"Hello, This is Pepper Olsen with your Local News. I'm here at this quick pop up lab in Johto where there have been reports of multiple discoveries of new Pokémon. We had no word on where these Pokémon have come from, or why they haven't been seen before. Some believe they may be new evolutions for some of these Pokémon for they are linked to known Pokémon, while others have never been seen before. Only time will tell as these scientists go over and really learn about these Pokémon. Let take a closer look at what they believe is a new form or evolution for Octillery. As you see here it's much more capable of-" *She begins nearing the octillery, but as she gets close enough the Pokémon unleashes a rapid stream of water out of it's cannon like mouth, blasting Pepper Olsen screaming out of frame. The news feed quickly turns to a 'please the patient' screen and hold music.* Happy 24th anniversary of Pokémon!! Here at Hidden Legends we would like to celebrate this wonderful Game, Anime, Manga, Trading Card Game, and so much more. Not only is it an entertaining game to play for hours and hours and hours on end, or a less then perfect TV Show, It's something that brought all of us, and so many other people together as friends. So, because of this we do want to do something special, which might explain what our good ol' friend Pepper Olsen was explaining. We are going to celebrate each other, and Pokémon, by celebrating the Pokémon that almost were. You may claim one of the following Beta Pokémon at level 5: Things to know!:-You may claim one of these Beta Pokémon's first evolution at level 5. If you prefer not to get one of these beta Pokémon, you can claim any first level Johto Pokémon at level 5. -These Pokémon are not first come first serve, so any one may claim any. -These Pokémon are considered their own separate Pokémon, despite being a beta form of an exisiting Pokémon. This being said, they will not be able to mega evolve. -These Pokémon will have some differences from their actual used Pokémon. For example HooHoo will be slightly different from Noctowl. They might be a different type, learn some different moves, or have a different ability. It depends on the Pokémon. If you have any questions, please ask before officially claiming! -The Pokémon that have never been used will be getting a full make up, and will be considered one of a kind Fakemon for you. -After making your claim, please give us about a week's time, so we can create the information for you as well as the updated sprites for you to use. -If you have any further questions please don't be afraid to ask!

If I were to ask for the info on a couple different options and decide from which one I prefer, is that possible?

I have mostly benign inquiries: Flambear: appears to be Fire/Electric eventually? Can you confirm or deny? Animon: WTF IS THIS may I please understand Rayleep: I’m guessing a Mantine twist, could it also be Bug Type? It’s a stretch but I get this buggy feeling out of it. So I wanted to check before I commit.

Well, mostly I want to know what the difference is with this Steelix, the moves Hoothoot/Hoohoo would learn, and what the deal is with Grimey and Tael. Oh yeah what does the ditto evolution learn/get?

Animon: WTF IS THIS may I please understand Rayleep: I’m guessing a Mantine twist, could it also be Bug Type? It’s a stretch but I get this buggy feeling out of it. So I wanted to check before I commit. We talked it over, and looked up other leaks and ideas. We agree that the Flambear line would just be fire type. I answered on Discord but I'll answer again here for onlookers! Animon is a Ditto evolution. Rayleep does seem to be a Beta Mantine, so unfortunately it does look like it'll be Water/Flying.Well, mostly I want to know what the difference is with this Steelix, the moves Hoothoot/Hoohoo would learn, and what the deal is with Grimey and Tael. Oh yeah what does the ditto evolution learn/get? Steelix would just be a normal Steelix, since there doesn't seem to be any beta form about it. I didn't exactly think to remove it or the other Pokémon that made it into the actual game. Hoothoot would be normal, however Hoohoo I would still be Normal Flying, however we would change it, leaning it away from it's Psychic moves and lean towards dark type attacks since Owls are nocturnal. We don't have all of the Learn sets because we're going to make them as they're claimed. Grimey is a Grimer Baby Pokémon. So it would have an assortment of Grimer's moves. Tael is a Beta Aipom, but it's completely different and more of a lemur then the monkey Aipom is. It would still be normal type, but it would have more grass type attacks in it's level up learn set. Animon… You know... It'll transform... Maybe go "ahhhhh" and screm all day? But we have been a little stumped with that thing. We probably would give it more existing transforming moves, but we're still figuring that thing out.

