The woman with the swinging wolf tail, whose batteries she reasoned would die eventually, remained on the edge of the room as the night progressed, making her way around the outside of the party as if looking for something. Sure, she knew for certain she couldn't trust the thief boy- and wanted to be nowhere near Hanako and her mundane prince of a boy toy, but this was a PARTY! And one she had suffered a lot to get to at that. Now that she was just beginning to feel something close to normal for the first time all day, the woman saw little reason not to explore and look for someone who might just be entertaining enough to keep her interest. As sanity began to return, however, so then did common sense, and with it, Llorona was able to discern that something wasn't quite right with how some of the other patrons were looking at her. Truthfully it wouldn't have bothered the black and blue haired woman except that it seemed to be mostly those who clearly came from money that were scoffing and providing dirty looks when she passed. The bulk of those she assumed were from less advantageous families didn't seem to mind her when she passed, and a few of them even waved. "What is their collective problem?" She muttered, ignoring the soft pass of the hooded Litten that seemed quite intent on rubbing against her ankles for whatever reason. "Just give up Rhea, she isn't gonna get it - Which you should be grateful for. Do you really want to put up with that again?" Sunset offered to the feline who had been trying in vain to let her pseudo trainer know she was without footwear. By the time they had walked the course of the outer ballroom floor and returned to their original spot by the pillar - Rhea had given up on her original task. Why bother when the horse was right? She was 'almost' happy. Or as close to it as she was gonna get. Best to let her enjoy herself for the night. To this end, the little fire-starter had taken to playing with the swaying mechanical tail Llorona wore, pouncing repeatedly and remaining awkwardly posed on two legs while continuing to bap the fur. "Oh no." The sheer fear in sunset's tone caused Rhea to momentarily go rigid on her hind legs, the swinging tail knocking her awkwardly onto her back while she continued to stare at what was clearly about to be the source of a huge problem. "Hm? What do you want now?" Llorona swung her head in Hanako's direction sarcastically, as if she hadn't been watching her approach the entire time. She almost considered mocking the little knight right away or asking where her traitorous Rowlet had run off to. Then her green hues fell onto the simple footwear that Hanako had set down. In a few fractions of a second everything that had occurred from the moment she'd walked into the ballroom made way too much sense. Llorona could see Hanako's lips moving but didn't hear her. Instead, her bare toes wiggled against the floor in confirmation and she felt the blood rush back to her head all at once. "Oh my god." Surprisingly, Llorona wanted two things at the same time on opposite ends of the spectrum while she watched the other female walk away. She wanted to hit that smug looking witch with the Cyan hair right in the nose. It would have been so easy to do, Llorona was fit and more than capable of catching up to the smaller girl. But it was in knowing that no matter how much she wanted to believe the other woman had brought her shoes to spite her - somewhere in the back of her infinitely thick skull Llorona knew that Hanako was a benefactor, and even if she hadn't been - attacking another patron would only make her look so much worse than she already did. Thus the second thing she had wanted to do won, hands down.

"Do you think the green tree girl did that on purpose?" Sunset asked the small cat dd along his neck like a scarf. Rhea only mewled sadly from her spot on the back of the flaming horse. All the warm, cozy flames in the world didn't help when you had to watch a human cry. Cyren had left her to watch Lllorona and keep her safe... He should have known it was too big a job for any, one cat to do! The human was a hand full and then some! Still, They approached Llorona and the stunning fountain she sat along with caution, expecting fully for her to begin screaming at sunset for tossing her boots out - She had turned and shot daggers into him when she noticed that he was no longer carrying them. But the yelling hadn't started then just as it didn't now. Instead, there was only the occasional mutter while the human's shoulders bobbed occasionally. "This is definitely more of a cat job. Go rub on her or someth-" "Me?! You are the only who threw her boots out! You go 'rub on her' or something!" Rhea snapped back as she seemed to consider asking one of the water Pokemon she'd just noticed sitting in the fountain to spray Sunset for being so infuriating. The pair of fire Pokemon went silent after that until, reluctantly Rhea hopped down from sunset and skulked her way over, nuzzling Llorona' ankle. Sure, if anyone else was to blame for this ordeal as much as Llorona herself, it was sunset but unfortunately, Ponyta wasn't as cute or cuddly as she was. "It's okay~ They were just shoes, you can get some more!" Rhea meowed up in a positive manner knowing full and well Llorona had absolutely no idea what she was saying! At first, the tiny kitten winced when Llorona seemed to have begun crying harder. After a few moments, however, the human sniffled, clearing her throat and wiping some of the tears from her cheeks and reaching down to pet the litten. "I just looked like a complete bitch in there, huh?" She asked through a bit of a stuffy nose, sunset joining them and nuzzling Llorona's neck. Rhea quite literally bit her tongue, wanting to comment on the fact that yes, breaking down into a sobbing mess in the middle of a party before you ran away did sort of indicate something along those lines. But the human had, had a bad day! "At least it can't get any worse....Right?"

