On the western coast of Akala Island, one of the Alola region's most well known locations can be found. Brooklet Hill is, as it's name suggests, a hill that starts fairly high above sea level and eventually leads down into the ocean. What makes this area so unique and so well known though is the series of waterfalls and ledges that make up this western part of the island as though it were a terrace field. There's winding paths that lead downwards through each part of the hill with wetlands and patches of rock and grass, and each ledge is a new pool of water that leads into the next through rocks and waterfalls. Some parts require to go through the ponds in order to get to the bottom as the water has over taken the paths, but it truly makes for a beautiful and unique environment that leads to a tributary at the bottom to the ocean.
{Brooklet Hill Gym (Click)}Lana is the Trial Captain of Akala Island's Brooklet Hill. She is described as an expert with Water-type Pokémon who is dedicated to her family and a reliable older sister who watches over her younger twin sisters, Harper and Sarah. Lana is a very quite and gentle individual, who spends her time to her self and Pokemon in the sea. She often helps and aids fish in need at sea, with great thanks for the local Nurse Joy. How ever, she does enjoy having fun, and some times tricks tourists into feeding the Wishiwashi in the ocean, only to startle them with it's school form, but its all in good fun. Despite being gentle, she is a tough battler, entering what she calls "Battle Mode." When she's not at home, or at Brooklet Hill, she could be found at home with her sisters. But she also enjoys spending her time with Mallow.
Like her previous Gym Leaders, and Trial Captains, she refused to have any thing built or added to Brooklet Hill. Her Gym sits at the lowest point of the Island down by and in the ocean waters. The pathways that lead down to the waters and beaches also continue down to where her Gym sits. The beach leads to her gym, which is a section of the waters just of the beach that seems to be naturally sectioned off by rocks. Often people can be found here swimming due to the calmer waves, but if challenged she often clears the waters, and has her Pokemon clear out the wildlife. There are two plat forms sitting almost level with the waters, and a few rocks sitting out of the waters and that's it. Her gym is mostly ocean water, even Lana and the Challenge has to swim to the platforms. Lana doesn't have a spot for on lookers, but if anyone wanted they could be able to watch the battle on the beach.
