Hana frowned when her Pikachu was hit by Vivillon's Psybeam. That hadn't look pleasant at all. Her first instinct was to ask him if he was okay, though her attempt was silenced long before she could actually voice it by him glaring at her and growling in irritation. She was wasting time they could have been using to attack. He rolled his eyes, electricity dancing along his form for a few seconds as he prepared his attack and unleashed it upon Vivillon, the electric ball colliding with the butterfly with the same amount of force it had the poor Ledyba he had fought earlier. The sooner he got this over with, the better. He had no intention of holding back. Hana, however, was upset by her Pikachu's behavior. There was no need for him to be so rough with Vivillon! "S-sorry!" She did her best to call out, struggling to raise her voice enough to do so. Zinnia patted her cheek lightly and frowned. The goal had been to try to get Hana to have fun. Sage had ruined that in record time with his attitude. "D-do you think Vivillon will be okay? W-we'll have to apologize after." She looked down at her Froakie, trying her best not to look as distressed as she was. Maybe talking to him would help with his mood. There had to be something she could do to calm him down some. There was always the possibility that he was still getting used to her as well. She should have expected some moodiness from at least one of her Pokemon. Elfy  Leader ViolaViola watched as the attack landed, she knew she'd need to take out the Pikachu as quickly as possible if she had any hope of defeating him. The Pikachu took the hit, which it would seem she might have done her job and trained him, seeing how well the Pikachu sustained the hit. She didn't just catch the Pokemon to come and challenge her. That was a very good thing Viola believed, but not for the her chances in battle. The Pikachu looked visibly annoyed as electricity sparked around the Pikachu. The electric mouse sprung for an attack, and quickly struck the Butterfly. There was no time to react, all Viola could do was take a few action packed shots and then wince at the strike. Vivillon fell backwards and flat on the ground. The Gym Leader heard the young woman speak quietly for the first time, and could barely hear her from across the field. She called out for being sorry. Viola shook her head and smiled. "Don't be sorry. Like I said before, it might seem mean, but it's a part of battling. She's trained for this." Viola called out to her, trying to make sure the young woman wasn't too upset. Now she turned her attention to her Pokemon. "Vivillon, are you alright to battle?" she asked, and the butterfly struggled to get up, just like the ending of the battle with the male. She looked back and nodded. "Alright, well, lets calm things down again. Use Sleep Powder" Viola called out, knowing it was her only hope of winning.[Vivillon used Sleep Powder!] [Sleep Powder failed!] [You can have it fail any way you like. Hana surprised herself. When Viola called for Sleep Powder she expected to panic. If Sage fell asleep that meant Baloth would have to be sent out next. Instead of panicking however she managed to call for an attack from her Pikachu. "Sage, Quick Attack!" This threw the irritable Pokemon off. He hadn't been expecting his trainer to manage to do her one job at all, let alone call for something reasonable from him. Vivillon had just started to attack when he got himself together. He lunged right through the powder and tackled the butterfly, though this time he much less aggressive about his attack. Sage backed away from Vivillon, shaking himself until the majority of the powder fell away from him before wandering back towards his trainer. He assumed the battle was over. Hana was going to return him soon and he would be able to rest- or so he thought. As soon as he was close enough Hanako picked him up and hugged him to herself. "Good boy~! You did great, sweetie~!" She probably should have waited for the battle to officially be declared over but she much too excited to wait to hug her Pikachu. Sage could only sigh, choosing not to try to shock her this time. Elfy rooker Leader ViolaViola watched closely as the dust began to fill the air, but it didn't last long. Before Vivillon could fully react or coat the opposing Pokemon, he jumped through the powder and tackled the butterfly. The blonde Gym Leader knew Vivillon was already so tired, and exhausted from the battle, and that would do her in. Viola returned her final Pokemon, and tucked away the Pokeball. Viola began to walk across the field, walking a wide circle around the powdero still laying on the field. She smiled to the young woman as she got close. "You battled really well, especially if you're new to training." Viola complimented with a friendly tone. She saw her Pikachu, and Deino, as well as the Froakie she left out after his battle. She had praised her Pokemon during and after the battle, which was sweet Viola