Even with the combined stomachs of Kaiser, Violet, Nephelie, and Orville, Kaiser still ended up being ushered out the door with several containers of leftovers stored in her satchel, along with a few other items Violet gave her in lieu of payment. "If you need a place to stay for the night, I've got a free couch in my apartment," Violet said, leaning against the door frame.
Kaiser checked the horizon, towards which the sun was rapidly setting. "It's fine. I can still make it to Oldale before midnight." She'd have to navigate by flashlight, but she wasn't as worried about traveling in the dark as she'd been before. At this point she knew what Nephelie was capable of as a battler. Orville, not so much, but that was a problem for another day.
"I don't know when I'll be back in town. Maybe a few days, maybe a month." She gestured at the building. "This place won't fall apart without me, will it?"
Violet tilted her head and tapped her chin. "Well..."
Kaiser stared at her. "Violet."
With a sudden burst of laughter, Violet pulled Kaiser in for a one-armed hug. "Of course not! I'm still here, aren't I? You just worry about yourself, Kaiser. And if this whole Pokemon research thing doesn't work out, you can come right back here. I'd be happy to have you here full-time."
"Thanks, Violet, but I wouldn't give up that easily," Kaiser said as she awkwardly patted Violet's back, though she was smiling.
Violet released her. "That's my girl. Go and do great things."
They parted ways there, but Violet kept waving until Kaiser and her Pokemon were out of sight.

 Minako Afton The Future Champion Minako walked onto the route outside littleroot town with a smile. She was going to head straight to Oldale town and to petalberge, but she knew she had to push through here first. She had her Mudkip in her arms and her Umbreon padded beside her as they headed out into the open air. Many Poochyena Zigzagoon and Wuempul were around, but she was more focused on what her own two pokemon were doing, playing around and having fun with one another. She gigled a bit watching Umbreon and Mudkip start to chase eachother around . She then picked back up Mudkip, and continued walking toward Oldale town. She soon came upon oldale town, and headed to it She kept her Mudkip in her arms and her Umbreon continued to pad beside her scaring away any wild pokemon whome dared come to close.  Minako Afton The Future Champion Minako hummed to herself as she boarded a train to Vaniville town for the Around the world event. She had decided she wanted to see what Kalos was like, so she and her Galiga boarded the train leaving her home region of hoenn behind for the time being. Tpo her, it was a chance to get away. While on the train, a rogue alolan vulpix jumped into her pokeball and ended up travelling with her. She snickered a bit and gave it the light clay she had picked up in the Oldale Town Pokemart. Elfana Aroway Their ship arrived in Littleroot Town late in the morning, which was something Elfana was grateful for. She had slept through the majority of the ride there and had more or less rolled out of bed and got off the boat. Cleaning up her appearance could wait until they arrived at the first Pokemon Center. All things considered, she felt significantly better. At some point during their trip Walter must have had a conversation with the Rufflet because Oryx avoided landing on her shoulder again. He was giving her space to adjust to his presence. She appreciated that. If he continued to give her space he might start to grow on her. She hoped he would anyway. Bird or not, he was part of her team. He deserved the same care the rest of her Pokemon received. Oryx did not deserve to be punished for the position Arceus forced him into. For now she would try to avoid panicking when he approached. If she could keep that up consistently until they were out of Hoenn then she could move on to trying to truly befriend him. Hoenn

