Skylar had gotten into a tough spot with a strong Lilleep, and it seemed that the Arcanine he had just wasn't willing to listen in the battle. It was a shame really, but it was a brand new Pokemon to him that had no idea probably about how to act with a trainer, so it only made sense. But he had to head back to the Pokemon Center in the campgrounds, and Rhienne understood as Wattson walked with them as well, though Valor took a moment to take on a battle with a Medicham and became victorious with his powerful dragon type attacks.
Eventually Skylar came back over the fields that they were in, finding Rhienne and her Pokemon once more, apologizing for his need to take trips back to the center here and there.
"You're brand new to all of this stuff I'm sure, I can't blame you for trying to take care of your Pokemon," Rhienne replied, looking down to the trainer from Nara's back through her glasses.
"But be careful with that Arcanine? It could be really dangerous if it doesn't listen to you," she continued. Despite only knowing this trainer for only a few hours at most, she wasn't one to wish harm on others, and certainly not a firey death of sorts either.
"You didn't come here with me? I came here with you since this was your idea," Rhienne began though as Skylar had thanked her for being at the reserve despite his necessary trips to the Pokemon Center.
"Aviabra was right, I don't really know what I'm supposed to be doing right now, so I guess anything is better than nothing," Rhienne admitted, her shoulders falling slightly as she spoke, but she was here none the less, and almost enjoying her time as it were taking on the strong Pokemon that were here. Valor stayed close behind, though he was always one of the less social of the bunch, but Rhienne was never concerned about Valor being able to take care of himself. They started coming across a dense patch of trees where it started to get dark due to the shade, but Rhienne paid no mind as Skylar began talking to her. She contemplated his words, saying that she was in fact enjoying her time here at the reserve, and she was on some level, if only for the fact that she wasn't standing around Mahogany Town trying to figure out what to do next.
"You're right, I am, this just isn't quite my forte. We're not really avid battlers as though we intend to take on a region champion or anything, but this is still a good time, always good practice," Rhienne admitted, patting the side of Nara's neck as she spoke. She wasn't sure, and didn't think she would know for a while, what it was she was supposed to be doing now on her travels, or if she was really meant to continue traveling at all, though she stole a glance at the amethyst ring that still remained on her finger. There was something for her to be doing, she supposed, she just wasn't sure she was ready for that yet. Skylar though went on about how one day he would like to have a battle with her and her Pokemon one day, though of course after he'd had a few gym battles and much more practice.
"Yeah, one day we could have a battle. I mean, we're nothing special really that would necessitate such rigorous training, but you just started out, so it would be kind of unfair," Rhienne agreed, looking down to him again.
"Gym battles are a good place to start though, they can give you a good challenge and help you learn what to work on next," she continued.
In the darkness though of the trees, through the shadows, a Mismagius came in for an attack, but was caught by Wattson's expert foresight skills. He came in with a Dark Pulse attack and was met with a powerful fire spell, but the wolf was able to take the hit in order to finish the battle against the ghost. Watching the trainer on the legendary Pokemons back as they started walking through the plains he did his best to keep up with the pace of the large pokemon, many thoughts running through his head. He hoped and most definitely would become stronger, someday. He was caught a bit off guard as the wild ghost type came out, but didn't see much action between them. He watched carefully for their surroundings having a chilling feeling crawl up his spine as a Phantump came speeding out of the forest. Espeons ears flickered and jumped infront of her trainer getting ready to attack. Seeing the Psychic type in the way it started to lay a curse on the pokemon. Espeon quickly launches its new move shadow ball to send it back, but the curse afflicted the poor pokemon and giving phantump the chance to gain its life back it drains its power and renders Espeon unable to battle, Ponyta came out as it was soon seeded and slowly its energy started to drain but being fast enough it flared up and spun crashing into the pokemon sending it away unable to battle. Phantump used curse Phantump 200/400 Espeon had a curse laid on her Espeon used Shadow ball Phantump 40/400 Espeon suffers from Curse 30/40 Phantump used Horn Leech Epson fainted Phantump 60/400 Sent out Ponyta Phantump used Leech seed Ponyta used Flame Wheel. She had scanned in her Pokedex to give them the proper information, and within moments she was set to go out onto the reserve grounds. She came back out of the small building to meet Azuran who was waiting patiently, but ever intently, for her as he leaned down to her.