though. "It really shows that you are for your Pokemon, but it might be helpful if you worked with your Pokemon a little more, just so they know what to do in battleif you're not able to call out in time." Viola gingerly advised with the same tone. She didn't want to discourage her, but the her Pokemon had paused a few times, allowing her to get the jump on them. "But you did really well, and definitely earned this." Viola told her, pulling out her badge. She held them out for the cyan haired trainer to collect. If she did or didn't, suddenly Viola's face lit up as she remembered. "Oh!" She spoke excitedly as she grabbed for her camera, switching the setting to view as she moved closer to the petite challenger. "Your Pokemon took so many good photos. You are more then welcome to look through them all, and we can print out, or put on a disk any photos you'd like to keep." Viola told her, holding out the camera so she can see the many many pictures Viola had taken.Hanako has received: Bug Badge TM 83 Infestation +21 Split amongst Zinna, Vervain, and Sage Bonus:+5 exp to each party Pokemon x1 TM of your choice

Hana froze up the moment Viola approached her. Now that the battle was over she wasn't entirely sure what she was supposed to do. Social situations weren't exactly her forte. Fortunately for her, Zinnia responded for her, climbing down her arm from his favorite spot on her shoulder just long enough to take the badge from Viola before returning to his original position. Since he had no idea what to do with the badge, he gently pressed it against Hana's cheek to get her attention and let out a cheerful little sound. "O-oh! S-sorry!" The timid young woman squeaked and blushed when she realized how silly she must have looked staring at Viola like a Deerling in the headlights. If she could make it through the battle, she could make it through a basic conversation. Besides, Kintaro was likely still somewhere near the stands, if not still in them. As long as he was there she was safe. There was nothing to be afraid of! Speaking of Kintaro..."Th-this might be a w-weird request b-but u-um...." She trailed off, almost losing her voice again until Zinnia patted her head. Right! She was trying to say something! Hana took as deep a breath as she could manage without hurting herself and exhaled before continuing. "I-I know Taro is r-really, really serious about th-things b-but would it be o-okay if s-some of his pictures w-were printed out too? H-he might not think so right now b-but I th-think they might be n-nice for him to look b-back on someday." Getting that simple request out had been a struggle but Hanako couldn't help but smile after she had done it. She was proud of herself. Even though she stuttered more than usual she still managed to talk to someone other than Taro! As soon as she got the pictures from Viola she planned to go look for him. Elfy rooker Leader ViolaViola watched as the young woman seemed to freeze in front of her. She wasn't exactly sure what she was suppose to do, not watching to worry her further, so Viola waited patently. She had battled fairly well, especially for her first gym battle. To which Viola was proud of the petite trainer, but she was surprised. Usually only Pokemaniacs and hardcore League fans froze up, or acted in a way that made her uncomfortable. But Viola knew that the trainer wasn't either type of those people. She had seen the care and affection she gave her Pokemon. Soon thought, her froakie jumped down and hoped into her hand and returned back to her shoulder, and pressed the badge to her cheek. Viola couldn't help but let out a light laugh. It was such a sweet and innocent gesture, she could tell the froakie was helping the trainer. She soon apologized, which the blonde shook her head. "Don't be sorry, it was sweet, and gosh darn cute!" she spoke again with a wide smile. She listened at to her as she explained her 'weird' request. Viola knew she had quite a few good shots of her Pokemon in battle. But his battle lasted longer as well as she got to see more of his Pokemon, and after she peeked in the back room she knew there were some great pictures. "That's not a weird request at all. I would be happy to print some of his out too." she told her, "I was hoping I'd get to print at least some of them out for him or you. Like yours, his Pokemon were so photogenic, and I got some great action shots." She told her, returning her smile with a friendly one. Viola was more then happy to give her pictures from both battles. It made her happy, knowing that she created something beautiful, a memento of their battle. "Once you select all of the ones you like, I'll take it back and print them out. I'm sure I have have them ready for you in the gallery before you leave." She told her, letting her take the camera and pick as many as she wanted. After she did, Viola would leave back through the hidden door she came to make sure she could have them printed up in the gallery in time.

