questions could just as easily set their boss off as elicit answers from him. Rex did not return until late that night, but his bag was full of great-smelling food that they all quickly dug into. Their bellies full, they stored the rest of the food away for the next morning and moved to sit around the fire. Rex wasn't the smartest guy, but he'd done a good job today. He'd have to remember that.

JASPER COLE BAD COMPANY I CAN'T DENY BAD, BAD COMPANY TILL THE DAY I DIE UNTIL THE DAY I DIE
The two goons - Rex and Lucky - sat around the fire as the sun began to set on the distant horizon. Jasper, however, got up and walked away from their camp back towards the road. He walked further up Ten Carat Hill until he found another secluded spot; apparently this place was full of places to avoid others. He could probably hide up here for weeks. That being said, he wouldn't have the patience to do it. He already hated sitting here overnight, cowering like some yellow-bellied wuss. He was of course doing no such thing, but he still hated being up here.
He was bored, and wanted to check out his newest weapon. So he sent out Litten and looked down at the kitten with interest. It looked back up at him. It was confused, but hid it well. Understandable - it hadn't actually been introduced to this random Trainer before now. This must all come as quite the surprise. "Litten, use a Fire-Type attack on that boulder." He ordered, his voice hard and cold. Litten turned and looked at the stone he'd pointed to. The cat coughed, and then shot a burning Ember attack that blackened the stone in soot. "Not bad. Again." Litten followed the command, with no concrete reason to mistrust the guy who had possession of his Pokeball.
Jasper put Litten through his paces three more times, practicing on aim and on building up bigger shots of flame. "Now for the real challenge." He sent out another Pokemon - the one he'd stolen from the Pokemon Center, who had helped him capture Turtonator. The small sand castle looked around. Obviously this hill was a poor place for Sandygast to do battle. It would prefer a beach, but it still had the type advantage over Litten. "Fight." The command was followed instantly by Sandygast. Litten had to react quickly to avoid the first move. Litten realized it was faster, but would that be enough?

JASPER COLE BAD COMPANY I CAN'T DENY BAD, BAD COMPANY TILL THE DAY I DIE UNTIL THE DAY I DIE Litten jumped up high into the air to avoid the Sandygast's sapping touch. From where he'd jumped, Litten shot an Ember down towards the ground where he'd been only moments before and where Sandygast would surely be now. Despite the smoke, Litten fell with an attack in the ready, landing into the Scratch. Jasper had to admit, he was impressed. He had seen Sandygast beat Turtonator, so seeing Litten win by using his higher speed and ingenuity meant the stolen Pokemon had potential. Good, he would keep Litten then.
Shortly after the battle ended, Jasper returned both of his Pokemon and walked back to camp. Both of his 'friends' were already asleep with their bare feet aimed at the fire and their heads inside shabby tents made of sticks and giant palm leaves. They had even made him one, completing the triangle of tents with a crackling flame at the center. At least they were still proving themselves useful as well. He slid his shoes off and laid down in reflection of the others.
When they woke up the next day, the fire had burned itself out. Jasper made sure to fill in their fire pit with dirt and rid the area of evidence they had been there. "When I was in town last night, I heard people talkin'." Rex spoke first, breaking the morning's silence. "That festival is starting today." When Magnus did not reply, he looked nervous to continue. For a few minutes, the camp was silent as they finished packing up. "Can we go?"
Magnus yawned and handed his rolled up sleeping bag to Lucky. "It's too risky." He watched as the face of his 'friend' fell, and he rolled his eyes. "In case you forgot, every Officer in this damned Region is looking for me." He'd stolen the Starter Pokemon - Litten - and had run for it.
"The crowds will cover us." Lucky's voice surprised Jasper. Lucky was usually the sensible, logical, reasonable one. He hadn't expected this. "Well, they invited every Trainer from around the world... the whole City is going to be packed. The chances of them spotting us will be slim."
Magnus thought for a few minutes as they rested, preparing to set off for their next camp site - or maybe, just maybe, Hau'oli City. "Fine. We can go check things out. That many people in such a small space, it should be easy to steal whatever we want."

Llorona Braithwaite"Is that where the gym is?" She asked skeptically, hiding the smirk that had appeared on her face when her brother half embraced her. Sure it was so that she didn't fall flat on her face trying to be nosey - but it had been the first 'hug' she'd gotten from him in over eight years. She feigned a bit of interest while looking at the map, but as usual, her mind was somewhere else entirely - the tiny female nodding in response and jingling the Pokeballs on her belt. She wasn't sure exactly what it was that her brother had planned for them and it probably should have worried her more than it did. She wanted to go directly to the gym but if he was anything like she expected, Llonora could almost guarantee that he was going to try and rope her into 'exploring' and 'training'. The mere thought of either activity made her feel slightly tired, her eyes following him while he quietly departed from the Pokemon center. "I should talk to him....Maybe."
