A strange buzzing sound caught Thomas' attention. It appeared seemingly out of nowhere, and it was a sound Thomas had little to no interest in hearing. It was the sound of a swarm of Beedrill. When they appeared from the surrounding bushes, Thomas could easily tell that they were not at all happy; most likely from his attack on their offspring. They flew after him, and he wasted no time in scooping up Fennekin to run like a bat out of Hell. Foxi stood up in his arms, front paws on Thomas' shoulder and shooting Ember at any Beedrill that dared get too close. Turning a corner, Thomas knew he had to think quickly, so he dived into a massive bush.

The trek into the woods had been short before the first Pokémon had been encountered. A flash of blue blasted through the trees and landed on the ground just a head of Carter and Totodile, the trainer and his Pokémon locked eyes. Totodile was shivering with excitement and his tail was swaying a bit, Carter nodded slightly as the two took the trainer and Pokémon stance. The blur of blue they had seen was some sort of strange monkey Pokémon. It was actually mostly tan but the blue stuck out amongst the dense green foliage, the ape like Pokémon was bush foraging for berries and nuts in the underbrush and hadn't noticed Carter or Totodile period, Carter point to the backside of the Pokémon in the shadows and Totodile's eyes followed. He understood the command and began to quickly close the distance between himself and the wild Pokémon, Totodile took advantage of its blind side, he stayed quiet in his advance until Carter's left hand shot out, "Now use scratch on its backside!" He yelled, louder than need be to scare the wild Pokémon and confuse it so Totodile was more likely to land a successful hit. the scaled reptile Pokemon'a right clawed paw came up as the monkey Pokémon flinched realizing it wasn't alone, it was much to late though as Totodile's claws dug in and scratched the Pokémon forcing it to fall backward and tumble into a tree. The attack wounded the Pokémon and made it angry, it got back up and lashed lit at Totodile aiming to return the scratch in his belly. Totodile attempted to dodge but he was much to clumsy and his speed wasn't high enough to evade. The scratch hit home and produced a hiss of pain from Totodile that made Carter wince as well, he had never had his Pokémon harmed before. The pain only empowered Totodile as Carter gave his next order, one last scratch to finish the wounded Pokemon off. The two were at close enough distance that Totodile hit the Pokémon square in the face and knocked it out. Totodile gave a valiant screech and yelled his name into the woods while Carter came up and tended to his wounds with some potions before doing the same for the fainted monkey, once done he placed a pile of small berries he collected by the Pokémon so it had something to wake up too. "you did good buddy!" Carter said, picking up his partner and hugging him before they countined on their journey. Wild Pokémon counter 5/5 (Pokemon encountered!!) The fight had been quick and Totodile was looking good from his battle, he kept puffing his jaws up with a mildly confused looking on his face and Carter was surpressing a laugh as he watched. The battle must have been enough to level the small Pokémon up and he learned a new move, right now Totodile was getting a feel for the change inside him as he kept puffing his massive jaw up.
Carter rubbed his beard as he continued to watch, by his own internal watch Totodile would puff up two or three more times before blasting a spout of water out of his mouth, he had seen it more than once back when he was first a trainer and he knew how to speed it up. While the Pokémon was busy puffing his cheek a up Carter stood behind him and screamed startling Totodile and making him open his mouth in a yelp of surprise, a gushing of water blasted out and shot into the trees ahead of them. It continued for a moment before Totodile shut it off by closing his mouth and looking up at Carter.
The trainer nodded before patting his partner on the head, "looks like you learned how to use your water gun buddy. You're doing excellent." He said, praising the small reptile. He was rewarded with a nuzzling before they kept heading through the woods, the day was young and they were sure to encounter one more Pokémon before they made it through if they looked around enough.

The day quickly wore on to mid afternoon as the gang aimlessly wandered the forest, even though this was his first time in then forest Carter wasntvlost as he had remembered his steps and had purchased a topagrapichal map of the region. His skills as a Ranger would ensure he made it out of the forest exactly where he wanted to when he was ready to depart but he wanted to spend a day or two out here hunting Pokémon to see what he could and hopefully catch a new team mate, it would depend entirely on how the search went and if the typing of the Pokémon would work well with his current team, so far he had a water type, a dragon type, and a flying type that would evolve into a flying/fire type in time.
The panpour wasn't a good fit for his team because of its water typing, it would have left him open to three Pokemon being weak to an electric type if he had caught it and he couldn't risk that. What he needed was a ground type to cover that weakness but he wasn't likely to find that typing in this location and he hadn't seen a significant mountain range so far in this region to go hunt in, for now he merely had to take what he could get and train his current team up enough so that a hit from an electric type wouldn't blow them over, right now Dragonair was his only defender against that typing and she was also his strongest Pokémon as well.
With a sigh Carter sat on a tree stump and Totodile hopped up to sit next to him before spraying a jet of water into the air for no real reason other than boredom, as they had been walking he had been firing his water gun at any and everything because he was proud of himself and enjoying his new skill, Carter hadn't minded because he found himself chuckling each time.
Another sigh escaped his lips before he rubbed his beard down, bringing the stray hairs into order and his eyes scanned the trees around them, it was a decent sized forest and reminded him in a way of the forests he trekked through when he had done a Ranger tour in Kanto region. "Just like the good old days." He said more to himself than to anyone else before patting Totodile on the head. His blue eyes went back to wat hung leaves fall and the wind brush branches around harmlessly.

Night had started prematurely in the thick forest and Carter had found a decent place to camp for the evening, a small opening in the trees next to a stream that was wide enough for Carter to skip rocks and had a basin that it fed into before moving on that was deep enough for Carter to tell he could swim comfortably if he felt like it. the air was thick and warm inside the trees, trapped now that the wind had settled and he began to sweat a bit, the sweat pushed out odors that forced him to think of the last time he had bathed, the ferry he took to this region wasn't large enough to hold showers and last night he had slept outside of a town so he hadn't rented a room with a shower, he was going on his third day without one.
It wasn't uncommon for a Ranger to go a good time without a shower if they were in the brush but he wasn't a Ranger anymore and needed to remember that so while he left a stew he had set to boil to cook over the fire he relieved himself of his company with some toiletries and dipped into the cool stream for a quick bath.
By the time he was finished and returned to camp with a wet head and damp towel his stew was finished and he laid out bowls of poke food while he ate as well, Fletchling pecked at his food in an almost comical way, Dragonair chewed wah piece thoughtfully and one at a time, and finally Totodile scarfed down mouthfuls by the bite, he didn't care.
His blue eyes watched the three Pokémon as he finished his stew slowly, he was beginning to realize once again just how lucky he was to have such a good gang already, the journey had just started and he had a well rounded group that he felt would be ready for the first gym they were to come across when the time came.
He groaned when he stood up from the log he sat perched on, his joints had settled and were protesting after the long days of walking but he needed to move to get into his sleeping bag in the tent. Totodile spit water onto the fire before the four of them all retreated into the tent for the night.

