Enigmatic Tower- Floor 13

The situation was simultaneously looking both good and bleak for the four Trainers who had banded together in this nightmare-place to survive. By working together, they had managed to keep the Legendary Hound at bay, but was Raikou controlling this tornado? If they really did somehow manage to beat it, Kira was worried the tornado would be set free to consume them all. She didn't bother bringing up this thought, because the moment she opened her mouth the words would be stolen by the wind.  

When Raikou next attacked, it was with a move he could fire from a distance which told them they were about to win. It was, however, powerful enough to send Charmeleon up into the wind. If Onix hadn't been there to catch her, she might have been sucked up into the tornado. Kira made a mental note to thank Thomas and Onix later. Charmeleon was stumbling a bit, trying to regain her footing and launch another Fire Blast attack, only to fire it at her own feet. Once again, the smoke upon impact was whipped away by the wind instantly. 

(I am applying Charmeleon's Pokerus-based experience for 2/28 and 3/1. [Charmeleon is technically evolved, but will not evolve within the story until the next time she is sent out from her Pokeball.])

As the last valley of pulses, and blasts of energies knocked back Raikou, and this time, it stayed down. The tornado seemed to fall to pieces after Raikou's defeat, and debris started falling from the sky as the winds died immediately. Silence filled the area, besides the sounds of thuds as heavy sheet metal and farming equipment landed. The clouds cleared and the sun came out, revealing a calm after the storm. Raikou made no motion to attack ad it laid unconscious, and unmoving... The guardian was defeated, and the dangers were all gone, but.... There was no portal... No way home, no prize. The calm lasted all but a few minutes before the sky in the distance began to change, opposite of where the Tornado had come. It began to grow dark and smokey. The smell of smoke and burning filled the air long before there was even an ember in the wind, but everything changed in an instant. The flames began visual in the far distance, and they came racing through the fields of grass almost as fast as a rapidash can run. Within seconds the group of four and their Pokemon were surrounded in flames. Raikou's body seemed to go up in flames and disintegrated into ash within seconds. However another replaced it with a loud and deeper roar. The flames erupted with the booming roar, and the lion came bursting out of the flames before the group. Entei let out another roar before burrowing into the ground. Entei disappeared beneath the burning grounds as the fires surged and raised even higher.

The battle raged on so quickly that Apollo almost couldn't keep up. It seemed that with All of their attacks combined, they were able to take out Raikou. It fell eerily silent as the tornado just fell into pieces and Raikou laid motionless in the grass. Apollo stared at the beast, waiting for it to jump up or come back with a vengeance and barbecue them all. But, it laid still, the tornado was gone, and aside from the falling and settling debris... It all seemed finished. Apollo let out a deep sigh and moved back over to the greninja. "Hey, thank you again for saving me, I don't think I can thank you enough!" Apollo commented, trying to run one of his fingers through his now very tangled mess of hair, only to get it stuck. Teddy finally looked up from Apollo's chest, now a large puffy ball from all of the wind blowing his fur around. "You saved out lives, I'm eternally grateful." Teddy commented to the frog as well, and held out one of his paws. "Want some honey?" Teddy offered, which was a very big deal for the little bear. Teddy didn't share his honey with anyone. He barely would share with Apollo. But before the greninja would have had a chance to taste the honey, even if he wanted to, he heard Phineas mutter under his breath. Apollo looked to Phineas, but was quickly drawn to the direction that Greninja was pointing in, as they were faced with a whole new challenge. As if the Tornado wasn't enough.

