 Rocky walls and tunnels open up around the area now with dusty dirt and rock on the ground, and it would seem as though a cave system is what makes up this environment. The walls are devoid of holes and there doesn't seem to be any noise of rumbling or movement coming from the rocks, so it would seem as though this environment was not inhabited by rock type Pokemon. The only thing that seems out of place is the gale force gusts of wind that surge through the cave every now and again with enough force to knock down and blow away any unsuspecting victim. Light can be seen at the end of a tunnel, and it's no question that that's the way out, but hurrying too fast is a great way to fall thousands of feet to certain death as a complete ninety degree drop off of a mountain face ends the tunnel. Seeing to the bottom is next to impossible as clouds skirt through the sky just below, and it's clear now why the air is so thin and difficult to breathe in. This environment is nothing but mountain tops and caves as far as the eye can see, but making it from mountain top to mountain top is the difficult part since it seems that there are almost no paths that lead from cave to cave. The winds are strong here since there is almost nothing to stop the air currents, but a stronger gust will sweep through the area every now and again, as if their air were being pushed. Every so often, is that a shadow that can be seen moving through the clouds? Or is it just a trick of the air and being light headed? Those questions are answered with a guttural roar and another forceful gust of wind as a Dragonite emerges from the clouds, eyes fierce and claws at the ready to rid itself of the intruders that dare invade its territory. Climbing to freedom from the wasteland, the very first thing that Julian did was release all of his Pokemon, including Umbreon and Espeon who had been in the safety of their secondary homes for the past three or four floors. They all took in their new surroundings. They were in what appeared to be a cave, a frigid wind flowing steadily through. Julian opened his bag, looking for the jacket he'd grabbed from the abandoned city. It smelled funny, but it helped deter the frigid wind.
If he thought the wind was bad, it soon picked up so fiercely that had Tank not stepped in the way to block the wind, it would have taken Julian and company off their feet and blown them down the tunnel. It died down to it's previous numb-fingers wind, but Julian felt better with Tank leading the way... just to be safe.
It was Hoothoot who saw the first wild Pokemon perched in the leafy top of Exeggutor. The Poison-Type scorpion known as Gligar detatched itself from the wall. Hoothoot used Uproar before it could reach the party, effectively dropping the Pokemon out of the air to land with a -thump- on the ground. Julian considered catching the wild Pokemon, he was trying to catch as many unique Pokemon as he could find but he knew that his Pokemon also needed the experience of a true victory to grow stronger. So, he left the Pokemon there.

Finding another Pokemon shortly after; a small Dragon with a big mouth in Gible, Hoothoot used Uproar again from the top of Tank. Julian was concealed behind Tank as they all kept moving forward, in case another massive gust of wind swept through again. At this rate, they would be in these tunnels for a while but they'd be safe with this method. Hoothoot attacking from behind, Tank defending them from the wind, everyone else taking up the rear in case something decided to attack from behind.

Following the same pattern of travel, it wasn't long before this cave/tunnel lead them to another Pokemon. It was another Dragon, which was strange because Julian thought they were supposed to be super rare. This one he'd read about, it was a Goomy and they were supposedly easily dried out. The little blobby bundle didn't look dehydrated, so that made Julian wonder if there was a body of water in this cave system. Hoothoot again defeated the dragon with an Uproar attack, and they kept moving.

The next Pokemon they came across was another Gible, the small Dragon with the big mouth. An Uproar quickly stopped it's confusion. It had seemed confused to see other Pokemon in the area, and even a Human! But, alas, it's thoughts were blank when knocked unconscious. They party continued through their tunnel, before coming to a fork. Which way should they take? They couldn't split up and risk losing one another.

An Axew stepped in the path of Tank, stopping the giant in his tracks. Hoothoot used it's signature Uproar. Axew retaliated and used Dragon Rage on the Hoothoot, but a second Uproar easily defeated the Pokemon. It was swept off it's feet and the wind took it away when the heavy winds picked back up.

Hoothoot was quickly healed with a Potion, soon back to his full strength and feeling good after winning the fight. This time when they approached another Pokemon, it was WAY larger than the other threats they faced. With how big this Pokemon was, Julian assumed it was the leader or defender of this 'floor'. However, the Pokemon was asleep.
Hoothoot woke it with an Uproar... what a way to wake up! Druddigon attacked in an angry rampage, scratching the owl before a second Uproar washed over it. The wild Pokemon wobbled back and forth on his feet trying to fight the ever growing darkness. It was a losing battle as Julian could see, the damage was too extensive.

In Julian's experience, when you beat the Boss or Protector or Guardian or whatever you wanted to call it, the others didn't dare attack you any further. When a Noibat swooped in, Julian was quite surprised. Hoothoot was caught off guard as well, but used Uproar to drop it out of the sky either way. So, did that mean their Leader was still around here somewhere? If so, Julian didn't want to imagine just how large he would be. It wasn't a comforting thought. So, they all kept walking further and further into the caves in hopes of finding their way out.