Kintaro Satoshi With Scatterbug healed up and now part of the team, Kintaro was once more wandering around with Attica serving as his guide. Scatterbug looked thoroughly confused. He was still trying to figure out what even happened while sitting on Kintaro's right shoulder with Odiss still riding on the trainer's head. "Ah, I forgot to name you, didn't I?" Kintaro mused, looking to his Scatterbug. The worm only stared back at those shining glasses and tilted his head. "How about Hawke? A treasure hunter from long ago. He went in search of an island beyond his wildest dreams!" Scatterbug--Hawke--tilted his head the other way, although he did like the sound of being called this "Hawke" fellow. Attica looked up to her latest unhappy addition to their group. She did not like Hawke. Hawke was another rival for Kintaro's attention. It made her and Hawke start off rough already, especially when Hawke remembered that she was the one who beat him! Hawke was now glancing nervously down at Attica, worried that she might start attacking him for no reason again. Odiss was oblivious as ever, enjoying his time riding on Kintaro and being taught computer code. Kintaro Satoshi Kintaro looked at the Pokemon around him, glancing at Hawke last who had taken to resting on his left shoulder for comfort. The middle-aged office worker smiled slightly, enjoying the companionship of his team for the first time since he'd started this morning. Odyss was bored on Kintaro’s head again, but was so full of new thoughts from the coding lesson that he couldn’t focus enough on his surroundings to be a pest. That worked fine for Kintaro. What he didn’t expect was for another kind of pest to stumble into their path. The Metapod, more accurately, fell in the way. And Attica was more than happy to deal with it. She scratched up the unlucky shell Pokemon until it stopped trying to Harden. Kintaro couldn’t hold back the soft chuckle as Attica was clearly fuming. “You’re such a quirky girl, Attica. It was only a Metapod.” Mused the male before calmly tossing a Pokeball at his target. Attica stared incredulously at the new trainer as the button grew dull and Kintaro picked up Metapod's Pokeball. "This is pretty unlucky. Catching you like this will make us all have to work twice as hard." He mused, though he was still smiling in spite of this revelation. "Don't worry. You'll grow strong still. And you'll have plenty of patience for anything the world might send after you." He pat the ball like he was petting the Metapod inside before clipping it to his belt. Metapod would remain at rest for now. It had just been through a tough battle and Attica hadn't exactly been gentle with her attempts to get rid of it.

Kintaro Satoshi Metapod's capture was about the last good thing to come of today. As Kintaro began to wander with his Pokemon, and teach them about his views of the world he caught a quiet sound of static, the sound that played when old TVs lost signal, but there was no TV around... He felt a slight tingling that suddenly grew into a shock as three Rotom sprung out of his Pokedex. The Rotom in the center of the other two floated forward and chucked. "Well look what we've got here." He began with a laugh that sparked as he did. The electric Pokemon eyed over the trainer and his four Pokemon as he smiled. "Lets have a little bit of fun with this one." He said and the two Rotom laughed and then zoomed at Kintaro and disappeared into his pack. As they did, all of his Pokemon vanished in sharp flashes of red. Odyss gave a panicked cry as he tried to jump from Kintaro's head and was only swallowed up in the air by his ball. The two Rotom streaked out of the pack and into the forest. The first Rotom watched them disappear and then looked back to him. "Now it's just us, but I think we can still have fun just the three of us. Especially now that your other Pokemon are trapped." He chuckled with a cheeky smile. Kintaro grit his teeth and glowered at the Rotom, clenching his fist even as the knuckles clicked from the tension. "You...Let them ou--Gha!" How foolish the man had been to think he could just throw a punch at an electrified Ghost type. He'd met only one Rotom in the past, but it had been subdued. Nothing like the malicious prankster he was up against now. He tried again to punch Rotom and was met with the same painful surge that made his left fist now numb as well. He moved forward to headbutt the Pokemon in his fury only for Rotom to dip underneath the attack and deliver a much stronger shock to his chest. Kintaro shook his head and stood up after being hurled into a tree. He couldn't even remember getting hit in the first place now. "He-hey! Whoa! Slow down now, big guy. You'll get your buddies back." Taunted Rotom, floating down to light on the ground. He stared up at Kintaro who was no longer touching the ground, smiling big and laughing at the human. He zipped aside when Odyss leaped in and gnashed his little chipmunk teeth at the Ghost. "Hey, there we go! Let's make this interesting. Your little buddy here managed to jump right back out, let's let him decide how many of his friends get to come back!" He crowed, thrumming with electricity and staring down the determined Chespin. Odyss looked as furious as Kintaro, but he faltered when he was told his actions would determine if his friends got to escape too. Kintaro only continued to glare at Rotom and clenched his fists that no longer hurt. He didn't notice the lack of pain, but he was so used to ignoring his body that he wasn't aware that there was nothing to ignore right now. "Odyss. It's time to battle. Our friends are counting on us! Don't hesitate! Even if it scares you! We win for them!" He shouted, taking a step forward and striking forward with his fist. "Don't let this little imp trick you! You're the best one here!" Kintaro declared loudly, making Odyss strike a ready stance and bare his teeth at Rotom. Kintaro Satoshi Odyss leaped at Rotom without a moment's hesitation after Kintaro's rousing speech. His teeth clacked with each attempt to bite the Ghost-type. For all of Rotom's threats, it was a surprisingly simple fight. Rotom buzzed Odyss but didn't really hurt the Chespin very much. "Odyss! Let's go! You're no slouch, you have this devil!" Kintaro cried, encouraging his Chespin with this completely uncharacteristic energy that the man had not exhibited since they met! "Hey! Hey-whoa! Knock that off!" Shouted the Rotom indignantly, evading Odyss' bites and swipes too much to be trying to mount any kind of counter offensive. Rotom dodged another attempt to Bite him and sparked as the Chespin pushed off to try and tackle the Ghost Type Pokemon. Odyss staggered back from the shock and looked back to Kintaro who seemed to be contemplating their fight. The faintly shimmering man adjusted his position to sitting without actually moving downward. "He's nervous. He wasn't expecting you to be a threat. Which means we weren't necessarily supposed to be here." He glanced from his aimless musings to staring at Rotom. "Don't let him get to you, Odyss! You're the stronger Pokemon! Finish this with a Bite attack!" Kintaro declared, with Odyss turning away to salute his trainer. "You got it, Boss!" While Rotom was indeed quicker, Odyss proved Kintaro's hypothesis when he finally clamped his jaws on the small Ghost's body. Kintaro reached back into a pack that wasn't there to grab a Pokeball that had flown out of the pocket behind him. "This is a rare chance. I won't let you escape!" Cried the rookie trainer, hurling the Pokeball with all his might. He would regret it later when he finally finished for today. But for now, Kintaro didn't care what he would feel like in an hour. The ball clattered to the ground after Rotom fell and was swallowed up. It shook briefly, but went dim immediately after. Kintaro smiled and looked down at his clenched fist...Correction, through his fist...Wait.
"Uhh...Oh." For having just realized his body was now slumped against a tree behind him, Kintaro was surprisingly calm. He looked down to Odyss who didn't seem to notice yet that his trainer was...well...dead. One of the balls on his belt sparked and shuddered before a fresh burst of ectoplasm erupted from the button and planted Attica beside his feet. She had the same ethereal appearance that Kintaro did. Now Odyss realized something was wrong. "Homigosh! Miss Attica! Boss! You're Ghost Pokemon!" Cried the shocked chipmunk, biting down on his claws and whimpering in growing panic. "I'll teach you who's--! Uhh...It's over?" Attica paused, looking up to Kintaro, then over at Odyss. She was an observant Pawniard normally, but she was a bit preoccupied with the ambush they had just gone through! "Huh? What? What are you whining about now, you ninny!? I'm not a Ghost! I'm Dark Type! Dark! Like your stupid teeth when you bite something! Get it right!" She shouted furiously, unable to deal with Odyss' wild misunderstandings when the threat of Rotom was right there...at least it used to be. "Master Satoshi can't understand us and you know it! Shut up for onc--" "Attica! Is that what you're saying when you admonish Odyss!? You were trained better than that!" Attica was silent after being shouted at by Kintaro, her posture tight and her head drooped. Yeah, it was a big deal to know that Kintaro could understand the Pokemon as a ghost, but she was a little too busy being ashamed to point this out. Odyss wasn't sure how to feel. Now he felt bad that Attica got in trouble for correcting him--he was used to her attitude by now after all--but he was still afraid of what it meant for his Trainer and now one of his partners to be turned into Ghosts. "That isn't how Ghost Pokemon work, Odyss...but, you're still not wrong, I suppose." Added Kintaro, taking a moment from reprimanding his crude Pawniard to discuss the situation with his Chespin. "In that regard, I am still dead. To a degree. I suppose that means so is Attica...Hawke, and Metapod too." Kintaro's heart sank at the thought. His Bug Pokemon were still trapped in their balls. Rotom had promised to release them when they were beaten, but he never said in what state they would be. They beat one, and here stood Attica in the same shape as her trainer. Ghosts. "B-Boss...are you saying I-I-I ki-illed Attica?" Odyss stammered, choking on his words with tears forming in the Chespin's eyes. "I can't fight them! You and Attica already died! If I win--if I win again, Hawke will die too! And our new friend too!" Wailed the Chespin, bawling his little eyes out as Kintaro continued to struggle with the situation. He didn't think that was the case at all, but he couldn't say anything to reassure Odyss either...

