 The Power Plant is a facility located on Route 10 in Kanto that was abandoned years before, though some of the machinery still works. It was refurbished at some time to provide power for the Magnet Train before the power plant in Johto was built, so this Power Plant has since been abandoned again. It became a home for Electric-type Pokémon when it was abandoned, and thus it is very dangerous to come through since most of the residents are territorial Voltorb and Electabuzz that don't take kindly to visitors.

She'd set out when she ran into the same Trainer. "I just remembered, the best place to train for Lt. Surge is the Power Plant. There are some strong Electric-Type Pokemon that live there." This piqued Kira's curiosity, and she decided to walk along beside him.
Barely taking two steps into the building, Lucy and Kira encountered a wild Pokemon. It was shaped and colored like a Pokeball, which quite confused the Trainer. "That's odd." She muttered as she aimed the Pokedex. -Voltorb, the Ball Pokemon. It was discovered when Pokéballs were introduced. It is said that there is some connection.-

She considered for a moment, but knew that this was the perfect opportunity to try her newest Pokemon. "Go, Onix!" The giant Pokemon erupted from the Pokeball, roaring and staring down the Electric-Type. The Voltorb used Electro Ball, before realizing that it was ineffective. The Pokemon's eyes got wide as Onix threw chunks of stone at it (-50, 130/180). The Voltorb was buried beneath the Rock Tomb, and Onix took the opportunity to hit it with a second Rock Tomb, burying it deeper (-50, 80/180). Voltorb shot a rapid succession of stars, blasting it's way out of the Rock Tomb. It quickly redirected the blast of Swift towards the massive Onix (-40, 80/120).
"Use Rock Tomb!" Onix scooped more earthen boulders, burying Voltorb beneath another Rock Tomb (-50, 30/180). Voltorb sent another stream of Swift stars at Onix, landing a direct hit to the bulky body (-40, 40/120).
Onix threw one more set of Rock Tomb, burying the Voltorb beneath the stones (-50, 0/180). The stones didn't move again, the Voltorb had fainted. "Good job, Onix!" She exclaimed, supplying enough Potion to restore Onix's health completely. "Return." The glowing red energy pulled Onix back into the Pokeball.

Continuing her walk along the Power Plant's interior, Kira was feeling good in her new outfit. A change was always nice now and then. Besides, this new backpack felt much sturdier and comfortable than her shoulder bag. It was more organized, too, with multiple different compartments. Walking along, her shoe tapped into something small and round. At first, she thought it was a Pokeball. It wasn't. The small, round, yellow orb rolled away. Lucy sped up to catch it.
Lucy dropped it into Kira's open hand. "Wait, I recognize this..." Kira muttered, thinking. She wasn't exactly sure why, or where she knew the small object from. "Oh, this is for Pikachu! It's a Light Ball..." It makes sense that it was in a place frequented by Electric-Type Pokemon. "Let's see if we can find the Pikachu that it belongs to."
They searched the different corners, nooks and crannies for a Pikachu, but they couldn't find one. "You know something, I've been thinking. Pikachu would be so much stronger if he were evolved." She hadn't used Pikachu for the Gym Battle because she was worried he wasn't strong enough. "I think I'm going to use the Thunder Stone."
Kira didn't know what was around the corner, but she was sure that she was ready for this evolution. She pulled out the Pokeball, throwing it into the air and revealing Pikachu. "Hey, what do you think of evolving and getting even stronger?"
"Pika-chu." The small mouse nodded happily, obviously the Pokemon was on board. Kira pulled out the Thunder Stone. Pikachu hopped over, pressing one palm against the stone. Pikachu began glowing, almost too bright for Kira to keep her eyes open. When Kira could see again without struggling to do so, Pikachu had changed into Raichu, a Pokemon nearly twice as tall and a darker shade of yellowish orange. "Rai-Rai!" The Pokemon padded over to Kira, and they hugged.

A levitating Pokemon wavered around the corner, dual magnets on either side of it's round, metal body. Kira hurriedly aimed her Pokedex at the wild Pokemon. -Magnemite, the Magnet Pokemon. The units at the sides of its body generate antigravity energy to keep it aloft in the air.- "Alright, you're mine!"
The wild Pokemon rushed towards Lucy before Kira could even send out another Pokemon. It's body sparked with electricity as it slammed into Lucy's abdomen (-50, 120/170). Lucy jumped up into the air, twisting her body and sending a dangerous Counter roundhouse kick to the round Pokemon (-200, 190/200).
Magnemite hurried forward, slamming into Magnemite with a second Spark attack (-50, 70/170). Lucy used Counter again, kicking the Pokemon even harder (-200, 0/200). The Magnemite flew back, hitting the wall and bouncing off to the floor. It struggled to rise into the air again, but fell back to the floor.
Kira threw an empty Pokeball, which pulled the Electric and Steel-Type inside. It shook once, twice, a third time, and then erupted as the Pokemon escaped. She quickly threw a second Pokeball. Her aim was a bit off, but the ball still tapped one of the magnets. The Pokemon, for a second time, was pulled inside. This time the Pokeball rocked back and forth three times, sealing with a flash of red at the center. "We caught Magnemite!" She exclaimed, hugging her Pokemon before healing Lucy entirely. "That was a great move!"

