 Alamos Town is located northwest of Oreburgh City and northeast of Jubilife City, near the Ravaged Path. The main part of the city is on top of a large mesa in the middle of a lake. There is a bridge connecting the mesa to the mainland. The area around Alamos Town is heavily wooded with many hills and plateaus.
Though large for a town in the Sinnoh Region, Alamos Town is peaceful and quiet without any large buildings and structures or any mainstream businesses that would otherwise disturb the serene surroundings. The only well known structure in the town, and what most come to see, is the Space-Time Tower, located in the center of the town.
Within the Space Tower are large spheres rotating on orbits. Within the Time Tower are large pendulums. Outside in between the two towers is a long and thin winding staircase, leading up to the top of the tower. On the topmost floor lies a large machine that plays music by inserting special disks into a place-holder and pulling a lever. This is a similar function as a piano, but the strings are aligned in a cylinder. This is what makes the Space-Time Tower famous, for it is known as the largest musical instrument in the world, and what the towns people are very proud of.
 {Nando Naoshi || Clever Contest Leader (Click)} Nando is a wandering minstrel who enjoys music and as has a golden harp with him, which is shaped like a Mew. During both battles and contests, he is calm, and prefers to give commands without shouting, although his commands are more like asking politely. Despite that, his Pokemon are extremely loyal companions, and follow his requests flawlessly. During his early years as a trainer, Nando was at an impasse. On one hand, the enjoyed battles, and loved traveling around the world learning both about music and Pokemon. However, he also had a love for contests. Unsure of which path to pursue, Nando finally opted to follow both routes. He trains his Pokemon both in the practical art of battling, as well as how to use their moves to the best of their Appeal. When at last they made it to dry land again, a short flight later would bring them to a town that seemed almost out of time. When they landed, she noted that it was a lovely place. The people seemed friendly when they greeted her, waving and smiling. She felt a strange and foreign sense of peace here. As usual, she made her first stop the Pokemon Center. One stamp later and she was back on the street.
She saw a massive construct in the distance - a tower that reached far above any of the other buildings. It really was a master of architecture, but Kira knew nothing about any of that. She just thought it was a pretty cool lookin' building. She went for a peaceful walk down the street while four of her five dragons flew over her. Charizard walked beside her, ready at a moment's notice for one of Kira's whims to fly onward.

Elfana Aroway Elfana decided she would spend the night in Alamos Town, purely because she wanted to visit the Space-Time Tower with her Pokemon. Antarcticite wouldn't be able to get to the top of the structure but they could make a day of exploring the bottom of it. She decided to hold off on going to the Pokemon Center. They would be spending the night there anyway so there was no rush to collect her next stamp. Elfana couldn't help but appreciate how quiet the town was as she made her way through the streets to the tower. The relaxing atmosphere would go a long way towards preventing her Steelix from trying to hide behind he the moment he was let out of his Pokeball. She hoped so anyway. Her thoughts were confirmed when she released him from his Pokeball. The Steelix took a couple of seconds to look around and confirm he was safe before coiling himself up. He wasn't frightened. He was relaxing. "Imagine how long that took to build." Antarcticite was staring up at the tower, admiring the beautiful architecture and wondering who had built it. Something so detailed must have taken years! Elfana and the rest of her Pokemon sat with him, letting him set the pace for their day at the towers. When he would move, they would follow. By the end of the day Antarcticite had gone around a good portion of the tower. Elfana couldn't answer any of his questions about the architecture but she could answer some of the questions about some of the mechanisms on the higher floor- or at least how she thought they worked anyway.
Their day at the tower over, Anty was returned to his Pokeball and Elfana headed back towards the Pokemon Center. She rented herself a place to sleep for the night and asked the nurse to add another stamp to her booklet. After it was returned to her, she headed back to her room and settled in. They were leaving bright and early the next morning so she wanted her Pokemon to get as much rest as possible. She was going to stay up and research architecture. Sinnoh