kintaro began to wander with his Pokemon, and bond or rather train
them. He might hear a quiet sound of static, the sound that played when
old TVs lost signal, but there was no TV around... He might feel a
slight tingling that suddenly grew into a shock as three Rotom sprung
out of his Pokedex. The Rotom in the center of the other two floated
forward and chucked. "Well look what we've got here."
He began with a laugh, that sparked as he did. The electric Pokemon
eyed over the trainer and his three Pokemon as he smiled. "Lets have a little bit of fun with this one."
He said and the two Rotom laughed and then zoomed at Kintaro and
disappeared into his pack. As they did, two of his Pokemon got returned.
The two Rotom rocket out of the pack and out into the forest. The first
rotom watched then disappear and then looked back to him. "Now it's just us, but I think we can still have fun just the three of us. Especially now that your other Pokemon are trapped." He chuckled with a cheeky smile. He then unleashed a spark that weakly electrocuted Kintaro and the released Pokemon. Lv. 10 || HP. 70 || Gender: Male

Kintaro Satoshi It took a while, but Odyss finally calmed down after bawling his eyes out and apologizing profusely to his trainer and partner. "I-I'm really sorry. Attica. Boss. I was so sure he'd let you go! I didn't think...I didn't think--!" He didn't break down crying again, but it was clearly too painful to say out loud again that he felt responsible for the ghosts before him. "Stop your blubbering! You couldn't have known any more than we did! Idiot. Acting like you control anything that happens to me!" Attica chided, giving reassurance in her own aggressive manner. Kintaro shook his head as he looked down at his Chespin. "I'm not upset in the first place. Attica, you've seen my records. This is the best I've felt in years. Not a single problem since I came out of my body. If anything, I might owe them a 'thank you' for this." He remarked with a light chuckle and a small smile. Odyss didn't understand what was important about not being able to feel his own body, but it lifted the Chespin's spirits to know that maybe Kintaro would be happier even if he couldn't get the Rotoms to let him and Attica back into their bodies. "Not to mention it's pretty handy being able to understand you two." He added which only made Odyss beam at his trainer. "Wow, Boss, seriously! You can find the good in anything! I wish I was half as brave and strong as you!" Cried the Chespin with stars in his shimmering eyes. Odyss was feeling uplifted by the idea of battling with Rotom now. He couldn't be Kintaro's Pokemon if he couldn't pull his weight and prove he was worthy of such optimism! The Chespin didn't think about the obvious fact that he was normally the positive one. Attica was always crude and negative, Kintaro was neither positive nor negative. He analyzed new things and he was always matter-of-fact about anything he had to say. Odyss was admittedly grateful not to be the "silver lining" guy right now. If it hadn't been for Kintaro, he would still be crushed by the idea that winning battles was going to kill everyone he knew. Odyss still feared that outcome, but he wasn't going to let it drag him down if Kintaro believed in him.
With some more encouragement from the humdrum Pokemon Agent, Odyss was set on jumping into the next battle! ...If only they knew where that battle was. Kintaro scanned their surroundings and looked down to Attica thoughtfully. "Attica, let's go ahead. Odyss. I'm going to call as loudly as I can if we find one. You need to come to us the instant you hear or we could be in trouble. Ready?" Kintaro asked his Chespin. The little chipmunk looked hesitant at the idea of being left alone, but he didn't resist the plan. Kintaro was sure of what was going on, even leaving the newly captured Rotom where he was instead of interrogating it. When Odyss was finally alone, he began to wander around near Kintaro's body, unwilling to stray far in case the Rotoms decided it would be fun to attack the human's mortal bond. The darkness seemed like it was growing darker, threatening the poor Chespin all alone. Kintaro Satoshi Attica disapproved of Kintaro's plan. The Rotoms were quite gleeful in their torment of the man and his team, but they had also fled in different directions. He had the advantage. If he separated from his only battle-ready Pokemon they would go after him. They might even come back and harass the Chespin with his solitude. He believed Odyss would be able to endure regardless of what was going on. What Kintaro wasn't counting on was the dedication to their game. Odyss remained alone for a while. Heat Rotom had returned and was waiting just outside the Chespin's search pattern since nobody had come looking for him. That was seriously disappointing. How do you play Hide-and-Seek if you limit yourself to such a small space! The Rotom's heated body made him more impulsive and less patient. He lurched out of the bushes and made a big display of electricity and fire as Odyss cried out in panic and...bit him. "YEOW! Why you little! That's pretty messed up, attacking someone making this easy for you!" Bellowed the furious furnace. Odyss wiped his mouth after getting knocked loose, lurching aside to avoid a burst of fire as he lunged again to bite at Rotom. Another bite and Rotom shrieked in pain in spite of his body being harder than it normally was. "I'll show you!" Rotom snarled as he sparked and then electrified that metal body until Odyss staggered away trembling with that current.
"That's more like it! Now I gotcha!" Rotom thrust his hose at Odyss and belched fire in the Chespin's face, working as a sort of flaming punch that threw him back. Odyss staggered to his feet only to get hit with fire again as Rotom pressed his advantage. Kintaro came running back into the fight and shoved Rotom--much to his surprise--with his spectral frame. "Get off my Chespin!" The Heat Rotom staggered on uneasy feet before turning his burning attention on the lousy trainer. Kintaro’s eyes widened as he realized the danger of his decision. Attica shouted and lunges between the Rotom and her trainer, but the fire never came. Odyss attached his buck teeth to the Rotom’s hose and the two flailed around relentlessly as the Chespin was hellbent on keeping his grip. Odyss bounced once on the ground, then a nearby tree before he was thrown across the burning clearing. Rotom glowered at Odyss, brandishing his hose that was leaking flames from the end. ”This is it!” He bellowed triumphantly. Odyss didn’t flinch, and Rotom was shocked to find fire wasn’t coming out. He swung his hose around huffing and puffing until he got what he wanted...sort of. “WAH—!” Rotom couldn’t finish his dismayed cry as his oven body exploded and hurled an ordinary Rotom free to slump against a nearby tree. Kintaro cheered and smiled at his ailing Chespin. Odyss stood on shaky legs and smiled through the pain at his trainer. Another Rotom defeated. There was just the Mow Rotom left now.

