 "The city where bay and butte are bound."
To the north north west of Kalos, the ocean becomes the main scape for the land again as you come across Coumarine City. Coumarine City is a coastal city, as well as a popular port for all of Kalos' boat and sea fairing needs. It is open and not too crowded, but is a city none the less in the more southern part of the city. The city is actually split into two parts, connected by a monorail that goes back and forth because of the ocean that the city is located near. Moving over the ocean is the residential and business acquainted area of Coumarine where there is still a vast ocean that spans out around the city, but on the other side it is surrounded by rolling hill sides and plentiful trees, miles and miles as far as the eye can see. Coumarine City is more of a resort spot than anything, always attracting vacationers and those looking to just get away from it all with it's plentiful beach space, but it is also home to Kalos' fourth gym so it is a common place for trainers who come through.
{Coumarine City Gym (Click)}Ramos is a gardener who is the official Gym Leader of Coumarine Gym. He specializes in Grass-type Pokémon and gives the Plant Badge to Trainers who defeat him. He is labeled as "The old growth that is still in bloom!" He happily holds that title, because even in his old age he believes he can still do anything he could as a young man. Ramos has always been a lively spirit, and a kind hearted soul that loves to have fun. He has even been gardening for 30 years, and plans to continue to do so. He's won many awards for his abilities as a gardener, and even now opens up his garden for the public to walk through, see, and just relax there. Not only is his Garden beautiful, it's also delicious. Ramos has grown interested in tea making, and has even opened a small tea shop not far from his home where he himself makes tea with his Gym trainers, Brooke and Chaise. Ramos spends most of his time in his gym, tea shop, or garden and happily invites those visiting, whether they are local or even travelers, they are all friends and family to him. Ramos's gym sits high above the main of the city, up on one of it's cliff sides. The only way to reach the gym is by the City's monorail station, which is free to trainers Challenging Ramos, or by flying or teleportation. On the outside, the Gym is a very tall white building and is surrounded completely by beautiful plants and trees. The pathway leads up onto the round, and green double doors, that open up to a very unique and usually unexpected sight. The tall building opens up into one very large room. The building seems to have been built around a very large and old tree that Ramos lovingly built his Gym around, which stands at the center of the building. The Tree's base takes up most of the Gym's floor space, where the Battle field normally would be, instead is a few steps that lead onto a platform just above the ground. Surrounding the tree is various obstacles that wrap around the tree as it raises higher and higher. The obstacles include jumps, rope swings, tight ropes, climbing ropes, and thin ledges. All of which have protective pads and nets for the safety of the trainers, but of course if they fall it sends them down a level. Ramos didn't have these all built onto his tree to test the trainers and their Pokemon, but merely for the sheer fun of it. He didn't build anything onto the tree he couldn't do himself. Once the challenger reaches the top of the obstacles, they will find themselves in an opening where the tree's branches all start to spread out greatly, where the Battle field has been built. Over time, the tree's branches have started to further grow and spread around the field as time passed, making it almost seem natural. The field itself is surprisingly large, and completely flat, but coated in a nice layer of leaves from the tree's foliage above. After battling Ramos, win or lose, The joyful old man shows the challenger the slide that will take them to the bottom. {Prince Floren Briar || Cute Contest Leader (Click)} Floran is one of the more... unique and flamboyant Contest leader. Thomas had already started a pattern, and it was too late to start now. He decided he was going to battle any wild Pokemon he found, and a Chatot was flying through the air just low enough for Seel's Blizzard attack to reach it. The bird fell from the sky in a frozen block of ice. Thomas grinned, the darker side of himself taking over. He released Scizor and Metagross as well, both Steel-Types joining both Water/Ice-Types for their battle-palooza.

