ElfyAs the small canine spoke to the Abra, it remained stationary above the table. It's guard hat remained perfectly placed on it's head, as it faced outward towards the ballroom as if it were watching. Or it would be if it's eyes were open. One might think the Abra was a statue it was remaining so still, had it not been floating in midair. The on-duty Pokémon didn't return a comment to the Rockruff, or even seem to notice him on the table. It remained still in the air. As the young dog approached the clues sitting on the table, and began to smell them for scents, he might have to take a few sniffs, but if so he would get quite a few. On the black clasp he would be able to get a few scents most of which familiar. He would get the scent of Demetri, and Yami, but also a third scent that wouldn't be familiar to the Canine. While on the knife, it would seem he would only get the scent of blood from Rhya's shoulder. From both the knife handle and the threads. Meanwhile, as the Kabuto forced his way into the Kitchen he wound find it empty, and noticeably more quiet then in the Ballroom. No workers or chefs tending to any food. One might assume none of the employees wanted to be anywhere near the crime scenes, or were under arrest in their own investigation somewhere else. However, the only fact visible is that the kitchen was empty. The white tile floors were spotless, and perfectly clean of any spills or messes. The Shiny Kabuto would be able to see an island in the middle of the room made of metal. There were many storage spaces around it, as well as ovens. From Kabuto's level he most likely wouldn't be able to see onto the counter tops, but above the island was a large exhaust vent to filter out any smoke or steam. Long the left walls was more counters and fixtures to help keep up with the quick pace. while on the right was single counter next to a cupboard that remained shut. Along the walls that could be visible to him would be plenty of sparkling clean cooking utensils, pots and pans.

Elfy gravity_resistant  Marco DirkMarco listened to Cyren as he agreed that Eva would have given the Arcanine hell had anything happened to him or too close to him on the Stage. He couldn't help but give a light chuckle. "I believe it. But luckily you didn't need it. Especially with that warning from the Archduchess." He commented, which he would have hated to see the Bestie he had grown to like get punished. He wasn't exactly sure what Adelaide would do to punish both Pokémon and trainer. Maybe he would get to see from one of the many trainers in the room, but he was optimistic it wouldn't be Cyren or his Pokémon in the meantime. They might get lucky and not draw any attention off toward the side. Cyren began to comment that he believed it would be someone who had a grudge on the Royal family. That was a very valid theory. He stopped to look around himself at the many guests in the room. "Possibly... The Archduchess seems to gain more and more enemies by the minute." He joked, after having seen everything between the group before. "I just think it would have been easy to come in as a trainer without knowing anyone, and have stolen the Gigalith. Maybe it wasn't meant to be a murder at all." He purposed with a shrug. "Greed does a lot to a person, and I see quite a few greedy people." He explained to Cyren. However, the conversation shifted towards the power outage. That was a good question, one he hadn't thought of yet. This gave him a thoughtful expression on his tough face, as he glanced around the room again. "You're asking the important questions. I didn't see anything happen that would make the power go out, but there were quite a few Pokémon running around." He stated, not remembering anything that stuck out. He hadn't seen something happen in the room, but if it had he could have just missed it. Meanwhile in the darkness of the wing, light seemed to creep into his sanctuary which immediately caught the ghost's attention. He looked up to see why Eva had let the light in, and was met with the nuzzle. He accepted the nuzzle as the dragon hummed, and he began to pat her nose and face lightly in return for the nuzzles.

Noctowl was against a running clock here. If the item he'd seen really was a clue, then the chaotic crowd could damage it. He went into a dive, plucking the disc off of the ground and flying back to his Trainer. Julian spotted the owl flying towards him. Noctowl flew past, dropping the disc. The Trainer reached a hand up and caught it. He examined the TM? and tried to think about what this might mean. "By the stage." Noctowl thought, carried to him by Espeon.
Now, unfortunately, the extra voice in the head of Liz, which had not intended to be heard by others, had not been detected by Espeon. She was still too new to the psychic abilities to hear everything going on in someone's head. However, if Cronus or Marcellus decided to tell Julian, he would look after Liz with a bit more concern than he'd had during her near-assault on his Pokemon. If not, he would watch her walk out feeling bitter and resentful towards her.
Meanwhile during that business, Umbreon checked each of the plant pots to the right of the stage (specifically searching here this time). Umbreon thought that if someone was going to hide something somewhere, this was the best place to do it. He wasn't paying attention to Liz, Arcanine, Julian, Marcellus, or any of what was happening around him. He nosed through the leaves, searching inside of the pots and around/behind the pots themselves.
Julian was distracted by the Archduchess standing up and making an announcement concerning all of the Pokemon out of their Pokeballs. If anyone happened to be looking at Julian's face, they could see anger flash over it before he masked it again. He was incensed. How dare this woman actually threaten her guests. He was very quickly developing an actual hatred for royalty of any sort thanks to the actions and behavior of the ones present. He was reverting to the mindset, despite Marcellus' warning, that he'd had minutes before. He was ready for war if it came down to that. He would fight to the death if they so much as laid a finger on his Pokemon