Kintaro Satoshi Odyss was gearing up to cheer even as he was Paralyzed by the Heat Rotom's Thunderwave earlier. Hawke sprang free of his ball--another ghost--and slowly opened his eyes to find that he was not so slow any longer. "Whoa..." Murmured the Scatterbug. He hadn't grasped just how bad things were, or that this spectral state might be permanent. "I can fly! I always wanted to fly!" He laughed excitedly as he flipped in the air twice. Odyss frowned as he once more suffered for victory. "Aww, Hawke...not you too." Odyss' voice broke as he covered his mouth with his stubby paws. Attica looked angry once more, but her sharp glare faltered as it finally hit her just how much this was hurting her teammate. Hawke rolled in the air and looked down at Odyss. "Huh? Yeah me. What did you expe--I'M SEE-THROUGH! AHHH!" The Scatterbug screamed in shock and flailed in the air before descending to the ground where he could pretend to use his feet. Kintaro knelt down by Odyss only to recoil when his hand passed through his Chespin's head. That was not going to console the poor creature right now. "Hey, it's OK. Odyss, you're going to win. We can't afford to lose to these guys." He reminded the Chespin with a frown. "They did this to us. We won't be able to change back until we beat them all. Come on, there should be just one more." He added, looking around the clearing and then back at his still body. He was pale, but he didn't look like he was decaying. He couldn't be dead. That was something Kintaro had been betting on since this first began. Nobody was dead, just separated from their body. That was reversible. And he couldn't let Odyss know that he was starting to doubt that belief. The poor Chespin was relying on his trainer to know what was happening.
Odyss could only nod as Kintaro reached for his bag again and managed to pull some potions from his pack. He sprayed Odyss' wounds down and had to use this new psychic will to dab the wounds of his poor Pokemon which only seemed to make Odyss flinch. "Sorry, buddy. I'll treat you up right once I'm better. OK? You better not lose until then." He told the Chespin with a warm yet firm smile. Solidarity in a time of doubt. With Odyss still paralyzed, their next encounter with Rotom was going to be a difficult one. He had a chance of seizing up at any moment and that put him at a disadvantage against the Grass Type machine. Odyss was subject to all kinds of attacks being slowed down, too. Kintaro Satoshi Kintaro made the decision and Odyss reluctantly agreed. They were leaving their bodies to find the last Rotom. The oven Rotom seemed to have broken rank and approached them given the fact that Kintaro's new Rotom had shaken around furiously in his Pokeball shouting at the ghost for being a reckless idiot. Rotom was released from his Pokeball only to be staring down Odyss with his buck teeth seeming somehow sharper. "Uhh...Well? Whaddaya waiting for? You figured out where Mow is! Go get 'im!" Shouted the Rotom in frustration, making it sound like the group knew exactly where to find the last Rotom rather than understanding they had to leave the clearing to go find it. They still had to go find his last buddy. And Kintaro still wasn't convinced it was only three of them. Something felt off about the trio's behavior. They didn't seem like the kind to make a concerted effort. To him that meant they had a leader to worry about. Or maybe they were just acting childish and stupid for the sake of frustrating their victims more. Rotom found himself seized by Kintaro's ghostly hands and grumbled. He resigned himself to his capture and let the human ghost take him with them. "You're coming with me. And you're going to help us solve the problem." He informed Rotom, which only made the ghost roll his eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Assuming your little buddy doesn't keel over on you, first. It's one on three. And you didn't cure his Paralysis." Remarked the Ghost Pokemon, giving Odyss a knowing smirk when the Chespin whipped around in shock. He had practiced walking and putting on a strong front. He didn't realize it was still easy to see that he was in pain. With his advantage clearly visible Rotom was confident that even the Mow Rotom could beat them. It was a pretty even match at this point. Mow didn't have any advantageous attacks, but Odyss was Paralyzed and unable to move freely. The Rotoms had a good chance against their enemy here. Especially with their consistent suite of attacks. He knew what Mow could use outside of their three shared moves. Kintaro Satoshi With the new Rotom in tow and Odyss now requiring constant reassurance that he wasn't going to fail Kintaro took his team along to battle the last of the Rotom. The Rotom he captured was not being helpful even as he kept making references to where Mow wasn't. "Yanno...you could just let me go. Follow me to 'im." Rotom offered slyly, clapping his mouth shut when Attica swung her arm overhead and stopped shy of jabbing the electric Ghost right in his mouth. "Try that again. Don't think I won't cut you up!" Snarled the Pawniard while Kintaro frowned at both Pokemon. "Attica, please be civil. He may be trying to escape, but he's not wrong." He pointed out, making Rotom freeze up before whipping around to look at his captor. "Zzt! You serious!?" Squawked the little gremlin. The man only nodded in response. "You and Oven were not friends. Oven didn't follow the plan. Mow did. And you're eager to find him. Mow is your friend." Rotom shrank into Kintaro's hands as if frightened by the human's comprehension. "You don't want us to find him, but you won't leave him alone here either." Rotom sparked at that, shocking Kintaro's hands and jolting free. The sound emitting from the Ghost sounding like something a malfunctioning machine would make. "Don't let him get away, Odyss!" Called out Kintaro while Hawke and Attica parted when their trainer lurched forward into the darkened forest. Odyss cried in panic and staggered to run after their target. It was completely unfair to force him to run in his condition, but there was no questioning that Kintaro was right.
When Odyss did catch up, Kintaro zipped backward as he grew more used to being a floating ghost body and avoided Mow Rotom's Leafage blast that ripped into some of the foliage around them. "Boss!? Boss! Boss! I'm here! Ngh! I-I made it!" Cried the Chespin, wincing as his paralysis tried to seize his leg and make him fall. He staggered, recovered, and stood tall. "I'm ready to fight!" Mow came out of the clearing he'd created and stopped when he saw Odyss, rolling back with Rotom flying up behind and yelping in shock. "N-no way! No way you caught up to me!" He sparked up again and blasted a weakened Thundershock at Odyss who narrowly leaped away from the attack. "Mow! Get out of here! They can't get you too! Get the others!" Ordered Rotom, sparking up again before he was knocked out again by a completely unexpected source. Hawke was getting the hang of floating faster than Attica or even Kintaro. The transparent Scatterbug shot through the brush like a rocket and struck Rotom hard in the face with his own head. Both being ethereal, Rotom was more than able to feel the impact of the angry little insect.
Rotom fell to the ground and Odyss gave chase on a bum leg. Instead of fighting Mow, however, he was ambushed by a strike from Fan Rotom. The Flying variant Rotom cackled wildly as he swooped through the air for another pass, making airplane sounds with his mouth while sparking and shooting cutting gusts at Odyss. The Chespin flipped in the air when a slash caught him across the chest. He seized briefly and was nearly cut again. He twisted away at the last moment and caught onto Fan's lower body before they hurtled together through the low branches, smacking and scratching up both Pokemon! Fan flew off with Odyss in tow, trying to ditch the Chespin somewhere high so he could fall to his death, or at least be stuck until they could escape. Kintaro could only watch as his ability to fly stopped only at the middle of most of the surrounding trees. He was trapped too low to be of any help and Odyss could only scream in panic from so high as he clung to Fan for dear life. "Oh my, oh my. This isn't any good, is it?" came a voice from behind Kintaro. Mena...at least he thought it might be Mena...was floating by Hawke and Attica. Except instead of a ghostly Metapod, the Bug type was a half-formed slurry of Caterpie parts with her eye spots in two separate locations and the beginnings of Butterfree's features popping up here and there. She stared back at Kintaro as he gawked at her in shock. "What? Not everybody looks pretty when they're dead! C'mon, Master! I thought you were one of the good guys!" Pouted Mena, squeezing her fluid figure together into a vague representation of Caterpie. "You're a girl." Was all Kintaro had to say in response, making Mena cease in her desperate attempt to look "normal" to gape back at him. Attica only huffed and folded her arms. "She's a hussy is what she is!" Snapped the Pawniard. Hawke just floated up above to the treetops and watched Odyss' raging roller coaster of a flight around in the night sky. He should probably let them know that Fan went down...but he was too busy wishing he could get his body back so he could evolve and fly...