She spoke aloud, her Rowlet appearing to try and answer her with a squawk that startled the girl enough that she made for the door - nearly trapping her Pokemon inside in the process. "You aren't the only one who can just leave people behind without talking ya' know - In fact some people in Castelia city would argue I am the best in the world at it." She pouted, tilting her chin up and starting down the road towards . . . What was it he had called the place? Ten carat hill? The destination didn't matter since she knew it was going to get her one step closer to that first badge and in return - one step closer to escaping this awful place. The Rowlet was not sure where it was that they were going, but the poor creature was beginning to get tired of fluttering around behind it's trainer while she walked. Sure he had made quick work of both the Bonsly and the Rattata, but that hadn't meant the Pokemon didn't put forth effort in doing so. This coupled with the fact that Llonora seemed to demand that it follow around behind her instead of cuddling her shoulder or at the very least, laying on her bag meant that Deadeye was about to keel over in exhaustion. "Can't we please rest a moment?" He coo'd, flapping in small circles around it's trainer in an attempt to get her attention. In the end Deadeye gave up, chirping quietly and fluttering on backwards to catch up with both the Litten and the large, emposing male that seemed to love his Pokemon. With any luck SOMEONE would notice how tired it had become and give the tiny bird a chance to rest! Cyren Braithwaite "We're not going towards the Gym yet." Cyren felt no need to pretend like they were going towards the Gym. She had likely figured out that wasn't the destination he had in mind and they were almost to their destination by the time he decided to speak up anyway. He stopped, turning back to face his sister just in time to notice poor Deadeye flying around and appearing worn out. The large male held his arm out to the Rowlet, offering to allow it to perch there for now. They still had a long road ahead of them before they arrived at the first Gym and the poor Rowlet was already tired. It had been a very busy day for the little owl. He needed a break. Judging by the way Rhea was lagging a bit behind him, she needed to rest too. "Let's stop here for a bit. These two need a break." After looking around to see if there were any better spots in the immediate area for them to rest, Cyren shrugged and sat down where he was. Their current spot worked as well as anything else. He took his other Pokeball out, releasing the Ledyba so it could explore a bit if it wanted to. Attempting to avoid the Pokemon wouldn't fix the problem. While it didn't yell as he had expected it to, the Bug Type insisted upon flying with its back to him and the other two Pokemon. At least it hadn't tried to run off yet. He wouldn't force it to socialize if it didn't want to. He did, however, take out his Pokedex and look up the entry on Ledyba. From the looks up it his Ledyba was a female. He would need to figure out a name for her whenever she decided she felt like interacting with him. "How have things been back home? Can't recall the last time I was in Castelia." This conversation was a fun bit of awkwardness that was bound to happen eventually. Cyren decided it best to get it over with now instead of putting it off until later.SorukaNyoki Trainer Encounter: 15/25 Wild Encounter: 5/5 Item Posting: Specific Lure 15/20 Inventory: Pokedex, Pokeballs x, Potions x{Pokemon} Rhea - Litten - Female Lv. 6 HP: 40 Exp: 3/16 Ability: Blaze: When HP is below 1/3rd, fire type attacks will do x1.5 their raw damage (type effectiveness included) Scratch- 30 Ember- 30 | 1/4 chance of burn Growl- Lowers target's attack by one stage Ledyba - Female Lv. 5 HP: 40 Exp: 4/15 Ability: Swarm: When HP is below 1/3rd, Bug type attacks do x1.5 their raw damage (type effectiveness included) Tackle- 20

Llorona Braithwaite"Shocker." She replied flatly. As expected he was going to drag this out by any means necessary. While they walked Llonora kept to herself, for the most part, the woman working her fingers over the keys on her phone. It hadn't occurred to her that anyone from her hometown might have heard about the unfortunate circumstances of her 'vacation' - but just like everything else in the modern age, her shame was already on full display on social media. "Ugh - Why?!" She groaned, stumbling to a stop just in time to avoid colliding with her brother and the Rowlet that had landed on his forearm. They were completely different people, but it had been so long since she had seen him that Llonora wasn't even sure if they had ever had anything in common... The girl watched him from his spot on the ground, surrounded by Pokemon even if the Ledyba did still seem to be pouting. He had some type of animal magnetism that she did not and it was borderline infuriating to her. "Well, let's see." flattening the fabric on her dress, Llonora looked around curiously a moment before deciding on a large rock over the ground itself and clambering onto it awkwardly. From there she drew her knees in and sighed, patting the Pokeballs on her belt gently but deciding against releasing them. She doubted either of her new pets would be all that happy to see her Rowlet right this second. "They were pretty good for a while even after my brother decided to bail. High school was a thing, I graduated top ten percent but only dad came to the ceremony. Oh yeah, and then he died so yeah." She shrugged, knowing she had essentially given him the biggest TLDR of all time. There was so much more to tell but quite honestly the female didn't feel comfortable elaborating anything to Cyren. How could she? As much as he seemed to like Pokemon the man didn't seem to have any regrets or cares regarding their father or abandoning them at home and so she feared any response she might have gotten from him would only set her off. Cyren Braithwaite "Top ten percent? Very nicely done." Cyren decided to completely avoid most of the most sensitive topics. The goal had been to get the most awkward portion of the conversation out of the way- not to anger Llorona more than he had to. He patted Deadeye's head before carefully picking the Rowlet up and setting him on his shoulder instead. It was bound to be more comfortable for the bird up there since he could rest in the sun. "Mom hasn't changed a bit." He commented with a slight grin. There were few things that made going home worth it. Seeing Llorona again was one of them. Realizing their mother would remain the same stubborn creature she had always been was the other. While Cyren was attempting to have a conversation with Llorona, Rhea had managed to get herself into trouble...again. She really needed to stick closer to her trainer but exploring was so fun. The Litten had stumbled upon what she had assumed was an ordinary rock. She really liked the color of it so she had decided to try to play with it. Unfortunately for her, the thing she tried booping with her paw happened to be a Pokemon. She couldn't tell whether it was angry at her or not for disturbing it. Its body seemed to shine for a moment and she could have sworn the rock was somehow harder now than it had been previously- which was very odd to the kitty considering the thing was a living rock. She assumed whatever it was doing was some form of challenge. The Litten decided to use Ember on it in retaliation. If it was going to do weird things then she would knock it out! Her attempts to burn a Rock were...weirdly successful. She didn't have time to consider this since the Pokemon decided to Tackle her. Being attacked by a Ledyba had been uncomfortable. Being tackled by a Rock Type really hurt. She whined and, without thinking, lashed out at the Roggenrola with her claws. This seemed to do the trick as the Rock Type fainted immediately after she hit it. "Rock Types are weird." She muttered to herself as she made her way back to her trainer. "What did you get into this time?" Cyren gently scolded the injured kitty, taking a Potion out of his backpack and spraying the injuries she had received during the fight. Rhea purred softly, the soothing Potion taking the pain away almost instantly. "There are living rocks around here. Don't try playing with them." She warned Deadeye and the Ledyba when Cyren was finished taking care of her. If she warned them then maybe they could avoid the living rocks too!

