 "Buildings from an age long gone still stand about the steaming hot spring that covers the town."
In the north east of the Galar region, where the landscape becomes snowy and ice flows through the rivers, Circhester is a winter wonderland for those who don't mind the chilly weather. It stays fairly cold fairly regularly in this part of the region, with regular snow, but that doesn't make Circhester any less of a beautiful and special place. Not only does it have a League Stadium that puts it on the map, but Circhester is famous for its architecture and old buildings that have been refurbished, revitalized, and preserved from one of the older parts of Galar's history. The people here take pride in their preserved town, maintaining the history and age of the walkways, the iron street lamps, and of course the famous hot spring that bring many a tourist to this frosty place. It is completely natural, and well looked after, along with bits and pieces of the story of Galar's amazing history of the sword and shield, making for a truly special and unique place in the region.
{ Circhester Stadium (Click)}Gordie is the official Gym Leader of the Circhester Gym. He specializes in Rock type Pokemon, and gives out the Rock Badge to those who defeat him. Gordie grew up in a loving family with his four siblings, being raised by his also renowned trainer mother Melony. She once held the title of Gym Leader, however she moved on to the Elite 4 to which Gordie took over. Ever since Gordie has gained quite the fan base, being one of the most popular Gym Leaders in Galar, second only to Marnie. He gained his following by not only being a very strong trainer, but because of his battle style. He makes sure to engage the audience in his battles, and keep them hyped up. Like a few of the other gym leaders, his battles always brings a huge crowd to see. He is a very gracious winner, however when he losses he often shuts himself away in the Locker room in fear of disappointing his fans. He often refuses to do any interviews until he's gotten more training in. That being said he's still very kind and friendly to those who defeat him. Gordie's stadium rests north of the city. The stadium has the same matching design as most of the gyms before his. except the majority of the round exterior is a terracotta color. Once inside of the Gym, The lobby is set up just like every other gym with the ticket booths, and gift shop, however in his you can purchase one of his many posters cards or flip books. Some even signed. Challengers will be ushered into the locker rooms and requested and encouraged to wear the uniform they were giving at the first gym but it isn't required. Once they agree they're ready they will be lead to a separate room, which is much longer then it seems, and completely made of sand.. Gordie's gym challenge isn't optional in which the challenger will be given a Dowsing Rod that will beep and Vibrate to lead them in the correct direction through the room that would feel like walking on a sandy beach at first. But step off the wrong path and they'll fall into a trap and need to be rescued and start over. They will need to walk 3 separate paths, the third being the longest, and the hardest. On top of which, despite being in doors, there is a raging sand storm blowing across it. Once through the maze, they will find a door leading into the stadium where the whole challenge was broadcasted for the audience. The stadium is large, flat and open like all the rest. However the battle field is rocky instead of covered in grass. There were only two more locations left for the Galar Region, one coming up to the east and one furthest to the north, and then they would be finished and need to make their way to the east towards the Hoenn Region. Emiri was excited, that would be four regions completed and only four more to go, and while Sinnoh and Hoenn both were on the larger side, Johto and Kanto were not, so she felt pretty confident in being able to complete the race in its entirety.
Moving through the air and navigating to the north east, the next city they were looking for was a place called Circhester, and as the air began to grow colder and Emiri needed to huddle closer to Charizard, the landscape changed from lush fields and forest to icy rivers and snow banks. It seemed it was pretty typical for this portion of the region to be much colder due to the elevation, for as they landed in Circhester snow seemed to be the norm the way that everyone was dressed and everything was outfitted to handle colder weather. She was able to find the Pokemon Center and made her way in to find Nurse Joy, and was pleased to be able to get her next stamp, with only one more to go. Elfana Aroway Circhester was more her speed. While she couldn't appreciate the older appearance of the town, the weather was lovely. That more than made up for the look of the place. Pantalaimon was bundled up in her coat so he could stay out of his Pokeball. She didn't mind walking through the cold without it. In fact she preferred it. After dealing with the heat in Alola, the snow was something she could appreciate. At Kayuki's insistence, they stopped by the hot spring before the Pokemon Center. Kayuki refused to pass up an opportunity admire the hot spring. She had no interest in going in it but the warmth of the area was wonderful. Elfana didn't share her enthusiasm. Pantalaimon did though. He was allowed to wiggle free of the coat long enough to try to dip one of his feet into the water. He scurried back to Elfana after. She wrapped him back up and used the coat to dry off his foot so it wouldn't get cold on the walk to the Pokemon Center. This proved to be a good call when it started to snow before they reached the Pokemon Center. Elfana gave the Turtwig to Kayuki to hold until she was done at the counter. She rejoined them after she collected her stamp. Rather than going back outside, Walter agreed to Teleport them to Route 8. They wouldn't have to deal with Spikemuth again that way and Pantalaimon could avoid the cold. The little group vanished from the Pokemon Center soon after. Galar

