Up on the next floor, it is truly impossible to describe what it looks like. Every now and then, there's a flash of a normal-looking room, but then just as quickly, it transforms into an underwater cave, the peak of a mountain, or an ancient dungeon. The illusions stand for a few seconds before flickering to something completely different. The air is thick with a sense of disorientation, as the walls, floors, and ceilings shift seamlessly from one impossible environment to another. One moment you feel the chill of an icy mountaintop, and the next, the pressure of deep ocean water. The sensory overload is dizzying, making it hard to keep your bearings. Years ago, there were tales of a powerful Zoroark. She was an expert at illusions, able to fool even the keenest eye with her deceptions. She sometimes used her power for good, other times for evil, whatever struck her fancy. It is whispered that she once started a war among the Pokémon gods by tricking each into thinking that another had insulted it. The gods fought among themselves, causing devastation on earth. However, the Zoroark's illusion fell apart in the simplest of follies: she appeared under the disguise of one of the Pokémon gods while that god was fighting another. It wasn't long before the war ceased, and the Zoroark was captured and held for punishment for her deeds. This instability in appearance reflects the turmoil and resentment of the unwilling master of this floor. Once a master illusionist, this Zoroark is now trapped in this tower, banished from all realms but this single floor. She is none too pleased with her eternal fate. Her intricate illusions serve to drive off intruders, creating an ever-shifting maze of bewildering sights and sensations. Rarely, she will enter the fight herself, her mischievous spirit belying her lethal capabilities. She should not be taken lightly, for beneath her playful tricks lies a deep-seated anger and a formidable opponent. The atmosphere is charged with her presence, a mix of sorrow and defiance, as she wields her illusions with the same mastery she once used to deceive the gods themselves. When he stepped through the doorway, he realized immediately how strange this place was; even compared to the other floors. It was a constantly changing scene. One moment it could be a city, the next a forest, the next a cave. It was quite 'trippy'. Julian walked further into the floor and wondered to himself what he would be up against here.
It may have taken a while, but Julian finally realized who he was going to use the final Revival Herb on. Calling out Quagsire, he made the unconscious Pokemon eat the herb, and then sprayed him with enough Potion to restore his health entirely. He made sure everyone else was fully healed as well. On top of that, he rearranged his party a bit to make up for his unconscious party members.
The scene changed yet again, a strangely familiar tunnel. It took him a moment to place it. Suddenly, he realized that this was the Dragon Cave. There were even Dragon Pokemon wondering around, though the powerful wind was absent. Hey, he recognized this Pokemon. He almost caught one while he was back in the cave. It was a Deino. Just like when he was in the cave, this Deino seemed accustomed to it's environment. Deino charged, but Quagsire whipped up a powerful Blizzard attack that stopped it in it's tracks.
He wondered who would be next, what they would see.

With Absol unable to react, and Julian suddenly able to see, Noctowl seared through the air and crash-landed into Absol. The attack woke him up, and being in close proximity Absol decided to bite down on Noctowl. Noctowl reacted by causing an Uproar directly next to Absol's head which drove him into unconsciousness. Julian tossed out a Pokeball, but the Pokemon broke out. Tossing out a second, it shook and hesitated, as if it weren't going to work, but then the center flashed and the Pokeball sealed. He did it, he captured the Absol after a fierce battle.
Julian healed Noctowl back to full health and waited for their next challenge.

Blinking while suddenly accosted by bright sunlight, they were in a field. Faint wind blew the grass, but Julian felt nothing. It was strange, as if it were all an illusion. A flock of Murkrow were flying by, and one of them decided to investigate the creatures who had appeared out of nowhere. Quagsire didn't like them showing up out of nowhere though, and used a Blizzard attack. Mukrow didn't stand a chance. Already, Julian loved this floor. He was sure it held hidden danger, but it was amazing. You never knew where you would find yourself next.

