 What used to be known as the Pokemon Energy Laboratory east of Striaton City, the Dreamyard is what is left of the facility that was left to ruins. This laboratory was once a research facility that was researching Musharna's dream mist to see if they could make it into a sort of clean energy source. However, due to people's evil thoughts and desires surrounding the project, the Musharna was corrupted and it's dream mist turned black. This caused an energy overload and created a giant explosion destroying the whole facility, leaving just a handful of survivors from the original research team. Since then, the laboratory has been left to rot in ruin and has been over run by plants, vines, and Pokemon. No one has come to dissemble what was left of the facility in fear of further upsetting the Munna and Musharna that still dwell here, so it has instead been left alone.

"Oh no..." Dana moaned, gathering up Hellen when she was put to sleep and then promptly knocked out by Musharna. The Psychic then made short work of Lorkee who had decided to dive in and wrap up Musharna so it couldn't move as easily. The Psychic Tapir made quick work of the Poison Type Lorkee with another burst of Stored Power. Brigitte hesitated at first. It had taken the time to knock out her family's enemy after all...was it really all bad? The flower considered letting Musharna get away when it turned on Dana. "Huh? Hey! WHOA! Don't you dare!" Cried the flower Fairy as Musharna aimed to fire a Psybeam directly at the trainer instead of her Pokemon. Vines erupted from the flower stem and two struck each side of Musharna's face before the Pokemon collapsed from its other injuries. The threat was defeated...for now.Partners:

Grae and company eventually meandered their way to the Dreamyard. It looked rather dilapidated. It held some visage of an old research lab, but only some walls and machines were still there, albeit in a state of disrepair and ruin. Grae got an ominous feeling from it as if something bad had happened here before. However, all around, there also seemed to be life regrowing and rebuilding from the wreckage. Grae and Cei walked around the ruins for a bit, simply seeing the site. There were signs someone else had been there recently, though. Who it may have been, Grae was unsure, although it was possible it may have been Dana or some other trainer on their travels. Grae eventually found a spot on an old machine and sat for a moment after wiping it off. They closed their eyes and absorbed the energy of the place before looking around again. It just occurred to them where exactly they were. Grae was sitting near the epicenter of the explosion of the former Dream Facility. The walls still had evidence of charring on them and suddenly Grae felt a deep sadness engulf them. They were taken back to memories of the site of their parents’ Team Plasma hideout that, coincidentally, also exploded a few years ago. However, that explosion was no accident, unlike the one at the Dream Facility. Or, was it? Grae had at one point heard whispers of within that hideout, mentions of dreams, experiments, and research. It had just occurred to Grae that maybe the explosion here was no accident and also some plan by Team Plasma. Unfortunately for Grae, this moment of thought was cut short by Cei tugging at their clothes. “Oh, Cei. What is it?” Unusual for Cei, he simply pointed towards something, to which Grae turned to look at. To their dismay, it was a rather upset-looking Audino. That Pokemon was typically rather docile towards people and even would help them willingly. However, something seemed off about this one. Grae also noticed that there now appeared to be a sort of dark mist in the air. Grae wasn’t quite sure what it was, but certainly had a bad feeling about it.

The Audino suddenly began to run towards Cei and Kazuno. The two were shocked by the Pokemon’s hostile nature. Suddenly, though, Kazuno came out of her Pokeball and stopped the Audino in its tracks with a Rock Slide attack, knocking it out. Grae analyzed the situation and could tell that some outside force caused the Audino to act aggressively. However, they were unsure what it was at that moment. “Thank you, Kazuno,” Grae said to the Pokemon. Battle Summary: Kazuno (lev. 22) vs. Audino (lev. 10) Kazuno used Rock Slide, Audino hp (70-70=0) Audino is knocked out, Kazuno gains 5 exp.