Another Noibat appeared, and Julian had to believe they were related or a couple the way this one retaliated for his fallen brethren. Hoothoot, now expecting another attack, used Uproar before it could even reach them. This one, however, seemed to be made of tougher material as it still plowed right into the owl. Hoothoot didn't fall off of Tank, however, and a second Uproar beat the bat with ease.

Boy, there must have been a family of Noibat in this part of the cave, because a third one attacked! Hoothoot used Hypnosis, knocking the bat out of the sky. Followed with a single Uproar and the bat didn't know what hit it. Julian recalled everyone but Tank and Hoothoot since they seemed to be having all the fun here. Not to mention everyone else looked to be getting cold and tired.

Progressing further into the tunnel, the group didn't see Dratini slither beneath them until Tank nearly stepped on it and freaked, knocking into the cave wall and causing the whole place to shake. Julian's eyes widened, but the cave calmed and so did Tank. Hoothoot put the Dragon to sleep before hitting it with a Peck followed by an Uproar. This kept the Dratini down and out. Julian was quite impressed with how Hoothoot handled himself now, and wondered how close he was to evolving into the more powerful Noctowl.

This must have been the part of the cave where the Dratini family lived, because a second Dratini came out of the same hole. Thankfully this one only required one use up Uproar to defeat. Julian, Tank, and Hoothoot kept pushing through the caves just as a much larger gust of wind blew through, knocking Tank off balance a little bit. Julian's eyes got wide because it looked like Tank was about to fall back onto Julian. At the last second though, Tank regained his footing and pushed harder forward.

Yet another Noibat attacked, and if Julian didn't know any better he'd say it was the same one from before. It looked tired and worn out, but it was fighting-fit again. Were they regenerating? Hoothoot used Hypnosis, followed by Peck and Uproar again. It was his go-to combination for Pokemon that were a little too strong for Uproar alone.

A bit further down the path, they came across another of the giant slumbering, colorful dragons. Hoothoot used Hypnosis, just to make sure it was deep asleep. He then used Peck and Uproar to quickly defeat the Pokemon before it even woke. Collecting their well-deserved experience, they all continued down the tunnel path that lead... well, to who knows where.

Oh hey, look. That was a Pokemon Julian had only seen one of thus far, another Axew. It didn't matter the species though. With a Hypnosis, Peck, and Uproar, any Pokemon fell before the mighty and awesome power of Hoothoot. Fear the power of Hoothoot!
Anyway, when Axew fell, Julian leaned against the cave wall. He needed a rest as he'd been walking for a while. He huddled up with himself, rubbing extremities to keep blood flowing and cold at bay. He didn't want to admit it, but the air was harder to breathe up here as well. The altitude made the air... different.

While he was resting, a strange two-headed Pokemon peeked around the corner. Julian felt bad for the Pokemon, because it was sniffing around as if hungry. He could see a lot of scratches on the Pokemon, and Julian assumed it was from the other Pokemon. Living around other Dragons had to be dangerous business. He couldn't stop when Hoothoot saw the Pokemon and attacked with Uproar, knocking the Pokemon unconscious instantly. Julian could, however, catch it. Julian shrugged it off, deciding against it. He rose back to his feet, and they continued along their path. He wanted to let the Pokemon remain where it was and where it was probably most happy with others of it's kind.
Suddenly, Hoothoot began to glow on top of Tank's leafy head. Growing rapidly and changing shape, Hoothoot evolved into Noctowl. This filled Julian with pride, and he hugged the owl who flew down to him, just as happy to have evolved, then flew back up to his perch on top of the Exeggutor.

The group came upon sunlight, and they all went in that direction. Thankfully they weren't going fast, or they'd have walked right over the edge of the mountain. This cave system must go through the top of the mountain, because as far down as Julian looked he could only see clouds. He wasn't afraid of heights by any means, but the look down made him a bit nauseous. They looked all around, and could only see clouds in any direction... no, wait. What was that? Could it be a flying Pokemon, or was it just a trick from being so light-headed? It was just as hard to breathe here in the open air.
A roar sounded out, which everyone but Julian could hear. They all looked nervous. Suddenly, a Dragonite formed from the clouds and flew closer. He didn't look happy, and Julian wasn't happy either. A Dragonite was the Guardian?! Those were meant to be insanely powerful Pokemon, and Julian honestly feared for the safety of both his Pokemon and himself.
Hoothoot, filled with courage and power from just evolving into Noctowl, took off into the air. He circled the Dragonite, both Pokemon watching each other cautiously. Dragonite made the first move, a Steel Wing attack that nearly knocked Noctowl out of the sky. When Hoothoot used Hypnosis, Julian was surprised to see that the Pokemon's wings still moved up and down to keep it in place. He didn't realize their wings were so motor-function. Noctowl didn't waste a single second, instantly jumping on the giant Dragon and pecking it's head over and over and over.
When it woke, Dragonite woke with a vengeance. It Dragon Pulsed Noctowl so hard the owl actually started falling. It took a moment, but the owl righted his flight pattern and rose up again to face off. Noctowl used Hypnosis a second time, and rushed forward for the peck attack again. This time, however, the second attack was an Uproar at point-blank to Dragonite's face. Needless to say, he woke up even more angry than the first time. Honestly fearing for Noctowl's life, Julian recalled the owl. He pulled out a second Pokeball, sending out Quilava. Dragonite sent a Dragon Pulse flying into the mouth of the cave, which might have hurt Julian if Tank hadn't stepped into the way.
Quilava, injured, shot forward like a rocket into a Wild Charge attack. The electricity propelled him forward into thin air. Upon contact, the Fire-Type Pokemon detonated, and they both began to fall through the sky. Julian tried recalling the falling Fire-Type, but his aim just wasn't good enough to catch something that far away. He sent Noctowl back out, who shot down in a blur trying to save his friend. Both Pokemon disappearing into the clouds, Julian could do nothing but wait with terrified, held breath.
There! The pair of Pokemon appeared again. Hoothoot was carrying Quilava. Thank God Hoothoot had evolved, Julian wasn't sure the smaller version of the owl would be able to carry the larger Fire-Type Pokemon. He healed them both when they were close enough, and then recalled them both into their Pokeballs.