slight tingling that suddenly grew into a shock as three Rotom sprung
out of his Pokedex. The Rotom in the center of the other two floated
forward and chucked. "Well look what we've got here."
He began with a laugh, that sparked as he did. The electric Pokemon
eyed over the trainer and his three Pokemon as he smiled. "Lets have a little bit of fun with this one."
He said and the two Rotom laughed and then zoomed at Kintaro and
disappeared into his pack. As they did, two of his Pokemon got returned.
The two Rotom rocket out of the pack and out into the forest. The first
rotom watched then disappear and then looked back to him. "Now it's just us, but I think we can still have fun just the three of us. Especially now that your other Pokemon are trapped." He chuckled with a cheeky smile. He then unleashed a spark that weakly electrocuted Kintaro and the released Pokemon.

Kintaro Satoshi "Guys? Guys!" All eyes turned to Hawke as he peered down from the foliage above, flicking his gaze to Fan's landing zone. "Odyss is gone." He declared matter-of-factly. Kintaro opened his mouth to point out they already knew where Odyss was when the sound of battle came to them. The man's eyes grew wide. "Odyss!" Another brief flight through the forest and Kintaro was greeted with a disturbing sight. Odyss was lying on the ground now, surrounded by Fan, Wash, and Freeze Rotoms with Mow peering out of the bushes. To describe the poor Chespin as being tortured felt inadequate. Each of the three offending Rotom took turns hitting him with their respective forms' special attacks which was leading to ice forming rather quickly on his body with Freeze and Wash attacking together. The cackling Rotoms all continued to whirl around, ignoring the band of ghosts come to spoil their fun. They had the advantage. If Odyss couldn't fight then they couldn't defeat Mow. No matter how angry Attica got, these Ghosts were simply more adept at this style of being. "Odyss! Get up!" He shouted at his Chespin, desperate to see the little creature move if nothing else. "Get up, Odyss! You have to fight them! Odyss!" Kintaro was trying to call his Chespin out of the stupor of being frozen to death. There was a moment of Odyss struggling to look up at his trainer, but Wash sprayed him in the face. Kintaro was afraid now. He hadn't appreciated to what lengths these Rotom were willing to go for what they claimed to be a game. Now his Chespin was dying and he couldn't do anything to stop them. He struggled internally the most. Life wasn't fair. This wasn't the worst thing that had happened to someone today. Logic raced through his mind, rationalizing the tragedy as just another statistic. It wasn't right. It wasn't fair!
"IT'S NOT FAIR!" The Pokemon stopped harassing their target to look at the ethereal human as he seemed to shimmer with some newfound light. "Life isn't fair! That's why it let you exist!" He was struggling for words, but he sounded as though he knew exactly what he wanted to say. "It's not fair, it's never going to be fair! But that's why--that's why Pokemon like you are even born! To make it fair!" He shouted, getting only slight movements as his Chespin tried to watch his trainer. "So get up, Odyss! there's no Pokemon in the world like you! It's time you proved it!" Kintaro's eyes shed beads of light that represented tears in this astral form and the Rotoms began to laugh. Their cacophony of glitch-like laughter made it hard for them to recognize the sound of ice breaking, but the flash of light coming from behind them made it impossible to ignore their mistake. Odyss stood slowly as he was enveloped in the warming glow of evolution and felt a surge of strength come with it. To add to the Rotoms' displeasure, each of them were struck hard from behind by Kintaro, Attica, and Hawke rushing at them. Each was staggered and Odyss took that opportunity to strike Fan down first. His newly reinforced arm cracked the Rotom across the cage of his fan, jamming up the blades with metal wire and causing Fan to fall. The occupant of the fan tumbled out before getting tackled by Attica. Odyss raised on arm to brace himself against Freeze's counter attack. Wash attempted to spray Odyss again, hacking and gagging as water spewed from the washer door instead of his hose as intended. Kintaro held the hose shut tight like he had the Rotom in a headlock, giving Odyss time and space enough to charge Freeze and tear the freezer door off following three quick blows that dented and broke it. Hawke hit Freeze from behind again, jarring the Rotom loose and pinning it to the ground. Wash was swung around by its hose until it tore and sent the washing machine flying into a tree where the door cracked open and Odyss chased it down with a powerful tackle that dented the motor in the back. Kintaro stepped on the Rotom that rolled out of the ruined appliance, keeping it pinned with his other two spectral Pokemon.
Mow and Rotom looked nervous, turning to try and escape only to find themselves incredibly bothered by the gooey thing that was Mena. Rotom recoiled as a glob of ghost Caterpie rubbed against him while Mow tried to back away. "Going somewhere!?" Snarled Odyss, clearing the bush that had served as Mow's hiding place and snapping the handle off the lawn mower Mow had possessed. Rotom was shocked silent by the entire display. His friends had all been beaten and caught, he had been captured from the onset of this whole disaster. When Mow fell loose from his ruined host, Odyss grabbed Rotom around the small ghost's body before pinning Mow with his foot. He was understandably angry and now, finally, it was over. Or, it would be, if everyone would go back to their bodies now. Odyss looked to Kintaro who came with one of the captured Rotom to investigate the newly evolved Quilladin's victory. He had caught all of the Rotoms and now there was only Kintaro's own Rotom technically free. None of them looked happy, but Kintaro noticed they were all far more scared than made sense. Kintaro Satoshi The group of Rotoms were all tied together by some roots and twigs that Odyss had gone to gather and Attica helped him to fashion into the shoddy restraint. They returned to the scene of Rotoms' initial ambush with Oven's ruined oven body still smoldering opposite Kintaro's own pale form. He looked to the group of ghost Pokemon and then to Odyss who still looked to be in bad shape. He wasn't as badly injured, but he was still Paralyzed. In spite of all of that Odyss moved forward until given the command to stop. Kintaro could only smile at his evolved Chespin, quite pleased with himself that his first Pokemon had evolved within mere days of receiving it. Surely it wasn't any kind of record, but he certainly felt accomplished himself. Hawke had expressed nothing but pure jealousy seeing the half-grown Quilladin and musing on his own transformations. He had encountered other Scatterbugs and knew what he would become, but that didn't make his stories any less exaggerated. Odyss was now convinced that Scatterbugs transformed into fluttering rainbows of color and beauty that mesmerized even the worst of the worst. Odyss was so excited for his friends to evolve that he had forgotten nobody had returned to their bodies until spotting Kintaro. "You...aren't changing back. Are you?" Odyss said after a long silence. Kintaro looked from his Quilladin to the Rotoms they had caught and then to his own body. "I think we're going to be alright, Odyss." Kintaro said finally after considering everything they had been through. Even if he did remain in the afterlife Kintaro was content knowing that his Quilladin survived. Someone to remember him. It was more than he ever hoped for.