Grae, Cei, and Kazuno looked around and could see that the black mist began to disappear but was still noticeable in the air. After a brief moment of ominous silence, a glint caught Grae’s attention in the corner of their eye. They then immediately ducked as something pounced at where their head was a moment ago. Once the object had passed, Grae lifted their head and saw that it was a Purrloin. While the Pokemon weren’t often openly hostile, they were mischievous creatures. However, even this behavior seemed out of place to Grae. Grae sent out Gallant a moment later, calling out an attack, “Use Peck on the Purrloin, Gallant!” Gallant bravely attacked the Purrloin before the Pokemon retaliated with a Scratch attack. “Keep using Peck, Gallant!” Gallant did as commanded, pecking twice to knock out the Purrloin, though it did manage one more scratch attack. Grae went up the Purrloin and investigated its eyes which had an odd appearance to them, even from a distance. Upon closer inspection, they seemed to be noticeably much darker than usual. This concerned Grae at first, but then the darkness started to fade slightly. Interestingly, Grae also realized that the dark mist had also cleared more than before defeating the Purrloin. Grae then had an idea but wasn’t sure how useful it would be. They sent out Twili the Murkrow and commanded both Twili and Gallant to try to blow away the black mist in the air. Gallant respectfully followed the instruction but Twili was reluctant at first till it too seemed to realize the danger of the mist. Together, the two bird Pokemon managed to blow away the mist, clearing the air. After this, Grae could see that a Munna had been nearby hiding in the densest parts of the mist. It was on the ground and appeared to be in pain and scared. Grae and their Pokemon went up the Munna. Grae could see that there was an ominous black mist emitting from the Munna’s head. While their Pokemon seemed weary of the mist and concerned for Grae, Grae decided to pat the Munna on the head. It winced at first before finding comfort in the petting. Suddenly, the black mist began to fade into a pink color which returned back into the small, pink Pokemon’s body. It opened its eyes and saw Grae and their Pokemon around it. It seemed dazed as it looked at its surroundings. Once it registered that Grae was a human and the one that had patted its head, it smiled and attempted to hug Grae, who gladly accepted. “I am glad you are feeling better now…” Grae said to it gently. The Pokemon then removed itself from Grae’s embrace and floated to the nearby bushes, seemingly satisfied. As Grae was about to get up from kneeling on the ground, a sudden dizziness fell over them. They fell to the ground and could barely see Kazuno, Cei, and the others panic before things went black.

After what felt like an instant, Grae found themself standing in a vast space that appeared to have no bounds. The area was a warm pink color that pulsed gently but comfortingly. Grae was about to try to speak when a voice said something from somewhere Grae could not see but could clearly hear as if there was someone speaking to them beside them. At first, Grae had to strain to make sense of the words being said at first due to an overwhelming grogginess, but the words became easier to understand as the being spoke. It seemed as if the being understood this and had repeated itself again a few times to Grae. “Hello, Grae Taiji. I am glad we could meet, although I wish we could speak to each other in a less jarring way… Oh! I should introduce myself. I am what you humans call a Musharna. If it helps, you may refer to me as Yume.” “Oh, hello, Yume. I see you already know who I am, though I am curious as to how that is possible,” Grae said realizing the oddness of the situation they were in. “We are currently connected through the dream realm. Our thoughts and consciousness are intertwined, so we are able to share at least some memories. That, and I also went snooping a bit while you were entering the dream state,” “I see. That doesn’t seem very polite, but you must have had a reason though. I must ask though, Yume, is there a reason you brought me here to the dream realm?” “Ah, yes, I realize that it was a bit rude to do so so suddenly, but I am afraid my powers are limited and I am therefore only able to talk to humans directly through dreams, hence why one of my children hypnotized you so that we may speak. So, sorry about that again. However, the reason I wanted to speak to you was that I recognized your aura. Well, also because it was your negative emotions that tainted the dream mist of the resident Munna and inadvertently caused the Pokemon enveloped in the mist to become aggressive.”