Elfana Aroway Elfana was still browsing her phone after she had settled down in the station to wait for her train. Come to think of it, how was there a train route to anywhere outside of Hoenn? Wasn't the majority of the region surrounded by water? "Probably best not to think about it." Walter glanced over at her and waited for her to explain that statement. She didn't though. The doctor didn't seem aware that she had said anything to begin with. She finally put her phone down when their train arrived. They would be dealing with Fighting Types in their next Gym. She wasn't the least bit concerned about it. Her lack of Pokemon that could overpower them just made it that much more interesting. They would have a challenge. Exiting the lab he found himself back in Littleroot Town. He wanted to explore the surprisingly large town and see what it had to offer. But more than any of that he wanted to make sure that he got to see this Treecko, give it a name, and see what kind of Pokemon he was. Despite how cool he usually came off he was actually pretty excited now that he had his own Pokemon and was about to start on a journey. He always was a little jealous when he saw other trainers playing and training with their Pokemon but now he had one of his own. Wandering away from the lab, with his hands tucked into his pockets he made his way towards the water, that would be as good a place as any to check out his new Pokemon and get his bearings for where he was going to head next. As he walked along the roadway he heard a whistle from a nearby train station that caught his attention and he thought about the train system that led to the different regions and smiled, "I guess I don't have to start in Hoenn..." he muttered to himself as his face melted into the more serious look that he wore when he wasn't putting on for others. Kenji came to a small quiet area in Littleroot, a bench overlooking the boats coming and going from the bay and a small parkspace area with grass and some flowers. This part of Hoenn was very peaceful and not at all as bustling and busy as Lilycove and Mossdeep were. He unslung his bag and set it down on the bench before sitting down next to the bag on the bench. It was still midday and he had plenty of time before the sun would go down, and so was in no rush to get moving on his journey, whatever direction he would wind up going. He rolled the ball between his fingers before expanding it to the normal size and tossing it out. A red tendril of energy shot out before the glowing shape of the pokemon emerged. He was a small green lizard looking pokemon with sharp yellow eyes. Its eyes darted to and fro before focusing on the trainer who leaned forward on the bench. Ken scrunched his nose and examined the little guy, “Well, you’re Treecko huh?” The Treecko looked into the trainers eyes with a defiant stare. Kenji laughed and leaned back on the bench before flipping open the dex, “Treecko, the wood gecko pokemon, Treecko is cool, calm, and collected—it never panics under any situation. If a bigger foe were to glare at this Pokémon, it would glare right back without conceding an inch of ground.” The dex read out the description and so far it was pretty spot on. “So what are we gonna call you?” He asked as the Treecko began to explore the space, he was acting fairly brave for a small pokemon in a big world. “You do look like a dragon, I don’t know why Birch didn’t just mention you to begin with…” He studied the little guy and snapped his fingers, “Kiryu.” The name came to him, using the kanji 木 and 龍 he would give it the meaning ‘Tree Dragon,’ a name he was fond of that god a nod of tough approval from the Treecko 7/ Wild Pokemon

He spent a while getting to know Treecko, playing with him and riling him up. It was clear that the grass pokemon was scrappy and liked to fight, he seemed to hate losing at even the little games that they were playing. It was a trait that Ken couldn’t help but enjoy as he was very much the same way. But before long he realized that they would have to be on their way because he was excited to actually battle and get their feet under them. As he returned Kiryu to his ball he tucked it into a special compartment on his bag he intended to keep his party in. The bag was specially made by a tailor that his dad knew so that all of the compartments had their own special purposes. Reaching in to put it into the first slot he felt that there was already a pokeball in there. Furrowing his brow he pulled the ball out, that had a note attached with an elastic band. Unfurling the note he read it out loud,
"Hey Kid, just a present from me and mom, become the greatest champ -Dad” He smirked and shook his head while he expanded the ball. Tossing it out to the ground the white silhouette of the pokemon appeared. He definitely didn’t recognize it, it looked like a small blue bipedal wolf/humanoid. Luckily the dex was still in his hand, “Riolu, the emanation pokemon, It can use waves called auras to gauge how others are feeling. These same waves can also tell this Pokémon about the state of the environment.” Riolu, he didn’t recognize it, scratching his chin he watched the energetic pokemon run and jump around, it had seemingly boundless energy. Kenji wasn’t sure what to name this guy either and it was clear that naming would be a problem, he wanted to give him a badass name, but he wasn’t sure what would fit. He used 戦士 feeling like he should use a kanji for his other pokemon as well, later down the line he would rethink his naming structure but for now this worked. It meant “Senshi”, which was translated to Fighter. He thought that it would fit as the little guy seemed to want to get out there and brawl more than Kenji did, even play fighting with the much larger and stronger trainer. Kenji couldn’t help but like this guy as well. He was thankful to his parents, who had already done a bunch for him, but this was awesome. It was time to make a move. He had spent enough time with his team to get to know them well enough that he was comfortable battling with them. And now he had to make a choice, which he had already made in his head a while ago. He was going to head to the Sinnoh region north of Hoenn and tackle their gym challenge first. From there he would travel to either the Johto or Kanto region before finally handling the last region he could reach by train, his home of Hoenn. Or that was the plan anyways. Heading to the train station he knew that his parents knew that he would be gone for a while so he didn’t really feel the need to head to Lilycove to say goodbye and that a phone call would likely be enough that he would make from the train. He would probably miss his nephew more than anyone as he was at a fun age and having pokemon battles with the fledgling trainer would also be fun, but he could always do that when he got back. Brian walked back to his parents' house right after leaving the lab. He needed to make sure they didn't need anything before he left town to start the task the Professor had assigned him. Not to mention, he was sure they would want to meet his new Torchic. Speaking of the Torchic, Brian had yet to actually meet the little guy, and he figured now was as good a time as any to make his introduction. Taking Torchic's Pokeball from his belt, he enlarged it and tossed it into the air, releasing the little Fire-type. Torchic blinked as the light hit his eyes, then turned to look at the human that had let him out of his ball. Hmm, this one seemed interesting, looking at the big thing on the human's back. Perhaps this one could help Torchic reach his full potential, but only time would tell. "Hey, Torchic," Brian said, drawing the Fire-type's attention to himself as he knelt down next to him. "My name is Brian, and I'm yer new trainer. I'm only just starting out, but I think we can be friends. Now, ye need a name. Hmm, how do ye like Aeros?" Torchic wasn't sure what this "name" was, but it sounded pretty interesting, so he gave an affirmative chirp, making Brian smile. With his new partner named, the young trainer rose and headed into his parents' house, calling out to see if anyone was there.