When the scene changed again, it was still bright, but in a different way. They were back on the cracked earth of that lava-enveloped land. Julian didn't like it here, but at least it wasn't hot. At least the smoke wasn't bothering him. He was beginning to understand the pattern. Not able to guess what would be next, but that they weren't really there. But then, how did that explain the Pokemon? Were they being pulled from previous floors to face these intruders? He didn't know for sure. A nearly familiar face met him next. It was a Houndour. As interesting as it was to meet his second Houndour, Julian knew what had to happen. So did Quagsire. Without hesitation, Quagsire launched a Scald attack. The boiling hot water hit the Fire-Type directly, but it was still standing and used Bite. If it hurt Quagsire, his blank face didn't show it. He was point blank now, though, and used a second Scald attack directly into Houndour's face. That was enough to force Houndour to let go, and fall over into unconsciousness. Julian realized there must not be a pattern when he found himself back in that same dark room. Another Absol confronted him, and he hesitated to send Noctowl back into battle. So, he sent in Quagsire. Quagsire stared his enemy down before using Blizzard attack. It didn't freeze the enemy like Julian might have hoped, and Absol bit down hard.
Quagsire, again, showed no pain when he was bitten. He whipped up a second Blizzard and made sort work of his enemy. Again, Julian made sure his Pokemon and friend was fully healed before they continued, but he was very proud of Quagsire and how far he'd come as well. He was proud of all of his Pokemon.

They were suddenly back in the desert, blinking from the sudden light yet again. A Cacnea greeted them, but Quagsire was ready. A quick Blizzard shut the spiked Pokemon down before it could even ready a defense. Having beaten the Pokemon so easily, Julian was hesitant to capture it. Cacnea had always been an interesting Pokemon to him though, so he decided he might as well. He tossed out an empty Pokeball and it sealed without even shaking; another critical capture.
Adding a Cacnea to his team was interesting. He was going to have to study the Pokemon more closely when he wasn't in such a dangerous place. There were so many Pokemon in these places that he had caught, and held a special interest in, but he could only use six. Those that he'd caught early on were special to him and he didn't plan on switching them out.

Looking around, Julian realized they were back on the floor with all of the Psychic-Type Pokemon. He found himself secretly hoping... but no, he still couldn't hear a thing. He could, however, see the Inkay floating not far away. Quagsire was currently his go-to Pokemon here, and this battle wasn't any different. A Blizzard picked up, egged on by Quagsire and threatening to blow it out of the sky.
Instead, it froze there in a giant block of ice. Quagsire kept the Blizzard active until there was no chance the Pokemon could be fighting-fit. So they left it there, frozen in a block of ice, until the scene changed around them.

And just like magic, they were back in the volcanic wasteland. Fire erupted around them, but Julian felt no heat. It was quite strange, like being able to explore the world from the safety of a bubble. Polar opposites; danger and
safety all wrapped up into one.
He honestly wasn't surprised to find another Houndour waiting for them. He growled at Quagsire, but Quagsire wouldn't be intimidated. He used Scald and shot a stream of boiling hot water at Houndour. Just like the last one, it tried to bite Quagsire. The Pokemon stared at Houndour blankly before, just like the first time, spraying this Houndour in the face with a second blast of steaming water. Houndour couldn't withstand the attack and was washed away. They turned and kept walking, wondering what they would find next. He made sure to heal his Pokemon back to full health yet again.

Then they were back in the desert. Another Cacnea awaited them, and Quagsire was waiting for it. Cacnea tried to attack, but the sudden Blizzard caught it off guard and sent it rolling head over heels away from them. Julian decided against capturing this one, choosing to give Quagsire the experience. All of this battling had to be good for his leveling up. Before long, Julian doubted anyone would be able to beat his Quagsire.
Another Pokemon down, Julian and Quagsire kept walking as the scenery around them began to change. Julian stretched, beginning to grow accustomed to this place. He was getting comfortable, maybe even foolishly relaxed. It could come back to bite him in the ass, but he was confident that his Pokemon were powerful enough to face any threat.

Back in the dark room, it was suddenly a new Pokemon that met them. One Julian had never seen or heard of before. Without introductions, the battle was on. Purrloin swiped her deadly looking claws at Quagsire, but Quagsire's tough skin reflected them. Quagsire then turned sharply, slamming his tail into the cat and sending it stumbling back. It retaliated with another scratch attack, but it didn't realize that being this close to Quagsire was a bad idea. A Blizzard Attack temporarily blinded the wild Pokemon and made it stumble back a couple of paces.
That was when Quagsire used Scald. The steaming hot water jet hit Purrloin and left the Pokemon unable to battle. Julian and Quagsire had won.