Kintaro Satoshi The battle went on and Hana made some mistakes, but she also made some significant decisions. All in all, Kintaro had to admit, she had done better than he did. Zinnia was her most significant mistake, and Vervain only failed because Vivillon had access to a move that appealed to him. He did at least credit the mole for trying to resist, but he didn't believe for a moment Vervain was upset to take a nap. But, Vivillon was defeated, and only Zinnia had actually fainted. Vervain was resting...again. Even knowing the Drillbur had put his two bits in, Kintaro had to confess he was irritated with the lazy caretaker. He couldn't do what he wanted and take care of his trainer. He would need taught better habits. He stood when Hanako finished her battle and moved to meet her downstairs at the lobby like before. He frowned thoughtfully as he considered his options and what he felt he needed to do to help her in the future. He glanced around the observation area, expression falling again. Where was that attendant who helped Hana before? He never needed the young man's help, but he should have been present. He scowled and scratched his chin as he descended the stairs in a slow, patient gait. Something was off. He didn't know what it was but there was no denying the air was foul. Kintaro Satoshi It should have been a quick trip to find his young friend. It should have been easy to meet her at the lobby. But Mena shouldn't have been fluttering up to her trainer with fresh injuries. "M-Master...! It's Mary! We went into the Forest!" Cried the Butterfree as she fluttered toward her trainer weakly. "We were ambushed by some thief! It tried to take us, but I got away!" Kintaro caught his Butterfree as he processed the information she just gave him. Mena let out a pitiful whine and avoided making eye contact as if she had done something wrong. "Calm down, Mena. Breathe. You're OK. And we're going to find Mary." He informed the Bug Pokemon. He carried her for now, urging her to try and generate a link with Mary so they could go and get her back. Hanako would be fine without him. He had a Luxio to save from some would-be Pokemon Poacher. He moved with purpose, the slow deliberate gait moving more quickly and spanning the corridor in just a few seconds. As soon as the Infernape was taken down the Team Flare member grabbed Hana. Battling hadn't worked so it was time for Plan B. He was still bigger and stronger than she was. Zinnia bit down on his hand and hopped up on to Hana's shoulder, using Bubble right in the male's face. "I said I was gonna break those ugly glasses and I meant it! Let my squishy trainer go!" Unfortunately the weakened Froakie stood about as much of a chance against him as Hana did. While he did manage to knock the glasses off of his face there was very little he could do to prevent himself from being swatted off of Hana's shoulder. The Froakie was knocked out the moment he hit the ground. "You leave my babies alone!" Hana yelled as loud as she could manage. Her lungs felt like they were going to collapse at any moment but she needed someone to hear her. She couldn't fight him off on her own! She shoved the Team Flare member away from herself and slapped him. If he was going to hit her Pokemon then she was going to hit him in return! Hanako found herself on the ground with Zinnia a few seconds later when she was punched. She had expected some form of retaliation but she hadn't expected him to try to knock her out. "I should have done that from the beginning. Grab the Deino and let's go. I'll get the Froakie" The male snapped at his injured Infernape as Hanako struggled to get on to her hands and knees. Her head had hit the ground much harder than she was sure was good for it and it had left her dazed. She had to get up though! This person was about to steal her Pokemon! As much as she tried to fight it, her body was having none of it. Hanako passed out.

