Within the forests that make up western Unova, past main trails and the cities that can be found here, the entrance to Chargestone Cave can be found deep within the trees in a small valley of gray stone. Most will warn against traveling to Chargestone Cave because of the aggressive and territorial Pokemon that call it's caverns home. Notorious for being a fruitful source of energy for Pokemon like Tynamo, Klink, and even some Magneton, the Joltik and Galvantula that live here will defend their home with thousands of volts of electricity. The entrance is often shrouded in electricity induced webs from the spiders inside to guard what Chargestone Cave is really known for. The natural electromagnetic fields of the earth's surface are abnormally and intensely strong in comparison to other spots around the world, in which there are many stones, rocks, and boulders that naturally float along the surface because of their electrically charged energy, thus making it a perfect home for many electric and steel type Pokemon.
Location of Chargestone Cave:

Elfana Aroway If she had been there for any other reason then to confront a thieving Rhydon, Chargestone Cave might have been a fascinating place. She would have loved a chance to study the floating boulders and the electric webs. If the environment wasn't so perfect for a Pokemon trying to figure out how to wield the plate it had stolen, she would have thought it had been chosen for dramatic effect. She certainly thought it made for a good battleground. When they found their opponent, the battle would look cool if nothing else. Assuming they found their opponent. Elfana had been wandering through the cave for a while but she had yet to find any trace of the Rhydon. Maybe she had gotten the location wrong? Hiding such a large Pokemon couldn't have been easy, even in a cave. There had to be something that signaled that the Rhydon was present. Elfana stopped in front of a floating stone and examined it. She reached out and gave it a light tap, watching it drift away from her. The stone came to a stop near the entrance of yet another tunnel. Not knowing where else to go, she decided to proceed down the tunnel. She glanced down the tunnel before entering it just to be sure it was safe. It extended roughly ten feet ahead of her before opening into a small cavern. She assumed it was a dead end and would have turned around had she not noticed a faint yellow glow. "That's subtle." She muttered to herself. The source of the glow was a yellow stone plate that had been propped up against the rocks in what she could only guess was an attempt to absorb energy from them. There was no reason to leave such a valuable treasure just sitting out in the open like that otherwise. But it did make her job much easier. She could collect the plate and leave. Elfana went to grab the plate without examining the room beforehand. Had she thought to look around, she would have realized it wasn't the dead end she thought it was. More importantly- she would have seen the Rhydon charging at her sooner. Had it not been for Kiro jumping in to save her, she would have been crushed.
The Toxicroak took the worst of the attack. Rhydon's horn left a deep gash in his side but he manged to hop away before he could grab hold of him. Electricity danced across the Rhydon's hide. Whatever it had done with the plate appeared to have empowered it. Elfana did not want to know what would happen to her Pokemon if that thing managed to grab one of them. Her solution to the problem was far from safe but it would have to do. "Kiro, use Earthquake." The Toxicroak stared at her as if she had grown a second head before gesturing to the walls of the cave they were currently in. "It'll work itself out. Trust me." Kiro wanted to protest but he did trust Elfana. If his trainer said it would be okay, then it would be okay...He hoped it would anyway. Kiro braced himself just in case before slamming his palms against ground. The cavern protested loudly as the ground began to shake. Bits of the ceiling came down and the area beneath the Rhydon started to crumble. Its leg became caught in the rift forming beneath it but it hadn't been knocked out in one go like the Rhyhorn had. The Rhydon grabbed at the debris that had fallen around it and began throwing it at the Toxicroak. Several rocks made contact but Kiro didn't flinch. While the Rhydon was stuck, Elfana snatched up the plate and called for her Toxicroak to use Earthquake a second time. This time the Rhydon went through the floor to a level below them. She might have been concerned for it had the ceiling not looked like it was about to cave in. "Okay, little plate. Do your electrical magic nonsense." Elfana turned the plate over in her hand, looking for anything that would tell her how to get a reaction out of it. "Walter, get Haruka and-" She was cut off by a protest croak. The doctor sighed and tossed her bag in Walter's direction. "Get Haruka and the others out of here. Kiro and I will follow soon." The Rhydon had likely been knocked out by its fall. It could wake up and try to recover afterwards- assuming she didn't let a cave crumble down on top of it. The Alakazam didn't protest. He collected the Vulpix and her things and Teleported out. As soon as the others were safe, he would return for her.