Grae was shocked at what they heard, “What do you mean that my emotions tainted the dream mist? Also, how is my aura familiar to you?” “I’ll answer the easier question first. Well, now that we are better linked, it seems I was mistaken about your aura. I mistook it for one that I knew a long time ago, but it seems your aura is somehow only similar to the aura I was familiar with. To be more precise, it is closer to a mix of two formerly known auras, with a little something extra of your own thrown in,” Yume paused momentarily as if to allow time to think, but Grae seemed to have figured out what Yume was trying to remember before it could. “So, would I be correct in assuming you somehow knew my parents?” Grae said as they looked downward sullenly. “Ah, yes, that would explain it. While I can’t know for sure if the two people whose aura I am familiar with were your parents, that does seem like a plausible explanation. I used to be able to feel their auras more strongly even when they had left this place, but a while ago, their auras got a lot weaker. I now see the remnants of their auras I was feeling is what was left in you. Am I correct in assuming that something happened to them several years ago?” Grae looked up into the void of the dream space. They had to fight back tears at first, however, they also noticed that the color of the dreamscape was changing to a dingier gray, almost black in some places. Grae closed their eyes and took a deep breath before responding with their eyes still closed, “Yes, they died in an explosion several years ago.” “Oh, I am sorry to hear that. I am even more sorry if I dredged up bad memories. That was not my intent. I do want to ask you to open your eyes though so that I can further explain something,” The voice known as Yume responded. Grae suddenly felt a lot lighter and less sorrowful than they had a moment ago. They took another deep breath before opening their eyes. To their surprise, the darkness had begun to go away and the dreamscape was returning to its fleshy pink color. So, to answer your other question, yes, your negative emotions earlier when you felt the sorrow of the disaster here at the Dreamyward did taint the dream mist and turn it black, just like your momentary sadness began to do a moment ago. I can tell you have been through much pain, but you also have much love for your Pokemon. That is something I commend you on. Now, I should probably let you go now. I have kept you long enough and your Pokemon are probably waiting for you to reawake. Thank you for talking with me and allowing me to reconnect with the auras of people I once knew.” “I have more questions about my parents, but I understand. Considering you don’t seem to hold a grudge against them means that you must have not hated them, so that is enough to at least answer a couple of my questions. Thank you, Yume. Hopefully, we meet again someday,” Grae replied. After saying this, the soft pink began to fade and Grae’s began to feel rather sleepy again. “Grae! You’re awake! We were so worried for you! We were about to try and find another trainer to come help us when you woke back up. I am so glad you are awake!” Cei replied, still in a bit of a panic from when Grae was still unconscious. Grae was surprised to see Cei as a Zorua and not in his human form upon waking up. “I am sorry you all were worried, but I am okay. It seems that the Munna I approached earlier used Hypnosis on me, causing me to fall asleep. It’s okay though, a Musharna named Yume explained everything in my dream I had while asleep.” “A Musharna? You mean that floating Pokemon with the pink cloud coming from its head?” “Yes, that one. She explained that my negative emotions earlier affected the dream mist of the local Munna, which in turn caused the wild Pokemon to attack us. Speaking of which, did they try to attack again while I was asleep?” “Actually, I was going to tell you, yes, a couple of them did for a brief moment, but we were able to ward them off. Just as quickly as they began to attack us though, they stopped and the two that attacked us seemed rather confused as to why they did so to begin with.” Grae frowned upon hearing this, “I am sorry, but that too was my fault. Yume the Musharna said something that brought up some tough memories. Even in the dream, I was able to see that my emotions had affected the dream mist. I hope you all are alright.” “Yes! We are fine. We were just worried for you and are glad to see you are alright!” “That is good to hear. Yume and I talked about the dream mist and about my parents. I think I feel a bit better about them now though after talking to her. That being said, I think we should probably leave the Dreamyard for now. I think we’ve had our adventure for the day,” Grae replied, smiling slightly towards their Pokemon. “Alrighty then, back to Striaton City!” Cei stated as he redisguised himself.

Following the very much less attended road, he arrived at.. some abandoned and ruined laboratory. Well, not quite yet but he was closer than further from it.
Strange, he wasn't expecting to find something like that right near a big city. Especially since it looked abandoned and unattended for so long, with bushes and grass growing tall and wild. Far ahead were aforementioned ruins of some facility, Vale had never heard about it. And nothing in the Striaton indicated that it had access to something like that. Either on a purpose or just.. decided it's unimportant now.
Obviously it didn't meant there were no wild Pokemons looking for trouble. Yet again he ran across some stray Purrloin, that pounced at him from bushes. Its fur bristled on its back, not to mention its tail seemed twice as bushy. It seemed.. more disturbed than usual, actually. But he wasn't going to let some wild cat intimidate him. This time, he used Mudkip to fight. He wanted to check how his other teammembers are doing in battle. Cliff spotted the wild Purrloin and reacted instantly - countering its Scratch with his own move, that made his paws glow and hit the cat pretty damn hard. Opponent screeched in pain and ran away so fast, it left a cloud of dust behind.
Cliff looked at him proud of his 'battle', but then they both heard a loud noise coming from the ruins. Coincidentally, Purrloin ran in opposite direction, so it must been something else. A Pokemon or maybe a person? Who knows.
"Stay close to me." he ordered, giving Mudkip a stern and serious look. "We should check it. If it's a Pokemon, we can fight it."
If it wasn't, then.. he had no idea. That could be a robber or some gang. But they can still deal with it.

Maybe he should be smarter and not wander into some abandoned territory all alone. Well, maybe not technically all alone because he had Pokemons with himself, but.. he was still one person. Cliff wandered close to him, observing curiously and cautiously. Eventually, they reached the ruins and Valentine stared in awe at the damage. He could only imagine how bit this place was before the destruction. As he got closer, he spotted something weird.. happening with the air. He walked closer to shattered windows and noticed swirls of weird, dark pink smoke surrounding the center of ruins.
It seemed like it just came from somewhere or even everywhere, and now most of this area was covered in it. It seeped slightly outside, and Vale couldn't tell if it was too far to smell or maybe it was completely scentless. Maybe that was for the better... unless it's still toxic. In that case, Vale attempted on covering his face while venturing through it and put Cliff back to his PokeBall. Maybe it was dumb thing, but.. he would rather not have his Pokemons intoxicated.
As for him, well, he dealt with gases already. Multiple times actually, during his studies. This was nothing like he had ever experienced, but it shouldn't be too dangerous.
He hoped at least.
Going against his better judgement, he walked around the wall, trying to get into the, what he thought could be decades ago, main hall. The smoke seemed denser in the center, as if emanating from something. Valentine coughed and covered his face tighter, but he couldn't tell if it was the mist or just dust surrounding the area. He couldn't find the source of the weird noise he heard earlier, and maybe it was for the better.
Something however caught his attention, in one of the ruined rooms. Door was long gone, and it had big hole at the very end of it, but.. there was something sparkling in here. Someone had lost something here while exploring or maybe left on purpose?

