[/font][/b]" She told him in a surgery sweet tone that was dripping with sarcasm. By this Point, Ridley was already over it. The battle itself made her feel unchallenged after what she just faced, however the light show was effectively holding her attention.The Gym Trainer took the hint and returned his Pokemon, and quickly went off to fetch Clemont. While he was gone, Ridley took the time to use a few Potions on her Pokemon while in their balls, to give them a pick me up for the real battle. Just in case. Soon after the short Gym Leader came into view. "That was quite a show I saw! So many colors and effects, I know this will be an interesting battle." Clemont called out. "Mhmm, that's the idea." Ridley replied trying to sound interested. She ran her fingers through her hair and shifted he weight, eager to get the battle over with. Clemont let out his Pokemon, and Ridley knew the little flying squirrel, so she let out Eris to take care of it. The Emolga whisked into the air. "Let's get this over with. Eris knock it out of the air." Ridley called out as the surrounding lights began to glisten pinks, silvers, and golds. The Gym Leader Smirked but didn't say anything. Eris charged the Emolga, and jumped into the air, but the flying type whirled in the air as well, ramming head first into her chest. Knocking the Mega Mawile backwards, and flat on her back. Emolga then quickly zoomed back and was returned, and replaced by a Heliolisk all in one swift motion it seemed. "Well that was cheap" Ridley snapped, before looking to Mawile as she got back up with a huff. "Use Fire Blast." Ridley called out. Mawile swung her head around, and her jaws opened up and unleashed a torrent of fire at the Heliolisk. The Lizard let loose a large bolt of electricity as it tried to counter the fire. The stage lit up in flares of red and yellow as the two Pokemon's attack rivaled each other. It appeared that both pokemon were struggling with taking the electricity and flames, but it seems that Eris was just a bit stronger as the Heliolisk collapsed in the heat.

Clemont returned his Heliolisk and let out a Luxray, while Ridley returned Eris. She knew the Mawile was tough, but he was sure the Pokemon was going to give out soon. She decided to try out Themyscira, She knew she was a water type, but Ridley wanted to see if she could hold out. The blonde opened the Pokeball and let out her Pokemon, but it appeared to be Eris again. This caused Ridley to hesitate, she never got use to her Sirene's illusions. "Two Mega Mawiles?" Clemon questioned suspiciously. "Maybe" Ridley replied coyly while shrugging one shoulder. Clemont didn't seem to believe her, but attacked on it anyways. He called for an iron tail, which Ridley tried to get Themyscira to move. The illusion Mawile turned to move, but the Luxray was to fast. It slammed it's tail into her. The Illusion of the Mawile was shattered as Sirene went tumbling to the side. She quickly got onto her feet to see the charging lion again. She didn't wait for Ridley, and opened her mouth, exposing her sharp fangs and let out a loud shrill screech. This caused the lights in the stage to start to strobe while Ridley and Clemont covered their ears. Ridley winced, but then looked angrily to the Sirene. Once she did though, the wails shifted into a beautiful belting note. She uncovered her ears with a confused expression and listened to the voice. She even had to admit it was a beautiful tune. Ridley began to waver back and forth as she listened to the song, almost forgetting she was in a battle, until the voice stopped. She took in a deep breath to clear her mind as she looked to see what Themyscira did. "Creepy but effective, Keep at it!" Ridley called out as the Sirene began to blast the sleeping Luxray with ice. Her somber spell didn't seem to last very long as the Luxray was startled back awake. He immediately discharged a thunder bolt once again, knocking Themyscira off of her feet. Ridley could see the Sirene was struggling to stand up now, and decided to return her. Ridley let Delphine back out, as she looked across at the feline, that sparked angrily. "Alright, Themyscira weakened him, lets try and finish it with Solar Beam." Ridley called out. The stage was once again shimmering reds and golds, as she held up her staff. Clemont called out to attack while she charged, but the blast of energy erupted from her staff, as the stage blared out white. Once the blinding light ceased, she was sure that the Luxray was done for, as did Delphine. But suddenly from within the blinding light Luxray barreled into view and bit down on Delphine. The Delphox let out a shrill scream as she saw it, and began to shout as she tried to pull away. Delphine used Psychic to pry off the Electric type, but as she did Luxray let out a loud roar. It was so loud, it caused Ridley to flinch and drop her purse, as Pokeballs rolled out, Delphine got returned as Morticia was let out. Morticia might have thought she was lucky enough to receive another shocking battle, but she was out of luck as the Luxray charged and iron tailed her. She was sent off of her feet and onto her back with a thump. "Get up and Petal Blizzard him" Ridley quickly called out as the flower raised herself onto her feet and with a wave of her arm, she unleashed the attack. This sent the Luxray whirling back, and finally was defeated.

Ridley returned the dark flower, and let out Delphine once again as a Magneton was released. "Melt it" Ridley commanded, and Delphine was happy to oblige. Delphine let out a blast of Fire, as like before the electric type countered with a blast of electricity. Like before, Delphine's fire won out, and the steel type succumbed to the fire. "That delphox has a lot of fire in her!" Clemont exclaimed, as Delphine's fire grew. "Heck yeah I do! Bring it!" Delphine challenged, causing Clemont to chuckle and agree. Clemont let out his Emolga again, and Delphine didn't wait to get hit like Eris did. She unleashed more fire, just for the Gym Leader. The Emolga was quick as it whirled through the air, and began attacking Delphine with tackles some charged with Electricity and some not. However, just like the rest, the Emolga went down in flames.

