Church headed off the train platform and made his way through the city towards the grand gates that led to the wild zone. Already he could tell the weather would not be in his favor, the roaring wind heard even over the din of city life. Great. This was about to be hell just like the last time he stepped foot out there. Once at the gates he set up his bike and with a sigh he hopped on it before pushing off and riding through the archway. Time to have a horrible-ass day.

Church burst through the gates and into the city absolutely covered in sand. His first stop was at the pokemon center where he healed up his Drilbur and headed to the back to get rid of all the grime and sand. He hopped into the shower and let the scalding water wash away all of the dirt with a sigh of contentment. As impatient as he was to build up a strong team for the next gym battle, he knew things like the weather just couldn't be rushed. He would have to wait and see what the next day would bring. Until then, he had something to take care of. Church got dressed in a fresh pair of clothes before collecting his Drilbur from the nurse and heading out to catch the train back to Hulbury. As much as he hated the bumpkin town it was the best place to reach the ocean where Slate's fate laid.

Church hopped off the train and looked about the city. So much had changed these last past weeks since he had been forced to start his life over. He headed straight for the gates with his bike and hopped on once again, his mind drifting as he did so. He tried to focus as he sped out through the grand gates but he was rather distracted. Did he feel bad for Slate? No. He was an asshole and prided himself on that fact. Whatever weak part of him might have cared about the pokemon he shoved deep down with a growl. He refused to care about the weak in this world. Sure he would help someone or some pokemon that had potential, but without potential there was no hope for them. Why waste time on something that couldn't make it in this world? As it was he didn't have enough power to help anyone but himself, and so he crushed down any such weak thoughts, instead focusing on the task at hand as he headed into the wild zone once again.

Church coasted through the gates and weaved in and out through the crowds of people. On his way here he had decided to return to the fair once again, but this time not for fun. Zeke had a lead on a rare pokemon in Kalos and he wanted to meet there, likely just so he could mix work with play. As annoyed as Church was, a part of him wanted to strangle the fool as he boarded the train to Hulbury for the hundredth time. Why Zeke couldn't just tell him the info over the phone he had no idea. It had better be good to make Church go across the damn region. He sat down on the train and sighed as it left the station, deciding to take a nap and rest up while he could.

Grim disembarked the train and headed straight for the gates that would take him to the wild-zone. Well, maybe not straight to them. He did take a moment to pick up some supplies from a store along the way, knowing full well that the area he was heading to was unpredictable. He wanted to be as prepared as he could be, even though from here it seemed to be a sunny warm day. Maybe a tad too hot, but that was easily fixed by removing his jacket.

Satisfied that he was ready, Grim moved onward through the gates and into Hammerlocke Hills. Time to train until they dropped.

As the train pulled into Hammerlocke Church rose to his feet and hopped off while it was still sliding to a stop, much to the horrified looks of those around him. He landed gracefully however and continued walking as if nothing had happened, impatient to get going and reach Stow-on-side. As much as he hated the desert town he knew it was the only way to reach his destination. A fact that he dreaded as he left the city behind him.

Reaching Hammerlocke, Grim paused to take a rest at a bench and think over his plan for the gym. Of his pokemon he decided Luckett, Shade, Duke, and Moc would be the most suited for the battle ahead. That left two openings in his team for him to find suitable all-rounders. He wished he could use Ronin for the battle ahead, but the Dartrix simply wasn't strong enough yet for this challenge. He would try to train in Stow-and-side for as long as he could but he expected no miracles, the gap was too large to fix just yet.

Grim stood and moved off to the pokemon center to switch out his team for those that would battle with him this time around. Then, he headed onward towards Stow-on-side.

Grim arrived in Hammerlocke feeling a little rushed yet glad they were making good time. Although he could easily walk to Wyndon from here, he decided to take a bit of a rest and take the train instead. Soon they would be in an area with powerful pokemon, and hopefully a few steel types to help them. Grim loved his team, but there were just some things such as type effectiveness that they couldn't beat through stubbornness alone. They needed a star pokemon to combat that Hetterene, and steel would be the best choice. With his mind set on his next task, Grim hopped onto the train with Raika and Luckett and found himself a seat, deciding to nap on the way to his next destination.