He wasn't sure what he was expecting, but he found the source of glowing thing. It was a round and smooth egg. Not quite Pokemon egg by any means, or the edible one, but.. it was more like a smoothed egg-shaped rock. Strange, but he shrugged - it was still a free item. Finders keepers or whatever.
He took it, and it was a mistake because something in other room clicked loudly and it really startled him. He let down his 'mask' a bit and instantly coughed and sneezed, as dust scratched his throat and nostrils. The pink haze was almost everywhere at this point, but seemed to come out even more from the other room.
Had he opened something?
"Fuck it, let's see." Valentine mumbled and hid the found egg in his bag. His eyes itched a bit, so he rubbed them, but when he opened them again.. he could swore he saw something standing behind the shattered windows.
He turned around, but whatever that was disappeared. It reminded him too much of the situation from last night, but this time it was even more unnerving. He swallowed fear deep down, and moved to the another room.
It was probably used to be some office, as he spotted a tripped over table, several chairs and parts of some whiteboard. Amongst it all there was a hole in the floor, which was not suspicious at all. It seemed like a secret entrance to some underground parts, but why would it be there and why would it be opened.. from other room. He had hoped he would find something help him understand what this place was supposed to be, but going into some basement where pink haze seemed even denser was the dumbest idea he ever had. But it was always an idea and since he was already here..
Examining the way down further, he noticed some old, rock-like staircase and some blinking light at the end of it. Vale inhaled sharply, and began his descent.
It seemed to go on forever, and he began debating going back up, but then he saw something at the very bottom of the stair and stopped instantly. He felt awful, nauseating feeling in is stomach as he realized it looked awfully like a human body, and he could feel cold sweat on his face. After few blinks, body seemed to disappear, but he was still frozen in place.
"This isn't real.. come on, you can do it." Vale tried to motivate himself to move further, and it was hard. But he eventually made it to the end, where mist seemed to engulf entire room.
He felt horribly lost, and the worst thing was that.. he tripped on something on the floor and fell hard down. His bag fell further from himself and its contents spilled on the floor. He raised his head and attempted on gathering his items, but.. it seemed like they just disappeared into the mist. He managed to get one PokeBall, thankfully, and he could tell it was Oshawott's.
But he needed to find the remaining ones, as fast as possible.
Valentine clutched his bag and PokeBall to himself as he ventured further into the room, looking desperately on the floor for his other belongings. But then he heard a noise, and a pink Pokemon began materializing before him. It was an Audino.
"Sylvie?" he asked feeling both hopeful and surprised, but one look at the Pokemon's face and he could tell that wasn't his Audino.
Hell, maybe it wasn't even an Audino at all.
It looked to angry and malicious to be one. Not waiting for it to attack, he brought out PokeBall with Oshawott and let him out. The battle was quick, as Caspian needed to use only one X-Scissor to deal with it. But they didn't even have a time to 'celebrate' because the opponent ran back into the thick haze and they heard more loud noises. It seemed like they came from all directions, and it was getting a bit overwhelming.

Maybe it was a bad idea to come here.. like at all. And he hadn't realize it just now, he had the feeling before. But stubbornly decided to go deeper and deeper, and now he was sort of trapped here, desperately looking for his Pokemons. He had Oshawott with him, which was good enough but he wasn't going to leave without the rest. Especially since there were wild Pokemons... or whatever the hell that actually was. An illusion? Some prank? He had no idea, but he assumed it was related to the mist.
It was dense, and it was getting hard to breathe under his 'mask', but he still had no idea if it was toxic or not. Although, by the time they spent in here, it should be known by now.. and he didn't feel wrong.
Was it a good sign or no, he had no idea.
The noise was awful, and Valentine didn't understand where it was coming from and why is Caspian not affected by it. His Pokemon was fully focused on their surroundings, ready to protect his trainer. Sudden, sharp noise came from the side and made Vale flinch and lose his balance. A dark purple Pokemon came running and leapt in his direction, but Oshawott put himself on its way and took the hit. Purrloin rolled with him on the ground, but before Caspian could use his shell, opponent hissed and hit him pretty hard with his claws.
Valentine's eyes widened as he saw his Pokemon being tossed aside, obviously fainted. Purrloin was at full health and its fur bristled, focusing its furious and hungry gaze on the man, who could just stare at it. But before it could attack, even louder noise came from behind it and actually managed to startle it. Pokemon screeched in pain and fear, and ran past him, into the mist and disappeared. Man looked at the noise source, his fear not disappearing when a pink Audino appeared through the mist. But it looked different than the last one, with softer features and face full of relief when it saw him. It was also holding a PokeBall.
Sylvie hummed and ran to his side, helping him to stand up. He hept staring at Oshawott's body, and then remembered that he still had his PokeBall. Without waiting any more time, he hid his poor Pokemon in it and then put it safely in the bag.
"Sylvie, where are the others?" he then turned towards Audino, who looked at him with worried eyes and shook her head and instead handed him her PokeBall. "Great.. But I'm happy to see you in one piece."
Sadly he was one less Pokemon to fight, which instantly worried him. Audino stood by his side, clutching his hand with her paw, as if trying to reassure him. It helped and grounded him a bit, but the worry was still gnawing him. Especially since he couldn't tell where the room ends and where it starts anymore.