[/b]"[/font] Clemont exclaimed. Ridley smiled at his compliment. He was being genuine so she couldn't really find it in herself to be rude. He was an apparent genius, but he still was a kid. "Thank you. The lights were pretty cool." She replied with a shrug as he began to pull out his badge. "It was good that your Jynx knew those trivia answers too. You really earned these." He complimented, which Jessica returned with a smile. "Yeah... She's gotta earn her keep some how." Ridley shrugged, accepting the badge, but Jessica's smile faded into an annoyed look. "But... She's pretty good at what she does." Ridley tried to correct and easy over. "Thank you." She said, looking much less annoyed. Ridley turned back around and made her way back out of the battle field and down the elevator. She made her way back to the Pokecenter and handed over her Pokemon to get healed up. She was confident now that she could take on Valerie. Besides how difficult could she be to beat? Ridley got her Pokemon back, and requested a room. The Pokecenter was a bit smaller then usual, being confided to the city blocks, but they luckily had a bed for her, where she decided to stay for the night.

"Don' be gettin any ideas Ridley." The ghost warned. "But, if she's an Archduchess... That means she's a real person. Not a made up person like Raphiel, or Darkrai's invitation. Adelaide is almost as old as you, she couldn't be holding a trap like before." She told her. If it was a formal event, Ridley was excited to go. She hasn't been to anything glamorous in so long. Amma looked at her with almost disbelief, but she did have a point. If she was a real royal person, it couldn't have been a trap. "If you want to go, then fine. But don' come cryin' to me once you get yer self in trouble." She warned again. That was all she needed. If Amma wasn't bounding her to the room, then it was safe to go. She tapped Accept, only for it to switch to "Ready." She stopped and looked upwards."We have to go shopping!" Ridley commented happily.

What better place to be in then the city to go shopping. Ridley collected her Pokemon, and began out into the city to go shopping. It was easy for her to navigate Lumiose. She was a city girl after all. She found the shopping district easily, and began to roaming from dress store to dress store. She needed a formal dress, something she could wear to a royal event... But she couldn't wear just a regular poofy dress. It had to be something very her. So she passed over all the ugly and frumpy dresses she ran through. She couldn't show up in something ugly. She wanted to use her body and appearance to good use. She wanted to be able to show off her assets but also be able to move so she can dance, or from her experience run if needed. Her heels should be easy to pick from once she found a dress. She tried on dresses, but they didn't seem right, until she found a sleek looking designer shop. After walking in, it seemed she found the perfect store. After trying on two dresses, she had found the perfect one. She walked it up to the store front, and pulled out a Credit Card. "Those can be tracked, Ridley." Amma commented quietly behind her. "They can, but I'll be else where, in the presence of royalty. If my family tries anything, they'll get arrested. Problem solved." Ridley commented, with a painfully sweet smile. She paid for the dress, already owning the perfect shoes. She made her way back to the center to get dressed. She did her hair and make up, and came out looking at Amma who looked upset. "That's too much skin showin Ridley." Amma hissed. "Which that tells me, It's the perfect amount." She spoke and pulled out her pokedex and clicked ready. With that, an abra appeared near by. They didn't get much time to react as they were gone within seconds.

Flying on Salamence, Kira reached North Lumiose City with plenty of time left in the day. She looked up to the sky thinking about what else she could do today. She could pop into the Pokemon Center and rush off like she had been in every other place, but she happened to know that North Lumiose City had a Gym whose badge she still needed. She did stop by the Pokemon Center briefly. She did still need the stamp from this City, but she also wanted to get her team checked out one last time before facing whoever lead this Gym.

She went into the Lumiose city Gym next. She went right up to the trainers and swept through them as easily as though they hadn't been there. Flygon took out three of the four Pokemon standing between her and someone named Clemont, who she took to be the Gym Leader. Dragonite handled the fourth with similar ease. Kira even felt a little guilty, having taken to heart some of the advice given to her fro previous Gym Leaders. Was this another one of those Gyms that she was too strong for? She had hoped that as the fifth Gym Leader of this Region, he would put up a challenge to her team.

Clemont emerged to see Kira healing her team, appearing to be a bright and cheerful kid that was full of energy and excitement. Clemont's emolga went face-to-face with Kira's Dragonite. The size difference was disturbing. Clemont was clearly hoping to use speed to his advantage, but Kira's Dragonite was fast herself. Dragonite only got hit once and ended up freezing Emolga over with a devastating Blizzard attack. Clemont was forced to return his Pokemon after barely a minute of battle.

A Luxray used Iron Tail the moment it entered battle and Kira's flygon appeared. Countering with n Earthquake attack, Flygon grabbed Luxray and slammed it into the shaking earth. Next was a Magneton. Kira kept Flygon in for this, deciding it was a perfect chance to showcase a new move. "Blue Flare." she called, very likely surprising Clemont by calling for a Legendary Pokemon's attack. The bluebell flames were hot enough to melt steel, and Magneton began to visibly panic. It tried to create distance by using tri-Attack, and now both Pokmeon were burned. Even so, nothing could stop what was coming next. A second Blue Flare attack sent Magneton crashing out of the air at it's Trainer's feet.