Coronet that divided the region in two to the east. Emiri smiled fondly at seeing the mountain range out in the distance, it was such a long time ago that she had been to the Sinnoh region in the first place, and she remembered there in the mountains was where she had met Salamence for the first time. She stood from Charizard’s saddle and walked along the dragon’s back, looking out at all of her Pokemon, but did catch Salamence’s eye as she motioned him down towards her. He turned over in the air and leveled himself beside Charizard as Emiri helped herself from Charizard’s back to his, and she couldn’t help the smile on her face as she hugged around his broad neck. He had come such a long way from the sickly, almost dying, youngling that she had met him as, his mother giving him to her so that his life might be spared, and now he was one of the strongest Pokemon that Emiri had ever known.
In the near distance, just like Emiri remembered, music started to ring out through the air as they were nearing Alamos town. As she recalled it, the world’s largest musical instrument held its place in the center of the town, the time space tower, and as they came up on the town and landed to head towards the Pokemon center, Emiri went in and got her next stamp from Nurse Joy, marking down another one for the Sinnoh region. The Floatzel side swiped him twice before Snover knocked it back into the water with another energy ball. The brunette kneeled next to him to at him. " See? You did so good!" Cypress praised him as she sprayed him with potions. Cypress wasn't usually someone that would praise another or shower them with compliments. They’d left Jubilife behind at this point, but Cassio only seemed to get more and more antsy either the further away they got, or the closer to Alamos they got, Copper couldn’t quite tell…
”How did I get this thing to talk… Cassio, did you do anything when you shocked it,” Copper asked, he thought he had at least found all of the buttons on the device to know what they did, but there were plenty of things on the screen that he wouldn’t know otherwise. Cassio huffed, he knew he hadn’t done anything to it, but he didn’t know what had happened to it otherwise that it would have shocked Copper. It felt different though, like he could feel more electrical energy from it since that power surge, but the Jolteon felt like that could also be attributed to the surroundings they were coming up on… Copper couldn’t see it, but the sky had grown dark, and in the near distance there were flashes of bright lightning streaks… It wasn’t out of the question for a lightning storm to come through an area, but for the dog this one felt different…
Moving along the path, Nangi trumpeted at a sudden electric shock at her feet. Copper and Cassio tried to steel themselves on her back as she stomped and huffed, swinging her trunk at the opposer.
”What was that, what happened,” Copper asked, trying to look around, but he couldn’t very well make out the shapes of anything in their immediate area.
”Plusle, the Cheering Pokemon. It absorbs electricity from telephone poles. It shorts out its body to create crackling noises,” the Pokedex spoke then, answering Copper’s question directly and in the same strange voice that the map function had given him.
”What? How did it…,” Copper questioned, glancing down to the device again.

The last thing he needed was to fall off of her back, with as little equilibrium as he had in open air, there was no telling that he could right himself to not fall on something important…
”It was just a wild Pokemon Nangi… That’s all,” Copper reassured, patting her with an open hand on her back, trying to bid her to calm down. He couldn’t imagine that something as big as her faced a threat very regularly, she couldn’t possibly be harmed by something so small he couldn’t even make out its shape from the ground. Nangi huffed, starting to move forward again, and Cassio’s needles only bristled more and more the closer they got. Copper wasn’t sure what Cassio might have been bristling about until he himself felt his hair stand on end, but not from an uneasy feeling, from some sort of static charge it felt like, and that was confirmed for him as he started to hear thunder rolling in the distance the closer they got to Alamos.
”There’s a storm? Hmm, I guess we’ll have to find somewhere to stay dry if it starts to rain,” Copper mentioned, but then he sighed.
”Aw, they probably won’t play the space-time towers during a thunderstorm. I was hoping we could hear it coming into the city,” he mourned. They weren’t on any time constraints, he could probably find somewhere to stay in town while the storm passed to maybe get a better up close and personal take on the largest musical instrument in the world, so it wasn’t like a big deal, he was just really excited…
”The space-time towers are currently being vacated, and no one can go near them or be in their vicinity due to an invasion of electric type Pokemon,” the voice of the Pokedex spoke up then, almost like a matter of fact news snippet. Copper paused, he hadn’t even asked a question that time, how on earth was this thing starting to talk like that…?
”Invasion of electric type Pokemon, how…”
”Officials in the area are asking for any help in subduing or relocating electric type Pokemon in the area, they seem to be drawn in by the enormous lightning storm that has overtaken the city,” it continued, and that was when Nangi trumpeted again as there was another audible zap of electricity in front of her.
”Wait, wait what’s going on,” Copper called, gathering his things atop her back and moving forward towards her head, sliding down her trunk with Cassio quick behind her so as not to get knocked off. He did fall after sliding down some unceremoniously landing on the ground with a thud, barely gaining his composure. The space-time towers were under attack by invading electric type Pokemon that need to go away? Uhm… Sounded like what the Pokedex said, and he wanted to help…
”Mareep, the wool Pokemon. It stores lots of air in its soft fur, allowing it to stay cool in summer and warm in winter.”