His head began to hurt, from all the noise and amount of haze. Thankfully he had Audino with himself, so at least that was grounding him enough not to fall over and lie on the floor. But he was really not handling it very well, as every now and then he could see something more human shaped moving behind the pink 'wall' of smoke, and it was making him flinch or jump every time. And he could tell that Sylvie wasn't seeing it the way he did, because she never reacted like that.. even if they were looking the same direction. Were Pokemon just unaffected by it? Or maybe he was just completely imagining it?
Either option was pretty bad and he didn't like them.
He didn't even realize that he was shaking, until they came to a halt and now standing still he felt his legs tremble. He had a trouble standing still, and Sylvie had to help him, which wasn't extremely hard for a Pokemon her size. He stopped, because he saw something rolling in front of them and heard Pokemons fighting. Valentine hesitated going closed, but then he heard a familiar noise that could only come from a Marill. If they were in trouble, he couldn't just stand and do nothing.
After managing to come closer, he saw Mudkip rolling around with a Patrat (real or not, he couldn't tell at this point), while Marill crouched nearby, covering two PokeBalls. Patrat tackled Cliff, who then managed to successfully land a Rock Smash on its torso, sending it flying off himself.
"Nixie, Cliff!" he called them, surprising himself with how oddly his voice sounded. Almost like he was trying to speak underwater or.. something. Finding Ophelia turned out much harder than he wanted. Mostly due to his overwhelmed sensors and growing fatigue. After what he felt like went forever, they arrived at the end of the 'room', and thankfully found Woobat.
Unfortunately she wasn't alone - there was another Pokemon, which lied curled into a ball near her. Woobat was shaking and her fur was bristled, as if experiencing pain. The other Pokemon was pink and had weird, flowery markings on its round body. There was also pink smoke coming from its head.. how could such small Pokemon be a source of that much smoke?
Something wasn't right, and he knew it.
The smoke kept coming and coming from the pink creature, and then swirled wildly as if sensing his presence. Vale felt a shiver run down his spine like a jolt of electricity, and he took a tentative step back. His remaining Pokemons also looked unsure, to varied degrees. Mudkip seemed ready to fight, with Marill following closely. Audino opted to stay behind, and help her trainer stay upright. He opened his mouth to call for Ophelia, but then the pink Pokemon stirred and opened its eyes. They were bright, red and piercing, almost as if trying to look straight through him. It got up on its fours, making the haze swirl and wave, as it began changing colors - from dark pink to light pink and into the much darker tones again. He had no idea what that could mean, but he didn't want to wait and see.
Neither did his Pokemons, actually.
Cliff went first and attempted on shooting it with his Water Gun, but opponent just curled into a ball, with its body glowing strangely. Before Mudkip could use his attack again, it let out a pink colored wave at Cliff, knocking him back pretty hard. And before he could try and Water Gun it again, another wave hit him and this time sent him flying off. As Mudkip hit the ground, it was clear as day he couldn't stand up and fight anymore.
Vale only stared in disbelief when Marill screeched in fury at sight of her fallen friend, and ran straight into the pink Pokemon. It curled into a ball again, clearly planning something, but Marill had none of that - and shot it hard with Bubble Beam. The near never ending stream of bubbles swept the opponent away and made it disappear into the mist. Valentine took the time to put Cliff into his PokeBall, and then forced his body to run towards Ophelia.
She was awake and chirped weakly sensing him, but she was too weak to fly on her own. Thankfully, her PokeBall was right under her, so he put her back in. He then realized that he had.. trouble getting up, and instead fell on his side. Marill and Audino rushed to him and together attempted on helping him got up.
It was hard, even if he wasn't the heaviest or tallest man, but eventually he got on his foot. His body was still shaking and his head hurt from the noise and visuals, but.. at least he could still walk.
He really wanted to get out of here.