"Where do we go from here," he asked her as she adjusted her bag in order to get ready to move again. Emiri took a look out to the tree line where she could see the sun shining through the branches and leaves, and she couldn't help but wonder just exactly what kind of Pokemon she might find out there if this place claims to have seen every species there is.
"Out there. There was a map on the wall inside, and it looks like this place is almost the size of a whole region. We'll have plenty to explore, and a lot of training to get into I'm sure," Emiri replied.
In moments Azuran was lifting above the tree line and began his way out into the vast expanse of the reserve, and Emiri figured that they would just be able to pick a spot and spend their time out on the land to begin training. Azuran landed when Emiri had said, and they came across a Lunatone that seemed to want to challenge them, and Emiri let out Flareon to begin letting out the rest of her Pokemon, letting the fire type take the battle. This will be good for usWearing: www.polyvore.com/emiri/set?id=97959019Out of Ball: Azuran, Flareon, Charizard, Lynno, Kovu, Blastoise, and Ho-OhOOC: -- Settling out in the open fields of the reserve, Emiri let out a few more of her Pokemon that she knew would enjoy having the time out, or who she knew was wanting to take advantage of the training opportunity. Charizard appeared from her pokeball beside Azuran, and Lynno, Kovu, Blastoise, and even Ho-Oh appeared to enjoy the reserve. Emiri knew that this opportunity, being out somewhere that was away from society, and that was certainly protected from any threats or seige of any enemy organizations, that this would be the first time in a long time that she and her Pokemon were really truly safe. There was so much that she needed to catch up on, making sure that Charizard was feeling better, getting her team back on track to training for the elite four, and training Kovu how to fly again, and knowing that she was safe here and that there was nothing she needed to worry about save for the next Pokemon that might challenge them to a battle, it was truly freeing and invigorating to know that she had that freedom.
"You guys are free to look around and have fun. We're all going to be spending some time on things we want to work on, training and stuff. We'll get in some flying practice, make sure we're using each battle as an opportunity to get stronger, and start getting back to what we've been missing," Emiri spoke as she looked out to her Pokemon, even feeling safe enough here to have Ho-Oh out in the open as Emiri came to take the phoenix's beak in her hands, stroking his soft feathers.
Flareon was the first to find another battle as a Jumpluff floated towards them, and it attacked first to initiate the battle against the fire type, though Flareon did well to defeat the grass puff and secure a victory for himself. He too wanted to take this opportunity to get stronger, knowing that he had a lot of training to get back after he had been through so much, and being out here in this place, he felt like he could do just that. Rubbing his head from the sweat of a battle and as well as the worry of his pokemon, Skylar returned his pokemon to have them get healed up. Coming over to Rhienne he looked up at her yet again before scanning across the plains. "Well what other areas of the Reserve are there, it seems like there is more. She had to give it to him and his Pokemon though, despite how new they were at things, their tenacity and inability to give up seemed insatiable. No matter how many times Skylar had to run back to the Pokemon center, he and his Pokemon both came back swinging just as hard as they did the first time. That was going to be a good quality as he moved on to train more seriously, started learning more about what it would take to thrive in such a competitive world, and Rhienne didn't see any sign of him getting discouraged really, so he had that going for him too. While Skylar was off at the Pokemon Center once more, Wattson had gotten himself into a scuffle with a Pignite that had come for them through the tall grass, and Wattson was happy to square off with the fellow fighting type, an innate, ever present instinct to have a show of strength, especially against his own kind. In the end, Wattson won, and moments later Skylar was coming back to them once more through the field, his Chikorita just beside him, and an oddly colored Amaura following behind him too, another new addition it seemed.
"I'm not really sure? It looks like its all one big giant field to me, and I don't think we should try to go too far since you might need the Pokemon center," Rhienne replied, trying to give him his best chance of coming out of this place okay with his Pokemon, knowing that the Pokemon Center was kind of necessary for him.