Grim took a deep breath of the misty air and felt content as he made his way foreward.  Toxapex caught, his goal had been accomplished fairly easily.
"That was a good fight, you got a really strong-looking pokemon there." A voice spoke up behind him, causing Grim to turn around and find three trainers had silently approached him.
"Thanks." He replied rather simply, unsure what else to say to such a compliment. For a moment he was wary of the man and two women, but as one of them smiled he realized their intent.
"You want a battle?" He ventured, sure he had figured them out correctly. The girl on the right nodded vigeriously before stepping foreward.
"Yes! We're training for the gym here, you see, and it could really help to fight someone other than us for once!" As she spoke, Grim considered backing down for a moment. It had been a long day of battling and training and his pokemon had to be tired, however just as he was about to voice this Raika and Luckett both gave excited replies. He couldn't understand them, but their tone was enough. Even though he knew he would use the pokemon that still needed work rather than those two, he decided in the end it wouldn't hurt.

Mia whistled and stepped back as Grim once again took the win. However, to Grim's surprise, the second girl remained where she was.
"Oh!" She seemed to have noticed his expectant look and smiled. "Sorry, I just root them on! I'm not actually a trainer. Well, I am, but not to battle." She explained quickly with an apologetic look. Grim didn't mind however, he was growing rather tired and wanted nothing more than to get back to Ballonlea and get some sleep before the gym battle.
"That's fine, it's about time we got going anyway, actually." He said his goodbyes to the three strange trainers and headed back for the bus stop feeling a little more confident. As odd of an encounter as it was, it proved he was ready to try his luck at the fairy gym. Hopefully, things would go just as well there. Grim boarded the bus and took his seat with Raika and Luckett, feeling his pent up nervousness melt away as he gazed at his pokemon.  "Good." Chibi smiled at Church's words even though he knew it was more of a statement than real praise. Church pocketed the pokeball containing his new Gastrodon and continued on. He still wasn't happy owning such an unsavory pokemon, but it couldn't be helped. He could always toss it after the gym if he wanted, after all. For now though, it was useful and he would train it, however unwillingly be might be.
Before long Church came up on two trainers arguing with each other on the street. The two idiots were blocking the way, and after a few seconds of waiting Church had had enough.
"Will you two shut up and move?" He snapped angerly, causing Chibi to shrink back at his tone.
"Who the hell are you?" The man turned to Church and put a hand on his belt, apparently thinking his pokemon would be able to beat Church. Right.
"My name is none of your business, wimp." Church goaded the man on, amusement dancing in his eyes as he realized this was a good opportunity for a battle to get Chibi stronger.
"That's it punk! Cherry, come on!" To Church's surprise, the girl that had been fighting the man a moment before also took up position. Two on one? How amusing. Church healed up his team and prepared himself for battle.

Church entered Circhester and sailed on his bike right up to the steps of the Pokemon Gym. Without a word he kicked his bike to the side of the walkway and pulled his jacket close around him to hide his bloodied shirt before entering. For once, he went into the changing rooms and pulled on his challenger shirt, though only the shirt, before tossing his ruined shirt into the trash. After a tentative prod at his stomach to make sure it wouldn't re-open, he headed out of the changing room and let himself he ushered into the first room.
Whatever he might have expected the challenge room to contain, a roaring sandstorm was not it. He squinted into the blasting sand and looked down at the stupid little Dowsing Rod he had been handed. He released Lilith and moved closer to one of her powerful legs for cover from the wind, distracted for a moment by a new wicked-looking scar on her hindquarters before he decided to ignore it for now. He knew what it was from, and he did not want to think about it.
Instead, Church slowly pushed foreward with Lilith in the lead and him giving directions as they made their way through the storm. A few times Lilith began to sink, but both times she immediately shifted her weight back and pulled her lead foot free of the sandy trap. Even so, it took them a good hour to make it to the doors that led out of the hellish place, and when Church returned Lilith and stepped though them, he was pissed off to say the least.
Without a word he headed to his side of the battle field and waited for the first of the Gym trainers to take their spot opposite him. It was finally time to vent a little.

MochaThe battle was definitive in the systematic sense, Gordie had no remaining Pokemon and the challenger was able to come out on top with their Dynamax opportunity, and he nodded at the Tyrantrum that had bested his Coalossal. His challenger though seemed a bit eager, or hasty maybe? He hadn't give his other Pokemon much opportunity when matched against his Coalossal.
"Hey, congrats on the win," he nodded as an official moved to give out his badge, and Gordie had pocketed his last Pokeball.
"Your Tyrantrum is one sturdy rock. Keep at it, and your other Pokemon will become just as powerful," he commented, knowing that the further someone went along, the less and less they could rely on just one Pokemon. And that was never fair either to put the entire weight of a battle on just one Pokemon, it should always be a team effort.
