Elfana Aroway Kiro croaked when the Weather Ball hit him this time. That was going to be sore later. Elfana looked up from her notebook again, watching her Croagunk closely to make sure he could keep on battling. There didn't look like there was any serious damage. Kiro could walk it off. And walk it off he did. The Croagunk lunged again, landing another solid, poisonous hit on the Roserade. They wanted to end to battle quickly so he was happy to oblige. He hopped back, eying the Roserade to confirm the battle was done. The Croagunk returned to his trainer, holding up his poison coated hands and croaking softly. She retrieved a rag from her things and carefully cleaned the poison away before letting Kiro climb on to her shoulders. After Kiro had settled in she stood, storing both the rag and notebook and waiting for Gardenia to approach. "That went well." The comment was directed towards her Croagunk, who was resting against his trainer while he recovered. A trip to the Pokemon Center was necessary for Liandry but he was going to try to avoid the worst of it.

Elfy Leader GardeniaThe Rose saw the attack coming and began to try and whirl and dance her way away from the attack. But her graceful and elegant moves were nothing compared to the Croagunk's brute strength. the toxins didn't do much once again, but the strike did knock her off of her feet and rolled a little before coming to a stop. Gardenia had a strained expression, as if she were able assist in Roserade getting up, but no luck. She had a sorrowful look as she returned her beloved Roserade, but her cheerful expression returned as she made her way over to the challenger. She started digging in her many pockets in her cargo shorts for the badge and once she had it, she held it out for the challenger. "Your Pokémon are pretty tough battlers" Gardenia complimented. "And freakin' adorable." she added, which she felt was important to comment on. However, she did feel the need comment, on something she noticed during the battle. "They are tough battlers, but you can't let them battle alone, It should be a team effort. It worked out perfectly fine here, and your Pokémon did well. But Maylene and the other Leaders are pretty tough. You don't want your Pokémon feeling alone on the field." Gardenia offered the challenger, Kiro had done amazingly well but if she wasn't paying attention, had Gardenia been able to turn the tides on him he might not have been able to recover or battle as effectively without her. She then beamed and whirled around to run off to heal her Pokémon, but she only made it one step before stopping. She hesitated before turning around, her demeanor completely different, and grim. Her expression was void of any excitement, and was entirely serious, unlike the entire battle. "Your Pokemon seem very strong, and you look smart, and probably will do well in the league... But whatever you do... Do not go in the old Chateau in the Eterna Forest." She warned in a very grim tone. Once she had finished the warning, she returned to normal, whirling around and sprinting to the back of the gym and through a hidden door. In a matter of minutes Gardenia and her Turtwig came bursting through the door. "Time for fun!" She shouted, running for Elfana's own Turtwig, and Cranidos happily joining in any games they wanted to play. She knew about practically every grass type so she was excited to see a Bounsweet but she knew to respect the Pokemon's space based off of their nature.Elfana has received:+28 split between Liandry and Kiro Forest Badge TM 86 Grass Knot

Elfana Aroway Kiro looked almost offended when Gardenia decided to comment on how the doctor let him battle. He was perfectly capable of handling battles on his own! Elfana could trust him to succeed in whatever task he was given! He started to croak his annoyance but stopped when the doctor grabbed one of his hands, gently rubbing it as if she expected there to be some discomfort after hitting the Roserade. He was fine but he enjoyed the attention all the same. "We aren't alone." Kiro muttered, playing with his trainer's hair to keep himself busy until it was time to leave. So long as they were with their trainer they would never be alone. Elfana remained where she was after storing away her new badge. She had wanted to leave immediately but decided it would be best to wait until Gardenia returned. The excited Pokemon could get themselves into trouble if they were left without supervision. By the time Gardenia returned with her Turtwig, Kayuki had joined Elfana. The Jynx had wrapped her arms around one of the doctor's and was waiting patiently to escort her to the Pokemon Center. The Alakazam would remain behind to help babysit the other Pokemon. Kayuki would babysit Elfana. "Old Chateau?" Elfana stared at Gardenia after she had finished her warning, taking a couple of seconds to process it. She couldn't help but laugh when she finally did. At no point did she plan on going back to that mansion. "Well...now we know that place has a name." She shook her head then turned to leave the Gym, letting Kayuki guide her back towards the Pokemon Center. After Kiro and Liandry had been healed she took her time getting back to the Gym, stopping in at a couple of shops to search for what she needed for her new project.
A little over an hour later her legs were nearly knocked out from under her when she was charged at by an excited Cranidos the moment she entered the Gym. Pantalaimon followed soon after, both Pokemon attaching themselves to one of her legs. They were both trying to explain how much fun their time at the Gym had been but she couldn't make sense of either of them over all the noise. "They had fun and would like to come back to play someday." Walter explained as he approach, his wrists locked together in a manner that looked almost uncomfortable so he could carry the Bounsweet. Elfana hadn't planned on returned to Eterna City for anything after leaving but she might have to consider it if her Pokemon really wanted to come back to the Gym. "Thank you for letting them stay for a while!" She called to Gardenia, not bothering to enter the Gym far enough to hold an actual conversation. The little group left the Gym after Pantalaimon and Cranberry released her legs long enough to walk.