Yami appreciated the quiet of the kitchen. Compared to the Ballroom the Kitchen was paradise. The lack of loud people and Pokemon could only be a good thing from Yami's point of view. The Kabuto took his time crawling along the floor, trying to spot an easy way up on to the counter. That was the only downside to being alone in the Kitchen- there was nobody that could pick him up and place him on the counter. Instead he was forced to try to climb. This went about as well as could be expected. He almost got himself stuck on his back more than a few times before he gave up on climbing. There was an easier solution to this problem. He angled himself so he would bounce off the wall behind one of the counters and launched himself into it with Aqua Jet. The Kabuto smacked into the wall and landed flat on the counter. He was a bit dazed by the impact but he still attempted to look around. Being higher up might allow him to see something he wouldn't have been able to from the floor.
"If she continues to react with hostility I imagine that list of enemies will continue to grow." Most trainers did not appreciate their Pokemon being threatened. Attempts to help being met with a negative attitude didn't help either. He understood that this entire situation was upsetting for the Archduchess and her family but he couldn't see how they could reasonably expect people to be willing to help if they treated the ones offering their assistance as if they were a nuisance. Eve licked the Sableye's cheek before closing her wing, giving him his dark space to rest in again. She purred when her trainer automatically continued petting her as soon as her head was visible again. "That feels like something they would keep track of." They had all been sent invitations to the event and they had to accept before the Abra appeared to take them there. "I'm not sure if it was the same for the other trainers but I'm assuming we all got the same invitation we had to accept to get here. They should have a list of the people who accepted the invitations." In hindsight, he probably could have asked someone if his sister was at the ball if there was a list of trainers who were attending. He looked around the room, trying to figure out where exactly he would need to go to sort out the mystery of why the power had gone out so suddenly. "Determining what caused the lights to go out so suddenly and perhaps what caused the flashes might be necessary." Knowing what had happened could help them in their quest to figure out who had stolen the Gigalith and attacked Rhya. Partners:

Elfy gravity_resistant Marco DirkMarco couldn't help but agree. The old woman was known to have a sharp tongue, and seemed to rely on status and past achievements to gain respect. She's going to have nothing but enemies in this room if she continued. "You don't bite the hand that feeds you. Or investigates for you." He replied. It wasn't hard to imagine the enemies she'll be making with this last move. He could see her frustration after everything that was happening, but he didn't mind either way. He was planning on staying away from the drama and arguments. He was more then happy to passively sit with Eva rather then get caught in any cross fire. He then began to comment on the trainers and them having a list of those invited. For the trainers they had arrived through their invitations via Abra guards, however, those that didn't have pokedexs got there differently. "I suppose you are right, they should have some form of invitation list. But this is a public event." He added. It made a lot of sense that there would indeed be an invitation list, but he did remind him it was a public event as well, so anyone was allowed in. Cyren moved on to talk about the necessity to figuring out that caused the lights to go out. Marco joined Cyren in a quick look about the room trying to see what could have caused it. "That would be a pretty good start, and maybe point them in a direction." He agreed. He still couldn't exactly see anything that would have caused the outage. He looked back to Cyren, and then glanced to Eva before speaking again. "Is there a Pokémon that you know of that can make flashes? Or do you think it's just the obvious?" He asked. Marco hadn't really thought too much about those flashes with everything going on. it could have been a Pokémon he thought, but he wasn't as knowledgeable about all Pokémon, just the ones he had, and encountered. However he couldn't help but consider the obvious choice which would be a flash of the camera, like the ones that happened during the gift opening. However he did look back up to the lights for a moment, as he pondered. "None of the lights look damaged really. I'm not sure what could have made them go out unless it was some sort of inside job." He thought for a moment. A Pokémon could have knocked out the lights from here, but he would have assumed the lights would have been damaged. Maybe someone at the hotel did it, or some one else could have done it. He was curious to see what Cyren's input would be. Sableye however seemed to be happily snug back in the darkness. However, he did seem to start shifting around under her wing seemingly to get comfortable or maybe readjust his position, but still remaining inside.
Mars being the good little detective he is would have the scent, however with so much commotion and back and forth with so many people and Pokémon... There might not be much of a distinct trail to follow. He might have to conduct a search of his own. Meanwhile, Yami being the clever fossil he was earned himself a nice vantage point of the Kitchen. The stove tops still were covered in pots and pans with food still in them, but the ovens were turned off. Luckily for Yami if he wanted to travel across them. There were plenty of cooking utensils, tongs, knives, and spices sitting on the counters. It would seem like an average hotel kitchen, and a squeaky clean one at that.

While Katie was playing things carefully, Hoopa was doing - if possible - the exact opposite. He had little to no tact when it came to matters that required such things. "Hoopa will look there!" He exclaimed, and floated over to where the largest portion of the crowd had been standing so he could look around for another clue. Having found one, he was encouraged to keep going and find more. He was beginning to fancy himself a Detective despite doing very, very little detective work. gravity_resistant Elfy  Demetri Nathaniel AlbertDemetri was still slowly making his stroll across the Ballroom as he listened to Katie. He wanted to be very thorough in his investigation, so he wanted to know where she knew this about Marco. Had she known him before could be important, as well as if she heard it from someone else he would have to follow up with that person as well. He listened to the young ranger, and turns how she had indeed learned it form another guest. She explained it had been a reporter, who was female. It wasn't hard at all for him to figure out who it had been. Elizabeth had been on the invite list he created, and he was aware of her being a reporter, or at least was one. He couldn't help but look back at the blonde reporter after Katie explained who it might have been. "Thank you for letting me know. I might have to speak with her too, depending on how this conversation goes." He explained to Katie. With another glance back to the stage he turned back to Katie. With the information he had, he felt it was enough to start officially questioning Marco. "If you wouldn't mind, you could sit with me while I question him? You don't have to if you feel uncomfortable. " He explained to her, offering to let her sit by and listen while he questioned Marco, but giving her an out if she felt uneasy about it. If she decided to or not, he'd turn towards Marco, Cyren and the Noivern and start making his way towards the pair. He had a friendly expression as he walked up to the two of them. "Hello Gentlemen" he greeted with a friendly, and optimistic tone to his voice. "It's nice to see you again so soon," He started, looking to Cyren having seen the male just before as he defended Liz. He already had a positive impression of the male, seeing that he was defending her, despite his lack in confidence in the red head now. As well as he had a Rockruff with him, which reminded him of times his Lycanroc was younger. "I'm sure you already know, I'm Demetri, But I haven't had the delight of learning your names yet." He told them holding out his hand to shake theirs. Offering his hand to the younger taller male first, then the suspect at hand. if they accept it or not, he would move on. "I hope you don't mind, I wouldn't mind asking you a few questions." Demetri spoke looking to Marco, though he didn't appear to be alluding to anything negative. "You could stay if you would like, and sit with us. this should be pretty quick." He spoke to Cyren, but also looking back to Katie if she had followed along. It was always good to have witnesses. In an interrogation room everything would be on camera, this way maybe both Katie and Cyren could be witnesses for himself and Marco should they need it. Demetri moved to sit down at a near by table, and gestured to a seat near him. He was being friendly, and wanted Marco to be comfortable while sitting, but he wanted to make sure they Marco was cooperating as well.Elizabeth Plum also helped name Marco as an official suspect.

