Out in the Courtyard is a great place to visit if you need a quiet moment alone, and away from the main part of the festivities. The Courtyard smells of spring and beautiful flowers almost year around. This is because of the many flower beds it holds that are tended to daily to keep the flowers very healthy. Some parts of the Courtyard even grow fruits which are free to eat for the guests. At it's center is a large rocky fountain that fills the air with the calming sound of trickling water. The bench is surrounded in benches for those who need a relaxing place to sit. The Courtyard itself is closed in by the Hotel's walls, but also a large thick hedge for the guest's privacy. Stone pathways lead through out the garden, around flowerbeds and the fountain, making a nice smooth path to walk on.

Elizabeth Morgan While Liz was busy making a big, noisy scene out of...everything her Tsareena had made her way out into the gardens. She was perfectly content not stirring the pot any further even if she did feel like she had to protect that red-haired moron. Investigating to keep her from getting arrested was a perfectly valid form of protection. And maybe she'd run into something she could kick in the process. A good, solid kicking would do the Tsareena some good. "I guess I should try and find something out here..." She muttered irritably to herself, looking around the courtyard as she tried to identify what might help prove Liz wasn't trying to murder anyone before the situation spun out of control. She started with the window nearest the door and followed them one by one up to the last window that gave a clear line of sight to the stage's side that hadn't been burnt by Princess. She was sure that if anything was going to be outside, it would have come through a window nearby the stage. Her focus was on the glass--hoping to see damage or sign that one hadn't been closed during a hasty escape--but she was also taking quick glances at the soil and paths around each window. If there was a clue on the ground, surely it would be big and easy to find. Belle's search currently only included the windows from the Courtyard-Ballroom door up to the upper right corner of the Ballroom's building. Elizabeth Morgan The quiet outside was nice but Belle decided she didn't much care for being all by herself. Every little noise had her swinging a leg out before she even stopped to check what was coming up on her. She hoped nobody was stupid enough to try and sneak up on a Tsareena in that case. She was pretty strong, and she wasn't going to let anyone try telling her otherwise at this point. She had a good old Trop Kick ready for such foolishness. It was nice to have this move seem to just...come to her. Her legs were, of course, a natural choice for fighting. She used to not have arms at all! Belle enjoyed a moment of admiring herself in the last window she was inspecting and, once she had satisfied her own curiosity and/or collected all the clues she found she was on her way out farther into the Court. She picked her steps, choosing the stones that looked most satisfying to plant her new heels on. She had been a Tsareena for a while now. This was her first chance to really explore her own body. Steps turned into skips, then jumps. Belle was keeping an eye out for any more clues but she had given up hope of useful information about ten feet from the window. A keen eye was all it would take to find anything worth finding. She headed away from the Ballroom, moving East past the first fountain(?) directly across from the door. An escaping criminal with something to hide would no doubt make a straight line bolt for safety! She paused at the lip of the fountain, glancing at the base quizzically. A good Tsareena had balance. With that thought in mind, Belle hopped up onto the fountain's edge, balancing her form and adjusting her crown so it would not fall off. She walked as if on a tight rope even if the fountain's base was large enough for a human to stand on. Even distracted with the idea of maintaining balance Belle had her eyes peeled for anything that might be near the fountain or even in the water. She hoped the moonlight was enough to see by here. Elizabeth Morgan Belle was enjoying herself out here, even if it was lonely. This must be what it was like to be a Tsareena. The Queen Berries had it rougher than she expected. Having to take care of others was a bigger deal than she ever thought. Venus' quiet presence had already gone ignored, but Belle further distracted herself by watching her reflection in the fountain. She wasn't paying attention to any clues that might be hiding beneath the shimmering surface. "Is this what you warned me about?" The Tsareena murmured to herself, lost in her own head now with memories and dreams. It felt so long ago that she had arrived in Johto only to be released by her trainer before Liz. When Venus' toes disrupted the water--and Belle's reflection--the Tsareena snapped to attention. Someone was here! "Back off! I'll kick--Oh..." The Machop Spike had been talking to. Liz might not have paid attention to what was going on around her, but Belle had taken note of their interaction. She was still defensive, uncomfortable knowing a little musclehead like Machop had been able to sneak up on her. Her mother would be ashamed. The Tsareena feigned disinterest, folding her arms and looking away as though