Everything was quiet, for now, except for the thunder that just didn’t seem to stop, and he had to take a second to understand what was going on.
”Okay, everyone pause for a second,” he said aloud.
”Okay,” came the pokedex voice in response, and Copper blinked in confusion. He held the device now in his hand and tried to survey it, it didn’t feel different like all of a sudden he’d gotten a different one without knowing it, and he couldn’t imagine that he’d broken it or something like that that it would be acting up… But really, how was something like a Pokedex supposed to be spouting information unprompted, and then be able to answer a question or respond like it was…?
”Are you talking to me,” he asked then, glancing at the shape in his hand, feeling crazy for even considering the possibility.
”Yes! I am Dexxit,” the voice answered, and Copper almost dropped it as it fumbled it between his two hands now, terribly concerned that it answered him, and gave him a name??
”Wha-what? Since when can a Pokedex talk like this,” he questioned, and Cassio barked up at him now understanding that there was in fact something wrong with his Pokedex.
”I’m not your Pokedex silly, I’m inside of your Pokedex,” the voice answered again.
”What does that even mean, that’s not… What are you talking about?”
”Rotom, the Plasma Pokemon. Its body is composed of plasma, and can enter and inhabit some kinds of electronic devices or machines. When given entrance into a communication device, this Pokemon is capable of communicating with humans or its trainer,” the voice interrupted, giving a Pokedex readout of a specific Pokemon. Now, Copper knew, only on the surface really, that there were a lot of strange Pokemon out there, and more that he had absolutely no idea about in the slightest…
”You’re telling me, that you are some kind of Pokemon that’s taken over my Pokedex,” he tried to say after a moment, sounding crazier than the thought itself… Was this really happening?
”That’s right! I was trying to see how far the invading thunderstorm was stretching, and found the next city in the process. I’ve always wanted to see a human pokedex, so fascinating,” the voice commented, and that was when Nangi trumpeted furiously again at being zapped at by another electric type Pokemon. She swung her trunk recklessly, and Copper could barely make out the smallest shape of something running around Nangi’s feet, and he threw another Pokeball trying to get things to calm down for just a little bit longer so he could make sense of things.Nangi | Lv. 22 | HP 170 | Holding: Choice Band | Ability: Sheer Force | Status: Paralyzed

”Can… Can I have my Pokedex back…,” he asked after a moment, trying to mull over the information he’d just been given by this talking plasma ball it said it was… What was plasma anyway?
”Why? Do you want it back? It’s not very useful by itself,” the voice answered, and there was another zap and Copper dropped the device, only this time it stayed floating in the air in front of him, he could see the shape of it.
”.... And now you’re floating?”
”Sure am, it makes things a lot easier,” Dexxit answered, and now that it seemed like the Pokedex was under its full control, Copper could see the shape changing slightly, like the Rotom was accommodating for taking over the machine.
”... I’m not going to get my Pokedex back, am I?”
”No, I don’t think so,” the voice spoke, earning a growl from Cassio at Copper’s side.
”Oh no, I’m not going to hurt him, really, but this is mine now,” Dexxit replied, answering Cassio whom he could understand.
”Okay, fine, whatever, we’ll come back to that. There’s other more important things like an invasion of electric type Pokemon? Explain that part again,” Copper huffed, he really didn’t feel like arguing with this thing for right now, that was a later problem if they were going to keep getting attacked by electric type Pokemon, and what’s worse it sounded like before that the space-time towers could be in trouble.
”Yeah, there’s electric types all over, they’re supercharging the city with the lightning storm. People are trying to get them out of the city to try and get things back to normal,” the Rotom explained, then there was a thud that shook the ground a bit at Copper’s feet. And another, and another, he felt and could hear something moving towards them…
”Astounding! Dynamax has never been seen outside of the Galar Region before,” the Rotom exclaimed, and through the rumbling and a booming screech that Copper had to cover his ears for, he could see a giant shape looming over them as Nangi rushed forward to try and fend off the attacking Pokemon.