COUGHyou should make it so the ditto evolution has a bonus for breeding shiny pokemonCOUGH Not gonna lie, that would be neat. But that would fall under an ability, and we aren't making any custom abilities or attacks for these Pokémon unfortunately. At least we have the Luck Incense that does that?

What is Kurstraw?

I think I can handle that question: Kurstraw is FREAKING DOPE and you should get one. XD But the serious answer: Kurstraw is a little panda voodoo doll that evolves into Pangshi, it's not obvious at first glance but they are both Panda Pokemon (I am speculating that it evolves at all, but I am confident it does). My best guess would be Ghost and Ghost/Fighting, but that's only because of Pancham that I think Pangshi would be a Fighting Type. Honestly, with what I know about the Jiangshi Zombie Vampires (yes, China put zombies and vampires together), Pangshi is most likely going to kick out Ghost/Dark instead of Ghost/Fighting. This was a strong contender for Rooker's choice, but I didn't want to force yet another Ghost onto Liz and Kintaro would spend all his time comparing Kurstraw to his Pancham Marshall. I answered on Discord but I'll answer again here for onlookers! Animon is a Ditto evolution. Rayleep does seem to be a Beta Mantine, so unfortunately it does look like it'll be Water/Flying.Dang! Do you think it might have slightly more access to electric attacks given the names? Volbear for sure sounds Electric while Dynabear it seems more practical that it would be straight Fire (unless Volbear was Fire/Electric). Also dang! I had this tiny hope that Rayleep would have some not-Mantine in it. Which I'm sure there are some cool moves it might learn, but I digress. In any case, I shall claim one Flambear for Liz! It was a long, tough journey but the Beta Fire Starter is muh boi! I need to stop collecting Fire Types, Liz already has too many. She should just oust Blaine at this rate.Oh yeah, did anybody else notice that Beta Remoraid is a freaking gun? The ring on the lower half of its tail is the trigger guard, and the stripes on its back aren't stripes, they are grooves like a revolver barrel. Pokemon came that close to having guns beyond a shadow of a doubt. I also love Octillery's Army Tank design.

o^o I can has Cruz pls? Tiny plesiosaur is too precious. You can has!Kurstraw would be a new Pokémon entirely. It's guessed that it's pure ghost type, and is a straw voodoo doll. It will evolve into Pangshi which also is theorized to be pure ghost type. Which could be up for discussion for Ghost Dark like Rooker purposed, Paradisity and I would have to discuss that one.Dang! Do you think it might have slightly more access to electric attacks given the names? But I think the "Vol" comes from Volcano like Volcarona.
Yeah, if you look up its artwork it looks like an actual flying fish with a little fin tail. I wasn't sure either until I googled it. it is really cute tho!
I definitely did, and I love it. Miss Pepper Olsen figured that out the hard way too.
I'll be claimed Twinz for Alec.

Hello! We would like to thank you all for being so patient with us! We finally got them finished, there are a few that don't have sprites, but those I'll get out soon and edit this. The only sprites I didn't create are Flambear, Cruz Line, and Twinz. And to give credit where credit is due, Thanks to Paradisity for creating the main info and abilities for these Beta Pokémon, and I threw together the moves. If you think I missed a move please let me know! I might add it! But here you are! Don't forget to let us know who these Pokémon are going to!{Flambear (Click)} Name: Flambear Type: Fire Species: The Tiny Bear Pokemon Ability: Blaze | Overcoat Height: (From ground to top of head) 1'9" Weight: 18.6 lbs Shiny: When shiny, a Flambear's fur patterns are inverted.