Not until the final Pokemon did Clemont show any signs of a real fight. Kira returned her Flygon and sent out the Noivern now called Echo. Helioptile managed to paralyze her dragon in a single hit, and not even the Focus Blast could turn the tides in Echo's favor. Echo fell, burie beneath a set of Rock Slide attacks. Kira aimed the Pokeball at Echo's wing, the only part not buried beneath the stones. "Alright, you did good. Now it's up to... Flygon!" She said, returning the already injured Pokemon to the battlefield. Flygon looked surprised to be back on the field.

"You need to wrap this up with Earthquake!" But the Earthquake attack wasn't enough. the enemy held on. It attacked with the hopes of ending a second Pokemon as quickly as possible. however, it was a second Earthquake which brought out a victor - Flygon was standing tall.. well, not tall. Clearly she was hurting after that beating, but she was stubborn and refused to stay down. She flew and landed beside Kira, nuzzling her arm. "Yeah, you were amazing. Here you go." She held out the Pokeball, and Flygon touched her nose to it before vanishing into the device.

Leader Clemont

It seemed just as quick as the challenger had come into his gym, the battle was over and done with. Clemont was always eager for a new challenger, someone new to test his newest strategies against and someone that he could pass on a bit of knowledge to for their travels and their work towards becoming a great trainer, but the girl that came through seemed to be in such a rush. It wasn't very sporting of her, but a victory was a victory, it wasn't really something to be contested as he returned his Heliolisk to it's Pokeball. The Flygon was returned and the battlefiield empty as Clemont moved to award the badge for his shining gym.
"This doesn't seem like it's your time going through a set of gym battles," Clemont chuckled as he adjusted his glasses on the bridge of his nose, he could tell that her Pokemon were strong and seasoned, and she already had a good inclination on what kind of type advantages she needed to be mindful of.
"I didn't even catch your name you came in so quick," he commented, feeling bad for not even being able to commend her by name as he handed the girl her badge.
"There's no need to rush something as exhilarating and educational as a gym battle! If you ever come by and want to look for a rematch, let's really get down to the fun stuff and have a good time of it," the leader smiled then though, always intrigued at the prospect of seeing what his challengers might be capable of in a different setting and the things that he might be able to teach.
"Here's the Voltage Badge for your successful challenge, and we'll hope to see you around another time," he offered cheerfully as he held out the badge in one of the mechanical arms that hung from the backpack on his back, and he smiled at the prospect of being able to challenge the girl again one day.

There were only a handful of locations left for the Kalos region, and then after Galar it was going to be the long flight east back towards the Hoenn Region to go through the last four regions that she had out in front of her. She was incredibly familiar with Hoenn, Johto, Kanto, and Sinnoh enough as it was, Emiri felt pretty confident in her abilities to get through those regions with exceptional ease. So far it seemed they were making good progress over all, and Emiri was just happy to be making this journey with all of her Pokemon. Flying together and spending the nights resting with everyone out from their Pokeballs, it was just what she needed to keep getting back to her roots and trying to forget herself in the things that she’d faced over the last couple of years.
Moving over the central portion of the region, and thankfully leaving the small canyons and sweeping desert behind them, Emiri could see Lumiose City in the near distance. The sprawling Metropolis was certainly daunting the first time around, having traveled to the region for the first time, but now Emiri knew exactly where the Pokemon center was. Sweeping beneath the city skyline and making sure that everyone stayed together above the skyscrs, Emiri and Charizard made their way to the Pokemon Center. Landing on the ground and entering into the facility, Emiri gained her next stamp from Nurse Joy with a smile. She was happy to get the large city done and over with and felt her chest loosen up at leaving it behind with Charizard as they rose back into the air.

Elfana Aroway

Elfana was done with travel by the time they reached North Lumiose City. She wanted to go home and never leave her lab again. Her plan changed once more as she found herself searching for a place to stay until she felt like traveling. The city was massive. There was bound to be a hotel somewhere. Half an hour of searching later she found herself curled up on an uncomfortable bed with a Vulpix resting on the pillow above her head. Elfana refused to pull down the blanket. Sleeping on top of it was likely more sanitary. She slept for the better portion of the day, exhaustion getting the better of her. That was fine. Traveling late was more comfortable for her anyway. She took a shower, making sure her feet were spotless after traveling barefoot for so long. Despite how meticulous she was in getting clean, she ended up putting on the exact same outfit. She still had to get through the rest of the region and really didn't care enough to find something else to wear. The skirt and top were still clean anyway. She checked out of the hotel and continued on to Laverre City.

Elfana was looking forward to the boat ride to Malie City. No walking, no Teleporting, just a nice, relaxing trip to the next city...followed by a ton of walking again. She would take the small victory. Elfana was surprised by how short the wait was for the next boat out of the city. She assumed the trips were more frequent right now due to the Around the World event. The boat was nice enough. She had paid for a room on the boat and had gotten lucky enough to get one with a window. The majority of her trip could be spent in the comfort of her room and she would still get to admire the ocean. She had just finished settling in when the boat began to move. Elfana pulled a chair over to the window and sat down next to it. Her Turtwig was being held up so he could admire the view with her. Before long they could see nothing but ocean.