A massive explosion shook the entire Power Plant, so loud and powerful that it nearly took Kira from her feet. Smoke poured from around the corner. Lucy helped Kira back to her feet, and they both hurried off to investigate what had been the cause.
Following the source of the explosion, their first clue was the angry voice of a Trainer. "Why did I ever bother to catch you?! You're useless!" The harsh words caught the young Trainer by surprise. "If you can't even beat an Electrode, you're not worth my time." The random Trainer hadn't noticed Kira when he recalled his fainted Lapras, throwing the ball across the room. The Pokeball rolled towards Kira, coming to a stop at Kira's feet.
She crouched down, picking up the unfortunate Pokemon's container and looking down at it with sympathy. Suddenly, the Trainer spotted her. "What do you think you are doing? That's private property!" Suddenly, he seemed very angry. "Give it back, now!"
"I don't think so. Not with how you treated this poor Pokemon." Kira stowed the Pokeball into her bag. He pulled out a Pokeball of his own, calling out a small, round Water-Type Pokemon.
He glared at her, serious about his Pokemon. "Fine, get ready to battle. When I win, you are returning that."
"Fine. If I win, you freely give this Pokemon to me, and promise to be nicer to your Pokemon."

"Marill!" The small Pokemon's sing-song voice called out in an angry tone. This made the rude young Trainer smile in a way that Kira wanted to smack off of his face.
Kira pulled out a Pokeball of her own, throwing it up into the air. The Pokeball opened, unleashing a glowing red energy that materialized into her Raichu. "Use Electro Ball!" Electricity began to form around his lightning bolt-shaped tail. The enemy Marill used Aqua tail, bouncing in to meet Raichu's advancing attack. Both electrical and water-based attacking tails met at the same time (-40, 90/130)(-120, 200/320).
Marill used Aqua Tail again, twisting sharply and slamming the large round tail into Raichu's face (-40, 50/130). "They want to use the same move, we can too. Quick, use another Electro Ball!" Raichu jumped up, rolling forward into a sort of flip to shoot the Electro Ball at Marill (-120, 80/320).
"Raichu, use Volt Switch!" Raichu rushed forward, electricity streaking around it's face and head. Marill, however, had a different idea in mind.
"Use Play rough!" Marill's Trainer called out. Dodging Raichu's attack, Raichu slammed into a stationary piece of machinery left behind in the Power Plant. Marill lunged in, slamming into and then hitting Raichu repeatedly (-90, 0/130).
Raichu fainted, eyes showing his stunned condition. "Return!" She pulled Raichu back into it's Pokeball. "You did well, you've earned a rest."
"I'll be taking back Lapras, now." He grinned at her in that same, annoying way.
She nodded to Lucy. "You think I'm giving up that easily? This isn't over." Lucy stepped forward into battle, taking the cue. Kira's hand suddenly stopped the Pokemon, however. "Wait a minute, I should be thinking smarter. Fighting is weak against Fairy, and I almost forgot that Marill is part Fairy-type."
Instead, she threw out the Pokeball containing Aerodactyl.

The enemy Marill let out a shrill and angry cry, threatening the Trainer and her remaining Pokemon. This was a powerful and well-trained Pokemon, and Kira was beginning to worry that she'd made a mistake. It didn't matter though, her principles were on the line and she wasn't going to back down now. The Fossil-Pokemon known as Aerodactyl stretched it's wing and returned a far more threatening, screeching, echoing battle-cry.
"Alright, Aerodactyl..." She began, but the other Trainer cut her off again.
"Don't let them move, Marill! Use Play Rough!" The small round Water-Type Pokemon lunged forward, hitting, slapping, and harming the Aerodactyl (-90, 50/140). The winged-beast called out indignantly, surprised that the small Pokemon had the nerve to walk up and smack it around. It's teeth began to spark with electricity. Aerodactyl lunged forward, grabbing Marill in it's teeth and letting loose with the full power of his Thunder Fang (-100, 0/320.)
The cruel Trainer scoffed, recalling his Marill. "You couldn't even beat a big wussy bird? Lame." This stoked Kira's internal fire, and made her that much more determined to whoop this guy's ass.
"Return!" She pulled her own Pokemon back into it's Pokeball. It would depend on his next Pokemon, which one she would use herself. "Be my guest, Jerk!" She called out to him.