The exact moment that Julian captured the Zorua, everything changed for the worse. He was in a nightmarish land of what seemed to be hellfire and death. What could possibly be going on now? The Pokemon that confronted them was breathing heavily from her anger, glaring at Julian. If looks could kill, Julian would be dead then and there. Julian swapped one more Pokemon from his party with a Pokemon he caught and sent out his new Pokeball. Since the new Pokemon looked very similar to the attacking Pokemon, he figured this was the best way to shake it up.
Zoroark used Dark Pulse, hitting the Zorua. Julian's Pokemon flinched. "That will teach you not to be so stupid." She growled out. "I don't want to hurt you anymore." And with that, Zoroark used Roar. Zorua was forced back into her Pokeball, and Noctowl was pulled out by force. Zoroark used another Dark Pulse attack, but Noctowl refused to take it lying down and not a second after the Dark-Type attack hit, Noctowl used Uproar. As impressive as it was, Zoroark used Dark Pulse for a third time and knocked the owl out. Julian had to recall him and deal with the loss.
Julian sent out Zorua again. It had pissed the enemy off the first time, and a pissed off enemy was a sloppy enemy. Zoroark used Shadow Ball this time, hitting the younger version of herself directly. "No more! You don't get to control me anymore." And with that, Zorua attacked back with Fury Swipes. One, two, three swipes of her claws made direct contact. Zoroark hadn't expected it, and that was the most likely reason they managed to hit. "So shut up and fight."
Zoroark narrowed her eyes. "I told you to back off so you could stay safe. If you're throwing yourself in with them, then you will share their fate. This is your last chance." Zoroark used Roar again, sending Zorua back a second time. This time, Litwick was forced out. Zoroark used Focus Blast, trying to hit the unfamiliar Pokemon with a Fighting-Type move. What he didn't realize was that this next enemy Pokemon happened to be a ghost. The tiny candle used Confuse Ray, and Zoroark was confused.
Trying Focus Blast again, and failing again, Zoroark got the picture. "You're a spirit." She growled out. Rather than responding, Litwick used Will-O-Wisp and burned the threat. The burn flared up. Zoroark retaliated by firing off another Dark Pulse attack, and Litwick returned with Flame Burst. The burn flared up a second time. One more Dark Pulse took Litwick out of the battle. Julian had to recall his next fainted Pokemon, and their enemy looked like she had barely broken a sweat. The burn flared up, and Zoroark suddenly and for the first time seemed a bit shaken.
If that was the case, then Julian knew just how to keep the battle going in his direction. He sent Zorua out into battle again. Zoroark roared out in anger, trying to fire an attack, but it detonated in her own face. Zorua didn't let up, swiping her enemy with her deadly claws again. That was when Zoroark's burn erupted again. Firing yet another Dark Pulse, Zoroark grinned as she saw Zorua flinch. "Just as weak as ever. You never did stand a chance against m..." She was cut off by her burn acting up again. Pissed off, she fired a Focus Blast attack. She had lost her temper, and knocked her former friend out.
Julian sent out Quagsire. Zoroark launched a Dark Pulse attack before Quagsire even fully materialized, and it hit the moment the Water-Type was brought fully onto the battlefield. Needless to say, Quagsire wasn't happy about this. He whipped up a ferocious Blizzard that sent Zoroark sprawling out, dazed. She struggled back to one knee, but fell over again unable to battle. He collected the dropped items, recalled his Pokemon, and assumed he was waiting for another doorway of some sort.

He practically dove through the next portal, before coming back to the land of constantly changing surroundings. He called all his hounds out; their enhanced senses would be able to detect if something were coming. Little did he expect the Lillipup to evolve the first time he called him out. The glowing light quickly faded, and a larger dog sat in the puppy's place. He must have been hatched for quite some time if he were ready to evolve already. One moment it was the abandoned city, the next the desert, before suddenly being replaced with the undersea Temple. He held out his hand, breath held, to see if another portal would open.

Holding out his hand didn't work to summon another portal, so he guessed he was stuck here for now. He could pass the time easily when he encountered another wild Pokemon. It was a small Pokemon, but he knew he had to battle the Pokemon. He wanted to get stronger so he could face whatever threat was really going to rear it's face now. He sent out Quilava, who didn't hesitate to launch a Fire Blast attack. It detonated on contact, and out of the smoke came Scraggy who struck back just as hard. Quilava was stunned. When Scraggy came in for yet another attack, Quilava used Fire Blast point-blank. It was enough to secure the victory for Julian and Quilava.