The group was surrounded by fire within moments. The heat quickly picked up, and it was like they were in the second challenge all over again, the air was dry and the embers were floating around the dangerously. Apollo pulled out a Pokeball and returned Clefairy, but let out Squirtle, and Omanyte. "Guys, help Archimedes keep the flames at bay!" Apollo called out, he knew they wouldn't be near as helpful as the frog or the massive turtle that Phineas had on his side, but he wanted to aid in any way he could. Squirtle panicked for a moment, not really for himself, but just at the fact that they were in a field of grass and surrounded by towering flames. Of course they were in a field of dry grass in the middle of a wild fire. Why wouldn't they be? It seemed like every time he was let out, there was some form of disaster they had gotten themselves into. Squirtle wasn't sure how much he could help, and the Omanyte wanted to put out the fires, so they began to take to the opposite side as Archimedes, and began to spray the flames with water, trying to keep them from reaching the trainers. Suddenly Raikou's body went up in flames, and burned away to nothing, causing Apollo and Anthony to watch in horror. A legendary turning to dust... That was something you didn't see every day. But it was quick to be replaced as the flames soared above them, and Entei erupted from the flames. "Oh my god!" Apollo exclaimed as the fire beast let out a roar, and began to dig under ground. Both Squirtle and Omanyte began to struggle keeping the flames at their boundaries, and keeping the fire back, but the continued to fight it. Phineas called out to the group to get down, and Apollo was not going to hesitate, so he dropped low to the ground, squatting down, unsure of what the pirate was planning. Suddenly his large mega blastoise struck the ground sending a shock wave outwards. The ground beneath him quaked violently, knocking him over sideways, rather thankful for the warning on Phineas's part, Squirtle and Omanyte were both caught in the wave, sending them tumbling as well, both in their shells, but they emerged quickly and went back to fighting the fires.

[/b]"[/font] She replied, waving her paws in it's direction. She was not going to be the first one through the swirling green portal, she wasn't going to let herself be the dumb one that fell into a trap. Ridley was more then ready to leave the mausoleum, so any sign of an exit was enough for her. She moved for the portal before Vanessa vegan to speak to her. She began to talk about this being the final challenge, and that they were about to face the asshole behind everything. Ridley hadn't planned this far ahead. She wasn't a planner. She was a survivor, and did with that she could on the hand she was dealt. She was ready to march in a drop kick her way out of it. She hadn't exactly been counting either, so she hadn't put much thought into the final challenge, but Amma had. She had calculated everything up this far, and was paying attention so she could start anticipating the attacks and what might come up next. Amma was eying over the portal, trying to see if she could decipher if it really was an exit or not, as she toyed with one of her tokens. "I don't care what this challenge is, or what asshole is behind all this. But I'll be damned before I let myself die after going through everything I have." Ridley replied putting a hand on her hip. Ridley returned Mawile and Evanora and began to strut her way across the stone floors. Power was in numbers like Vanessa said, but Ridley was not going to have the two most questionable ones on her team be out and about for the final battle."I'm ready for a bit of revenge, and ready to kick some ass." Ridley told her as she marched her way through the portal. Amma followed Ridley, unable to find any maliciousness in the portal, aside from the usual in the tower. Delphine and Jessica exchanged glances and looked to Vanessa and Thomas, before Jessica lead Del through the portal.

Once the green gases began to dissipate Ridley found herself on the street of a city. The blonde began to look around for a mastermind, a challenge. The big finale. But it was silent. Very silent. "Another city..." Ridley commented as she walked a few steps down the street. She didn't recognize this one either, she had encountered cities in the psychic and electric floors, neither of which she really knew which they were suppose to be. It was rather large and spacious, allowing her to see pretty far across the grid in a few ways between the buildings. Her Pokemon followed after her as she turned back to see Vanessa if she emerged. She hoped she did. It was only one battle, but Ridley could already tell she was a good ally to have around. She was relieved to see the off brunette emerge, after losing Alec, she wasn't going to be too careful. She didn't get to say anything before she saw a tall slender figure move down one of the streets. She wasn't going to take any chances. "Delphine!" Ridley called out, pointing towards the figure. Delphine gasped, frantically grasping her stick in a panic, almost dropping it before waving it at the dark shadow, using Psychic to lift it up in the air, and pull it into the light. It was a Florges... Ridley's eyes frowned as she looked the black fairy type over. "You've done this before" The Florges groaned in pain at the strain of the psychic attack, though she commented as if it were a fact, and almost like she liked it.. Delphine's expression dropped. "Say what?" She questioned in shock. Ridley threw a Pokeball, not taking any chances. She captured the florges, knowing she wasn't the cause of all of the tower, but she didn't want it going around giving them up. After the ball fell still, Ridley paused, waiting for a reaction from something, but nothing happened. She walked over and collected the Pokemon, before turning back to Vanessa with an unsure expression.