"But if you want to go further through the field, we can, and either Nara could run you back because she's fast, or we could teleport you there if you really need it," she continued, at least giving him the option to not need to tether himself to the Pokemon Center if he wanted to take it. " You said you were form Ecurteak as well right? Well may i ask why you moved there? Yeah I know its a rather old city but why of all places in that particular city." He asked her this and had more questions that maybe she could answer. " And why did you become a trainer. Being as far north as they were, further north than Johto certainly, the air was only mildly warm, and the breezes that would brush through the grass brought a refreshing cool with each pass. Out in the middle of this field, with nothing around them, not even other trainers it seemed really because of how big this reserve really was, Rhienne felt peaceful and for the first time in a long time, not so lost as she had been. She didn't know how long it would last, but she was enjoying it while she could. She watched though as Skylar moved to sit on the ground, and didn't seem in any rush to go anywhere, so Rhienne motioned for Nara to take a break as the great tiger laid down on her four paws beneath Rhienne, Balto following suit, and Rhienne nodded to Valor and Wattson to give the okay for them to wander as they would like. It was then that Wattson got into a small battle with a Charmander that tried to take its opportunity to engage in battle, though the small lizard was hard pressed to win against the fighting type despite its best efforts.
"Like I said, she's pretty good around other people, doesn't make much confrontation, but if you cross her, that's when you'll have trouble," Rhienne replied again for the tiger who laid on the ground with her fore paws stretched out in front of her on the ground, and paying no mind to the conversation that was about her own self. Rhienne remained on her back though, only sitting there in idleness as Skylar had chosen to do, when she looked to him at a new series of questions that just came out all at once. Why did she live in Ecruteak City? What was there for her and her family? Why did she become a trainer? What made her want to leave home? There were about five too many questions than Rhienne was willing to handle at one time, and frankly she still wasn't the most sociable person one could meet, but so far Skylar hadn't annoyed her to the point of chosing to be stand offish, and she hadn't really been around anyone socially since Mika had left either...
"Okay twenty questions, how about we just do one at a time," Rhienne replied, a bit taken a back by the sudden questions, but she digressed. She couldn't be a shut in all the time.
"I was born in Newbark Town, but my mom lived and grew up in Ecruteak City, so when I was a little older, she convinced my dad to move back, so we did," Rhienne began, remembering too that that was the time she had left her extended family, her cousin Emiri.
"My mom studies dark, psychic, ghost, and fairy type Pokemon, all the types and Pokemon that don't really have a place in the natural order of things around here, and her roots were in Ecruteak where the spiritual energy is really great for all the work that she does. So yeah, it's an old city, but that's what makes it so full of life, but in a different kind of way, the after life," Rhienne answered, knowing that was why and how she had such strong ties to the supernatural and psychic types and things of the like, it was all because of her mother.
"What about you though? Aviabra said it first, but she's right, you feel pretty normal. Did you grow up in Ecruteak, or did you just move there," Rhienne returned the question. Skylar gave a smile promising not to cross the raikou as he reaches a hand out to pet her. " Sorry about bombarding you." he said nervously " I normally am not one to ask so many questions, but it just is a nice day, and i dont want it to just be spent in silence, I dont like it ever since i was in school." he told her. As the questions surfaced and she gave her answers he then got a question of his own. " Yeah i lived in Ecruteak my whole life, i was even there when the brass tower got burned to the ground." he said looked down at the grass. That day was sad for the people of the city, but also giving a new meaning to life from that special event that took place. Even more so being at Marcellus' house, where she did feel safe and comfortable, she just couldn't be herself really there she felt like, all the traveling and training that she did was lost on staying around his property. Here she felt like she could really get back to how things used to be, battling and training and getting back to her roots with her team., and she really did like the feeling as she watched Flareon get into a battle with an Illumise off in the distance.
"What place is this," Ho-Oh asked as he stood beside Emiri, having taken to the feeling of her hands smoothing over his feathers as he remained calm and still beside her. Emiri gave a small smile as his silver beak shimmered in the high afternoon sun, and she let go of him so he could stand up straighter if he would like.
"This is something called a nature reserve, where all different kinds of Pokemon can all be found in one place, where they live in safety and protection for miles and miles," Emiri answered, watching the phoenix stretch his wings, different sparkles of rainbow and color flashing over the grass around them as he moved with his reflective feathers.
"Are we going to stay here," he questioned with a turn of his head, wrapping his head around the idea of a place so big, and somewhere that sounded so important like Emiri was talking about.
"For a little bit. But we're not going to stay in one place for a long time any more like we did at Marcellus' home," Emiri replied, looking up to the fire type.
"Does that mean we're going to go different places like we used to all the time," he inquired, and Emiri could hear the small amount of excitement in his voice, still having been none the wiser on what happened to them those weeks ago, just knowing that they were going to stay with Marcellus for a while.