Upon contact with the ground, the falling Chatot-cicle shattered. The bird within got unsteadily to it's feet and shook itself off. It rose into the sky, one level stronger than it had been in the first battle, and dived at Seel. Thomas's Seel may have been caught off guard, but the darker Trainer had been paying attention to everything. "Seel, Blizzard that bird back into an icicle!" Seel obeyed, and once more the Chatot fell in a frozen mass. This time, the wild Pokemon remained Frozen, and unless another Trainer or concerned Citizen came along and rushed it to the Pokemon Center, it may remain that way for a couple hours. TL;DR

Seel whipped up a massive Blizzard that swept over everyone and everything in the area, including each wild Wingull. Thomas, and all of Thomas' Pokemon that were out of their Pokeball. Thomas seemed un-phased, the freezing temperatures hit his skin and he ignored it entirely. The birds, however, could not. One of the birds was frozen instantly, and fell to the ground with an audible 'thud'. The others looked weakened to the point of exhaustion. Thomas only laughed. The birds swarmed Seel, pecking and clawing at any exposed flesh they could reach and Thomas was no longer laughing. When the flew back again, Seel was unconscious and Thomas had no choice but to recall it.
Well, seeing how effective it was when Seel had made the move, Thomas decided to send out Lapras to duplicate it. "Blizzard." He ordered, and despite Lapras' surprise at the Trainer's unfriendly tone, obeyed and whipped up a second Blizzard that blew through the City and sent the remaining birds flying off for safety before it could hit them. They had felt it once, and didn't want to experience it a second time. Thomas would have liked to step on their unconscious bodies, but this was acceptable as well. In fact, on second thought he'd rather it be this way. He'd have wasted time, when he should be getting to the Pokemon Center to have his Pokemon healed. Reason returning to him, that's exactly what he did. After the Pokemon Center, it would be time for the Coumarine City Gym.TL;DR

He had only just climbed through a sort of port-hole, when he saw the very first Trainer he would have to face. It was a girl with brown hair, and a Grass-Type monkey would jump down from the foliage of a branch above. "Hi there, I'm Brooke!" She said cheerfully. "Are you here for Ramos? You should battle me, to see if you're ready." Her smile was kind and cheerful, but it faltered when she saw his expression. "Are... are you okay?"
Thomas glared at her, from start to finish. He was here to push past this preppy Bitch and walk all over the Gym Leader - Ramos apparently. "Shut up and fight." She looked hesitantly at Simisage, who nodded and jumped forward. "Dwebble, Fury Cutter." Simisage cut it's path off with some Seed Bombs, but Dwebble was fast and shot around most of the bombs. He finally landed a strike, the point of his arm slashing across Simisage's chest. The monkey stumbled back and glared. "Don't let up, hit it again!"
Simisage knew Seed Bombs wouldn't keep it at a distance, so it scratched with sharp nails at the same time Dwebble sliced at the enemy again. They were cutting each other up, and Simisage realized that it was taking more damage than it was dishing out. It dropped Seed Bombs at their feet to create some distance, using smoke from the bombs to disappear into the branch it had come from. Before it could land though, Dwebble had lunged into the air with surprising strength for a small Pokemon carrying such a heavy stone. It slashed out, this time slashing open Simisage's face. "Oh no!" The girl shouted, returning her Pokemon before it could take any more damage. "Go, Roselia!"
The Pokemon seemed to form from one of the many flowers blooming along the tree's branches, dancing and waving the roses protruding from it's arms. "Dwebble, you know what to do." And so Dwebble dashed along the tree, disappearing over the edge of the branch they were on. Roselia looked over the edge, but Dwebble was gone. "Now!" Dwebble had gone around the tree branch from beneath, and popped back up on the other side. It's point slashed Roselia across the back and the Grass-Type screamed in pain and began to fall all the way back to the ground. Fortunately for Roselia, Brooke managed to return the rose before it could hit the ground.

