 In the very Northeastern corner of Lavender Town, the Soul House monument can be seen from quite a distance being a seven story tall tower specifically built from the town's respect of the lost and deceased Pokemon of the world. Here hundreds of Pokemon lay in rest after leaving the world, some sooner than they should have, where people from all over the world visit daily to pay their respects to their loved ones or even to the souls who no longer belong to someone. The people of Lavender Town take great care in maintaining the tower and making sure that it's residents are kept happy, but there are still those forlorned spirits who roam the rows and rows of graves who are in a state of unrest despite their death. These spirits are not like the ghost Pokemon that thrive in the tower due to it's natural spiritual energies, but instead spend their time trying to scare off people who might try and do harm to the resting places of the Pokemon there rather than playing a mere prank. It's best not to anger these spirits as the people of Lavender Town would tell anyone passing through, for no one really knows if they are forever bound to the tower or not.

She made a quick stop at the Pokemon Center to use the PC, and change into a new pair of jeans and black BADCO t-shirt. If it were true that the ghosts appeared on the higher floors, then it was best they got a head start. By the time the sun was completely set, it would be properly eerie; perfect Ghost-hunting lighting. It was already growing darker, and his attempt at theatrics made her scoff. "You aren't going to scare me that easily." She threw out a Pokeball, which let out Charmeleon. She was proud of her Starter Pokemon, because she had come so far with their training. The difference between her Charmeleon and the tiny Charmander she first met was amusing to her. "I figured we could use some light." Apollo followed Kira to the Pokecenter, and waited for her outside. As he waited, he spotted a flower stand across the street. Anywhere else, that might be strange, but so close to the Soul house, it was a smart Idea. Apollo walked across the street, and purchased a dozen flowers, all of vibrant and beautiful colors. In this town, it was best to show respect for the dead, he had heard stories of people being chased out of town for disrespecting the spirits. He made it back to Kira as they began to start walking again. She let out her charmeleon, as it lit up the area around them a bit more as the sun began to set. Apollo smiled. "Good thinking." he told her. Apollo began to separate the dozen of flowers he had and gave half to Kira, and one of his own to Teddy. "We can lay these on the graves of some of the Pokemon in the tower as we make our way up." he told her with a nod. "If there's anything I've learned from my experiences with ghosts, you want to stay on their good sides." he told Kira as he made his way up the steps and began into the Soul House. The first floor was one big large dimly lit room, with no windows. Just flickering candles along the walls. In the large room, it was filled with row after row of graves and tombstones. It was enough to make Apollo frown for a few seconds. After the doors shut behind him, they were in almost pure silence. Apollo began to move in, as Teddy moved closer to Apollo and Beautifly huddled closer against his shoulder. Apollo walked over to one of the graves, and looked at it. It was the grave of a beloved Quagsire, one that apparently grew to be very old. Apollo laid one of his flowers on the grave, a bright blue one before turning back to Kira. "We can start going up the floors if you're ready." he told her, letting her have the option in case she wanted to linger on the bottom floor. Wearing: Sea Prince

She took the flowers appreciatively. Kira read the grave that Apollo had respected by laying down a flower; a Quagsire. She had never heard of that Pokemon before. She didn't want to disrespect the dead by using her Pokedex and disturbing the silence. She looked around at some of the other graves, finding one that stood out. They were all the same size and material, but they all had different things written on them and some graves were left bare while others were covered with flowers. She approached a bare grave that looked like it hadn't been touched in years. It belonged to someone's Raichu. She couldn't help but think about how miserable she would be if her own Raichu passed away. She loved all of her Pokemon, and didn't want to lose any of their friendship. She lay a yellow flower down by the grave. Why had it been left alone? Did the Trainer pass away too, did they live too far away now, or did they just not care?
The first couple of floors passed uneventfully with their conversation to keep them busy and distracted. She wondered how Teddy was dealing with the spooky ambiance. Led by Charmeleon's tail flame, the party of two slowly made their way up the floors of the house. Suddenly, the hair on the back of Kira's neck stood up. She stopped, looking around. "Do you feel that?" She asked Apollo.
Charmeleon paused as well, looking back at her. "Char?" Charmeleon's eyes suddenly went wide, and attacked Kira with Ember (-30, 90/120)! If Apollo had looked at her after she tried to get his attention concerning the strange feeling, he would have seen what had happened. The face of a ghost appeared right over Kira's left shoulder and watched them all through ghostly eyes. Charmeleon had been trying to protect her. The ghost appeared behind Charmeleon, using Night Shade (-15, 135/150). Charmeleon looked around, but the invisible entity was nowhere to be seen. How could it fight something it couldn't see?! Suddenly a small burst of fire erupted in mid-air.
Little did Kira know that they had burned their enemy. "Keep attacking with Ember!" Charmeleon used this commotion as a guide, and shot another Ember attack at their invisible foe (-30, 50/120). The ghost wasn't going to take that. The full figure of a person appeared and held out their hands. A wave of dark energy shot at Charmeleon, another Night Shade attack (-15, 120/150). Now that she had something to focus on, Charmeleon didn't hesitate to launch another Ember at their attacker (-30, 10/120). Again, the ghost countered with Night Shade (-15, 105/150). If Charmeleon hadn't been so much stronger than the Charmander she'd first obtained, then these attacks would be pushing her limits.
Rather than risk Charmeleon losing any more health, Kira had an idea. "Wait a minute, can't ghost Pokemon take the form of people?" She threw a Pokeball, and it actually pulled the entity inside! It was a Pokemon after all. It shook over and over, but finally the Pokeball was still. "We did it!" She grinned, though she had no idea exactly what it was she had caught. "But I wonder what you are..."

