Rules and Guidelines:
When challenging the Elite Four and Champion:
- Your character must travel through the final thread to actually get to where they challenge the Elite Four, they cannot fly over, or teleport past. (Victory Roads and Mount Lanakila)
- Once you challenge the Elite Four, you may not forfeit. You must try your hardest until you win or are defeated. Regardless if you do not like the foreseeable outcome. From Elite 4 all the way to the champion.
- All battles are consecutive, and there will be no breaks or Pokecenter stops between Elite Four Members or Champions.
- Exp are given out per Member, so if you beat 3 Elite four members, and the last defeats you, you'll still be rewarded for the members you defeated, but you won't receive the final rewards that you will receive when beating the champion.
- Each Elite 4 maybe challenged a total of 3 times before they will turn away the challenger. That is until they have at least 3+ new Pokemon to challenge with.
- You may heal or use as many items, current in your character's inventory, as needed between battles. However, Potions are banned. Super Potions, Hyper Potions, Max Potions, and other healing items are permitted.
- Like a Gym Battle, you may only have one Mega Stone active in your party. You may use the sprite and appearance of a Mega Pokemon, but you still may only use one boosted Pokemon for all five challenges and may not switch Mega Pokemon. However to keep just the appearance of the Mega, the Pokemon still must be holding the mega stone.
- You may not claim items or Pokemon from events when you enter Victory Road or Mt. Lanakila or while challenging the Elite Four or Champion. Your character will only have the inventory and Pokemon they walk in with, and will have to wait until after the challenge to receive the event rewards.
- You may not switch Hold Items once entering Victory Road or Mt. Lanakila, even between battles, and cannot have more than one hold item of a kind between Pokemon. Once challenging them, your Pokemon's hold Items are locked in.
- Once you challenge the Elite Four, if you become champion or not, you may not use any of those Pokemon in any other region's league. If so, it's immediate disqualification.
- All Elite Four battles are held in Arenas with massive audiences. Each character can request the Elite Four battle be held with no crowd and not televised for what ever reason, but will be recorded and public record for all characters to access. How ever, every champion battle will be public, with crowds and on television. They are big deals.
- You must battle a Moderator for each Elite Four and Champion character. If you would like to roleplay out the battles yourself, please message White Prince of Wonderland, or Elemental Paradisity for details. **However, if there is a character that replaced the Cannon Champion, it must be roleplayed out with that roleplayer normally. No exceptions.
- If you fall inactive for longer then 1 month, without notice or reason, your character will immediately forfeit and be forced to restart later. If we believe this rule is being abused, and we have proof, we reserve the right to deny any rechallenge, and we will eliminate the entire original six Pokemon the character challenged with.
- When Challenging the Elite Four, you will make your own battling Thread. Upon defeat or victory, the thread will be locked and kept in this forum for Pokemon Hidden Legend's History.
- Please have fun with your challenge. There still is no post length requirement, but there must be context to your posts. This is huge for your character, we will not allow posts to just include attacks only, other wise we will not respond until there's something to respond to. (IE "Pikachu use thunder!" Or [Pikachu used Thunder!] or unfinished posts). It takes away the point of roleplaying all together. Each post doesn't have to be a huge paragraph by any means, but please put a bit of effort into the posts. If you're having trouble with this let us know, and we will work something out with you, or twist things up to keep it fun.
Upon victory and becoming Champion:
- Once you defeat the Champion, your character will have the option to take the position, but they are not obligated to actually take over as Champion.
- If your character becomes the new Champion, your character will be able to design and create what ever battle field/arena they would like. But it must be able to accommodate all Pokemon. (IE cannot be underwater, or only Sky Battles)
- If your character is champion, and another character is challenging the Elite four. Your character will have to go to Victory Road, or the designated battle area, and defend their title.
- If you fall inactive for 4 straight months, without notice, your character may lose the title. We will attempt to reach out to you before you lose the title. If on Hiatus, the Cannon Champion, or previous champion will battle in your place. But if defeated in your absence, you will still lose the title.
- If your character falls inactive during the battle, without notifying us. After 2 weeks, a mod will post for your character battling for the challenging roleplayer's convenience. We will try and get in touch with you, but if you fall inactive for a straight 4 weeks, it will be an automatic forfeit and auto win for the challenger.
- If you fall inactive a total for 3 times, it will be an automatic forfeit.
- If you need to go on a hiatus during the battle, please notify a mod. We will take over the battle as the Cannon Champion, with a team of Dittos transformed into the champion Pokemon, for the fairness of the challenger. However, if we lose the battle, so will your character.
- If your character needs to go on hiatus, or they are stripped of their title, when you return you may take back the title without battling the Elite Four unless another trainer has taken the title.
- If you remove your character, or no long wish to keep them as a main character, or wish to make them just an NPC. They will have to relinquish their title, and will have to challenge the E4 again, so please think hard about making your champion character an NPC.
- Your character may only sit as one champion for one region. If you'd like they may give up their title and challenge a new region with an entire new team. But they must step down first before attempting to battle another Elite Four. If they step down to challenge another region, and if they lose, they must challenge the Elite Four and original champion again to take back their title.
- Your character may relinquish their title at any time. Just please notify a Moderator if they would like to.
- If your character is champion, we may ask that your character participate in a Story line event, and maybe be a part of the story itself. We may ask for your discretion on details and keep the story secret, as well as we may be vague and ambiguous when coming to you. You, of course, may decline and not participate, the choice will always be yours.
- If your character loses and is replaced as champion we still might ask you for storylined events. Ex-Champions are still just as important.
