"No, Kovu was the only one that did," Emiri answered, and she could tell that her Pokemon held in a sigh or a groan for the sake of their teammate.
"But, we know that she has white fur, is about as tall as Kovu. She has a long tail, and horns, and feathered wings," Emiri relayed what she knew that Kovu was able to tell her, but she could tell that none of the attributes that she described made any sense to her Pokemon as they looked to one another with perplexed expressions.
"What kind of Pokemon has fur and feathers? I'm pretty sure all of us either have feathers or scales. Or at least I have feathers," Lynno questioned.
"Emiri, are you sure that's what we're looking for," Azuran asked as he glanced at Kovu.

"She could be, but we should assume that she's injured because of the Pokemon that attacked her and Kovu," Emiri answered, and her Pokemon contemplated the possibility knowing that that could change things.
"If she's injured, she's probably scared and aggressive, so approach with caution. I know any one of you would treat her with compassion and care to let her know that she's in good hands," Emiri continued, and her Pokemon nodded in agreement with her.
"What are we going to do with the egg in the mean time? We need to make sure it can be kept safe," Azuran asked as he moved forward on the shoulders of his wings. Emiri looked down to the egg in her arms and thought about it for a moment. She knew Kovu kept the egg safe, but she should make sure that the egg wasn't harmed at all and she could maybe even find out what species it is if she brought it to the Pokemon Center on the reserve.

"That's a good idea, we need everyone able to to go out and find her. Charizard, Kovu and I will go to the Pokemon Center, and the rest of you will make sure to try and find her," Emiri agreed, but she earned a snuff and a growl from Kovu beside her who shook his head at her proposal, standing slowly on his broad legs.
"Kovu, you're hurt, and you're still weak. You can't go out there alone," Emiri tried to reason, knowing that when he set his mind on something, it was almost impossible to get him to rethink his decision, but she just couldn't risk him getting hurt again.
"I"ll go with him? We can look for her together," Nimbus spoke up, and despite Kovu's reluctance, if that was the only way he was going to be able to go out and look for her, then he supposed he'd have to take it.
"Alright Nimbus, thank you," Emiri smiled.

"You really think one of them will be able to find her before sunset," Charizard asked as she watched Azuran take off into the air, just as Flix and Lynno had in their own directions.
"I'm not sure, but we need to try. We can't risk being out here alone at night, we've seen how strong some of these Pokemon can be, I don't want anyone to get hurt," Emiri replied as she looked up to her longest companion, holding the egg close again to her body.
"What happens if we can't find her," the dragon asked after a moment, looking down to the egg with her blue eyes, hesitation and concern clear in her tone. Emiri had that question in the back of her mind the entire time she had been briefing her Pokemon and talking with Kovu to try and figure out what the mother was, but it was a question she didn't want to answer or had the answer to. She knew there might be the possibility of not being able to find the mother, at which point they would be entirely responsible for the egg and whatever happens to it, but Emiri wanted to try with every thing she could not to bring it with her. She was still having a hard enough time accepting Nimbus into the team knowing what dangers she faced and the things that could happen to him, and while she knew that he was strong with his fight against Blastoise, this egg... it was a baby, a brand new life to the world, just like Venusaur had been those years ago. She knew for certain that they wouldn't be able to care for a baby, be able to giving the nuturing environment that was necessary for growth and important developmental stages, especially if she had to worry every day that something might happen to it. Not being able to find the mother wasn't an option, not one that Emiri could see, but there had to be something that she could do for the egg just in case...
As Emiri's Pokemon started to split up and look for the mother of the egg, Flix had started into the air but found Venusaur on the ground struggling with two Pokemon that had approached him, and the dragon came from the air to try and stop the fighting to help Venusaur in the battle.

"Well, with any luck, one of them will find the mother and we won't have to make that decision," Charizard replied, knowing it would be tough to try and give up the egg to the Pokemon center. Emiri nodded, looking out into the distance and finding Azuran's figure growing smaller still as she glanced to the ground at Charizard's tail that was swirling in a small gentle flurry of snowflakes.
"How are you feeling," Emiri asked tentatively as she looked up to the dragon, knowing that she had remained distant in their time on the reserve in her recovery. Charizard looked at her tail and sighed, and tried to focus the best that she could, and after a moment or two the snowflakes melted away and gave way to a small flame.
"It's definitely something new," the dragon breathed, just the effort in trying to put her energies back to normal taking a toll on her.
"You know just like I do that everything happens for a reason. There must be a reason that you've been granted this power, like Cronus said," Emiri returned softly.
Azuran was moving through the air at a steady pace, scanning the ground with his keen eyes to try and find this white winged Pokemon that they were looking for when his eyes caught sight of Flareon on the ground struggling with an Arbok that had cornered him, and Azuran grunted as he came down from the air to help the fire type, not wantin the snake to be able to do too much damage.