The trip to the Pokemon Center was surprisingly uneventful given the state she was in. Normally a person wandering around in such a terrible state would attract some attention. Anyone who did consider trying to help her was glared at by the Gardevoir until they decided against it. She turned her Pokemon over to the Nurse, refusing to allow her own wounds to be taken care of. She didn't want to deal with anything that wasn't her Pokemon or the Gardevoir that had helped them. The Pokemon wanted as much to do with the Nurse as Hana did. It ignored her attempts to make sure it was okay, guiding Hanako to a seat far away from everyone else so she could rest. The poor thing looked like she was ready to break at any moment. Gardevoir sat down next to Hana, picking at the trainer's bag until she handed it over to it. It had no idea how to take care of her wounds but it could try to clean them up for her.Trainer Encounter: 9/25

He made his way to the Pokémon Center, stopping short as he looked back to Attica who froze instantly. His frown was impossible to ignore. He was upset, she was concerned she had somehow messed up. “You’re afraid of me, aren’t you?” He questioned his Pawniard. Attica struggled to sign out a refusal of the claim. He did intimidate her, but that was something she admired as a pack Pokémon. The leader had to be frightening or they’d be seen as weak! She managed to relay that she found his strong, imposing presence comforting even though she clearly was more careful with his temperament than anyone else’s. The male frowned and shook his head, picking up Mary’s Pokeball from his belt and frowning at it. “I’m not a good trainer.” He stated as a matter of fact. Attica again tried to protest this disparaging claim but she was ignored. Mary came out from her ball and winced as she tested one leg that showed to be bruised pretty badly. Kintaro Satoshi Mary was shocked to find herself scooped up into her trainer's arms after a pitiful mewl left her mouth. Kintaro held her close to him and he simply remained this way for a short while. Mary began to squirm as the position became uncomfortable quickly after the battering she had taken. While he didn't set her down, Kintaro did loosen his hold and free her from his hug. "It is natural for your species to know how to sense electricity. That is why I got upset. That is why I was so cruel to you." He took a deep breath and rested his hand on Mary's head. "That is why I should not keep you. I made an expectant command of you, and I treated you harshly for not knowing what I was talking about." Mary let out a strangled cry, tears filling her eyes. She pleaded with him in grunts and growls not to send her away just for being stupid. Attica watched from a short distance. Attica was confused, Attica was upset, Attica felt just a little betrayed. Still, she knew Kintaro was being unreasonable again. It was up to her to straighten him out. Regardless of how much he scared her. "OW! Attica! Do you really have to do this right now!?" The Pawniard jabbed Kintaro in the leg and glared at him until he stopped shouting at her. She stood her ground and quickly signed simple messages so he didn't have to consider what was being said. Maybe she did want the man all to herself, but that didn't mean anything if he was upset for getting rid of something he cared about. She explained that Mary's distress was because of his desire to free her. He wasn't thinking his decision through. Sure, his Luxio was miserable. He hadn't done anything to fix that yet, and he was trying to give it up and run away from the responsibility. His Pawniard gave him another jab and Kintaro yelped once again. She commented on how only a weak trainer would give up so easily when all he had done was upset her. Mary looked up at Kintaro with shimmering eyes, full of hope and admiration for the human she had first met. Hoping against hope to be allowed to stay with him longer still.
Kintaro scowled, feeling annoyed with Attica for calling him weak but not contesting the claim. He sighed heavily and pet Mary's head, earning instant gratitude and purring from the Luxio. Kintaro looked to his Pawniard as a weak smile parted his lips. "You're right. I really am trash disguised as a trainer." He stated solemnly before moving to stand up straight again. "I can't keep failing like this. Ms. Ruka is counting on me to become a strong trainer." He nodded and clicked for Attica to lead him back to the Pokemon Center. There Kintaro set his team in for recovery and sat down near the front door. He hadn't seen Hanako since he won his Gym battle, and now he was wondering about her safety. Mary had been remiss to follow the nurse, but finally allowed it when he insisted he would remain there for her to come back to. His apology hadn't been much of one, but he was hoping to better repair the damage to their relationship by training her to do what he wanted her to know. Now he just had to meet back up with Hana and they could get back on the road! Or, he would meet with her...if she wasn't already there. "Ms. Lucali?" Kintaro was alone at the moment, his Team being cleansed and healed by the Nurse and her Team. He could tell she was hurt but he had no idea just how much hurt the poor girl was in now! Kintaro Satoshi Nurse Joy had come out to inform Kintaro his team was all healed and Gandor was finished with his treatment, but she stopped when she noticed the male standing over a crying young woman. He hadn't noticed the nurse as he digested