When Brian called out into the house, someone was there, but it wasn't his parents that greeted him. Instead, he had to sidestep as Abby, his mother's Lucario, aimed a gentle kick at his legs. "Nice try, Abby, but ye'll have to do better than that to catch me off guard," Brian said, grinning at the annoyed look on the Fighting/Steel-type's face. This was a common occurrence between them, and had been for several years, ever since he'd made it known he wanted to start a journey of his own. He knew she wasn't really trying to hurt him; this was Abby's way of making sure he was ready if a wild Pokemon happened to try and catch him off guard. Hearing the commotion, Brian's mother, Allison, came into the living room from the back, where she'd been tending some of her and Adam's Pokemon. "Welcome home, Brian!" she said, giving him a brief hug before looking at the Torchic she could see next to his leg. "Oh, who is this?" she asked, leaning down to allow Aeros to approach her if he desired. "This is Aeros," Brian said. "I just got him from Professor Birch." "He's a very handsome boy," Anna said, making Aeros fluff his feathers a bit with pride and give a happy chirp. "Will you be heading to Oldale town today?" "Aye, I just came home to let ye and Dad meet Aeros, and to make sure that I've got everything I need before I head out," Brian said, nodding.

While Brian and his mother were talking, his father, Adam, came into the room, smiling when he saw his son and the Torchic standing next to him. "So you went with Torchic, then?" he asked. Brian nodded. "His name is Aeros," he said. "Fiery," Adam said, nodding. "You always did have a thing for unique names." "It makes it easier to differentiate in case I wind up against an opponent with the same Pokemon as me," Brian said. Adam was right; Brian had always had a fascination with names that were unique, especially if they had a meaning to them. "I'm getting ready to head to Oldale Town," Brian told his parents. "Is there anything ye want me to get while I'm there?" "If you could pick up some more Oran and Pecha berries, I'd be grateful," Allison said. "Those are the two I use the most in Pokeblock, and I'm currently running low on them." "Of course, I'll pick some up and send them back here," "Actually, I'll go with you, son," Adam said. "I need to pick up some things for dinner, anyway, so I'll bring the berries back with me." Brian nodded, and turned his attention to Aeros and Abby to find the two staring each other down. He was a bit surprised at the Torchic's tenacity. The Fire-type would be a force to be reckoned with once he was fully evolved, but Brian knew he would have to temper the Torchic's fiery personality somehow. He could already see that Aeros would be a handful if he wasn't careful, so he would have to start devising a training plan for him right away.