Play Rough- 90 [+72] || Earth Power- 80 [+24] || Power Whip- 100 [+50] || Iron Head- 80 [+64] ================================================================================================================================ Now running from the impossibly large shape that was attacking them, Copper gripped Cassio’s leash as Nangi fought to overtake the Joltik that the living Pokedex had identified as a Dynamax Pokemon.
”This really is incredible, Dynamax is a rare phenomena where the Pokemon affected take on an incredible size and gain so much power, but they don’t get harmed when the energy wears off,” the Rotom elaborated, floating alongside Copper as Nangi made another charge at the assaulting giant.
”Can you tell us anything useful? How do we beat it,” Copper shouted, only hearing Cassio yelp as Nangi trumpeted in a pained cry, and Copper could hear her topple over. He panicked, he could vaguely see her shape in the near distance, and he released the first Pokeball that he could grab to keep things going.
”Nangi, get up, come on,” he shouted, breathing heavily in running as he rushed towards her to see if she was okay. There was a screech above them, Arghett was getting thrashed by the giant bug, and Copper winced at knowing which of his Pokemon he sent out… The zubat wasn’t near as imposing or powerful as Nangi had turned out to be, and he soon fell from the sky as Nangi huffed and lumbered up to her feet.
”Dynamaxing doesn’t last for too long, the energy might run out soon,” the Rotom spoke, in less of an encouraging way and more of a guess. Copper groaned and rolled his eyes, for taking his Pokedex hostage this Rotom thing sure wasn’t helpful. There was another booming screech though, and Nangi trumpeting and stomping furiously, and Copper could hear the sounds of the thundering footsteps moving away from them, so even if the energy didn’t wear off, it sounded like they had fended off the bug for now. The Zubat in his arms had started to come to after falling out of the sky, just in time for a hoard of chittering zips and zaps to come at them from the sky.
”I bet Emolga are loving how charged with electricity the sky is, it probably makes for easy gliding,” the Rotom spoke again, like it was on some kind of expedition or field trip. Arghett screeched as he fluttered back into the air to start fending off the flock of squirrels while Nangi came up to rejoin Copper.
”This is ridiculous, they’re everywhere,” Copper breathed, throwing a Pokeball at one of the Emolga while he could vaguely see the other shapes dispersing from Arghett’s attacks, he felt like he could catch or defeat every Pokemon they came across, but there were probably hundreds swarming the city that wouldn’t do any good…

At this point he felt like his hair was sticking straight out, and he felt a static cling on everything he was wearing…
”Okay… Let’s be real about this… I can’t stop an entire city from being invaded by electric type Pokemon… But I can help out around the city… Right, or is that none of my business,” Copper spoke aloud, just trying to make sense of things as he walked with Nangi behind him, Cassio at his side, and the floating menace hovering around his head.
”I don’t know, is it? What do you get out of catching and battling away these Pokemon,” the Rotom asked, not sure what kind of question it was supposed to be answering really.
”I mean… I guess? I don’t know? These Pokemon can get hurt in a city if they don’t belong here, I can take them back to their natural homes if they don’t want to stay with me…? But also, I mean, that’s how you learn new things as a trainer, is by catching and meeting new Pokemon to learn about them,” Copper thought aloud, trying to make sense of what he wanted to do in this situation. It wasn’t safe, and there was no telling with this amount of electricity if even the slightest discharge could really hurt him, but he really wanted to hear the space-time towers, and learning more about Pokemon wasn’t a bad thing?
He heard something stomping towards them on the city streets then, clopping almost, and in the sounds of thunder rolling through the sky he could actually make out a sort of shape, something taller on four legs coming towards them.
”Let’s just do what we can, Nangi, let’s try to help out around the city,” Copper commented as the elephant turned to face the Pokemon coming towards them.

He can’t drive every single one of them out of the city, and he had no way of changing the weather so maybe they were less attracted to the lightning storm that continued to streak through the sky with thunder that just wouldn’t stop? But he could stop Pokemon from hurting things or getting hurt by just trying to mitigate the things around him to the best of his ability. He had Nangi fortunately, the Copperajah was proving formidable against the electric type Pokemon, she could really just sweep them along with her trunk to get them to move on or subdue them if necessary, which is exactly what she was doing as they faced a Voltorb, as identified by Dexxit the floating talking Pokedex.