The woman in the wolf costume drew exactly one breath of fresh air after she had managed to quell her tears before the ground began to shake and tremble. "Unown?" Even if it was wrong - the fact that Llorona had managed anything other than a slew of curses was impressive. Any supernatural event that occurred directly after what happened with Kintaro could probably be explained by Unown. Unfortunately, the more she watched the maze before her shift and grow into something else entirely, the more apparent it became that the lack of floating alphabet soup meant this was neither another Unown attack nor was it a planned festivity by the rich castle owners... Unless they were okay with having their property completely destroyed by a talking Venasaur? It looked like a Venasaur to Llorona. "Nope! Thanks, I've had enough for one day!" The wolf woman was already on her feet and running with Ponyta in tow and Rhea in her arms when she became the deliberate target of a vine whip. Contrary to her prior behavior, Llorona did not whimper or scream when she was struck, falling forward onto her hands and knees so as not to crush the litten she had been forced to drop. The woman did, however, begin cursing like a sailor who'd just found out they weren't leaving port any time soon. Llorona felt her belt being torn away, and with it, all of her Pokeballs. This, along with having the Pony next to her scooped up high into the air didn't exactly help her chances of fighting back - but didn't make her any less angry about being called out by such an ugly creature either. "Why don't you come down here and say that to my face!" She snapped, jumping to her feet and watching one of the balls along her belt break away and tumble back towards her. "Better yet, I'll do YOU a favor and save you the calories - clearly, those are important to you." If nothing else, her fat jokes had not yet deserted her, the woman's fingers closing around the capsule containing the last remaining Pokemon she owned. Against the obvious fact that she was going to be about as useful as any of the others being dragged off or swatted away, Llorona prepared take her entire day's worth of rage out on this thing - to throw the Pokeball before it's emblem hit the light of the palace behind her and brought the woman to a screeching halt... one almost as debilitating as the massive wave of stun spore that followed and caused the wolf woman to fall against the side of the fountain and go completely still with the ball in her hand.

(Welp! I owe someone some money, I was betting on Rooker in the Deadpool but clearly he still alive- also I am sorry my post is both bloated and aimless. it's super hot here and it's been a while since I've posted. I get rusty quickly.)

Llorona, making it a point to be herself in any situation, decided as they walked down the path into the maze that she was going to do her very best to ensure that the woman with Cyan hair found her to be as ungrateful as possible regarding the footwear she had been given. Sure, it wasn't at all uncomfortable, and even if it had been the sandals were still infinitely better than walking amongst the debris of the maze entrance. In fact, her only actual concern about the gift she had been given was that it really stood out a fair bit from the outfit she had on currently. With this in mind, Llorona still purposefully stumbled behind Hanako and most of the group of Pokemon that had decided to aid the pair, occasionally stopping to lift her heel and pick at the soles of the things and mutter incoherently beneath her breath. The dark-haired woman had absolutely no inclination to let Hanako think anything regarding the gift she had been given aside from what Llorona wanted her to think - which was that she hated the sandals. Aside from getting that point across as best, she could, feigning discomfort actually worked to her advantage two-fold. With Llorona in the back, whatever creatures that resided in this place like the massive Golurk or Vensaur they had seen would surely have to go through the mess of Pokemon, as well as the little knight before they got to her - meaning she'd have time to either pick her fights more wisely or turn tail completely. "Yeah, tree trunk." Llorona called, actually stumbling over a piece of rubble and wincing before she caught herself. At first, the black-haired woman with blue streaks had absolutely no intention of explaining her words to Hanako, why should she? As soon as Llorona's green eyes caught what she knew was the knight inspecting her stomach, Llorona heaved a theatrical sigh however and rolled her eyes. Even she was above standard fat jokes at this point. "You've got hair the color of certain exotic leaves and dark skin, that's about as close to the living embodiment of