The Fossil was okay with sitting still for a while. The silence and lack of movement were enjoyable to him. He did eventually slowly make his way across the ovens. During his exploration of the counter he would occasionally stop to push around a cooking utensil or study the spices. These things were interesting to him but not at all useful to his search for clues. The Kitchen felt like it might be dead end. This didn't bother him any. He was content to sit and rest in the quiet room for a while by himself. Mars was less interested in sitting around than Yami was. He was on a hunt to find the source of the extra scent. The noisy redhead felt like a good potential target. She had drawn quite a bit of attention to herself. That would lead him past a blonde sitting near the stage. Elfy gravity_resistant Marco DirkMarco listened to Cyren as he explained about Pokémon that could make flashes. He knew the basics of course, in the sense of electric types could produce electricity but he was unsure if their were Pokémon that could manipulate light or create flashes specifically. at least it seemed that way. He had only worked with and trained the Pokémon he himself had. "That does sound pretty on the nose." He admitted, if a Pokémon knew flash then that would be a pretty glaring clue. "But that usually is true, the simplest explanation is probably it. If it was an inside job, maybe no Pokémon were involved at all." He considered, purposing the idea to Cyren. The taller male seemed to be pretty intelligent, and at least had more then just common sense, with that alone seemed to be lacking within this group. Maybe they could figure out what happened to the lights at least. But he did have a good point, it's all just theories and ideas until they had more proof. He was going to add to that when the Baron walked up. The male appeared very friendly, but Marco couldn't help but not trust his overtly friendly nature. He held out his hand to Cyren, only to be intercepted by Eve, in turn he offered him his hand as well. Marco accepted, giving him a firm hand shake, matching his friendly smile, however his overall scarred face wasn't as friendly looking as the baron's. "I'm Marco." He simply stated and decided to listen as the Baron continued on. He couldn't help but look to the nearby blonde, but only a glance before turning his attention back to Demetri. The Baron was speaking directly to him now, wanting to ask him a few questions. Great. He offered to let Cyren stay, which he found interesting. "I don't suppose I have a choice." He commented with a shrug, stepping away from the table for a moment, only to swipe a glass of wine from the table behind him, and then return back to the group. He took his offered seat, and relaxed back into it making himself comfortable before looking to the Baron. "So, what questions do you have for me?" He asked as he took a whiff of the wine before taking a sip. Meanwhile, Sableye froze within the wing of Eve. He remained huddled under the wing for a moment, before lightly crawling upwards to the edge of her wing. He didn't stick his head out from her wing, but he was right at the tip. as if he were listening.

It would be easy for a professional thief to swipe the Gigalith. Murder is the next step following robbery in most cases. It made sense to her, she had seen it in the news plenty of times. She continued to toy with her Cutiefly idly, which even the fairy type knew what she was doing and played along. She could see that Katie and the Baron were making their way towards Marco. So she convinced him too, and he was taking it seriously. She looked to her Pokémon that landed in her palm. "Lets get you a drink of water. I'm pretty thirst too." She spoke to her Pokémon, who hummed happily. It was good to keep the little Pokémon hydrated since the Pokémon fluttered around so much, but also so she could get closer to what was happening. She was practically alone in this side of the Ballroom, aside form the fuming redhead, which she did not want to get in her way. She had only managed to uncross her legs to stand up when she heard barking. She looked down quickly to see the source of the barks and couldn't resist a smile. "Well you're just a sweetie, huh?" she chimed looking at the puppy. The cutiefly took flight next to her allowing her to reach down to the puppy. This was a stranger's puppy so she couldn't assume he was a immediately friendly puppy so she put her hand down, the back of her hand to him to allow him to sniff her and familiarize herself with him. He was just a friendly puppy to her, and turns out her scent does match the clasp. If he allowed she'd reach up and scratch his head and ears.