They were all over the place and while Copper managed to help and catch one of them, he almost dropped the pokeball as it sparked with an electric current.
”Ow, that hurt,” he gritted his teeth, shaking his hand out. He could feel the electricity all over the place, his hair was likely a mess, and as he passed by a sign post, he felt another quick shock.
”Ow! This is ridiculous,” Copper seethed again, rubbing his arm, but he could feel the hairs on his arm standing on end, he himself was just covered in static too.
”The more you touch, it seems like the more electricity is gathered,” Dexxit spoke then, sounding almost excited about watching this unfold.

No sounds of distress, no sounds of anything breaking at least, and with the constant and very present rolling thunder in the air, he could actually get a pretty good image of his surroundings. Thunder in itself wasn’t as clear and prominent as some sounds, so everything was still pretty fuzzy for him, but he could see at least more than a foot or two in front of him. It was almost nice, were it not for the constant shocks he was getting now, having spent enough time in this super charged environment that the static cling was all over him.
”Let’s keep an eye out for things, hopefully the Pokemon haven’t been causing too much of an issue around here,” Copper commented, though Nangi trumpeted as a small shape scurried past her, and Dexxit was all over it.
”A Pachirisu, the EleSquirrel Pokemon, they are already indigenous to the Sinnoh region, unlike a lot of the other Pokemon we’ve already seen around here,” the Rotom commented, but Copper did throw a Pokeball, mostly to help get the small shape away from Nangi’s stomping feet.

It was certainly a dilemma, he couldn’t imagine how much internal damage this whole thing was causing… Would it hurt the space-time towers?
”So, are you so smart now because your just stealing my Pokedex, or do you actually know all of these things about Pokemon and places,” Copper asked aloud as Nangi knocked away a round sphere of some kind that he could swear sparked with electricity.
”Are you actually a blind human or are you making it up to gain something,” the pokedex asked in return, not so much snarky as it was trying to return the same level of questioning. Cassio barked, his needles spiking at the audacity of the question, growling with gritted fangs.
”How was I supposed to know you actually work as a “guide pokemon”? Humans put funny clothes on Pokemon all the time,” the voice spoke again in response to Cassio. Cassio growled again, leaping into the air swiftly and narrowly missing grabbing the Pokedex in his teeth.
”Hey, hey! Okay, I don’t know everything! The Pokedex is just scientific knowledge,” the Rotom tried to defend itself.

He was hoping he could make it through the city to the space-time towers… Even if authorities were saying that they needed to stay away, he just wanted to know that they were okay, or they would be okay or… See if there was something he could do…? He wasn’t sure that there was something that he could do, but darnit if he wasn’t going to try to save one of the one things in the world he was actually excited about. Nangi swept another small shape out of the way of their path as he continued onward, gritting his teeth at another sharp shock that seemed to dance across the air now at this point, and that definitely wasn’t a good feeling…

He smiled, the elephant was really doing some good work, and he was very proud that he was able to call her his companion. Moving his hand to pat her though, the electricity started to build up even just with the friction of his hand moving through the air, and they both started as he didn’t even make contact.
”Ow,” he yelped, at the same time Nangi trumpeted, the static shock there was pretty intense. The elephant stomped indignantly, huffing with a brush of her broad ears.
”I’m sorry Nangi, I didn’t mean it, it feels like I’m covered in static electricity…,” Copper apologized, it was fortunate that Cassio was already an electric type, so at least he didn’t have to worry about the Jolteon.

