The little eye followed the party off and on while Dana and her group moved along the Dreamyard's corridor. It popped in and out of dark places, giving Duchess and Brigitte fits as they kept reacting to the thing without ever quite catching it in the act of being a pest! Brigitte finally got sick of being stalked, using Vine Whip against a dark corner the thing had just slipped out of. Nothing?! It was just there! "I think we have a ghost!" Cried the fairy on the flower, scowling at the darkness. Dana paused, slowly blinking as she processed something she had not given any thought until now. She could understand her Pokemon. "Brigitte?" The little flower turned in the air. "Wh-where...is that ghost?" She asked, trying not to stammer her discomfort at the idea. She also struggled to not call attention to the fact she was answering one of her Pokemon. Mannchen, of course, was immediately aware. She responded with a much different behavior than normal. The Audino had the impression of "so this is what it sounds like" from her tone. "Hm? Well, there's something around here! I can't attack it, it keeps moving when I try and only Ghost Pokemon can do that!" Cried the Fairy Type. She was just so frustrated trying to hit the darned thing!
Mannchen just frowned at the Pokemon around him, watching their surroundings and using his ear antennae to help him track the thing's location. He was so concerned with the corners Brigitte kept referring to that he didn't notice when it shoved a rock out of a shadow directly in his path. Mannchen tripped over the rock and Gible let out a raucous cry of laughter. It poked its head out from the ground and cackled. Dana yelped and fell backward on her butt while Brigitte and Duchess, once again, leaped into action only to strike at solid ground. The two looked at each other, then broke off to try and cover more ground. The one-eyed Gible giggled as it dropped from the ceiling right into Dana's lap! It stared up at her, she stared down at it. The toothy grin did not make it look more appealing. Nor did the ghoulish cry it released before laughing and jumping into the floor just before Brigitte lashed out, slapping Dana across her belly. "Ow! Brigitte!!" She cried in dismay. It wasn't her Floette's fault...but that really hurt! Mannchen heaved a heavy sigh and climbed back to his feet, waiting patiently this time and closing his eyes to focus on his senses. Gible made the mistake of assuming his calm silence meant he was not paying attention. It froze when Mannchen sang briefly, put off by the sweet melody before it broke into a cacophonous scream that blasted Gible into the laboratory. It fell to the ground and slumped there, leaving Dana staring at an unconscious little monster while Mannchen stood over it curiously. He stopped, then gestured to the spot. "I think this is something you're going to want. It's a wretched little monster...You should unleash it on the Beauty Contest one day." He had been paying attention. He knew Dana could understand them, and he knew she had a bone to pick with the way Contests were carried out. Mannchen could win Cute Contests on looks alone, but not Tough or Cool usually. Gible just wouldn't even place in Beauty unless Dana had put in painstaking amounts of effort into it...this thing just didn't belong in Beauty at all.
After Dana had thrown the ball to claim her new Gible, the group had to pause as something else appeared. The dark Musharna Dana had heard about was hovering in the middle of the capsule it had once been kept in. Though the area was destroyed and the capsule long since shattered, the spirit of Musharna remained as if imprisoned still. Dana frowned to herself, losing a little luster as she shook her head. "L-let's go..." She murmured, realizing that her melancholy wasn't just a moment of sadness for Musharna. She was pretty sure the Psychic was giving her its feelings so she could understand what it was like here.