Script arrived in the city of Lumiose and hopped off of the boat with his pokemon in tow. It was nice to be back in Kalos, even though the boat had taken him to a city he had not seen before. Stars had told him it was better this way though, they were closer to the city that held the contest Script was most interested in. They merely had to cross the badlands to reach it. Not that Script had any clue what the badlands even were. The group made their way deeper into the city and followed Script as he skipped from one place to the next, looking at every new and exciting thing that they passed along their way. Jewelry, food, clothing, drinks, accessories, it seemed like you could find everything in this city! More than once Stars and Soda had to lead Script away from a stall and remind him they had so little money as it was. They couldn't afford to waste it on such things. Even so, if couldn't hurt to look right?

Script wandered about until finally arriving at a cute little café that caught his attention with their adorable pokemon-inspired lattes. Before his pokemon could stop him he headed in and ordered them all drinks before carrying them out to the patio for them all to enjoy. As much as Soda and Stars were concerned with how he spent the last of their money, they did have to admit the drinks tasted lovely. Script and his pokemon relaxed in the sun and merely enjoyed one another's company as they drank. They spent most of the afternoon idly relaxing on the patio until finally Script stood up and began clearing away their cups. It was time to continue on their adventure before it got too dark to go any further.

Frofro, Soda, and Romi joined him on the bed, while Stars and the Wooloo curled up beside it on the floor. Within only a few moments all were asleep.

Sometime early morning when the sky was still dark, Script woke up and headed to the showers. He finally peeled off his dirty clothes and stepped into the shower to let the warm water wash over him. After their long day yesterday the heat felt good on his sore muscles, however it oddly made him homesick. He was depressed as he stepped out to find no fresh clothes waiting for him. He had gotten too used to the aquacorde nurse's kindness and now felt saddened by the lack of it in his life. It wasn't that he expected this nurse to be as kind, he was fine with his dirty clothes, he simply missed her. Feeling a little down Script wandered back to the room to rouse his pokemon. It was time to go. The nurse was already awake at the front desk as Script made his way into the lobby to ask for directions on how to get to the badlands, as smile on her face as she pulled out a map and showed it to him. With a direction finally in mind, Script headed off on the next part of his adventure.

Script entered the city exhausted and looking like a total mess. His hair was in disarray and his clothing caked in dirt and sweat from the horrible journey through the badlands. Immediately he headed to the pokecenter and upon seeing the disheveled boy walk in the nurse immediately herded him to the back shower area to get clean. He stood in the scalding water and sighed with a smile, feeling his energy slowly return as his muscles relaxed in the heat. He stood under the water lost in his own mind until it began to run cold and he was forced to shut it off. As he stepped out he froze at the sight of the fresh clothes that the nurse had left for him, immediately thinking back to the nurse that had helped him before. The sight brought unexpected tears to his eyes as he realized just how much he missed her. He wasn't sure why, perhaps it was simply because she had shown him kindness, but he would always remember her and hoped to see her again soon. He wiped the tears away and pulled on the clean clothes with a smile, feeling refreshed and ready for the journey ahead again.

Script wandered to the back room and looked around at the beds. He didn't feel tired, however as he laid down to rest for a moment the sudden comfort made his body seem unusually heavy. His repressed exhaustion swept over him like a tidal wave and within a few seconds his eyes fluttered closed. Within a minute he was fast asleep. Sunflower gracefully slid onto the bed and curled around the boy protectively as he slept, keeping watch more out of habit than any real reason. She knew this place was safe, but it was merely in her nature to be alert to danger. Lark on the other hand hopped up and cuddled in with the other two, dozing off within moments with a happy little smile.

Script woke up as evening began to settle on the bright city. For a moment he simply laid there and enjoyed the closeness of his pokemon, but as he remembered the pokeball he had found in the badlands he pushed himself carefully to his knees and crawled out of Sunflower's protective binds. The Milotic made a soft sound in protest but allowed him to escape none the less, her thick coils shifting to let him out all the while trying not to wake Lark. Script hopped off the bed and dug in his pockets for the strange pokeball, withdrawing it after a moment and giving it another wipe-down before taking a breath and releasing the pokemon that resided inside. With a cry that immediately shocked Lark awake, a Swablu appeared from the pokeball and glared at them for a moment before it seemed to realize Script wasn't who it thought he was. The bird pokemon looked around confused for a moment before ing it's head to the side with a saddening look. At the sight Script immediately dropped to his knees and hugged the Swablu, who fought for only a second before relaxing into the hug.

"It's okay, you're alright now." Script cooed to the confused pokemon as he leaned away. The Swablu was quiet for a long moment as it seemed to come to terms with the fact that it had lost it's original trainer. It looked at the old pokeball in Script's hands and knew at once many years had passed since it had last been out. By now it's trainer was probably an adult, and she had probably forgotten all about it. With a pitiful chirp the Swablu hopped forward into Script's lap and leaned into him, cooing softly as if trying to soothe itself. Script hugged the bird pokemon tightly and pulled it into his arms as he got to his feet. "It's okay, you can be part of our family if you want to." The boy spoke softly as he stroked the pokemon's soft feathers. With a tiny sad nod the Swablu relaxed into his arms, and after a glance at Sunflower and Lark, Script gave a nod and collected his things before heading out of the pokemon center. With his new teammate nestled in his arms he headed off for Dendemille town.