With the ghostly encounter dealt with, Kayla lead the way further up into the eerie building. The spiritual women looked a little... spooky to her. She'd rather deal with ghosts than weird people. At least ghosts weren't as likely to hurt you.
The pair made it all the way to the top floor, when a -whoosh- sound filled the air. She narrowed her eyes, straining to see forward in the darkness. "Charmeleon, let's go this way." She led them deeper into the room, suddenly stopping. There on the ground at the far end of the room lay two envelopes. She picked them both up. "These... they have our names on them. How is that possible?" She turned to look at Apollo and handed him the one addressed to him.

Apollo continued to walk around the graves. It was something really chilling, and heart wrenching seeing the endless rows of Pokemon remains. It seemed Kira was feeling the same, given her quietness, as she moved around the markers, and began placing her own flowers on various graves. Teddy continued to mill about the area, not really understanding what the tower really was, or what death meant really, and Apollo was pretty thankful for that. Anthony how ever, appeared rather uneasy as he floated along side Teddy. It seemed that even his new Beautifly wanted to show her respects after getting onto the next floor, taking one of the flowers form Apollo and flying it over to the grave of a Silcoon. Apollo followed Kira's leading Charmeleon, with Teddy and Anthony along side him. The air suddenly went sharp and chilly, as a breeze whisked through the area, sending Teddy's fur into a tizzy as his fur stood on end, and Anthony looked less then happy, as he turned and watched the breeze move away, and what was creating it, but the ghost balloon's eyes traveled back to Kira. But Apollo shuttered and grinned at Kira. "Yeah I do, and that is definitely what a ghost feels like." he told her, as he continued to walk. He had turned his back on Kira, unable to initially see the ghost. "Apollo!" Anthony yelled out, just as Charmeleon began to attack the ghost that had a hold of Kira. Apollo turned around and immediately snatched up Teddy and raced back to try and help. But before he could step in, Charmeleon seemed to already be leading the battle. He watched as the Ghost began to whirl around and try and trick them, but soon enough, the ghostly figure fell still and Kira asked if a Pokemon could change it's appearance, and soon enough she had caught her own Ghost. Anthony floated closer to Kira as he began to answer. "Why yes, actually, The Ghosts of Pokemon can taken the form of what ever they will, even some Ghost types can, but it really drains their energy." he answered. Apollo moved forward and grinned. "Awesome! you caught your own psycho ghost!" he joked, holding Teddy close to himself in his arms.
They continued up through the tower, and Apollo had long since run out of flowers to leave, so he was full fledged ghost hunting. It was clear that not many people went this high in the towers, seeing how dusty it was. It seemed that this was where the older remains were, and only those few still alive with ties to the Pokemon still visited them. It was sad, but that made it perfect for ghosties! Apollo continued to move through the room, but before he could get to far he could hear Kira's puzzled voice. Was it another Ghost? He turned around quickly only to see her holding an envelope. He ed his head to the side as he looked at it. His name was on it? "What kind of ghost trickery is this?" he asked as he began to rip open the envelope. Apollo began to read along with the letter and just couldn't understand it, or why. Once he got to the end he read "do you accept?" out loud. Apollo chuckled for a second. "Hell no, I ain't stupid. That's some horror movie shit." he commented tossing the envelope over his shoulder, but the magic was done in already. Wearing: Sea Prince