He hadn't felt like they weren't in mortal danger for a long time, and it was really a nice feeling knowing that for once in what he felt like had been ages that they were relatively safe. Getting back on track he knew wouldn't be exactly easy, but he was willing to try. He knew that he was on the roster for the Elite Four battle which he still did very much want to participate in, so he figured that he could try to make the most out of this training experience. He wondered if he would find any strong opponents, anything out in this field to really test his mettle against, and as he came up to a lone standing tree, he felt something hit him on the head. He looked up with a scowl, and a Treecko was hanging from one of the branches, having thrown a rock or something at his head.
"This is my tree," the grass type insisted in a quick voice, clinging to the trunk of the tree as he looked down to the turtle.
"Good for you. You don't have to throw things," Blastoise glowered, rubbing his head, but the Treecko took another aim and threw a rock at him again.
"Leave my tree," the gecko warned, glaring now at Blastoise, and the turtle looked around, seeing if any of his teammates were around to witness this, though there were none.
"Well what are you going to do? You're just a little thing," Blastoise almost chuckled, but he was cut off as the Treecko manifested a large energy ball attack and took aim, firing a warning shot down into the ground, creating a well sized crater. Blastoise stared in almost disbelief at the power that little thing had, but he was not going to stand for being pushed around by a little gecko like that.

"Ho-Oh, you can go walk around, and you can fly a little bit, but you can't go too far, okay? You have to stay close. If you can't see Charizard's flame on her tail, you've gone too far and you need to come back," Emiri spoke carefully to the phoenix. She knew he was a good listener and was learning, he just always needing a tether of sorts, somethig that he could come back to and focus on. Fire was something that he could relate to, and she knew that his sight was far better than her own. He did have a wide range that he could go explore now as long as he could see Charizard's tail, and Emiri knew that he would take heed to her words. He looked up to Charizard, recognized her as an authority figure, and did try to do right by her, as well as he ever could.
"Okay, stay where I can see Charizard. Don't go too far," he repeated, nodding along with his words to make sure he articulated each request. He ed his head though for only a momet, looking out in the distance where Flareon had gotten into another battle with a Hitmonchan, his own fire distracting him and catching his attention.
"What happens if I get in a battle," he asked, knowing that it was only so often that he got to battle, he didn't get to train as rigorously as the other Pokemon on Emiri's team.

Rhienne took a glance out around their small area of the reserve to make sure her Pokemon were staying close, and Wattson had gotten into a battle with a strange looking rodent type Pokemon that Rhienne had never seen before, but it ran off after losing to the fighting type before she could really get a good look at it. Emiri sighed, knowing that she was still tired from being so sick, having so much power and different kinds of energy moving through her body could be no easy thing to deal with, but Emiri was glad that she was at least settled for now, and Azuran was keeping her safe and tending to her when she needed it. Kovu was taking a bit of time to look around the area and start getting comfortable being out and about somewhere that wasn't Marcellus' property where he had spent so much time, and Lynno had taken to stretching his wings and flying around the skyline, though Blastoise came trudging back over the grass after having wandered a bit down the way, his cannons still bared from the battle he had taken against that spunky Treecko.
"I'm not sure about this place Emiri. The Pokemon are kind of aggressive," Blastoise spoke tentatively, brushing some dirt from his scales on his arm as he came closer to his trainer.
"We could go anywhere and come across agressive Pokemon Blastoise? It's just up to us to make sure that we don't do any harm, just defending yourself if something is really attacking you," Emiri replied, knowing that her Pokemon knew the difference between battling for training or practice, and battling to assert themselves and attacking without cause. Her Pokemon would never go out of their way to attack or make a mess of things anywhere they went, only using their abilities and any challenges they might make for practice and being a good sport about any situation.
"Yeah, I guess... I just don't appreciate having rocks thrown at me when I get to close to a tree," the turtle grumbled, looking out to Flareon who had encountered a Gengar that came up at him through his own shadow, and the dog wasn't going to have it as he retaliated with his own shadow ball.
"You can just stay close then Blastoise if you don't want to go too far. I just thought we could try to get in some practice after having been inactive for so long. "You're working on challenging the Elite Four," a voice asked, and Emiri turned with Blastoise beside her to find an older male trainer approaching them through the grass, with a very peculiar Pokemon standing beside him that Emiri had never seen before. It certain wasn't indegenous to any of the regions she had traveled to, she'd never seen it around her ranch or from any of the trainers that had traveled to Kanto. It was very tall, with black and striking red fur, a bipedal feline looking Pokemon with large strong arms and a rather intimidating stance. Standing next to the Pokemon that Emiri just didn't recognize was a trainer that Emiri could tell was a bit older than her, a tall thin male with dark almost black hair and brown eyes, dressed of course to be out and about in jeans and a worn jacket, surely no stranger to traveling and knowing what it takes to be a trainer.