Elfana Aroway By the time she reached the edge of the town, the little group had been left at the Gym had been returned to their Pokeballs. All of the excitement had worn them out. Kayuki had opted to return to her Pokeball as well. She wanted a break after spending the night in the forest. Elfana would be fine on her own for a while. Walter would keep her safe. This left Elfana with Kiro and Walter to keep her company while she navigated Mt. Coronet to Celestic Town. She was hoping to make it to Veilstone before the day ended. Celestic Town was small compared to some of the towns in the region so it wasn't unreasonable to think she could get through it quickly. Worst case scenario she made it to Veilstone later in the evening and spent the night at the Pokemon Center. That was fine by her. Her Pokemon needed time to rest anyway and it would give her time to work on her project. With this plan in mind, the little group made their way into Mt. Coronet, taking their first steps towards putting Eterna City a comfortable distance behind them.

Elfana Aroway "And we're back to this miserable hellhole. Wonderful." Elfana was still entirely opposed to everything about Eterna City. She didn't want to be back there. Had she not needed the stamp from the Pokemon Center, she likely never would have returned to Eterna City for anything. There was nothing in the city for her since she already had her badge from the Gym. The only thing of note that she did before heading to the Pokemon Center was text her brother's Lucario. Her last stop would be the Resort Area of Northeastern Island and she wanted to arrange for him to meet her there. She could deal with whatever lecture he had prepared for her after she had completed the event. Once again, the doctor had a whole lot of nothing to say to the nurse. She had interacted with her more than enough in the short time she had spent in the city prior to the event. Her behavior towards the Eterna City nurse was an improvement towards the way she acted towards the nurse in Oreburgh however. She was polite about requesting her stamp and was willing to offer up more than just short answers to any questions she was asked. When her book was returned to her she even gave a pleasant wave as she headed out the door. She didn't see a reason to dwell in the city. She would have to pass through it one more time before the event was over and she intended to get through it every bit as quickly as she had the first visit.Sinnoh

Elfana Aroway Elfana wished that Walter was willing to Teleport her through Eterna City. They were down to their last few towns though so the Alakazam was being stubborn about making her walk the rest of the way. He was determined to get her to get as much as she possibly could out of the last leg of her adventure. Had she not had to go through Eterna City and Mt. Coronet, Elfana wouldn't have minded. She probably needed the exercise anyway given how much she had eaten over the past few days. Walking through Eterna City again was miserable though. She couldn't imagine the mountain was going to be that much better. Elfana had painfully few positive experiences with caves. The only tunnels she trusted were the ones Anty had created beneath her office. Anything else was sketchy at best. Sinnoh