Llorona Braithwaite"Gee thanks." Llonora replied sarcastically, stretching herself out along the rock and lacing her fingers behind her head casually. Part of her wanted to push the subject much further than it needed to go on their first day, but she was too tired physically from a day's worth of walking and exhausted mentally as a result of the culture shock. Yesterday she had been a sheltered college student looking for a method of suing her way back to the top of her father's company, today she was a ragtag sidekick on a pokemon journey with the creepiest partner available. The thought of the poor Rowlet caused Llonora to glance over at her brother and the pokemon perched comfortably on his shoulder. How he could stand the presence of something so frightening was beyond her but at the same time she felt something a little strange given her distaste for the starter she had chosen accidentally... "I am not jealous." The woman stated almost manically- reddening when she realized she had spoken aloud and correcting herself almost instantly. "Uh, I mean yeah! Mom is a weird breed. You should be super kissing my butt right now considering after you left she started to get this weird fixation with making sure to be completely obsessive in your absence. Dunno why but from my eleventh birthday until now I have hardly had a day to myself." Sadly, Llonora WISHED she was exaggerating her previous statement. After her mother's favorite child disappeared, the woman had become something of a perfectionist when it came to her daughter. Everything about Llonora's life became dramatic and painfully meticulous almost overnight. But it had not been all bad, in fact without this constant boot from her parent, the girl reasoned she wouldn't have become half as cunning or devious as she was now. "I know you have this weird moral code against our family's money or whatever it is... but I think we're both adult enough that someone should probably ask you why you really left. So... Why did you leave?" No sooner had she actually managed to get the question out, did the girl sit up in response to the whining sound of the returning Litten, a frown coming over her when she saw the state of the returning kitten. Deadeye had nearly fallen asleep on Cyren several times, the tiny owl inching his way ever closer up the man's broad shoulders and towards his face every time it felt itself begin to doze off. Unfortunately just as the Rowlet felt the perfect angle for absorbing the sun's rays on his feathers as well as a great position for sleeping - it heard the commotion nearby and chittered a bit, considering an investigation but deciding too late to move as the Litten returned to its trainer in not so good shape. "What happened? Are you okay?!" The grass type chirped in a concerned fashion, watching her trainer apply first aid to the fire type with mild curiosity. Sadly this brought an alarming question to the Rowlet - if he had returned hurt from a battle, would his trainer be as kind as this one was? She seemed too terrified to come near him... And even if she wasn't scared, would Llonora care enough? Deadeye began to shuffle uncomfortably on Cyren's shoulders, ruffling it's feathers quietly while it chirped out a simple reply. "I won't, I will stay here." Cyren Braithwaite "I just wanted to play with the pretty colored rock. Turns out it was a Pokemon. It wasn't happy to see me." The kitten tried her best to explain what had happened to her when she wandered off. To be fair to the Rock Type, the fight had been entirely her fault. She shouldn't have been messing with things in the area without knowing what they were. As soon as the Litten was all patched up she paced in a small circle before laying down. She wanted to make sure there was nothing else around that would bug her while she tried to relax. Cyren patted Rhea's head. He was tempted to use his Pokemon's injuries as an excuse to pretend like he hadn't heard Llorona's question but he knew it would come up again eventually. With a small sigh he allowed his thoughts to wander back to their conversation. "Mom probably saw me leaving as something she had done wrong and decided to make sure she did everything "right" with you. You know she loves you. She's just afraid of losing you." Which was due to him up and leaving so suddenly. Cyren frowned, staring down at his Litten thoughtfully. "You know how mom is with you now? Imagine that but with a parent who doesn't realize you're his kid- not another possession. I saw a way out and I took it. Simple as that." His tone said there was more to it than he was letting on but it was clear he had no interest in discussing it in further detail right now. There were things Llorona didn't want to discuss much and there were things he didn't want to touch either. Cyren went silent then, looking down at his phone and noting the battery was starting to get low. He hadn't bothered to charge it since before the flight. "Gonna have to pick up a map eventually." A physical map would probably be helpful. He wouldn't have to rely on his phone as much then. "We can camp here if everyone is too tired to continue on." He looked between each of the Pokemon and his sister, waiting from a response from any one of them. It had been a long day. Resting would do them all some good.SorukaNyoki Trainer Encounter: 17/25 Wild Encounter: 2/5 Item Posting: Specific Lure 17/20 Inventory: Pokedex, Pokeballs x, Potions x{Pokemon} Rhea - Litten - Female Lv. 6 HP: 40 Exp: 10/16 Ability: Blaze: When HP is below 1/3rd, fire type attacks will do x1.5 their raw damage (type effectiveness included) Scratch- 30 Ember- 30 | 1/4 chance of burn Growl- Lowers target's attack by one stage Ledyba - Female Lv. 5 HP: 40 Exp: 6/15 Ability: Swarm: When HP is below 1/3rd, Bug type attacks do x1.5 their raw damage (type effectiveness included) Tackle- 20

Llorona BraithwaiteLaying on the rock as uncomfortable as it was, Llonora watched Cyren attend to his pokemon with mild amusement, though in the back of her mind she had to admit she still felt the strange, fleeting tinge of jealousy that she could not explain as anything other than her own pettiness. What did she care of her Rowlet was more comfortable with him than with her? It wasn't like she personally liked the thing even if it was stronger than she had expected. Thankfully she did not have long to dwell on her emotions - the surprised sound she made when he actually decided to indulge her topic causing the girl to sit up and snort at him in an almost impressed manner. "To be fair, her version of 'love' is probably the only one more messed up in our family than mine. And did you ever even tell her that you were leaving? Or why? Cuz as far as I can recall I just woke up one day and poof - another empty seat at the breakfast table." While she knew in her heart that she could never accurately say one way or another that he had just vanished, especially given that she had only been ten years old, to Llonora that had been just about the truth. One day she had her big brother to walk her down the road to her bus stop and the next she was being accompanied by a butler she had never been overly fond of. When Cy mentioned their father she sat straight up, though quickly shoved a finger into her mouth and began to slowly gnaw on her nail in an attempt to 'bite her tongue'. Unlike her brother, the black haired girl had idolized her daddy for as long as she could remember. No matter how indifferent or distant he could be, she had loved him and even now wanted to be what he was. Of course, neither their father nor Cy had ever really explained what drove him away in the first place, though through occasional mentioning of her sibling, she had pieced together that they didn't quite get along. Llonora had intended to ask Cyren why he had left the moment she knew he was coming to get her but... The moment she saw his face she couldn't bring herself to do it, just as she couldn't now. 