"There's just a lot I'm still trying to figure out," Charizard said after a moment.
"Well I'm here for you, and I know Azuran is too. We'll make it through this together," Emiri replied as she looked out to the reserve around them, to the north where she knew the head of the facilitiy was and the Pokemon Center.
"Could you make it to the Pokemon Center? Or should I ask Salamence to take me," Emiri asked to change the subject as she looked back up to Charizard.
"I've just been sick, it's not like my wings are broken," Charizard snuffed lightly.
"I know, but I don't want to make anything worse. I'm just trying to look out for you," Emiri defended, knowing that Charizard would always push herself, but sometimes she really didn't need to. Charizard digressed though as her tougher demeanor calmed and she looked at Emiri with softer blue eyes. She knew Emiri only ever wanted whats best for any of them and would do her best to keep their best interests at heart, but Charizard offered to take Emiri to the Pokemon Center, and that's what she intended to do.

"Just worry about that egg, we'll be at the center in a few minutes," Charizard commented as she made sure Emiri was set. She took a steady breath before she opened her always impressive wings and stood up straight, beginning to move and flap her wings as she dust and dirt rose in circles on the ground beneath her feet. The grass rustled and the bushes moved at the increasing power of her wings pushing against the ground, and in a few moments Charizard was lifting from the ground and rising into the air. Charizard's breath was becoming slightly labored, but that didn't stop her any as Emiri held on to her neck with her free hand, and Charizard moved forward as she started to move over the grass. She felt like, even in just the week that she had been sick, that it had been forever since she had been in the air and she basked in the feeling of the wind moving over her scales as she glided over the fields. She gave herself a little altitude as she rose higher into the air, and with her wing span she was able to glide through the air, only needing to flap her wings so often to keep herself aloft, making for an easy flight, or as easy as it could be.

Holding the egg in one arm and keeping herself steady on Charizard's back with the other, Emiri rode back with her companion over the grass and fields to reach the southern part of the reserve that they had come to earlier that day, trying to come back to the tree that she had designated as the return point for all of her Pokemon. The sun was going down now, and it would surely be night time within the hour, and Emiri only hoped that just one of her Pokemon might come back with good news. As important as she knew it was to find the mother of the egg, she didn't want to risk having her Pokemon out in the reserve in the middle of the night with how aggressive it seemed some of these Pokemon could get. Skirting over tree tops and gliding over the grass, it was a few minutes later that Emiri and Charizard had made it back to the spot in the reserve they had taken up for the day, but it seemed that none of her Pokemon had returned to the spot as Charizard landed on the ground. The dragon came to a slow stop, stumbling just a bit as she touched ground while her breathing had become more labored again, but through the exertion, she felt good about getting back into the air and putting in the work for something. She stopped on the ground as she leaned down for Emiri to come off of her neck, laying down on the ground herself to rest for just a little bit as Emiri looked out into the grass and fields around them.

Sitting there with Charizard in the calm and the quiet of the reserve, leaning against her warm scales, Emiri watched the sun go down still until she heard something moving towards them through the grass. She sat up, looking in the direction with Charizard too who lifted her neck, turning to find Flareon padding towards her through the grass. He looked tired, as though he'd been running, but Emiri knew that he would put in all the effort he could to something she asked him to do, so she wasn't surprised if he was running to try and cover more ground in less time. He was panting softly as he sat on the ground off to the side, looking out in the direction he had come from before turning back to Emiri.
"I went as far as I could in the one direction, sniffed every rock and kept my eyes open, but I couldn't find her," Flareon panted as his ears sulked a little at the notion that he had failed what was potentially a very important mission.
"You did fine. One of the others might have spotted something. There's only so much ground you could cover on foot," Charizard commented, earning a bit of a pause from Flareon as he sat up just a little straighter at what sounded like a compliment coming from the dragon.
"Thanks boss, but I'll keep looking tomorrow if someone didn't find her tonight," Flareon offered as he moved closer to the pair with Emiri's open arm, and he laid himself on the ground beside Emiri who began to pet his warm fur.