If that was all that it was, Rhienne was definitely off put from her as a whole, but luckily she didn’t have to have much interaction with her. Instead her focus remained on the older woman that she had run into before, and she was doing her best to fill her in on the details of the crimes that had taken place in the ballroom. It was either a lucky stroke, or maybe even a purposeful action, that the brunette woman that was on the stage with the archduchess hadn’t been more severely hurt, she could have very well been stabbed to death right then and there if the knife had made contact with her anywhere more vital. The older woman shared her sentiments on the condition of the brunette, and Rhienne nodded with her in hopes that she would be alright.
”I’m sure they’re going to get her the best care available. The archduchess was very upset that she had been hurt, ignoring the stolen Gigalith almost entirely. If she hadn’t been where she had been at that moment though, it could have been the archduchess that was stabbed. I guess things happen for a reason sometimes,” Rhienne commented. The woman was mulling over what little they knew about the crime so far, or really crimes was the more operative word here since it seemed that multiple instances on the archduchess’ well being had been enacted. The woman brought up a fair point then, if the ‘delinquent’ wasn’t in fact as quick as they would have needed to be, there could very well have been more than one person involved.
”I’m not sure, but that is a fair point to consider. There were quite a few things that happened all at once, but at the same time, they were all very different from each other. The stabbing could have been a reflexive accident from stealing the Gigalith on stage, but the needle couldn’t have come from thin air,” Rhienne thought aloud, more or less agreeing with the woman’s wonderings.
”It could be that there is more than one person involved, but they might not be working together, which makes this more difficult. There would be two different stories, motives, and opportunities that they would need to investigate…,” she realized then, and she couldn’t agree more then with the woman, they could be here for quite some time…
”I think you’re right… We could be here for a while if that’s the case. I don’t know if they’ve named any suspects yet, I’m sure the archduchess would make an announcement of some kind perhaps,” she mentioned, but she did catch movement on the stage as the Baron was actually following a younger girl down the stairs and through the ballroom, that could mean that maybe they’ve found something to start going off of. Rhienne was watching them for the moment before the woman spoke again, and her ears twitched at the question she asked. Rhienne turned to look back at her through her glasses, finding the question just a bit out of place, but it was fair to assume that small talk would be better than sitting around waiting for something to happen, the woman was probably just trying to keep herself distracted.
”Oh, uhm yeah, I am a trainer from the Johto Region. I do have some of my Pokemon here in the ballroom, they’re with an acquaintance of mine right now,” Rhienne replied then, knowing Aviabra had gone off to find Ridley and Delphine, but she wasn’t quite sure where Wattson was, though she hoped that he had come back to his senses and had come to find one of them in the meantime.
Standing there with the white haired trainer, Wattson had began to wonder about the lights and how they had gone out, but that aside, he was again trying to swallow a sick feeling in his stomach at being so close to the trainer that he had began to speak with. There was just something incredibly off about him, but Wattson couldn’t even begin to explain what it was to himself to make any sense of it. If there was one thing for certain though, he was concerned and just a bit aggravated that he had singled out Rhienne for one reason or another in trying to make an accusation out of the dozens and dozens of other patrons that there were. Rhienne was not the only guest standing in proximity to the doors, and his Smoochum hadn’t said anything about her in the slightest when she was naming whom she saw move in the flashes of darkness. There was no more notion that Rhienne had done anything than any other person in the ballroom, so it really left Wattson just a slight bit leery and untrusting of the trainer. He seemed kind in his words, and genuine in listening to what he had to say, but the Lucario was more intuitive than that, and could feel just the slightest twinge of… Doubt? Smugness even? It wasn’t hostile, but it wasn’t friendly, Wattson could tell that for one reason or another this trainer had some other thoughts. He almost felt as though he were being looked down upon the way the trainer was speaking to him. Pushing his personal vendetta aside, only for the moment, Wattson looked to the trainer as they both came to wonder about the lights and how they came to shut off as suddenly as they did.
”It could have been a Pokemon, but it wouldn’t have been a Pokemon here in the ballroom. The burst of the electric circuits being tampered with was too faint to have happened in the same room,” Wattson commented, having recalled the sound of what could really have been described as a small explosion of sorts at the very instant that the lights had gone out. If that had occurred in the ballroom, everyone would have heard it and seen what had happened to the lights. Wattson moved for a moment to a table just beside them, and took a moment to pull out a chair with his paws. He glanced around before stepping up on the chair, standing well above most in the ballroom now as he looked around, scanning the walls from corner to corner.
”I don’t see a fuse box or central panel anywhere in the room, the electricity was cut from somewhere else,” he commented then, stepping down from the chair and pushing it back in just before he adjusted the vest and bowtie that he wore over his fur.
”The explosion must have come from another part of the hotel,”Wattson surmised, looking back to the white haired trainer. At this point, Wattson didn’t feel comfortable with him to leave him alone, he just couldn’t shake the feeling that there was an ulterior motive or something fake about him.
”Would you and your Pokemon come investigate with me? If we find a kind of circuit box, there might be clues as to how the lights went out which will narrow down the suspects,” Wattson inquired as he motioned to move towards the foyer doors, genuine in his tone and wanting the help, the more they had to investigate, the faster they might come up with some kind of answer. |