'One day.' She thought to herself with a heavy sigh, raising an eyebrow at the mention of what she assumed was a paper map. "We could always get a phone charger? Speaking of.." The woman trailed off, flipping her cellular device open and expecting more of the same garbage she had seen people posting about her in social media. Of course when she found something equally disappointing she forced a laugh and turned the screen to her brother and the simple message that it had displayed. "Speaking of the literal devil. Mom says she has something for me? Or for both of us? Should be able to pick it up at a pokem- what? Camping?!" Cyren Braithwaite "I tried to bring it up once and it went about as well as you would expect. The night I left I really did just vanish. Wouldn't have been able to get out if I tried telling someone first." Getting out of there had been difficult enough as it was. Bringing it up the one time he had was a mistake on his part. The constant monitoring only seemed to get worse after that. He dealt with it for a while and as soon as it had let up just enough for him to get away unnoticed her seized the opportunity and left. "I have my charger with me. Unless that tree over there happens to have a convenient spot to plug it in I don't think having the thing is going to make much of a difference." Cy was happy to switch to a different topic. Discussing how things had happened in regards to him leaving him wasn't exactly something he was thrilled to discuss. "Yes. Camping. We're going to have to do that quite a bit on this trip. Most trainers do at some point." Cy hadn't bothered to start setting up camp yet. He was in no rush and, unlike Llorona, he was completely comfortable where he was sitting. They still had plenty of daylight to work with. "We can stop by the Pokemon Center tomorrow. We'll be going right by the one in Iki Town on our way to the city." Cyren carefully picked the Rowlet off of his shoulder and stood after setting Deadeye down beside Rhea. He wanted to explore just a bit more before they settled down for the night. With any luck he might even find a nicer area nearby where they could rest. "Have you ever gone camping?" He asked, curious if Llorona had ever spent a night outside of the house at any point after he had left.SorukaNyoki Trainer Encounter: 18/25 Wild Encounter: 3/5 Item Posting: Specific Lure 18/20 Inventory: Pokedex, Pokeballs x, Potions x{Pokemon} Rhea - Litten - Female Lv. 6 HP: 40 Exp: 11/16 Ability: Blaze: When HP is below 1/3rd, fire type attacks will do x1.5 their raw damage (type effectiveness included) Scratch- 30 Ember- 30 | 1/4 chance of burn Growl- Lowers target's attack by one stage Ledyba - Female Lv. 5 HP: 40 Exp: 7/15 Ability: Swarm: When HP is below 1/3rd, Bug type attacks do x1.5 their raw damage (type effectiveness included) Tackle- 20

Llorona Braithwaite"You could'a told me." She half muttered to her older brother, her eye twitching at the thought. Llonora had never considered Cyren and herself to be all that close but before he left she had considered him one of the people in her life she could look up to and trust. Now he was just some stranger with a free spirit she couldn't understand and a whole lot of extra muscle. When he mentioned the tree, the female actually looked over at it in an almost hopeful manner, palming her face when she realized she had been so absent-minded for a moment that she expected an outlet. "I get it Cy, paper maps are better when you are stranded in the middle of nowhere. . . But do we HAVE to sleep outside with the animals? So far the local wildlife hasn't exactly been thrilled with us." Llonora felt as though the last part of her opinion was valid. How could it not be when they had already been attacked by several different pokemon? The thought of waking to find an ekans, a ghastly, or... god forbid, her own Rowlet standing over her caused the girl to wrap her arms around herself and shudder. "C-can't we backtrack and SLEEP at the pokemon centers? That is allowed, right? I sorta need to pick up whatever mom left for me anyway soo.." She started to look around expectantly at that point, waiting for something to jump out and scare her - anything that could validate the uneasy feeling in her stomach. In the end it ended up being her own Pokemon, the creature fluttering over and perching itself on the rock beside her before it cooed, nearly causing Llonora to topple off of her sitting spot as she spoke. "Unless you count sleeping in the garden back home or the lake house in Icirrus city then NO. I don't like the outdoors Cy, I'm a person not a pokemon!" "Your tainer is so comfy." Deadeye chirped to his companion when Cyren picked it up and set him down on the ground. The humans appeared to be discussing their current situation and his did not seem all that enthusiastic about it. Not that this surprised the small pokemon in the least, so far his general understanding of Llonora was that nothing about anything seemed to make her happy. 'Except for winning.' He thought to himself, recalling the slight bit of compliment she had managed when the Rowlet saved her from the rock type pokemon she had stumbled over. Digging his beak into his feathers in an attempt to clean himself - Deadeye decided on his own that maybe it could take a page from her brother's book. The male seemed to be doing what he wanted despite what Llonora wanted... Maybe that was the only way to gain her acceptance? With this in mind the tiny grass type fluttered upward, carefully landing himself on the same perch his trainer had chosen even while giving her some personal space. It didn't seem to work very well, but at least she hadn't fallen. "Love me!" He chirped enthusastically, bobbing up and down while she continued to drone on. Cyren Braithwaite "I feel like telling a small child that her older brother planned on leaving and not coming home would have gone about as well as telling anyone else would have- if not worse." That seemed like something that would seriously upset a little kid and it definitely wasn't something he would have wanted to tell Llorona before he left. She was far too young. "Where's your sense of adventure? We're in a new place full of Pokemon we don't get to see often back home. Why not have some fun with it." He grinned, stretching himself out a bit before motioning down the path they were on. "I'm going for a walk. You're welcome to join me if you want." He started down the path with Ledyba in tow. For a Pokemon that seemed to dislike him so much she wasted very little time in following him down the path. Rhea hesitated. She looked up at Deadeye and meowed at him excitedly. "We're going for a walk! Come on! We can explore and play!" Rhea ran to catch up with Cyren, walking along behind him happily and humming to herself as she went. With her trainer around she could explore and not have to worry about rock monsters! He would know what it was and she could avoid it. Now that he was up and moving again Cyren was able to relax some. He was already forgetting the negative emotions that came with dealing with the past. There were more important things to worry about- like helping Llorona through the Gym challenge and, more importantly, figuring out where the cave entrance was supposed to be. Even if he couldn't talk Llorona into exploring the cave it would still be fun to see. Maybe they would be able to find some neat Pokemon around there too.SorukaNyoki Trainer Encounter: 19/25 Wild Encounter: 4/5 Item Posting: Specific Lure 19/20 Inventory: Pokedex, Pokeballs x, Potions x{Pokemon} Rhea - Litten - Female Lv. 6 HP: 40 Exp: 12/16 Ability: Blaze: When HP is below 1/3rd, fire type attacks will do x1.5 their raw damage (type effectiveness included) Scratch- 30 Ember- 30 | 1/4 chance of burn Growl- Lowers target's attack by one stage Ledyba - Female Lv. 5 HP: 40 Exp: 8/15 Ability: Swarm: When HP is below 1/3rd, Bug type attacks do x1.5 their raw damage (type effectiveness included) Tackle- 20