This time the Pokemon didn't look nearly as fast or agile, it was more like a ball covered in rose-like thorns. "Seel, you've got this." He said, without much emotion or encouragement. Seel looked back to see what was wrong with Thomas, and that's when Ferroseed collided with her. The spikes acted like claws, being manipulated to cling to Seel like those little burrs on jeans. Thomas could see the punctures where the spikes were digging into Seel's body, but he frowned in annoyance when Seel cried out in pain. Seel used another Blizzard, allowing herself to be caught in the middle of it along with the enemy, anything to get it off of her! It dug in deeper though, using the pain from the icy wind to drive itself into new levels of focus. Seel used Blizzard again, and again Ferroseed dug in harder. Only on the third Blizzard did the seed finally release her, now unable to battle as a Referee may have called. Thomas walked over to Seel, actually smiling. "More than I expected from you, here." He used a number of Potions on Seel until the Pokemon was restored to full health again. "Wait here, you're up first against Pryce." When he returned to where the Challenger was meant to stand, he used an item on Dwebble as well. TL;DR

Thomas was already over the lecture. Patience nothing, he was going to hit hard and hit fast just like he always did. He not only sent out the starting Pokemon - Seel - but he also sent out the other Pokemon in his Party as well. He didn't mind showing this Gym Leader exactly what he was dealing with. Using Metagross' arm as a step, he jumped up and perched on top of the super-computer to get a better view of the battle. Jumpluff, faster than Thomas ever would have expected, shot a glowing green ball of energy that hit the slower Seel in the face. "Shake it off!" He ordered, none too kindly. Seel did, and in that moment something strange happened. Ice erupted beneath Seel, pushing him into the air above even the floating Jumpluff. He shot a beam of ice at the ground beneath Jumpluff that, on contact, erupted a dozen massive shards of ice. They stretched up and hit Jumpluff with such devastating force that the Pokemon was encased between them.
Ramos tried to recall his Pokemon, but the ice was too thick and repellent to allow the energy through. Everyone was staring at Seel, who was being lowered back to the arena as the ice cracked up and melted with unnatural quickness. Thomas was stunned, but knew that that sort of power was too much for Seel. It would never be able to do that attack twice in the same battle. Ramos hesitated, but did eventually send out his Sunflora when Thomas yelled; "Waiting on your Pension, Old Man?" Sunflora used Petal Dance, whipping up the leaves still covering the battlefield and sending them at Seel. She couldn't take the onslaught of suddenly razor-sharp leaves, and Thomas recalled her. "Dwebble, you're up." Dwebble moved onto the field, and Sunflora used the same attack. Dwebble had been expecting it though, and dove directly into the oncoming leaves. He shot out the other side, scratched up but still conscious, and used Bug Bite. Sunflora screamed in pain, but used Petal Dance again to separate them. Rather than only separating the two, Dwebble actually fainted and was sent back to Thomas.
Thomas looked over his remaining Pokemon, finally nodding at Scizor. "Your turn, use your speed." Scizor looked at Thomas for a moment, but nodded and walked out - slowly. Sunflora used the same attack, while Scizor used Infestation. The miniature bugs rose up from the tree itself and started biting Sunflora. It was visibly uncomfortable and distracted, but EVEN WITH THIS CONFUSION was able to attack Scizor with Leaf Storm after Leaf Storm. Scizor couldn't react, being buffeted around the field by multiple streams of sharp, flowing leaves. Finally it had had enough, and started slashing out at the leaves as they came. Sunflora, confident that the leaves would distract Scizor while it tried to get rid of the bugs, wasn't paying attention. Scizor hadn't even meant to do it, but one of the Slash Attacks made contact with Sunflora, and the flower was downed. Thomas thought the victory had been a fluke, but would take it. Maybe he'd ask for a one-on-one between Scizor and Sunflora later... probably not, he wanted to get out of this freak-show. Thomas recalled Scizor and looked at Lady. She had sensed the darkness in control of him since she had been let out, but didn't know how to gain entry into his mind without giving herself away and being put back into her Pokeball.