Ridley was going to question what the next step should be, if they were going to have to search the city, but she didn't have to ask. There was the sound of a loud thunder crash that exploded and echoed through the city. Ridley looked skyward quickly, expecting the worst, maybe another electric battle. But the reality was much much worse. High up on the skyscr above them stood Raikou glaring down on them. The dog let out a booming roar as the skies erupted into a storm around the legendary. Winds drastically picked up around Ridley, turning the streets into make shift wind tunnels. Lightning began to strike wildly around the legendary, striking buildings shattering the windows they hit. The dog then leapt from it's perch and barreled down towards the group. "Shit!" Ridley cursed as she turned on the balls of her feet. "Run!" Jessica cried, as they began in motion after Ridley down the street. Ridley wasn't stupid, she wasn't going to just stand there and get smited by Raikou itself. She didn't know if Vanessa and Thomas were following her, but she wasn't going to stand in the path of that storm. Displaying her talent of running in her unreasonably tall heels, she sprinted down the streets with Amma following close behind, and Delphine just behind them, dragging Jessica who was having a hard time keeping up. Ridley didn't have to worry about Vanessa, and Thomas, not that she was, for long before they both soon surpassed Ridley and her Pokemon. They both rounded a corner to travel into the next street, and hopefully lose the legendary at least for a second, only to find themselves blocked in by a parked car. Ridley got to the end of the side street before turning back. "Looks like this is it." Ridley spoke taking a breath. They were going to have to battle the legendary. If this was the bitch that trapped them, then she was ready to take down Raikou. Vanessa seemed to agree as she let out her Nidoking. If she wasn't battling a legendary, she would be impressed. Nidoking, and a Noivern.... But she kept her focus on the electric dog. Raikou began to unleash energy sending out lightning strikes through out the street, Delphine and Jessica braced themselves, while Amma positioned herself in front of Ridley to take the fire. "Delphine, use Psychic, keep it at bay!" Ridley called out, as Delphine held her stick steady, trying to ensnare the legendary for as long as she could. The legendary unleashed a beam of energy at Delphine but she managed to hold her ground. After a fire blast form Nidoking, and Del slamming more energy into Raikou, the dog was put down.

Ridley paused for a moment, waiting for it to strike again, but the dog remained motionless. "That was it?" Ridley asked as the storms began to fade away with the winds and thunder. That was the big finale? Raikou had already been defeated after their horrifying endeavor. "No. It's not over." Amma replied grimly, her eyes trained on the skies. There was another echoing roar, but Raikou didn't move. "I'm not going to stay trapped in this ally." Ridley commented as she dashed for the Car and began to climb over it. Amma and her other Pokemon agreed as they began over it. Ridley jumped down into the next street with a loud click of her heels, and there was an immediate change on this street. It was almost blistering hot. The sudden change took the breath out of her and Jessica, as they looked for the source. She looked down the street and saw fire bellowing on the building, and barreling towards them. Ridley didn't have time to react to the fires before their street was ignited. Delphine used psychic to keep the racing flames away from Ridley, and their Allies the best she could, but before she knew it, the entire street were in flames, followed by Entei. "Oh my god" Ridley exclaimed without thinking as the heat drastically rose as all the moisture in the air disappeared. They had no where to run. Soon Entei burrowed under the streets and disappeared. The suspense was terrible as they just waited for it to emerge, only for it to come roaring from under the streets, attacking her Nidoking. Amma didn't wait for a command, and unleashed a power gem on the legendary. She was a religious Pokemon, and respected legendaries, and Deities alike, but this was a monster. If they were the cause of all this, or even aiding in it, they didn't deserve her praise. The beast retaliated and slammed it's body into her Nidoking, putting him out of commission, only for Vanessa to let out her Rhydon that unnerved Jessica and Amma, but right now they were both thankful. The legendary burrowed once again, only to attack the Rhydon, only for the beast to retaliate and knock out the legendary just as they had Raikou.