what Hanako was telling him. On the one hand, he couldn't help feeling a little relieved. Baloth was dangerous. Hana needed to lose him, in his opinion, so that she wouldn't get herself hurt by that little monster. But this? This was not what he'd had in mind. This was not an acceptable way for her to lose her Deino. And that meant someone out there had been rewarded for a bad behavior. A shiny Deino. Regardless of his foul behavior, the thief would no doubt be able to find someone who would reward him handsomely for catching it. He couldn't let that go. He let out a heavy sigh, like a father about to tell his daughter that her missing pet was for the best. He rested his hand gently on Hana's head. "That is unacceptable." He told her finally in a mellow, cool tone. Everything in his demeanor would feel like he was upset with her except for that pat on the head. "Attica. We have a criminal to find." He knelt down to Hana's level and tried to get his face into her field of view. "Ms. Lucali? Ms. Lucali, I need you to look at me. What do you remember?" He asked her, that same cool tone as before even though he was clearly fired up. "If there's anything, anything at all, that you can think of please tell me. We need to find Baloth's abductor." He urged the young lady, both hands now on her shoulders trying to offer some semblance of reassurance. He could only do so much for a young lady who'd had her pet stolen from her but he was at least going to help her get him back...regardless of how he felt about the beast. He turned suddenly, realizing Nurse Joy was near. "They are ready?" Joy nodded slowly. "Thank you very much for your service." Kintaro bowed low, his arms at his sides like a good gentleman. "Is Ma--is my Luxio going to be alright?" Joy nodded again. "She's going to be fine. The person that attacked her wasn't trying to harm her. They just didn't seem to understand she was already registered." Kintaro only nodded with a slight, uncomfortable smile. "Thank you. For everything. Your presence makes life easier for everyone." He bowed again, then accepted his team's Pokeballs from her. Attica had jogged up to meet her trainer, refusing to go back into her ball when she'd heard her name from the back. She signed quickly what he wanted her for and he signed back in kind, explaining Hana's situation. Kintaro Satoshi Team Flare. He had heard of a group by that name. Once. The male stood straight and his gaze narrowed as he looked to the ground. Team Flare was not something she could just fight. "They're dangerous." He mused aloud, folding his hands calmly behind his back. Attica was still unsure of how to proceed, but she was beginning to grasp she would get to be violent. "Team Flare is not some band of rogues that we can retaliate against without a plan. We're going to rescue your Deino, but we're going to do this my way." He told her firmly, wanting to keep Hana from running into battle unprepared and making it worse for herself. "This is war we'll be waging. A small one, but a war all the same. First, we are going to need to acquire more information about your...friend." He commented as he watched the blue-haired woman and her Froakie. "Zinnia. If you saw this man again do you think you would be able to identify him?" While Kintaro believed he would be able to identify the young man he didn't know what he looked like outside of his disguise. He might look wildly different. Kintaro Satoshi The strange Gardevoir volunteered to help Hanako, that was a good start. He couldn't imagine what was going on with the little creature that it looked so vastly different from the rest of its species. Kintaro didn't think much of the creature. It was abnormal, that appeared to be all. He gave Gardevoir a slight nod when the Pokemon looked at him. Neither was a threat to the other, or to Hana, so they could relax. He moved to support Hanako as she sat back down and became visibly heavier from the strain of her day. "Come, Ms. Lucali. It is time for you to lie down. We will hunt Team Flare after you wake." He was sure he would be up before her, even if he remained awake for hours more. Kintaro frowned to himself and looked at his Pokeballs once they were returned. He touched Mary's ball and let the Luxio out once more. "Mary. You know Ms. Lucali. She's your friend." He reminded the Luxio. She padded up to Hana and nudged her hand gently, then licked it as she began to purr. She remembered Hana, of course, she was the nice lady who had wanted to pet her! She could accept this. She wasn't as mean as Attica. Who believed there was no such thing as female friends. "Mary, if you could, I'd like you to accompany Ms. Lucali to bed. She could use some extra warmth." He instructed, making Mary turn and mewl aloud. He blinked at the way she responded to his request, turning his head slowly. Attica sighed and used her elbow to jab Kintaro this time. He didn't need a proper stabbing at the moment. He glanced down at the Pawniard who pointed out what he'd tried to do not very long ago. The man's face flushed slightly with embarrassment. "That isn't what I meant. Ms. Lucali is hurt. And she's coping with a loss. Mary's task is to give her some comfort. You know that, Attica." He admonished his Pokemon, causing her to clank! one blade against her forehead. As much as Kintaro didn't want to admit it, they all needed sleep. He was no more invulnerable than his companions. When they returned to the room Hana was awake again...kinda. She was upright at any