The unkind enemy of the young Kira pulled a second Pokeball from his pocket. He returned it to the full size, before throwing it into the air and releasing the Pokemon within. It appeared to be a small, floating, metal key-ring. "That's not a Pokemon usually seen around here, is it?" She spoke aloud, though mostly to herself. She aimed her Pokedex at the Pokemon. -Klefki, the Key Ring Pokemon. It never lets go of a key that it likes, so people give it the keys to vaults and safes as a way to prevent crime.- "That's interesting..." She muttered. "In that case, I'm choosing..." She threw out her own Pokeball, which materialized from the red energy into Charmeleon.

"Char!" The Fire-type called out it's challenge. The flame at the end of Charmeleon's tail was bright and burning hot, pumping the Pokemon up for a battle. Kira's Pokemon were always ready to go to war for her, they were best friends. It was stunning to her, that anyone could treat their Pokemon as poorly as this other Kid treated his own. It was almost an insult to her as a person.
Charmeleon sent a blast of Ember at the Klefki before it even had time to react, catching it by surprise (-60, 120/180). "Direct hit!" Kira exclaimed happily. Kira hadn't put her money on the enemy being burned, it didn't happen nearly enough for her to count on it. Still, she saw the realization dawn in his eyes as he realized the disadvantage him and his Pokemon were now in.
"Klefki, use Spikes!" The small Steel key-ring threw about a handful of small spikes that littered the floor around Charmeleon's feet. "There, now you if you switch, your Pokemon will take damage! And your Charmeleon is stuck there!" She could see the evil gleam of pride and malice in his eyes.

"We don't need to move. Charmeleon, use Ember!" Spitting a burning cinder at the enemy, the Ember attack hit Klefki directly in it's face (-60, 120/180). This time, the small Pokemon flared up, taking an additional 10 damage from the burn (-10, 110/180).Suddenly, Klefki returned it's full attention to the battle. It whipped up a strange, ominous wind that nearly swept Charmeleon over and caused it's tail flames to flicker about (-30, 100/130). The Fairy Wind attack had been a surprise indeed. It didn't matter though, one more Ember attack from Kira's Charmeleon ended the battle quickly (-60, 0/180)."Fine, we didn't need that weak Pokemon anyway. You may as well have this one as well." He threw another Pokeball aside, not caring about keeping it from hitting the floor and scuffing up the containment orb. "That lame Totodile is just as weak." He scoffed, turning quickly away frmo her. He recalled his Klefki and left with his Fairy Pokemon.

When she retrieved the discarded Pokeball, she discovered that it was dented in the worst possible place. The Pokeball couldn't be opened! She struggled with the device before slipping it into her backpack. She set out to find the Trainer with fire burning in her eyes. Finally, she found the other Trainer. He couldn't have been any older than her, but still she stormed up to him. Balling her hand into a tight fist, she thumped him in the face with all of her strength.
Holding his nose, his eyes were wide with pain and panic. "oo ill eget at!" She could tell he meant to say that she was going to regret that, but she didn't care. He turned tail and ran out of the Power Plant.
"That felt good..." She muttered, nodding at Lucy who hadn't made a move to stop the Trainer. Instead, the Pokemon was grinning. It was closely resembling pride, the expression on the Pokemon's face. The pair set out back into the depths of the Power Plant. Strategizing in that battle had worn Kira out, so Lucy and Kira sat against one wall and split a sandwich. The Redhead-Trainer finished with hers first, and began doodling with the Pokeball that, according to the asshole Trainer, held a Totodile. She couldn't get it to open.

Now that things had calmed down, Kira decided to call Charmeleon and Aerodactyl out of their Pokeballs. "You both did very well. Thank you." And with that, she gave them both enough Potion to heal them entirely and completely. Aerodactyl flopped down, curling up with it's large leathery wings as a make-shift blanket. Charmeleon also curled up, but closer to the Trainer. The flame from Charmeleon's tail kept Kira warm as she fell asleep as well. Lucy sat beside her Trainer, keeping guard until Charmeleon would wake up three hours later and take over the watch. Lucy fell asleep almost instantly.
Finally, everyone was awake and refreshed, ready for the day.... err, make that night. It was almost pitch-black in the essentially abandoned Power Plant. Random surges of electricity sent momentary bits of light in different directions. Charmeleon's tail was the most trustworthy form of light as they continued their exploration. While they worked, Kira again fiddled with the busted Pokeball.