"Alright, Aeros, are ye ready to head out?" Brian asked. The Torchic in question kept his staring contest with Abby going for only a moment longer, then turned to his trainer and gave a chirp of affirmation. Seeing this, Brian gave a nod and turned to Adam, who had grabbed a hat and put it on. As the two were about to walk out the door, Allison held up a hand to stop them. "Oh, Brian, before you head out, I have something for you," she said, heading toward the back. Brian wondered what his mother could have for him that he didn't already have, and when she returned, he was surprised to see a small figure following her. "A traveling breeder from Sinnoh passed through a couple of weeks ago," Allison said. "He had a Pokemon that seemed to be afraid of him for some reason, and he couldn't understand why, so when he was visiting the Professor, he stopped by here and asked us if we would be willing to take and raise that Pokemon, since nothing he did seemed to calm it. Of course, we said yes, but unfortunately, we're having a similar issue, but it's not afraid of us so much as it's afraid of Abby." "I'm guessing ye want me to raise this one?" Brian asked, and Allison nodded, then turned to the Pokemon that was now hiding behind her legs. "It's alright, he won't hurt you," she said, her voice soft and soothing. Hearing her tone, the small Pokemon peeked out from behind her legs, and when he saw it, Brian was quite surprised. The Pokemon hiding behind his mother was a Ralts, and a very shy one, at that, if its actions were anything to go by.
From what he'd read about the Ralts line, he knew they were incredibly shy, due to their ability to sense the emotions of those around them, and they tended to stay away if they sensed any ill will in a potential trainer. For this one to be afraid of the man that had owned it before, perhaps it had sensed some kind of darnkess in him that made it uneasy around him. Brian didn't move as the Ralts slowly inched its way out from behind his mother, other than to kneel down slowly, so as not to startle it. "Hey, there, little one," he said, his voice soft and calm. "It's alright, I won't hurt ye. Ye can sense my emotions, right?" Almost as if it could understand him, the Ralts gave a slight nod, one hand touching its mouth as it tilted its head. Brian remained completely still, letting the Ralts come to him, and after a few moments, the small Psychic/Fairy-type approached him and looked up into his eyes. Seeming to like what it was seeing, it gave a nod and held up its arms. The young trainer smiled at this and picked the Ralts up, placing it on his shoulder before turning to his parents. "Looks like I've got a new friend," he said. "Are ye ready to head out, Dad?" Adam nodded, and Allison handed the Ralts' Pokeball to Brian with a smile. "Take care, son," she said. Brian gave her a hug, and he and his father walked out the door and toward Oldale Town.

Skylar finally set off on the next leg of his journey. He felt he wasn’t ready to take on any more of the gyms in Johto. He had to rely on Suicune to finish up the gym. As much as Suicune had the power to push through the gyms. His other Pokémon weren’t. With that he was heading off from the carnival towards Hoenn. That way he could train some more before taking on Johto’s Leaders. Thanks to Gale Storm, the Dragon type was flying along rather quickly. Eventually, they would soon land in Littleroot town trying to be discreet. Though, he didn’t do very well trying to hide a giant dragon. So once they arrive he just returns Gale to her Pokeball after thanking them for the ride.

Brian walked into Littleroot Town just as a shadow fell over the area. He wasn't quite sure what to make of this, until he looked up and saw what looked like a Rayquaza descending. What in the world was a Legendary Pokemon doing here? His question was answered when the Rayquaza was recalled into a Pokeball, and he realized that this Legendary belonged to someone. That being said, he was quite curious as to how a trainer had managed to gain the respect of a Legendary Pokemon, and he approached, Grace on his shoulder, as usual. "Howdy," he called, stopping a short distance away.

Skylar clipped the ball to his belt and tucked it away smiling. “ Alright you two, let’s head out and get right to work.” The Latios looks over and nods as the Buneary chimes in. “ Sounds like a plan. I am looking to get a lot stronger like the others.” Skylar knew his other Pokémon were needing the training so he was going to get the training they deserve.
Eventually when he heard someone calling out to him, he turns and looks over. “Hmm? Hello there. How can I help you?” Skylar asked.

Brian could see a Latios and what looked like a Lopunny, but different. He'd seen Lopunny before, since his mother had one, but he'd never seen one like this. When the guy turned and asked him if he could help, he shook his head. "I was just curious about yer Rayquaza and Latios," he said, giving a friendly smile. Brian listened as Skylar explained how he'd encountered his Latios and Rayquaza. It was interesting to know that Latios had challenged him to a battle, and the other trainer rescuing his Rayquaza sounded similar to how Brian had met Grace. Speaking of Grace, the shiny Ralts was looking at this new trainer with wariness, but also curiosity. Anyone who was able to gain the loyalty of a Legendary Pokemon was alright in her eyes. "My name's Brian," he said. "I agree with the first impressions idea. I actually met Grace, my shiny Ralts, here, when her former trainer abandoned her because she wouldn't listen to him. He actually said he only caught her because she looked different and he thought she was cool. I could tell she didn't like him, so when he released her, I offered her a spot on my team."

"Any who would abandon their Pokemon just because they won't listen don't deserve to be called trainers. I don't think of Pokemon like tools, like so many trainers I've me do. To me, my team is my family, and I care for them just like I would any other human. The funny thing about that whole situation with Grace's former trainer is that Grace is actually the strongest member of my team right now, in terms of level."

Brian blinked a bit at the offer to travel together. Honestly, the thought hadn't really crossed his mind, but now that the offer was in the open, he couldn't resist nodding. "I would be thrilled to travel together," he said, smiling. "Grace is a little wary of other trainers because of how we met, so it'll be a good chance for her to interact with someone besides me. And I've got a few other Pokemon that would benefit from the interaction, as well."