Cyren Braithwaite

The walk to North Lumiose City was mercifully quiet- mostly because Cyren couldn't keep his thoughts straight long enough to think of anything worth saying. Not falling over his own feet was taking the majority of his focus by that point. This only became harder when Yami woke up. The Kabutops made a low hissing sound but did not try to climb down from Cyren's back. At least his blades weren't swinging around as much. Though an awake Yami almost seemed more concerning than a stray blade. Cyren stopped when he found what appeared to be a map of the city posted on one of the walls. Navigating Lumiose City was a pain so he was grateful for the map. He would take the win, small as it was. Attempting to commit their path to memory was difficult. He ended up with the vaguest of ideas as to where they were supposed to go but he was sure that he would still manage to get them lost. "Have I mentioned how amazing my little sister is?" He probably hadn't. He should more often. Llorona was putting up with way more than she needed to from him. He was lucky. Like most of his thoughts, this one came and went. He had already forgotten what he had been trying to say when Kal's tongue planted itself a rather awkwardly placed tree. "Don't think that's got berries." He tried to correct the Kecleon but she was suddenly yanked from his shoulder and pulled towards the tree. Cyren could not have looked more confused if he tried. "Lolo, do trees move?" Their branches swayed in the wind but it certainly didn't feel windy enough for a branch to suddenly yank a Kecleon. He stared at the tree in awe until Venus rushed it.

Much like her trainer but unlike him it was mostly out of embarrassment. She kept her gaze fixed on the ground, not to watch her feet but to hide the cute pink blush that had appeared on her cheeks. Falling had been awkward enough without Deadeye's laughter. She didn't hold it against him though. She might have laughed at herself too had her condition been any fault of her own. Her confusion was a punishment brought on by that star shaped monstrosity. The Machop would have continued to ignore her surroundings had Hal not suddenly picked a fight with a Sudowoodo. "This isn't a tree." She growled before lunging to grab Hal. The idiotic lizard was going to get itself hurt if it didn't stop licking everything! She managed to pull Hal's tongue back before she was grabbed by the Sudowoodo instead. Venus trashed in its grip. "Let go of me!" She snapped at the pretend tree. When it didn't release her, she threw her head back and headbutt it. Once it's grip had loosened she turned on the Sudowoodo and grabbed it. "Keep your damn hands to yourself!" She was in no mood for the other Pokemon's nonsense. The Machop lifted the Sudowoodo above her head then threw it. She didn't care to see how far it went. She just kept walking.

The airborne Sudowoodo only served to confuse poor Cyren even further. "Do trees fly?" He still hadn't realized that it was a Pokemon.

Atlas was proud of Llorona. Not for the first time ever, but certainly for the first time in recent memory. She was clearly losing her patience and yet held herself in check for Cyren's sake. This was a new development as far as the Hitmonchan was concerned, and not at all a bad one. He found himself walking amongst the group with the Jirachi still cradled in his arms while he tried to remember just how long ago now it had been when Cyren left the family and his little sister. He frowned. His respect for Cyren was not at all diminished but the fighting Pokemon could not help but wonder if Llorona would be quite the same spoiled brat she was now if he had stayed behind to nurture her. 'That was never his job.' Atlas reminded himself, forcing a smile when he saw Llorona cast a look his way. There was still hope for the little lady yet.

Quite to the contrary of her normal, obnoxious behavior - Llorona was content to remain quiet as they crossed into North Lumiose city. When the alternative was the listen to the drunken ramblings of her brother, who was seriously starting to worry her - the silence was really for the best.One they arrived, however, and Yami woke from his incredibly long nap, the young woman couldn't help but talk, even if it was just a little. "Sooo... we are heading towards the trains? Or the docks?" She asked quizically, her brother clearly studying the map for directions. The far-off look of a man lost was written plain as day on his face. He knew what he wanted to do but had absolutely no idea how to accomplish it in his current state. With a sigh, she pulled out her phone and took a photo of the map, holding it out for him to see. 'You don't need to memorize anything Cy, just tell me where you want to go and I'll get us there.' That Is what she was going to say. She'd had the mildly annoyed tone set up for use with the statement and everything. But it died on her tongue when Cyren actually praised her. And it wasn't just normal praise either, it was the praise of someone who... she hoped, was close enough to drunk to speak what was actually on his mind! The younger of the Braithwaite siblings actually dropped her phone, fumbling it between her hands until it clattered to the pavement. Her face was far redder than it should have been for something so... trivial. But was it though? He was her big brother and, shockingly enough, his opinion actually mattered to her a great deal. Llorona knelt and scooped up the phone, thankful it gave her a moment to both ponder the compliment and compose herself. As such, she missed the first interaction with the Sudowoodo, looking up only when Cyren called her name. "Huh? I mean, I guess? Maybe - why?" She asked just in time to watch Venus attack what she too thought was a tree - if only for just a brief moment.

