As a region built on it's fruitful and rich history, Galar is proud to maintain every bit of their historic story that they can. The oldest and biggest city in the region is no exception and is the main hub for all of Galar's stories and their proudest artifacts. Centuries old, the first castle in Galar's history was found where Hammerlocke City is today, and the remnants of the preserved caslte walls are what mark some of the boundaries of the city's gates. From the Galar Vault, to the famed Hammerlocke Stadium modeled after the castle that once held its place in the center of the region, there is not a single part of the city that doesn't have some part of Galar's history in the walls. Hammerlocke seamlessly and effortlessly brings together the rich history of the region and the promise of the future with the stadium in the center being the hub of the bountiful clean energy that the region produces. Shops and boutiques and many other ammenities can be found within the city's walls, making for a rich environment to be a part of.
{ Hammerlocke Stadium (Click)} Raihan is the official Hammerlocke Stadium's Gym Leader. He specializes in dragon type Pokemon and hands out the Dragon Badge to those who defeat him. Raihan is well known as the strongest Gym Leader in Galar. No other Gym Leader has been able to defeat him. Despite this he is in a losing streak against Leon 10 to 0. He has proven himself worth of Champion status having even defeated Champions "Masked Royal" and Alder. But his need to defeat Leon is greater to him then becoming the Champion of another region. He has quite the large following online, being known originally for his selfies he takes to remind himself of the pain of loss. But his selfies have started to move to other parts of his life styles. He now has very popular and active social media presence on his online accounts that he posts his selfies, workout routines, and some times just scenic photos, some of which even get more popular then Marnie's. If Defeated Raihan will be visibly upset and angered, but he will never take it out on the challenger or his Pokemon. He always takes a selfie with the trainer that defeats him, and usually their Pokemon, to always remember the battle and the pain the loss made him feel. Raihan's Stadium sits in the city's center. His Stadium isn't like any of the other's in the region. It's built into the Castle's center and if one didn't know what it was, they could just believe it was a normal part of the castle. The Challenger will have to enter the stadium over the authentic draw bridge and into the Lobby. It features everything all the other stadiums had, however the lay out is different having been built into the castle. In his gift shop you can purchase figurines of him, or his exclusive work out plans. The Challenger will be taken to the locker room and requested that they change into the uniform they were given in the first gym, however this isn't required. Afterwards they will be lead directly into the stadium that is almost always full with audience members to watch the battle, even off season. His stadium is large and open like the other Stadiums, with an open roof. However his Gym Trainers are fought in the Stadium's battle field, and must all be Double battles. Instead of relaxing and enjoying life as it came to her, she was always running to meet it halfway. Her own Blog was started before she was even training Pokemon! Monica was raised by a Pokemon Breeder mother and a Historian father that worked at Hammerlocke's famous Vault. Where most would expect an energetic young lady like that to struggle, Monica proved an excellent little helper to her father and was always willing to go the extra mile for the chance to read and hear more stories. Her journey in the Pokemon League was short and ill-fated, a competitive streak she couldn't control driving her beyond the normal expectations of a trainer and causing her issues in battle. The hot-headed Trainer-to-be was thoroughly crushed by Hammerlocke's own Raihan. Where her journey started it also ended. But all was not lost for the young woman who had failed to defeat Galar's strongest Gym Leader. She discovered a side of Pokemon training she had only ever read about before. Monica became a Pokemon Coordinator. Her father's historical accounts informing her sense of style and presentation, Monica found herself rising through the ranks of the Contest scene. She also found herself having much more fun. There was a game to win or lose but there was also an audience to please. It was through the presentation of a Pokemon Contest that Monica was able to curb her usually aggressively competitive nature. Any Contest that left the audience cheering was a victory, and she could take losing as long as she made her opponents work that much harder to wow the crowd! She loved the thrill of a battle with no clear need to win and that made her even better at it. Though she did not become the Contest Champion of Galar as she had originally set out, Monica has made her mark as the Cool Contest Leader and set up a Contest Hall inside the massive city of Hammerlocke. Her Contest and Blogging skills may or may not be held over Raihan whenever she gets an opportunity. It's nice to impress the guy who so easily wiped out her team in the Pokemon League. "Hello are you lot or?" The little girl smiled. "Oh no.. But could you take a Letter to my friend in Ballonea?" She handed Olivia the ancient letter. Olivia noticed how old it was, but did not want to say anything. he noticed that as she was walking away she could've swore the girl dissapered. Dismissing it, she walked away... he would come back after her trip to Ballonea and if the girl was not there then.. She would have to rethink everything she has told herself mot of her life. She then headed toward the salon, and got her hair styled in twintails instead of the long hair she has had for a while now. She also got her Ponyta groomed, and also stopped by the pokemart and reprinted her league card with her new appearance ecoratin it with holofoil. She then left hammerlocke heading toward stow o ide, so he could begin her treck to the Glimwood Tangle. Leaving the strange town of Spikemuth behind, Emiri flew with her Pokemon to the west to reach their next location, a place that was called Hammerlocke. It was situated at the top of a hill it looked like on the map, at the edges of the miles and miles of open land that separated the northern and central parts of the region, and already in the near distance Emiri could see it coming up over the landscape. It seemed that Hammerlocke was outlined in its boundaries by a giant all encircling wall, and towering above all else in the city was what looked to be a giant castle of sorts. Much like the Kalos region that had a rich historic background, it seemed that Galar had much of the same kinds of history and preservations that they took to maintain their region. Thus far, everywhere that Emiri had been in the region seemed very settled, rather old, and very characterized by the specific part of the region they were in, and she wondered what that meant for places like this and the history that they held.