The last thing Julian expected was another Trainer to appear. He came through a portal similar to the ones Julian had been making. "Oh, another Trainer! I made it through these floors with no trouble." He was y and arrogant. "I guess I have to prove myself worthy by defeating you." And with that, he sent out a Meganium. Quilava was already out, so Julian decided to use him. Meganium launched a blizzard of razor-sharp leaves that cut Quilava and cut Julian's clothes. Quilava used Fire Blast. The attack burned up all the leaves and hit Meganium directly. "No way, that's not a move a weak little Quilava can learn!" He was realizing something; this battle might not have been a great idea after all. Meganium tried to use Petal Dance again, but Quilava knew now that his Fire Blast attack was a great way to counter it. Meganium had been beaten.
"No, Meganium!" He recalled his Starter Pokemon. "This isn't over yet! If you've got Fire, then I'll use Water!" And with that, he sent out a Goldeen. Julian grinned darkly. If the other Trainer was stunned before, it was going to be much worse here in a moment. After Goldeen used Peck, Quilava began to run at the fish. He began to glow, and then launched at his enemy with electricity surrounding his body entirely. Goldeen couldn't withstand the Electric-Type attack, and fainted. "Noooo!"

(Absol is defeated, this is for story-line purposes and nothing more) Absol dove through the Fire-Blast attack, Julian had never seen anything like it. Absol thrust it's head, and the blade on it's head, towards Quilava's face. Quilava ducked, but Absol wouldn't let up. It kept swinging over and over, trying to hit Quilava until finally the Fire-Type was done running and dodging and avoiding these attacks. He stood up on his hind legs, using both front paws to grab Absol's blade. He began to glow, and grow larger and larger until Typhlosion had taken his place. Was it finally happening? Was the little Cyndaquil he'd chosen finally evolving into his most powerful form? This was beyond intense. With his new size and strength, Typhlosion threw Absol across the room. Suddenly much more intimidated, Absol turned and ran.

Kira blinked her eyes open, but they were no longer in a graveyard. She had no idea what happened since her mind had been taken over, so the entire battle and narrow escape had taken place without her knowing about it. Little did she know that she was only a few minutes away from joining the hundred or so trapped souls inside of the Spiritomb. Thankfully, Apollo, Thomas, and... wait, seriously, a Pirate?! Well, at least she'd been saved - she couldn't be super picky about how or by who.
Suddenly, the scene changed from the sunlight that had woken her to a light snowfall on a field at the base of a mountain. It would have been extremely difficult for the others not to have noticed, but still she spoke up. "G..." She had to clear her throat. "Guys, I think we broke the Tower..." Normally, with snow falling to the ground like this, one would expect Ice-Type Pokemon. Similarly, in a field like this, one would expect basic Grass- or Normal-Type Pokemon. When a Purrloin grew curious and approached them, Kira had to believe that the Pokemon that appeared around here were broken too. It seemed as if the Tower were a computer that was going through serious problems with it's wiring. Wait... could that be a possibility? She was sure stranger things had happened.
She pushed her way free of Apollo, thanking him forth helping her before brushing off her clothes. "Dratini!" She called out, and the Wyrmling looked up from it's position dd around Lucy's shoulders. "Get rid of that cat." Purrloin heard this, and jumped into an attack - knocking Dratini away from Lucy and to the ground. Lucy hadn't reacted in enough time, but Dratini was quick to retaliate with a massive crashing of Thunder Attack falling from the cloudy skies. Purrloin struggled to fight back, but it couldn't withstand a second bolt of lightning. This should have given the Pirate a clue as to just how they had made it this far with young Pokemon, even if Kira knew nothing about his confusion and curiosities. Kira stumbled, and fell to one knee, but managed to stay mostly upright. Apparently she was still weak from that spiritual attack. TL;DR

Any questions about Phineas' true existence were no longer a thing when Thomas saw the Trainer had gone on to the next floor with them. He was glad to see that Kira was safe and sound, once more awake, but there was something he had to do. "Hey, look..." He began, approaching the Pirate. Surprisingly, it seemed that Thomas was once more back to his quiet, neutral self. Looking at him now, there was no way to tell he'd been so drastically unusual only a few minutes before. "... sorry I doubted you." He finished simply, holding out his hand in a polite fashion.
Meanwhile, Lady had started looking around at their surroundings. Her Trainer and his three companions were all distracted talking among themselves and battling wild Pokemon, she knew she wouldn't be missed - not that she was going far. Before long, she found a bird Pokemon hopping around, seemingly ignoring the strange group of intruders it was struggling to fly. It's wings were flapping uselessly, and it seemed sad that it couldn't get into the air. "What are you doing?" Lady asked the Vullaby. It turned around quickly, clearly caught off guard, instinctively using Feint Attack - a move it had very recently learned.
Lady was very unhappy that she had been hit, deciding to attack the wild bird back. She thought it had attacked on purpose. They exchanged attacks; Feint Attack, her Disarming Voice, Gust, another Disarming Voice, and finally the bird was out of the battle. It wasn't able to hold it's ground, so it went rolling and rolling away.