Atlas had turned his attention to the downtrodden Machop who was clearly still not comfortable with the fact that a Rowlet had laughed at her for tripping. He would have told Deadeye to apologize but given that the little owl had already done so - there wasn't much more to be done for it. He considered telling Venus that it was not her fault, he knew better than most that it was important to fighting Pokemon to always look strong and well-balanced. He also knew that fighting Pokemon had more pride than most so, in the end, he said nothing to save her at least that much. 'She's quite adorable.' He thought to himself analytically. Again he was reminded that the Machop in question was female, which explained the way she wore the flush on her face. Much to Atlas's Chagrin, he found that his awareness had faltered while in thought, knowing only that they were faced with a grumpy Pokemon when the aforementioned Venus bolted into the creature. For the briefest of instants when Venus was grabbed, Atlas considered jumping in to lend aid, though his foot moved a mere inch along the ground before he merely smiled instead, catching Deadeye by the claw as he tried to leap from his shoulder and do the same. "Wait." He insisted, The Rowlet losing his equilibrium and surrendering back to the shoulder he'd been perched on. With his smile growing, he watched the hold of the rock type Pokemon fail miserably when Venus smashed her head into the creature's face, nodding in approval and with more than a little admiration when the small fighting Pokemon lifted the undoubtedly heavy creature above her head and quite literally threw him like a softball. had his gloved hands not been full holding the wish maker, Atlas would have clapped for venus. He'd known the moment he saw the look on her face when she was grabbed that this poor, stupid creature was about to be a victim. "his eyes continued to watch the Sudowoodo until it left his sight before turning and falling back into step with the Machop. He waited a few moments, Llorona up ahead also looking impressed as she muttered to her brother "No... No, they usually do not." before he chuckled and gave Venus what he hoped was an endearing look. "Very impressive." He stated as simply as possible. Not wanting to confuse the Pokemon in her current state or overhype her accomplishment. He couldn't help but wonder what she might be like when she evolved... Now that would be an opponent capable of bringing his youthful fighting spirit out for a match or two.

"Why is the tree flying?" Cyren watched the Sudowoodo until it vanished in the distance. The thought left him as soon as the "tree" left his sight. He turned his attention to Hal instead. Why was the Kecleon on the ground? She had just been on his shoulder. "Yami, blades...um..." Cyren stared at the equally confused Kabutops for several seconds while he tried to figure out what he wanted to say. The longer he was trapped under Jirachi's influence, the worse Cyren was getting. "Gotta grab Hal. Keep blades from cutting anything." Yami hissed in response. Kneeling down to pick up the Kecleon was going to be enough of a process without Yami's arms getting in the way. As soon as he tried to kneel, Cyren came close to planting his face in the ground. Yami ended up saving him. The Kabutops hooked an arm around Cyren, keeping the flat portion of his scythe against him. The other blade was stabbed into the ground. If Cyren fell, he would take the Kabutops with him. Yami wasn't having that. "Thaaaank you~" Cyren practically sang to the Kabutops. He grinned sheepishly as he picked up Hal and placed her back on his shoulder. Yami climbed off of Cyren's back long enough to help his trainer back to his feet. Cyren picked the Kabutops back up once he was somewhat steady again.

"We're looking for boats!" Cyren sounded almost cheerful. At some point he had managed to conclude their adventure was at a high point. Both Braithwaite siblings had endured something awful in Kalos. Things would be back to normal soon. "Alola needs boats. Unless there are trains to islands?" Cyren pondered the island train for a couple of seconds before shrugging. Building an island train sounded complicated. Oceans were super deep. How was someone supposed to build a bridge over an ocean? It would be easier to make a train that didn't require tracks...Something that could float, preferably. "Boats are ocean trains!" Cyren looked every bit like a big, dumb puppy as he shared his revelation with his sister. He was far too pleased with himself. If he could remember anything after his affliction was cured, the small part of him that was still able to function normally desperately hoped that the "ocean trains" comment wouldn't be it. When he realized that Venus was still walking, he decided to follow after her. Cyren trusted the Machop's judgement. She was the leader of his team after all! Surely she would know where they were supposed to be going! Even though she had never been to North Lumiose City before...Machops were smart. She probably knew anyway!

All of Cyren's optimism could not make Venus certain of which way they were supposed to go. She had assumed the humans knew so she was walking in the direction the trainers had originally been going. "Gotta protect my team." Even the idiot lizard. Her response to the praise was short and simple but she couldn't hide the little blush that had appeared across her face again. Cyren praised her plenty but it was different when she was being praised by a Fighting Type like Atlas. He was someone she looked up to. The Hitmonchan was powerful and when he gave an order, his team listened. Her team tended to act without thinking then she was stuck cleaning up their messes. "How'd you become a good leader?" The words slipped out before she could stop them but the Machop made no attempt to correct herself. Proud as she was, even she had to admit she needed help with some of the more...chaotic members of her team. She glanced over at Hal, who was nearly falling off of Cyren's shoulder in her attempt to follow a specific cloud in the sky. She didn't bother looking at Yami. Watching the way his blades swayed made her nervous. Maybe chaotic was too nice a word for them...