Lady swept onto the battlefield, not even waiting for his little nod that it was her turn. Ramos returned his sunflower and sent out a Victreebel. Poor match-typing on his part, but perhaps he didn't mind being at a disadvantage? Victreebel spat a wad of poisonous material that hit Lady, and she was definitely Poisoned, but the odd thing was, Victreebel seemed to slump a bit, as if poisoned, as well. She used Psychic and lifted the enemy into the air. Even though it struggled against the Psychic, making Lady flinch as though she'd been hit, she lifted it over the edge of the tree. "Drop it." Thomas ordered, but Lady froze. Ramos returned Victreebel knowing what was about to happen and anxious to prevent it. He could tell there was something wrong with this kid. He raised her Pokeball and returned her as well, dropping it into his bag with disgust.
He also returned Metagross, having jumped to the ground, and that left Lapras to face his final Pokemon. She shuffled forward to meet the Gogoat that he sent out. Gogoat sent off a strange-looking seed that exploded on contact with Lapras. She cried out, but whipped up a Blizzard attack to counter. This Blizzard left Gogoat frozen mid-leap as it tried to avoid the attack. It was actually pretty funny, having two of his Pokemon frozen on the field in two separate locations. "Again." He ordered, even though the battle had been won. Lapras used Blizzard a second time, and the two Pokemon were driven even deeper into ice. Thomas crossed the field and grinned. "Hand over the Badge, unless you want it to get even colder in here."

Having been a gym leader for the better part of his life, Ramos could say that he had seen a lot of things in his years, different training styles, techniques, Pokémon, relationships. He'd seen the most naïve trainers who didn't know any better coming to his gym with a water type Pokémon, the most hard headed trainers that insisted their Pokémon were capable of something they weren't ready for, even the most y trainers who swept through with blazing fire types, but something about this particular battle felt off to him. He was quiet as he returned his pokemon to free them of the ice that had taken over his tree, knowing it was going to take some care in thawing out, looking up then to the trainer whom was making such harsh demands. Ramos took another quiet, solemn, look around his gym before barely glancing back to his challenger, shaking his head. "You know son, when a tree falls, it isn't just the tree that suffers, but everything around it as well," he commented quietly, knowing that while the tree fell it brought down other trees with it, other plants, living beings, destroyed anything in its path despite the pain that it itself was going through. "You'll get my badge, but I want you to think long and hard about if you really earned it here today," he mentioned, his tone still gentle and soft, but he seemed sad almost, not exactly willing to call the boy's winning a victory earned. He was harsh, demanding of his Pokémon and lacking in restraint it seemed, what would stop him from hurting everything around him when he made too many demands? "I've seen a lot of things in my years... A lot of battles, a lot of trainers...," he trailed off, not knowing how he needed to end things with this boy, but he felt like he needed to say something. "If you need help son, you come back and see me, okay? Everyone needs something they can count on, even the strongest oak tree," he finished after a moment, handing out his badge before turning slowly and walking off, needing to tend to his tree and his Pokémon in the wake of such cold conditions. Lady would obviously back the failing portion of this double-headed beast that was the Thomas she had known, still now cared for. Scizor had belonged to his Father, who was a cruel and bitter man... perhaps Scizor would prefer the new Thomas, and he wouldn't have to start his team from scratch. Already he was plotting how best to rid himself of Lady. Perhaps, if he could do so without the real Thomas noticing, he could just drop her Pokeball... like, into the Ocean or something.