Sheer swooped low over the ground, her large wings angling as she made a swift landing near the gate leading to the wild zone. As much as Church hated the wild zone, he knew it was still the best place to catch pokemon to aid him in his next gym battle. The next Gym was going to be a problem. He hated Marnie and what she stood for, but at the same time he respected that she was powerful. He was going to need to become even stronger if he wanted to add her badge to his challenger's ring.

Problem was, dark types were troublesome. Especially if they had moves to counteract fairy types, which Church knew Marnie would do. Still, he wanted at least one fairy type for the battle ahead, and so it was to the wild zone he went. With a sigh, he returned Sheer to her pokeball before climbing onto his bike and heading through the gates into Hammerlocke hills.

By the time Church made it back to Hammerlocke he was drenched from the rain. He grumbled as he rode into the town, finally free of the pelting rain at last. Stopping his bike, he swiped his soaked bangs out of his eyes and took off his hoodie, wringing it out before draping it over his handle bars as he steered for the nearest pokemon center. He got a room and immediately took a hot shower to warm himself back up. This was why he hated the wild zone, the weather was so unpredictable there it made finding pokemon insanely difficult. At least this time he had procured an interesting one, hopefully. He still had yet to check what was inside the dropped pokeball, but he hoped it would be something at least useful.

Church stepped out of the shower and dd a towel around his waist as he moved about the room to find dry clothes. A beep from his phone caught his attention just as he was pulling on a pair of ripped jeans, and as he checked it he smiled. His informant located the pokemon he was looking for, however, his smile faded as he read the location. Unova. Was it really worth it to go all that way for one pokemon? He thought this over as he found a black shirt and pulled it on. He had gotten by fine up till now with brute force, but even he could admit the last battle had been very close. Too close. Perhaps it was time for a vacation.. Besides, there would be plenty of good pokemon there, and plenty of training opportunities to get his team up to snuff.

Having made his decision, Church threw on another hoodie and headed out the door. He made his way to the plaza before releasing Sheer and climbing onto her back.
"To Hulbury." At his words, Sheer lifted her wings and took off with a lurch into the sky, heading for the little port town.

Grim stepped off the train and made his way to the west end of hammerlocke where the road leading to Stow-on-side waited for him. Along the way he stopped off at the pokecenter and re-arranged his team for the battle ahead, knowing it was time to forge ahead now rather than continue to delay. With that in mind, he took out a Big Mushroom from his bag and kneeled next to Luckett, offering it to the leafeon.
"I heard these can help with your moves, think you could try it?" With no hesitation Luckett snatched up the mushroom and ate it at his partner's request, only mildly making a face at the pungent taste. Grim smiled as he stood back up, once again reminded of the trust his pokemon had in him, something that both warmed him and scared him at the same time.

Grim was distracted from his thoughts as a sound came from up ahead. A lone Shelmet faced them on the path, ready to test itself against them. With a smile, Grim obliged.

Grim watched as the Shelmet fled, proud of Tokumei for dealing with it so quickly. The Charizard was staring at him rather menacingly, unusually quiet for once. He watched her for a few moments before walking closer and putting a hand on her side despite the stirring of fear her gaze caused in him. Sometimes the look she gave him reminded him of his parent's monsters, and he had to remind himself this was still his broody Tokumei and not one of them.

"You're stronger than ever." He praised, hoping to get some kind of positive feedback from his pokemon, however all he got was a grunt in reply. Frowning, he patted her side and returned her to her pokeball before staring down at the red and while contraption in his hand. At this rate he feared the Charizard would stop obeying him completely, but he would cross that bridge when he came to it. It was useless worrying about it now.

For now, Grim continued on down the road that led to Stow-on-side, Luckett and Raika by his side.