Apollo continued into the new environment, rushing away from what might be following them, trying to attach themselves to them. He remembered back in the hotel, the entire band had to be blessed afterwards to ensure the man was not attached to the ladies he attacked, or anyone else. Which was almost humorous and worrisome when Alec and Jinx were being blessed. If they survive the challenge, Apollo was planning on getting his hands on some holy water to splash on everyone. Just in case. Apollo set Kira down in the snow, as Anthony floated behind them with Teddy holding on to him and standing on what would be the balloon weight, and set him down as well. Apollo stayed near the ground with Kira, but his attention was on the surrounding area... A snowy mountain basin? Why would be be around ice again... Apollo had started to shiver and reached for his sweater in his pack as Kira commented on the sheer oddity of the new challenge. "Maybe the master ran out of ideas." Apollo commented as he looked around for some clue as to what they would be facing. "Or there's no distinct habitat for these Pokemon." Anthony commented as he leered around himself. However, on the other side of Apollo, Clefairy had stowed away the flute for later reasoning. But she appeared to be very uncomfortable in the new challenge, as her eyes darted around the surrounding field, seemingly looking for something.
The battles were quick to pick up, just like on the rest of the challenges, as Apollo watched Kira closely. After Kira's battle, she collapsed making Apollo rush to her side, and help her up. In doing so, he didn't notice the dark clouds staying from the thunder Dratini brought forth, and began to grow even darker. Apollo wrapped Kira's arm around his mid torso, so she could hold on for strength. Apollo walked her over to their new companion. "Kira, this is Phineas, he helped us save you. Even after we were skeptical of him for being the hot pirate he is." Apollo introduced her to him, and inadvertently he introduced her. As they spoke, winds slowly began to grow, as the sky grew darker and darker, almost a greenish gray color. Suddenly the snow around the melted away immediately, as the mountain that towered over them began to crumble away and invert back into the ground. The field seemed to expand around them, seemingly to go on for miles, as the grass grew out and turned into tan knee high stocks rather then the grass it once was. They were now out in the country... only the dark skies let out a rumble of thunder before unleashing the rain as the winds grew much stronger with the missing mountain to block it. Apollo held out an arm as he looked around in awe as the mountain crumbled away as the biome completely changed. "Whoah, What is going on?" Apollo asked as he held his hand over his head trying to block out some rain from his eyes, as Teddy tried to hold onto Anthony in the winds. As he spoke and waited for a response, a funnel cloud seemed to form in the skies in the distance. He had no time to decide which would be the lesser of two evils, or even being trapped in that cemetery for the rest of his days, almost as though he was supposed to be there in the first place, but with his Pokemon close, and Bade trying to give him confidence behind his eyes, Finn chanced his fate, as he always did, rushing through the portal that had opened before them. There was a moment of darkness, and he could swear in that instance that he felt himself go cold with the icy breath of death upon his skin, but he blinked only once before sunlight flooded his eyes, and he heard a crunch beneath the soles of his boots. The cold was not the phantom pain consuming him, or the kiss of death, but in fact a flurry of snow that was starting to stir around them as he looked with Vitus and his Pokemon at their surroundings. They were surrounded by snow, but it was bright outside as though they were in the middle of the day, and no trees or forest surrounded them, but looking out into the distance, there was nothing for miles but mountain and snow scapes. He could fathom that the tower master might not take well to their new alliances and had forced them backwards to try and tear them apart, recalling the blizzard and endless night that the Froslass had forced upon them, but for the moment his wonderings were halted at the conversation that was starting to pick up around them, between Apollo, Thomas, and the girl Kira. The girl had started to come to after being taken by the Spiritomb still for unknown reasons, but it was good to see that they hadn’t lost a life among them, a weight that both he and Bade wouldn’t be able to bear. Apollo was tending to her, making sure that she was steady enough, when Finn’s green eyes cast down to the younger Thomas who was approaching him. As if another switch had gone off in his head or otherwise, he was completely calm and wasn’t rambling about saving the day or sacrificing himself by means that he wasn’t aware of. Instead, he was offering a genuine apology to the accusations he had thrown in the cemetery, offering a hand in both gratitude and surrender. Despite the cold that was starting to get to him from the snow that was falling around them, Finn nodded and offered a hand back, knowing that should they need to ban together for their lives come their final challenge, solidarity between them all was necessary.
”Aye mate, you were only following your gut. That’s a good mark of any man worth his salt, standing up for what they believe in, no matter the opposition,” Finn offered in response, taking the offered handshake in kind to seal their alliance among them. If he knew them well enough to call them friends rather than allies, Finn would almost feel guilty for his blatant lie to their accusations, but he couldn’t bring himself to admit what he was to anyone else, as though that admittance would make it real, something that he couldn’t take back. Instead, he would only focus on the necessity on getting out of these challenges with their lives, knowing that he might never see these three again, the guilt would fade eventually.