"Yeah, I'm working on it," Emiri answered tentatively, stepping in closer to Blastoise who stood tall to size himself against the tiger looking Pokemon that stood indifferently with crossed arms.
"Your Pokemon looks really strong, are you close to your challenge? How many trial stamps do you have," he asked, though Emiri and Blastoise looked at each other with confusion before looking back to the trainer.
"Trial stamps? I have gym badges, but I don't know what trial stamps are," Emiri questioned, terribly confused about what it was he was talking about. She'd never heard about trial stamps before, was that something that she needed in order to challenge the Elite Four and she just didn't know it?
"Oh right, I'm not on the islands any more, I always forget," he chuckled lightly, and his Pokemon nudged him with a sort of laugh too.
"Sorry, I'm not from around here. In the Alola Region, you have to challenge trial captains, I'm still getting used to the idea of, what are they, gym leaders here? It's all kind of confusing," he digressed, apologising for the confusion that he'd caused Emiri. She had to think though, the Alola Region? She knew she'd heard the name before, somewhere in the world, but she had never been there, and had no idea where it was. For traveling as far as she had, she couldn't have fathomed that there was something so far south from the regions she had visited.
"The Alola Region? There's a region of islands," Emiri asked, having never even imagined such a series of islands, even the Orange Islands or the Sevii Islands, they weren't considered regions because the island series were smaller.
"Yeah, its very far south from here, but I had never been to any of the mainland regions. I heard about this place, and wondered if it would be a good training opportunity since I'd never left Alola. I wanted to expand my training before I went on to challenge our own Pokemon league," he spoke, and Emiri couldn't imagine having stayed in one region for so long since she had been all over the world at this point in her life.
"So you have all of your trial stamps like I do all of the gym badges from Kanto," Emiri asked, trying to relate to this trainer who was from so far away, but they seemed to have something really important in common.
"Yeah, I do, I am ready to challenge our Pokemon League. Can I see your gym badges? I've never seen one before," he asked, curious about something so foreign to him. Emiri smiled before reaching around to her bag, and searching for only a moment before she found her badge case, bringing it out of the pocket.
"Yeah, sure. All of my badges are from the Kanto Region, but I do have a few from the Sinnoh Region," Emiri replied, handing over her badge case for him to look at as he looked at them intently. Emiri in turn took a look up to the tiger Pokemon as she had stepped closer to the trainer, its yellow eyes staring down at her.
"Can I look at your Pokemon? I've never seen this Pokemon before," Emiri asked, looking at the trainer first.
"Oh yeah, don't let him intimidate you. He's been that way since he was a Litten," the trainer smiled, stepping off to the side to look up at his Pokemon.
"His name is Rals, and he's called an Incineroar. He's a fire/dark type Pokemon, and as a Litten, you can get them from Professor Kukui in Alola," he mentioned, looking over Emiri's badges as she smiled up at the Pokemon that she had been introduced to.
"He looks really strong. You've been training with him since you got him from your Professor," Emiri asked, taking her badge case back from the trainer as he'd handed it back to her.
"Yeah, we've been through it all on Alola. What about you? This Blastoise, he's just as strong I'm sure. Was he your starter Pokemon? They're from the Kanto region like you mentioned, right," he asked, looking at Blastoise who shook his head at the question.
"Yeah, Squirtle are one of the Pokemon that Professor Oak in Kanto will give new trainers, but a few years ago I chose a Charmander, so she is over there," Emiri replied, pointing over to Charizard who was asleep still with Azuran out in the grass, though she coughed again in her sleep and started to stir, and Azuran nudged closer to her as he woke with a small start, trying to ease her back into a calm.
"Oh wow, she looks incredible, and that bigger flying Pokemon too. It's a shame though, it doesn't look like she's feeling too good. I actually wanted to challenge you to a battle, you sound like you know what you're doing as a trainer," he mentioned, sounding a little let down at the possibility of not being able to challenge another strong trainer like himself. Emiri looked out to Charizard and worried about her, but just because Charizard was still a little sick, didn't mean that Emiri couldn't battle.