While the group were contemplating their lives as ghosts, Oven's body thrummed with a sound that made Kintaro think of a ringing phone. The Rotoms traded nervous looks as the spectre floated over to the ruined oven and dug out a fractured stone. A single divot was dug out of the middle of the fragment which looked vaguely like an eye staring back at him. The cold shiver running down his ethereal spine definitely felt like he was being watched. "Rotom. Why don't you look like yourself?" The Rotom that Kintaro captured shrank in the presence of this strange new voice that echoed as if multiple people were speaking simultaneously. "This is not Rotom. My name is Satoshi Kintaro. We've beaten your servants." Kintaro declared flatly, making the whole band of them groan or cry out in protest. "We've noticed. That doesn't excuse your possession of our things." Declared the voice, again that sense of speaking to a group nagging at Kintaro's mind. "No matter. Rotom will be dealt with in time. We will allow you to keep this trophy. For now." The voice mused, arrogance dripping like a tangible ooze from the stone's surface. Kintaro tried to dig further, get anything he could from the voice in the stone, but there was a cacophonous shriek as violet energy mixed with a sickly green erupted from the Keystone and blasted right through Kintaro's spirit body and shaking him to the core. Kintaro Satoshi Birds were chirping, Kintaro stirred in the early morning light as he finally woke from the wild dream. How late had they been up? Who found a mushroom? "Zz-ey. You 'wake?" He had to be dreaming still. "Zzt! Zzt! Rotom!" That was better... "Bzzt...Gigavolt--WAKE UP!" Kintaro swore loudly as he was shocked awake by Rotom who had slipped his Pokeball to speak with the human. He hadn't expected the ability to communicate to disappear with Kintaro getting his body back. Rotom frantically made motions with electrical pulses simulating hands until Kintaro's eyes focused on a sign language he had picked up watching humans. The signing was awkward because Rotom didn't really know what he was signalling, only the meanings of certain signs. "I see...So you are real." Rotom's head fell as if he were dismayed by the idea of not being thought of as real. After getting the trainer conscious and paying attention, Rotom pointed out a note left by his friends offering him thanks for letting them go. Kintaro didn't remember anything after the voice in the stone flashed him, but he couldn't find a good reason to have kept them all. Rotom was incredibly rare, but that kind of thing didn't interest Kintaro. Might have been nice to send Aly some new workers, though. They went on to explain there was some sort of connection between the six and that he could call on them if he needed to. Attica roused next, sitting up from snuggling against Kintaro's right leg and muttering a lazy "good morning" as she moved to get up. Mena and Hawke were hanging from threads overhead which Kintaro plucked the pair down from as they started to wake up and set them down. Odyss lay away from the rest of the group, seeming to have accepted his fate of being alone and cried himself to sleep last night. "Odyss? My, we had quite the night. Didn't we?" The awkwardly shaped Quilladin rolled over to gaze upon his dead trainer only for the tears to seize in his eyes. "Good morning, lazy bones." Odyss began to cry again immediately, lurching out of his pitiful position to cling to Kintaro's legs and knock him back to the ground. Pain shot through the man but he endured it as his Quilladin bawled and hugged tight to his trainer.
The moment was interrupted shortly after by a new electric signal. His neck hairs stood on end and he turned to see a bright yellow Shinx padding over to them. Attica was bristling and making a furious growling noise in the back of her throat. That gave Kintaro a good idea of what to expect, though he had already identified the new arrival as female from past experience. "Oh. Hello, there." Kintaro traded a confused look with Odyss and the Shinx sat down beside Kintaro. Her eyes were shining at the man's casual remark, a sweet little cat completely enamored by the trainer. Kintaro was unsure how to proceed, but he held his hand out to the Shinx and she immediately rubbed her face into his palm. "I suppose we have a new friend?" Kintaro remarked as he glanced again at Odyss who only shrugged. Attica was glaring daggers at Shinx, then at her trainer for giving such a shameless creature his attention. He held a Pokeball out and Shinx played with it until her paws touched the button and sucked her inside. Shinx shook only briefly before the tone indicated Kintaro now had another Pokemon! That was a surprise. Kintaro got up after setting Odyss on the forest floor and letting him reacquaint himself with his teammates to prove nobody--except Gandor the Rotom--was a ghost anymore. Aquacorde had been pretty as far as towns went but it paled in comparison to Santalune Forest. Everything about Santalune Forest was beautiful. She walked in silence for a time, afraid to make any sort of noise that might disturb the natural sounds of the forest. The sheer size of the forest should have been enough to intimidate her but she found that she was more at ease there than she was in either of the towns she had passed through. Hanako allowed herself to wander until she found a decent spot to sit down. She would allow her Pokemon to explore the area around her while she sat back and admired the scenery. There was no rush. This was the perfect opportunity to relax and bond with her Pokemon.
Zinnia and Lily took full advantage of the opportunity to roam, though both Pokemon made it a point to never let Hanako leave their sights. Peaceful as the area was, they couldn't risk anything happening to their trainer on their watch. Primrose occupied her time by monitoring Zin and Lily, not wanting the two of them to wander off to far without them. The only one with zero desire to explore was Vervain, who had flopped over on the ground next to Hanako, attempting to nap since it didn't appear like they were going to be moving any time soon. Hanako took to petting him lazily while she admired her surroundings. She could stay there for hours. Considering that their next destination was a city the thought was very tempting. The longer she could put off going to another town, the better. She needed time to build up her confidence for that.
"It's okay to stay here for a bit, isn't it? You guys don't mind?" None of the Pokemon protested. Hanako allowed herself to fall back into the grass with a content sigh. Vervain had the right idea. She wouldn't nap like he was but lying down was definitely more comfortable.