Kiro joined his trainer in her attempts to find a way to get the plate to respond. All the while the cavern was becoming more unstable. Large chunks of the ceiling began to fall around them but the doctor didn't react. "Come on. Work, dammit!" The Toxicroak pulled her down so he could try to shield her from the debris. "Maybe it only works for Pokemon?" Without waiting for a response, she shoved the plate into Kiro's hands. The Toxicroak croaked loudly in response and tried to offer the plate back to her. If either of them could get it to work, it was her! In the end, neither of them would know who actually made the plate respond. There was a blinding flash before the creaking and protesting from the cavern finally went quiet. Elfana looked up at the ceiling above and grinned. "Told you it would work itself out." The rocks above them were now floating like so many others in Chargestone Cave. The area had mostly stabilized as well. She hoped it would remain that way until the Rhydon got to safety. Speaking of...Elfana sat on the ground after taking the plate from Kiro. "Do you think this counts as safe enough to come retrieve the plate?" Whether it actually did or not, she didn't care. They had done more than enough for Arceus as far as she was concerned. He could meet them where they were if he really wanted his plate back that badly. "Though you would think a being that so many people believe created everything could have done this shit himself." She still wasn't pleased that she had been forced on a glorified fetch quest by a legendary Pokemon that was too lazy to do it himself.

ElfyAs Elfana waited for the legendary of all legendaries to make his appearance he never seemed to show. It was silence around the woman who sat and waited with her companions. However, as they waited, more and more rocks began to lift into the air around them. More so than was usual for even the cave itself. The Zap Plate would slowly start to spark on its own, and slowly start to glow. As time passed it would glow brighter, spark more, and even start to hum and vibrate with energy. Having not only been in contact with Arceus, creation itself, but also having been grounded with its energy contained for so long, the plate itself seemed to have been harboring too much energy. If that wasn't enough, the Chargestone Cave might not have been the best place to wait for it was only making the plate's energy that much stronger. Maybe that was the idea the Rhydon had. It would have been able to withstand this Plate's energy and contain it, now with nothing to ground it, the plate's energy was slowly starting to bubble to its surface. Maybe bubble wasn't the right word, erupt was the correct term. Shortly after it started to hum and vibrate it's energy started to overload as electricity began to arch from the plate zapping the floating rocks and sending them flying across the cave. The plate was ready to erupt. It was only a matter of if Elfana was smart and quick enough to react correctly to survive and earn her prize, she didn't know she was fighting for. Things to know!-Of course, It wasn't going to be that easy with Arceus Ζεύς-Elfana's Pokemon, and Elfana, must withstand a total of 1300 damage. -You can split up the damage however you choose and use as many of her Pokemon as needed. Active party or not. But she must have at least one standing Pokemon for Arceus to return. -Good Luck.

Elfana Aroway "I'm about to destroy this thing." All things considered, Elfana was surprisingly calm. Any minute now Walter would Teleport in and they could leave the cave and the plate behind. Which would probably be horrible for any Pokemon that hadn't already fled the area...like the Rhydon. Stealing the plate had been a dumb decision on his part but that didn't mean he deserved whatever the plate erupting would do to him. The electricity might not be an issue for him but the damage to the cave itself would be. There had to be something she could do to minimize the damage. Around the time the plate started misbehaving, Walter had reappeared. He had assumed the battle would be over and Elfana and Kiro would need help getting out of the cave. He did not expect to see the plate preparing to go nuclear on them. Elfana didn't give him a chance to question it. She snatched her bag back from him and started searching for her Steelix's Pokeball. There was little they could do to absorb the energy from the plate but they could withstand it like the Rhydon had. By the time she managed to find the correct Pokeball, her Unown had swarmed the Zap Plate. They were trying to contain the energy from it. In her panic, she tried to grab the plate away from them. She yanked her hand back quickly but the damage had already been done. Elfana dropped her bag, her Pokeballs spilling out on to the floor, resulting in several Pokemon from her team being released into the chaos. She released her Steelix from his Pokeball. The steel snake began to panic the instant he saw what was going on. "Anty, I need you to coil around the plate. I know it's terrifying but you're the only one who can withstand it." She would never forgive herself if she ended up being wrong about that. The Steelix looked like a Deerling in the headlights of an oncoming car. They were seconds off from the plate erupting when he suddenly wrapped himself around it. Terrified as he was, he wasn't going to let his trainer and team get hurt if he could stop it. He closed his eyes and braced himself for the worst. Rather than backing off, Elfana hugged his lowered head and waited for whatever followed. She was not going to let him endure whatever happened on his own.