Llorona Braithwaite"I could have handled it Cy." She retorted immediately, adding with an equally quick tongue - "I dunno, probably back with my collection of stuffed animals and shattered childhood dreams? You like new - You've always been the weird one in the family. I like familiar... Unless its shoes, love me some new shoes." With a sigh she recalled a new line of clothing that was to be released back home soon, clothing she wouldn't get her hands on for a long, long time if the pacing of this journey so far was anything to reflect on. At the mention of a walk, the woman began to pluck at the straps on her new sandals, very much wanting to remind her brother that they had currently done little else today aside from walk already. If they were going to be sleeping outside she would much rather spend her time making sure the small area they were already in was at least somewhat habitable. Glancing over when she heard the small grass type Pokemon take off after Cy, Llonora waved them off - some time to herself would do her some good right? "Uh.." No sooner had Cyren and the crew of pokemon behind him disappeared around the closest bend in the path, that she swore she heard a sound from the bushes beside her, her eyes trailing the path her Rowlet had gone before she had to remind herself that the pokemon had deserted her. Reaching for her belt carefully, she didn't even wait to see what it was that had decided to sneak up on her, releasing the bonsly from inside of it's Pokeball and pointing towards the brush. "H-hey, you want to check that out for me? Please?" She asked, the small rock type jumping up and down in an irritated fashion at her request. Thankfully even if it was still a bit sore about the fact that Llonora had stepped on it in the middle of its midday nap - the Roggenrola that attacked it and sent the poor thing toppling over definitely got its attention. The poor bonsly seemed to wriggle on the ground much like a turtle on it's back for several moments while the opponent turned it's attention to Llonora, causing her to jump from the rock and take a few cautious steps back. "Okay, sure.. That... Isn't good. Why does this keep happening to me?!" She snapped to an empty field, shielding her face as the rock type lashed out in her direction with another firm tackle... "I'm coming!" The owl chirped, deciding right away that if Llonora did not want to pay it any attention that he could at least have some fun with the litten and her trainer. Unlike his own trainer, they were fun and they both seemed to like him a lot! Unfortunately, they hadn't gotten more than a few hundred feet away from the small spot they had been resting in when Deadeye began to feel badly for her. Sure she was strange and in no way what he had expected his trainer to be like, and sure - she was not the nicest to him today... "I'm gonna stay with my human... If you see any nice fishies bring them back though, okay?" He chittered down to the Litten. Cats liked to fish too right? Deadeye circled around and turned back towards where he assumed his trainer would be sleeping on a rock only to discover the poor Bonsly it had knocked out from earlier struggling to get up while a pokemon he wasn't sure he had ever seen before approached his trainer. For better or worse it seemed that she needed him, the tiny Pokemon darting down just in time to block the incoming Roggenrola with its head. The Rowlet tumbled over several times, bumping into Llonora's leg and trying to shake off the dizzy feeling the tackle had left it with. For a moment he almost even considered not getting back up - but then he turned his black pupils to her face and saw something he had not expected. 'Is she worried about me?' He thought, watching her facial expression for a moment and hoping to his feet and ruffling his feathers. "All of you rock things need to stay away from her!" He screeched, flaring his wings and firing a volley of leaves towards the pokemon - a very satisfying sound following when the Rogenrola instantly fainted and a Pokeball flew overhead to capture it. Cyren Braithwaite Rhea called after the Rowlet, trying to tell him to be careful before he wandered back to Llorona. His Type was strong against Rocks but it still couldn't hurt to warn him. She fell into step beside Cyren and Ledyba, staring up at both her trainer and the Bug Type. She still wasn't comfortable with the Ledyba's presence and the feeling was clearly mutual. The Bug Type was glaring down at her like she was the one who did something wrong. Rhea stuck her tongue out at the Ledyba, who rolled her eyes in response and looked back towards the path in front of them. The Litten missed Deadeye already. At least he was fun to talk to! Cyren stopped in a clear area of the path, glancing around curiously to see if he could spot any wild Pokemon wandering around. If they did end up camping out this appeared to be the perfect area but he didn't want to accidentally disturb a nest. This was the wild Pokemon's home. They were just passing through. He had just started exploring the area when he heard some sort of commotion back down the path. Llorona must have made another friend. He frowned, picking up Rhea and running back in the direction he had just come from. Leaving Llorona alone for any period of time apparently wasn't an option. She seemed to attract everything that could attack her. By the time he got back whatever had tried going after his sister had just been captured. He let out a relieved sigh, setting Rhea down so she could scurry over to Deadeye. "Are you okay?!" She meowed at her friend and frowned. He had been hurt! "What happened?" Cy asked calmly as he looked over Llorona, noting that she appeared to be in one piece still. He was glad to see she was okay. He had been very worried. "Were you hurt?"SorukaNyoki Trainer Encounter: 20/25 Wild Encounter: 5/5 Item Posting: Inventory: Pokedex, Pokeballs x, Potions x, Specific Lure{Pokemon} Rhea - Litten - Female Lv. 6 HP: 40 Exp: 13/16 Ability: Blaze: When HP is below 1/3rd, fire type attacks will do x1.5 their raw damage (type effectiveness included) Scratch- 30 Ember- 30 | 1/4 chance of burn Growl- Lowers target's attack by one stage Ledyba - Female Lv. 5 HP: 40 Exp: 9/15 Ability: Swarm: When HP is below 1/3rd, Bug type attacks do x1.5 their raw damage (type effectiveness included) Tackle- 20

Llorona BraithwaiteThis made twice in one day her Rowlet had appeared from nowhere in the nick of time and saved her skin. This time though, the poor Pokemon actually appeared to have taken quite the hit, sitting close to the ground and ruffling his feathers irritably. Once Llonora had retrieved the ball she attempted to get close to the bird type, gathering her courage and reaching into her bag of potions only to nearly jump out of her skin when Cyren and the litten re-approached her. "I'm fine!" She snapped, realizing quickly that it hadn't been anywhere near Cyren's fault that the Roggenrola had attacked her. "I'm fine, sorry." She repeated in a much nicer tone the second time around. Taking to one knee beside the Rowlet, Llonora removed a potion and took to staring at it curiously. Sure she had vaguely recalled proper application of medical items for Pokemon in school- and yes, Cyren had literally used one earlier on his Litten. But this did not necessarily mean she wasn't going to be wary about it. In the kindest tone she had used in.... Well, a very long time, the young woman carefully reached out to her pokemon, wincing when her fingers found Deadeye's wing. "Huh... Erm, hold still alright?" His feathers were shockingly soft to the touch - not that she had really known what to expect. In Llonora's mind bird pokemon feathers were rough and gross, but the reality was much different. When she tried to pull his wing open the first time, the poor creature seemed to chatter at her, nearly causing the green eye'd female to lose her nerve. But then it stopped and took to staring at her, and then the potion she held, considering something before opening up to her. "He hit me really hard but I am okay... My trainer is touching me!" As bad as he felt from the fight with the rock type, everything seemed completely worth it now that his trainer was finally giving him some sort of attention. In fact, when she initially touched him, the Rowlet couldn't help but chirp in excitement! This excitement ended when he realized he was scaring her, but on the inside he was smiling about as much as a pokemon with a beak could! Once she had begun to spray