she hadn't just freaked out when she noticed someone else had arrived. "I suppose you can use my fountain for now. That coward doesn't talk to just anybody." She couldn't help the chilly bite in her words. Tsareena had to be strong, ruthless. If Belle wasn't being brutally honest or teaching her allies to be strong, she was failing in her duty. Of course she claimed the fountain as hers. No one else was here to challenge that claim. If her behavior before was anything to go off of, Venus certainly wouldn't try. She needed that right now. To feel like she was in control. Her trainer was losing plenty of it for everybody. "What do you want?" Belle demanded, glancing out of her peripheral vision at the Machop. She tried her hardest to appear only marginally interested but even from that sidelong stare Venus would be able to deduce Belle viewed her as some sort of threat. Elizabeth Morgan At first Belle was offended by the correct assumption. She didn't care all that much how Venus felt about the chaos in the Ballroom. She was obviously new to frantic humans. Being correctly identified as Liz's Pokemon at this moment was upsetting to the Tsareena. It's not like it was a secret, she just didn't want to think about her trainer right this moment. "I'm out here because everyone in there has no idea what they're doing." She scowled after a quick sweep around the yard. "Then again, this was a COMPLETE waste of my time." She kicked the fountain with the upper part of her foot. There was a crack formed in the stone around her feet. She closed her eyes, sighing aloud. "I needed to have some space." Began the Tsareena, deciding to admit to her own vulnerability. "They're all trying to rule their world. Everyone thinks somebody else's world belongs to theirs." Belle scowled into the window, showing as much disdain for the royals as she did for the trainers. Especially her own. "I could take all of them. Except those two big, black idiots." Maybe she could take Zekrom, but honestly anything Marcellus had was decisively beyond her ability to fight. She wasn't willing to accept that Julian had the same degree of advantage as Marcellus. She hated both of Liz's male friends. Partly because she hated the idea of feeling weaker than anyone else. She'll crush Cronus and Zekrom one day too. "She's going to get herself killed. Maybe us too... I hope your human is not as stupid as all the rest of them." She grunted at the Machop. Another sharp kick to the fountain caused the crack to grow and fling a piece of masonry at the center of the fountain. She glared into the water, scanning it as if she expected some magical thing to appear. "I thought something was out here. I don't suppose you noticed anything that could keep my moron alive?" Belle tipped her hand with that remark. She was angry and hated the situation but she still cared about Liz. Elizabeth Morgan Belle did not appreciate the honesty, even if it was dead on. No. because it was dead on. No direct jabs to return on the Machop’s own human either. The perceived helplessness made the Tsareena want to kick Venus. Just to prove she was still capable of doing so. She huffed her frustration and jumped into the water. She waded around, kicking uselessly in the water. Where was the stupid clue!? She was supposed to be the clever one here! A clue had to be here! Right here! The Alolan Berry Pokemon was not making a fantastic impression on the Machop and right now she didn’t care. She had come out in search of a clue to help exonerate Liz, maybe incriminate somebody else, but nothing was here. She stopped when her wading took her to the center of the fountain. She stared up along the water’s source toward the top. Rather than take this opportunity to see if something might be above her, she glared at the fixture before using a full force Trop Kick on the hapless water fountain. Cracks formed in the surface but she did little more than shake it otherwise. Belle just wanted to be useful to her trainer. This was not a useful Belle. She turned to glare at Venus as if this were her fault somehow. It wasn’t hard to read a little girl throwing a tantrum in the Tsareena’s behavior. Even if she was strong enough now to be a threat. “I’m going back inside. There’s nothing here.” She lingered at the centerpiece, seeming to wait for Venus to agree to go with her—or for something to fall from the sky and hit her on the head. Elizabeth Morgan The Tsareena frowned thoughtfully, then quickly shook her head as she waded out of the fountain. "I guess if you find something...I might not mind that. She was pretty upset. Hopefully she hasn't noticed." Belle remarked as she glanced to the windows inside. She couldn't make Liz out against the rest of the crowd. Maybe that was a good thing? She hoped so. "My human shouldn't be left unattended." She glanced at the Machop then hopped off of the fountain's edge. She looked up to Venus in the water, taking one step toward the doors. "There's nothing out here, at least." Maybe that was good news. If anyone mentions trying to go outside, Belle or Venus could intercept and avoid anymore time wasting. They could always hope, surely. With or without Venus, Belle decided to return to the ballroom. She made her way in slowly and carefully. As unassuming as she could be...aside from being the only Tsareena walking around the event at all. She was OK with that.