'Getting the hell out of here' sounded like a perfect idea. She nodded at the pirate one final time, wondering if she was ever going to see him again. Kira waited for Apollo to be ready, and they walked into the portal together. When she blinked, they were back in the Soul House. "Whoa." She muttered. How trippy. Were they really back in the real world, or was this another trick? Or, had the whole thing just been a dream? The burn on her arm countered that possibility, but her brain was still frazzled. "Apollo, are you sure you're okay?" She turned to look at him as she leaned back against a grave-stone. She was worried for him, she had endured that dragon-burn and been tossed around quite a bit, that Thomas kid had been electrocuted, had something happened to the Reporter that he didn't want to admit?
Sensing familiar territory, one of her Pokemon erupted from it's Pokeball, hovering in the air and looking at the place where his body was buried. Haunter was glad to be free of that dream-world, but didn't know if he wanted to leave the Soul House. Kira, confused and wondering why he had made the sudden appearance, looked at him strangely. "It's okay, we're out." Even though she wasn't completely sure of that herself, she wanted to keep her Pokemon calm and happy. It had been so damn long, it seemed like another life, when she was concerned with earning new Badges and exploring this tower Ghost-Hunting. Would she ever be the same care-free little girl? Apollo walked through the portal with Kira. They were the last ones to go through. Thomas had slipped away silently, but he seemed to be that type. Thomas bothered Apollo with how he flipped back and forth, but he still helped save his life, so Apollo was grateful. Phineas dipped fairly quick to, much quicker then Apollo would have liked but he couldn't blame him. He walked with Kira through the portal, as fast as he dared with his aching body. In a flash, they were back in the soul house. Apollo blinked a few times... This all wasn't what he expected. He wasn't trained for all this, He went to school and took tests, dated, danced, dated, studied...dated.... He wasn't ready for all this and fighting for his life. He was use to reporting adventure, and fulled expected to find it as a trainer, but only to watch and report, not partake. Apollo had to take a deep breath and closed his eyes. Suddenly the spook factor of the Soul House wasn't as spooky. He heard Kira's voice next to him which brought him out of his head. Was he alright? He was beaten, and tired. Even more tired then after one of Lady Lola's rehearsals, and even an actual shows. Which a lot went into a show. Dancing, Singing, and at least 6 costume changes. But this... This was a lot. He might not have been burned, or electrocuted, but he was sliced up, beaten, and bruised. "No, um, I'm fine. That was just... A lot." Apollo commented. He took a deep breath as he folded his arms in front of him uncomfortably. He looekd down at himself, his shirt was ripped almost all the way down the front, and stained red from his cuts. His pants were starting to shred, and not in the good stylish way. He liked this outfit. Suddenly, in a burst of light, her gast-haunter appeared. The sudden shift and appearance made Apollo flinch and gasp as he jumped away. "Can you not!" Apollo huffed, holding his chest. Suddenly Kira outburst about going to a Pokecenter. She was right, he had so much to think about, he had forgotten that he needed to be helped, Kira, and their Pokemon needed to be treated. Apollo nodded and began walking towards one of the exits. They were on the top floor, right where they left off, so they had to climb the stairways down. He wasn't looking forward to it. "It's so different living it then it is to research and report, then it is to live it. I mean, we have stories about living glitches, and freak Halloween parties, but things like this... - Kira Anne Williams - As they walked, she listened to Apollo's explanation about how he was feeling. She didn't know much about what it was like to report on these strange goings-on, and therefore had nothing to compare this unusual experience to. All she knew was; she wanted to sleep and forget all about it. "Glitches and Halloween Parties?" She asked, clearly understanding none of what he was talking about. What was wrong with a Halloween Party? Spoopy adults in costumes, bobbing for apples, and if someone didn't hide the candy corn from her she was liable to eat it all! "Well, now we both know what it's like." She muttered half-heartedly. She seemed a bit... distant. Something about her demeanor would likely have registered with Apollo, but she pushed on ahead as they reached the bottom floor and ran out into the night.

Apollo continued down the stairway with Kira as she questioned about what he had said about his reports. He took a deep breath and gave a painful shrug. "Apparently, a few years back Team Rocket ended up making a living glitch the devoured everything it touched. We have only so many reports on it after the explosions and destruction. Apparently it's been destroyed in Mt. Mortar." Apollo began to explain what he meant. Carrie was all over that story, ever since it rose up years ago in Kanto. It's most recent battle was in Johto. "The Ball apparently was a trap, like Darkrai's invite. According to a few trainers, and even reports from a Nurse Joy, and Brawly telling that it was a night of nightmares where the host used his Pokemon to steal theirs, and brainwash them into attacking for him. Apparently Lorelei and Blue were there to, but they hadn't come forward yet." Apollo told her. He wasn't sure how much of their stories were true, but they all spun the same stories, the few that came forward, but according to them, there were at least 30 attendants to the party, not including the gym leaders and elite four members. That all sounded like a cake walk compared to what he just went through... He knew he had to check the footage and see what all he could send to Carrie Sunita, and try and get this news out there. "But don't worry, none of those reports ever got confirmed. Just that there was destruction in Mt. Mortar, and there wasn't even an island where they said the mansion was placed. Apollo wasn't exactly sure what to believe out of those stories. Why would Nurse Joy or Brawly lie about that? Or the trainers? It made to sense. As well as what ever a living glitch was, he had no idea. But he could only report what the stories were told. And what Carrie would allow. However, shortly after explaining everything, Kira seemed to take off and bolt down the stairways. Leaving him alone. He didn't mind it, the Soul House wasn't creepy to him anymore. It was a long time since he was actually alone, always having the band mates and Teddy around with him. And he wanted to be sure that Teddy was alright. But he couldn't run, he was too exhausted. It felt like his body was being held together by scotch tape. So he took it steady and slowly made his way down, getting quite a few startled looks from visitors at his disheveled and bloody appearance. Probably not the best look to be wearing in a cemetery, but it definitely wasn't his decision. It took him a bit longer, but he made it down the stairways and out through the lobby.
