Automated Exp Program
This is a full guide on how to utilize the automated experience program that has been added to the forum. There are a couple of important highlights to make before all else.
- This program is completely optional. If you do not wish to utilize this program, you do not have to. The addition of this program does not change the current exp systems in any way, and does not provide any bonuses or incentives to use. This is a quality of life feature.
- This program is brand new and could still have some bugs and hiccups. We have done our best to test and troubleshoot to the best of our ability, but there could still be things that don't quite work. If you find anything amiss, please let us know so that we can address it immediately
- Please take your time in looking at this program and getting things set up, and ask questions as you have them. This guide is to assist in keeping everyone on the same page, but it cannot be stressed enough that not rushing through set up or otherwise is incredibly important
- There are still portions of upkeep that are still manual and are not included in this program. It is likely that we will look to expand and build upon this program, but as of this moment, you will still be responsible for the following on a manual level
- Removing wild Pokemon encounter posts from your post count
- Removing NPC encounter posts from your post count
- Adding Pokemon to your information and switching Pokemon in and out of your party
- Managing your item posting and switching out new information when you have completed an item's count
- All battle/reward exp and any levels gained through this exp will need to be manually added and saved
- Any activation or deactivation of hold items that affect exp per post
For all current members with already progressed characters who look to utilize the Automated Exp Program, you will not lose any of your current progress, and will just transfer these specific sets of information into the new program feature
If you need assistance with the program, Admin are capable of going into Character editing to look at coding. Please let us know if we need to help you take a look at something!

It is incredibly important that you pay attention to which character you have selected or OOC before making a post! A character should never be selected in order to make an OOC Post or event claim or otherwise, and this will still automatically grant the +1 exp for that post for that character. Please be very mindful of this as you are beginning to utilize the program!
There are two new components that have been added to the forum, one in your Member Profile and one at the top right hand corner of the forum page next to the logout button
In your Member Profile there is now a tab that is titled "Characters"
This tab will start out blank, as you have not yet saved any information here

Important Notes
- The black text is not to be changed or edited at any time. The black text should always remain the same, editing or deleting any of the black text will break your character information and it will not allow you to save the information
- The colored information all in GREEN (This is for text only), RED (This is for numbers only), and ORANGE (This is for true/false only) is what you will be editing at a given time
- Any information that has " " around it, the " " need to stay there around the information. So if in "CHARACTER NAME HERE" you are going to put Ash Ketchum, it will need to be "Ash Ketchum"
- You can hit close or X out and no changes will be made, only hitting save will create the character and save the information
- Any and all , (commas) that you see need to remain there, just like the " " quotation marks, do not delete any commas or quotation marks as you are changing/editing information

Important Notes
- Once the information is saved and you go back into "Edit Character" the information will not be organized in the same way that you initially saw it upon "Add Character"
- All of the same information is still there and will be the information you have put in, so please pay attention to which bit of information you may be editing
This is an example. On the left is the initial set up, on the right is after its been saved and you go back in, it is the same information just organized in a different way

To add new sections of information, below is highlighted what you would need to copy and paste after entering 1 line down. You must include the squiggly brackets on top and bottom for each time you are copying and pasting the information to create a new set
The left is for making a new section for a new Pokemon, the right is for making a new section for another item
After the closing squiggly bracket for a Pokemon or Item, you must place a comma immediately after it, before starting a new Pokemon or Item set of information
If you do not copy the code correctly, or something is amiss at any point in the coding, the program will tell you!
In most instances, it will be a missed comma or quotation mark or bracket, so if you click the wrench icon circled at the top, it will automatically fix the issue for you so that you can save the info
Between the two above images, there was a comma missing on line 21, and upon clicking on the Wrench Icon, the program automatically added the comma

Afterwards, the finish product looks like this in your mini profile!
Once you have created all of your characters and saved their information, the new section in the top right hand corner of the forum page will become a drop down menu
This is for character selection based on who you are going to be making your next post as, or if you are going to be posting something out of character