" They're about as serious as I am... The field is up there." Amma answered causing Ridley to look up and glare at the tree. " I am in a dress and heels...." She complained under her breath. " One of these days you're going to learn to not dress like a harlot." Amma retorted. Ridley rolled her eyes at the ghost and pulled out Pokeballs and let out Jessica and Delphine. " Alright guys. You know the drill, if I have to suffer, so do you." Ridley explained tying her hair back in a high ponytail. " You're joking." Jessica commented staring up at the tree. " Hey, it could be fun!" Del commented causing Jessica to look at her and her eye lit up. " You evolved! I'm so happy Del!" She exclaimed pulling her into a hug. " I know! and now I'm tall like everyone else! Now lets take this course!" Delphine exclaimed happily, though Jessica's enthusiasm dropped. Ridley took a deep breath and took off running, heels and all. She took a running start and leapt on to one of the platforms. Amma floated outside of the course to make sure no one fell and got hurt. Del followed with Jessica behind her. Ridley swung across the ropes,stumbled across the rope bridges, and jumped across the holes in the floors and made it across without falling. Delphine did perfect and had no trouble, but Jessica had to use her psychic abilities to help her get over the jumps and rope swings. Finally they got to the top breathing heavy. Ridley walked out onto the strangely large field that was at the top of the free. It was so bizarre. " Okay, I'm ready to battle and be done." Ridley huffed, returned her Pokemon aside from Amma. A brunette walked up who had been trimming branches. " Oh okay, I'll help you get started." she began forward, and they both got ready on their platforms. The girl sent out a Simisage. Ridley knew Del could blast through these Pokemon, but she wanted to see what her new addition could do, so she pulled out a Pokeball and let out Sirene, only she took on the embodiment of Delphine. " A fire type?" The girl asked at the unoriginality of it. " I guess so." Ridley grinned. The delphox ran her paws over she fur and looked over at the Pokemon as it charged her. She tried to move but the Pokemon was faster and bit down onto her. The orange and red fur shattered off of her and revealed the Sirene, as she grimaced. Brooke's face changed at the Pokemon. " Alright, shake it off and lets turn down the heat Sirene. " She told her as the silver Pokemon Whirled around and flung him off. She held out her finned arms and began to blast ice at him. He tried to blast her with a Seed bomb, but she continued her Blizzard. Brooke returned The monkey, letting out a Roselia. Ridley thought Sirene proved herself and took a bit of a beating so she returned her and let out her Mawile. It looked like the flower tried what it could but once Mawile unleashed the flames it was done. Brooke returned her Pokemon and raised an eyebrow. " You are full of surprises." The girl replied, having never seen a Sirene, and it had been a while since someone brought a Mawile in. Brooke began to trade places with Chaise, to which Ridley took the time to throw a few Potions on Mega Mawile and Sirene. Ridley put a hand on her hip as Chaise began onto the field. " I'll try and make it tough on you." He claimed as he let out his Carnivine. He began with a Feint attack, knocking her back a little. " Alright, turn up the heat." Ridley told her, and she blasted him with fire. Chaise returned his Pokemon, and let out his Ferroseed, and called out to raise it's defense, but Mawile unleashed her fire and it was over. Ridley looked to the old man for a moment, she didn't know how to respond. She hated that course, but this happy go lucky old man was so happy about it, and literally swung in on a vine... " Is that what you would call fun?" Ridley asked him skeptically, her attitude was there, but this was nice for her. She could have cussed him out, but he was just so happy to be there.... He nodded to her. " Yes I do! That's why we put it in!" He told her nicely. Ridley glanced to Amma, who gave her a look that read 'be nice.' So Ridley took a breath. " Well. It was something. One of my Pokemon loved it." She replied and he seemed pleased by this, he was watching so he'd at least know about Delphine. " Now that the 'fun' is out of the way, lets get the battle over with." Ridley told him. He agreed and let out Jumpluff. Sirene would be perfect for this. She let out her Pokemon and she took on the embodiment of Mawile. Ridley was curious on how Sirene decided who she appeared as. However Ramos seemed to take the bait because he sent out a cloud of spores instead of hitting her with a grass type attack. " Alright, lets cool things down a bit!" Ridley called out. Sirene knew exactly what she meant and unleashed a blizzard that blasted across