Ignoring his previous question about who the Pokémon thought might have been hiding or blend in. How convenient for him. Marcellus's eyes narrowed slightly as his smile grew just a hair. Got him. This only furthered his suspicions against the female trainer. The lights had gone out, and it was a very valid point he believed. Any Ghost or Psychic type, or even a dark type, could guide someone through the darkness. Or even carry out the crime themselves. Which the female had already revealed she had at least one psychic type, which he wasn't even aware of the Alakazam that Cronus had briefly spoken with. It would seem that people just had habits of ignoring him, which was really starting to grow old terribly fast. He had asked the Mega Lucario a blatant question, to which he couldn't answer and was trying to deflect from. "If you don't suppose you have a clue as to any people that seem to be huddling into a crowd, or blending in like you suggested, the lights would be a good start." He began, bringing it full circle considering the Mega Lucario tried to dodge the bullet, which Marcellus was determined to curve it into the girl wearing the espeon ears. Marcellus had been listening however, despite his growing dislike and suspicions for the girl and the Pokémon. He was listening to every word making sure he could see if he couldn't catch the Lucario in something, but he make sure to keep his face and expression as friendly and interested as he could. "That is true, I vaguely remember the explosion with all of the commotion. Had it happened in here, there would be no way we wouldn't have seen the explosion." He agreed, which was the truth. While he was suspicious of the Lucario, he didn't think he was entirely lacking in intelligence. He was making quite a bit of sense. The canine then stood on a chair, which caught Marcellus by surprise. He quickly took a step away from the Pokémon. Just in case the Lucario caused another outburst from the Archduchess, he didn't want to be caught in the crossfire. The Pokémon commented on the lack of fuse box or panel, which caused Marcellus to do a quick glance around the room to see if he had been right, which what he could see was true. They seem to be in agreeance on the lights being cut from another location, but then the Lucario wanted to search the hotel together. This caused his eyebrow to raise. Why would he want to do that? He quickly thought for a reason, and could only assume that he wants to pull Marcellus away from the female. He wasn't worried and didn't feel like he was in danger, but if he was stumbling onto her, of course her Pokémon would want to remove him from the equation, and send him on a wild goose chase. He thought for just a quick second before responding. "I suppose that would be a good idea." He commented, reaching into one of his Pockets and pulled out a minimized Pokeball, and returned Angelique. He didn't want her running around, nor did he want her causing a commotion after the Archduchess' warning. "My Mewtwo probably would prefer to stay in here, but I'll search with you." He responded with an unblinking friendly expression. Marcellus glanced to the doorways he could see, which lead to the kitchen, outside, and to the foyer. Elemental Paradisity  Estelle "Stella" Eleanore Crawford Estelle listened to the young girl while she explained the details of what happened. Estelle believed her when she said they were going to give her the best treatment available. She was with the Archduchess, it would be shocking if she didn't. it was surprising that the older woman wasn't upset about the stolen Pokémon at all, and just who ever the brunette was. The girl was apparently going to be fine, so why not worry about where the gigalith was? She was sure it could lead to the, at least one, of the criminals. "The girl's injury is a tragedy but I wonder why she didn't care about that beauty of a Pokémon." She thought out loud. She wasn't exactly familiar with the Pokémon, but she couldn't deny it's wonder. She listened to the young girl speak, and couldn't help but noticed how articulate she was. The teenager of course had an excuse, and she understood that. He was deaf, and was communicating through a Pokémon like a psychic carrier pigeon, if they were more interesting. It made sense the commentary was brief and to the point. However her thought process was fairly sensical, and thought through. The retired opera singer found this interesting and raised an eyebrow with an impressed look as she pondered. She looked back to the stage and crossed an arm over her shapely chest, and brought a finger to her lip. "That is a very good point, but if you look at the stage and where the table was..." She spoke, still looking at the stage. "It's quite a strange reflex to go further on the stage. I think we may both be right here. I believe we may have more then one criminal." She stated, giving her opinion on the matter. It was tiresome that they would be stuck here possibly all night. What a waste of time. Maybe as it gets later she might try to convince the Baron to allow her to go to a room to sleep. She was never one to lose her beauty sleep. As they continued, it would seem that her suspicions were correct. "Oh, Johto? That's quite a distance." She spoke with a nod. "That does make sense with your...Hair accessories." She commented on the girls strange fashion choice. Being a trainer and a trainer from the region that Espeon were popular in made a bit of sense. She looked about the room for a moment see if she might recognize any Pokémon as her's, but she couldn't. "It's lovely that you have friends here." She commented, considering the girl had an acquaintance that could keep an eye on her Pokémon for her. "It's not often so many youthful trainers come to quint events such as these. It's made for interesting conversations." she stated to her, While had a less then enjoyable conversation with the teenage boy, she had learned something from his espeon. As well as her opinion seemed to be rather interesting thus far.

ElfyElizabeth PlumElizabeth pet and scratched the rockruff as long as he would allow. she gave him a smile as he began to give her licks in response. "There are so many friendly Pokémon here, it's so refreshing." She complimented as the rockruff soon went off on his way. She was use to Pokémon like the Snubull the Archduchess had. Trained but not so friendly. It made her happy to see. She looked back to her cutiefly who buzzed happily. With that interaction out of the way, she now stood up. Tucking her shortish hair behind her ear. Slinging the bag over her shoulder again, and lifted her long black skirt as she began to walk across the room, with her fairy Pokémon fluttering with her. The reporter began to jump out of her as she wanted to hear that Marco had to say to the Baron's and Kathrine's questions. She made sure not to look at the group as she carelessly moved past them, and made her way to get a glass of water. With the two people already near the table, she drifted past the doors to the foyer and stood on the other side of it, trying to stay within ear shot, as she held her glass up. Her cutiefly landed on the side and began to take little sips from it.
Meanwhile as the Abra remained stationary as it hovered in the air. But he was still paying attention. As the canine explained the scent had matched one of the guests for the clasp, the Abra suddenly moved and looked in the direction of the Pokémon despite his eyes were still closed. The psychic nodded to the small canine before turning to face the guard as it passed on the information to him. The guard looked down to the puppy, and gave him a scratch on the head, telling him he was a good boy before turning to the Archduchess and whispering the findings to her, since the Baron was following another lead.[Mars officially connected the clasp to Elizabeth Plum] Cyren has received:+20 total exp split amongst his party of your choice.