”We need to try to get to the space-time towers, I don’t know if we can help really… but I don’t want them to be damaged through all of this,” Copper spoke aloud.
”The biggest problem is that they’re electricity conductors to the max! Lightning strikes from the sky are sure to hit if they come down,” Dexxit spoke up. Copper hadn’t heard any lightning strikes yet, thank goodness, but that wasn’t to say that wouldn’t happen, if more and more electric types keep flocking to the area, there’s no telling how much electricity they’ll be conducting just by being in the same area.
”How would we stop lightning from striking the towers…,” Copper paused, he couldn’t fathom what he could do about that with what little resources he had at his disposal, until Cassio barked beside him.
”Sure, probably? With enough electric types, they could probably either strike back at lightning or redirect it,” Dexxit answered Cassio’s bark, as the dog knew that he could handle electricity on his own, but not an entire lightning storm.
”Enough electric types,” Copper repeated, as Nangi trumpeted at being shocked by a figure that started to skitter towards her. If Copper could catch more electric type Pokemon while they were trying to get to the towers, maybe they could work together and redirect and absorb and attack any lightning strikes that might come through?

Play Rough- 90 [+72] || Earth Power- 80 [+24] || Power Whip- 100 [+50] || Iron Head- 80 [+64] The borderline annoying Pokedex had identified the last Pokemon they encountered as a Pichu, and so far one thing that Copper had noticed was that electric types were rather… Small? It was interesting to see such a bunch of small Pokemon that pack such a potent punch with electricity, but maybe that was the trade off, something couldn’t very well get too close to them without suffering from electrical shocks, so maybe they were good at defending themselves and keeping themselves safe that way even despite their size? The Pichu was exceptionally small, about the same size as Orion if he had a comparison, but he was sure that it was going to be just as powerful as any Pokemon had the potential to be even despite its size. With his plan in place to make it to the space-time towers, he kept going through the city streets while Nangi brushed away another Pokemon in the air around them, but starting from the edge of the city and having to make it to the other side was probably going to come with its challenges, and he hoped he didn’t get lost or turned around…

Copper wasn’t sure if he would be able to get along with something so… the way that it was, but he should at least try? After all, that was how he and Abban had got on when he evolved, and Copper did always feel terrible about how that had ended up…
”Alright, Dexxit. If you’re in my pokedex now, how about using the map to take us through the city,” Copper asked aloud, hoping the talkative thing would be accommodating enough to work that out for them while Nangi charged at another assaulting electric type, trying to keep their path clear now that they had a mission in mind.

He’d be surprised if he’d be able to feel anything normally again after walking through the electric fields of this super charged storm, it felt like everything, even the finest hairs on his arms, were tingling with the sharp pain of electricity at this point. It wasn’t unbearable, and he could keep going, but if the electricity got too much more potent, would he as just a human be able to withstand the onslaught of electric shocks? He hoped that the people who were living here were fairing alright, this all must be pretty harsh on their homes and the things that they own, and just wanting things to be normal again…

Copper and Cassio had only been here once, while they were participating in that race around the world a long time ago, and he barely remembered anything, and wished that he had known then too that this was where the world’s largest musical instrument was. He would have stuck around longer if he’d known then, but that was neither here nor there. There were still plenty of Electric type Pokemon that were zapping around and keeping the electricity almost palpable in the air now, while Copper worked on capturing a Pokemon that the Pokedex called a Toxel from the Galar region, where ever that was, and also its evolved form called a Toxtricity. That didn’t exactly sound pleasant… Copper wasn’t sure how he felt about having a poison type Pokemon, when the Pokedex identified the two as such, but maybe they would be nice enough to not poison him to death…? He was concerned about the thought, he couldn’t recall if he knew that Poison types were a thing he had encountered yet, but it turned out Arghett the Zubat was a poison type as well, and the Zubat was pretty neat to be training with, so maybe poison types weren’t all as bad as they might sound.

Even with the thunder that continued to roll through the sky, creating a constant noise and vibrations for him to see pretty well all things considered, he had no idea where he was going anyway, and its not like he could see any street or directional signs to know which way the space-time towers were.
While Nangi swept away another Electric type as she was getting pretty tired of getting zapped at despite her tough skin, Copper had captured an approaching Pokemon that the Pokedex Rotom seemed pretty excited about. It was something called a Tigrete? And of course Copper had never heard of it, like all of the Pokemon that they were encountering, but this one in particular seemed to be pretty rare by what the Pokedex was saying, or at least it definitely wasn’t common in this area in particular. It was a medium sized cat Pokemon, that Copper had the opportunity to pet, and even though he regretted that immediately after being shocked, what he did get to feel of its fur, it felt really really soft and he was interested in the opportunity to at least get to know it, and maybe train it if it did want to stay with him after all of this mess.