Valentine could swore he was walking in circles and making no progress. Everything was covered in pink haze, and he could barely see what was in front of him. Audino was on his left, while Marill on his right and that was everything he could see. The buzzing was getting worse and his head felt heavy. If it wasn't for his Pokemons, he would likely collapse and stay on the floor a while ago. But he had to keep going, or maybe die trying. If not for himself, then for his Pokemons.
After what felt like eternity, they arrived at the base of stairs that led up, but Vale instead of approaching it, stopped abruptly.
Right at the base of the stairs, was a human body. It lied as if the fall was sudden and their neck was awkwardly crooked as if it broke from the impact. Nausea began raising in his stomach, as he realized how familiar this sight was and that the person looked too much like Amber. Same college security guard outfit, same messy hair, the pose and expression was exactly the same too. He felt something in his stomach and throat tighten, as he had trouble breathing too. It felt far too real, but it shouldn't be possible. Especially since his Pokemons weren't reacting to anything he was seeing. It must been some trick, but why him?
His eyes widened though, when the body started moving. First legs began twitching, then arms and then.. it blinked at him. He opened his mouth in pure shock, when it managed to roll around and got up on its feet. But it still looked and moved stiff like a corpse, with its head uncomfortably crooked. Vale was completely frozen in his place, feeling suddenly cold and the surrounding noise grew louder. He couldn't hear his own breathing, his Pokemons or even steps, and instead he heard most annoying and painful buzzing.
"You- you are dead! You are fucking dead!" he cried as the noise grew stronger and he couldn't take his eyes off the woman who was approaching him slowly. "G- get away from me!"
Phantom didn't stop on its track. Her arms were outstretched towards him, while her head stayed the same, unnaturally crooked state. Blank eyes looking right at him, as if trying to stare right thorough his soul and more.
"Don't be shy. Come give your mom a kiss." the illusion said, with eeriengly human voice as she advanced. He could barely see or think straight anymore.
It was making him so uncomfortable, he felt like he might actually puke and then.. he screamed. It startled the illusion and his Pokemons too, but he still couldn't move an inch back or forward.
The phantom suddenly came to a halt, and something shifted in its look. "Amber" began dissolving into nothing but part of the surrounding mist, merging with the rest. And from the place where it was standing, emerged a big, pink-purple Pokemon. It looked closely to the last one, but much bigger and probably much stronger. It had closed eyes and levitated above the ground, which wasn't the strangest. The amount of smoke coming from its head was, but also it's color - it was very dark pink, with tints of black among it. It must been the actual source, not the smaller creature.
Vale felt like he may as well just fall over and die right here and right now, but something about the Pokemon made him even more uneasy. It was clearly messing with him, and he had no idea.. why. His Pokemons must had grew tired of its plays, because Marill jumped right in to fight it.
That was a mistake.
Pokemon made a loud, ear piercing noise and shoot a huge, psychic wave at Nixie. It took her out instantly, tossing her pretty far and hard onto the ground. Valentine barely registered what the hell had happened, until the big Pokemon turned towards him again.
It was bad. Very, very bad. The Pokemon was bigger and can literally one-shot every one of his Pokemons. And he had only Audino left, who instead defiantly went in front of him and raised her paws as if wanting to cover him. Sylvie made a sharp and angry noise, indicating that she won't let the purple Pokemon hurt him more. She them made another noise, this time it was Disarming Voice, which forced the creature to fly back, clearly not expecting such strength.
Seeing Audino and sensing her inner strength, opponent attempted on putting her to sleep with Hypnosis. This turned out however to be actually a bad idea - Sylvie managed to swiftly avoid the psychic rings, and then took her chance to use Disarming Voice again. It hit her opponent hard, making them screech and cover in pain. The smoke coming from it began waving and swirling in chaotic manner, turning from dark pink to black in mere seconds, completely engulfing the room with nothing but blackness.
The continuous screeching made Valentine's head hurt even more, making his vision darken as well and forcing him to his knees. He could feel Audino tugging his jacket, as if trying to help him and keep him conscious, but with no avail - he then collapsed on his side, and after the noise began quieting down.
But he fainted, and everything went dark.