Archimedes stood beside Vitus, the two amphibians getting rather uncomfortable in the relentless cold that they had suddenly found themselves in, and Pintel fluffed his feathers against the snow on Finn’s shoulder as his focus was drawn from Thomas. A battle with a small Dratini and a Purrloin had taken place, and then Apollo was leading the girl Kira towards him, offering an introduction between them. Finn, as well as his Pokemon, could only offer a roll of their eyes at Apollo’s commentary on Finn’s appearance as he continued to shower him with compliments. Finn was no stranger to courting and being fawned over with the many port cities that he visited, all the many faces that he’d met in his travels, but never had he been fawned over by a male. And the more that Apollo continued in his comments, the more Finn began to think that it really wasn’t just how open and social he was, but that he actually was that effeminate. Finn, of course, didn’t have anything against sexuality, gender, or otherwise, but he only hoped that they would remain occupied enough here to not have time to turn Apollo’s affections away.
”I didn’t know you were boyfriend material Finn,” Pintel snickered from his shoulder, only earning a sharp green eyed glare and a swipe of Finn’s sandy tan hand, almost causing him to fall off of his shoulder. The Murkrow huffed through his snickers, moving from his shoulder to Archimedes who stood just beside them, looking to Apollo and the girl Kira.
”Skepticism aside, I’m glad that we were all able to get out of the cemetery, but we’re not out of the fog yet,” Finn replied, though he hadn’t quite yet noticed that the clouds had grown thicker and darker around them, rolling in through the sky that opened up above their heads. Finn was getting ready to move the group forward, wanting to spend as little time among ice and snow as possible when the winds around them started to pick up, whipping the snow around them more fiercely.
”Phineas, there is a sinister power here… This place is unstable and unpredictable, please be careful,” Bade spoke for Finn to hear, watching closely behind his eyes, and Vitus and Archimedes too could feel her unsettled demeanor.
”Unpredictable? What does she mean by unpredictable,” Vitus glowered over the sound of the wind, and Archimedes only looked with a shrug, unsure of what Bade could mean when the snow around them disappeared instantly, as though it had never been there in the first place, taking the cold with it. Finn and his Pokemon stood, almost in shock at the sudden change, wondering what power this place had to have in order to do that as the mountains they had been surrounded by crumbled and disappeared just as quickly.
”Bloody hell, what is this place,” Finn seethed as the ground under their feet grew completely level, having swallowed the mountains and the snow with it as though it was all just a trick of their minds. From the center where the mountains had disappeared, a field spread like wild fire, sprouting into tall brown grasses and brush before their very eyes. The change was instantaneous as they were surrounded by a country side, the only constant that remained were the growing black clouds that loomed over them now, and Finn could just feel the shift in the air around him, knowing all too well what that meant. The skies gave a deep rumble as the sound of thunder rolled over them, and looking through the rain that started to shower down on them, Finn could see the lightning, the electricity surging through the clouds, just waiting for its chance to strike down on them.
”I’ll need a word with this tower master once we’re through here,” Finn seethed as he watched the sky move above them, until the winds got unusually forceful. In the distance, the clouds were moving in a fierce formation through the winds that were blowing, and while Finn might not have spent as much time inland as he did out on the open ocean, he knew enough about a lot of things to know what that meant.
”I don’t know what this challenge is trying to get at, but I suggest that we get as far away from that funnel cloud as possible,” Finn called over the howling winds as he started in the opposite direction of the forming tornado, but he looked out in the opposite direction to find nothing but sprawling field and swaying grasses, not even a hill, or a tree to block any of what may come.
”We have to find some kind of cover, some kind of structure. By the looks of that formation, this storm is going to be capable of a lot of damage,” Finn stated, trying to think fast on how they were supposed to fend off a tornado with no where to go. It seemed that their situation was getting worse and worse. The storm-clouds were gathering, and threatening to unleash their hellish contents upon them without mercy. Even the thunder roared, though at a distance for now. Kira wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not, because it still sounded quite dangerous. Kira kept making curious glances at the Pirate, "Phineas, hmm?" She began at Apollo's introduction of the Pirate. She'd learned to deal with Apollo's peculiarities, so she ignored the compliments and gushing of the older Male. She ended up finally showing a hint that something may be bothering her - little did anyone else know that her burn was still hurting like a b**ch. She had hidden the pain well until then, and the burn cream applied in that strange hospital had helped. "Guess I owe you some gratitude for helping them." She broke into a grin. "No way they could think clearly enough on their own to mount a rescue mission."
The storm clouds grew immensely darker and that was when the Pirate pointed out just the strange formation forming in the sky above them. "Is... is that a Tornado?" She muttered, picking up her pace and quickly following Phineas away from there. If it were, then they needed to be as far away from that thing as possible. It looked wide enough to swallow up all of them - and all of their Pokemon - at once. They all seemed to agree that the best course of action was to get away. Unfortunately, a creature seemed to block their path, floating there in the air. Dratini - who was still on Lucy's shoulders - directed another manual bolt of lightning crashing down on Inkay. The squid fought back with some sort of Psychic-Type attack, but an Ice Beam attack hit it head-on and dropped it out of the sky.