Arceus ΖεύςAs the Zap Plate began to go nuclear, electricity began to shock and electrocute those unfortunate to be in the area. Seemingly the cave itself was able to withstand the power of the zap plate just fine, for now. While Elfana's Steelix took the brunt of the power of the Plate, as well as Elfana herself as she held onto his head. The electricity arched off of the large metal snake and continued to shock all of the Pokémon in the area. While it was an uncomfortable experience for the Pokémon, to say the least, those in the area further spreading out its energy would make it easier for Antarcticite to withstand. However, the Zap Plates energy only began to grow more and more unstable as the hum began to buzz louder and louder concerningly so. The hum began to slowly amp up more and more until the Zap Plate shot out from under the Steelix and into the air, as it did the electricity immediately was drawn away from Elfana and her Pokémon. A flash of white moved through the air snatching the plate out of midair before Elfana or her Pokémon could try and grab it. The movement came to a stop further into the cave, as Arceus's form could now be seen as he stopped, harboring the plate in his possession. The plate then went nuclear, however instead of an explosion it emitted a blinding light. There was no thunder or explosion noise, nothing but sheer silence. The light dimmed revealing Arceus, having consumed the zap plate, and taking the blast and absorbed it so Elfana and her Pokémon wouldn't be further injured or worse. The Legendary looked over to the female and her Pokémon. He stepped closer to the injured Pokémon. "Thank you, Elfana Aroway, you have returned the Zap Plate to its rightful owner." He thanked in his booming deep voice. The legendary looked over her and her Pokémon, seeing the injuries they had taken because of the quest. "Let me help you." He commented, moving forward as his golden horns began to glow pink as he let loss a mist that began to completely heal any injuries, they sustained form the plate. As the many Pokémon would begin to heal, he resumed speaking again. "Or I should thank you, Pantalaimon, for carrying on the task despite some protest." The Legendary spoke, wanting to thank the small sprout that had done most of the work defeating the other thieves. "But I must again thank you all for your efforts. I know not what the Pokémon's plans were, but defeating them, you saved so many Innocent Pokémon and trainers the pain you just suffered and worse even." He told them, giving a nod like bow in thanks. His voice was still just as deep and serious as before, but much less demanding as before. It didn't take a psychic to have known that Elfana was angry with him, before at least. "In hopes of make it up to you for all your troubles, I would like to give you a reward, A blessing if you will." He stated, and as he did a bolt of lightning struck down in front of him, seemingly from the cave ceiling, and from the bolt stood a Pokémon for Elfana.Elfana has received:+96 Exp split amongst her active party as you choose. Elfana Aroway Now that she thought about it, being obliterated by an explosion of electrical energy might not have been so bad. Everything she had to deal with would have stopped being her problem in an instant. As soon as he could move again, her Steelix had moved so he could try to hide behind his trainer. Any of the pain she should have felt from the damage she had taken from the plate had faded. She might have thanked Arceus for healing her Pokemon had she not found herself staring down at her reward. Curse had been the word he was looking for. A bird was in no way a blessing. The only thing keeping her from unloading all of her frustration on the Legendary Pokemon that had forced them to endure so much grief was Pantalaimon's happy cry before he began to babble. At one point he smiled brightly and nodded towards their new birdy friend. "Thank you for our new friend! We'll take good care of him!" Elfana took a deep breath, held it for several seconds, then sighed. She was not going to let her temper get the better of her in front of Pantalaimon. "Thank you for healing my Pokemon." Both her tone and the smile the accompanied it were forced. She was trying to be civil. Anything more would be asking for too much. "If that's everything, we will be on our way. I'd like to get to Hoenn before tomorrow night." She didn't have much of anything she wanted to say or ask Arceus. Part of her still wanted to believe the whole situation was some sort of horrible nightmare. She began returning some of her Pokemon to their Pokeballs, leaving Pantalaimon to say goodbye properly. "She can be really grumpy sometimes but I'm sure she's really glad we could help you!" Probably not but Pantalaimon would never believe anything but the best of his trainer. "And she's a tiny bit scary of birds. So she's probably being weird about the birdy and needs time to get used to it!" The Turtwig adored the new bird. Elfana would have to get used to it for his sake. "I'm happy you got that plate thingy back. It looks really important." Important and strong. Pantalaimon didn't want to imagine what the thieves had been planning to do with something so scary. "Don't hesitate to ask if you ever need help again." Walter chimed in, earning himself a glare from Elfana in response. She would stop feeling like she was being punished eventually. Maybe. Either way- her Pokemon would be willing to help Arceus out in the future. The Alakazam would work on getting Elfana to that point too. Making sure something as dangerous as a plate didn't fall into the hands of something that might use it to harm others was too important too let her anger prevent them from assisting Arceus in the future.Hoenn Oldale Town Petalburgh City Rustboro City Mauville City Fallarbor Town Lavaridge Town Fortree City Lilycove City Slateport City Evergrande City Mossdeep City Sootopolis City Pacifidlog City Dewford Town Verdanturf Town LaRousse City Out of their Pokeballs: Kiro, Walter, Haruka Unown Status: Hiding.