rate but the poor young woman looked ready to pass out again at any moment. She sipped at the water that was offered to her, giving both Vervain and Ember appreciative kisses before moving so she was sitting on the edge of the bed. After Ember helped her stand up she adjusted the blanket around Mary and Zinnia, leaving them to sleep for just a bit longer. Hana still looked exhausted but at least she was on her feet. "I wonder if there's a shower anywhere around here." Hana muttered to herself, clinging to Ember to keep herself upright. She should not have been up yet. "I saw where the showers were on the way back here. I'll walk her there." If getting cleaned up would help his new trainer feel better, the Gardevoir was more than happy to help her. Before Vervain could protest he led her from the room, guiding her back towards the area he had seen the shower rooms in. Unfortunately he encountered several problems almost immediately. One- there sounded like there was already a group of other trainers in the female showers- why anyone else was up so early was beyond him, two- he had completely forgotten that a change of clothes was probably necessary, and three- finding a towel was also very necessary. All of that boiled down to him leaving his trainer alone in a room full of strangers. He hadn't been with her long but she didn't seem like the type who could deal with people she didn't know. The solution to the first problem was simple enough. After a quick check he concluded the male showers were completely empty. She would be able to get cleaned up without having to worry about dealing with other people...assuming he could hurry back fast enough to make sure nobody else entered the showers until she was done. He still needed to find a towel for her...and retrieve her clothes...or bring her entire bag to her because she had nothing to wash herself with either. "I really didn't think this through." He sighed, leading his trainer into the room anyway. The Gardevoir patted her head before running off, leaving a very confused Hanako to strip herself of her clothing and step into the nearest shower stall. Kintaro Satoshi Kintaro's rest was uneasy in spite of the fact that Mary had helped keep Hanako warm and comfortable through the night. Instead of put him at ease, the male had decidedly failed to comfort himself. Attica lay at the foot of the bed between his legs but did not attempt to do anything but be there. The Pawniard wasn't exactly a snuggly thing. The best she could do was be present for her Boss. Everything he had tried to help Hana avoid doing was now his burden to bear. Where was Baloth? How would they find him? Would he be OK when they did...?
The morning remained restless as Kintaro rose quietly. He saw Hanako still sleeping in bed and left the room with Attica posted to guard it. He had already come down for a shower when Gardevoir had scouted the men's room. If he hadn't been using the restroom, the Pokemon may have realized Kintaro was there. As a result Hanako was ushered into an occupied room with Kintaro's scarred body on full display. He ignored the sounds at first. It was not his business to worry about others as long as they didn't worry about him. Most either ignored him back or gave him the room a bit longer. He blinked as something else occurred to him after listening to clothing rustle and fall away. He wasn't a detective of any sort, but he was confident that no other men had come to the Pokemon Center over the night. Who was his companion? Foolish curiosity led the office man to peer out of his stall and spy something he hadn't expected. Hana had come into the men's room for some privacy of her own! "M-M-Ms. Lucali!?" He tried to sound authoritative in the moment but there was far too much skin showing for that to even come close. His voice broke and his focus went hazy trying to escape the view of his partner for her own sake. Naturally, she was in a stall right beside his and Kintaro was too shocked to do anything but stare at her. Kintaro Satoshi Kintaro's struggle was valiant but futile. Soft skin came into contact with his own coarse, scarred body. The contrast was impossible not to feel. Her remarks were not helping his stress any. "That is e-e-entirely unnecessary! Ms. Lucali! Stop--!" Protested the man as he tried to pull away from the embrace. She was stronger than she looked and that was his undoing. Kintaro jerked back to escape and, failing to pull free, lurched forward as the wet floor threw him off balance. Instead of getting away from her, Kintaro and Hanako found the floor together almost immediately with his face stuck in her chest. A few mortified moments passed before Kintaro yanked himself free and clambered off of the girl as quickly as he could. "Ms Lucali! Are you alright? Did you get hurt?" He was deeply concerned about his young companion. The lack of clothing became less of a concern as his lack of damage from falling made him better able to focus entirely on Hanako's own potential harm. He looked irritated even though he was worrying over her. "You shouldn't be in here. This is not for women." He pointed out, looking at their surroundings. It really was a poor argument. There wasn't too much different between the two bathing areas except the dividing walls. "Come along. Let's get you cleaned up and out of this room." He added, wanting to get this over with and understanding now just how lost Hana really was to have chosen to come into the men's room instead of going to her own.