Kirlia, distanced from the group by her own curiosity now, had enough time for one more battle before the others would run for it. It just so happened to be a second Vullaby who had been a sibling to the first. The battle went similarly - Vullaby attacked with a Gust, Lady used her Fairy-Type attack Disarming Voice, and they exchanged attacks with one another. Thomas collected her when the others ran for it, and he had to hurry to keep up. He didn't want to be swept away by a tornado any more than the others did. TL;DR

The conversation between Phineas and Thomas ended fairly abruptly after Thomas apologized and Phineas accepted, giving him a bit nicer of a response the he had gotten in the cemetery. But that was none of his business. Granted, Apollo never did mind his own business, which had earned him quite a few swift hits in the past, and the reason Vamira was his body guard from time to time. Even though his self proclaimed body guard wasn't there anymore, Apollo still never figured out how to keep his mouth shut, and his eyes and ears where they needed to be. Thomas seemed to ignore Phineas altogether, and grow quiet like he had before. Apollo was finding it odd, he was starting to change his mind and actions with each and every challenge. But they had bigger problems to attend to. Apollo ignored Phineas' expression of disapproval of Apollo's commentary or compliments. He knew he was going to have that pirate, and by Blackbeard's beard, he was gonna have him. Apollo sneered at the Murkrow, but before he could mouth off to the Pokemon, Kira expressed her gratitude towards the pirate and confessed her lack in faith in Thomas and himself. She also expressed a bit of pain, looking to her burns Apollo could easily see why, the pain was returning... There wasn't much Apollo could to, nor Chansey so he tried to play it off. Apollo's mouth fell open, and he gave her a sneer before elbowing her lightly in the back. "I'll have you know, I was the driving force behind your rescue mission. Thank you very much." Apollo fibbed. Teddy had started struggling to hold onto Anthony as he tried to back his way towards Apollo. "But I thought Thomas was... Remember he said he saved the day lots." Teddy chimed in as he tried to correct his trainer, although he couldn't understand.
Apollo moved down and grabbed onto Anthony's string, and pulled him back so he could coil his string around Apollo's pack. He then scooped up Teddy as Phineas spoke out. The brunette turned back as watched as a funnel cloud started to form in the distance. Now, when Apollo interned for Carrie Sunnita, they never were Weather forecasters, they investigated stories, and brought the breaking news. However... He had seen his fair share of Tornado footage, and he knew enough to answer Kira's question. "It's about to be one" he called out over the growing winds. The funnel began to form rather largely as it grew darker and windier. What were they suppose to do? They didn't have some massive Pokemon to counter a freaking Tornado... Maybe Vamira's Noivern could counter spin it... Or maybe Victoria's team could psychic the shit out of it and knock it over... But Apollo wasn't even sure if Thomas' Metagross could stop it... Everything went from zero to one hundred. After Phineas suggested that the group looked for shelter, Thomas and Kira both took off running. Apollo wasn't going to get swept away by this thing, so he began after them. He couldn't tell where exactly they planned to go, but moving was the best option. Apollo was quick on his feet, and was able to cover a bit of distance, with Anthony seeming to frantically whip back and forth in the intense winds, pointing forwards, with Clefairy behind him, using the winds to help carry her forward as she held her pink bow in place.As the group ran, the tornado has completely formed and appeared to be on a destructive path headed straight for them. If they looked back, they would see a large red farm house start to appear between the tornado and the group of four. The house had just came into view, but it didn't last long as the Tornado made quick haste in consuming it. First, the roof slowly started to peel upwards, flapping wildly in the winds, and soon it lifted from the house and whirled around the funnel until it was broken up into many tiny pieces. After the roof's demise, the rest of the house didn't stand a chance, as it disappeared into the black funnel. Large chucks of red began to whirl about