"I...wish I had an answer for you Cyren." She stated simply after a brief pause. There was little point in trying to explain to him that the tree in question had actually been a mimic of sorts, one that she was aware of but couldn't quite conjure the name of for some reason. With a sigh, Llorona shook her head almost imperceptibly, trying to shake the thought from her mind since she knew trying to figure out the name of the Pokemon would only serve to irritate her further. Watching every action her brother and his team made was actually bordering on painful. She'd seen groups of drunk boys towards the end of her high school career and they tended to act like this... well, they did when they weren't fighting or hounding after her and her few acquaintances. Just sort of aloof and really, really dumb. She had just started to rub her temples when Cyren spoke up regarding their destination, drawing a slow and deliberate breath from the woman. She nodded once, then again- repeating the motion slowly several times as she realized he was still taking them back to the Alolan region of the world. "They do not." She said slowly, forcing a smile that looked as fake as her mother's breasts when Cyren continued to declare boats and trains to be essentially the same. 'Just get through this, it'll wear off after he rests.' She reassured herself, mentally determined to will the outcome into reality even while the woman in the puffy, borrowed clothing continued to feel a creeping suspicion that whatever was wrong with him really wouldn't be fixed until he finished whatever the hell quest he seemed to think he was on.

Atlas, although walking ahead with Deadeye on his shoulder and the wish maker in his arms along side the smaller fighting pokemon - was still paying attention to the words of the humans he was still bound to. As such, the moment he heard Cyren declare that they needed a boat, his keen eyes began to sweep the area for anything that might direct them towards the docks they'd need to find such a vessel. It did not take long for simple signs, complete with pictures of boats, to convince him that they were headed in almost the right direction. The Hitmonchan didn't bother verbally correcting Venus or the others, merely increasing his pace just enough to get ahead of the pack before adjusting his course and continuing in the direction of the signs. If the blind were following the blind, they would probably follow him without much need for prompting. "I'm afraid I don't understand?" Atlas said, looking back over his shoulder just long enough to catch a glimpse of the expression Venus wore. He meant it too, the question itself seemed both random and as though it couldn't possibly be directed at him even if he was more than confident that it was. He'd been out of his ball a whole two days and did not know Llorona's team of what seemed to be mostly babies from holes in the wall, but they did seem to listen to him now that he really considered it. As for why... "I don't think I'm a good leader." The Hitmonchan started, slowing himself down once more so that he could look at Venus without having to twist his neck around. Talking to someone without eye contact was just rude. "The original master Braithwaite was a phenomenal leader, if a bit crass at times. I tried to imitate him as much as I could when I was younger but I never really succeeded in capturing what that human had..." Atlas seemed to drift away for a moment, a far off look in his eyes while he remembered the man who had helped him become so strong. Rescued him, trained him, taken a leap of faith with the broken and tired fighting Pokemon. Then Atlas smiled and shrugged a touch, deciding he really didn't have an answer for Venus but finishing his thoughts concisely so as to avoid looking like a rambling old fool. "A good leader has an aura of confidence. They project power and demand respect without ever saying anything or lifting a finger. People Like the elder Master had that aura. As such, others did what he said and listened to his advice without question almost every time... perhaps a smidge of that rubbed off on me at some point? In any case, I have no doubt with as strong as you already are that you will get to that point yourself if you keep training your body and mind... Just don't let the others see your frustration in the meantime." Atlast winked at the smaller fighting Pokemon and chuckled to himself once he'd seen Venus looking at Hal and Yami. Her question made a lot more sense then and while he wasn't sure if the advice helped and was almost shocked with how much he'd found himself talking in one go, being complimented and reminded of the master brought out the talker in the Hitmonchan. Plus he was fond of the little fighter. If there was even a chance his words helped slightly, they were worth the effort.

Cyren knew the answer to his tree based questions. He was sure he knew! Several seconds of mulling over the tree later and he had lost the plot once again. He really was trying his best. Meeting a Legendary had been nice but Cyren couldn't say he was going to miss the Jirachi when it was gone. The influence the Wish Pokemon had over him was leaving him both exhausted and miserable. "Kalos issss cursed." Had he been able to function normally he would have cringed at the way he slurred such a simple sentence. Encountering Jirachi was just another one of the many awful things they had put up with since arriving in the region. "Suuudo. Like your...small tree? But big." He said suddenly, his thoughts seemingly focusing just long enough for him to recall a fraction of the flying tree's name. Still, Cyren looked proud of himself...then Atlas walked past them long enough for adjust their direction. He smiled brightly- as if he had only just realized that Atlas was there. "Hi Atly!" Unfortunately Atlas's name had suffered the same fate as the tree's. He had only gotten it partially correct. His gaze followed the Hitmonchan until he slowed to talk to Venus. The distraction provided the perfect opportunity for a sign to make its move. Being the perfect predator it was, it remained silent and still until its prey walked right into its trap. Cyren wasn't sure if he was dazed from the collision with the sign or if it was another wonderful side effect of Jirachi. "I'm blaaaaming you." He grumbled at the still sleeping Wish Maker. Yami registered the 'thud' that followed his trainer running into a sign a few seconds later and stabbed a blade straight through it. Cyren did his best to read around the Kabutops arm. "...Boats is this way!" He did not elaborate which was "this way" was. The Kabutops was pulled free of the sign and Cyren continued on with his quest to drag Llorana back to Alola. "...'lola waaaaaay better than Kalos. Sun's good."