the field and hit the floating Pokemon. He returned the floating grass type. He seemed to thinking and planning, how was he going to take out a fire breathing, blizzard starting, Mawile? That's what he was facing as far as he thought. He sent out a Sunflora, who seemed just as happy to be there was the Gym Leader as she danced in place. Ramos seemed to think about how to take down a Mawile. " Alright, lets see what we can do! Double Edge!" The man called out. The flower charged for Sirene and slammed into her, knocked her over, and back a bit. The illusion was shattered as her gray dress like membrane fluttered around her as she rolled back onto her feet. " Keep the cold coming!" Ridley called out, less then pleased that the illusion was down. However, Ramos smiled. " Ah, tricky tricky, I haven't seen a Sirene in many years! That's smart!" He called out as the sunflora took the attack. Ridley was surprised he knew what it was, when she didn't, but he was an old man so he's probably been around the block. He seemed know what to do and sent a giga drain, which did the trick. Ridley returned Sirene. Mawile was tearing it up, so Ridley let out the real one this time. " Not another Trick is she?" he let out a laugh. " Not as far as I know." Ridley replied. The Sunflora began to spin and dance unleashing petals that began to fly about the air, to do something. " Alright Sweetness,It's gotten to cold again. You know what to do." She told Mawile. Mawile smiled to her opponent as her jaws began to snap. She began to twirl around like the flower did as her jaws began to unleash flames that engulfed the field. After a moment Ramos returned his flower. He let out Victreebel who then screeched. It used it's tail to flip itself forward and slammed into Mawile. She caught herself and began to twirl again. This had the same result, He returned the plant, and let out his last, a Gogoat. Mawile began to twirl, but the goat was not about to have it. Gogoat started to stomp the field causing it to shake violently. Ridley stumbled back and looked to Amma with a worried look, almost fearing the field would fall out of the tree, but Amma shook her head. The ground lurched forward and slammed into Mawile, knocking her a few ways back down the field. Mawile shrieked and tumbled a bit before her two jaws anchored her down, allowing her to get up. She wavered a bit as her jaws snarled. There was no twirling anymore. Her jaws opened as she blasted the field with fire and doused the goat, causing Ramos to return him. Ramos smiled and began across the field as she returned her own Pokemon, before she fainted. " You are a tough whippersnapper. Heaven help the man that ends up with you!" He joked with a laugh, which did earn a grin from Ridley. He wasn't so bad, just annoying. " You're smart and tricky, but that might not work for Clemont. " He advised holding out the rewards. Flying over land made a nice difference in view, because as nice as the ocean was it tended to stretch on and on and on and you eventually found yourself wishing for a change in scenery. They went on for about another hour before Kira just had to land. "Look down there!" She shouted, pointing down towards the ground. It was the sign of a Pokemon Gym sitting outside the building she'd aimed her finger at.
Charizard swooped down upon the Coumarine City Gym's entrance. She returned each and every one of her Pokemon to their Pokeballs. Kira walked into the building and her jaw dropped. Where she'd been expecting nothing special about this place, she couldn't have been further from the truth. The entire building seemed to be built around a humongous tree. On top of that, they'd clearly built a sort of playground into the tree itself.
It wasn't hard to guess what she was supposed to do. She had to climb the tree. That's exactly what she did. She handled each and every obstacle with a determined precision. She eventually came across the Gym Trainers. She brought out Dragonair, who made short work out of both Opponents. One-by-one, the enemy Grass-Types ate Fire Blasts and quicker than most Challengers, she moved on. Ramos would be forewarned of what was coming for him by the glow and heat that flared over and over again in the prior battles. Brooke

She was just beginning to wonder if the Gym Leader wasn't here, hoping she hadn't come this way for nothing. Fortunately she didn't have long to wait after all. A man climbed up the way she'd come from and gave her a warm smile. "Welcome, young lady.You must be here to challenge me. I assume that was you below, setting my quiet little Gym aflame?" She looked momentarily like a chastised little kid and nodded. He didn't seem upset, which surprised her. "That's alright. We have had overenthusiastic Challengers in the past. The situation has been taken care of, and there is no lasting damage."