Katie Du'Mont♪ My Bartender she's from the islands, her body's been kissed by the sun. Coconut replaces the smell of the bar, and I don't know if it's her or the rum. ♪ Katie was glad to be included in the investigation. It gave her something to do other than sitting around with her own thoughts - something it seemed was not doing many of the present guests well. "Thank you for the offer. I would love to join you. I'll help you with all of the interviews if you'd like." That just meant she'd keep busy and distracted while potentially catching a murderer. She sat at the table along with Demetri, though she did not offer her hand to the pair of men. She didn't think she was important enough for introductions and therefore stayed quiet. Besides, the closer she was to Marco, the more she could feel a sense of... evil about him. Sure it very well could have been in her mind but with her past experiences that was understandable.
While the introductions were being made and Marco retrieved a drink from a nearby table, Aipom thought about joining his Trainer. However, upon further thought, decided that giving his position away was a bad idea and stayed put. Aipom needed to be here in case Marco let something slip after the interview thinking himself no longer overheard by third parties. Hoopa floated past the stage, trying to watch everyone and piece together who had been where. Moving through the area where the thickest of the crowd had been standing during the outage, he began to search the floor there hoping to find something incriminating to join the other clues on the table. Having found one lead Hoopa was eager to help more.
She had tried to keep Elizabeth Plum's identity quiet for the moment, but from the hint she'd offered Demetri seemed to have figured it out very quickly. That made her feel bad but she did not suspect Elizabeth to have any part in this. Fortunately Demetri seemed to put that off until a later time. The interview began pleasantly enough. No open signs of hostility were shown. The second male didn't shake the Baron's hand, but he had been distracted with his Pokemon. Katie couldn't fault him for that - Hoopa could be quiet the handful at the most inopportune times. It was Aipom, however, who noticed the look on Sableye. A look that could be described as worried. That was only more evidence to the monkey that the ghost was guilty of involvement. Only time would tell.

It would be a good idea to always have a witness in the interrogations, especially since he was still a suspect as well. He, of course, knew where he was and what he did and didn't do. But he couldn't expect anyone to automatically rule him out because he was conducting the investigation. "We'll have to see where the investigation goes, but that would be a good idea." He replied, agreeing to her offer, but he couldn't guarantee her presence at everyone. She was still a suspect too, so if things started pointing in certain directions he might not be able to allow her to follow that be the case. It would seem that the taller male wasn't able to accept his hand shake due to his Noivern intercepting it, nuzzling his hand. He couldn't deny the nuzzle so he rubbed her nose and scratched her head. "Well, It was a very warm hello." he replied with a chuckle. He wasn't bothered by her intrusion, he had his own noivern as well but he wasn't as petite as she was. "I have a Noivern myself, and he likes the attention too. But I'm not lucky enough to be able to let him out in here." He explained, he didn't want Cyren to think she was a bother. While he agreed with his grandmother after the debacle on the stage, he was happy to see her. After introducing himself and Eve, Marco also answered with his name, stating that he didn't have a choice before grabbing a drink and relaxing back into his chair. Katie didn't move to introduce herself or talk with them, merely sitting next to him. It wasn't suspicious to him, but he couldn't help but notice how quiet she became. Maybe she was just thinking or analyzing. She was there to be a witness so she was taking it seriously. To Marco it seemed like he was avoiding answering the question. It was a very odd question to ask, but it would seem that Demetri were asking the questions, not Marco. Maybe he wasn't all sunshine and rainbows like he acted. He asked him to tell a bit more about his job, which was still a bit odd, but it was clear to him he was going to answer one way or another. I go into ruins of old temples and building and look to recover ancient artifacts. Like I told Cyren a bit ago, I've gotten to explore places like Dandelion Island, and the Abyssal Ruins. Plenty others too." He commented. They were notable places he had been able to dig, however it all had been made clear as to why he was asking his questions as Demetri continued. "Thank, Friend Eve." He commented in his hissing voice before turning around and moved up the back of Marco's chair and stood so he was peeking out over his shoulder. His gem like eyes still peering down at the Aipom hiding. Meanwhile, Marco reached up and pat the ghost as he spoke. "You're asking why and how I came to a public event? It was on the news." He clarified. It wasn't a secret gathering. He didn't have to sneak in, he walked right in the front doors. "I get it, you're asking questions like you should. But I'm not the only person here you should be looking at. I'm not here to make enemies, but I would start asking a lot more questions to a lot more people in this room." He advised, waving his index finger around in the air. It figured he would be the first one they went after. But he wasn't about to get arrested today. "If you need an alibi, I was over here with Cyren and Eve. They'll vouch." He offered, looking to the taller male sitting near by.Things we learned:The clasp officially does not belong to MarcoMarco is an independent archeologist. IE unlicensed, and is a thief. Marco wasn't invited.

Mars decided to rejoin his trainer after telling the Abra about the clasp. He responded to the head scratch with a small bark before making his way over to Cyren and Eve. The Rockruff hopped into his trainer's lap then up on to the table from there, laying down in front of Cyren with his head on his paws. He could just as easily have listened in on the conversation from the ground but this felt more comfortable. Cyren looked a bit concerned by the lack of Kabuto with the Rockruff but he decided that searching for Yami could wait until after Demetri finished questioning Marco.Partners:

The Baron had been a bit more frank and honest with Marco then he normally would, but the male could see through his kind words. He knew it was an interrogation, and Demetri was sure that he had been in one before seeing that he could read his statements for what they were. He had been watching his body language and almost thought that he was faking his relaxation, but this broke as he spoke. A little bit at least, in his frustration and explaining his career. Marco was right, you could spin a story in any way to make someone look guilty, but if there was a logical explanation that points at him, its how the Baron needed to look at it. Shortly there after a sableye scurried up Marco and was looking over his shoulder. He couldn't help but steal a glance at Katie, it was just as she said, he did have one. Marco continued to speak, and Baron listened to him. These statements did appear more genuine then before. Not that he seemed to be lying before, but he appeared a bit more frustrated, and real. Marco was right, it was a public event, it was just odd to the Baron he was the only one not on any list, but it was right, he didn't sneak in. Marco then offered up Cyren and Eve as his alibi, which really only one of them would be helpful right now, but one was better then none. The taller male obliged and spoke up about how he didn't approach the stage. "Well, it is unfortunate that it was so dark, for so long. He would have had time to get to the stage and back in time. Anyone would have had time enough too commit at least one of the crimes." Demetri commented. There had been three offenses, with his accusations he would have had time to get to the stage grab the Pokeball and get back in time. Demetri opened his mouth to continue, but Eve seemed to speak up. The Baron stopped and let her speak, and was unable to stifle a small smile. Once she finished, he gave her a nod back with an understanding expression, despite having no clue what she had said. He turned back to Cyren and continued. "Well, that is unless you or your Pokémon were able to see him still here in the dark." He offered, asking Cyren if he had been able to see Marco there. He continued on to explain that he believed Marco was innocent, and that he hadn't caused any trouble like others have. "That is very true, Cyren. The both of you have been one of the more... Quiet guests here. Your Pokémon seem to be well behaved too." He admitted to the both of them. He was interrogating them, but he was going to honest and give them where credit was due. "That being said, we do have to look at everyone with equally." He told both Marco and Cyren. It was pretty quick and easy, but he got all of the answers he really needed with the details they all had. Marco explained himself fairly well, and while it was illegal to be unlicensed, that doesn't mean he automatically committed the crime. But he wasn't off the hook yet either. No one had been proven innocent yet. Cyren then asked who brought Marco in as a suspect. Demetri paused for a moment, and thought, glancing from Marco to Cyren. He had to really think if he wanted to admit this statement. "Normally I would never release that information. But I am asking everyone for help, so everyone need the information. As well as our Abras are watching everyone for further aggression..." He spoke, looking to Katie. He wanted her to know that she had protection, as well as that Marco and Cyren were being watched in case they wanted to retaliate. "our guest, Elizabeth told Katie here, and she passed this information along to me. Which as she should have with information like this." He told them. He didn't want to seem like he was throwing them under the bus, but everything needed to be public knowledge if he expected everyone to help.(I hope you don't mind me skipping you Red, I just want to keep the Ball rolling for everyone.) His fingers drum absentmindedly against the head of his elaborate Entei head cane as he thought. He knew he wasn't in any real danger - his team had grown strong enough to protect him from most threats. Unfortunately that didn't stop him from wanting to punch first and ask questions later. He scanned the room trying to keep track of where all his Pokemon were - they were searching for more clues and he didn't want them to be too far if things turned south unexpectedly.
He didn't know these people. He didn't trust these people. Marcellus was off with some Lucario and Liz was off throwing some sort of hissy fit. He was confused and had no direction to aim his frustration. God have mercy on whoever was behind this, because if he found them first...they would regret the actions that lead them to this point in their lives. Then he would be on his way, and be able to put in the focus he should have been towards the Gym League challenge. Nothing would be able to stop him when he came back.
Noctowl flew over to the Baron and company, landing on the back of a vacant seat nearby. He would not hide his presence and not bother pretending he wasn't listening in. He wanted to know what they knew, and he felt he had every right to eavesdrop. As before, a number of his Pokemon were staying close to him, but Persian moved away from the band and instead went snooping around the exits. Arcanine walked over to the clues and sniffed the clues. He sniffed each of them in turn and then went over to smell others from the crowd.