Frankly, Vale had no idea how long he was unconscious. His mind was completely blank, and his head was still buzzing, but after a while his senses began returning.
First thing he realized was that, he was still in the open. The second, that he was lying on.. some kind of material, and not just ground. And the third.. that something was lying right on his arm. All three stimuli made him open one of his eyes, and look hazily over his surroundings.
He was in some makeshift camp, still away from the city. He couldn't tell if it was still Dreamyard or not, but.. hopefully he was away from the ruins. Looking down at his arm, he spotted Oshawott curled into a ball and leaning on him. It made him blink and hesitantly open his second eye. It was still bright, but far later than when he first arrived here for sure. As he continued looking around, he spotted his bag lying nearby, with Audino tending Marill. He noticed also another bag, and that there was another Pokemon - he hazily recognized it as a Fennekin, the Kalos fire starter.
What was it doing here, of all places?
Valentine groaned quietly as he attempted on getting up.. or at least sitting, if not standing. He then realized he was lying on some sleeping-bag. And he was so damn sure it wasn't his.
Thankfully his Pokemons noticed that he had awakened, and both rushed to his side. Caspian also had awakened, and grabbed his arm tightly. Poor thing must been also stressed out from this experience. Sylvie put her paw on his cheek and rubbed it in comforting manner, while Nixie went under his other arm, mimicking Oshawott. Vale sighed but cracked a weak smile, seeing his team at least in one piece. Fennekin noticed him too, but then got up and ran into the bushes. He had no damn idea what that meant or whose this Pokemon was, but his head still hurt too much to question everything.
He managed to keep himself sitting, while Audino got him a bottle of water - and that was a great idea, because his mouth and throat were all dry. Not to mention the lasting effects of intense nausea..
After a while, however, the Fennekin had returned - and he wasn't alone. After him, from the bushes appeared a young man with messy blond hair and equally messy outfit. There were branches and leaves sticking from there and there, but the weirdest part about it was that.. above him he spotted his own Woobat. Ophelia flew to him and nuzzled his face with a happy chirp, before landing on his lap. She also had several leaves on her fur and seemed like she was just fighting something, but instead on her, Valentine focused on the stranger.
"Thanks gods you are awake! I was getting worried the Musharna knocked you down too hard!" the stranger said, with oddly cheerful tone and sat down nearby.
"Wh- Who the hell are you?" Vale blinked in confusion, not even bothering getting suspicious of this man even being here and tending him in the first place. "Where are we?"
"We are still on the Dreamyard. Just a bit further away from the ruins. Don't worry, Musharna don't really pull the trick on the same person twice." he explained next to nothing and rummaged through his bag before answering the first question. "Oh, and I'm Tristan. Here, you must be hungry."
Well, he was, but that was still confusing as hell. He tentatively took the half of a sandwich from Tristan. "Thanks.. you. I guess. I still have a lot of questions.."
"Well, I figured. Locals usually know not to wander too deep into the ruins like that, so I'm assuming you must be new here. It's a rookie mistake, really, and-" before he could continue, Vale cut him off with sharp hand gesture.
"Listen, if you are going to speak so much, could you give me some painkillers first? My head feels like it's going to explode." he said with a tired voice, between eating.
"Oh! Yes, of course. I forgot, that this happen." he again rummaged through his bag, in which Vale noticed was a huge mess of various items, and then handed him a nearly packed painkillers. "There, that should help."
"Thanks you." Valentine sighed, as he checked the medicine. It was one of the stronger pills, that started working after a while and were advised to eat something before them. He took one, and then lied down again, to rest his head and back a bit.
It seemed like the day was going to be quite long.

"Alright. How did you even found me?" after a pause, Vale started, looking as the other man. His eyes itched a bit, and he knew it was due to his contacts, but he was in no way to take them out now. "I swear I was in some basement with that big Pokemon standing my way."
"Weeell..." his speaker said, rubbing back of his neck a bit awkwardly. "The thing is, you weren't in any basement. I just found you lying on the ground of one the ruined offices."
He blinked in disbelief. He could swore he walked down some stairs and ended up in a place without an exit. "H- How? I saw a way down, and light flickering and I know I went down.. somewhere."
"That's actually Musharna's fault. By the time you get into the office, she must had spotted you. And.. well.. you probably spent too much time in the Dream Mist already." Tristan explained, shooting him an apologetic smile. "Don't feel too bad about yourself, it take very little time for it to start working. Whatever you saw, was just a dream, of some kind. Or.. a nightmare, I think. The mist was dark, and it only brings horrors."
Now that explained a lot actually. Vale sighed and rubbed his face, feeling both relieved that it wasn't real but also horribly confused.
"Okay, I.. get it. But what was happening to my Pokemons, then? I saw them fighting, was this also a dream?" he asked, looking at his Pokemons. He saw the fight and get hurt, so could that be not real too?
"Well, yes and no. When I found you, I found them defending your body from various wild Pokemons. And Musharna, but they fought her last." blonde man explained the best he could, but also seemed a bit confused. "If you saw them fighting in the Dream World, then.. I don't really know, actually. It's not unusual for Musharna to mix up and show sleeping people what is happening in the awake world, but I don't know how."
Valentine only nodded and took a sip of his water. It made the image a bit cleared in his mind, even if the vision still.. shook him. Pretty badly, mind you. He tried to erase the illusion of Amber walking at him, how stiffly she moved and how horribly broken her neck was, but with no avail. He shuddered, and then looked at Tristan. He looked like he wanted to tell him something."Sorry, I got lost in thoughts. What did you say?"
"I asked what's your name, and where you from? I can't tell if you are from Unova or not, because you don't look like." he said, smiling slightly. It was natural, kind smile, that Vale sometimes thinks he can do.
"Oh, right. Valentine. Or Vale for short. And I'm not, I'm Kalosian." he said as he stretched and gasped as he heard a crack from his joints. "I see you have a Fennekin, are you from Kalos too?"
"Oh, actually yes! I grew up in Kalos, but I moved with my mother to Unova few months ago." Tristan explained, his face dropping for a moment as if remembered something unpleasant, before returning to his more natural, cheerful self. "I used to work in one of the restaurants, but our new boss is a dick, and I left."
"That's fair." Vale shrugged, finishing drinking and lying straight on his back. He would prefer a normal bed, but a sleeping-bag was second best thing in this situation. At least until his head feels better.
"I'm still curious though.. how did you even found me? It's pretty far from the city." he asked finally, since it's been bothering him a bit. His speaker blinked, slightly embarrassed.
"You see.. I have a Munna, and we are visiting the Dreamyard every few days. She sensed that something was happening, and then we heard screaming and Pokemons fighting. When we get there, we saw your Audino and Woobat trying to wake you up, while other Pokemons were lying exhausted from battling." Tristan explained, showing him a funny looking and pink PokeBall. "Poppy communicated with Musharna to let go, while I took you away from the ruins. I tend to wander off and spend night away from the city, so I had my sleeping-bag with myself and all. We got your Pokemons soon after, and.. now we are here."
Valentine listened to him, and looked at Sylvie for confirmation. She nodded and patted gently his forehead, as if telling him to stop worrying so much and rest.
He wanted to, but then they heard bushes rustle, and a pair of cat ears poked out. Fennekin barked angrily as if trying to scare it off, but Purrloin still managed to jump out and.. was instantly met with Marill. She got hit by its claws, but then retaliated hard with her own Bubble Beam. Stream of bubbles made the cat ran away with a screech, visibly uncomfortable from all the wetness. After that, Nixie returned with a victorious grin on her muzzle. Well at least someone was having fun.