Appearing back in that cave system inside a mountain, Julian realized he'd have to get out of here before... oh no! It was too late, the hurricane-force winds roared through, actually picking Julian up off of his feet and sending him flying down the tunnel. Tank wasn't out to save him this time. If he wanted to avoid being bashed to bits against the mountain, he knew there was only one thing he could do; he controlled the portal to open a few feet in front of him, and he was flung through by the winds.

Kira recalled Charmeleon. "Thanks, you were a big help." She smiled as the Pokeball returned to it's smaller standby size and she slipped it into her pocket and zipped it up to make sure none of her Pokeballs would fall out. "Apollo, there!" She called out, pointing at the shimmering portal that hadn't been there a few seconds before. There was no way Onix was fitting through that, so Kira had to find his Pokeball and send the giant back inside. "Can you get him through that?" She asked Apollo, not sure if the portal would be open for very long.
When they were all through, they found themselves in a windy tunnel. Kira started shivering, wrapping her arms around herself. "Wow." She was going to say more, but realized in that moment how difficult it was to catch her breath here. What on Earth was this place?

Having been brought through to the next floor by Apollo, the sudden cold wind was enough to snap Thomas out of his current state, and he realized the area had changed. "Wh... what happened?" He muttered out. He panicked a bit and looked around for his Pokemon Scizor and Onix were nowhere to be found, but Lady was being held by Kira. He ran his fingers through his hair, which was standing on end, wincing in pain. "I feel like I got hit by a truck." It was easier for him to talk longer, his lungs could hold more air. He still realized how tough it was to keep his breath. Oh shit, was this a side effect of whatever had hit him? He began to panic, jumping to the worst possible conclusion. He started breathing heavier in his panic, which was only making it harder for him to breathe.

Kira let Apollo worry about Thomas. Sure she was worried, but it wouldn't do them any good for everyone to be worrying about one thing when there was so much to figure out. For example; where the hell were they? She looked as far into the tunnel as she could while shielding her watering eyes from the freezing wind. Being so intently distracted, she didn't notice when a Gligar detatched itself from the wall and flew towards her face. What Gligar didn't realize, however, is that Gastly was nearby. He couldn't be seen because the wind had blown away most of the gasses forming his body, but he was there.
He used Hypnosis, and Gligar fell out of the sky. In what could only be described as kicking someone when they are down, Gastly used Curse and then Lick attack after Lick attack until the Pokemon couldn't regain consciousness. That was it for him, however, and Kira had to recall him into his Pokeball because any longer in this wind and he'd blow away entirely.

Apollo finally succeeded in calming Thomas down, but he was still jittery and nervous. Ralts squirmed in Kira's arms until she was let down, and she hurried over to her Trainer. He wrapped her up in his arms and held her to him sort of like a comfort blanket. "Thunder and Lightning, lightning and thunder..." He was muttering incoherently and looking both ways down the tunnel, as if he feared something would materialize and kill them all. He was acting... insane, was a good choice of word.

Having faced down one creature already, she had expected more confrontation. The next Pokemon to interact with the small group of Trainers was a Dragon-Type. No way! - she thought. She had already captured four dragons, and she'd just been handed a fifth. She wasn't going to allow this chance to pass her by. It was in that moment she knew that she wanted to have the largest collection of dragons in Kanto. It had just become her goal, her dream, a plan formed in one moment.
She sent out one of her own Dragons; Dratini, into battle. With a single Ice Beam, Gible was knocked out. She threw out a Pokeball and it captured the Pokemon after shaking once, then twice, a third time and finally flashing once to signal it's capture of the dragon within.TL;DR Dratini used Ice Beam (-160, 0/110) Gible has fainted!