This man, she observed, was very old. The Elderly have a funny way of appearing ancient to the youthful, but with his tufts of white hair and friendly attitude she couldn't help but take a liking to him. "Yeah, that's right. I'm here for my twenty-fourth Gym Badge." She warned, making it completely clear that she had no intention of losing this battle no matter how nice this old man was. She felt a little bad about using fire-breathers, but it wasn't her fault he'd chosen Grass-Type Pokemon. She would face the same challenges when she came across an Ice-type or Dragon-type Gym. Besides, she didn't feel bad enough to forfeit her challenge and leave the Gym.
Kira sent out Dragonair again. She chose this particular Pokemon for two reasons. The first, Dragonair was at a poit where she was determined to grow that much stronger. The second reason was that those Gym Trainers knew about this dragon. They may have sent ahead a warning to let him know what he was facing. If he knew about Dragonair, then the rest of her team would remain a secret... at least for the moment.
"Ah, yes. I thought you might have a partner like that." He said with a genuine smile. "Very well, let's see what you're made of then." With that, he sent out Jumpluff. Dragonair started the battle with a Fire Blast. Jumpluff rode out the hit and floated over ti it's enemy. A flurry of yellow spores erupted and showered down over Dragonair. now her Pokemon would be slowed, and maybe even unable to move at all.
Kira felt sure that this was not the first time someone had come through here with a fire user. This must have been the strategy they'd employed against who-knew-how-many former Challengers. "That's alright, you can still finish this!" She exclaimed. Dragonair's expression hardened and she blasted the Jumpluff away back to it's trainer's side of the field. "Yes!" She exclaimed, jumping up and down enthusiastically. "That's amazing. Do you want to stay in the battle?"
Dragonair made it clear with a look that she wasn't going to be recalled from her post. Ramos sent out a Sunflora. Dragonair scoffed, anticipating Sunflora to be a pushover. Therefore she was entirely caught off guard when it slammed hard and fast into her snake-like body. Sunflora stumbled back, stunned by it's own impact, only to rush forward and crash into her again. She shook her head to clear it and then waited for Sunflora to rush her again. This time when Sunflora was within two feet of her, she opened her mouth and a massive explosion lit up the entire gym.
Sunflora stumbled out of the cloud of smoke, shook it's head, looked at it's Trainer, and then fell over. Ramos grimaced. He returned his Pokemon and sent out a Victreebel in it's stead. After those repeated Double-Edge attacks, Kira could see that Dragonair was hurt. She had to make the executive decision to return her no matter how determined she was to stay in the fight. Charizard used it's much higher speed and ability to fly to make the first move.
Similar to Dragonair, Charizard opted for Fire Blast. It was their most powerful Fire-Type attack, and they were going to utilize that to their advantage. Victreebel used Slam to try and turn the tides, but it just wasn't enough to slow or stop the oversized Charizard. One more Fire Blast attack later and Victreebel was down for the count. Ramos was forced to return his Pokemon and was now left with only one more. Kira of course did not know this, but she did feel confident that she could not be stopped.