After a while, the painkillers started working and Vale regained some clarity in his mind and it stopped buzzing like crazy. His 'companion' was eating the other half of the sandwich, while petting his Fennekin. Vale's own Pokemons stayed close to him, and Audino helped Woobat remove the leaves and branches off her fur. Everything seemed to get back to normal.
"Tell me, how long I have been unconscious?" he asked finally, getting back to sitting position. His head wasn't as heavy anymore, and could sit upright just fine.
"Around two hours.. maybe a little bit more." Tristan replied, looking up at him through his food. "That's an average time though, don't worry. Some people stay like that for much longer."
"Lovely." he mumbled as a reply, but then raised his arms for a good stretch. He felt a bit tense and numb from all the lying motionless, and he really wanted to leave. "I think I'm ready to return to the city. You?"
"Oh, that's alright. I don't really have much to do here anymore, anyways." blonde-haired man replied with a smile, and then got up to help him. Valentine blinked, but didn't complain - he still felt a bit funny from the experience, so some help in standing up would be nice. Tristan wasn't must taller than him, but with enough determination, that worked.
"Thanks you again." he said as he began shaking off the dirt and leaves off himself, and got his bag from Sylvie.
"No problem!" his speaker got his own belongings and together they began walking towards the Striaton.
It was a bit far from the city, but Vale was still tired and didn't really want to talk anymore. Tristan accepted it quite well, and was instead watching their surroundings and humming. Something rustled in front of them, but before his Fennekin reacted, Nixie shoot her Bubble Beam right into it, scaring some wild Pokemon right away. Fire fox looked at her slightly irritated, to which she reacted with a wide grin.
At least they were getting to the city.

Duchess scoffed indignantly. "Why would I do that?"
"Dana came here for...that." Tonya was uneasy with insisting the thing that had hurt Dana was something she could possibly want.
"You sound as sure about keeping it as I do." Duchess countered, letting out a spiteful hiss at Munna.
Tonya probably should have consulted with Mannchen, but the Audino was standing over Dana in hopes of treating her of her sudden blackout. She bit down on a spare Pokeball and there Munna went. Tonya smiled, pleased with herself when the ball shook a few times and then quieted. "This is easy!" Called the Tepig with glee. "We could be trainers all by ourselves! Dana wouldn't have to get in trouble anymore"
Duchess opened her mouth to call Tonya an idiot, then stopped. Perhaps she wasn't so stupid, maybe they could be trainers. "...One day." The Meowth murmured to herself. For now, Dana needed to wake up. Duchess and Tonya moved over to Mannchen to help him rouse their trainer. Brigitte remained aloft in the hall, searching out the thing that was hunting them. She could feel it, but she couldn't find it!
Meanwhile, a malevolent single eye peered down at Brigitte from a corner of the ceiling. There was a faint, echoing giggle before the creature disappeared into the dark behind it and moved along on its quest to explore this Dreamyard and the things calling it home.