the twister as t ripped the house apart as it continue to charge towards the group. The tornado began to pick up a dangerous amount of speed, and followed the trainers, as if it was tracking them specifically. The Tornado managed to get so close to the group, that debris from the house began to whirl around the trainers. Wood, glass, farming tools, a tractor. All of which could be fatal. With a loud explosion, A lightning strike struck down in front of the group, and a figure landed down right in the middle of the burned grass. Raikou. The legendary dog let out a large roar as the Tornado stopped it's chase and began to circle around the four trainers, and the Pokemon. Causing endless gale force wings, and debris. Raikou didn't hesitate and moved forward. Raikou sent out a bolt of lightning and struck the Karlia effectively knocking her out due to the battle she previously had partaken in. {Battle Overveiw. Come hell or high water, he was going to get out of this place with what was left of his life, and make sure that he got his crew out as well. His resolve was strong, but the lightning surging through the sky above them was an ever present reminder of the fact that he didn’t have much of his life left to save, starting to feel that phantom pain again beginning over his heart that no longer beat against his chest, where the fractal scar he came out with branched over his skin. His skin was growing cold, but his anger and will was getting the better of him, keeping him grounded and focused just enough that he could try and make sense of what to do next. He could feel Bade close behind his eyes, and he knew that the wyvern was just waiting for her chance to make herself known in this hellish place, but they had to keep her hidden if they needed her power later, not wanting to give this tower master any bit of a leg up on them. So it was, Finn began to run with the rest of his allies as the winds only continued to get stronger around them, and in the distance the tornado had already touched ground and was gaining on them with every second that passed. This place was unpredictable and it was impossible to know what was coming next, which was why Finn and his Pokemon were bewildered to look behind them and find that a barn had appeared behind them among the field and grass, only to be ripped to pieces by the force of the tornado that had started to consume it.
The tornado continued to gain on them, the debris that it had caught with the farm it tore apart being carried within the vortex, and it was only moments later that the debris had started to fall around them, this environments first at many attempts he was sure to do them in. Finn got close enough to Vitus as the turtle drew his cannons, and with his expert aim used his water to fend off the debris from around them that began to fall from the force of the tornado. The tornado was relentless though, and was sure to be their end, when there was a giant crack from the sky as a lightning bolt struck the ground, revealing what Finn could more than assume was their adversary for this place. His entire body went cold from the lightning that struck the ground, revealing Raikou standing in front of them, powerful and foreboding as the tornado started to circle around them, creating their battle field.
"Bloody hell, this can't be real," Finn called over the winds, unsure if they were really meant to fight a legendary, if the dog was actually here. It couldn't be that a legendary Pokemon was trapped in this place, the tower master couldn't have that power, but if they really sat down and thought about it, Bade was in this place with him without a way out...
"I'm not sure Phineas, but we don't have a choice but to fend for our selves," Bade spoke for the pirate to hear as the Raikou let out a roar, and in that instant, the battle began as the legendary released a harsh bolt of lightning, striking down Thomas' Kirlia where she stood.
"Vitus, get in there! We need to get this beast off of us," Finn shouted over the wind as the tornado continued to circle around them, and the Blastoise gave out a bellow as he surged forward, cannons bared at the command of his captain. Vitus squared off with the Raikou, ready to face the battle to come, and the barrel of his cannons began to glow with a bright blue energy. Vitus took aim with all three cannons and fired at the Raikou, striking the legendary with everything he had as a blast of dragonic energy struck the legendary.