the strange potion onto him, Deadeye's body relaxed a bit, the pain subsiding until it could move freely again. "She touched me, did you see it?" The tiny bird squawked to his friend, watching Llonora stand back up and hopping back a few paces to give her the space she seemed so adamant about having...Unless she didn't? "You win Cy, I'll go for a walk." She stated flatly, replacing the potion and quickly returning the Bonsly she had tried to use earlier before, against her better judgement - extending her arm down to the Rowlet who seemed to look at her in disbelief. Sure, the thought of this creature's claws on her arm made her want to gag - but he had saved her life twice today. Respect was due, even if only for a small while. Cyren Braithwaite Cyren was actually proud of his sister. Not only was she taking the time to heal her Rowlet's injuries- she was actually touching the bird and allowing him to ride on her arm. She had made a great deal of progress with the little owl considering it was only her first day with him. The number of wild Pokemon that had taken umbrage with Llorona were proving to be very helpful. Soon she would have a full team and perhaps she would be willing to cooperate with her Rowlet. Cyren patted his little sister's head before starting back down the path, this time waiting for her to actually follow him. If he left her alone for too long something else was bound to pounce on her. "She's being nice! It's weird but I'm so happy for you!" Rhea walked alongside of Llorona, hopping up and down happily a few times before running to catch up with Cy. She was glad for her friend. He was okay and his trainer was being good! All of his hard work was paying off! The little kitty looked back at Deadeye and smiled at him. "She's not so bad when she's being a good hum- myu!" The Litten meowed when she collided with her trainer's leg. Why had he stopped so suddenly?! She looked around him to see what had caused him to stop and frowned when she saw Ledyba facing off against a Machop. It was a wonder the Fighting Type managed to hit the Bug at all considering she was flying pretty high above her but the stubborn little thing managed to kick Ledyba right down to the ground. The Bug Type was a bit dazed by the hit but she still managed to tackle the Machop. Cyren shrugged, fishing a Pokeball out of his bag while the two Pokemon continued to fight with each other. He couldn't leave anyone with him alone it seemed. If he did they would end up getting themselves into trouble. While he was busy retrieving a Pokeball Ledyba was knocked to the ground...again. The Bug slammed into the Machop, trying to pin her to the ground and keep her still. "Is it still a cat fight if they aren't cats?" Rhea looked up at Deadeye, expecting the Rowlet to know the answer to her question. Cyren tossed the Pokeball at the Machop. It shook on the ground for several seconds before it went still. The Pokemon had been captured. He retrieved the Pokeball and knelt down, carefully picking up his Ledyba before he stood again. "You did well, my dear. Rest for now. I'll take care of your wounds once we find somewhere to stop for the night." He told her as he gently rubbed one of her injured wings. Rhea expected the Bug Type to snap at him and try to fly on her own when he decided to hold her but instead she sat completely still, staring up at him. The Litten was convinced the Ledyba had somehow turned a brighter shade of red. That would be another thing she would have to ask Deadeye about. She didn't know Ledyba could turn bright red! "Let's continue on ahead, shall we?" Cy grinned before continuing on, following the same path he had earlier. He was sure he would be able to find that same spot he had seen before he ran back to check on Llorona.

Llorona BraithwaiteThe Rowlet's eyes grew wide when his trainer offered out her arm, resisting the urge to cheer in favor of having some 'class' as he expected she might want. With an exaggeratedly slow waddle, the small Pokemon made it's way across the small distance between them and sat awkwardly on her forearm a moment before carefully making his way to her shoulder. Even then Deadeye was weary of her space, leaning away from her slightly in an attempt to make her more comfortable no matter how awkward they must have looked. "Super weird! But I don't care! She's letting me up!" He managed in the most hushed and yet excited chirp ever conceived by a pokemon. It took everything within the Rowlet not to try and nuzzle her cheek! When Deadeye looked down at her arm he noticed the goose-bumps there and took them as intended. She was still very uneasy about holding him... But at least she was trying? "I hope she keeps being good. I think I scare her a little." The poor owl did not understand her fear of him, after all, she had chosen him and he was doing his best. But again, she was trying and that was all he needed to be content for the moment while they began their stroll to wherever it was that the humans intended to go. Had Llonora her wits about her when Cyren began to pat her head as if she were still ten years old, she would have cuffed him a good one for sure. Since the woman was much more preoccupied with the creeping sensation of her Pokemon clambering onto her arm, however, the action was ignored almost entirely, her skin breaking out just slightly under his touch even when she realized the physical action was neither harmful nor painful to her. "I'm definitely not staying her alone again. If we gotta walk, then let's get this over with." She huffed while following them until they finally encountered a Pokemon she readily recognized! "Oh! Hey a machop!" She sneered, removing a Pokeball from her belt only to scowl when Cyren's Ledyba immediately engaged it. This was hardly fair! The first Pokemon she knew how to use effectively and her brother had managed to get to it first?! With a sigh she continued to hold the ball in her palms in the 'unfortunate' event that all of his Pokemon were defeated, her eyes narrowing as she actually leaned into her grass type and muttered - "If they all lose you knock that thing down so we can catch it M'kay?"She had hardly finished the sentence before the struggle ended with the bug type just narrowly defeating the Machop, Llonora's shoulders slumping when she put her own empty ball away and fell into step behind her brother once more. "I dunno, if I fight another bird I think it's a pecking contest so.." He responded automatically when the Litten spoke to him, bobbing up and down enthusiastically while the fight continued. He was pleasantly surprised that the Ledyba had done so well against its opponent, especially given that it had already been defeated twice today! Once the battle was over, Rowlet's pupils seemed to dilate while it observed Cyren and his bug type, a happy chirp following soon after. "I think that the bugger is... What is the human word? Cyren Braithwaite "She had the type advantage. Machop was faster but it could only do so much against Ledyba." Why he was bothering to explain this to Llorona was beyond him- she had mentioned having done very well in her class- but he still felt it necessary to try to be helpful and explain why his Ledyba had won. As far as he had been concerned Ledyba had won before the battle had even started. He patted his Ledyba's head when she began to squirm in his arms. Something appeared to have upset her. He had no idea what. "I'm not smitten! I don't even like him!" She snapped at Deadeye and looked ready to tear the Rowlet apart for even suggesting something like that before Cy began petting her. She glared at Deadeye for a second before deciding he wasn't worth the effort, focusing on being petted instead. "I think she's starting to warm up to me." Cyren commented with a playful grin. The Ledyba had seemed so very against him when he first caught her. If he was lucky then maybe she would eventually accept him as her trainer. He wasn't going to force the Bug Type to cooperate with him if she didn't want to. "I still need to name you." He muttered to himself as he glanced down at the Ledyba. He would need to name the Machop now too.
