SAGE WILLOWS
NICKNAMES(S) // n/a AGE // nineteen GENDER // female SEXUALITY // heterosexual CLASS/OCCUPATION // Beginner trainer RELATIONSHIP // single |
APPEARANCE
HAIR: Sage has dark brown hair that reaches a few inches passed her shoulders. Her bangs are long and hang in a way that frame most of her face and reach beyond her jawline, leaving most of her forehead exposed.
EYES: Her eyes are a teal color, although Sage likes to refer to them as cerulean. In public settings, her gaze tends to be more sharp and narrowed and her expression guarded. Although with friends and family, her features relax and the laughter reaches her eyes.
BODY TYPE: Sage stands at 5'4" which is slightly below average height for a female. She is a healthy weight, although it may be considered a bit of the skinnier side as she wouldn't be described as curvaceous. The curves of her feminine form are very modest, as is her chest size. Although, being rather adverse to attention, Sage has never minded her less than stellar body shape.
PERSONALITY
For as long as Sage can remember, she has always had an INTROVERTED personality. Never one to care much for socializing or popularity. Instead, she had developed into quite the RECLUSE during her childhood and early teen years. Although, Sage had never been adverse to friendships or making friends. But, rather, felt as though she didn't quite fit into the mind frame of her school peers. She always felt she was more mature in certain aspects, and then more immature in others.
Fast forward to adulthood, and Sage has developed into a SERIOUS person who tends to be rather critical or judgemental of situations. Despite this, Sage can still be rather EMPATHETIC toward others plights and does have difficulty turning pushy people down.
BIOGRAPHY
Sage Willows was the first of the two born on SEPTEMBER 8th. Fifteen minutes later her younger sister, and fraternal twin, Osheen Willows, was born. The two girls were the twin daughters to mother Tabatha and father Westley, and they all grew up in Kalos, within SANTALUNE CITY to be precise. Tabatha and Westley's marriage didn't last more than a few years and he moved out before Sage and Osheen were old enough to even remember a time where he lived with them.
Westley stayed in Santalune City for the following few years, and so Sage and Osheen's life had always been, for as long as they could remember, "visitation". However, when Tabatha fell in love with a man named Vince, and Vince moved in, relations between Tabatha and Westley became very shaky. Vince was a very controlling man and especially critical of his "step-daughters". He was even more critical of Westley, and for a time Westley was banned from the house or having the girls every other weekend.
However, Westley had never been a man who did well with "responsibility", and fatherhood hadn't been something he was ready for. He ended up packing his bags and moved clean out of Santalune, and halfway across Kalos. It was a dark time for both Sage and Osheen.
When they were both six their younger half-brother was born; Tristan. A few years later, and Tabatha and Vince broke things off, Vince moving out into his own place in Santalune and kept up visitation rights with Tristan. With the tyrant out of the house, Sage and Osheen's lives became to return from the chaos. Although, in the earlier years, there was a noticeable distance between the twins and their younger brother. A bitterness.
Tristan had always been, and would continue to be, treated as their mother and Vince's favorite child. Tristan often got away with things that Sage and Osheen could never dream of being pardoned for. And it was during this time that they began to welcome the attention from their biological father, Westley. Westley had secured a job that allowed him to travel and began to visit the girls from time to time, especially during the holidays. His life was finally looking up, and more secure, although Sage and Osheen would eventually learn he would never be "ready" to be an actual father to them.
Still, it was nice to have someone dote on them, and view them as their favorite. Sage and Osheen attended school in Santalune and were each other's emotional support. Like most twin stories, they were inseparable and spent most of their time always engaging in mutual hobbies together as well as classes. They seemed to act as one unit with one combined mind, and this often resulted in others viewing their bond as "toxic", as the girls not having their own "individuality", or just that they were snobs who snubbed everyone else.
After graduating from high school, however, their mother had really began to place down the pressure of them being adults. Tabatha became very pushy and adamant on them going to college and learning how to drive. On top of that, she became more and more increasingly naggy about them taking their Pokémon journey.
Sage would have kept procrastinating, for as long as it took. But, it was actually Osheen who convinced her of otherwise. Her sister was becoming more and more stressed out and anxious over the impending journey, and their mother's constant nagging, and so with a heavy heart and an exasperated sigh... Sage agreed for them to finally do it. She wasn't happy about it, and actually agreeing to get it over with just ended up bringing her anxiety!