After wandering around for a couple more hours, Kira finally managed to pry open the dented Pokeball. A sudden flash of red light shot past her face, and a Totodile stood in it's place. The small Pokemon looked around in confusion, this wasn't the Trainer it was expecting. "Hey there, my name is Kira! I'm your new Trainer." Her smile was genuine, and she wondered how the Water-type would take the news.
It hesitated a moment, thinking, but then it jumped into the air, kicking it's feet happily. "Totototototo!" It's amusing voice called out, surprising Kira.
"That's good news, then?" She asked, picking the Pokemon up into her arms. It nodded, and she smiled. So, they continued their exploration of the rather large Power Plant, the maze-like building that seemed to go on forever. She carried her new friend around in her arms.

The lights of the Power Plant suddenly flickered on and off, as if someone were playing around with the light switch. Kira and Lucy exchanged confused expressions, but a simple nod from each determined their next mission; to investigate the source. The pair set off, Totodile still held securely in her arms. They were hunting around the endless corners, dozens of dead ends, and massive bulky equipment that may or may not have been currently operational.
Finally, they found the source of the disturbances. Three small Pokemon were stacked one on top of the other. The base was a green Pokemon with a large head, the middle was a blue Pokemon with a gray, helmeted head, and the fourth was a small snake-like Pokemon, it's body curled up on top of the middle one's head for balance. The top Pokemon was sending small bursts of electrical energy into a control panel. "That's Thunder Wave..." Kira whispered to Lucy beside her. None of the trio had realized they were being watched, as their concentration was on their task at hand; disruption and chaos.
Suddenly, the stack of Pokemon became wobbly, falling over. Without hesitation, Kira rushed forward. "Are you all alright?" She asked, setting them all up onto their feet. She sprayed Potion into their wounds, and smiled at them. "There you go." She gave the Pokemon a sweet smile. They stood still, watching her with appreciation, but still watching her carefully either way. She opened her Pokedex, aiming it at them and listening. They were Trapinch, Bagon, and Dratini. The Trapinch was a different color than that of the Pokedex entry, which meant she had found yet another shiny Pokemon.

Two of the strange, little Pokemon seemed to take a shine to Kira. The Dratini and Trapinch were interacting with her, but the Bagon seemed more stand off-ish. The Dratini began nosing at her bag. She opened it, pulling out random items to figure out what the Pokemon was interested in. It ignored the sandwiches, the various items, finally pressing it's nose to an empty Pokeball. Kira was surprised, the Dratini had wanted to go with her. Trapinch showed equal urgency to tag along. It chose it's own Pokeball, just like Dratini had. Bagon wasn't as forth-coming. It clearly wasn't happy about the Pokeball, but finally chose one. Clearly, the Bagon did not want to be left behind without it's friends.
The sudden flapping of wings caught Kira off guard. There had been a fourth Pokemon, watching from above. It had been perched on top of one of the massive pieces of machinery. It swooped down, barely missing Kira's head. Apparently all four of these small Pokemon just loved to cause mischief... but if two of them wanted to be caught, then maybe this other one would as well. She pulled out a fourth and final Pokeball, throwing it into the air. The purple bat swooped down again, meeting it mid-air. The bat was pulled inside with a glowing red energy. Kira stored the Pokeball with the other four that she'd recently come into possession of; the Bagon, Trapinch, Dratini, and Lapras. Totodile squaked up at her curiously, wondering when it would be able to meet the others.
"This has been quite the eventful day." She spoke to Toto and Lucy. "We have so many new friends, but I'm not ready to leave the Power Plant just yet. When we finally are done here, I don't plan on coming back. We need to keep moving forward in our hunt for the Gym Badges."

Kira knew she had plenty of decision-making to do. According to the Pokedex, the new Dragons she had caught would eventually grow into very powerful allies. It would also take plenty of patience to train them, as they required quite a few more levels than most to evolve. She sat herself down against the wall, and Lucy stood beside her, apparently too restless to sit herself. "Alright... Machop, Raichu. Come on out." She released the two Pokemon from the red-and-white Pokeball in identical streams of glowing red energy. "Would you two please keep an eye on Totodile? You can explore a bit, but don't go too far please."
"Rai-rai!" Raichu agreed happily, but Machop was already on the hunt for an opponent to test his skill, his ability as a fighter. Kira leaned her head back against the wall as her trio of friends went off on their own. She closed her eyes, struggling to decide what she would possibly do.
She risked a glance over at Lucy. The two were very close, they shared a bond. They were often in each other's head, and Lucy already knew about Kira's dilemma. "Our friends will never truly leave us. You are, however, allowed to make new friends. I do not think they would mind if you sent them to Professor Oak's Laboratory."
"I just... I feel so bad. How would you feel if I just sent you away without so much as a goodbye?"
They held each other's gaze for a minute, before Lucy replied. "I wouldn't like it..." She finally admitted, turning her head away.