The flames began to slowly die down as the dog laid unconscious just like Raikou. Ridley waited again, and began to scan the sky line. "Okay... Two down, where's Suicune?" Ridley asked, clearly they had to battle the trio after battling two of them, and she was ready for the third and final one. Just like the others, a roar was let out, but not from where they expected, or where she really could tell. The flames had died down, but they weren't done, but soon the sound of sizzling filled the air as they began to be put out. Suicune came sprinting around one of the corners, and was directed at them. Following it was a large rush of water that slammed into the building adjacent to the side street the legendary came out of and continued down along with Suicune. Ridley let out another four letter curse, and turned back, and sprinted down the street. She didn't want to get swept away by the rush of water. She wasn't going to nearly drown like on the second challenge, especially after they had come so far. She could only assume that Vanessa was right behind her, and to be soon ahead of her. But they didn't make it very far before they found themselves trapped by debris from a rush of water rocketing from another side street, pushing a pile of trucks, signs, and carts in the way. Ridley knew she couldn't hike over it in time before Suicune would be on top of them, so she spun around and braced herself for the attack. Delphine and Jessica continued forward and stood behind Ridley as they waited for the beast to get near them. The dog stopped a ways away from them, however the water continued forward. Amma moved up over the water, as the waters slammed into Ridley. She let out a grunt as she struggled to stay standing as the waters swept over her. The waters easily took Jessica and Delphine away with it. Ridley looked back to see them wash over the debris and around the corner. Delphine was screaming as she washed away, but Jessica held onto the fox, and began to create her own iceberg that she iced herself to, keeping them from getting pulled under or getting crushed into debris. Ridley looked back to her Pokemon, as the waters rose to her waist which was too much for the blonde to hold on, and she began to wash away. She grabbed onto a street sign, that was still attached to the streets, and wrapped her arms around it and waited for the waters to subside, which they quickly did. "They'll be fine" Amma called out to Ridley. "I know, just take this bitch down" the blonde called out. She didn't know if they would be okay. She wanted nothing more then to let go and go after them, horrified of losing Jessica again, as well as Delphine. But she had to trust they would be fine and to take down Suicune to ensure everyone's safety. Amma began unleashing lightning strikes as it began to attack Rhydon. After multiple strikes and a rush from Rhydon, Suicune soon too succumbed to the attacks. The waters washed away as it laid unconscious. Ridley moved forward, back to where Vanessa, Thomas, and the battling Pokemon were. Ridley was ready to leave this shit show, the Suicune didn't remain there... It melted away. Ridley's eyes widened as a cry of pain was unleashed through the city. What was left? She didn't have to worry long before the city's building began to fall and crash, but instead of destruction and dust clouds, they left nothing behind... They were standing in one big area of nothing... Nothing but a Zoroark in the distance as it screamed out as she fell to the ground. "A zoroark was the master of all this?" Ridley questioned cautiously as she glanced to Vanessa and Thomas. But she turned back around to see Jessica and Delphine on the ground, a distance that would be about a street over, as they got to their feet after the waters disappeared, and they made their way over to Ridley. "I don' like the feelin' of this one." Amma commented as she looked around unnerved by the energy that began to emerge. "I don't care, we defeated the challenges, we did our parts. I'm ready to get the hell out." Ridley commented as she crossed her arms. "I don't think it's over..." Jessica spoke folding her arms over her stomach nervously. It would seem that Jessica was right as the Zoroark let out a snarl, and another cry of fear and pain before she was drug off into the shadows by an unseen force.