Elizabeth Morgan Liz took to her corner like a Grimer in filth. After that outburst nobody in their right mind would want anything to do with her. She muttered angrily to herself. Julian was a jerk. Marcellus was no help. She was an idiot. Her Pokemon were trying to help but they hadn’t managed anything at all. She was pretty sure someone had something to say to her about the fire. Spike still hadn’t come out of hiding long enough to tell anyone that it was his needle pinned to the stage. Nagi was finally free of Liz’s grip and he was staying out of her reach. Right after he smacked her over the head with his sheath before replacing it over his blade. She swore and snarled at her Honedge but didn’t try to fight further.
Belle’s return was thankfully disguised by Ridley’s approach of the redhead. The Tsareena slipped in beside Leah, who huffed a warning that Liz was in no mood to be messed with. A quick stamp of her foot silenced the budding argument. Belle had tried to do something and it failed. She didn’t need Leah bringing up her absence just because Liz was losing her mind. Liz herself was busy muttering and almost didn’t notice the blonde approach her. She was fidgeting with her fingers like she was trying to get a grip on some invisible thread. She couldn’t hide the squeak of surprise as she caught notice of the sharp heels in front of her. “H-wha? Oh. Y-yeah. Think it’s impossible sometimes.” She responded with a weak smile. Her eyes shone with unshed tears as she tried to use Ridley’s presence to distract her from getting more upset.
She managed a slightly larger smile as she considered the humor of the situation. “Heh. Don’t suppose you’re here to tell me you know everything so we can get this done?” She didn’t really believe Ridley knew any more than anyone else but what a sweet gift it would be. She took note of the woman’s Jynx and offered a polite nod to the Pokemon. “Is that a—oh...what did Josette say she turns to?” Liz shook her head quickly. “Sorry. I’m not much of a trainer myself. It’s hard to memorize so many.” She admitted with a bashful wave of her hand before rubbing the back of her neck. She didn‘t feel like good company at the moment but she was certainly wanting to prove herself wrong. “Oh, God, my manners. My name is Liz. Liz Morgan. Venus finally came back inside, still wet from her time searching around in the fountain. She tried not to draw any attention to herself as she positioned herself next to her trainer, not wanting to interrupt the conversation. Her trainer noticed her almost immediately. He removed his waistcoat before picking her up and bundling her up in it to help her dry off and keep warm. Venus didn't care much for being held but she still appreciated the gesture. She got to warm up after studying the cold fountain and she could better listen to the conversation going on at the table. Maybe she would learn something she could use to help the Tsareena.
At the mention of the Abras his Rockruff barked. He still had no way of communicating what he had learned about the clasp without going through the Abras or another Psychic Pokemon. He had just laid his head back down when the Noctowl passing over them got his attention. A bird could be useful. Someone needed to keep track of the woman whose scent was on the clasp and there was always a chance the owl knew someone that could talk to the humans. He hopped down from the table, approaching the Noctowl and climbing into the seat of its chair. "I don't suppose you can talk to people? Or know somebody who can?" The Rockruff scratched behind his ear before laying back down. "I know whose scent was on one of the clues." He looked around for a moment before nodding towards the blonde reporter. "That one. The girl with the Cutiefly. I've only been able to tell the Abras. They informed the humans on stage but those humans aren't the ones questioning people. The guy running the show is too busy bugging my trainer and that other guy. I need someone to tell him about the clasp so he stops wasting time here." Fortunately for her, she somehow managed to keep her face passive and give nothing away. "i used the information available to me, and gave it to the Baron. She said, speaking for the first time since joining the interview. "If you are innocent, then that will be enough. You will have my full apology." She didn't look ashamed of herself at all. In fact, quite the opposite. She looked determined to have the truth.
Of course, many things had lead her to the suspicion of Marco's guilt. She was perfectly justified in telling Demetri. That did nothing to alleviate the feeling of panic and guilt - as if caught with her hand in the cookie jar. If it came out that Marco was innocent, she knew it would not look good on her. They might think she was trying to incriminate someone else to cover up her own tracks. If that was the case, if they thought that, then she would volunteer to be interviewed next in order to clear her name.
However, those things did not matter just yet. Right now they had to focus on Marco and figuring out how - if at all - he had been involved. While these thoughts were occurring to the Trainer, her Aipom seemed to have been spotted by his mark. He stared down the unblinking gems of Sableye without blinking. If Sableye was guilty, this might make it think Aipom knew. If it was innocent, then it would say 'I'm watching you'. He disappeared into the long tablecloth and disappeared out the other side, losing himself in the crowd to spy from somewhere else.

Elfy gravity_resistant Marco DirkMarco sat quietly as Cyren vouched for him. That was enough to ease his mind a bit. He had his alibi, and was glad that it seemed that Demetri was believing it. The Baron commented on how he and Cyren had been some of the quieter guests here, and complimented their Pokémon's behavior. While he knew Sableye was decently trained, he definitely agreed with Cyren's. At least with Eve. He hadn't really seen his Rockruff or Kabuto out and about, and Venus seemed to be calm tempered. It wasn't too often that he's seen a dragon type so calm. For the most part. However, Cyren asked a question that peeked his interest. He asked who pointed a finger at him. It caused his head to turn and look at Cyren with a smile, but before looking back t the Baron. It was a good question. He explained that someone named Elizabeth told the young blonde here, and she stepped forward with her information. Marco was almost surprised the Baron threw her so far under the bus, but he was glad Demetri did. Marco looked over Katie for a moment as she commented on it. She stated she used the information given to her, and that she would apologize when he was proven innocent. He gave her a lazy shrug. "No harm, no foul. Sounds like you were fed a story and passed it along." He told her calmly. She was a young girl, so he wasn't exactly all that worried about her exactly. He wouldn't count anyone out as a threat or that could have committed the crime. Cyren soon asked if he recognized the 'Elizabeth' that pointed a finger at him. It was just a first name... But he took a moment to scan the room quickly disguised as stretching his back. The ones he did know had a different name, but ones he looked to the short haired blonde and had a name to the face he was able to some recall. "I can recall her name now that you mention it. But all I know is she's some reporter or something I've seen long ago. And I obviously don't know this young lady." He shrugged, and then gestured to Katie. He didn't really know the woman, Elizabeth or Katie, so he couldn't point a finger back at her. "All I know is that I would question her, but also turn your attention to those here that are remaining quiet and out of the way. You'll probably find they're just as suspicious as that story you heard about me." he told them. If the reporter was pointing her fingers at him, and knew about his career choices, then he wanted her looked at too. But he also was sure some of those people who hadn't come forward to help were just as suspicious as he was. "Did either of you have any more questions for either of us?" Marco questioned, looking from Katie to the Baron as he look another sip of his drink.
Meanwhile the Sableye continued to stare at the table that concealed the Aipom. It's expression never changed and he didn't try to signal Marco to look at the Aipom. He just stared with his smile. Whether the Aipom gesture about watching him or not, the little ghost creature was unmoving at his stare. Even after the Aipom disappeared and moved to another undisclosed location, the ghost remained staring at the table for a good moment. The Sableye didn't react once the Noctowl landed, nor did Marco other then a glance to the Pokémon. The man's main focus was on Demetri's and Katie's. However, after the Aipom had been long gone, he finally pulled his attention away to look to the noctowl. He didn't pay much attention to Venus but he looked down as Mars began to speak. He listened, and then looked to the Noctowl, his expression and smile remaining unchanged. He looked up to the ceiling and made a circle motion in the air, seeming to make note that he had noticed the flying type in the air earlier. "Hi Bird." He stated with opening and losing his hand in the Noctowl's direction as if waving. He didn't exactly know what he was, all he knew was that it wasn't a Zubat or Swoobat, or any of the Pokémon Marco had. He might have seen one before, but just lacked the knowledge of what kind of Pokémon he actually was.