While Cy was busy figuring out names for his Pokemon, Rhea was running up and down the path excitedly. She would sprint a short distance away from the others before running back to them. The Litten was happy and she still had plenty of energy to spare! Her trainer had caught another Pokemon, Deadeye's trainer was making an attempt to be a person, and they were getting to explore! She already knew the path due to Cy wandering off by himself for a bit earlier but she still stopped and sniffed at the different plants in the area and occasionally swatted at things with her paw. Today was a good day! By the time they reached their destination the Litten had managed to wear herself out. She laid down quietly in the first comfy spot she could find, staring at the two trainers and the other Pokemon with a playful little smile. "You would think the battles she went through earlier would have been enough exercise for her." Cy chuckled, sitting down beneath a nearby tree so he could begin taking care of his Pokemon. His Machop was going to need some attention too. "You're doing great with him by the way." Cyren motioned towards the Rowlet rested on Llorona's shoulder. He was glad to see how well she was warming up to him. The Rowlet clearly still made her uncomfortable but she hadn't run screaming from it yet. "Mom will be pleased when she hears you're getting along with a bird." He added a few moments later after he had retrieved a Potion from his bag and started to spray his Ledyba's wings. Llorona Braithwaite"Type advantage? Ledyba is a- uh..." Despite knowing how absolutely stupid she looked whenever she actually paused to think, Llonora stopped a moment and seemed to go into deep thought, remembering page after page of her Pokemon combat and study course until something in her finally clicked, causing the female to rub the back of her head as she reddened. "Oh yeah - Bug-type and flying type. I guess it did have the advantage. That does not make it any less cool that she managed to knock that Machop out... If you had failed I would'a been right there to catch it and rub it in your face!" Clearly she was in a good mood with the Rowlet on her shoulder, even if a small part of her had been completely serious about taking advantage of the situation should it have occurred. Llonora actually started to take in her surroundings while they walked, somewhat due to the fact that the area was quite pretty even if she didn't much care for the outdoors - with the other, more prominent reason being that she shivered whenever she met eyes with the owl pokemon now that it was a foot from her face. Anything was better to stare at than it's blank eyes. "Ledyba and trainer, sittin' in a tree~! K-...Erm... Kissing." If the Rowlet was afraid that the Ledyba would attack it, the little grass type showed none of his fear, chirping lightly so as not to frighten his trainer. He was happy the bug had ended up with Cyren, the trainer seemed to love it like he loved all of his Pokemon so far. While they walked, Rowlet amused itself by watching the Litten, his sharp eyes dilating repeatedly whenever the small fire starter would run ahead. "I wanna come play but I dunno if my trainer is going to let me snuggle her more if I leave." Deadeye called to the Litten at one point, shrinking down a bit when the noises he had made seemed to startle Llonora. He only hoped she got over whatever nervousness she felt soon so that he could be by her side every day. By the time they had reached their stopping point, Llonora yawned lazily, settling herself down onto the first rock she came across in this particular area and slumping forward. A small part of her hoped the Rowlet would fall or fly away once she did so but the thing seemed very determined not to leave her... Which she supposed was okay for now. At least it had stopped squawking into her ear. "Huh? What - this guy?" She asked, snorting and pointing to the owl on her shoulder before waving her brother off. She might have enjoyed the perceived comment but that did not mean the woman had any intention of letting Cyren know that. "He isn't all bad for a bird." Stretching herself out a bit and crossing her legs, the green-eyed woman looked at her brother deviously and smirked - using her best little sister voice to try and coax him into giving into an impossible demand. "Oh yes, mother will be so proud of me. Maybe if you just... Ya know, spin the story a bit and let her know just how impressed you are the old hag might let me come home tomorrow? You are her baby boy after all!" She giggled, straightening out her dress. Of course he wouldn't do that for her but it never hurt to hope she could be on a plane tomorrow back to her hometown. Cyren Braithwaite "You're just jealous my trainer actually likes me." Ledyba glared at the Rowlet before settling back down. She was not going to let Deadeye ruin this for her. The Ledyba remained completely still until Cyren was done taking care of her. She hadn't even noticed that he had stopped spraying her with the potion until he set her down in front of himself. "Try flying. Your wings shouldn't give you any trouble now." Sure enough, her wings held up just fine. Cyren gave her a gentle pat on the head before letting her do as she pleased. "I don't think mom's going to let you return this early, Llorona. You know how stubborn she is. You're stuck here until she decides you're ready to go home. Try to think of the positives- you were sent to a gorgeous region and you've already met a bunch of Pokemon." Once their mother had her mind set on something she wouldn't let it go. Llorona was going to be stuck in Alola until she had collected at least a few badges and made some friends like their mom wanted her to. Still, he wanted to try to reassure her. It wasn't all bad. Cyren released his Machop from her Pokeball, examining the injuries on the confused Pokemon before holding up a Potion for her to see. "Mind if I patch you up a bit?" The Machop didn't look particularly bothered by the few bruises she had and almost considered rejecting her new trainer's offer. Leaving herself injured wouldn't do her any good however. He was trying to be nice to her so she would allow him to help her. After the Machop sat down and appeared to relax some he went to work spraying the Potion on her next, carefully rubbing it into one particularly sore looking area by hand. "He'll be a good partner for you. He seems to adore you already." Either that or his sister was an exceptionally comfortable perch for the Rowlet. He didn't seem to want to leave her shoulder. "I'm thinking Venus for your name...and Mercury for you. How do you two feel about that?" The Machop nodded lazily in acknowledgement of her new name while the Ledyba looked beyond please by her name for all of five seconds before looking away and pretending not to care one way or another. Their reactions were still better than he had expected. He wasn't particularly good at naming things.SorukaNyoki Trainer Encounter: 23/25 Wild Encounter: 3/5 Item Posting: Vs. Llorona Braithwaite"Hey!" Deadeye jumped from his trainer's shoulder and into the dirt, flaring his wings a bit in irritation at the comment provided by the bug type Pokemon. He had only been teasing the Ledyba but the annoying insect seemed to think it was alright to insult him as a result. "Birds eat bugs, remember that." He chittered in warning, his head turning completely around when he realized what he had done. Llonora seemed to be staring at him with the same look she had been wearing most of the day again, probably as a result of his shrill cry and sudden movement from her shoulder. "Oh no..." Turning its full attention back to his trainer, the Rowlet hopped along the ground carefully until he was at her feet, nudging his soft feathered face against her leg gently in apology. She seemed to understand at first but that did not stop the woman from drawing her legs up onto the rock a few moments later and wrap her arms around them. He had been so close but the Ledyba had ruined it for