Kintaro Satoshi With Mary the Shinx taken in and cared for, Kintaro brought the rest of his team to bathe in the stream. Not only was he dirty, but his body throbbed from the fight with the Rotoms. The cold wasn't the most helpful thing, but it numbed his protesting nerves and was enough to clean him off at the very least. Varying levels of white marred his body from just above his neck down to his ankles. To any observer they would think they were observing the body of a warrior. He looked as though he had been torn apart and put back together repeatedly. The team looked distressed save for Attica who had already seen Kintaro like this. Although she was still staring... Gandor tried to comment on Kintaro's appearance but he couldn't speak to the trainer and Kintaro was pointedly avoiding looking at the Rotom whom he understood would inquire.
While their trainer remained defensive, nobody bothered him about the issue that prompted his changes. Odyss simply accepted thr concept that Kintaro was evolving but at a much slower pace. The bath was quick after Kintaro was harassed about his weakened body. He cleaned up, dried off, and dressed before moving on with his day. The team was recalled soon after except for Attica. Kintaro wanted to keep Odyss out for travel as well, but he couldn't bring himself to put his Quilladin through the pain of traveling while he was Paralyzed. The man walked along with his nose in his Pokedex and relying on his Pawniard to follow along and keep him from tripping, just like before. Their travels were not quick, but they were able to get where they wanted to go easily enough. Kintaro knew they weren't going the right direction just now, but he was more interested in exploring more of Santalune Forest before moving onto the city proper. Attica had no problems with that plan. She felt it would be best for them anyway.
The trip went a completely different direction from where Kintaro expected. He wanted to walk along and see what Santalune Forest had to offer, but now he was faced with a handsome young woman lazing about with her Pokemon. They certainly looked like a well-rounded band and took good care of their human. Attica accidentally stabbed Kintaro's calf and recoiled when he let out a loud yelp. "Attica! What was that for?!" He demanded, staring down at the Dark Type before noticing the female sitting in the clearing. "Oh...that's what it was for." He mused softly, getting onto his feet to travel some more now that he wasn't trying to dance away from what he thought was a raging Attica. His Pawniard fully regretted noticing, however, as the male decided to approach the newcomer and introduce himself. Kintaro looked at the Pokemon around him briefly before moving his hand to show Hanako a greeting. "Good morning. Are you lost out here?" Hanako nearly jumped out of her skin when Kintaro greeted her. She had been so far gone into her own little world that she hadn't heard him approach at all. Encountering another person in the forest had been the last thing she had expected. Quickly she attempted to sit up so she could greet him as well, only to be dragged right back down by the Drillbur attached to her arm. She hadn't even noticed that Vervain had latched on to her in his sleep. "S-sorry!" She whispered, carefully freeing her limb from Vervain's grasp so that she didn't risk waking him. Only once he was settled back in did she attempt to speak to Kintaro.
"Um...H-hi. I...We're not lost." Once more she found that she could barely manage above a whisper. Speaking to new people was always scary. Her face reddened as she turned her attention to the ground, picking at her dress as she stared at nothing. "Are we in the way? We can move." She could feel Primrose beginning to straighten out her hair, the Illumise clearly bothered by the state she had managed to get herself into after lying down. She really wasn't very good with introductions or speaking in general for that matter. "I should tell you my name, shouldn't I? Isn't that how this works? I-I'm Hanako. I'm not very good at this."
When she was able to bring herself to look up in Kintaro's general direction she found herself immediately distracted by his companion. "I've never seen a Pawniard in person before. She's very pretty." She said, finally daring to speak in a normal voice instead of a whisper. Talking about herself was difficult but talking about Pokemon was something she could almost manage.

Kintaro Satoshi The babbling did not help Kintaro's first impressions at all. He at least had the sense to analyze her, though, before simply passing judgment. His analysis was simple enough. This poor child had grown up basically alone. And apparently hurt. Kintaro watched the young woman as she fumbled through until she spied the glowering Pokemon standing between Kintaro's legs. Attica had her arms crossed over her chest, staring down Hanako as if that would somehow intimidate the young woman into leaving her trainer alone. She was a sweet little thing, she was impossibly beautiful...she absolutely had to die. Attica was convinced Hanako was sent here to lead Kintaro astray from his promise to Alyssa and that made her determined to get rid of the poor little girl as quickly as possible. One step was sharply interrupted by Kintaro adjusting his foot to block her path. Attica stopped and glared straight up before making sharp, rude signs to her trainer which he only calmly signed back to stop. "Yes, your name would be appropriate." Kintaro stated, showing that he had been listening even while arguing with his Pawniard about how to approach the strange girl. "I approached you first, however. Etiquette calls for one to share before asking." He stated with a flat, patient tone. She grated his nerves in a lot of ways, but he was going to treat her like a client. Clients could be insufferably stupid, but it was his job to teach them.
"My name is Satoshi Kintaro. That would be Kintaro--or Mr. Satoshi--if you're not familiar with the Traditional Form of presenting surname before given name." He braced his fingertips against his chest as he introduced himself. His actions were slow and measured, not a single movement was wasted in his endeavor to teach this girl how to meet others. His hand moved from his chest to to gesture at Attica. "This is my partner Attica. She is a trained Guide Pokemon and is fluent in several forms of signal languages. She can teach your Pokemon to guide the disabled and communicate if you require the lessons." Attica struck a proud and boastful pose but slipped and froze half-tipped when she was being volunteered to help this tiny human. Frantic signs displaying her desire to NOT teach anyone anything were ignored as Kintaro continued as if Attica was being perfectly well-behaved. The smile he wore was thin and hardly conveyed the warmth he was trying to teach to Hanako. "At this point, etiquette calls for you to answer in kind. What is your name? What are your Pokemon?" He queried, the calm demeanor seeming to slip as he felt that she should know how to greet and be greeted at this age. Even short, Kintaro could read a grown woman when he saw one. Her figure was impossible, but it lent to the understanding that she was fully matured. Physically. Still, he had made a career of teaching people like Hanako how to take care of themselves and the Pokemon he trained to take care of them. Patience was the key. He just had to remain patient. Hesitantly, Attica approached the girl and her Pokemon, her posture still hostile but she moved with stiff purpose to perform as Kintaro expected of her. A gesture with her little knife hands turned away showing she did not intend to attack. Or, she wouldn't have...
"Attica Go!!" By the time Kintaro was shouting his command, Attica had noticed and lunged straight at the Kakuna who had been sliding down a single silken thread above Hanako's head. He had been meaning to land in the pretty girl's lap when the Pawniard hurtled up at him, cutting his thread first before rolling in the air and delivering a solid kick to the cocoon's backthat drove him straight into the dirt. As the Pawniard touched down on the forest floor behind Hanako, Kintaro threw a Pokeball up into the air. It spun lazily as if he had no concern if he caught the Kakuna or not though the button landed squarely on Kakuna's head before swallowing him up. Kintaro retrieved his ball once the light went out, frowning thoughtfully at his options and how he would proceed from here. "I've hardly left." He muttered to himself, in awe at his own collection of Pokemon now. He didn't think he would need to trade somebody out so soon. He hadn't considered yet who would remain behind once he did collect this many. He looked distressed, at a loss for whom to send away at the moment.

Hanako liked to think she would have retained some of Kintaro's lesson had it not been for the surprise attack by the Kakuna. She had just been about to attempt to properly introduce herself when Attica had lunged at the other Pokemon. Within the next moment she had collected Vervain in her arms and was attempted to hide herself against her knees with the Drillbur still in her lap. Somehow, despite everything going on around him, he hadn't woken up from his nap. There could have been an earthquake in the forest and Vervain would have slept through it. She wished she could relax that much. If she could then perhaps she wouldn't be stuck in the situation she was currently. She had forgotten most of what Kintaro had just said! She could recall his name and, of course, the name of his Pawniard. How could she forget the name of such a cute Pokemon? Anything beyond that was lost to her.
Needless to say, she began to panic. Kintaro's distressed expression only made her more nervous as she couldn't be certain if he was upset with her for not paying enough attention or bothered by something else. She hoped she hadn't managed to irritate him already. At Prim's urging she managed to get to her feet, struggling to get out a weak "thank you". She didn't know much about how to interact with other people but she was aware that it was rude not to thank someone who had helped her, especially when it was a Pawniard that had saved her from a potentially unpleasant encounter with a Kakuna. Her panic had drawn her other Pokemon back to her. The incident with the Kakuna had cut Zinnia and Lily's exploration short. There was very little they could do for their trainer however. Zinnia patted her leg, watching as his trainer continued to struggled through trying to socialize. It was painful to watch.
Hanako attempted to find the words necessary to continue to speak without babbling, her efforts feeling completely pointless. She just couldn't remember. Fortunately for her she wouldn't have to. Before she could truly begin to dwell on completely forgetting what Kintaro had said a Delibird burst through the nearby shrubs and ran straight past them at a speed that should have been impossible for a Pokemon his age. He had vanished into the trees within a few seconds, leaving several parcels in his wake. A singular present had been a one time thing apparently. Del's game was still on. She would need to figure out which ones wouldn't harm them to get whatever he had brought this time. "Please don't touch anything." She requested, hoping both her Pokemon and Attica would listen to her as she nudged the closest present with her foot. She had no idea whether or not Kintaro had even heard her.

