In Malie City, one of the most popular spots to visit is just north called the Malie Garden. Again developed by the early settlers of this area who were from the Johto Region, the entire garden has been developed and maintained with a heavy eastern influence. Dark wood and golden fixtures make up the bridges that lead over the winding river within the garden, and golden statues to pay homage to their eastern heritage. In the eastern corner of the garden, there is a tower that resembles the Bell Tower in Ecruteak Johto, and in the center is a tea shop with plenty of outdoor covered seating and the calming sounds of the river the flows through the garden. One of the greatest features of this garden, though unknown to most, is the river itself. From a higher view of the garden, the river actually resembles as was shaped to look like a Gyarados, one of the most powerful and famed Pokemon in the Johto Region.

Maya definitely fits in with her contest category. She is fairly calm and collected when she wants to be, but is known for always having a fun time. She is a socialite, and seems to know almost everyone and what everyone is doing. On top of that, she always seems to be at all of the big parties, premiers, and even cultural ceremonies. No matter how exclusive she finds out about it and will be there. Most everyone seems to enjoy her presences and even still with her ability to make friends and have fun, she is a tough coordinator. She likes doing what she can to win, but enjoys it regardless win or lose.