Fortunately Hammerlocke was much larger and much more spacious than Spikemuth was, so Emiri and her Pokemon were able to find a place to land for the moment in having found the Pokemon Center from the air. Emiri went inside with her booklet and was able to gain her next stamp from Nurse Joy, one by one getting the rest of her stamps needed from the Galar Region. Elfana Aroway There was a specific word she was looking for to describe Hammerlocke's stadium. What was it? Gaudy? Hideous? Unnecessary? Eyesore. The word she was looking for was eyesore. Galar had taken an already glorified thing like Gym battles and had somehow made it even more ridiculous. The tragic "uniforms" the Gym challengers had to wear made it that much worse. She could never see herself wearing something so unfortunate. The Dynamax Pokemon that were so prevalent in the region had to make the battles more "amazing" for the people watching at home. She had no doubt that the battles were televised but she didn't care enough to confirm it. The Galar Gym challenge was a joke and she would not be convinced otherwise. The appearance of the Hammerlocke stadium had already confirmed it for her. Unlike the last Pokemon Center, Elfana made no attempt to chat with the nurse beyond requesting the stamp for her booklet. Kayuki and Walter handled all the talking for her. The two of them enjoyed socializing whenever there was an opportunity. Elfana busied herself with her phone until her booklet was returned to her. Their next stop, Stow-on-side, reminded her of a town that one might find in a desert. It fascinated her to no end how the landscape suddenly shifted from rocky and miserable to forest so quickly. Glimwood Tangle was an interesting place in itself. She might end up camping there if she could find a quiet enough spot. Kayuki ended up having to take the booklet when it was offered back to them as Elfana ended up too distracted researching the forest. She offered the nurse an apologetic smile before guiding her trainer towards the exit. Galar

Elfana Aroway Walk to Spikemuth and Circhester, backtrack to Hammerlock, head to Wyndon, then take the train to Hulbury. They could take a boat to Castelia from there. Everything after that would be easy. Elfana had no real plan for navigating Unova. She didn't need one. She had lived in the region for the majority of her life. Despite rarely leaving her lab, she was aware of where the majority of things were in Unova. Traveling through the region would be simple. She was actually looking forward to the trip. Hoenn and Sinnoh would be slightly more difficult but she wasn't too worried about them. After everything they had been through so far, they could handle three more regions. If she planned it correctly she could even end her journey in the city her next Gym was in. They could get right back to the original plan from there. She was almost looking forward to it. Elfana Aroway They had the option to take the train to Wyndon or walk. She ended up choosing to walk. There was going to be a long period of inactivity between Hulbury and Castelia where she could rest if she really wanted to. She was looking forward to going home- even if only for a little while. Elfana would avoid actually visiting her lab because she wasn't sure she would leave again if she did but she could meet up with Elise and Antarcticite somewhere else in the city. Or outside of the lab building. Whichever. She would be happy to see them either way. The entire trip through Unova was going to be fun. She was going to get to show Pantalaimon his future home. That in itself was going to be a delightful experience. As soon as Walter realized that Elfana had gotten distracted, he Teleported them along. Kira felt uncomfortable. She shifted, easily turning her bag to hide the badges on it. "I'm sure you've been working very hard. And earning a Gym Badge is no small feat. Christina could not pretend that she hadn't been brushed off, but part of her suspected it was for a good reason. After all, they were best friends. Kira would never just hurt her for no reason.
They fell into a comfortable silence as they watched the scenery go by from the window. The train pulled into Hammerlocke and Christina brought Kira to the Pokemon Center. Apparently she knew her way around the Cities of the Galar Region. Kira went in and said hello to the Nurse, who was more than happy to provide Kira with another stamp for her steadily-growing collection. Church gave a nod as Slate managed to actually win a battle this time, though the pokemon still remained on thin ice. He left the Arcanine out as they continued on to find yet another battle, slowly making their way towards the road that led to the outskirts of Hammerlocke. Part of him was hoping to find some good pokemon out here to capture and add to his team, but he knew the odds of finding a good pokemon in the city was pretty low. This was only proven as they stopped, looking ahead to see a creepy little Espurr staring at them with big round eyes.
"Destroy it." At his order Slate snarled and stepped up to take on the little... thing.

Slate struggled to stay standing but managed to defeat the Espurr in the end, but just barely. He panted and glanced over to Church who gave him a nod in return. Slate gave a tired smile and moved to stand next to Church, his tail slowly wagging back and forth at finally getting a sign of praise. Church led the two to the pokemon center to get Slate and Zyph healed up before they all headed back towards the road leading out of Hammerlocke. Church didn't fully know where he was going, all he knew was that he had heard some strong pokemon lay up ahead. That was all he needed to check it out.