Kintaro Satoshi Had it not been for the surprisingly difficult decision, Kintaro may have possessed the sense to be annoyed that Hanako didn't retain anything he had just told her. He had finally pulled a ball from his hip while the gear on his wrist highlighted the outline of his Quilladin. "I know we only just started, but I need you to take a break. Rest now, Odyss. I'll bring you back." He murmured to himself. Odyss' ball disappeared as he finally settled on a decision and turned back to Hanako just in time for Del to rocket through and dump a series of parcels off. Attica was also shocked by the flash of white and red before running off into the brush. He turned around to see the packages all waiting for Hanako to open them. Her request not to touch anything was not lost on Kintaro, but he couldn't fathom the presents being too dangerous. Who would attack a child with gifts!? "Hmm. A Delibird that fast should work for a service." He remarked thoughtfully as he crouched in front of the nearest bag. He knew Delibird's Present was not the most friendly attack, but curiosity beat hard logic. For all he knew, this Delibird was actually an enemy of Hanako's. Attica cried out in protest when Kintaro untied the string to the parcel nearest him. A flash greeted the worker before it exploded right in his face. "GHA!" So much for a harmless Delibird!
While Kintaro recovered from being exploded by Hanako's attack rooster, his balls were scattered by the blast and inundated Hanako with a medley of new friends to greet. Including the darker Kakuna who had been trying to ambush her. Hawke and Gandor were first to examine their surroundings only for Hawke to skitter up to Hanako. The cute little Scatterbug stared wide-eyed at Hanako before letting out a pleased cry showing he liked her. Gandor could only snicker as he floated up around the young trainer and her team. He could only see endless fun and pleasure for his games with this little human. "A-are you okay?!" She knew from experience that Del would never do any serious damage with his presents unless he wanted to but the noise and explosion could be quite frightening. Hanako wanted to go check on Kintaro but before she could she found herself being greeted by the cutest of Scatterbugs and a Pokemon she couldn't readily identify. He seemed nice enough though, or at least she thought he did. She set down Vervain, who had finally woken up and was wiggling about in an attempt to get free. As soon as he was on the ground again the Drillbur wandered up to a parcel and opened it, much to Hanako's dismay. No explosion followed however, as Vervain began to pull snacks out of the parcel and offer them to the other Pokemon. He couldn't be roused from his nap for anything other than food apparently and he couldn't be bothered to question why there were so many other Pokemon around now.
Hanako picked up Hawke and accepted a snack offered for him from Vervain, holding the treat close to the Scatterbug in case he had any interest in eating it. "Del's played this game with me since I was a baby. I use to be really good at it." The key words being "use to be". Now she was more likely to explode than she was to find the correct gifts. She carefully made her way over to Kintaro, attempting to both avoid accidentally stepping on a present and the Kakuna. Hanako wasn't entirely sure what to make of him yet so she felt it best to keep away from him for the time being. "Um...Does this little one have a name?" She motioned towards the little Scatterbug and smiled down at it. It was so cute!
"Oh! Wait...Th-that's what I forgot." She was supposed to introduce herself and her Pokemon. Hanako blushed and opened her mouth to speak, only to find that she couldn't manage to get the words out. Talking about herself was hard. She took a deep breath and tried her best to collect herself before attempting to speak again. "I...um...I-I'm Hanako Lucali. My Pokemon are Vervain, Primrose, Zinnia, and Lily." As she listed off each of her Pokemon she balanced the treat on the same arm she held Hawke in so she could point out which Pokemon was which. After she was done introducing each of them she returned to holding the treat for Hawke. "Del is my grandpa's Delibird...He really means no harm." She paused and glanced around for the Delibird before going silent. That was probably the most she had spoken to any one person that wasn't her grandparents in a very long time. She was almost proud of herself for managing that much.

Kintaro Satoshi Kintaro recovered from his explosive surprise as Vervain found his way into a snack bag. Or was it the right bag? Kintaro was frustrated that he was being tricked with an explosive gift from a mad Delibird. He heard her mention it was some kind of twisted game, but that only made him more confused. Del had a pattern...Kintaro was good with patterns. He could figure this out. "So if there's a reason to this..." He looked to Hanako as she finally introduced herself and her team. The bag now at Kintaro's feet exploded once more and Attica shouted at him to stop. Hawke snorted at Kintaro's explosions and snagged the treat Hanako had set on her arm to introduce her Pokemon before Kintaro blew up again. He was growling with frustration as he regained his footing and cleaned the soot from his glasses. "I will figure this out." He grunted in annoyance before turning his attention back to Hanako. "That would be Hawke." He answered plainly as the Scatterbug enjoyed the company of his trainer's new girlfriend. Hawke had a painfully simplified view of the world. "I only caught him and Mena--that's Metapod--yesterday. And Gandor I apparently met early this morning. Funny, because I don't remember battling him..." Kintaro mused, eying the Rotom who looked offended before realizing there was a warning in the statement. Kintaro did not want to share the truth and he would appreciate if Gandor respected that.
"Attica you've already met. Then there's--" Kintaro reached for his hip only to remember that Odyss was no longer among his team. "Odyss wasn't feeling well when we got up this morning. I sent him back when I captured that Kakuna so he could get some rest." He stated with a bit of a bite in his tone. For all of his calm and detached behavior, it wasn't hard to realize that he was upset remembering he had already separated from his starter. It had been for a very good reason, but guilt still caused pangs in the male. Odyss was surely unhappy to be sent away and Kintaro owed him a sincere and thorough apology. He shouldn't have sent his Quilladin away. "Last there is Mary. I caught her this morning after tending to Odyss." He added, looking down at the amorous Shinx who was rubbing up against Kintaro's leg as if he were her absolute favorite thing in the entire world. Kakuna was sitting right where he had come out of his ball, staring ahead for the obvious issue that he was a Kakuna and thus unable to move well on his own. A muffled screech from inside made Attica come running over and roll him until Kakuna signaled for the Pawniard to stop and then roll him up to Hanako before planting him straight into the ground. The series of rough clicks and light thrumming from inside of the cocoon was enough to communicate his apology for scaring her. He was just looking for a cuddly human and a warm place to nap while he waited. Not that he could convey all of that. But Hanako would at least be able to work out that he hadn't been aggressive. Attica was only glaring at Hanako. She did not like the cute little human girl one bit and now she had to contend with the Shiny Shinx who had taken to cuddling Kintaro like it was going out of style! She couldn't stand having to be the responsible party. She wanted to cuddle with her trainer! While their Pokemon interacted among themselves and each other, Kintaro stood and watched Hanako for her own reactions. "You appear to be quite the busy trainer. Was there anything you wished for?" He asked thoughtfully as Attica stopped holding up Kakuna to cry out in protest.