him! The Rowlet hung its head a bit, waddling a bit closer to the rock and puffing itself out. He would have to avoid touching her again it seemed, but that did not mean he was going to stray any further from her than completely necessary in case some other annoying insect or rock monster thought they could bother his trainer! "I know, I know! But it doesn't hurt to hope okay? But how else is she going to know if I am doing well unless she either flies here - which we both know isn't happening or asks you how I'm doing? You could definitely put in a good word, I am your sister after all!" The 'positives' he spoke of caused Llonora's eyes to nearly roll back into her head, the woman heaving a sigh after her Rowlet scared the living day out of her shortly after. It was upset about something clearly and she really just hoped it wasn't another wild Pokemon coming out of the woodwork. She had, had all she could stand of this area and it's nature for one day. As Cyren released his Machop the girl seemed to almost have a moment of clarity. Should she have chosen to, she could have easily let her own partners out and let them play. "Are you gonna be naming them all? And weird names at that... I got a skitty had home that we've had for six years and I haven't named it yet." She shrugged, seemingly ignoring his comment regarding how good the Rowlet was going to be for her. If she was going to be traveling with it and he was going to keep being fantastic in a fight - then sure, she could handle how alien the thing was. But that did not mean she was going to like him any more than she absolutely had to. She watched Cyren's Machop for a few moments before recalling her earlier thought - carelessly tossing her three other Pokeballs to the ground in front of her one at a time until a small crowd consisting of a black rat, a tree-shaped rock, and a ... well, a not tree-shaped rock sat before her, each of them looking first to each other and then to her in immediate confusion. Thankfully a few chitters from Deadeye seemed to get their attention and prevent panic. Whatever the little Owl had said it had straightened the others out. Cyren Braithwaite Rhea frowned and stood, stretching herself out and walking over to Deadeye. She rubbed herself against him and purred softly, trying to comfort her Rowlet friend. "It's okay. She'll hold you again soon. She's still learning to be good." The Litten hoped she sounded reassuring. She didn't want to accidentally upset Deadeye further. After a few more seconds of snuggling him Rhea decided to lay down, placing one of her paws against his back and leaving it there. He seemed to like physical contact. Maybe touching him would keep him happy. "We should run together when I get my energy back. Running is fun!" The Litten meowed excitedly. Distracting him with thoughts of playing might also help the process of cheering him up along.
"I wouldn't doubt that mom already knows how you're doing without me having to tell her." He expected his parent to send some sort of Pokemon to follow them. He assumed it was a bird of some sort, flying high above them since he had yet to notice it. If their parent had become every bit as clingy as Llorona had claimed after he had left then they were definitely being watched. "Naming them feels correct. They're my partners and it helps the bonding process along." As soon as he was finished helping Venus he let the Machop wander over to Llorona's newly released Pokemon. She seemed to be studying both of the Rocks in the group. After a moment she picked them both up, testing the weight of both Bonsly and Roggenrola before setting them both down. "If the Skitty was happy then it not having a name probably didn't matter. I personally prefer to name my partners. Pokemon aren't pets. They have thoughts and feelings of their own." Cyren watched his Machop as she walked around, looking for anything remotely heavy to lift. Resting wasn't an option for her apparently. "This is our first day with these little ones. The more time we spend with them, the more we'll learn about their personalities. Maybe you could try naming them once you get to know them better."SorukaNyoki Trainer Encounter: 24/25 Wild Encounter: 4/5 Item Posting: Vs. Llorona Braithwaite "Everyone pay attention - That girl is our trainer and you will be nice to her this time around!" He chittered in warning at the three Pokemon present, who seemed less malicious and more confused than anything. This combined with the fact that the poor Rattata had no idea what was even going on caused the three to talk amongst themselves for a few moments while the Rowlet watched. He wouldn't let any of them try to hurt Llonora as they had before. When the Litten came over and nuzzled the tiny owl, Deadeye whistled a small sigh. He was being mean to Llonora's new friends and hadn't even realized it. "You really think so? I hope she will... She is more fun to lay on than your trainer because she has Rowlet sized shoulders!" He chirped, lifting one foot, opening and closing his small talons a few times in demonstration before settling back down and returning the affection the fire type was giving him. He was not a fan of the irritating Ledyba but as far as he was concerned, Rhea was shaping up to be a good friend for a fire pokemon. At the mention of running, the owl bobbed up and down a few times, fluffing his plume of feathers against her paw and chirping happily while he raised his foot again for Rhea to observe. "I am not good at running. But I can fly behind you if you like, it looked like a lot of fun earlier!"Scratching her head curiously the woman watched her pokemon interact amongst themselves quietly for a time. As much as she hated giving Cyren credit for anything - watching them was proving his point considerably, especially where her Rowlet and the Litten were concerned. They seemed to be conversing in some fashion and it was almost unnerving how human it was. "Huh? What makes you think that? She is a rich house widow sure, but even she must have something better to do than spy on her children a continent anyway." Even while the words slipped from her lips, the jade eyed female squinted and started to look around. The more she thought about it the scarier it became to her - this would not be the first time their mother had decided to eavesdrop on her activities unannounced and without provocation. Thankfully she did not have to dedicate attention to either the fact that they were probably being followed or Cyren's sappy reasoning for naming his Pokemon for very long, the newest member of their group causing the woman to grin before she could stop herself. "You are so lucky to have a fighting type Pokemon like her. If I wasn't so dead set against having the same partners as you I would start looking for one myself right now." Her eyes followed the Machop while it began to lift her pokemon in ironic amusement even while the poor rock pokemon seemed to go completely still in its hands. Neither the Bonsly or the Roggenrola wanted anything to do with Venus. "Yeah, yeah, I know. They are just like us except weird looking and scary in most cases. I get it Cy." She chided on, waving him off before a sudden, sarcastic idea came to the woman, causing her to leap from her spot on the rock and walk in a slow circle around the three new pokemon. Each of them seemed to rotate as she did so, watching her in a mix of confusion and curiosity until she finally stopped, pointing at each one and naming them respectively. "Whiskers, Stumpy, and...... Pebbles? Yeah, let's go with Pebbles." She shrugged helplessly, each of the three pokemon looking at each other and then back to her. At least the Roggenrola seemed okay with its name. "I could get to know them better OR they can work for better names. I think that is a much better system, don't you?" She offered childishly, lacing her fingers behind her head and adding now that her naming process was complete - "So what do we do now fearless leader? Because I didn't bring a tent or anything camping related."