Venus listened carefully, taking in every last bit of information. At first it was because she wanted to know how to deal with the rest of her team but it quickly turned to curiosity. Cyren resented his mother. That much was obvious to the Machop. His feelings about his father were a mystery to her. She didn't know much of anything about him really aside from that he had passed away. "Sounds like he was a good man." Which would explain how Cyren managed to turn out halfway decent when his mother sounded like such a monster. Venus was quiet for a time. Like Cyren she was struggling to piece her thoughts together in a way that made any sort of sense. They couldn't get rid of Jirachi fast enough as far as she was concerned. After a bout of prolonged silence she managed to figure out how to say what she wanted to. "Might not be exactly the same..." She paused. That didn't sound correct but she didn't know how to fix the wording. "You're good as you are." That part sounded...passable. "I like you. Lolo's team too if they listen." No offense to Rhea but controlling either team was like herding cats. She would need to learn to be more confident if she wanted to help Cyren keep the others under control. "I gotta get better." She muttered to herself before appearing to lose herself in her own thoughts again. Master Braithwaite was Cyren's title now. He couldn't care less about it but Venus cared. Her trainer was kind and patient. That made him someone who deserved respect too. "I'm gonna help him earn the title." The thoughts behind it weren't fully formed still but Venus sounded determined about it anyway. The little Machop even looked confident...until she heard her trainer run into a sign. Aaaaand then Yami stabbed it. "Got my work cut out for me." She sighed. Venus looked around quickly to try and get an idea of where they were. That was when she spotted it. A single berry that appeared to have fallen from a nearby plant. "Feed berries to fix the stars." She scooped up the berry and studied it. Venus had no way of confirming if she had the correct sort of berry but she certainly hoped she did.

Vale didn't mind traveling on a boat, he really didn't, but this time the shaking did made him a bit sick. He blamed the previously acquired injury for that, and he stayed majority of the journey in the quarters, lying down. Fabian kept him company, though, although at first it was irritating since his companion pointed out that he was drinking the last night.. but that wasn't it. He wasn't that sick, anyways.
Still, they journey took a bit more than three hours, but at the end they did reach North Lumiose.

The city was a bit busy, as it always was, but Fabian found a secluded space for them to sit down and catch a breath.
"It would be great to cross the Badlands before night time." he said, after taking a sip from his water bottle that he took (not stole) from the boat.
"Don't remind me. This place fucking sucks, and it will be either full of wild Pokemons or.. people going for a smoke." Vale grimaced. Why was that a 'popular' spot for those people, was beyond him, and he wanted to deal with it as soon as possible.
"You tell me. You lived here for what, five years?" his companion raised his brow, handing him the second water bottle.
"Almost five! But yeah." he rolled his eyes. "Bike would help probably, although you don't have one."
"I have a Gogoat. It's almost like a bike." Fabian shrugged and then shot him a look. "And no, I won't share her with you. Get your own ride."
"Fuck you." he snorted, and then rummaged through his handbag, looking for the permit. "Well, there should be a bike shop in this Boulevard. But I still want to visit the South part, real quick."
"Real quick, yeah sure." the twin waved his hand mockingly, to which he nudged him with a bit more force. "Ow."
As he finished out the permit and the nausea passed, they got up and walked to the citymap, to at least check for sure where is the shop located. Thankfully, it wasn't too far, but it would still take a bit time from getting from the shop to the second half of the city. Still, he wanted to deal with it now, to save at least a bit time.

They did went through a bit of hassle with the shopkeeper over the permit, since it wasn't Kalos-leader-given. But she couldn't argue with the three, official badges anyways and begrudgingly handed him a bike. It was a decent quality, and he really hoped he hadn't forgotten how to ride one. He attached to it as much he could, thankfully he had only one traveling bag and it wasn't huge. But it made the trip to the other half of Lumiose much easier.

They really needed to move through the Badlands before it gets dark, and it was already around 5pm. Vale cursed - of course Jessau had to give him another thing to worry. He wouldn't just reject a Pokemon, but.. it didn't feel right. Still, to even get the Piplup to listen to him, he needed to transfer it to the fresh PokeBall, and for that they stopped by the Pokemon Center.
The nurse did shot him a questioning look, but after digging in the archives.. it seemed like its owner abandoned their team several weeks ago and canceled their trainer card. Well, it made much more sense now why was the PokeBall like that, and at least it meant that Jessau didn't stole it. Nurse then transfered Piplup's ownership onto him, and he relaxed a bit. He still didn't know what to do with it, but.. he will figure it out.
Fabian looked at him and then at the clock. "We better get moving, or we won't make it before evening."
"I know, idiot." Vale rolled his eyes and nudged him. "Want to race?"
"You are dumb." his companion snorted, but he saw a mischievous spark in his eyes. "And even dumbier thinking you could outrun a Gogoat."

North Boulevard was just as bad as the TV showed - the ground was vibrating, occasionally turning into more serious quake and the streets were cracked, muddied. Not to mention the countless Ground types all around. Strangely enough, no building seemed to be badly damaged, only dirty. And they all seemed to avoid the South Boulevard, which also looked like the hottest of messes.
"Well, there goes riding on a bike." his twin grumbled, getting off the bike. "And I'm sure it will be out for South part too."
"Yeah, that's unfortunate." Vale muttered back, looking around. "At least it's not raining."
Fabian rolled his eyes, but he knew he was relieved by that fact too.
Sadly, the Pokemons were just as persistent as the ones in Geosenge, but their first opponent was just a single Sandile. Despite the poor conditions, Tempest was able to deal with it no problem - even though she was really confused why her Electric move worked.