Naturally Ramos was left only with the course of action that was to send his Gogoat out onto the battlefield. The Pokemon was much, much faster than it looked. Charizard shot a Fire Blast at it, but it jumped up the tree's branches like a mountain goat on a cliff and jumped into the air, slamming it's body into Charizard's wing. Charizard came crashing to the battlefield and landed hard on her back. Gogoat charged but was met only with a second fire Blast. TL;DR

He had been involved in training many many Many years and he knew that you win some and you lose some. Losing to a dragon trainer with 23 badges didn't sound bad to him at all. He began to make his way across the field that was once covered in leaves, which all had been burned away. Leaves had already started to fall and spot the floor, beginning the nice layer it once was. However, The fires never seemed to make it to the actual tree itself, and if they did they would almost immediately go out. As if it were being protected, which it probably was by all of the grass, bug, and flying types that lived there. He quietly walked towards the redhead, looking up to Charizard giving her a friendly expression as he lightly pat her chest as he went by. "That's quite a pair of large strong Pokémon for such a petite young girl." He complimented with a smile, even though he had only seen 2 of her Pokémon he was sure her full team were along the same lines. "Even better you know their limits." He told her, as it was clear in the battle having checked on the well being of her Dragonair more then once, rather then pushing the dragons too hard. "I wouldn't expect anything less from someone with 23 badges." He told her with a nod as he reached into his overall pockets. "You very clearly won this battle, even about blew me off of the tree," He joked with a short light hearted laugh. "Though, I don't think you really need this badge, except just for a collection. Maybe you should be aiming for a higher challenge for your Pokémon." He offered her as he offered her the badge. His kind demeanor and friendly tone never left him as he spoke. His Gym regulated team clearly was no match for the young girl's dragon, which made it clear to the old man that she and her Pokémon were much more highly trained and skilled then needing the 4th badge in a region. "I'm sure your Pokémon would give the later league members a real run for their money." With that taken care of, she was just about to leave when a small blue-and-white Pokemon approached her. "Hello cutie. Would you like to come with us?" She asked it, glancing at the series of dragons around her. It was certainly brave. She pulled out a Pokeball and tossed it, but the Pokemon knocked the device away. "Oh. I get it. You want to battle first." It nodded in response. "Alright then." Looking around and sizing up her team, she nodded at Flygon.
Flying forward and then landing right in front of the Electric-Type, Flygon looked down t it and ed her head to the side. Flygon wasn't the largest of Kira's dragons by any means, but even she towered over this mouse. She stomped her foot on the ground and it began to shake. Kira held out a hand and placed it on Charizard to steady herself as the Earthuake attack began. When it was over, the mouse was unconscious and this time Kira's Pokeball did the job. Emiri’s end goal was to end in Laverre Town before getting ready to head up north to the Galar region. She had to admit, she was kind of excited at the prospect going to a whole new region that she had never been to before, and seeing the new Pokemon that might be there too. She hadn’t heard much about the Galar region as a whole, but just looking at the maps that she had for reference. It didn’t look to be particularly big, but went farther north than she had traveled before, so it was bound to be pretty cold going up that way.
Their next stop in the region was Coumarine City, and just like Emiri remembered the coastal city was open and bright and airy, and the wind conditions were really just perfect for flying. The salty sea air was refreshing, and Emiri really did like the open skies of the coast, despite the ocean looming in the distance. She was able to find the Pokemon center with ease since she had already traveled through the Kalos region before, and landed with Charizard to enter into the center. There she met Nurse Joy and gained her next stamp, ready to move on to her next location and onwards. Elfana Aroway Coumarine City might have been pleasant if she hadn't already mentally checked out of her trip around Kalos. The monorail was the only thing that kept her from going straight to the Pokemon Center then leaving. She, of course, went to get her book stamped before she did anything else. After that was out of the way she was free to do whatever she wanted. Elfana's goal was to ride the monorail before leaving the city. Where she ended up didn't particularly matter to her. She was procrastinating her trip through the Lumiose Badlands to the best of her ability. Hours of walking through nothing somehow appealed to her even less than hanging out in the town did. She knew she would have to go through it eventually but that could wait until after she was done with the monorail. Before long she found herself riding the monorail to the other half of the city. The ride was pleasant enough. She was glad to be off her feet for a while. She needed to look into training a Pokemon that she could ride between towns. Maybe something with wings. Flying would make any future trips a lot easier. The fact that she was considering future trips was deeply concerning. This mess was NOT going to happen a second time!Kalos

It was supposedly a dragon type from a Region she had never been to, and she was so excited to get to know both this dragon and her new Lunatone. Now, however, was not the time.