a tree as artistic opinion can really get." She shrugged, continuing on but keeping her eyes peeled - just in case. As they drew to the first open chamber of what Llorona would later reflect upon as a 'challenge room', She convinced herself that it wasn't a cowardly mindset that had allowed her to selfishly stick to the back of the group. It was simply a good strategy for survival, right? "This is one hell of a renovation." She mused, Casting her eyes over the strange place in which they found themselves. Llorona Braithwaite, truthfully, had no idea what the actual hedge maze had looked like prior to whatever hex the Venasaur and its goons had put upon the place, but it was a pretty safe bet that she had been correct in her quip, because there was absolutely no way that this had been anything near what it was beforehand. Unlike her stalky 'companion', Llorona refused to believe after seeing Harley and the Pikachu run down paths only to return in confusion, that they were trapped here by some magical force. That would be stupid. Besides, even if Harley did seem to be quite capable - most psychic types were at least relatively intelligent, both of the attempted escapees were still just Pokemon. With a snort, she gave little more attention to the actual room they were in, dismissing Hanako's attempts to ask seemingly endless favors of the army of Pokemon surrounding her and walking down the nearest path, her fingers still playing on the remaining ball she had left. In spite of their situation, very few people truly understood the depths of Llorona's ego. And that was really saying something given what she'd already demonstrated to both Hanako and Kintaro thus far. She was still pondering the idea of dying before utilizing the creature contained inside of it, even though as far as she was aware he would still do exactly what she needed him to if the situation arose. Llorona blinked a few times in surprise, still stuck in her seemingly endless conundrum regarding her father's prized Pokemon until she found herself facing Hanako and the slowly dispersing crowd of creatures, each setting about the task they had been given. The woman had been positive she hadn't turned around at all. Even though she'd been preoccupied, Llorona knew she hadn't made any particularly loopy turns in her attempt, so why was she back here? Furrowing her brow, the Woman looked up at the entrance she stood inside of, noting that it was exactly the same one she'd taken on the way out. That should have been impossible given the direction she was walking. "Seriously.. Magic hedge maze?" She remarked skeptically, stepping back into the room. Perhaps... Just maybe she should actually take a look around. No sooner had the woman begun to do just that than she found herself interrupted by Hanako who, Had Llorona had any fiery retorts left to give, certainly would have used one now. "For a girl whose facade is built on shyness and nobility, you sure know how to piss people off." Llorona frowned, not entirely able to refrain from snarking at Hanako's own choice of words. Still, she approached cautiously behind the woman, falling into step until they reached the sirene. At first, The taller woman was more than content to let Hanako stumble through yet another conversation - it was actually beginning to amuse her the way Hanako talked to Pokemon as if they were people sometimes. Suddenly, however, she caught the look on the other girl's face when she spotted the Zweilous statue and the expression Hanako adopted shortly after, to say nothing of the tears welling in her eyes. What? Was she afraid of Zweilous now? In the end, it didn't actually matter why the response coated Hanako's features because, as much of a complete bitch as she may have seemed, there were certain things even Llorona could relate to - and she had seen that look before in someone she'd rather not have. Almost immediately Llorona stepped up and slapped Hanako on the back - sure the woman had managed to pull herself together and finish the request, but a little extra snap back to reality never hurt anyone... Besides, a friendly slap was about as close to physical violence as Llorona suspected she would get while they were working together. "What my tiny, tree colored friend here means is - can you please point us to wherever the giant, ugly Vensaur took all of our stuff? We sort of worked pretty hard to collect those Pokemon and I for one, would really rather not lose anything else today." Llorona shot Hanako a very strange, mixed look to punctuate her statement, though whether the expression was expressly to accuse her of being the reason her Rowlet had turned coat, or from some knowledge she couldn't possibly possess over the intricacy Hanako's missing Deino was anyone's guess.