"Blastoise and I could battle you? The practice would be worth it, if you want," Emiri asked, looking up to Blastoise with a small plea, and he looked from Emiri to the tall fire type beside the male, and the Incineroar nodded at him, as if he were squaring off and getting ready for this battle.

This will be good for usWearing: www.polyvore.com/emiri/set?id=97959019Out of Ball: Azuran, Flareon, Charizard, Lynno, Kovu, Blastoise, and Ho-OhOOC: -- The battle against the trainer that had introduced himself as Dylon was very invigorating, and really made Emiri feel like she was back in her more competative days when she was collecting her gym badges. It turned out that he was a fire type trainer and had many powerful and impressive fire type Pokemon, Rals the Incineroar included, and another very interesting Pokemon called a Salazzle that was also from the Alola region. The battle was intense, and Emiri found that she had Lynno and Flareon on standby who were watching the battle just in case Blastoise needed to substitute with someone, but the turtle held on strong through each opponent, taking their fire and taking their blows and coming back each time even stronger with his cannons. Emiri had hoped that the competitive nature of the battle, and the notion of their days before such peril would have struck Kovu's interest, but the dragon still stayed off to the side, a bit sullen as he watched a few Pokemon fly in the distance. Emiri knew she would need to really work with him to get him back to any state of normal. Blastoise evidently won the battle, and Emiri thanked Dylon for the battle graciously, really having enjoyed the challenge, and in turn making a sort of friend. Her Pokemon dispersed and Flareon got himself into another battle with an odd little arachnid Pokemon, and Dylon said goodbye to make his way towards the Pokemon center at the head of the reserve, and invited Emiri to look for him should she ever find herself in the Alola region. This will be good for usWearing: www.polyvore.com/emiri/set?id=97959019Out of Ball: Azuran, Flareon, Charizard, Lynno, Kovu, Blastoise, and Ho-OhOOC: -- The battle over and won, and a new prospective friend met, Emiri gave Blastoise some well deserve healing after taking on an entire team of Pokemon by himself, a feat not easily completed by most. So far, Emiri had only seen one of her Pokemon do just that, when they had landed on Cinnabar Island and Charizard managed against that team of steel types and that trainer who should have known better than to run his mouth. It was a true test of strength, and Blastoise couldn't belive that he might be at the top tier of what he's seen his other teammates be capable of, it was kind of surreal to him. Off to the side Flareon was continuing to explore the area around them as he tried to test his mettle in the battles that he could find, and came across a large Electivire that he took on in a challenge.
Walking through the grass after making sure Blastoise was alright after the battle, Emiri walked over to Kovu whom she had been glancing at through the battle, hoping to catch at least a moment of his attention, but it seemed that he just didn't quite have his fire back. The stitches in his wings were all healed, the membrane might still be a little tender, but she knew that he wanted to start getting back to normal, it just might not be as easy as either of them might hope. The breezes of the open land brushed over the grass as it swept through Emiri's hair and through Kovu's folded wings as she approached him, still calmly and softly so as to not startle him. He was still antsy, and on edge at times about every little thing that might happen around him, so it was always best to approach him with a calm intention. Emiri's movement caught his attention as his ears lifted slightly, and his green eyes turned to focus on her.
"How are you feeling Kovu," Emiri asked, coming closer to the dragon. He looked at her for a moment before shifting where he sat on the ground, lifting one wing and then the other, kind of grumbling to himself. She waited for him to settle before moving closer still, lifting her small hands to take his large head and stroke the smooth texture of his scales beneath her fingers. He hesitated for just a moment, and Emiri knew it was always going to be due to the scar that now shown on her left arm, but he began to lean into her touch as he let out a soft, subtle purr.
"There's my boy," Emiri whispered softly, and he leaned into her even more then where she could feel his weight against her, the natural warmth of his scales. Every day he was getting more and more comfortable being around her again, losing the fear of hurting her or losing control of himself and reverting to that nightmarish feral state that he had been forced into, and it made Emiri so inexplicably happy to know that she was slowly starting to get him back. She stood up straighter beside him as she scratched under his chin, and another breeze brushed over them all, and she could feel Kovu's body shift with the wind, his natural talent and most innate instinct always there.
"Let me see your wings Kovu, let's see how you're doing without the stitches," Emiri asked gently as she stepped away from him, hoping that she could maybe start working with Kovu and his wings again, to maybe give him some part of his life back.