Coronet that split the region in two down the middle. Thus far, they were making good progress she felt, and soon enough they would be heading back west to get to Kanto and Johto for their last two regions to visit and collect stamps through. Moving south from Crown City, Emiri marked down their next location to visit on the map that she had been taking along with them for their journey around the world, and saw that they were next getting ready to head into Eterna City. Eterna was a familiar location to her, first having the gym badge from the league gym there, but as they came up on the old city skyline, Emiri instead veered off to the outskirts with her Pokemon, each of them landing one by one. Emiri dismounted from Charizard’s back softly, the baby in her arms as he had been sat in Charizard’s saddle with her, and Cerian too in a curiosity followed with her as Emiri made her way towards a statue that stood in worn faded bronze, towering over her as she looked up from the shadow. Dialga was part of Sinnoh’s great history, the creation of the world as they knew it, and even though parts of Sinnoh were losing touch with their history, there were parts of it that still stood strong. The baby looked up with shimmering gold eyes while Cerian sniffed around at the statue that stood before them, and Emiri smiled at her great guardian, lifting the Chifaera up a little more from her arms to see.
Letting down the baby from her arms and watching him and Cerian pounce off together back towards Kovu while they played, Emiri moved into the city to find the Pokemon Center for her next stamp. She absentmindedly held the shimmering silver hair of her braid in her hands, twiddling the length in her hands while she walked with Nimbus beside her, and she smiled at the faintest glimmer of the silver mark, knowing that Dialga was close and watching, no matter where, or when he was. She entered into the Pokemon Center and got her next stamp from Nurse Joy, another location down and more to go. Her muscles protested as she sat up, the aches settling deep into her bones. The sterile scent of the Pokécenter room filled her senses, and for a moment, she debated whether to rise or let herself sink back into the relative comfort of the bed. The soft morning light filtering through the curtains told her it was a new day, but the lingering exhaustion from the horrors she had faced made it hard to feel any relief. Her mind wandered back to Discovery Island—the nightmares, the strife... She had fought hard before, seen terrifying things, but never had her body so fiercely reminded her of its limits. After a long, tired debate with herself, she threw back the blankets and slid out of bed, wincing slightly as her feet hit the cold floor. Once in the bathroom, the hot water from the shower was a welcome reprieve. She let it pour over her sore muscles, careful to avoid the wrappings on her left leg, a grim reminder of what she had endured. The water soothed her, but it couldn’t wash away the fatigue that seemed to cling to her spirit. When she finished, she tied her thick, dark hair into a tight braid, fingers moving with a practiced rhythm, and pulled on her usual travel clothes. Outside, the Pokécenter bustled with trainers and their partners, the hum of conversation and the whir of healing machines filling the air. As she stepped into the bright morning, Cypress reached into her bag and released Wyatt, her tall Alolan Exeggutor. He stood towering above her, his palm-like leaves swaying gently in the breeze. “Where should we head to now?” she asked, shading her eyes as she looked up at him. His long neck craned slightly downward. “I think taking it easy and letting the little ones have some fun might be our best bet,” Wyatt’s voice chimed with it's usual calm tone. Cypress nodded, walking silently as the warmth of the morning sun touched her skin. She was already running through places in her mind, places where her young Pokémon could enjoy themselves without the weight of the responsibilities that had so often followed them. Pushing a cart brimming with fresh fruits, vegetables, proteins, and treats, she took a moment to check everything before heading to checkout. Once she left the bustling city behind, Cypress walked toward the outskirts, where a small park hugged the edge of nature. She was enjoying the gentle rhythm of the music. The slow, soothing melodies washed over her like waves, offering a much-needed respite after the intensity of her recent adventures. Her body still ached, particularly her left leg, but for the first time in what felt like ages, she allowed herself to fully relax. The sunlight bathed the clearing, casting a warm glow over the scene. Cypress lazily propped herself up on her elbows, her eyes drifting over the younger Pokémon as they played nearby, their antics eliciting the occasional smile. Marbles, her Larvitar, had rolled over and nestled comfortably into her leg. After what they had endured, this calm felt earned. But as the sun began to dip, casting longer shadows over the field, it was time to pack up. Cypress began gathering the picnic supplies, the blanket, and various scattered items. She moved slower than usual, feeling the wear of her age and the lingering strain from Discovery Island. Despite that, today had been a successful step towards recovery for all of them. "Are you going to battle Gardenia?" Wyatt asked, his long neck swaying as he looked down at her. His tone was calm but curious. Cypress let out a deep breath, pausing her movements. "I don't know," she replied, glancing around at her Pokémon, some resting and others still playing. She didn’t want to rush them into something as intense as a gym battle just yet. They had faced enough recently. "It might be too soon for a battle." Before Cypress could respond, Pineco added in with his usual bluntness, "We could handle it." He bobbed slightly as he spoke, his tone unshaken by any doubts. Cypress smiled faintly at his confidence, but the weight of her decision still pressed on her mind. Wyatt, ever the translator, shared Pineco's words with her. 【 ＯＵＴＦＩＴ┃ Light weight green tank top, dark green shorts, and hiking boots.┃ ＬＯＣＡＴＩＯＮ | In the Pokecenter | ＷＩＴＨ┃ ┃ ＴＵＮＥ ┃ In the Woods Somewhere】 After collecting her rewards from the Gym, Cypress left in a rush, walking briskly to the Pokécenter. Although the battle had gone in her favor, she hadn’t expected Pineco to use Self-Destruct, which left her rattled. Even though she had seen the move before and knew Pineco was okay, the sight of one of her Pokémon exploding under her care shook her. Upon arriving at the Pokécenter, Cypress handed over her team to Nurse Joy for healing and sat down, fidgeting slightly as the unsettling images replayed in her mind. She cared for her Pokémon deeply, and even the most routine battles could sometimes reveal their unpredictability. Once her team was healed, Cypress collected them, leaving the center and walking until she found a quiet spot outside town. It was only then that she released both Wyatt and Pineco, ready for the conversation that had been bubbling inside her since the Gym battle. Wyatt, standing tall and calm as always, watched as Pineco rested on the ground, looking up with its usual, somewhat clueless expression. “Are you crazy?” Cypress blurted out, unable to hold back her frustration any longer. Pineco blinked up at Wyatt for guidance, unsure of how to respond. “No?” he replied, his tone confused, perhaps sensing the trap in her words. Wyatt, ever the mediator, stepped in. “Okay, what happened?” His deep voice remained calm, already anticipating that he might need to smooth things over. Cypress let out a frustrated sigh. “He used Self-Destruct against Gardenia without telling me” Her voice was laced with shock, more than anger. She wasn’t mad about the battle itself—it was the shock of seeing her Pokémon willingly blow itself up. Wyatt tilted his head slightly. “How do you expect him to have warned you?” He asked gently, reminding her that communication between them wasn’t so simple. Cypress knew he was right but wasn’t ready to concede. “That’s not the point!” Her irritation spiked, though part of her recognized Wyatt’s reasoning. "I just need to know," she continued, her tone firm, "that you won’t do that again without my okay." Pineco nodded, seeming to understand, though it still remained as stoic as ever.