"I didn't see anyone else doing ANYTHING." Sunset snapped back, trying in vain to shake the sticky substance off of his body. Sure, the flames he had still flickered over his body, but if anything that just made the sap more uncomfortable as it bubbled and remained in a semi-viscous state. He hated losing, and more importantly, that he didn't know what kind of trouble his trainer might be in. He was a budding warrior - that meant he was supposed to protect her! The horse continued to walk along with the cell back and forth in annoyed paces while he turned the situation over in his head, occasionally casting looks to the others in an attempt to form some kind of plan for getting them out. Around this time, Kiseki had managed to finally clear away the stun spore, no thanks to anyone else in the cell, much to his dismay. Pui was still... well, a nervous wreck, but it was apparent the damp skin the Pokemon possessed eventually managed to clear itself of the paralyzing spores and so now she only stood in the corner, frantically looking about for any signs that they had a solution. "Sorry about that... I just don't like it here." The horse confessed to the cell packed with other pokemon. In the moment it had seemed like a good idea, but looking back - even if it worked, the cell could very well have caught fire, which wasn't exactly a good thing for the less flame-resistant ones. "Thank you." Pebbles stated calmly, turning around to face spade and giving an earthy shake of her body. As always, pebbles was calm herself and studying their surroundings keenly. Rock Pokemon were not exactly known for their intellect, but given that no one else had figured anything out yet, Pebbles wagered it wasn't a lost cause not to give it a shot. As the short, Rock pressed itself to the vine-covered binding of their cell, She noticed the same phantump the others had pointed out and the key it held, frowning as best one with no mouth could before sighing. Zinnia was already reacting without thinking so the rock Pokemon hadn't the time to interject. Instead - Pebbles leaned against the bars and prepared herself for a rock blast should the little frog succeed. It was happening whether she liked it or not - so the best she could do was follow up in case the ghost actually DID manage to lose it's key and decide to attack them. Best to put the phantump down quickly in the off chance Zinnia was better with his tongue than Pebbles expected. "Aim true." She muttered hopefully.

The taller of the two women cringed when she briefly saw the look on Hanako's face. The shorter woman looked like she'd been slugged, or maybe even stabbed before she turned away. Normally those expressions were the type Llorona relished in people she had set out to scorn. But this, this was completely different. It had backfired and she knew that all too well. The younger of the two Braithwaites was not used to being so quiet. Anywhere she went she had longed for attention. But now she felt so small and couldn't seem to shake it at all. Llorona shuffled uncomfortably, waiting while Hanako seemed to be - hopefully contemplating whatever clue she had gleaned earlier instead of trying to process what had just been said to her. The black and blue-haired girl cringed yet again when Hanako did speak up, rubbing her arm softly and offering a shrug. She had wanted to say something but quite frankly at this point it was obvious there was nothing that could be said to help the situation. So she merely continued to stand, her head drifting off a bit and causing her all too perfect hair to cascade down the side of her face when Hanako spoke yet again. "I..." Again. Of course, words had failed her again. With the only spot of optimism she could find, Llorona considered the fact that maybe Hanako wasn't even as bothered by the comment as she thought? Her tone sounded alright and given Llorona's imagination it was possible she had wanted to see such an expression! This notion lasted about five seconds until Hanako turned to face the crowd of Pokemon she was still somehow trying to lead through this ridiculous situation. She had so many tears running down her face now. Like a child who had lost their parents at a fair... Or a pokemon aquarium. Had she the ability to shrink, Llorona would have collapsed in on herself. There was nothing she would have wanted more earlier in the day than to see this cyan haired woman break down into a sobbing mess. But now it brought absolutely zero joy to her. Somehow, the affection showed by the group of Pokemon in regards to the other woman still left Llorona confused. They didn't speak english, and while crying was a universal signal of distress - seeing what she considered an alien species display the same reactions a human would, always baffled her. Llorona had seen Pokemon, many, many times. But none of the ones at her home had ever treated her that way. 'Except him.' Her own reflective tone caused the woman to jump a bit and then smooth out her skirt nervously with her free hand, the ball contained in the other feeling just a touch heavier than it had before. 'He was there for you. Instead of where he was supposed to be. And someone died because of it.' Shaking her head viciously until her hair whipped around, Llorona forced an automatic nod despite the fact that Hanako had in no way been speaking to her. There was an entirely real chance she looked drunk attempting such a series of actions in short order but the woman didn't notice. She needed to get her Pokemon and get the hell out of here. No matter how badly she felt there was no coming back from what had been said - every action had a consequence. "I'm sorry." She found herself whispering once Hanako had already clearly dropped out of earshot. It had been compulsive this time, her lips and vocal cords moving on their own. That was fine. The second apology wasn't for Hanako anyway. It happened to be for someone who wouldn't have heard her if she screamed it from the highest mountain with an army of exploud amplifying her voice to cataclysmic levels.
